I found this gem on Yelp looking for something different. We had just spent 6 days in Hilton Head and were fairly disappointed overall with the food experience. All that was forgotten by the time we had finished the appetizers. Four of us split the calamari which was in a rich tomato brother that we sopped up with fabulous bread. The meat antipasto platter was filled with wonderful dried meats and delicious cheeses. Salads were crisp and flavorful one had figs, all going well so far. For the main course we had Ciapino, rich broth full of mussels, calamari shrimp and halibut, more than I could eat. The salmon was a big hit as well as the grilled halibut with butternut squash. The scallops on polenta wrapped in bacon were just awesome. We all shared a desert of Panna Cotta which was a dream for the tongue, should have ordered 2. We will return many times as this was by far the best meal any of us had so far this year!

I am sad this place was a disappointment for Sunday brunch. We were a group of women and we ordered a variety of dishes. There was french toast on the table, omelet, polenta (or grits) with eggs, shrimp & grits and my dish was a Caprese (Heirloom Tomato & Mozzarella) salad. I asked if the salad comes with some greens and Daniel offered to give me arugula with the salad, nice gesture. After I tasted the tomatoes, this restaurant lost most of the points. Heirloom tomato? More like Roma tomatoes from Kroger. The arugula and the mozzarella tasted nice, especially with the balsamic reduction however overall the salad was underwhelming. My peach Bellini was also average. Daniel was a great server and on his game with drinks. And the location of this place is fantastic but the food leaves much to be desired.

Stopped by to get their black ink pasta but we hit brunch time by accident. We will be back for dinner. Lunch: We ordered beet salad (your standard beet salad - 3.5 out of 5) and Brussels sprout sandwich with anchovy aioli (if you're a fan of anchovies or have a high tolerance for that level of salt this is the one for you, but if you're salt sensitive like us, this may not float your boat - 3 out of 5). Just looked at the other Yelp pictures and our sandwich was not a panini it was ciabatta. Dinner: (to be con'd)

Campagnolo has become one of my favorite brunch spots. Who would've known that a nice Italian restaurant has great brunch?! The best part of the restaurant is their front patio that overlooks Piedmont. One a sunny, breezy day, there's nothing better than sipping some mimosas or beach bellinis (refills are 1/2 off). I ordered the Campagnolo breakfast, which sounds like a basic 2 eggs any way, polenta (grits), sausage, and toast. But my God... this simple breakfast was infused with crazy awesome Italian flavors and upgraded to a whole new level. Those sausages were sweet and spicy, and added great flavor to the polenta and eggs. The ciabatta toast also had nice flavors and textures as well to complement the rest of the dish. This may have been my favorite breakfast ever. I also tried a bite of my friend's Eggs Benedict which also had great Italian flavors in it - mortadella (sausage), and tomato hollandaise. My other friend ordered the shrimp and polenta (grits), and it had bacon sun-dried tomato pesto!! Both were amazingly fantastic. Parking is a bit difficult in the Piedmont area, but if you're able to snag a spot, I would highly recommend coming to Campagnolo for their weekend brunch and top it off with a nice walk around the park. The missed star goes to service - everything seemed to come slower than we would've liked.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while since it's so close to my place. And finally we tried it. The parking situation could be a lil confusing since Piedmont is a one way street. Valet is in front of the 10th&piedmont bar, just FYI. Food: the salumi was good, pasta and Italian wedding soup was both delicious. Roasted cauliflower tasted a bit strange, not my taste. Service: our waiter was awesome. Very attentive and friendly. Overall, I'd go back if I want Italian and don't wanna go too far.

Bottom line this place is just ok. Went Nov. 16 for dinner with friends. The arugula said was really really good. If I were to go again, I'd probably just get that. For entree I got the capellini with grilled chicken...it's spaghetti. This dish lacked flavor. It's hard to mess up spaghetti and while it was edible i didn't taste like anything. For entrees that come in small and large portions, small is usually enough for most people. Actually I got the small and still had half left over. For dessert my friends and I split chocolate torte, but it wasn't a soft as a torte usually is. To me the dessert was more like a flourless chocolate cake. Either was it tasted good.

I have passed Campagnolo a ton of times riding down Piedmont. I also take my dog to the groomer next door, The Pet Set, and would always see people seemingly enjoying themselves on the patio (with their dogs, nonetheless). Made a mental note, though I'm not sure why it took us so long to check this place out...so glad we did! My hubby and I had a very relaxing, delicious dinner on the patio early Saturday evening. I guess we just beat the rush, because by 8pm the restaurant was packed. If you arrive around 7ish, you can probably find parking and a nice table! The inside of the place is nicely appointed and larger than I thought it would be. Also, the service was excellent, which always improves the overall experience. Please note...the portion sizes are large for both the appetizers and meals. If I had known that, I literally would have ordered less food. Either way, we started with the Mussels (had a slightly sweet broth) and the Calamari (it's sautéed, not fried, and comes in Marinara sauce over grilled bread)--we enjoyed both immensely! Sadly, I was full after that. But, I already had an order in for the Mushroom Risotto (very earthy taste), which you will probably like if you're a mushroom lover...it wasn't my favorite. My husband ordered the Lamb Marsala and we had a side of Brussels Sprouts. Overall, the experience was terrific. Next time, we won't order as much and definitely save room for dessert. Happy Eating!

My girlfriend and I dined here for the first time to take advantage of a Travelzoo deal. We came for dinner on a Monday night and to our surprise, the restaurant is large and roomy with a nice patio overlooking Piedmont. Inside, we were the only diners and a couple of people were seated outside, but there was never a crowd throughout our meal. Valet parking was not available, so we both parked in the lot near the corner of 10th and Piedmont. The Travelzoo deal includes one appetizer, two entrees, and one dessert. We chose the Antipasti Board for our appetizer, which includes a chef's selection of cured meats, gorgonzola, and basil mascarpone. This was incredibly, incredibly delicious as you can tell from my picture. I really loved everything on this plate, from the meats to the cheeses to the mix of sweet and salty. It's one of the better Antipasti boards I've had and I would highly recommend ordering this; it was the highlight of my meal. For my main, I ordered a special: the scallop ravioli which consisted of four ravioli stuffed with scallop in a creamy sauce. It was a bit heavy for my preference, but the taste was delicious and the scallops were appealing. The dish was topped with scallops too as an extra treat. Service was excellent and overall, this is a great hidden gym in the middle of midtown. Great for dinner and some good food!

Ugh, my new favorite Italian place, especially since I live right next to it. This is a really late review and I've been here so many times. For dinner at Campagnolo's, the only thing you should order is the Orecchiette. Seriously, nothing else. I've never had such good pasta and the fennel sausages and the broccoli rabe in the dish are just mind blowing. Whether we're dining there or getting take out at Campagnolo's, we always order the delicious ear-shaped pasta. For brunch, I recommend sitting outside on a nice, sunny day. I always have my fingers crossed for the corner seat that's next to the entrance, since the other tables are kind of smushed together and you might have the misfortune of sitting next to eavesdroppers. The sausage frittata is good because they use the same sausage in the orecchiette. I think I'm obsessed.

Campagnolo has a pretty good rating on Yelp and I just had to try the lasagna that was often mentioned. Let me tell you something; that lasagna is the truth yo! For real, it's best that I've had. Made with bolognese sauce and bechamel cheese, it was quite remarkable. I enjoyed it immensely. I must say, though, that I don't particularly care for how the calamari is prepared. It's in a tomato based sauced and served on top of bread, which gets soggy pretty quickly. It's not breaded nor fried. Our server did a great job attending to our party of eight. Glasses were refilled properly and we were checked on at the appropriate intervals. I really liked the space and atmosphere of the place. Whatever Pandora or Spotify station they had it on was a good one. I savored that lasagna while grooving a bit to some Maxwell, Erykah Badu, and some D'Angelo. Smooth. They have complimentary valet parking and while the restaurant is on Piedmont, you enter off of 10th. Because you have to leave the same way you come in and this is the same valet parking area for several other restaurants (like Zocola), it was a tight pickle with cars coming and going in a cramped space. Overall, I found this place to be a good one. I know for sure that I'll be back for that lasagna.

Had a great brunch experience at Campagnolo! The dishes are varied and delicious and refills on drinks are only $3. BLOODY MARY - prepared deliciously and served very nicely. I still give Canoe the award for best Bloody Marys in Atlanta, but this was spectacular - RELAXING patio with lots of seating! Being the first warm day of spring in Atlanta, it was absolutely spectacular to have Sunday brunch outside. - DOG FRIENDLY atmosphere. Lots of people with dogs and I noticed that waiters brought them little bowls of water. - CAMPAGNOLO BURGER was excellent, the bun was especially soft and delicious. Served with a side of extra greasy onion rings, perfect remedy for a hangover. Probably the greasiest onion rings I've had outside of the Varsity.

Campagnolo is very enjoyable. Their ingredients seemed extremely fresh(which is always important for an Italian restaurant) and interesting. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was excellent too. I ordered the capellini with meatballs. It was very good except one minor complaint in that some of the pasta was bit hard. I definitely would like to come back as the squid ink spaghetti looks incredible as did the lasagna.

I went here for brunch with a friend and ate outside, perfect people watching view. She ordered the sausage frittata, and I ordered the French toast with a side of bacon. My French toast was pretty and very taste. Tried a bite of my friends sausage frittata with a balsamic reduction. I've been dreaming about that dish ever since! I'm going to attempt to make it at home. I think I don't care for bloody Mary's so I won't count that against them, but the peach Bellini was good. Perfect brunch spot!

I'm a huge fan of Italian food. I came here expecting authentic and unique Italian food. I got what I wanted. Campagnolo is a very clean and modern for an Italian restaurant. The service was wonderful! EJ took awesome care of us. The patio was popular when the weather is nice. There is a bar and seating from 2 to how ever many people they can fit in the small restaurant. The restroom is unisex. For starters, we had the calamari di Sicily. The calamari is not the typical fried squids you see at other Italian restaurants. It's sautéed with pine nuts, golden raisins, white wine, tomatoes and scallions. It's heaven and a real treat for your taste buds. The arugula and roasted beet salads were fresh and delicious as expected. However what I didn't expect was pickled egg slices in the roasted beet salad. It adds a nice je ne sais quoi to the flavor. It was surprising and refreshing for a salad topping. For dinner, I had the spaghetti. It's not the ordinary spaghetti your mom fed you when you were six. This spaghetti was made of squid ink pasta and served with prawns and thickly shaved parmesan cheese. This was my first time trying squid ink pasta and I was very excited and impressed with it. I think I'm going to start eating only squid ink pasta from now on...OK maybe not. It was very good. What I expected when I saw prawns on the menu was a mini lobster with the head and tail still on but cut down the middle for easy access. I thought that would be a beautiful presentation but what do I know? What I got was a peeled shrimp with the tail ends which may be easier for people to devour. My friends had the gnocchi, Cornish hen and capellini. All of them loved it. I had a bite of the Cornish hen and it was like rotisserie chicken on top of potato soup. That was very good. The only thing I did not like was the bread they served before dinner. It was dry but I'm not there for the bread. For dessert, we had the Banana Walnut Semifreddo which has warm beignet and salted caramel. This was Campagnolo's signature dessert and it was fantastic. I think I will enjoy coming here again and again. The food is great, service is great and they offer the uniqueness I'm always hungry for. Good job, Campagnolo.

Only been here for brunch. Went here twice for brunch. The French toast is to die for! The other brunch dishes are also great. They have both in- and out-door seating. In the summer the outdoor seating is convenient. The food is good and the service is great. The drinks for brunch are half-off for refills. Great location close to piedmont park, and all the other great things in midtown. We will have to come back to try them for dinner.

Everything was delicious, from the beet salad with its extra creamy, fresh cheese to the Brussels sprouts and steak. I'm a gnocchi fanatic and loved the creamy sauce and the tender clouds of gnocchi. The people, I think, were the best part. Our waitress was so kind and attentive, and the manager came by a few times to bring our water and appetizers. It just felt cozy--like family. I want to go at least one more time before I leave Atlanta. On a random note, I really liked the art in the restaurant.

Campagnolo is located in the heart of midtown Atlanta and nestled in between "The Pet Set" and the restaurant "Ten" on the popular and busy Piedmont Ave. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, as there were several couples who had their dogs on a leash while dining in front of the restaurant. Being located next door to a pet grooming spot, it's kind of expected you might see proud animal lovers stopping by to enjoy the neighborhood and some fine Italian dining. So if you're allergic to dogs, you might want to consider dining inside. My wife and I are doggie parents, and used to take our miniature poodle Mr. Snuggles to the Pet Set to get his "fly guy" look on, so we were perfectly fine dining outside and watching people walk their dogs in the neighborhood. So let's get down to the food! I am Italian and have worked in the culinary industry for many years--specifically in fine Italian restaurants. Therefore, my goal is to provide you with an honest and thorough assessment of the items I tasted. First, my wife and I ordered the mussels and the calamari as appetizers. Heads up, they are both pretty large portions, so if you're not feeling like one of those characters in a Snickers commercial, you might consider ordering the appetizers as a meal or just focus on enjoying one appetizer to start. The mussels are cooked in a sweet vermouth wine along with crushed tomatoes and sliced scallions. Most Italian restaurants cook their mussels with "garlic" and their choice of wine-particularly some type of white wine, so I was a bit surprised when I scooped out my first victim. The focus of the flavor was hence "sweet," as there was little to no garlic flavor infused into the broth. The pairing of the sweet vermouth wine with the scallions and diced sweet onion really makes this dish special if you enjoy a sweet dish. I personally like more of a garlic taste in my broth with a "dry" white wine, but I must say that the mussels tasted great! They weren't overcooked into a wad of bubblegum and were soft and easy to remove from their shells. However, I would have preferred a side of "warm" bread for extra dipping, but after requesting some extra bread, our waiter brought back a basket of bread that was not warm--a BIG NO NO by Italian standards!! We also ordered the calamari which is "sautéed" and NOT flash fried. Yes, make sure you read the menu carefully, because this is also a different preparation than what you might typically be accustomed to. The calamari is sautéed with pine nuts, white wine, tomatoes, scallions and here is the kicker--"raisins!" Yuck! Well that is what my wife said because she dislikes raisins, but they are "golden" raisins (oooh fancy) that aren't too dominant in the overall flavor profile. However, like the mussels, there is a sweet note to this dish, but the difference here is that the tomato sauce contains cracked red pepper and the raisins provide a delicate balance of sweet mixed with spicy, so it actually works well in my opinion. The thing I didn't like was that the calamari and sauce was portioned on top of a slice of bread, which became extremely soggy and essentially scooping up mush. Not my thing, but overall a pretty good dish. I had the lamb marsala as my entree. This was pretty tasty, but the wine reduction was not as "pure" as I would typically make in a Marsala dish. Basically, it appeared that they used corn starch or a rue (butter and flower) to rely on thickening up the sauce, instead of allowing the Marsala wine to cook down and thicken up into a true reduction. I could tell by the consistency of the sauce; when I picked up my fork and allowed the sauce to drip...it was making streaks as if it was hardening too quickly-this is a sign of adding too much flower or corn starch. Although the flavor was good, I would have preferred more mushrooms and my mashed potatoes positioned on the side of my dish, as opposed to the lamb laying directly on top of the mashed potatoes-too much moisture in one spot for me. Overall, the service was great and our waiter was very kind. The atmosphere is chill and the food is tasty with some different taste profiles for your pallet to experience. If I could give 3 1/2 stars I would; what keeps them back from having 4 stars are the few inconsistencies with the food preparation that I discussed above. More importantly, I would dine here again to try another dinner entree on the menu. In addition, this was my first review on Yelp and I hope that it was helpful. I look forward to sharing more reviews in the near future...until then...happy dining everybody! Cheers! -Tom

Ummm I'm kinda of lost for words....I just could not wait to come here because of the reviews and pictures...We came with another couple.... I had the Lamb Marsala it was ok ...my homemade chicken marsala is 10 times better than this...it was not flavorful it was kind of sweet & the meat was not that tender..my fiancé got Cornish Hen it was a lot of chicken very crispy skin on it..but it was bland tasting it was served over potatoes and carrots which were sauteed in a very bland translucent sauce...the other couple played it safe ordered the Lasagna... It was pretty good but not what I expected .....I was disappointed... But the look of the place is beautiful.... But they need to hire a new chef to enhance the flavor in Italian food... I mean you know it's bad if Italian food TASTE BLAND...The best part was Dale the server was phenomenal.... He was so personable and he was on top of everything..

I'm a Bloody Mary girl and these folks make their own mix from scratch. And it's totally divine. During their brunch hours, Bloody Marys here are only $5 and have $3 refills even! Crazy, right? How lovely is that? Didn't try their food today but the drink was fabulous. As was the personnel. Definitely a great place to try.

Do NOT go to this restaurant until Fall or Winter season! This restaurant's air conditioning system has not been working for months and the owner and management are not having it repaired. Customers are literally seawting while dining. NOT an enjoyable experience!!!!!!!!

I love to try new restaurants, and on my first visit I had high expectations. I was thrilled that Campagnolo did not disappoint! Started off with some specialty cocktails. I had their version of a margarita (La Paloma) and husband had their version of a lemon drop (Aaaaah Sorento). The bitters in la paloma were a bit overpowering for me...neither of us were impressed by the drinks and switched to wine and a plain dirty martini. Next up were the beet salad and the arugula salad. Both were delicious. Though the arugula salad only has a few ingredients, it felt full and rich. For dinner we tried the lasagna and the lamb marsala. The lasagna was fantastic. Spectacular. I am not easily impressed by lasagna and I was blown away. The marsala was good, but didn't wow us. For dessert we had the Banana Walnut Semifreddo at the recommendation of our server. I wasn't impressed. I wish that we had tried something else. The service was really good. Steven V. did a great job! It's a nicer (i.e. pricier) place, but the servers were mostly wearing shorts (seemed a little out of place) or jeans...so you can definitely come casual.

This place makes me happy. They serve delicious food (you *have* to try the lasagna) and have a very solid cocktail rotation. Pretty much everything else I've had for dinner is decent. I usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are friendly, the stools are comfortable, and when I order a manhattan it comes out made properly - with an adequate amount of whiskey and thus not drowning in vermouth, with a cherry for the perfect finish, and without an obnoxious question as to whether I'd like indulge in the latest cocktail ruining fad by having my manhattan on the rocks. I remember brunch being a tad disappointing - there was nothing spectacular that stood out, but that may be because I'm more of a breakfast snob than an excuse-to-booze-heavily-in-the-middle-of-the-day sort of guy (not that there's anything wrong with that!). The décor inside is quite nice - classy modern chic - and they have a patio where you can soak up the sun or enjoy those warm Atlanta nights. When you're done you can head around the corner to Kat's for some live music.

I was wanting a nice pasta dinner and a place that my picky eater husband could find something he would enjoy. I had the lasagna and I've never had something so delicious as this. It was out of this world fantastic. My husband who hates red sauce pasta even enjoyed it so you know it is good. It comes out in a circular bowl and is t your typical stacked lasagna it's on the thinner side buried under the most delicious layer of melted cheese. I always find two items that I ask my server what they'd suggest and I couldn't get the other option out before they stopped me with the lasagna. Seriously so good. My husband found himself a steak with potatoes which he gobbled down so I know he was a happy camper. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was for two reasons, one we had to park around the back which was no problem but we had to walk through a nasty smelly side path between this and another restaurant and there was liquid and food on the ground and it stunk. Two the person behind the bar found it appropriate to talk about another member of staff and their "dabbling" lifestyle (their words not mine) and there were even some inappropriate words used. None of which I found offensive, it could have been discreet but it could be clearly heard across the room and wasn't something we wanted to hear about.

I enjoy this place immensely. Whether you want a private meal or feel like conversing with your server, the service is always on point. I say this place reminds me of a coastal italian restaurant, not only because of the decorum but the food as well. The lasagna is something special, but they have a plethora of healthy fish options. I love the artwork. Except for that one with the faces as you walk to the restroom in the back on the left hand side. That one freaks.me .out. They offer (brunch) specials of, $5.00 for the first Bloody Mary, with $3.00 for refills. And you know what, that's how it should be. America.

Went here for dinner tonight. The piano player was fantastic, the food was delicious & the service was stellar, what more could you want? We started with the charcuterie board, it was a great selection & everything was delicious. Next we had the calamari, it was not breaded, came in a light red sauce & tasted incredibly fresh. For dinner I had the lasagna. I am from NY, Italian & I make a great one, so I have never ordered this at a restaurant before. I am so glad I did! The flavor was incredible. My friend had the pork shank, it was tender & flavorful. For dessert, we decided to share the chocolate tort. It wasn't exactly what we were expecting, but it tasted great! The piano player was fun, talented & is there every Sunday! I'm told the piano player on Friday & Saturday nights is great too :)

Hubby and I went for brunch and we had a reservation. Granted, it was chilly and overcast outside - but so was the service. The food was really, really good. We would go back for the menu. I had the asparagus frittata and it was excellent!! Hubby had steak and eggs and he raved about flavor and seasoning, and the tenderness was superb. However, the server seemed obligated. His smile was forced and we had to ask for the basics ( sugar, creamer, etc. not to mention,we had to ask for coffee refill. ) We really enjoyed the food and have heard a lot of positives about this place - but a smile goes a long way. Not sure we will be back. If I were the owner, I'd remind the staff that a smile goes a long way. There is a lot of competition in Atlanta for the brunch market. I'm hopeful that if we decide to go back, the service is improved.

This place is absolutely divine! The ambiance, the service, and most importantly, the food are all on point. I shared the mussel appetizer and the roasted beet salad, and ordered the special of the day as my entrée. The mussels in the vermouth broth was light and delicious, with none of the grittiness. The beet salad was also great, although I do wish it included more of their fresh goat cheese. The special was prosciutto wrapped scallops on top of polenta cakes. Everything came together perfectly. Make a reservation (it does get crowded, especially on weekends) and definitely check this restaurant out.

Went here with a friend who invited me. Loved the ambience both inside and out. Service was quick and very friendly. We sat outside near the heated lamps and the server with the cool green hair and shades was great about keeping it lit. Great service, location, and food. I have no complaints.

I am just now doing my review. I went here for my birthday two weeks ago and I still smile when I remember the experience. The atmosphere was quaint and inviting. We were seated immediately upon arrival and a tag team of two waiters took our orders. I had two of their signature cocktails. The Good Witch and Midnight Milan. Both were good but good witch was slightly stronger in alcohol. The appetizers were delish and my lamb marsala was excellent! My birthday dessert was the Banana Walnut Semifreddo. It was soooo good! The Beignets and bananas was nice and warm. The Salted Caramel ice cream was a good contrast with the walnuts adding a nice crunch. We had a good time and would recommend this place to anyone.

Right next to Zen on Ten is Campagnollo. In fact they share a valet. Nice outdoor eating area and modern clean tables inside. I went right for the cocktail menu and selected the La Palmona. A very refreshing tequila citrus drink like a margarita but isn't. I couldn't help myself I had two. I suggest you do the same. It's a rare thing to find arancini on a menu, being the fan that I am of rice over pasta I instantly ordered them. These are such a pain in the neck to make I'd rather have them out than make them at home. These balls of creamy friend risotto make me happy. This version is drizzled with balsamic and all around satisfying. Most, not all, of the pasta is made in house. one of which is featured in the lasagne. Once I saw bechamel in the description I was sold. It's one of their signature dishes and I see why. It is made to order. The noodle sheets are layered with bolognese, topped with bechamel then the mozzarella and broiled til bubbly and brown. It is fantastic. The bolognese has good depth and the balance of sauce and cheese to pasta is lovely. The pork shank over polenta left something to be desired. No depth of flavor and underseasoned. The meat was tender enough and polenta creamy smooth but flavor was missing for sure. At some point I am going to give up hope of having a spectacular ceasar salad out in a restaurant because again I was left disappointed with this plate of greens. This one has actual anchovies laced on the top but that didn't save it. Dessert was pretty damn good all around. Cheesecake with a peach sauce, light yet substantial. Good flavor and texture. Gluten free chocolate torte tastes more like a fluffy flourless chocolate cake sprinkled generously with salted chopped pistachios. Delicious flavor and heavenly texture. I licked the plate clean and I was full before it even landed on my table. I didn't dare waste a bit of that. Wonderful attentive service and capable staff overall. I feel like based on this experience the menu is a bit hit or miss but if you hit the right items you will have a great taste experience at Campagnolo.

It's hard to know what is better here, the people or the food. Both are outstanding. All of the wait staff treats me like I am their long lost sister, the bartender Benny, remembers what I had to drink 6 weeks ago and they all are friendly, pleasant and professional. The food is always delicious. Tonight I had the Caprese salad and the scallops which are bacon wrapped on polenta. Both were absolutely perfect in presentation, taste, and portion. iI don't eat here often enough, it is a jewel in midtown, I doubt you will be disappointed if you try them.

Had the ribeye and it was disgusting. Cooked unevenly, no seasoning and beyond fatty. It was 80% fat and the little meat left was very raw and slimy. The Brussels sprouts were super greasy and burned. Big mistake. Payed a hefty bill for this nasty thing. This place is losing its touch which is a shame because I am a frequent customer. Guess not anymore.

This restaurant sits on the OK mark for me, and I know that there seem to be a lot of fans of it out there, and I do see why. It's possible I just had a A-Ok experience that doesn't define the restaurant as a whole, but - Started out with the mussles and arancini. The mussles were the highlight of everything I tried in the evening, I like that the base is provided with grilled bread, the muscles were cooked to perfection, melted in my mouth. The arancini, highly touted, had decent flavor and the crispy outside was a nice compliment to the risotto. I had hoped for more from the sauce though. Quite contrary to the gnocchi which I sampled which felt to me like the amount of sauce had to be chosen wisely otherwise it was overpowering to the dish. For the main course, the fettuccine, the prawns were cooked perfectly, however, half the fettucine seemed to be undercooked while the other half seemed more on target. It felt to me the dish was not 100% cooked to order to gain such inconsistency. The sauce is very mild, it did not pop to me as I felt like I wanted it to. The décor, layout, and service of this place were spot on. I really like the old reclaimed wood style bar and the service seems to be very attentive and friendly. Due to our situation, myself and my party sat at the bar - so factor that into the 'service' mark as there was someone standing in front of us all the time, who, was attentive - and the management swung by and were also friendly. I would probably try another visit, if I'm in this area again, as it seems this place has potential for me to land it on a 4 or 5 star.

I had a pretty bad experience here my first time and I didn't want that to color my review, so I returned for a second chance. Unfortunately Campagnolo fell short again. Although the service was much better this time, ultimately it's about the food and this is where it falls apart. GF and I shared the caprese salad to start, and this was decent. The tomato slices were thick, the basil leaves were fresh, but the mozzarella was past its prime and a little grainy. Not the nice springy buffalo mozzarella better places serve. For entrées, I had the corvina and GF had the risotto. My fish would have been good, but there were too many competing flavors and the dish was just confused. The chef would do well to remember that sometimes less is more. GF's risotto was decent, but nothing to write home about. Our dining companions all had similar comments, that the food was mediocre at best. For the money, there are too many Italian restaurants serving better food. Our second time at Campagnolo was likely our last.

Ordered cured meats, lamb Marsala, hanger steak, and banana beignets. Food was great, mostly. The steak came with two side dishes--one Cooked really well and one really bland. The steak was a bit too salty.

Am here in Atlanta for a business trip and was looking for something non-southern for a change (had eaten at South City Kithen 2 nights in a row already. So i looked for an Italian joint nearby. Campagnolo was within walking distance from the Marriott so i gave it a shot. It's in a pretty nice, active area nearby Piedmont Park. Got there around 8ish and it wasn't busy at all. Walked in the door and there were like 5 waiters just chilling there talking to each other, which got me worried. But one of them immediately greeted me and helped me to a seat outside. Throughout the night, Mark, the guy who seated me was attentive enough - not overly draped on me, nor was there a time where he didn't get me what i needed. Just right I'd say. Friendly guy too. Asked for the recommendations, but went with the Orechiette with sausage. Bread came quickly - bread was nice and soft and came with pesto oil. For just one person, they sure did give me a lot of bread. Asked for sweet tea, which when he returned, said they didn't have, but he improvised and gave me tea and some simple syrup on the side. I like that he didn't just give up. My food came pretty quickly - about 15-20 min later. Was nice and hot, the pasta itself was well cooked. And the portion was huge. I honestly should have gone with the smaller portion for $10. Large was $16. The sausage was very well cooked and seasoned. Not tough, not too salty (which was my fear). It was tossed with some baby tomatoes and broccoli rabe, which were fine. Definitely didn't finish it. For dessert, i had the chocolate bread pudding. I consider myself a bread pudding connoisseur and this was definitely sub-par. Large portions of not completely cooked bread (i.e., it was as if eating stale bread). Other parts were fine, so i ate from those areas, which unfortunately were less than the stale parts. Flavor was good - wish they gave you more strawberries on the side. If only they could cook it properly, it'd have been pretty good. Definitely stay away from it. Towards the end of the night, by now 945/10ish, live music started playing. Guy was pretty good. Woulda stayed but the bugs outside were beginning to come out to play and homey don't play that. Overall, nice ambiance (although totally different outside vs inside; inside is definitely swankier, outside is more casual). Good solid food. Poor dessert execution. Friendly, prompt service. I'd give it another go. On a side note, I think that area is most likely the gay district/part of town. So, if that's your thing, might want to hit up this joint too. The tunes the singer was playing definitely leaned towards that way - Elton John's "Daniel", a Les Mis tune, the song from My Best Friend's Wedding back-to-back-to-back. I did enjoy it though. And prior to the live music, they play over their sound system a darn good blend of 80s and 90s music - heavy on the King of Pop. Would be a great place for a first date in my opinion.

Awe. Some! Jerry is the most attentive and yet unobtrusive waiter ever. We were in town from Detroit and feel so fortunate to have found this delicious spot in midtown. Great outside space! Had chicken pate, mushroom risotto with shrimp and the orecchiette with sausage and washed it down with a - Wednesday night special - 1/2 off bottle of chianti. If I lived in Atlanta id be here twice weekly!

If you're considering this place for dinner, consider your decision made: EAT HERE. I had an amazing experience eating dinner here on a Thursday night at 9pm with my parents (visiting from NYC). Here's what I loved: - FOOD: The food was amazing. The beet salad has this great beet purée (very unique) and is a well balanced delicious dish. The caprese has meaty tomatoes and a huge serving of cheese. The roasted garlic on top was amazing. Salmon was cooked perfectly- medium on the inside, crispy skin on the outside. The pastas were cooked perfectly and the little ear pasta was well balanced with a bit of spicy sausage and roasted tomato. Loved it. Portion sizes are huge, consider getting the half portions (available for some dishes). The bread pudding melts in your mouth. Wines are very inexpensive by the glass. - SERVICE: Jason was an amazing server. He was incredibly nice, knowledgable about the menu and helped us to navigate our way through it to our final meal. The manager came by a few times to see how we were doing and he was very warm and welcoming. - ATMOSPHERE: You have options for inside and outside seating. I love the casual yet cool space. It felt very comfortable and was perfect for our post-comedy show dinner. Hands down this was a five star restaurant and experience. Also the best restaurant I ate at during my 4 day trip to Atlanta.

I'm such a fan. I went on my birthday and it was everything that I expected and hoped for. I ordered the lasagna and it was so good. The bread and oil that they put on the tables were good too. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meals. Someone ordered calamari and another ordered lamb. I will definitely come here again. Also the patrons were prettty cool as well. It can be a little loud, but the food made up for it. It was also very reasonable pricing.

Loved this place!!!! Came in solo on a beautiful Saturday. Enjoyed a Peach Bellini, Caprese salad and there mushroom zucchini sandwich. Staff was very attentive down to the on duty manager. Brunch time seems to be the optimal time to enjoy refill drinks ( on the brunch menu) for a discount .

I love trying new restaurants so I brought my friend here for lunch for her birthday. We were greeted by such friendly staff. The atmosphere was very nice and cool. The food was absolutely delicious. The only thing wrong with my Campagnolo budget is that the buns were a big soggy. But other than that, overall was great!

The arugula salad is fantastic and add on their chargrilled chicken for an excellent dinner salad. The lasagna NEVER disappoints. It's rich, meaty, cheesy, and friggin delish. The shank, when they have it is outstanding. The service is always friendly and very knowledgable.

Update (2/14/13) BRUSSELS SPROUT PANINI - $9 Roasted brussels sprouts, proscuitto, spicy anchovy aioli, Fontina cheese on ciabatta bread, and served with a side of arugula salad. I'm a huge brussels sprout fan so no surprise I loved this sandwich. **************************************************************************************** Thanks to Scoutmob for introducing me to this place - one of my new favorite lunch spots. This is the location of the former Big Red Tomato and Sweet Devil Moon. ARUGULA SALAD - $6 Black pepper lemon vinaigrette, toasted pine nuts, parmesan cheese. The reviews raved about it, I'm a huge arugula fan, and Campagnolo's salad didn't disappoint. Yum. CAMPAGNOLO BURGER - $11 The reviews and my servers from both visits raved about the burger too - I agree w/ them :) House ground double patty, mortadella, spicy pepperoni, provolone cheese, picked onions, garlic bread bun. Burger was salty but I still enjoyed it - I liked the aioli-like sauce. Also came w/ Sweetwater 420 battered onion rings - very crispy! No surprise I was super full after eating the salad, burger, AND rings. ORECCHIETTE - $10 The reviews and server also raved about this dish - again I agree. Housemade sausage, broccoli rabe, parmesan, cherry tomatoes. I think there was enough pasta to make two meals ... except I couldn't stop eating. Nice tasty pasta dish. Next time I'd like to try the Brussels Sprouts Panini ($10) and the Roasted Beet Salad ($8). Overall 4 stars for their great menu, reasonable prices, nice service, great space, not being crowded during lunch, and free parking in the back. Definitely check this place out.

I wrote a tip a few momths ago and said I'd be back for dinner. I still haven't had their dinner, but their weekend brunch is awesome as always. I've had a couple of the frittatas and french toast, both are excellent as well as the bellinis, mimosas, and service.

The downlow: Campagnolo burger was too fatty and too salty, and probably would have been better executed had it featured one thicker (juicier) patty rather than two. The onion rings, though, were honestly really delicious, if a bit too greasy... when you take a bite into one, you're not left with stringy onion trailing out the side of your mouth like TP tucked in your pants after a visit to the public restroom. Rather, each bite is crisp and discrete. I was underwhelmed by the brussells sprouts panini. "A" for effort and creativity; "C" for execution. When the sandwich arrived the fontina cheese was melted, yes, but overall the panini was barely warm. Frankly, the blend of flavors in the sandwich filling did nothing for me. A sharper cheese, or maybe a dash of something tart or sweet might have done wonders... I appreciate that the sprouts were supposed to be roasted, but they sure tasted boiled to me. What I should have done, in retrospect, was stuff some of the arugula salad in the panini. This salad was one of the best that I've eaten in a restaurant; lightly dressed with a tart vinaigrette, tossed with cranberries and pine nuts (possibly candied pine nuts). Service was nothing to speak of. For being the only party in the restaurant, it sure did take a long time for our waiter to come 'round with the bill. too long didn't read: great sides, Entrees are ambitious but need work.

The atmosphere was lovely, I was welcomed as I walked in.. All a beginning of a lovely evening. I was there to join a gathering so I was excited to see and try what everyone else selected. I tried one of the evenings specials ... There was so much noise in the group I can only say it was Scallops on a yummy polenta cake and what my server called a spicy sauce. The presentation was lovely and it arrived hot and was delicious. Not spicy at all. I heard the pasta was homemade by one of handsome men in out group, so I was hoping to try a fork full.. Which I did.. VERY good! All in all.. The live music was a really nice and unexpected surprise, the food was .. Good and the service was attentive considering the size of the group.. I'd be back to try the lasagna which looked amazing... Or just appetizers and drinks..

Went for dinner last night and I have mixed feelings about this place. Was debating on a 3 star but decided to go for the 4. For apps we ordered the zucchini piccata which was really good! Something very different you don't see on the menu everyday, and the mushroom carpaccio which was the worst thing I have ever eaten in my life. I wish I could have spit it out. They need to remove that OFF the menu. For Dinner I had the gnocchi which the pesto was AWESOME so were the fried garlic pieces on top but the gnocchi was really dry. My cousin had the lasagne which was phenomenal. I stole as many bites as I could from her. My friend that joined us got the Capellini pasta which was so simple yet SO good!!! For dessert they were out of t he bread pudding which was disappointing but we got the chocolate torte which was OK, little too dense for me and the banana semifredo with beignet's and that was SINFUL!!!! SO I will be back, I think I just ordered poorly! Everyone else's food was SO GOOD!!! I loved the patio area as well!!

I dined on valentines day, the food was fantastic!! The risotto balls are to die for! They would of got five stars but the service was very slow for such a nice place...I think he had to many tables (not his fault) I will defiantly be going back, and I'll bring the family along too.

We have been to Campagnolo a few times for brunch and have never been disappointed. The service has been fantastic every time and everyone that works here is super friendly and very welcoming. There is nice pet friendly patio outside and the interior is simple and elegant. Everything I have tried here has been really good. I'd recommend trying the sausage frittata, Brussels sprout Panini, Campagnolo burger, or caserecci pasta. The frittata is huge and has a nice mix of sausage, tomatoes, caramelized onions, and provolone. If you aren't starving it really can be shared by 2. The burger is really good and is topped with mortadella, pepperoni, provolone, onion ring all on garlic bread. It is a very unique and tasty burger. Really, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the items on the menu. I'll have to post another review once I make it here for dinner. Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, and Bellini's are all $5 dollars each and only $3 to refill as well which is a pretty good deal. I know it's been open for over a year now, but what a wonderful addition to the midtown neighborhood!

I went here with several friends to celebrate a milestone. I had the zucchini piccata for my first dish, which was delicious. The bread at the table was also freshly baked and quite good. The special was scallops wrapped in prosciutto on top of fried polenta. The dish tasted fine, although the polenta was too crunchy. However, $23 for three scallops is very overpriced. My friends mostly ordered the lasagna which looked good and actually filled people up. I left the restaurant hungry. The food was good enough to pull my rating up to 3 stars, but the service was atrocious. Our waiter was very aggressive about pushing the wine on us, even after we declined several times. Even as he brought us tea and soda, he kept pushing the wine. Then he questioned people who did not order a salad and tried to force them to order one by repeatedly asking if they were sure they didn't want salad. He had trouble communicating clearly and became fairly upset when a late arriving guest did not seat where he expected the guest to sit. We also had to wait 90 minutes for our food to come out. The waiter never checked on us or let us know what the delay was. I doubt I'll be coming back.

We found this place on yelp for an early dinner after a show at the Fox. We will definitely be back! The food and service were excellent, the wine list is really nice and they had an AWESOME piano singer. We never wanted to leave. We will definitely be back next time we are in Atlanta!

My husband am I have lived right down the street for the past year and finally stopped in for dinner a couple weeks ago. I am so sorry we didn't come in sooner! It was one of the best Italian meals we have had in Atlanta. We recently toured Italy and Campagnolo is spot on! We sat on the patio which was perfect and started with the pancetta arancini (breaded risotto balls) - what a way to start! My husband then ordered the lasagna which was almost as good as our fav lasagna in Rome- the bechamel completes the dish! I had the orrechiette with sausage and broccoli rabe- very tasty. And to finish it off; espresso bread pudding- holy moly! We will be back!!

So...me and my girls tried this spot for the 1st time and we were pleasantly surprised! E.J. Our server. You gotta ask for him. Service was impeccable. Jerry was our bartender...so much fun and he made our drinks extra special:) The chicken piccata over ANGEL HAIR PASTA is a must try. Also, try the Campagnolo with cheese on the eggs and you will not regret it. Me and my sister ordered it and we were both in love. 2 members of our party ordered the French toast and enjoyed it. The bellinis were the bomb (mimosas were good too)! We will return...:)

I came here with a friend for lunch on Saturday. It was a beautiful day in the city and we wanted to try something new. I've seen this spot on Scoutmob for a while and I always meant to check it out but I could never mentally wrap my ahead around where it was located. I finally put it into my GPS and realized it's next door to Kats Cafe, Across from Blakes parking lot and behind Zocalo and 10. There is complimentary valet parking located at the same place you go for Zocalo and you can just walk over. We decided to sit outside since it was so sunny out. After pondering over the menu for quite some time I decided "When in Campagnolo, do as the Campagnolo do!" so I ordered their signature Campagnolo burger. My friend ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken (made me feel real greedy). When I ordered the burger, I was surprised that the waiter didn't ask me how I want it cooked so to avoid any potential pink meat mishaps I told him I wanted it medium well. He kindly let me know that the patties are somewhat thin so there's really only one way to cook them. i was fine with that. We waited and our food came out rather quickly. My burger came with 3 or 4 huge onion rings. I wasn't really a fan because they were a little greasy and little to oniony for me. The burger on the hand was quite delicious. It came with 2 beef patties. I was a little worried that it would be too beefy but it actually was good because there was pepperoni on the burger to help balance out the taste. The meat was tender, bread was soft and overall I was very happy with my choice. My friend was a little weary about his Caesar salad because it came with anchovies. He offered them to me at first but I told him to try them because that was an additional guest in his flavor party. He tasted them and definitely agreed they mingled well with the other ingredients. I tasted a piece of his chicken and it was moist and juicy. The salad was a nice size with a healthy portion of chicken. He was very happy with his choice. This is another spot that I would definitely go back to with or without a Scoutmob deal but that 50% off sure did come in handy!

Me and some friends came by the restaurant for dinner not too long ago. The service was great and the food was better. We didn't like our appetizers and ordered another one and to our surprise they still charged us just for one appetizer. Great atmosphere and I recommend it!!!

Went for brunch. I like that their cocktails refill at a discount but I didn't see a lot on the menu that I was excited about. I ordered a frittata which was fine and reasonably priced. The indoor area is much larger than it appears from the outside and the decor is clean and modern. The service my group of 3 received was exceedingly slow but I understand they'd had some servers call out that day so I'll give them a pass for that. Middle of the pack.

Wow. So bad it is hard to say: the chicken that came with the arugula salad stank like something that's just "supposed to taste like chicken". Who knows what it was or what was done to it. Just horrible.

Barman rude, it seems to be an intellectual stretch for him to have a drink at the bar and then want the tab transferred to our table outside. More bacon than pasta in the fettuccine and risotto lacked salt. Otherwise our waiter was friendly. A good place for drinks as long as you don't ask too much of the barman, location is nice but dinner considering the price, no. Sotto Sotto is much better.

Dinner: Cornish Hen Herbs, melted cabbage, glazed carrots & potatoes, natural jus Food: 3/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Average: 4 The meat was cooked nicely and the taste was fairly good. While there was a whole hen, which I thought would only be a half, I must say that they seemed to skimp on the potatoes, carrots and cabbage. The taste of the jus was good. At first my thoughts of this place was that it was expensive and might serve up a tiny dish. While the former was partly true, the portions were pretty big besides the amount of non-protein items. I did find it interesting that they did not carry sweet tea, being in a large southern city. It was nice to have the simple syrup brought out to accommodate my tastebuds and so I could sweeten the tea myself. I would like to try lunch here, as a lot of the lunch pics of their food look good. As for dinner though I think I had the only non-beef/pork option that they serve (do not eat pork/beef). While it was tasty and there was a large serving of protein, I felt the dish could've had less meat and more veggies. I guess this is the south though and people like their oversized portions of meat. I will probably not be back here, only for the fact that there are not a lot of options for me to eat considering my food preferences, the food is a little expensive, and the portion of vegetables were skimp.

Me and my SO had a great romantic dinner here. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We got a squash Gorgonzola cheese ravioli dish as an appetizer that was the best ravioli I've ever had. I wish we got that as the main course because it was amazing. For our main course we had the fettuccine with prawn which was very fresh and tasty. 4/5 stars!

We found this place one night for dessert and went back for dinner the next time. Service was GREAT both times, which is part of why we returned. The first night, we also loved the 2 for 1 lemoncello late night. So we went back because we heard the lasagna was amazing. It really is AMAZING. We also had the cioppino, which was amazing as well. It was perfect to offset the rich lasagna with the healthy, clean fish stew. AND... the second night was Wednesday, which was 1/2 off wine. It just kept getting better.

bloody marys = standard campagnolo breakfast = fluffy scrambled eggs (no brown!) + thick polenta + sweet/savory meatball yummers i came here for a ladies brunch, and had a great time. our server was funny and personable, which always makes me happy. a good laugh only adds to a good meal. i love the maple meatballs for breakfast. genius idea for an italian brunch! we drank. we ate. we drank some more. we drank even more. and we got our check split up correctly! we hung around for a few hours, and i was so pleased that we weren't rushed out or completely ignored. i'm looking forward to going back.

Only been here for brunch, but I was extremely pleased both with the food and the service. The menu is inventive without being over the top, and it is extremely clever for a restaurant to offer on its brunch menu reduced-price refills on Mimosas and Bloody Marys. That will win a lot of folks over in this neighborhood. As a fan of brussels sprouts, and yes, I know I'm in a certain minority with that statement, I love the liberal use of it in menu items. There it is in a frittata and a panini, and both are exceptionally tasty. Major points there. The Arugula salad serves as a nice starter for a meal, with the lemon vinaigrette being a perfect equalizer for the spiciness of the Arugula. It is obvious a lot of thought went into each menu item based on the success of the blend of components on this salad. The burger is hearty and served on tasty garlic bread bun, not one of those trendy pretzel buns that everyone feels compelled to use nowadays for burgers. The Sweetwater-battered (as advertised) onion rings are the perfect side: not too greasy, and not overpowered by the beer batter. I had the Eggs Benedict once as well, and while it's not bold or daring or deconstructed, it is a great menu item. The chef obviously realized what a win it can be just to have some of the traditional items on the brunch menu and to flawlessly execute them. My only negative is that twice I've had sides of bacon, and both times the sides were too crispy, which obviously caused much of the flavor of the bacon to be lost. However, if that's the only bad thing I have to say, they're doing a lot right. It is extremely heart-warming to return to Atlanta and see this restaurant's success in a location that seemingly has spelled doom for restaurants that have resided there. There's a lot of effort that has been poured into Campagnolo's success, and with intelligent planning and thoughtful execution, it looks like it will be the restaurant to stay for a while. Well worth several visits.

Went on a Monday night without many customers; they all seemed to be at the Mexican places in the neighborhood. Later I was told it was the 5th (Cinco) of May and suddenly that made more sense given the quality of this place. Caprese salad was great, tomatoes tasted home grown. Needed a bit of salt for my taste and none seemed available ... small complaint. The lasagna was absolutely delicious but the béchamel made it a bit rich and heavy. Didn't stop me from eating the whole thing, though (and feeling over stuffed when I left!). I have a braised brussels sprouts recipe I love so I was anxious to try theirs for comparison; mine are much better I'm afraid. Not something I'd order again. I had the gin and grapefruit cocktail (can't remember what they called it) that was a good accompaniment to the overall dinner. Given the minor criticisms above, I'd still offer this a very solid 4 stars. Also worth mentioning that the service was impeccable, thank you Jerry.

I ordered takeout. I opted for the seared chicken sandwich, cooked piccata style. Also included were tomatoes, parmesan, and capers. It was a pretty solid sandwich. The lemon sauce was very tasty. Not quite a piccata though because the chicken was not breaded. That's not a big problem though, healthier anyway! It did appear they took the extra step of roasting the tomatoes. It really helped to bring out their sweetness. I thought using garlic bread for the sandwich was a great idea. Don't know why I never thought of that. The sandwich was accompanied with an arugula salad. The greens were crisp, lightly dressed, and also topped with parmesan. The only reason I don't opt for more points is that the sandwich could have been prepared a bit more thoughtfully. All of the components were fantastic, but they really could have halved the bread portion. As it stood, the innards of the sandwich were surrounded with too much bread (i ended up tearing half of it off). Maybe it's a preference of mine, but I like the components of the sandwich to be balanced and complimented by the bread rather than overtaken. I'm not complaining about the portion size, for the price it was more than adequate. A little less bread though and the sandwich would feel more complete. That said, it was a great sandwich and salad for $9. You'd spend nearly that much on a sandwich and fries from a fast food restaurant. I will absolutely visit Campagnolo in the future. I look forward to trying their dinner. If the sandwich is any testament, I can't wait to head back there.

We ate here recently on a visit to Atlanta, and overall we were very pleased with the experience. The restaurant is cozy, but open, so we didn't feel cramped at all. We had the arancini (risotto balls) for an appetizer and they melted in our mouths... So tasty! We both had the lasagna, and it was some of the best we've ever had! Our only grumble is that our server was a little surly for some reason. Not sure if that was just his personality or if he was having a bad day, but it was a little awkward whenever we asked anything of him. It's definitely not the culture, though, because the bartender was very friendly. Either way, we'd definitely come back for another meal again

met up with some friends here just the other day for dinner. i'm a fan of Kat's Cafe which is just up the sidewalk and where the complimentary valet stand is as well but i'd never checked out the other spots on this corner of 10th and Piedmont. My friend picked the spot and i'm so glad. The 3 of us ordered and dined family style, several entrees and we shared. i ordered the caprese insalata and added shrimp! (yum!) and they'd already ordered sauteed oysters that i helped devour and then we had two pasta dishes for entrees. more yumminess! The drinks were great and our server (Gregory F) was a hoot! Love him! And at the end of the night our checks were split up correctly. LOL! (as christine h said) If you want to step into a spot for a good meal and awesome camaraderie you need to eat here! As soon as you step into the door you feel welcomed.

I was very excited to try the food at Campagnolo after many visits sipping wine on their patio. I actually don't think I've ever been inside the main restaurant.... Started with a caprese salad app that came with massive tomato chunks and a great portion of cheese. Certainly enough for the five of us. I'm more of a "eat the cheese and not the tomato" kind of guy, but the vinaigrette on the tomatoes was excellent with the cheese. We also got the peach bruschetta which was interesting in flavor and texture. Goat cheese and peaches actually go together well on this dish! I'm also a fan of pasta places that let you get smaller portions. For $10 I had the small orecchiette (small ears) pasta dish with house made sausage, broccoli rabe, parmesan, cherry tomatoes. A great pasta dish with a rich and meaty flavor. A great portion for a great price. I certainly could not have eaten more of it. Kev, our server, did an excellent job with a few us showing late and making us feel welcome. He even handled one of my friends spilling a glass of wine with ease. You should have seen my reflexes avoiding the red wine river. I am fast. To give you a reference point, I'm somewhere between a snake and a mongoose. And a panther. My only pet peeve with this place is their beer glasses. I definitely prefer pint glasses to their oversized champagne flutes. I don't think the glasses hold 16oz either, maybe 14oz. I will be back and I will be on the patio. What will I do in the winter? Don't worry I have a scarf.

First off, get the lasagna! Absolutely deliciously cheesy and flavorful. "Sweet tea" is sweetened with syrup...at first, a bit questionable, but ended up being really good. The atmosphere is very nice. Took a long time to get seated/service at the door, despite just a few customers. Partner had the chicken with melted cabbage, it was good. Caesar salad and bread, good. Would definitely go back for the lasagna!

So there I was, chatting up a stranger-to-me at our table, trying to be polite when suddenly.... *TINK*!!! I knock the edge of my wine glass and the entire almost-full glass of red wine goes flying for one of my dining companions. I was completely mortified. Also, I didn't even order any food since I arrived late, so I could almost hear everyone else thinking "GEEZ keep it together, you alcoholic!" Luckily our amazing server recovered from my moment with grace, and in a matter of 30 seconds I had a new, full glass of house wine and the mess had disappeared. I can't speak to the food just yet, but HORRAY for great service that acts fast enough so that a moment like this can be quickly forgotten.

I have been here twice and was pleased with service and food. Last night my wife and I were seated immediately, but while there seemed to be wait staff "everywhere" we sat for 10 minutes without any service. When I got up to leave I was told to have a great night, even after I explained why I was leaving thinking they thought we had already ate?? A three block walk over to Juniper was greeted with the service one expects in a well managed restaurant.

Ahhhh restaurant week. The one time a year where I don't feel like a former broke college student who still lives on a budget. I can dress up, get treated like a queen and treat myself to a fancy 3 course meal without spending more than a night at a douchey night club. Truly the best invention ever in the culinary world. In honor of Midtown restaurant week (now over). I shall write this extensive review in the tone of a frustrated and unsuccessful food writer who pretends like people actually read her reviews on Yelp and follow her ridiculous advice. (So me on a regular day) Here I go... At a selected $25 pre-fix menu and amazing service, I had the pleasure of tasting the following items: SMOKED TOMATO BISQUE Tasted very fresh but not particularly smokey. The tomato was a bit acidic (which makes it taste fresh) and the texture was creamy, but I would have loved a bit more smoke, spice or even herbs to power up the soup with more flavor. GRILLED PEACH BRUSCHETTA The peach was grilled but served cold on toasted french bread with giant chunks of fresh goat cheese. The goat and peach combo was absolutely smart but the peach should have been hot (and right off the grill) for a better contrast with the cheese. I get that its not really bruschetta that way, but it would have made a huge difference on the dish. ROASTED PUMPKIN RISOTTO The sole reason why I chose the $25 versus the $35 menu (I swear i'm not a cheapo). I absolutely love the taste of pumpkin in pasta dishes and this was not a disappointment. The dish was huge, the risotto was creamy and the crunchiness of the pine nuts was a perfect combo. I do admit that the dish was slightly sweeter than it needed to be, but since I eat pumpkin-everything, I was pretty happy with this dish. ORCHIETTE Composed of penne pasta with SPICY (the menu doesn't mention this) sausage, broccoli rabe, cherry tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. It looks incredibly simple and tastes incredibly simple (literally just 5 ingredients). The spice was a welcomed and nice surprise but may be a little too much for those that can't handle the heat. It tasted super fresh but nothing out of this world and easily replicated at home. ESPRESSO BREAD PUDDING Super super heavy and dense. TONS of chocolate flavor and rich chocolate chips. Definitely very tasty in flavor but it was so dense that it made it hard to eat, let alone finish. I would have served 1/2 of the size of the dessert and maybe added a dipping sauce to compensate for the dryness. Again great flavor, just too damn thick. And no, that's not a "that's what she said" joke. PANNA COTTA Weirdest dessert ever. The texture and base flavor was good. However, there was dry rosemary in the bottom of the dessert (within the gelatinous mixture) and red peppercorns on the top. Yes, sweet jello with rosemary and peppercorn. I don't know if my taste buds aren't refined enough or if this was just a failed experiment. Either way, I applaud them for the ballsy move but I can't say that I would order this again. It was just... strange. I'm sorry. I would say a successful restaurant week year after year. Despite the mediocre review, I still enjoyed my time at Campagnolo and do not regret having visited such a well known restaurant with amazing reviews. The patio is great, the location is in the heart of midtown (that I love so dearly) and the service was top notch. I will miss you restaurant week. Until we meet again...

Looks like a good semi-regular Italian restaurant. It was solid but not mind-blowingly awesome. We tried: Salad Mussels Cioppino Capellin with added meatballs Mussels were good - The sauce was a little more pungent than I expected but still good. Great for sopping up with bread. Capellin was a great-sized portion of pasta. It was traditional Italian so it wasn't drenched in sauce. Three meatballs were very hearty. Cioppino - Biggest disappointment. It was generally good but three of the four clams were closed. To me, that is a failure on the chef's part for failing to check the quality of the seafood. The restaurant decor is very nice. The location has always been a bad spot for restaurants and it has a clean, open feel.

This is exactly the type of restaurant that will succeed on this corner - inexpensive and well-executed brunch fare, rustic chic decor, and a patio where the neighborhood queens can see and be seen. The restaurant also played an ample assortment of both Prince and Michael Jackson hits during my recent Saturday afternoon visit, which I personally consider to be worth at least an extra star. Food: Campagnolo is managed by the same company as Peasant Bistro, while the chef has formerly graced the kitchen's of Abattoir, Pricci, and Vini Vidi Vici. As such, it's no surprise that the rustic Italian fare served at Campagnolo is expertly prepared and presented. During my visit for brunch, I opted for the chicken picatta sandwich and a mimosa, the latter of which I consider to be an essential brunch accoutrement. The cocktail was on point and the sandwich was both flavorful and adequately portioned. The dish was also accompanied by a small side salad, which complemented the sandwich quite nicely. Service: Personable, professional, and eager to please. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The manager also stopped by once the food had arrived to gauge our satisfaction with the meal. Atmosphere: Despite the fact that Campagnolo means "peasant" in Italian, this place is far from a peasant's hangout. The interior is impeccably decorated, complete with rustic wood accents, an open kitchen, and a lowered back dining room. Dress is casual. The restaurant also offers an outdoor patio with a bird's eye view of the intersection of Piedmont and 10th Streets. Cost: Surprisingly inexpensive for the location and quality of the food. Lunch and brunch entrees are $6-$10, while dinner entrees are $10-$20. Dinner sides are $5 and desserts are $7. Bloody Mary's, Bellini's and Mimosa's are $5 each, but $3 for refills. Other: Valet parking is available - the entrance is off Piedmont just before Helmet Hair Salon. Otherwise, ample free street parking is available along Piedmont and the surrounding side streets. Contrary to the hours listed on Yelp, Campagnolo is open for lunch Monday-Friday. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 11AM-11PM, Friday-Saturday, 11AM-12AM, and Sunday, 11AM-10PM. Campagnolo is currently on Scoutmob (maximum $10 discount), but the discount is only applicable toward lunch or brunch.

One's experience at a restaurant has a lot to do with whether you feel welcomed. I did not. I read all these wonderful reviews so my friend and I were looking forward to great Italian cuisine. We entered in the side door, a bit disoriented after navigating our way from the parking which is behind the building and entered from another street. We were ignored at first and finally someone asked if we were there for the wine-tasting. After being asked that twice, finally we were sort of seated or rather we were asked if we wanted to be inside or out. We opted for outside and seated ourselves since no one bothered to do it or escort us to the patio. We opted for a set of two tables since I tend to like to spread out a bit and the patio was largely empty. Then an older white gentleman, apparently the maitre'd or host came over and made it clear through tone he disapproved of the fact we chose to sit as a party of two where a party of four would fit I pointed out it wasn't busy, and he immediately replied it could be later. His face as he cleared the other two plates and flatware made it clear he wasn't pleased. So that's how our evening started. I'm a reasonable person but I think even if the man felt as he did, he shouldn't have said anything at all to us. He didn't bother to seat us and to come and basically make us feel uncomfortable was inappropriate. Frankly, I think if we'd been two attractive gay white males, he'd have been more gracious and kept his mouth shut. Our server Marc with a "c" was competent and friendly. He didn't however, like when I asked him to "slow down" when he began rapid-fire delivering the specials. I didn't ask rudely. But excellent service happens when a server doesn't jump into automaton mode, mechanically and far too quickly running through a list of components at break neck speed. Marc wasn't pleased and didn't apologize. Instead he looked annoyed and exaggeratedly repeated the menu. I'm no yahoo, but my overall feeling was my kind wasn't exactly welcome. Marc, spelled with a "c," warmed up eventually and did his job. He spoke knowledgeably about the menu, made recommendations from appetizers, entrees, and cocktails. Two of the standout dishes in reviews are the lamb marsala and the lasagna. Marc echoed those sentiments and we followed his lead. The food was fine. The lasagna was cheesy which my friend opted for, and I liked the lamb marsala which was subtle and light. The mashed potatoes were tasty and not heavy. I also ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was really a large plate and could have sufficed as a meal by itself. It was refreshing to have calamari, not deep-fried in batter, but presented in a light red aromatic red sauce all on top of bread which soaked up the sauce nicely. This is Midtown so the clientele is largely white and gay. I felt ultimately that's the demographic the restaurant is interested in catering to and serving. The restaurant ambience and decor are impressive. I will mention that the manager checked on our table repeatedly, as did Marc, who refreshed drinks regularly. Although I thought it was strange that he didn't offer a pepper mill or salt....food didn't absolutely need it, but I felt I shouldn't have to ask for it...that's kind of par for the course, isn't it? And, to maximize our experience, I just didn't feel like speaking to the manager about the problematic, borderline rude host or the initially snarky service from my server who mistakenly thought I was on my phone (I did have it in my hand and near my ear...but still...)and pointed out he'd wait for me to finish. Again, the kind of micro-aggression which subtlly suggested you don't belong here or you don't know how to act (after all, we dared to pick the two small tables, instead of one, since the patio was not full). The food was good but not enough to compensate for the subtle indignities and slights we suffered. Apparently, If you're white or a white, gay male or just accompanied by white gay males, I think you'd have a good experience. If you're not, I'd say steer clear. Your kind is not welcome, not really.

Great food, great service, and expensive drinks. Perfect first date spot! Just ask for a table away from the prep area. The manager preparing food to go to the table is VERY efficient at their job. Makes you feel a little bad for the people working there until you taste the food.

I have been crushing on this place for months, I love the outside seating and umbrellas. But sadly the food was not good. The brussle sprout sandwich was just cheesy, I couldn't taste the brussle sprouts. The orchiette came in a thick creamy sauce that I did not like at all. The sausage on the pasta was good, but there wasn' very much and I wished there was more. The beet salad was good, and I liked the beet and goat cheese combo. I went at lunch and it was almost completely empty. I asked for the peach bruschetta I had read about, and they said they would only make this at dinner. That was annoying because obviously they have the ingredients, and it wasn't like it was too busy to make it. Too bad the food wasn't good so I won't be back for dinner. FYI there's a scout mob!

Listen, I know the place is beloved, and I really, really wanted to like it. Atmosphere is so welcoming, great place for drinks. I can't find one item on the dinner menu I consider edible. Okay, yes edible in the won't-kill-you sense but not worth going out to eat. The capellini tasted like Spaghetti-O's. Hand on my heart it did. The meatballs only made it more so. They need to take this beautiful location and lovely staff and blow up the menu and start over. I want this to be a great option for the neighborhood.

I live in Austin, TX and was in Atlanta to visit my Lady Love. This was the first time either of us went to Campagnolo, however, we're already planning our return visit. We were a little pressed for time and were happy to be seated immediately. Our waiter, Kyle, was very courteous, friendly and attentive. He knows the menu well and answered all of our questions in detail. We told Kyle about our time constraint and he acted accordingly. He made sure that our dinner went smoothly, while at the same time, never giving us a feeling of being rushed. Kudos to Kyle. Ok, great service, nice atmosphere but the proof is in the pudding. Or, in this case, in the salad and entree. Being pressed for time we decided to split both courses. For starters we had: Caprese tomato, mozzarella, basil, roasted garlic, balsamic vinegar. Three large tomato slices, each topped with a generous serving of mozzarella and drizzled with a delicious balsamic dressing. Excellent! Our entree was: Fettuccine fresh pasta, argentinian red prawns, sofrito, roasted tomato, preserved lemon, basil A large serving of pasta in a unique tomato based sauce and six juicy prawns. Delicious!!! The service was so efficient that we found ourselves with enough time for a quick dessert. My Lady never had cannoli so I asked about it. No cannoli! Oh no!!, but there's several other goodies on the menu. This is my only, albeit minor, complaint. I can't blame Campagnolo for not having what we wanted so I won't diminish my rating of this excellent Italian restaurant.

Very tasty food and good service. Half price wine bottle on Wednesday was nice as well. I had the daily special of scallops and bacon, which was good, and girlfriend tried one of the pastas. We also did one app that I can't remember that was tasty too.

Hubs and I visited Campagnolo over the weekend for brunch thanks to a ScoutMob deal I'd purchased. We arrived after the brunch rush was over so the place was pretty quiet. Damien was our server and he was very accomodating. The deal started us off with a Bloody Mary for hubs and a Peach Bellini for myself, both were tasty (ordered a few refills even.) We then received a couple slices of the Lemon Ricotta French Toast, which was delicious! Hubs ordered the Campagnolo burger and enjoyed it, the bite I had was yummy. I ordered the sausage frittata which I thoroughly enjoyed, the sausage was quite good. My frittata was huge so I ended up taking half with me and ate it on the way back to Savannah. We're moving to Atlanta in a month and I'm sure Campagnolo will be in our rotation if our experiences are always like our first time there.

Man, this place is great. I didn't know much about it except that it was the new kid on the (10th and Peachtree) block and it served rustic Italian food. I walked in and fell in love with the gorgeous patio, but my buddy wanted to sit inside so in we went. The inside is equally beautiful, probably more so. It is a sleek, minimalist room with a bar, some tables and booths farther back. It felt very sophisticated in a wonderfully understated sort of way. And the service was flawless. Our waiter was polite, efficient, not at all intrusive and yet helpful when it came to choosing my food. And on to the food- the trout was recommended to me and I am glad I listened. It was a beautiful plate with two small but perfectly seared fillets of trout sitting on fennel served two ways. My friend ordered the chicken, and it was also a beautiful dish, and a much larger portion. I specifically saved room for dessert, and was in heaven with the espresso bread pudding. It was a very large serving but I finished it all by myself (hey, no judging!). So I had a wonderful time, and this place certainly did not break the bank. Most entrees are under $20 and the atmosphere and service feels like this place could have cost a lot more (just don't tell them that!!!)

Since I went to Campagnolo, I had high hopes for what was a very unique burger and overall great experience. In short, I may have had a bad case of hunger-bias and the mortadella/beef/pepperoni combination on the burger was just the right elixir for my ravenous appetite after walking through midtown for a day. $11 - Campagnolo burger $10 - Meatball sub I went back and my date and I ordered the Campagnolo burger (again) and the meatball sub. The burger seemed a bit salty (surely a byproduct of the pepperoni and mortadella) but it also seemed to miss that grungy and manly kick that a burger should deliver. The meatball sub was just...meh. Meatballs were well cooked - almost TOO well cooked - and the cheese blend melted on top was a nice touch but nothing special. Campagnolo serves a purpose if you're looking for Italian food near Piedmont Park with exceptional people watching and slightly above decent eats = 3 stars.

My wife and I went for valentines. The atmosphere was very nice and laid back while still being "fancy". We had the calamari to start and it was really good. The sauce was wonderful but the bread underneath all the calamari was way to charred for my taste. My wife had the fettuccine but changed it to a cream sauce; she loved it. I had the lasagna which was amazing! For desert we had a banana foster type desert that was delicious, sorry I can't remember the actual name of it. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back to this place.

Mr. Big and I went for dinner last Saturday whilst staycationing at the W Midtown; I've been hearing good things and was anxious to try the place. I wondered, however, if I'd need some kind of good luck talisman as the space seems to be cursed; I have yet to see a restaurant really flourish here. Fortunately, I think the spell has been broken. Or, at least, I hope it has. We entered through an outdoor patio that I think would be lovely on which to lounge in the summer. Great people watching with all the bars and activity at the famous corner of 10th and Piedmont (not quite what it used to be in my day, but fun none the less). The inside space is open and inviting with a large bar and big front windows. We started with the mussels which were some of the best I've had. Salty, sweet, lots of rich broth and crusty bread. Not much else to say here, but get 'em. For the main, I had the cappellini with pomodoro sauce, basil, Parmesan and meatballs. I found the sauce tangy and sweet--just the way I like it. The pasta was cooked al dente--again, another win in my book. The meatballs, however, were not my favorite. I prefer them to be fried or baked first before going in the sauce so they have a caramelized crust on the outside. These did not, which makes me assume the were cooked fully in the sauce. This always sounds like a good idea, until you do it; they come out a little bland and most of the juices are drawn out resulting in a dry ball. My nana would not approve. I just ate around them and found I still couldn't finish the enormous portion of pasta itself, so this did not take away from my overall satisfaction. Big had the lemon chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed. I assume he did as nothing remained but the bones of a half game hen when he was done. He also didn't talk much during the meal which means he was too busy chewing. For dessert, we shared the banana-pecan semifreddo. This rich, creamy custard was the perfect end to the meal. Cost was very reasonable and the service was great. Besides running in to my arch nemesis from Backstreet circa 1993 (which actually didn't bother me at all since I looked much better then he), it was an absolutely delicious meal!

The Italian spot that Midtown has been missing. OK, maybe I was hoping for something a tad more casual and a tad cheaper, but the food here comes in good portions for a reasonable price. The Cioppino was quite generous with the seafood portion, and it was all cooked to perfection - and provided enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

I recently went here for brunch and left thoroughly satisfied. We started off with the French Toast which included three generous slices along with Ricotta cheese, blackberries, strawberries, and syrup. I felt like I was eating both a cheese danish and French toast at the same time, which I was very impressed with. My companion had the Campagnolo burger while I had the shrimp and polenta. The shrimp and polenta was my least favored option out of everything we tried, but it was still wonderful. I'm not a fan of beef but the Campagnolo burger was an amazing combination. Will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

I have a friend who is pretty much the pickiest eater on the planet: 1) No meat on bones 2) No tomatoes 3) No cilantro 4) No onion 5) Anything adventurous or "gourmet" -- forget it When this friend and I have dinner together, 9 times out of 10 it's for his favorite food which is Mexican fare (minus the tomatoes, cilantro, and onion, of course). For that 10th time, he's generally good with Italian. So since he was burned out on Mexican food (understandable, given the fact that he's basically a live-in at his go-to Mexi place), we decided on Italian one recent evening and found ourselves on the patio at Campagnolo on a beautiful Fall evening. After ordering a bottle of malbec to share and reading over the menu of very interesting sounding dishes (and me being curious as to what my friend would order, given his proclivities), I decided to not hold back: Arugula salad with fresh shaved parmesan and roasted pine nuts to start. Delicious -- I loved every bite, but I'm a fan of the sharp flavor of arugula. For my entree, the Pork shank with mashed potatoes. This was perfect, fall-off-the-bone delicious and the potatoes were rich and flavorful. So good. I also ordered a half plate of their gnocchi, prepared with pickled red onion and capers. For me, this was the only loser of the evening. Far too overpowering of flavors -- the picked onions dominated the dish and I could taste nothing but them with each bite. Disappointing. With the write-off on the gnocci, but the excellent salad and pork shank, a nice bottle of wine and attentive service, Campagnolo earned a solid 4 stars from me for my meal. As for my friend, as expected he steered clear of anything adventurous and went for the classic Italian stand-by: he loved his lasagna.

This place has a cute porch, but the service was...literally non-existant. They were having a mini-event on their porch, but there were no servers coming out to check on anyone. We had to go to the bar to track someone down, and even then they acted like we were imposing. I wanted to order food, but I was afraid we'd all have to go to the kitchen to serve ourselves.

For being a place that has been only open a few months, it has things down pat. Knowledgeable staff, excellent quality and ingredients and of course, a killer patio. Get the burger, one my top three ever. From NYC to Seattle. You might think to yourself, whats a paisano doin eatin a burger here? but trust me, its solid.

The food, the service and the ambience were all great. Classy but not stuffy. We all loved our entrees. I had the Ciopino, heaping with seafood in a flavorful broth -- bring your appetite for this dish! Our waiter, Kyle, was both affable and attentive. A perfectly relaxing evening.

Went here for brunch using the Scout Mob "culinary experience". What a great deal and a great restaurant. Our waiter Topher was great! I love that refills on brunch cocktails - bloody mary, mimosa, and bellini - are only $3 and you can mix and match. There is a good mix of sweet and savory on the brunch menu and a definite Italian influence. Overall great experience!

The restaurant atmosphere was nice -- we showed up unexpectedly around 7pm on a Saturday night and they were able to accommodate a party of 4 pretty quickly. The food was very tasty, but our waiter had the personality of a doorknob. Avoid Dale. He wasn't helpful at all in terms of offering suggestions, and spent minimal time at our table. Also, he must have been hard of hearing (either that or he was just rude) because when we told him we wanted to order appetizers, he walked away. He took our appetizer dish away before we were finished with it, and didn't ask... little things like that throughout the course of the evening there made me generally not impressed with the service at this place. It also seemed really odd to me that there were no dinner specials offered that evening - it was a Saturday night. But the food was tasty. The calamari was prepared in an interesting way -- in a tomato sauce, served over a piece of soggy bread. Had our waiter not been so quick to leave our table each time, we would have had time to ask questions about the offerings, but there was none of that. The Arancini was very good, especially the drizzle of sauce they were served with. For dinner, I ordered the small portion of the Capellini and it was tasty. For dessert, our party ordered a trio of things -- the bread pudding, the cheesecake, and the semifreddo, which was my favorite. With so many other Italian restaurants around, not sure I will be coming back here.

Second time there. I ordered the wrong thing, Lamb Marsala, thinking it was what I had the first time, Pork Shank. I do not like mushrooms and was immediately turned off. After taking one bite, I quickly changed my mind and ended up eating every one of the mushrooms. Twice I have been pleasantly surprised at this restaurant and I will keep coming back. After being sat it took almost 10 min before our server came over to take our drink orders. Other servers just kept walking by and no one said a word. I would give a lower rating to Campagnolo based on the poor service, but the food was so damn good!

This place has a lot of potential, but isn't hitting on all cylinders just yet. My mussels were the highlight of my meal, truly exceptional. Lasagna had all the right elements, but a bit dry. My partner and I like our food wet. Maybe some don't. The bread pudding was a miss, a big block of dry stuff. Bread pudding is my favorite dessert. It should be moist and goodgie. Maureen will make it work. We'll be back!

This restaurant actually has a shot in a location that previously seemed to be the Bermuda Triangle of Midtown. The renovations are wonderful and atmospherically sleek. We were pleased with our dining choices. My husband had the pork shank and garlic mashed potatoes. I took enough bites to stave off food envy, although I enjoyed my capellini and meatballs. Too full for dessert, but will try that next time.

I had dinner here on a Saturday night, out on the patio, which was very nice. We did check out the inside bar, which is nice, too. We actually ordered a drink there (I had the Pantheon, which they told me was like an Italian mojito - it was good). I didn't feel like pasta so I had some sides for my meal. I had the Caprese salad, which featured heirloom tomatoes in interesting shapes and colors and was very good. I also had an order of the broccoli rabe, which was very rich and had a nice flavor. It was very buttery - this is not a healthy dish. I sampled my friend's Brussels sprouts and they were really good. She also had the Orecchiete, which features their housemade sausage, and she said it was good. I have to say that I did smell the sausage (when we walked into the restaurant we could clearly smell the sausage) and it smelled wonderful. My only real complaint is that the service seems a bit frenetic and frazzled. It was almost like they were too eager to help. We were asked about our seating preference by four different people, two different bartenders took our drink orders, but when we were finally seated, our server didn't seem to notice us for about 10 minutes (he did acknowledge that he was ignoring us and sort of apologized). Our server was pretty hyped up and a little rushed and when I asked him about two different dishes to help me decide, he randomly suggested a completely different dish that was not at all similar to the ones I was considering. It was a little spacey. But, everyone was still really nice.

I want the meatball recipe! The crowd, the servers, Benny the libation creator and Maureen the hostess/owner with the mostess, all topped off with the piano bar sounds. What's not to love.

We had a fab dinner at this new midtown eatery. The pastas were flawless. The space was simple and modern, the patio is a nice place to sit and watch midtown happen. The staff is friendly... the best part, owner Maureen makes you feel welcomed, really important for a neighborhood restaurant. We also went for brunch...best part...$3 refills on Bloody Marys!

Was driving by with some friends and it was the exterior of this restaurant that made us change our dinner plans. It has an elegant look and you'll realize it's rather spacious when you step in. We had the mushroom carpaccio and mussels for starters, definitely ask for bread to dip into the sauce because it would be a waste if you don't!. Pork shank was great, the braised shank definitely retained alot of flavor, loved the bone marrow and of course.. the juicy layer of fat. Orecchiette was the best pasta we had out of the gnocchi and capellini. Well cooked, the sausage has a heavier garlic and fennel taste to it opposed to other restaurants which I really really like. Service was amazing, waiters were very attentive and efficient!

Based on other reviews I'm guessing that maybe this place can be ok. However my experience was pretty bad. The server was a bit booshee even though the food was not up to the caliber of an upscale restaurant. The manager seemed nice though. When we got our food, which was the burger and onion rings, everything was undercooked. All of the onion rings suffered from having raw batter. The burger while well done on the outside was not just rare but raw on the inside. I had ate half the burger when I realized. This is not the type of place I would go to when you want some real food.

I was cautiously optomistic about this opening after getting my hopes up and then having my feelings raped by the crapiness of 5 Napkin (still keeping my fingers crossed for that place to get the hell out of there so we can have something good). I must say, I was very impressed with Campagnolo. I had some sort of goat cheese with marinara sauce for an appitiezer. The main course was a lasagna...very impressive. Nothing was overy salty tasting like you normally can get from many Italian places. I had a glass of Malbec that complimented my meal perfectly. While the food was very good, I still wish Midtown would get a reasonably good and priced establishment. Campagnolo is a bit expensive, which is fine. I just won't find myself going back very often due to the price. All-in-all, happy to have something new and tasty to the Midtown scene!

Brunch was very tasty. We were greeted and seated with smiling faces as soon as we arrived. Best sausage & Bloody Mary I've had in a long time. You can alway tell when a resturant has a scratch kitchen. This would have been a 5 if our server wasn't overwhelmed. The service was ok but missed a few things due to maybe having too many tables. (Pet peeve not cashing tables out correctly) I would absolutely go back. Who knows maybe they were short staffed because someone called out that day. I say go check them out!

Great food--best hamburger in town. Very nice atmosphere with large patio. Service excellent-Kyle was as attentive as he was gorgeous--keep up the good work!

Delicious for both brunch and dinner. LOVE the staff!! The brussels sprouts are my absolute favorite appetizer. Love sitting outside on the patio when it's nice. They are very willing to try to accommodate a vegetarian diet, if they can.

We stopped for lunch on a Friday on our way to Dahlonega. Having lived and eaten my way through Italy for over 3 years, I am not easily impressed with 'Italian' food on this side of the Atlantic. Campagnolo was a pleasant surprise. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was clean and simple--not overcooked/seasoned. Dessert was very good as was the wine. The waiter, Dale, made excellent suggestions when asked and was friendly/professional without being intrusive. Great place!

Celebrated our honeymoon tonight at Campagnolos and had an amazing experience. The appetizer focaccia bread was delicious, the caprese salad was generous and tasty, and the pasta dish with sausage was buttery seasoned and incredible. Our server was excellent and the evening was perfect.

Went for lunch, tried their orecchiette with housemade sausage, broccoli rabe, cherry tomato and parmesan. For pasta lovers, this is a very complete dish...not a big fan of sausage but I wanted to try since they mentioned a fennel kick into it. I don't think I would order again the same dish, but my co-worker tried their Caserecci and those were awesome. The restaurant is very nice, clean and modern. Service was excellent.

Campagnolo is the newest addition to the heart of midtown. The only other successful restaurant to grace this space was Big Red Tomato. I have already had brunch, lunch, and dinner here. Not once was I disappointed. I had the French toast for brunch. For lunch I had the mista salad, smoked tomato bisque, and the orecchiette pasta with the house made sausage fresh tomatoes and broccoli rabe. For dinner Bob and I shared the black cod wrapped in cabbage and the Georgia Trout with braised fennel and shared a small portion of the capellini pasta. Dessert I highly recommend the cookies with semifreddo. The wine list is very reasonably priced and they make some specialty drinks that are really good one is made with limoncello. The decor is all new. They really gutted this place and gave it the much needed facelift it deserves. Atmosphere is also great. While eating Maureen one of the owners stopped by to check on us. I feel the curse has finally been lifted off this space and it could happen to a finer restaurant. Just remember the most important thing you as a diner can do is support local business.

Cant ever seem to go wrong here. Since it opened I've liked this place. It has consistently impressed and delivered. Good service, good atmosphere, and great food for a reasonable price.

Spring vegetable risotto was delicious - perfect balance of cheese and lots of vegetables without being too overbearing. The fettuccine left a little to be desired. It felt like the Alfredo sauce was too thin or it wasn't given enough time to set. Perhaps a bit more cheese in the sauce would've helped.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS NEW PLACE. HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES AND IT SEEMS TO BE THE NEW PLACE TO BE SEEN IN THE MIDTOWN VILLAGE. I have had several dishes and everything is five stars! Also great that it is next to The Pet Set my favorite pet shop.

I'd recommend this yummy restaurant for small groups or couples. Why? Because if you're with a group, you won't be able to converse. It's an annoyingly loud interior...one of those places you can only talk to the person sitting next to you (the person across the table couldn't hear me unless I screamed!). Don't know about the patio, I would imagine that is better for conversation (and provides great people-watching). Service was slow, too. But the food was fantastic! Our group ordered a wide variety of dishes and we were all surprised by the large portions and excellent spicing.

I've been here 3 times. Twice for brunch (most recently today), once for dinner. I love this restaurant! Today I must admit the service was a smidge slow, but everyone was very friendly and wonderful. The food is amazing. The patio is wonderful (we haven't eaten indoors yet). $5 mimosas with $3 refills are a great thing. The food is delicious. One (small) pasta dish I ordered was so large that it wound up being 3 meals (the original plus leftovers for my boyfriend and me). The Brussels sprouts are scrumptious. My friends and I are already regulars - how can you not be with such great food? Warning: the menu is not huge, but it is very well-executed. :)

I went to Campagnolo for Brunch over the weekend and it was outstanding! I loved the decor of the restaurant. The mirrors were beautiful. The restaurant was nice and fairly quiet without being too quiet. I ordered the Campagnolo breakfast which included eggs, maple meatballs, polenta, and some sort of delicious homemade bread. I don't think I left a crumb on my plate. The meatballs and the polenta were so flavorful and yummy! I don't know what kind of bread it was, but it tasted like someone's Italian grandmother pulled it out of the oven within five minutes of it landing on my plate. They had a great deal on drinks, your choice of a bellini, mimosa, or bloody mary for $5 with $3 refills. I had the Bellini, which was made with apricot nectar, and it was refreshing and yummy. My date got the sausage fritatta and a mimosa, which I stole a bite and a sip of respectively. The fritatta was awesome! The mimosa was good, but my bellini was better ;) Overall, I loved everything about this restaurant, especially the fact that it is so close to my house. I look forward to trying it for dinner sometime soon!

It never fails to amaze me how people wait for lengths of time to grab a bite at Flying Biscuit for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays when there is a fabulous restaurant that could seat them more efficiently just a few doors down. We've been coming to Campagnolo since they opened and have always had a great meal. The wine list is good and very reasonably priced. Service has always been great. And the food is tasty and dependable. Granted we come here almost exclusively for lunch or brunch, but I feel compelled to review because I think people are missing quite a gem. I love having a great Italian restaurant within walking distance!!

My friend and I went for lunch. As soon as we stepped inside, we were surprised at the interior - does not look like much from the outside, but the inside is perfectly decorated. Simple, tasteful, and elegant. I ordered one of the fritattas - definitely unique and tasteful. My friend ordered the fettecini (sp?) and it was delicious. Service was a little slow at first, but overall a great experience. Would love to go back at dinner to see what else is on the menu.

The best new restaurant to open in Atlanta in several years. From the Peasant family, an institution in Atlanta, so you know it is going to be good! I have been three times so far, and must say the brunch is the absolute best time to go! Food was exquisite (the eggs benedict one of the best in Atlanta), and the drinks were excellent. $5 bloody marys, bellinis, and mimosas, with $3 refills can't be beat...and the bloody mary is one of my favorites in Atlanta. The atmosphere was fantastic. The service was superb (not to mention attractive). The owner/management greet every patron. Very relaxed environment, and the patio is in a fantastic location with a view of the busiest people-watching intersection in midtown. Run, don't walk to Campagnolo!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
