5 stars for Chipotle, -1 star for the mess they call a parking lot. This is the go-to place when my room mate and I are hungry and don't want to cook. The staff is friendly, the food is good and the parking lot is a complete mess.

pretty good but they haven't had carnitas in a while so i'm docking a star

The only things holding this chipotle back from 5 stars are the small parking lot and the seating is somewhat lacking. Otherwise my experience here was great; everything I expect from a Chipotle. Friendly, smiling and attentive staff all the way down the line, generous helpings, and quick service. They move the line pretty decently. This location can even fold my burrito so it doesn't fall apart after one bite (other locations SUCK at this). Two thumbs up from me!

Walked in at about 4pm, and it was neither empty nor super busy. Under the normal smell of fast food Mexican there was an underlying aroma of moist garbage. That could have been one of the other guests, but it wasn't the pleasant greeting I get at moe's. Anyway, I ordered a burrito. I ask for white rice and get brown. Whatever. Rice is rice to me. I ask for pinto beans, and the guy skips past them and tries to pass my food off to the next girl on the line. I get her to reach back over to the guy's part of the line and put some beans on with my rice. I get barbacoa and some other stuff. I ask for guacamole three times, but the girl refuses to acknowledge it, or put any on. It's at this point that I noticed she is loudly, open-mouth chewing a piece of gum. Gross. She ignores my final request for guacamole, and gives me some lettuce. She didn't roll my burrito so much as she just crumpled the tortilla around like a balled up piece of paper. The cashier was about as pleasant and cheerful as a cat in the rain. She struggled with my card, but got it handled. I thanked her and started to walk over to the dining area when she very curtly yelled "have a good day" at me in what was clearly a condescending tone of voice. So, I go to the soda fountain to get a drink. It's a mess. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a week. I get my beverage and go sit down at a dirty table, as none were clean. There are 4 employees sitting around having a loud conversation, then the guy who tried to withhold the beans sits down and starts eating his food. I unwrap my burrito ball from the foil, and re-roll the damn thing properly, so I can eat it without it falling apart. It tasted fine, but was somehow super watery. The tortilla got too soggy, and began to split. I got burrito juice all over both my hands. I can accept that fast food isn't going to be of the highest quality, but the service and atmosphere were terrible. I won't go back to that location, and probably won't go back to chipotle at all. On the plus side, their disposable forks were pretty nice.

I'd say I'm disappointed every time I come into this chipotle even if when I've ordered online, the staff is not pleasant and they don't make you feel welcomed at all, you get more of a rushed vibe to get out of the restaurant. parking is a hassle and sometimes does lead me to not want to stay.

Only reason I COULD NOT give this place 5 stars is because the parking availability is horrendous! But I guess that's a good thing because that means their business is great. The workers are fast and efficient, they are sweet and get the job done! They aren't shy with the portions either. You have to use a key to get to the bathroom btw. They also sell liquor and beer.

Im an addict - I admit it, a sucker for Chipotle Burritos. This location is always busy and really hard to get parking around the store, I usually park on the street if and walk up. There is a homeless guy who is always there to help direct traffic in, he is a guy I usually give whatever spare change to for his commitment to Chipotle parking. If you haven't tried Carnitas (pork) do yourself a favor, its a hidden treasure behind the chicken and steak. Also - TRY THE SALAD DRESSING - ASK FOR IT AND ADD IT TO YOUR BURRITO OR BURRITO BOWL! Wow, it is delicious. One other tip if you like cilantro, they don't have it out as a topping but keep in the kitchen and will add at no charge. Yes, Chipotle is a chain and you find them everywhere, but I bet this is the only one with a friendly parking attendent.

There's been a substantial amount of time lapse between my last review and this one, owing mainly to disclaimer/disclosure the at the bottom of this review. I'll be happy to re-review this restaurant when some management issues are fixed, but last night was a customer-unfriendly experience that causes this one star review. If you look at my history, you'll see that one star reviews are a rarity for me; they're reserved for those times when "customer beware" is present in the dining experience. Signage. It's important. It sets expectations. So when we arrived and found that the pork carnitas were unavailable, we were disappointed UNTIL we saw the sign explaining that, due to the humane standards required for their pork, there was a shortage. Bravo! Big kudos for that, Chipotle! This is one of the reasons we love you! But one very important sign was oddly missing - the one that instructed the long line of expectant customers that once they left the nicely air conditioned ordering area, they'd be headed to a furnace of a dining room. It's not an exaggeration to say that something big was wrong. It felt like the heater was blowing and they couldn't figure out how to turn it off. When we took our food outside to sit, all outdoor seating was occupied, and though the evening was a typical hot Atlanta one, that would have been at least bearable. People, we noticed, were sitting on the outside concrete floor to avoid the dining room experience. I asked a line person why he didn't tell people what to expect before ordering, and he said "We've been told not to do that." I then asked for the manager, who explained that someone "must have taken the sign down." This doesn't ring true for me. You be the judge. FULL DISCLOSURE: Several years ago I was chairman of the board of a professional association that represents over 4,000 restaurants. I currently run a large food operation, and I serve as an alumnus of the Small Business Advisory Council for Yelp. It's important for me to disclose this because A) I have many friends in this business who might take a dim view of the integrity of not providing full disclosure, and B) I have up-close knowledge of what it takes to make customers happy with their dining experience. P.S. TO MANAGEMENT: If you'll let me know when your issues are fixed, I'll come back unannounced (and without any discounts - please don't offer...it's not about that!) If your dining room is in working order, I'll revisit this review.

Stay away from this place had horrible service...the girls that work the line all have an attitude.... And the proportion of meat when ordering a bowl or burritos are not consistent they give a full scoop to some then half a scoop to others when you say something they tell you if they put more it's extra....I was out done how snotty and condescending they spoke to people... IF YOU LIKE CHIPOTLE... STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION , furthermore the tables are dirty & the restroom needed attending....

The first thing I did when I stepped foot was head to the restroom. The security guard informed me it required a key. This is the first time I have ever seen a bouncer like security guard at a chipotle. It's actually a great thing. The line was a bit long at around 5:20 on a Monday but they worked quickly. I did get les than a scoop of chicken in my bowl. Some chipotles are great about the "one scoop" and some are really stingy about it. The food was good and the chicken was fresh and a bit spicier than usual which I enjoyed. Overall a good lunch.

Yes, this Chipotle has long lines, but I've seen longer lines at Chipotle locations towards the OTP suburbs. Poncey-Highland Chipotle is located along a very busy stretch of Ponce, next door to Friends on Ponce, and across the street from Green's and Murder Kroger. The clientele at this Chipotle is often young, hip, and urban. The parking lot is small. The restaurant acknowledges this with signs that say, words to the effect of: "Our burritos are big, but our parking lot is small." It's not uncommon to see a panhandler directing traffic in the parking lot and asking for money later. If you can't find parking, I suggest parallel parking along Maiden Ln. behind the restaurant. I don't know how strict Friends and other neighboring businesses are with towing Chipotle customers, so be careful. Compared to other locations, this Chipotle is relatively small. It does have a nice enclosed and elevated patio which is a prime spot for people watching (traffic watching?) on Ponce. I've generally found the food and service to be good, which is consistent with other locations. Chipotle takes pride in its naturally raised meats, organic vegetables, and sustainable building practices. Tastewise, I can't tell a significant difference between a burrito at Chipotle and a burrito at Moe's or Willy's -- they all taste good to me -- but it doesn't hurt to know that you're eating better stuff at Chipotle. Burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, and salads range in price from $6.25 to $6.65 per order depending on the meat selection. Meats include chicken, steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. Cilantro-lime rice, black beans, pinto beans, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and other toppings are included. Guacamole is $1.80 extra. I'm a fan of the rice. Like other burrito joints, Chipotle has a made-to-order, line ordering format. You control what goes into your burrito from the very beginning. The open kitchen is located behind the ordering counter, so you can see all the meats and other ingredients being prepared and cooked fresh. During peak times, it's possible for the ordering line to run out of certain ingredients when it's your turn to order. One of my favorite items to get is the burrito bowl because it's simple, tasty, and relatively healthy. It's also easy to transport on-the-go. I like to get chicken or steak. All of the meats aren't bad. The chicken is surprisingly tender. I usually load my burrito bowls with all available toppings, particularly corn salsa and spicy salsa (in addition to the standard pico de gallo). The spicy salsa is indeed spicy. If that's not enough, hot sauce is available. Drinks, condiments, and silverware are self-serve. Satisfactory service. Overall, not a bad in-town Chipotle. Just wish the parking situation was better.

I love love love Chipotle! I can never get enough of it! Unfortunately, this location sucks... It is always busy here! There is never any parking here! You literally have to be lucky or fight for a parking spot! The line is always long here and it takes forever! The staff is really rude- and they are stingy with their portions. My friend and I love getting Chipotle for lunch. We stopped coming to this location and we now go to the Emory Village location.

This location gets such a bad rap because of its location and the traffic coming through. Yes, the staff is a bit rid and I've was played by paying for a side a guac until I found out that it was included with the veggie tacos. Despite the negative experiences, I've had many great times at this location. I'm glad that the staff attends to their customers and keeps the long line moving. Likewise, the food is tasty (the best of all the fast food Tex Mex places) but I can only speak from a vegetarian's point of view. I also recommend getting a salad with a side of chips if you're a nacho lover. You can have your salad topped with beans, meat, salsa and cheese... You get the gist. As for the drinks...Once upon a time, when margaritas were inexpensive as ----, it was worth going to Chipotle for happy hour. Along with the increase in price there seemed to be a decrease of tequila in every glass. Overall, I would recommend this location to people in the neighborhood. It's your typical rude, city fast food establishment but the food is well worth the five minutes that you'll interact with the staff. It's also nice to sit outside on the tiny patio. And for parking, I park in the lot behind the building and have never gotten a ticket.

I have eaten at several Chipotle locations and have rarely had a bad experience. This was the worst. I ordered a barbacoa burrito bowl. The server was not polite. The rice portion was normal. The black bean portion was light but I didn't mind. The barbacoa portion was extremely small. I asked the server if she could add more barbacoa. She said I would have to pay extra. I said that it did not look like the proper portion. I asked the next server if I could speak to the manager. He said he was the manager. I asked if that was the proper portion of barbacoa. He said it was. He did not look like a manager and did not appear to look closely at the serving portion. The customer behind me agreed that the portion looked extremely small. There was very little barbacoa in the servers pan so it appeared that she was limiting portions so she would not have to refill the pan before closing. The location closed in 15 minutes. The food was lukewarm and not a full order.

First time at Chipotles. I ordered the burrito bowl with beef and a coke. The rice was under cooked and had a gritty taste. The corn had no taste. The beef was ok. Overall it was slopped together and did not look appealing at all and the taste was so-so at best. Some of the tables were not clean and the floor needed a good sweeping. Not a place I would recommend. I have heard many good thing about Chipotles, so I will give it another chance but not the one on Ponce. .

I don't know if I'm just used to good quality in arizona, but I've had a dry spell with tasteless food at this chipotle and Howell mill location. The lines are out the door if it is during peek hours so don't waste your time. If you are by emory, there's a good chipotle there. I am a huge chipotle advocate but bad quality is majority of what I've had at this location

They have a 95 food service grade which is a plus and they have done away completely with GMO foods which is one of the main reasons I started coming here more often! They are very fast so don't let the line discourage you but some of the staff is kind of rude. The food is so good!!

  • Chris L.

This place is decent, but there are a lot of things that kind of hurt it in the long run. I don't like the idea of having to pay extra ($1.95) for chips and salsa when Moe's gives it to you for free, no exceptions. My burrito bowl was quite tasty, but I still feel like I was somewhat hungry afterwards, which never happens at Moe's. There's barely any seating in the restaurant and that really does suck when there's a huge lunch rush (I mean, this is a place on a busy Atlanta street, so the hoards of people coming here is a given). The parking lot is really confusing and much like a labyrinth in terms of getting out of it. Oh yeah, and another thing...when I come to sit down at a table, *please* have someone clean it off. It really isn't cool when I have to wipe away crumbs and straw wrappers off by myself. Pros: the food tasted fresh, the atmosphere was nice, good music playing, and the staff seemed pretty attentive (at least for today). Cons: not in the best of neighborhoods, but that's nothing the restaurant itself can fix. Not enough seating for the amount of people that eat here, unclean tables, not enough food for the price, *no_free_chips_and_salsa*, poorly designed parking lot

DO NOT GO HERE!! I have gone to this place religiously but I just CANT do it anymore. The parking lot will have you ready to strangle someone due to the limited and cramped parking lot. Recently their A/C broke down which makes the ordering process even worse for me since I, along with the rest of the world, HATE being hot and sweaty. It's July in Atlanta for Pete's sake! During my last visit, I ordered a chicken bowl and three soft shell tacos. The girl asked me to repeat the order even though I said it loud and clear. After she partially made the bowl she got the three tacos and wrapped them in foil?! I said I wanted chicken and black beans. She then unwrapped them and threw them in the trash. SHE LITERALLY THOUGHT I WANTED 3 TACO SHELLS BY THEMSELVES. My god. I eventually got my order after she waisted hella time (due to her difficulty hearing and all around sluggishness) and walked out frustrated and sweaty. Then i had to maneuver out of that maze of a parking lot with more cars coming in as I tried to leave. Never again. I'll give it 2 stars because the food was good.

This is by far one of the WORST Chipotle's I've ever been to. They even have a "security" to go with the ghetto experience of being there.

Great food-super price if you're on a budget. The place is clean-service great and the food outstanding. If you're in this area give it a shot-well worth it. Only drawback is parking but I can't ding them for that. Just be prepared to park on the street.

The parking is so tragic that it almost becomes comedic. We just drive over to the one near Emory instead- soooo worth it.

  • JJ G.

No matter where I am, I can always count on Chipotle to provide me with fairly consistent food that's inexpensive and filling. But this location definitely has its drawbacks. Parking is an utter nightmare. There's really no other way to describe it. Even if you're coming at non-peak hours, it's likely that you'll be frustrated by the lack of parking spaces. Service is typical...mostly drone-like and apathetic. Only occasionally have staff members appeared to be even moderately enjoying their jobs. But I guess I'd feel the same way if the only words I heard from customers were some variation of: "Steak burrito, no beans, double steak." The bathroom situation is interesting...you have to get the key from the cashier's desk, and it's attached to a giant spoon. No chance of stealing that sucker! Ultimately, the reason I keep coming back to Chipotle is because the food is dependable. I do appreciate their commitment to the quality and sourcing of the food, and because they've updated the pinto bean recipe so that it's now vegan. I also look forward to the vegan sofritas, whenever they hit the Atlanta market. Oh, and for the record, this is my usual order (in case anyone wants to brave the parking lot and surprise me with some delicious Chipotle): Vegetarian bowl with brown rice, extra black and pinto beans, fajita veggies, mild, medium and corn salsas, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and guacamole. It should weigh as much as an infant and cost you under $7, which, service and parking aside, is a darn good deal.

Worst Chipotle in the city. I refuse to go here anymore, but when I did, the only viable way to get in and out in less than 30 minutes was to order ahead. Yes, they are busy and the parking lot is a nightmare. But they are still sooooo slowwww when it comes to taking your order.

  • Steve K.

I have gone to various Chipotle restaurants, and by far the quality of this location is the worse. I always order the same thing. A steak Burrito bowl, extra steak and Guacamole. The last time have of my steak was chunks of fat, but I decided to give them another chance, thinking the May have had a bad day. Today I ordered the same thing, and the steak was overdone and extremely salty. If I am going to spend on the extras and spend $14 on a Burrito bowl, I would expect a little better quality.

  • David M.

This Chipotle is okay. The atmosphere is nice and clean which is a plus. It's very busy around lunch, so avoid if you're looking to get something quick. There's nice outdoor seating, but very compact. As far as the food goes, the meat was a little dry, but tasty. The chips are awesome with just a hint of lime and the right amount of salt. If you're a queso lover like myself, they don't have any here :(

  • Tera H.

I love going to this chipotle because the people are nice and they know how to cook the proteins right. Some of the chipotles I've visited in the past have served over cooked chicken or under cooked beef. One problem with this location is the parking situation. At certain times during the day there is zero parking in their parking lot, which is a pain in the butt. Over all though my experience is always good when I come to this chipotle.

Dear Ponce De Leon Chipotle, I love your Burritos. I appreciate the reasonable price point and ample serving size. (I am a dude who likes to eat and these fill me up no prob, just the burrito and a water and you are out the door for around $7). Thank you for cranking good burritos at a totally fair price. I hate your too small parking lot that at night has rats scurrying around it. Please consider another location nearby because the line is frequently out the door (although for the tech saavy I have heard their app can get you a preorder and around the line). Also on frequent occasions their are characters loitering outside of your store asking people for money or food. They do not appear to be hungry or destitute but I can see how they would be intimidating to some people and if I was smaller, female (no offense ladies) or had children with me I would find this more unsettling. Not shy here, I handled auto claims in all parts of Atlanta for years, but its just not good business that this is the norm... All this being said I am a dude and sometimes a dude needs a quick, cheap and somewhat nutritious delicious burrito and provided the line is manageable I will continue to occasionally give you my $7. Thank you for listening

Chipotle is the best in this sector. I can count on knowing that the food is going to be good and will be FRESH. There are a few favorites here. I can not think of a bad experience I've had. This location has one downfall... parking! It is always packed in here. Even in the midst of all the people they seem to have a quick response and they get it right the first time. Someone somewhere though should definitely be thinking of the future and the parking needs...

SO MUCH GUAC. Most fast burrito places give you a small teaspoon of guacamole atop your meal. The minuscule amount of avocado delight is lost so quickly you question why you even thought "this time will be different". Put your guacamole worries to rest as you order at Chipotle. They are so generous with their guac- It restores my faith in humanity, makes my heart sing, and shows me there is some good left in this world. It is $1.80 extra but its the best thing you can get for $1.80. I'm a big fan of the burrito bowl with carnitas. They also have chicken, steak, barbacoa, or veggie options. The meat comes entirely from naturally raised livestock farms and is antibiotic free. The burritos and burrito bowls come with white or brown cilantro lime rice and vegetarian black beans or pinto beans (I love options). The toppings are plentiful and typically fresh. Chips and salsa are not included so you have to ask for them on the side. I usually get out for around $10. I don't mind the price tag because a burrito bowl is enough for two meals. This location is usually really busy. The parking lot can get a little loco but there is plenty of parking near by. There are a few tables outside which is nice because the tables inside are all really close together. I prefer this location to the Peachtree Road location because it is easier to get to. Chipotle is my favorite of the fast food burrito places and the "food with integrity" philosophy is an added bonus.

I think everyone has touched on the parking so I will move on to the food. Pretty standard Chipotle which means it's delicious, filling, and fresh. I don't think you know how good this chain is till you try other places, except for Qdoba which is pretty damn good. The burritos are fat so if you split it in half and get drinks it's a great cheap meal for two. The place is clean and nicely laid out so it's great to eat in.

  • Jackie H.

Chipotle is just good. What on Earth do they put in that chicken? I don't know, but I like it. It's just cheap, good food. The parking lot is hella small and every time I go to this location it's crowded in the tiny dining area and even tinier patio area. Oh well, several times a month I need a Chipotle fix. The salad is wonderful too, but don't think you're eating healthy if you pour that dressing on it; it's 270 calories for just 2 itty bitty ounces!!!!!

    (4)
  • Dale B.

Oh the nostalgia I have for Chipotle. The flavors and aromas invoke sweet memories of the past. Unfortunately, I don't live in Atlanta. When I do pass through, I always make a stop here. This is tasty nutritional food at a low price. It's Tex-Mex style cuisine, where they make the burrito/burrito bowl/tacos in front of you. Fresh vegetables and good meat. Can't beat it!

    (5)
  • Samantha P.

Oh Chipotle, how I love thee. Let me count the ways... You really are the best burrito (salad) in the city. It's the best place to get a cheap, quick healthy lunch or snack. If you just need a bite, grab one or two tacos, and definitely try the Barbacoa (shredded beef). It's delightful!

  • William M.

Chipotle is my favorite burrito place. (A local Austin chain called Freebird's is a close second.) I would have believed that they put addictive chemicals in their lime-cilantro rice if I didn't already know that their food is all organic and hormone-free. My typical burrito is about 28g of fat (11g saturated) or 19g (6g) when holding the cheese, with 42g of protein, so it's moderately healthy from a not-making-you-fat perspective. But of course, the benefits of a hormone-free insecticide-free meal go beyond not-making-you-fat. This particular location is decent, but the cooks occasionally fall behind the servers causing customers to wait for a fresh round of rice/fajita veggies/etc. and sometimes I worry that they rush cooking the food to get it out quicker. Maybe they should hire another cook or two to keep up.

I went to Chipotle today for the first time. I lived across the street when it first opened but hadn't made it over there. I am not usually a big fan of chain restaurants and I'm not a big fan of the whole giant burrito pseudo Mexican food thing. Plus Chipotle came in when Tortilla's (RIP) was closing down and I had some loyalty there. None the less- I had a free coupon so my friend and I went and grabbed some lunch. I had a burrito bowl- i don't know why it is called a burrito bowl. It had lime cilantro rice (it was bright white) which was not over the top cilantro-fied. I am NOT a cilantro fan so that was a plus for me. I had guacamole, cheese, pinto, and black beans as well as the hot salsa. The hot salsa was really great (it made my nose run a bit!!) and the guacamole was not super garlic-y which I loved. There was no way anyone should eat the whole thing- it was a lot of food!!!! It tasted very fresh and I really did enjoy it. There is not a HUGE selection of items that you can have added to a burrito/ taco/ bowl but the stuff seems to be good. It looks like they try to keep it simple. I noticed that they avoid chemical stuff in food and that's great. It felt fresher than Willy's and Moe's. They have beer, IZZE sodas and some juices in addition to a Coke fountain and Margaritas. I didn't drive but parking looked hellish! Another reason to think that maybe MARTA would be great if it didn't suck and cost way too much. If I still lived across the street I would probably go back more often.

Actually, I've been here many, many times. Usually it's because the people I go with don't appreciate burritos of a better kind (Willy's, for instance) and will prefer Chipotle. Which is fine. Chipotle delivers a consistent product, and I get pretty full from eating here. However, I deduct one star, because they seriously, seriously, need to give you more ingredients... Today, I ordered a burrito bowl, as did the man in front of me. The man received about 2.5 large scoops of rice + beans, while I received only 1 scoop of rice and beans. Is that justice? Nope. Does it matter that I (theoretically) can't eat as much as that man? Nope. And actually, when my bowl reached the end of the assembly line, it was looking a little pitiful. What I really should have done was bitch and ask for more ingredients, but I decided to pass on that. Anyways, so I ate the whole bowl, but was STILL hungry afterwards, which never, ever happens when I eat a Chipotle. What's the deal, Chipotle-people?! When I pay you to feed me, you damn well better feed me!!

  • Nathan J.

Yup, parking sucks, and the line is always long, but I think the staff, no matter if they want to be there or not, make up for it by heaping the toppings on your burrito or bowl, whatever it may be. Never ran into the bums, yet anyway, but the key to the bathroom sucks as well, hate that, hehe.

  • Sarah M.

I love Chipotle - the salad here is the best. I always get mine with barbacoa, all four salsas (in place of dressing), a half handful of cheese and black beans and it is the most filling, healthy, cheap meal in town. Would come here every day if I could! Would love if they had a tofu option for my salad- I don't love the pepper vegetarian option...

I came here the other night with some friends I haven't seen in quite some time, and this place seemed like it would hit the spot. First, I would like to say how awful the parking situation is. We had to park across the street in the Kroger parking lot because some drivers in the tiny parking lot for the restaurant did not understand proper driving etiquette. Once we finally made it inside, ordering was very difficult because they fired questions at a rate almost too fast for me to comprehend. It was also loud, and they did not speak up loud enough for me to hear whatever they were asking me. The chips, guacamole, and even the salsa are all extra on top of what you choose to order. In my opinion, that makes this place a double dollar sign place instead of a one dollar sign place. Now, for the food part...WOW. This stuff is not to be messed with. It is fantastic! The chicken I had in my burrito bowl was deliciously seasoned, and the guacamole was so fresh. And those chips! I don't know what they put on them, but wow, even those were awesome. In the end, I would recommend going to a different Chipotle location just to save yourself the torture of finding a parking space.

I teetered between 3 and 4 stars and decided on 4 because I do like the taste of the food and I would be happy to come here again. What I don't like: Tortilla chips are not free, tortilla on burrito is not heated, guac on a burrito is $1.75 extra, and $8 for a burrito (steak burrito with guac) at a fast food restaurant is a lot. Also, burrito was strangely spicy. Lastly, there are bums and weird people hanging out outside. What I do like: Burritos are very yummy. All the ingredients seem very fresh and are individually good. The steak, the guac, the rice, all are yummy. Together, they are delish. I think the steak at Chipotle is of better quality than the steak at Moe's (2nd best) and Willy's (3rd). I thought the staff was nice and friendly too. Also, sour cream is a free add on.

I wont say much here, i kind of already reviewed this place in my Qdoba review. however, i will second Jen H.'s review. I do like their steak here. All of the other meats are too much on the dry side for me. This steak is kind of too tough for me though. i feel like my jaws have had a workout when I finish (that's what she said)...I like their salsa, really spicy. Love their chips--they are sprinkled with lime and salt I like their patio but hate their parking situation. Why aren't their freaking chips free??!! why is everything extra that you add on??!! why don't they steam their freaking tortillas!!! That iphone app is cool. but i have a droid, so it means nothing to me!

I don't know what was going on today but it just didn't do it for me. No chicken or steak at around 1pm what the hell... I've had better. Oh yeah and the parking sucks.

Slow, slow , SLOW! This place used to have fast service but now employes stand around in back, the line on my last two visits either went out the door or back into the dining room. No problem, let's change pans, have a shout out to our buds in line, and tell jokes to our fellow employees. I'll not be back to this location.

I'll admit it: I was a hater. I hadn't ever set foot in a Chipotle until late last year in NYC. It didn't appeal to me on any level. I don't eat fast food. I don't like the mention of McDonald's within 500 feet of my person. Despite not having tried it, I found it easy to mock the people going in there, to sneer at the faux-Mexican food, and to insist that it never enter my intestines, no matter who vouched for it. My ever-awesome boyfriend had a sit down with me. He looked me straight in the eye [I only have one] and said, "just try it. If you don't like it, I'll never, ever mention it again." He wasn't arguing for its culinary superiority or authenticity, just that it's flavorful, usually fresh, cheap, and most importantly, reliable. 17 barbacoa tacos, 5 black bean burritos and a chicken burrito bowl later, I couldn't agree more. No, it's not real Mexican. But it's damn tasty. Food doesn't necessarily have to be authentic to a particular remote region of the world to taste good. There's lots of variations in between. If you want real Mexican or real Latin food, I would never suggest coming here. There's really no point in making those comparisons. There's a grand distinction between pretty fresh fast food and a slow cooked, authentic sit down dinner. Apples and oranges, man. If you want something easy, tasty, and not devastating to your colon and wallet, it's a fine way to go. In the fast food/convenience department, they do set themselves apart from the greasy, tasteless rest.

I've only eaten here one other time, and because my date was a regular I left the ordering to him. Last night I decided to pop in for a snack to take home for the game...I pass by often, and always think "why not?"...I'll keep passing by from now on! I was pushed through the line so fast I got whiplash, and in the end had no idea what I was served...but I know it wasn't what I wanted. By the time I got home, say 10 minutes max, my soft tacos were a squishy mess. The barbacoa was so salty I couldn't eat it. At least the salsa and guacamole were tasty and plentiful, as that was all I could salvage (or identify). Yech!

Visited today and experienced terrible customer service. The management needs to pay better attention to attitude of employees. I work too hard to spend my money somewhere and get treated like I'm a nuisance! I won't be back!

McMexican This faux mexi-cali eatery was once a subsidiary of McDonalds; and it shows in every, bland, homogenized item on their menu. If you're in high school or college and too poor and/or inexperienced to get better, then by all means: go for it. It's a healthier alternative to Taco Hell. But, if you have a real job and can afford better, then for pete's sake, go somewhere else. The frat boys are hungry and you're holdin up the line.

This is probably my least favorite Chipotle location. I usually am able to give every other Chipotle 5 stars. I always thought the meat here was saltier than at other locations. Also, the staff was never really friendly, and I often had trouble communicating with them. I hope Chipotle, Inc. can improve this location.

  • Karl H.

First off, you should know that this is my favorite chain ever -- I eat at a Chipotle at least 5 times a week. That said, this one on Ponce is my "home" -- they told me last week that I was their 5th best customer. 5th??!! Who the heck is better??!!

Worst parking situation ever. I wish I could go to a different location solely because of the parking. The portions and staff here are okay. They're always crowded at lunch (like most Chioptles, but they seem to move a little slower)

I've been to this chipotle a couple of times, and i have to drive here so I guess that is affecting my review a lot. I have yet to park in the parking lot because it's always so freaking busy. There never fails to be a line snaking around the restaurant, if not outside the door. They work it fast, don't get me wrong but you definitely have to wait a bit. The food prep line is usually friendly and helpful, but the last time i went they didn't really talk to me, just stared at me and half listened to what I requested. I had to ask twice for a few things, and let's be honest, when I PAY FOR chips and salsa, I expect there to be more than 10 chips. That just irked me.

As this location is blocks from my home it is a frequent stop. The service is always quick and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I like the way you can mix and match what you want. I probably get tacos 2/3 of the time and a burrito the rest of the time; chicken, carnitas, shredded beef - you can order differently every time and not get bored. When you are looking for quick tacos or burritos, Chipotle is the answer.

  • Bridget U.

I would give them a 5 if they weren't owned by McDs. But they are awesome- cheap, delicious, and healthy. You can order and pay online and just pop in a grab the loot and go. Also, they use some organic beans, which is great, and their meat is hormone and antibiotic free, great for my man who does it meat even if I do not. Also, sometimes ordering offline you will end up with a burrito instead of a burrito bowl or no cheese or no guac- but this is about 1/3 or even 1/4 times. It is unfortunate but I am laid back enough that it does not phase me. Delicious to the extreme.

This potle is a bit less than the others I've been to - they are very reluctant to add more of anything you ask for - the peppers and onions are often undercooked. The staff is alright, but not excited/happy as I have seen in many of the potle's in the US!

As good as any other Chipotle I've been to. I went here during the lunch rush, and the servers on the line were able to keep up with the crowd really well. Not too consistent with scoops of rice, beans, salsa, etc, but if you ask them to give you more of something, they will. The parking lot is really cramped and hard to maneuver in my little car, so I can only imagine how complicated it is in a truck or SUV. Even then, the hassle is still worth it for the quality of food.

    (5)
  • Daniel R.

I'll admit, I'm a huge fan of the Potle. For less than $7 I get my monthly fix of red tomatillo salsa and chipotle tabasco on a chicken fajita burrito. There are many variations that I covet including the carnitas with pintos, green salsa with peppers and cheese.

  • Matt S.

I usually go for the burrito bowl instead of a burrito (seems like you're getting a little more value with the bowl). Guac's great, and the lime salted chips are a nice touch. Biggest advantage for me is the iPhone app - I'll place a prepaid order, walk in, and pick it up.

Don't come here expecting a traditional Latin or Mexican meal. This place is all about convenience, speed, and a good quality meal. Moe's? They're good. Willy's? Eh. El Myr? That's a different animal I can't compare here. If you have a snobbish palate or are expecting you can order Combo #11, you need to head somewhere else. Every meal I've had at this specific Chipotle has been above average. The food is always hot, fresh, and quick. The servers will sometimes smile, but when it comes to this kind of food you mainly just want them to get the food together so you can begin shoveling it down your throat. They have multiple salsas to try on your food. I recommend getting a mix (maybe hot and corn or mild and corn) of salsas to really add something to the food. My only complaint is the hot sauce they provide in the restaurant is kinda blah. I prefer getting my food to go and using my own Chalulah or Frank's when I get home. I'd bring my own hot sauce, but I don't want to look like a weirdo or have people shun me when I walk in.

Very good food but skimpy on the portions compared to other chipotle's I've visited. The servers are also very rude and seem irritable every time I go there. Food is 4 stars but service is 0.

I absolutely LOVE Chipotle. I wish they would open one closer to where I live. This one is the closest and it's about 30 minutes away. :( Sometimes I get a burrito with chicken or steak and almost everything they offer in it. Rice, tomatoes, sour cream, corn, medium salsa, black beans, pinto beans, cheese, and guacamole. And sometimes I get all those ingredients in a bowl and eat it with chips. Love it!

So after visiting Chipotle a 2nd time, I can now honestly say, I don't know what all the hype is about. I arrived at about 7:15, the line was almost out the door...ok they are good but not that good, folks. The parking lot at the Ponce location sucks. Really bad. There's only one way in, yet people still insist on driving in the wrong way in from Ponce PLACE (instead of Avenue), and driving out through the Ponce Avenue entrance, even though it clearly says not to do so via a big red "wrong way" sign. Shaking my head. There are only about 15 or so parking spots, which clearly don't accommodate the crowds that show up there between 5-8 pm. The food is alright. I mean, it's good, but not good enough to have a line outside the door, especially when there's a Moe's RIGHT DOWN the street w/ similar food, a bigger location and its way more parking friendly. Chipotle charges for chips and salsa, which irritates the heck outta me, especially when I can go to almost ANY other Mexican food place in Atlanta and get free (and sometimes unlimited) chips and salsa. There's no salsa bar either, another (-) in my book. I ordered a chicken burrito which was so huge, I would've loved to drown it all in as much salsa as I wanted to. It was lacking a little flavor, but I ate it anyways. Without enough salsa however, it just felt like it was missing something. All in all, Chipotle is okay. But I'll stick to Moe's and Willy's. Especially when there's a line going out of the front door.

I like Chipotle, no matter what anyone else says! I know the burrito rave is done and over with, but out of all of them I'd have to say this one's my fav! I love their fresh ingredients and their corn salsa is yummy! The only con to Chipotle unlike both Moe's and Willy's is that they don't have tofu :(. And let me tell you, Willy's knows how to do their tofu! I choose Chipotle out of convenience because it's around the corner, how nice the staff is, and how quick and easy it is.

If I had to choose one of the many burrito chain joints over the others, I'd go with Chipotle. I'd prefer a mom and pop establishment with lots of construction crews and frightening looking cooks...but if forced to choose a chain I'd take Chipotle for a few reasons. 1) Free sour cream. Most places charge extra for it, I like it, and I'm a cheap bastard. 2) Rice. It's white rice with seasoning you can taste and fresh herbs mixed in, that you can actually watch the cooks preparing in the kitchen behind the line. 3) Barbacoa. Spicy beef that's a nice option in comparison to the regular overly grilled micro hunks of steak you get at other places. 4) Variety of salsas. The corn salsa is sweet and spicy. 5) Most importantly, no one has ever shouted "Welcome to Chipotle!" at me when I walk in the door. That in and of itself is more important to me than items 1 through 4.

Definitely my winner in the "toss meat beans rice and salsa into a steamed tortilla and put it in a basket with some nachos (please don't throw away the baskets)" chain Burrito Battle Royale. Mostly because of the corn salsa and the guacamole. Delicious. Queso burrito makes a fine competitor but you can't beat the clean, fast and simple menu here at Chipotle. Nicely seasoned spicy chicken. My go-to whenever we've got time to skip the lesser chains.

Ive eaten at other Chipotles and thought they were all the same. They sort of are, except this place gives smaller portions. Ive been eating at the Cumberland one a lot and the Druid Hills some. This was the first time here. When she tossed the steak on the tortilla it was VERY noticeable..MUCH LESS meat than other Chipotles. Prices is the same. Ingredients the same, but SMALL portions and same price. Could have just been the girl today, but once they give you something like that I wont be going back to this location. I will continue with the other locations though that give decent portions. Parking is tight. Homeless man outside asking for money. I said I dont give out money. Then he asked for a Chicken burrito and I said sure and got him one in a sack to go.

My oh-so-dependable Chipotle. This is the only location I can count on for consistency. They don't skimp on your food like other locations (cough cough HOWELL MILL). They always have the food ready to go for refilling. Of course, it does have it's downfalls. Parking is terrible and the lines are long, but isn't that a GOOD sign that you're at a GOOD Chipotle?

Chipotle is the first of their kind to do clean food as they do. When is comes to their free range animals, local ingredients, and vegan options Chipotle has no competition. I often hear people criticizing Chipotle for being a 'chain' establishment when rather they should be applauded for their organic standards which should be held as a role model to other businesses. Never lack of flavor in any of their ingredients, raw industrial motif, and completely fair prices is what keeps my respects for Chipotle steep and is what has me constantly returning. As for the customer service its an easy 3 stars. I have been to multiple Chipotle's throughout the U.S including Texas, Kentucky, Florida, and now Georgia and the employes have either been decent or completely horrible. Very disappointing for, in my opinion, their almost flawless establishment. Very glad to see that they have always acquired their liquor license, its always great to grab a beer or margarita with Mexican food. My only recommendation would be more appealing margarita cups and a larger selection of beers. I hope Chipotle keeps up their unconventional standards in comparison to other businesses and over all continues to crush the Mexican grilled food.

A Chipotle is a Chipotle is a Chipotle. It's the ease of fast food with a farm focus. It's also the only fast food joint I can currently eat while doing the Whole 30. While most of their meat is cooked in soybean oil, I can glutton my day away with their carnitas, and oh how delicious they are. Throw some on top of lettuce with tomato salsa and a heaping scoop of guac and you've got the makings of a great meal. This location is ALWAYS busy and the parking lot is beyond frenetic. Come in a little car to make it easier on yourself. There's almost always a homeless guy willing to help you out if you need it, though. As thankful as I am to have them in my life while I plug through these 30 days of cooking, I do wish they would change some of their billing practices and make it a little more a la carte. I mean, I'm skipping the tortilla, rice, beans, and cheese-- I still have to pay $1.80 for some guacamole!?

Parking is terrible. Service is slow. Otherwise, it's what you'd expect. While I do love love love me some Chipotle, I find I don't go as often as I would like. The location is inconvenient and there is never any parking. I know, this is a symptom of living in town. I get it. But there are plenty of other in-town locations where this type of restaurant would be much more convenient. And I'm not exactly sure why the service is so slow. I mean, I want them to give me a chance to tell them what I want, sure. No one wants to be rushed through the line when you are trying to make a decision, but there is something about the service here that makes it seem like they just don't care. I know there are probably a few people that do, but generally, I get the feeling they just want to go home, but are in now hurry to help either. On one occasion, the cashier rang me up for an order of the person in front of me because their card was declined. But she was on auto-pilot, so just rang my card not seeing that his order was still there. I brought this to her attention and she tried to fix it, however needed a manager (i assume that is who he was) to override the transaction or whatever they did. But he had such a hard time figuring out where the error was made. the girl apologized profusely, but the manager (?) barely looked at me. He was more bothered that the fix had to occur rather than the fact that he was putting me out. I feel like he at the very least could've acknowledged that he was causing me to wait much loner than it should have taken, not to mention all the people waiting behind me. And unfortunately that wasn't the first time there was an issue. I was charged for chips and a drink once after I clearly said I didn't want them. Then, when I brought it to the cashier-at-the-time's attention, he was like "oh well, I can't fix it." Um, really?! That's not ok, man. But, that said, it's the nearest Chipotle to me and my office (that I know of), so I deal with it.

CHIPOTLE!!! I went here today and I realized I never wrote a review which is pure blasphemy. Chipotle is Mexican style cuisine but it's fast food without a drive thru. All you really need to know is that is it awesome. I order three Chicken soft chicken tacos every time and trust me get the guac. I knock off a star because this particular location has limited parking so it can be a hassle. The good news is that most people are in and out. Enjoy! For those who have never been, you walk up the counter and decide if you want a burrito, tacos, or bowl. You can add rice, beans, meat (chicken, steak, beef, or pork), veggies (tomatoes, lettuce, corn,) and sauces (mild, medium, hot). I love the MILD...the hot to me...just doesn't taste right. They prepare everything for you in front of your eyes at the counter and then you're good to go. 7 bucks well spent, every time!

Are all Chipotle locations the same? NO. Don't get me wrong -- I'm a huge fan of Chipotle and always will be. This one just sucked in almost every regard. Service: No thanks. The woman behind the counter couldn't have been less interested. She also only gave us a sneeze of each item or salsa. Ok, and if you're paying extra $1.80 for guac, then GIVE ME SOME GUAC. Don't put half a tablespoon on my burrito bowl and call it even. Dude. I had to ask her for more and she looked at me like I had six heads. Well, excuuuuuse me. Food: Meh. It was over-salted and pretty flat as Chipotle goes. I'm not sure what they're doing back there, but I'm pretty sure they didn't follow the recipes as they should. Aaaaaand I'll find another location to frequent, thanks.

I love chipotle, but I hate the parking and the lines!! I have been at all times of the day, and it's always the same song and dance. I can count on one hand how many times I have gone and it wasn't packed. I live down the street from this location, so I come here frequently. I had been coming more often since my partner and I received 4 coupons collectively from the Taste of Atlanta for two free burritos per coupon - SCORE! The service is usually pretty friendly, sometimes they skimp on how much they give you in the burrito bowls, which is all that I order. My container was noticeably later on my last visit, but I hate asking for more. I was not happy though, as I saw many people before me get bowls filled to capacity. Oh they now FINALLY have tofu, or what they call sofritas I think. It's like minced tofu with peppers and spices. I don't mind the minced stuff, but I'd prefer them in chunky blocks. I'm just happy that I finally have the option of tofu, as Moe's has had tofu for quite some time, but I HATE Moe's!!! IDK what more I can say about this location that isn't already common knowledge about Chipotle. Enjoy!

I enjoy Chipoltle and really enjoy their rice. This particular location is crowded and stays busy. While in line, I was skipped while in line, I'm not sure what that was all about, maybe just too many people in the assembly line. I wanted to sit inside, I had to clean off my own table to sit down and on the way out, there was a homeless man begging for change right by the door, just sitting there. The food was good, service was ok and the homeless man was able to enjoy half of my burrito as well.

The parking lot alone merits a negative star. The burritos are ok, though there is a curiously small number of additional toppings. Olives? Nope. Cucumbers? Nope. Fresh jalapenos? Nope. Fresh onions? Nope. Weird. The salads are ridiculously small. I mean, super tiny. My biggest pet peeve though is charging for chips and salsa. $1.75 for chips and salsa is a serious rip off. Willy's, which is just down the street, has ample parking, tons of toppings, huge portions and FREE CHIPS AND SALSA! Also, you can get as much salsa as you want. And one last thing. Willy's is an Atlanta company. This is the last time for Chipotle for me - from now on I am going local Atlanta and switching to Willy's!

Chipotle is some of the best and almost healthy fast food out there. Usually I get the veggie burrito bowl, but I got steak today and well, I wasn't surprised, but that's the point. If you've been there once, they seem to nail it at each location. Their corn salsa is still slightly sweet. Chips still have that nice lime flavor and it just tastes clean. Their assembly line was pretty serious here, with 5 people deep putting on my desired toppings. Never eaten inside but it looks spacious. Parking? Yea it's limited but I felt so awesome grabbing the last non-handicap spot. Made the meal much more sweet to me!

This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. They are very stingy with their ingredients. I've eaten at many Chipotles over the past 10 or so years and none of them have been stingy. At this location I've been told things I've never heard of like I can't have extra rice and that it's $1.40 for extra cheese when they only gave me a few shreds to begin with. Every time I ask for double meat they just put a few more cubes on. I ask for DOUBLE for a reason, not just to get a little bit more and then get charged for double. I've contacted Chipotle about these issues and they wrote back and basically told me that this is a special location because some customers try to take advantage of extra items in their burritos so they have to be stingy with all customers. This is a terrible business tactic. Chipotle has a few bad customers so they treat their loyal customers who have been coming in for years like they are trying to take advantage of them. Also, they can't handle high volume. They don't seem to care that the line is long or try to work faster or add an additional worker to the line to speed up the process. It takes much longer than other Chipotles. I've tried ordering on the app to avoid the long wait times but they are even more stingy with the ingredients when you're not there while they're making it and have done things like not given me extra chicken even though I requested it and paid for it. Also, I have ordered it a couple hours in advance but indicated my pickup time. Even though I arrived a little early my burrito was cold. Room temperature. When I complained to Chipotle a second time they did give me a coupon for a free item, but that's not what I want. I want them to treat me like I've always been treated at every other Chipotle. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I still eat here. All the time. It makes me angry every time I walk in and know what I'm going to have to deal with, but I'm addicted to the food. This location is so close to my apartment so I go here instead of driving an additional 20 minutes round trip to go to the one by Emory (which is a much better Chipotle). I also have to say that there are a few great employees who always recognize me and make me feel like a welcomed, valued customer. However, there is such high turnover at this restaurant that 90% of the time I'm treated like a customer who is trying to cheat the company.

Horrible service! Chipotle has good food in general, but this place's service is horrible. The amount of food they give you is barely anything especially the meat. The people behind the counters lacks manners and it sounds like they want to start a fight with me. They also throws around food around until it spills and put it back in my bowl! That's fantastic! I definitely want to eat food from dirty counter! The management really do need to fix how they serve the customers. The food is what you always expect from Chipotle, though.

I love Chipotle. Whenever I am hungry, don't have anyone to eat with, but don't feel like cooking at home, Chipotle is the ideal solution. Back in my college days, I would eat a whole burrito, but now my go-to order is the burrito bowl. I ask for a tortilla on the side, the white cilantro rice with black beans (and I ask for more rice in exchange for fewer beans), chicken, corn salsa, a little bit of cheese and sour cream, and lettuce on top. The portions are generous and I always have enough leftover for a second meal. The lettuce is nice and crisp, and the ingredients taste fresh. I really love the rice, and compared to Freebirds' rice, Chipotle wins hands down (I actually don't know if there are any Freebirds in Georgia, but in case any of you readers are from Texas, I included the comparison). Over the years the price has gotten up a little, but it's still really affordable, $6.25. I never get tired of their burrito bowls. The bad thing about this location is that parking is really terrible. I don't come here during lunch time. I come during the off hours, like when I'm post call and have napped for a few hours and then wake up around 3 pm, hungry.

It's a Chipotle, so you go into the place kind of knowing what you're going there for: decent Mexican-style fast-casual that will fill you up but not make you feel like you drank a bucket of grease. Just watch out for Montezuma's revenge! He's an angry bastard sometimes. This particular location is decent enough, although you sometimes get hit up for change by hobos outside the front door. The real issue is parking. As in, there really aren't a lot of spaces. They even have Chipotle-produced official signs in the lot stating as much. But if you're jonesing for a burrito, you can always park across the street in the lot next to the Murder Kroger. Go there, be filled with burrito-stuffings, then depart full of stomach.

I love this place. My favorite burrito at any Mexican restaurant. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is flavorful.

This was my first Chipotle experience. I went in not knowing what to expect or what the menu would be like. Honestly, I was a little disappointed by the menu selection. It's all pretty much the same item just slightly modified. I tried the burrito bowl, which was decent enough, though the flavor didn't really stand out. I felt it was a little bland. And, I asked if they had cheese salsa to go with their chips instead of their guac, and they didn't! How is that not even an option when you sell what amounts to nachos as your main side?! I just thought that was kind of odd. In summary, the food wasn't awful, but didn't live up to expectations.

Delicious. If you want one of the "fast food" Mexican joints stick with Chipotle... forget Moe's and forget Willy's. The ingredients are of such a higher quality at Chipotle it's not even funny. Stay loyal to good food and choose your burritos, tacos, and quesadillas wisely.

Typically, I don't bother writing about major chains like Chipotle, but this one's an exception. There's no point in writing about the quality of the food, etc, because you know what you're getting when you walk into a McChipotle - fresh, decent quality Tex-Mex style, and I happen to love burritos, so they're great when you have the craving. But I really wanted to drive home the simple fact that as many others have pointed out, the parking situation at this particular Chipotle is about the worst parking situations in the entire city. Long story short, there are maybe 20 parking spaces tops, and it's small. It has a one-way entrance off of Howell Mill westbound, otherwise, it's accessible off of Ponce de Leon Place. None of that really matters because at any given time of the day, it's going to be packed full, you're going to get flustered in your car, the chance of a fender bender is high since people illegally park in front of the dumpster and the retaining wall, making a small lot smaller, and there's a good chance you simply get mad and leave, or settle for parking in the beat up lot across the street and hoof it across a busy street. And even when you get there, the time it took you to park your car, the line has gotten extended to the door, and sometimes out it. I hate to sound so trite about parking, but on repeated visits, it's often the same miserable, discouraging result. How Chipotle seems to have the favor of burrito lovers is a mystery to me, when there are more Willy's, which are typically easier parking situations and IMO better quality food. But one of my friends likes Chipotle more, so occasionally I have to put myself through parking hell for their benefit.

Parking is awful so is the customer service. The food is bland it's not worth the price they charge for the amount (scarce) of food they give. It's worth the drive to visit a different location. I have visited this location numerous times before and for the last 4 months it has been bad services. High turn over on staff.

I have a love-hate relationship with this particular Chipotle. On one hand, the location is really good because it provides pretty cool views of Ponce de Leon Ave., but on the other, the parking here can be pretty bad sometimes. As for the food, this is one of the few Chipotles that has consistently messed up rolling my burritos. It's probably just an aberration, but it's irritating nonetheless. The food does taste good though, and honestly, I come here strictly because I love the location. There are better Chipotles in the ATL area, but this one is all right.

Typically I would rate this location 3-4 stars but each visit recently has gotten a little worse. Today there was a line out the door. That should have been the que to go somewhere else. The serving line was barely moving. Once we got to order our food we saw why. Teenagers working the line with no supervision and a don't care attitude. This place has a ton of business and the food is usually decent but every time I go the service gets worse, portion sizes get smaller, and the music playing in the dining area gets louder. I still prefer the location off Piedmont in Buckhead.

Chipotle, chipotle, how I love thee If I were blind, you'd make me see In your restaurant, I can just be me From your place, I'd never flee Your tacos so soft and your chicken so good In your line for an hour I stood It didn't matter, because your food is so good If you haven't tried it, you definitely should The bowls are also quite the treat The burritos? Nothing less than elite The food's so delicious I had to make a tweet I got all my friends to try - no easy feat! Bottom line is, even if you are far It's worth the drive, its better than a bar I love chiptole from near or afar I wishI could save it all for later in a jar

I LOVE chipotle and would normally give it five stars. This location gets three because the lines are ALWAYS so terribly long. And it is nearly impossible to find parking. Often times I plan on taking a 15 minute run to get chipotle and do not get back for 45 minutes because it i just that bad. You think I would learn my lesson but I always think maybe going at a different time will help. IT NEVER DOES. Just be prepared to wait a long time at this location. The food is still just as good!

    (3)
  • Jennifer J.

Yep, Chipotle is A-OK with me. Why not four stars? Because calling myself a fan is not accurate. Yes, I like it and yes, I think it's much better than Willy's but it isn't on my 'Hey! Let's go here!" list. The food is fresh and the service is good. They do a lot of business and usually when I go the line is out the door. Please be patient because it moves pretty quickly so don't get in a huff when you actually have to wait a few minutes. The chicken burrito in a bowl is usually my choice and a side of guac which is actually very good. I hate going to places and their guac sucks, and believe me it has happened all too often. Their chips are light and crispy too which is how I like them. Have you ever had the heavy chips at some places? They just taste like grease. Not these. Parking is kind of a pain so just park down the block on one of the side streets. It's much easier.

Want a plain Chipotle review, look for mine here: yelp.com/biz/chipotle-me… Now, I'm going to tell you why this location for a normally 5 star restaurant only gets 4 stars 1) Its in Fulton county, which for some reason charges an additional tax that raises my burrito price ~$0.05. I know, it's total bullshit. 2) You need to ask for a key to access the bathroom. This is tactic thats normally done to keep homeless people from living in there. It works - but it doesn't keep those same homeless people from harrasing you for change in the parking lot as you're going from your car to the restaurant. I just came for a burrito, not to do charity work. 3) Parking is bad. If its really crowded, you may need to park in the lot across the street and walk over. This can lead to additional problems (see #2) On the plus side, this location right by a big liquor store, so its got that going for it. Also, same quality food you can expect from the fine people of Chipotle.

Woohoo! a local chipotle that's walking distance? Surprising I haven't blown up like a whale for all the times I have eaten here. This chipotle functions pretty standard as other ones, as soon as you walk in, you immediately get right in line. The menu is pretty standard and like all other chipotles, your burrito is always gargantuan by the time they have to wrap it up. This one is pretty clean, with the tabasco selection usually very plentiful and fully stocked. They must have a great loss prevention system... or backup bottles ready to be restocked. Only downside is that the parking lot here is TERRIBLE. It is very tiny and people try to make what seems like a one way route into a two way street. Try to find parking in the adjacent plaza or try going for the side streets.

I love chipotle, but this location seriously makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon. The parking is awful as noted in every other review. I'm not sure if they are putting meth in the burritos at this location cause it's always 10x more crowded than the average Chipotle. Going in here gives me a panic attack, that is if I can ever find a place to park. From now I'm only going to the N Druid Hills one.

  • Dru M.

For a very popular location...the line always moves pretty quickly. Note that the parking lot isn't that large...so you might not have luck finding a spot during peak times. Standard Chiptole menu/prices, clean restaurant/restroom and friendly service. Here's basically how it goes - stand in line, order meal (taco, burrito, salad or burrito bowl - veggie, steak or chicken), pick your toppings (choice of pinto or black beans, lettuce, cheese, several salsas, peppers/onions, guacamole and sour cream) then pay. It's that simple. Overall...in the mood for an affordable tex mex? Here's a place for you.

Chipotle rocks, mostly because its basically Moe's for the same price, but better! The food here is pretty healthy, as far as restaurants of this pass and order style are. The meat is usually pretty warm and juicy, and I love the option to put a burrito in a bowl for the same price (because they usually give you more that way!). Tortilla chips are actually pretty cheap, and you can't complain about them not being free since this isn't a sit down place anyways. They make everything as you go along so it's real fast though, which is nice and you get to see it all being made. And the little outdoor patio is cool for when the weather is nice as it has been lately. I do wish they gave more salsa, but that's my only real qualm. Chipotle is relatively close, they have cilantro and REAL salsa, and it tastes great.

This is it! This is the BEST fast food out there. I'm thinking about opening one of these in my hood. Really. I've tried em all. Other fast food is gross compared to this. This is REAL food. I recommend the Barbacoa bowl with plain brown rice. Extra meat. Soooooo good.

I loves me some Chipotle, but this review is more about this individual restaurant than the chain overall. First off, this place is ALWAYS a zoo. The parking is a freaking nightmare, as everyone has pointed out. I do not think I should have to spend more time scouting for parking than it takes for them to make me a freaking burrito. It didn't used to be as bad for me I guess when I was working as a teacher in the area and I could grab dinner here before people got off at rush hour. However, the last time I made the mistake of coming here with my boyfriend at 5:30. WHAT WAS I THINKING?! Clearly I had gone temporarily insane. The tables are always filthy, also. I mean, it's a fast food place, but McDonald's owns Chipotle and their restaurants are cleaner than this one. C'mon. The last time I was here though, made me decide I don't want to come back to this location anymore. I have had so many burrito rollers break my burrito and not do anything about it. And it's not like I'm one of those people who asks for one of everything in their burrito! It irks me to no end. To top it off, both my boyfriend and I got vegetarian burritos, and I saw chicken get spilled on his. Thankfully, he's not vegetarian, because if that had happened to me, I would have been PISSED. And then I saw another person sloppily mix in cheese into the guacamole. Should be a nice surprise should a vegan have the misfortune of getting some guac. Then, we got sweet tea, and it was .... well, it wasn't sweet. It tasted like regular, unsweet tea. It was certainly labeled sweet tea. It's a shame, because their sweet tea used to be awesome. And to finish things off, after eating, we wanted to wash our hands and found that they now make you go ask for keys to get into the bathroom. I'm sorry, but I really don't think I should have to ask anyone permission to pee. That is just annoying beyond belief. Not to mention, as my boyfriend pointed out, that it's probably incredibly unsanitary.

The Chipotle on Ponce is so much worse than any of the Chipotle's I have been too.....seems maybe they have a manager issue....Lets clean this place up and get better attitudes towards your guests!

This is definitely the worst chipotle location in Atlanta. Even worse than the buckhead location. The food is always undercooked and my fajitas are always very crunchy. I go to this location a lot because I live & work in south atlanta and it's the closest location, but it's usually a horrible, unsatisfying experience. The Sandy Springs location on Roswell road is the best chipotle in the atlanta area.

    (1)
  • Troy D.

I would rate this MUCH higher, but the parking is AWFUL!!!!! I can never find a spot. The parking lot is tiny and poorly designed. The food is good, but 70% of the time I take a lap through the lot and just keep on driving on to another spot.

  • Paul S.

I am a Chipotle fan.... When it comes to the war on Burritos Chipotle's stolen my heart and taste buds. It's the rice, corn salsa and the freshness that separates them from the others. Love the Chicken Fajitas Burrito... HATE the parking. One of the worst parking lots in Atlanta.

  • Tilia M.

This location is literally always super busy, not to mention it has really crappy parking. Its terrible. BUT they make up for the matchbox-sized and crowd with quick preparation and friendly service. Not to mention this place is located right off Ponce, so, its convenient.

  • Aisha M.

It's Moe's, except a little more pricey and hipster-friendly in its exclusivity. I'm a Tex-Mex fan, and I have yet to get better Tex-Mex anywhere else but the American Southwest, and I knew Chipotle was just a sleeker, more cosmopolitan version of Moe's. That said, I went there knowing what I wanted to order. First off, I don't understand Atlanta's fixation with limited parking. NYC doesn't have a choice, being mostly located on an island, so it can only grow up, not out. Atlanta has no such excuse. Chipotle's parking lot is always full, and of course it's located right on the corner so you have to quickly park across the street, or further down the street. Once you've found parking and made the trek back, you have to wait in line. Now, the line when I went was out the door, but it moved a lot faster than I expected, and by the time I got to order, I got a simple customized burrito for the road. I won't lie and say Chipotle is BAD, per se, but I have experienced better at Moe's and for less than $6. It just didn't live up to all the hype that surrounds it. It's the McDonald'sof Tex-Mex, basically. Still, if you need a quick-fix, you can either go there, or to the Moe's a little further down the street.

  • Drew D.

As a Tech student, I felt trapped with Moe's being in Tech Square, but then I discovered Chipotle was not too far away. Best Mexican fast food I have had. In fact, I am pretty sure Chipotle is the reason the Qdoba down the street closed down. I love their burrito bowls. Always filling at a good price. But be warned, the parking lot does suck. It is tiny and people always park illegally trying to squeeze in. I always seem to get accosted by someone asking for money on my way in, too.

  • C J.

What should I say? It's a Chipotle. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. This one is just more crowded, and their parking lot is super small. But I'm a fan of the product and this one is nearest my crib. I always order a veggie burrito all the way (and yes, I need a bib). One thing that is kinda cool (that I usually forget about) is the iPhone app for ordering that let's you more quickly get in and out. It's a burrito place. Delicious? Yes, but I'm not going rave, even though of all the burrito chains, Chipotle is my fave.

I have since been back and I have not seen the aggressive manager guy. The food seems to be back on track as well. I just cant stay away from Chipotle.

What can I say, I'm much more of a Willy's girl. Chipotle has decent chips, salsa, and beans.....but the chicken is too chewy! The tables on the patio aren't comfty. At least the food is prepared quickly. And I suppose the Corona is nice and cold...three stars for that.

    (3)
  • T. Murray -.

I like Willy's better than Chipolte. I feel like Chipolte tries to look like more than it is. I remember when they built this location I thought that it might actually be a true restaurant at first because of the architecture of the building. I feel like if it's going to primarily be take out Mexican food, then build something that looks like that. The parking lot is a little awkward to me. I almost got hit trying to pull in here once.

  • Coley W.

Former Creative Loafing food reviewer Bill Addison gave Chipotle a favorable review and he never heard the end of it. The idea of a critic for an alternative mag suggesting that a fast food place was "good' was too much for people to handle. But I've got Bill's back. If I have to get fast food, there are only two places I'll consider: Chipotle and Chick Fil'A. And if I had to choose between the two of them, it would probably be Chipotle. Their soft black bean tacos with salsa verde are tasty and relatively healthy. What other fast food chain offers that combo?

    (3)
  • J. B.

Oh Chipotle, Chipotle...you have my heart. I mean, I know that you are owned by McDonald's, but for now...I ignore it. The burritos are HUGE, the burrito bowls are delish, and I love the tacos with a dash of the Tabasco Chipotle sauce too. You can't beat the guac and chips. You know they don't have quesadillas on the menu, but choose your ingredients and order one up...they will make it for you. My fave concoction for a quesadilla is the spicy beef with cheese and black beans. Mmmm Mmmm good. I love how Chipotle always looks super clean in the kitchen. I guess they have to be clean since the kitchen is open, but its hard to keep stainless steel clean! We are so glad they are in the ATL now! I think I just talked myself into having Chipotle for lunch!

I have nothing but good experiences in this place. (I do not agree with a review I read about their food being BLAND?) unless that person is a SALT lover... the food's seasoning is well balanced, and I like the fact I can see the food being prepped right there in the line. This is definitively my Hangover Food Place. I am Latina and very picky about any fast food Latin oriented places and I love CHIPOTLE. I always have thhe Steak Bowl. Their food is well seasoned the rice is cooked properly and then all the fixings. I have an obsession with this place and in Christmas, I was "dreaming of a Chipotle Christmas". After a night of drinking, I always wish that 1. I had bought a steak bowl and saved it for the next day, and/or 2. that they open for BREAKFAST. As matter of fact, I am currently salivating at the idea of heading there RIGHT NOW and then hitting The Albert for a Bloody Mary. The $3 buck Margaritas are refreshingly shitty but you will also get shitty on the cheap. They are pre-mixed and by the feels of it, the mix is 70% tequila (probably Pepe Lopez) . I recommend the steak salad. I do not do poultry, but I hear theirs is good! They get 7 stars from me. Mostly, because is cheap good food place that serves alcohol and has a patio.

The best - i recommend the chicken bowl with rice & blackbeans. I love cilantro so the medium sauce and the corn is an excellent addition. Food is great, atmosphere is laid back and easy. Best burrito for the price.

I am a fan, not obsessed. Of course its American Mexican just like Qdoba but better. Its good for college kids like me who are cheap (altho 3 soft tacos still cost $7). The people are nice and its clean. I think I'm addicted to their corn and hot salsa.

Upscale Taco Bell Chipolte....with a name like that you would think they knew what they were doing. My first visit , I got the chicken burrito which began with a huge scoop of WHITE rice and a small rationing of the remaining fillings. I should have stopped them at the rice. My thoughts.... never again! Then I went to get a burrito for someone else and saw that corn was a filling option, so I gave it a second chance. Lesson learned.....never deviate from my first mind . Got a burrito bowl with no tortilla. No tortilla? Had to pay for chips (what?) . You get of choice of sour cream OR cheese (what ?), I need BOTH sans the extra charge. Moe's is even better although their meat is dry and chips are stale. Willy's is REAL MEXICAN FOOD, with chips and tortilla included in the price of the burrito AND a salsa bar . My advice , save your money or go to Taco bell if you want a comparable experience.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
