This place is sketch as BLEEP. I honestly feel bad for the people who run this place, but one's got to wonder why don't they do something to improve this place. The place is cramped and everything seemed worn to the threads. They need to take more pride in their restaurant, FO SURE. We came here one night craving for Chinese take-out. It was available and we were feeling ballsy. Coming from the suburbs in Florida, I never had to pay +$8.50 for a dinner combo at a Chinese fast food joint, but whatever. Well, they gave us a lot of food. The combo included soup with crunchy noodles, egg roll, fried rice, and the main dish. Verdict? The food was standard Chinese fast food. I got what I wanted and I got a good portion of it. The food didn't look sketch at all, ie, I wasn't afraid to eat it. Plus, heat kills germs, right? RIGHT?! However, the place definitely leaves a very bad impression in terms of cleanliness, house-keeping, etc...

Ignore all the uppity reviewers here. This has been my go to place for 5 years+ 1-4 times per week. The food never disappoints. No it's not a 5 course meal with paired wines and extravagant desert experience, but they never claim to be. The lady running the place has attitude, get over it. General Tsos, Beef Lo Mein, Beef Chow Fun, Crab Rangoon, any of their buffet dishes is off the charts yummy. No one in the ATL area is as consistently good. The drivers barely speak English, always come late, again get over it. Set your expectations adequately and pick up your own food. I never go anywhere else in town. Try this place.

I GOT FOOD POISONING! I ate at this place a few times because prices are good for this area. If you look up their health inspection reports at ga.healthinspections.us/… you will see that they stagger in their health ratings a lot. They received a 79 in March, 2015 for violations like keeping raw food near prepared food and blocking access to the employee hand-washing sink. They were also cited for employees reusing utensils to taste-test the food (they would taste, then use same utensil to taste again). I ate chicken from here on May 17 and came down with a campylobacter infection which you can get from raw/undercooked poultry. If you don't want to avoid this place entirely, at least check out their recent health inspection before eating here.

Gah! I totally forgot that I ordered from here before in 2011 and messed up again three years later. Different horrible driver but still same horrible food. Clearly I have to check Yelp every time I order from some place.

The delivery woman was the rudest person I have ever encountered. The food was hot and that's about all I can say about it. I will never order food here again because of the complete lack of service.

This is my favorite delivery restaurant, they are fast and the food is awesome, very tasty.

This is probably an unusual review. It is based on one item. The seafood soup. Not only is it filled with seafood and very good taste wise, it doesn't leave a dent in my pocket. The staff here is also very nice and helpful.

Please go out of business. The food here is horrible. No season. Everything is just bland. You call these a Resturant? Omg if so Chef Ramsey needs to revamp this.

This is my go to local Chinese restaurant. The general tso's, crab rangoon and the steamed dumplings are off the charts good. The ladies who help you with the food are very nice. Hard to spot but a ton of food for a good price so its worth it.

After ordering in from this restaurant for 6 years straight at almost once a week, we had nothing but good things to say. However today after we received a beef dish where the meat had gone bad I called to let them know and the response we got was down right insulting!! The lady on the phone so rudely informed me that she cannot understand what I am saying so I explained how the meat in our dish had gone bad and we would need a replacement. When the delivery man arrived he acted like we were shorting them or making things up. He wanted us to give him back the beef dish (thank god I didn't throw it away). He wouldn't even hand the replacement dish over to my husband until he gave him the other dish back! After 6 years of giving them our patronage they think we would make an issue over a $8.50 dish..this is enough to make me sure I will never order from them again as they obviously do not care about customer loyalty.

If you love mystery meat and subpar everything, go here! I love all kinds of asian food, but this is worse than 'mall chinese' food. The sauces are overly sweet, the fried dishes are soggy, and every bit of meat I've had has been a ball of gristle and cartilage. YUCK.

Cheap, hot... Set your expectations. It's a Chinese buffet and a pretty decent one. Meats on sticks, fried pockets of crab mayo, orange chicken, less orange chicken, bright orange chicken. No complaints here. Update: I had to leave work early to seek refuge in my home bathroom. Downgrading to 3 stars.

Canton Chopsticks is your typical Chinese takeout joint. It's located in a run-down, littered strip mall right next to a laundromat. The restaurant itself is old and dingy. I came here to get a quick takeout dinner and when I went inside, the restaurant was completely empty. There wasn't even an employee around until they heard the door open, so then they came out from the back. The menu consists of all the typical Chinese fast food items such as egg rolls, fried rice, lo mein (noodles), and egg drop soup. The entrees (e.g. Szechuan beef, Hunan chicken, etc.) range anywhere from $7-9. Portion sizes are fair. I think they get a lot of business from deliveries. They are open late, so if you are looking for a late-night Chinese fix, the food here won't kill you, but I wouldn't recommend it.

This was an unfortunate dining decision. We ordered from Canton Chopsticks for delivery through eat24hours.com . Not being from this area, we'd never seen "fried almond chicken" so we ordered that, and the General Tso's as a baseline measure because we get that all the time at various Asian takeout in Orlando. The fried almond chicken was ridiculous! Fried chicken, with about five whole almonds sitting next to the chicken, and a MUSHROOM gravy. What the hell about that is "fried almond chicken"?? Additionally, the General Tso's was bland, bland, bland. The fried rice tasted like rice tossed in soy sauce - and there was no typical warm toasty, fried taste to it. Hot and Sour soup tasted - like, barbecue? Seriously? We were completely flummoxed by that. I would suggest you steer clear of here - especially if you're sensitive to MSG. I had a SPLITTING headache 20 minutes after eating - something I only get when exposed to MSG.

When I first found the restaurant, I thought it was the best from a delivery stand point. The customer service was outstanding. I actually called back and gave compliments along with my thanks to the chef. My problem with the company is when you call and give them credit card info.. you ask for a price. When they arrive at your home, The price is more. Scam!!!!! They have already charged your card!! The guy who brings the food does not speak English and when you call, the owner yells at you!! Stay away...Stay far AWAY!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!

I've eaten at this place several times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Yes, it's a sorry interior, but the food was perfectly fine. Most recently, we had Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, cashew chicken, pu pu platter, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. Everything was served hot and tasted good to very good. Nothing was overly oily. Saturday night business was off and service was fine. 80's music on the sound system and news on the TV made for some unusual ambiance. Maybe I've eaten at too many dives on Buford Highway, but when you separate food from facility, I don't think this place deserves the pounding it has gotten here.

quick question: have any of you yelpers gotten take out from this crazy joint in north philly across the street from temple hospital? you know the place where the raccoons are running around outside with the takeout menus? the food is tasty, but you know you are taking a risk with your health every time you step inside and place your order. are you familiar? well....this place probably doesn't have raccoons, but i get the same vibe from canton chopsticks. canton chopsticks delivers to piedmont, which is how i got sorta hooked....one of these days i'm going to learn that it isn't always a great idea to eat in where you eat out. this place is a cave. a straight up dingy dungeon. the only reason they have more than one star is that the food tastes pretty good. but seriously, you don't want to eat inside. the booths are vinyl with duct tape holding them together, and the dust and grime on the walls makes me want to holla. and not in good way. the bathroom is down a hallway that makes you want to bring your cell phone, and a buddy...just in case someone is camped out in the stall with a bloody butcher knife. friendly tip: don't you dare look in the direction of the kitchen. the buffet against the back wall looks like it was stolen from the china empress restaurant back in 1979, sawed off, and propped up in the corner. service is virtually non existent....i think we had about 7 plates piled up in the corner, and the only reason they got cleared away was because the waitress was cleaning the table next to ours. buffet has about six different dishes, not counting the usual gummy brown fried rice and lo mein with about four pieces of cabbage and two shreds of carrots to 10 lbs of noodles. amazingly enough, the kitchen people are continuously bringing out platters of steaming hot food that actually have distinct flavors and taste pretty good. for a buffet that is about six dollars and includes a can of soda....it's tasty, and a great deal in this pre-great depression economy....hence the abundance of construction workers loading up their plates. i would rather not want to wear gloves when i pick up my glass, and i don't really like feeling like i want to burn my clothes because the place is so filthy, even if my belly is full. so, toodles, canton chopsticks. i can't do it. my college days are over, and i've left philly behind. you sure did taste good though.

OK, so I've eaten here since 2002 and have known some of the staff over time. It's your typical American-Chinese restaurant, however, if you dig deep you'll find something tasty. The dumplings are hand made, not store bought, as are the spring rolls (which are way better than the egg rolls) I've had the owner make several dishes not on the menu: pineapple chicken fried rice, black pepper beef (Cantonese style), and on special occasion braised short ribs if they had them in stock (or the sweet-n-sour chicken with the same sauce instead of that red goo). They've had various chefs over the ages, but none we're as good as the owner. My company has also done party platters from here for work related meals, and my coworkers have enjoyed the food. Yes the interior leaves little to be desired, and I've seen it change at least three times, but it's mainly a lunch buffett and carry-out/delivery restaurant. Sadly the younger waitress, who took good care of the customers is no longer there.

I just moved to Atlanta and was gonna try this one even after reading bad reviews and can't even explain how bad this place is. I asked for rice in small separate container and they charged me 50cents for it (which costs like $13 for 1000 containers at Sams club) I said i don't want chicken soup as i was getting mix vegetables, they charged me 50 cent for that. as far as food goes, they cooked in soy sauce which they mixed it with water, I've never seen that thin soy sauce in my Chinese food. the portion of food, well it's less than half of what i get back home in Florida. for $6 i get vege spring roll, full container of mix veges with about 8 tofu pieces and fried vege rice with mushrooms and broccoli in it and when i'm full, i've little left including half of the rice. i paid $7 here just to get less than half the food made with watery soy sauce and no tofu in it, with god knows what kind of rice (which is also half of what i get back home) and oily spring roll (i had to wash my hands twice to get oil out) and i'm still hungry.

I went here for one reason: I was stranded. It's next door to a Goodyear/Gemini auto repair shop. I was hungry. My first idea was to walk across the street to the Willy's Burrito, But I do like to try new things, so I ventured into this cramped, windowless, dreary chinese lunch-buffet restaurant. It was full of construction workers because its a cheap buffet. I don't think its because the food is particularly good. It's not. I am bestowing two stars because I did finish my plate. But I'd give it one and a half if I could. There was two Asian people in the booth behind me. I was rather surprised. Maybe they were stranded like me.

Really underwhelming fare. The all-you-can-eat buffet is not much of a saving grace as you will find it hard to really want to get a second plate. The parking lot is difficult to navigate and the restaurant feels completely stuffy. I like the hole-in-the-wall appeal but the food is what should shine above the environment and unfortunately that is not the case.

My coworker has been going here very frequently for over a year, and he always raves about how great it is, and he is the son of a successful restauranteur here, so should know better. I refused to go, especially since the take out always looked disgusting, but then he would get things like chicken wings and fries. Fries off a buffet, no thanks. But recently the place had a makeover, he tells me, and he brings the new menu, which looks very professional and high quality indeed. Maybe they are really trying. So I go in today and order egg fu yung which I have a hankering for, which will be made to order instead of off a buffet, and which is pretty easy to make. It was awful. Not only then, but now, inside me 6 hours later, its still awful. What was I thinking? Sorry for the one star because the lady there was so nice, but it was really bad. The good news is my coworkers last day is friday! Praise Jesus!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
