This place was crazy. The crowd here seemed endless, and it was 2 AM. There was no cover charge when I went here this past Saturday night with friends after a private event in the area. It seemed like the fun never ends here at this part of town. :) The inside had the typical dark bar scene. This place was pretty big too. There was a huge outside patio area that had twinkling lights. :) Both areas had a vibrant crowd. This place definitely is a perfect place to dance your heart out. I would love to visit this place again in the day time and see the difference in atmosphere and perhaps grab a bit to eat too. Until we meet again Buckhead Saloon.

This place had the kind of bartenders that are there for you to look at. They probably don't know much about pouring drinks until they get hired. My guess is the hiring manager is a guy who likes to have fun. Or who has a wife who doesn't like him. Or maybe both. Or neither. I don't know. Basically you are supposed to ogle the bartenders and tip them better. I think that's this bar. It was about a month ago. I could be wrong. Buckhead. The Beverly Hills of the south.

Went to Buckhead Saloon to watch the UGA game. They had a great set up outside with lots of tvs and several different games going. Inside the bar itself is huge! Beer specials were good-- $15 for a bucket of domestics. Lots of fun & a great place to get together and watch games with tons of other young alumni!

Welcome Yelpers. Glad to grace you with my review on the Saloon. I would like to say that I enjoyed my time at this location. Attentive staff. Food was good, parking is limited in the back. Cheap prices on pitchers of Beer - I can roll with that. Inside, the venue is like your regular bar. Pool tables, dart tables for gaming. Outside with a patio setting with flat screen televisions and fresh Buckhead air hitting your face. Ha Ha, ok yeah well I put a little bit of accessories on it trying to paint the picture but I hope you get my point. I think it was cool, location is outstanding in the heart of Buckhead. Live music can be heard here (more rhythm & blues) or depending where you are mentality wise - the blues. Atmosphere is definitely more "Old School" style but don't go streaking down Peachtree after a wild night - ya dig?! Cool place, will go back and if they impress or disappoint - an update will be necessary for sure. You know how I get down on these reviews Yelp! :) Grade: C

As noted in other reviews, the dress code is enforced in a completely subjective and illogical manner. We've all seen the type of attire that is meant to be banned when a business says "No Baggy or Sagging Jeans" but I assure you, our friend was dressed appropriately from head to toe. The bouncer was clearly hot tempered and did not want to hear any of us question his judgment, so naturally I asked to speak with the manager. I had one question - do you support this bouncer making this type of judgment on behalf of the business, when the bartenders are standing around bc there aren't enough customers to serve? He says he trusts him completely and there's nothing he can do about it. (Really? You're the manager.) The point of the bouncer is to make sure no one enters the establishment who might disrupt the QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE for everyone. Why does a business care about the quality of experience? Because it is profitable. Refusing entry to a non-offensively dressed career man in his 30s is not good for business, especially because of the deeper racial discrimination associated with this scenario... Did I mention he's black? I didn't have to because all of you know this would never happen to a white man. If I were the business owner, I'd be livid that a mere bouncer was toying with my profits. Bottom line is, not one person in that entire bar would have been offended by our friend's attire. He had a casual button up shirt, straight leg jeans that he happened to adjust as he was walking up. Some people in the south are still living in a bubble that's been burst long ago. The ppl you don't want in your bar don't hang out in Buckhead to begin with! Also, when we asked the bouncer for his name, he refused. We weren't being rude or using profanity, just wanted a better explanation. Not sure why, but the bouncer called us ignorant and then proceeded to shove our other friend off the property (which I'm pretty sure is illegal when no physical contact was initiated by my friend). If anyone was disrupting the quality of experience, it most definitely was the unnamed bouncer, his fellow bouncer friend, and the manager working that night - who all collectively represent the business of Buckhead Saloon. As a group we spent about $300 on drinks that night, and we were literally forced to take our business elsewhere. SMH.

Ben and Todd are awesome bouncers. Fun place to grab food and drinks. Way better than the taco place next door

Good location, great bar, but $14 pitchers of Bud Light? Come on. Get it right. It also doesn't help when the service is spotty for weekend kickball. Chad, thank you for your response. For the most part, the service has been fine the times I've come back since writing that review.

Fun "saloon", huge college bar, with fun arcade games. The bartenders are really nice, and attentive! If you're ok with being around college kids, then it's an ok spot to go to. Not crowded, and nice outdoor patio / seating. Drinks are reasonably priced.

I'm surprised how few reviews this place has considering how large it is and how many people were here. My friend and I arrived here on a Thursday night and were seated in their lovely patio which has a wonderful view of some of the Atlanta city line. They have a live band playing around 9pm. It was very relaxing to either be able to listen to that or watch one of the football or baseball games broadcasted on multiple TV screens. This is the ultimate sports hangout. Thursday is wings night so we ordered 3 plates of wings with the option of extra crispy, nachos, and a drink for a total of $22. The service is fantastic so no complaints here.

I love this place! It's very casual and the food is surprisingly good! I went there for the first time to eat, not only drink, and was pleasantly surprised! I had the Chicken Philly hoagie with a side salad. I was honestly impressed by the salad itself considering the dressing was already mixed into it! Nice! I usually come here for casual drinks on a Friday or Saturday night and I've loved it every time! The music is on par! They play a good mix of everything including NSYNC (last time I was there). They also have $5 Valet parking so when it's cold outside, you don't need to walk miles to your car (that's definitely a plus in my book). WARNING: DO NOT SIT NEAR THE DJ BOOTH! (unless you want a nice ringing sound in your ears for days)

I won't be coming back to this place ever again. My friend had on nice Timberland boots, ones that are clearly worn with nice clothes, and the Tommy Tough nut bouncer looks him up and down and says that his boots were "work boots" and didn't meet their dress code. He says this WHILE HE himself is wearing some old cowboy boots that looked like they'd been stepped in shit multiple times. I made that obvious to him and he was so quick to fire back and say that he doesn't go into the bar so he can wear whatever he wants while he's working (clearly trying to be Mr. Authority during this) and that he determines who and who cannot enter. This all goes down with who looked like to be a manager of the bar standing right there...who initially was going to let us in, but since we made a scene trying to argue about the outrageous judgment from the bouncer, he told us to leave because of the "attitude" we were giving them. It was absolutely unbelievable. Since when do bars hold a dress standard for the people they let in but ignore it for the people they employ? That makes no sense to me... Which is exactly what the managers of Buckhead Saloon have none of.

Impossibly loud and impossibly crowded with frat boys, a lot of nice looking women and (mostly) wanna-be's. We stopped here only because a twenty-something in the group claimed to be a high school classmate of one of the band members. Saw people eating, ergo, there must be food served . . . we were on our way to a more age-appropriate dinner reservation. There was a time when Buckhead Saloon might have been a favorite place to hang, but a ten minute stop here reminded me why I'm gladly over it.

I frequent Buckhead Saloon with co-workers, friends & family; and have been a loyal customer for the past 5 years. Time and time again I've received great service and good food which is one of the main reasons why I am writing you this letter. On Wednesday, March 11, 2015 I placed a to go order at your establishment and your staff went above and beyond with providing awful customer service. Instead of ordering my normal buffalo shrimp wrap w/ side, I placed a telephone order for -just two buffalo shrimp wraps one for my girlfriend and I. The bar tender taking the ordered seemed flustered during the time of the order and said she could adjust the bill by $4.00 (unsure if the adjustment would apply to the total bill or per wrap) since we were ordering wraps only. Without notification the Manger (Joshua) picked up the phone and said she's new and he could not honor the adjustment the bartender offered. When I arrived to Buckhead Saloon; I am certain I have seen the bar tender that took my order, working at your establishment for some time now. I advised the manager; I was the young lady he was speaking with over the phone and he had such a discourteous attitude. At this time there was only about six people visible in the restaurant; but if you have cameras near the bar area, you will most defiantly be able to observer his and her body language. When the bartender passed by, I asked her was she the lady who took my order and her arms went up in a disrespectful manner and her response was she has nothing to do with it -very rudely! The manager then began to go back and forth arguing with my girlfriend about something as petty as a $4.00 adjustment on the bill that I was initially assured to receive by a member of staff. I asked the bar Manager for the name of the Manger of the Buckhead Saloon "his response was there was no one else". Then I asked "who does he report to?" His response was "he reports directly to the owner he is the manager". Now usually there is a chain of command working in the restaurant industry and I am not sure if he was honest or not. I wanted to inform you of this situation because I was astonished with his cavalier and argumentative behavior as a manger. Ultimately, I can't be disappointed with his staff, after all a leader is to lead by example. Overall, I am very dissatisfied at the conduct and unpleasant service at your establishment. I hope you will review this matter and make sure an incident of this nature is not repeated. Your company has been known to provide good services, and such events tarnish the company name, so please address this issue soon.

Buckhead Saloon uses the same building that used to house Rio Grande. I went this past Friday and valet and cover were $5 each. Fun 90s cover band was playing inside and everyone on the dance floor seemed to be having a good time. Inside of the bar is moderately sized. Buckhead Saloon's best feature is their spacious outdoor patio with plenty of tables and seating, so it can be nice to get away from the loudness inside and chill on the patio. There's also a small bar outside. Several TVs inside playing sports. Crowd the night I went were mostly 20-somethings.

White drunk college kids central! Ughh this place sucks! Crap food, even worse service and non-alcoholic alcoholic drinks? No thank you. I seriously would try my best to steer anyone that wants to go here the other direction.

If you have a palate and like food that was well made, then lower your expectations upon ordering. I saw a friend consuming what seemed a delicious pasta and salmon dinner so I asked for it. I told my super nice server I wanted it med-rare and I am sure she did tell the kitchen but it was not done as requested. Sent back, got it right, then, upon my first bites of pasta, had to search for the salt and the pepper, and had to use it a lot. And I had no choice here, unless I tossed the entire thing out. Vegs were assassinated in a pot. Will someone explain the kitchen about crunch in a bite? Had to remind myself I was there for the live music, not the food. The place is clean, I have to give them that. Downside: Bathroom attendant. I can assist myself, thank you! The patio is amazing, but remember it is Buckhead, not SoBe, so you are going to be looking at buildings, cars, pedestrian, eventually, very drunk pedestrians, and lots of police cars and such. Pet friendly patio. Huge outdoor TVs. Lots of douches, and yes, Affliction, flipped polo shirts, flashy but shitty jewelry on men and what I like to call "prosta-tots" (Young girls dressed and acting as sluts)

Decent bar, but if they know they have a regular crowd with alumni groups coming to watch football, you would think they would have good service. Every time I've been here (3 times now) for football the service has SUCKED!! Stay away unless your alumni group has their watch parties here and you must go. Also, be prepared to pay for valet parking with no discount on your food or parking validation.

6 of the 10 reviews from this year have been one star ratings (not including this one). The other four reviews are nothing to brag about. There's nothing I can say about this place that hasn't already been said. My boyfriend and some of our friends were turned away for not wearing skinny jeans. He was most certainly not "sagging". They were relaxed fit Levi's. I know because I bought them. Anyway, if you don't want your night tainted, avoid this place like the plague. Having African-American staff doesn't mean you don't discriminate. We'll be taking our business elsewhere.

Lively place, all different kinds of people were there. The bathroom attendants were awesome. The bartender was cool but was lacking some knowledge for the cocktails we asked for. We were able to find a nice place to sit on the patio outside even though it was pretty crowded. Also the back area had some pretty sweet leather couches to chill and watch sports.

Bartender liquor pour was awful... everything tasted like juice. My friends and I even order extra shots to pour over in our drinks... atleast 3 rounds. Obviously the bar manager didn't like that we complained, (Amongst ourselves) that he gave us the nastiest, rudest attitude EVER . Even threw his business card at me, yelling and screaming that he was the back manager and he trained her and we could leave.... Mind you, he never served us one drink.... he basically over heard our conversation and came to kick us out. Even got a security guard!! Even though we paid for EACH AND EVERY drink, food, extra shots while tipping the bartender... We have My friends and I are all females 5'5" 125 lbs and LESS. We don't appear as a threat, at all. We were not rude to anyone. The manager on duty got involved and he was an asshole as while... Standing by actions his prick'ish coworker. I walked out in tears. In conclusion, I felt that Buckhead Saloon is very racist and doesn't like black people. (check other reviews) They ruin our entire day and experience along with the embarrassment they caused. I would never go back and I will never advise any person of color to visit this establishment. Regardless of how much money you spend or tip, YOUR MONEY AND "YOUR KIND" ISN'T WELCOME... Its 2014, get over it.

Ok place. Mostly like a bar than a bar &restaurant. You have to go looking for waitress rather than them looking for tables, as they are mostly busy with talking to people on other tables (not for service but for entertainment and forever)...

This is probably, by far, the largest of the bars along the Buckhead strip. By day, it's a restaurant. Buckhead Saloon was PACKED out! There are primarily three areas to hang out in. The main room is where they play the music and where most people hang out, and get this -- people DANCE! Unlike some other places. There was another area by the bar, with high tops and plenty of seating if you get tired. Outside, there was a covered patio area with a guy grilling hotdogs from a converted engine. Cool, right? Burnt to a crisp but I guess highly inebriated people don't care much. All the bartenders were dressed up as Waldo; I didn't pick up that there would be a theme of the night lol. No cover when we came.

Buckhead saloon is very hit or miss for me. Crowds come and go, just like everywhere else in the finicky Buckhead bar scene. It's usually more of a weeknight thing for me because they run good specials. They have a decent sized crowd on Tuesdays, which can be hard to come by in Atlanta. They also have a fairly large crowd on Thursdays for 25 cent wings. The wings are not the best, but they are the best wings I've ever had for a quarter each. On weekends it gets busier. They clear out some of the tables that get used during the week and use the space for a larger dance floor. Sometimes they have DJs or just local bands playing on their little stage. If you feel like getting away from the noise there are really comfortable couches in a room to the right, or you can step outside. Buckhead Saloon has a huge patio, and I love sitting outside in the Summer because you can watch all of the drunk people milling around and walking to the dive-y bars on Roswell across the street. The bar is large, but people tend to crowd around it so it can take a while to get a drink sometimes. Paid valet parking on weeknights is a joke. I always just park on a side street on the other side of Roswell just a little bit farther north. It'll save you 5 bucks, or 20 hot wings on a Thursday.

Will never go in here again. The bouncers are racist and I pull that card often. I have seen them let some in and not others work waterdowned reasons. Plus the dj isn't that great.

This racist piece of crap bar, being turned around tonight because I had on brand new timberland casual boots is beyond insane. In fact seeing 3 other (Caucasian) males walk in with the same boots on really got me hot. I was looking forward to a nice experience here with 15 of my friends glad to say we will not be going there ever and they will definitely spread the word to their friends. Thanks a lot security staff!!!

3 Stars?? 3 Stars?? 10 stars if I could!!!! This place rocks. Chad took care of us, as usual. He is the best bartender around. My husband and I always experience great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. The food is ALWAYS fresh!! We LOVE this place. Keep up the great work!

Well, color me happy!! Buckhead Saloon is back!! But it's not the same divey-ish, peanut shells-on-the-floor-vibe kinda place of yesteryear. Nope, the former Rio Grande space that is now home to the new Buckhead Saloon sports nice hardwood floors, a gussied-up vibe inside, and a side room with large, super comfy leather sofas and an open fireplace. Nice! They also have a really good menu. We went for dinner on Friday night and, surprise surprise, sat at the bar. Great attention from bartender Matt and he was helpful with his suggestions and descriptions of various menu items. We went with the BBQ pork sliders - OH. EMMM. GEEE. So tasty!! Tender, juicy pork, fluffy little buns, these babies were just right! They come with coleslaw* and what The Boy says are some of the best onion rings he's ever had (Matt had told him this was the case so this was part of what sold us on the sliders, him being able to try the rings). Next time, I really want to try the fried goat cheese salad, and the fried tilapia tacos also sound good. Overall, seems like a good addition to the 'hood - I shall return!! * Coleslaw was totally yucksville. Even the bartenders agreed. Toward the end of our dinner, one of the barbacks came over and said he'd mentioned The Boy's thoughts on it to the chef and the chef wanted him to know that there'd be a new version soon. So, while it was icky on first visit, at least an improvement is on the horizon!

The fact my boyfriend wasn't allowed in when they weren't busy on a Friday night because he had $200 dollar timberlands on was beyond insane and I will not be going back. Horrible his shoes cost more than the securities 1989 nikes. Do they want people to spend money or not.. Guess not

Frattastic! If you enjoy extremely loud and smelly men who are drinking Bud Lite like a fish and doing tequila shots every 30 seconds while conveniently knowing and belting out all the words to various top 40 and hip-hop songs....then yeah this is the place for you. The floor is sticky, the girls are plastic, the men are douchetastic. Parking sucks. I was surprised to learn that they charge cover on some nights, but it makes sense as they have to support the cover band belting out Katy Perry songs.

If you like wings, beer, and football this is the place for you, especially on a Thursday night when the wings are 25 cents each, but must order in increments of 10. If the weather is nice sit outside, they have TVs out there as well! Service is a little slow, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, but every time I have been they were really busy! Other perks: pool table inside, large bar. Downside: $5 valet parking

I'm really not that picky, but WOW was this place mediocre. I went for trivia, and while the questions were fine, the quizmaster was awfully full of himself and uninterested in hosting. Our waitress came by our table about once every 30 minutes, despite the fact that the place was mostly empty. We ended up taking our check up to the bar because she took so long. The second star is for the manager turning on big 10 network for us! When I asked if the spinach and artichoke dip was vegetarian, our waitress looked at me like I was crazy, said, "Well, I would think so," and didn't even offer to check! I ordered onion rings instead, and got 8 (over-salted) onion rings for $8. Seriously? An onion costs maybe $1. You're going to give me less than a whole onion for $8?! $2 draughts on Weds, though. No complaints about cheap (non-PBR) from me!

I have only been here a few times and its usually for big events. My most recent visit was for St. Patrick's day this year and man was the place crowded. To my amazement getting a drink at the bar was pretty easy and our table service for food and drinks was quick. Parking can be a real pain down here and that is why I am leaving the 5th star out. Of course parking in Buckhead is a pain in the butt everywhere.

My best friends live within walking distance of Buckhead Saloon so we come here A LOT - whether to go out or to grab dinner before going out. Thursday night is 25 cent wing night with wings sold in multiples of 5 - the wings are large, juicy, and delicious.. you will often see college football players here on thursday nights with mounds and mounds of wings... service is kind of slow for how empty the place is but there are usually drink specials so what's the hurry? Some Thursdays around 10 pm, some random live music will take the stage - ive been here for a reggae band (odd... i know) and a few jam bands - but this is definitely not the destination for where you would want to go out on a Thursday night - definitely only the wings and beer pre-party Regular meals here are great - when it's nice out, you can sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy a nice bar food type meal before going out in buckhead - notable items include their fish tacos, and their fries... if you think about it, if you are definitely going out in buckhead for the night and want to start drinking at dinner w/o having to worry about driving to go to the bars after, this is really the best place to go... sure there is a bbq place and a few other nicer restaurants in the area but everywhere else is either too expensive/nice to really be the beginning to a rowdy night out, too crowded, or too dirty... plus, if you drove.. you can leave your car overnight at buckhead saloon On the weekends, I wouldn't say it's particularly a destination bar to go to but if you are bar-hopping it is worth a stop b/c it's still fun (usually has a fun jam band or DJ) and is a little less crowded than 5P or kramer's So maybe 4 stars might be a little high for a bar that is not particularly standout with bar food that is good but not phenomenal, but Buckhead Saloon has done me solid as of yet.

I like this place because of the atmosphere and the drinks aren't that expensive. It generally is filled with young attractive people which is a good thing IMO. I have never eaten food here so I can't speak to that. It is very close to other bars so you can hop if you get bored. I got dragged to a match.com date with my friend here once. I wouldn't really recommend it for a first date unless you enjoy screaming at someone seated directly across from you over the loud music. Yes you have to pay for parking, but it's in an area where everyone charges for parking so you kind of have to get over it. If you want free parking go to Tavern 99 first and walk. Once at Buckhead Saloon I noticed that the girl tending bar hopped up on the bar so that 3 guys could take turns doing shots out of her cleavage. I thought that was a little raunchy but whatever.

I usually love this place and I have two experiences (good and bad) I'd like to share. The positive: while playing that punching game (where you put in a few bucks and see how high you can get the score up to based upon how hard you hit the punching bag) i took off my fairly nice watch and set it down on the window sill, and of course ended up leaving it there when we quit playing. The manager was nice enough to find it, put it in their office, and return it to me when I realized I left it sitting there a few hours later and asked if anyone had turned it in. VERY unexpected. I applauded them after this happened. The negative: while out with a group of friends recently on a Saturday night (two asian guys, a black guy and girl, and two white guys total), we were refused entry due to baggy pants. More specifically, the black guy was told his pants were too baggy even though his were tighter than mine were (mine were pretty form-fitting). He was in a button up untucked shirt, tennis shoes, and was sober. Certainly folks hear this excuse a lot, but as a former bar employee of almost a decade who enforced a dress code at the door of a nightclub, this was pretty clearly NOT the real reason he was denied entry. After the usual back and forth without the door guys, we stepped back into the parking lot (in disbelief, might I add) and I then watched the door guys refuse entry to a total of 2 more black people who were in line trying to get in. Not sure of the reason given, but it was pretty obvious what was going on. I understand its a private establishment, but being that I'm at this place 2x a week, this came out of left field for me. Very disappointed, and I don't blame the guys at the door...I blame management and the owner(s) for this clear policy change. As I mentioned, I'm a former bar employee so that part of me understands what ya'll are trying to do, but the "bad element" that you're most likely trying to keep out can come in any color...not just black. Maybe use a little more discretion and common sense for your door staff next time. We were sober, reasonably dressed, and wanting to visit this establishment for a few drinks...not selling or using drugs, starting fights, or harassing the staff in any way. I hope you guys can take my feedback and continue to keep this place cool without risking being labeled as "racist". Just my two cents.

I went here with a bunch of co-workers after a work party on Thursday night (when in Rome...), and it was just so-so. $5 valet is a joke- I'm not likely to return to a bar where I have to pay for parking. The place wasn't that busy for a Thursday night, but there was a DJ, so that was fun. There was plenty of space to dance, or if you're looking for something low-key, there are plenty of tables on the patio. We got our drinks right away and I wanted to order food, but our server told us that the kitchen was closed. I think that I just missed the cut-off because there were definitely a couple of tables around us still getting their food. Needless to say, I definitely ate dinner at Johnny's- I never thought that day would come- but that's another story for another day. Overall, there are a lot of bars in the area similar to Buckhead Saloon. I like their patio, but I also like going to places where I don't have to pay for parking or cover, so I'm up in the air on this one.

I'm so glad the best patio in Buckhead is back in action! The parking is still annoyingly $5 and you'd better get your keys before it gets too late or you'll be begging the cleaning crew to hand them over in the AM (experience). The scene indoors has changed a little but it feels familiar. The layout is the same with the only real change being the expanded dance floor and the band in the back. Great tunes that seemed to keep the vibe going late into the night but the singer was a little different.... some kind of rapper Cowboy? Everyone and their grandmother seems to be showing up right now; which will eventually be the majority is still a toss up. I'm looking forward to more good times here and to trying out the eats.

This place needs to work on a lot if it wants to maintain some type of longevity. Considering that the entire area is filled with bars, some of which just closed down, that should give the owners a hint that they need to step their game up. The food menu was nothing fantastic. Their drinks were not strong and the patio was in disarray, Plus, the stifler, with all the ample space in the back, they actually charge patrons to park their cars. I think they should pay people to come here seriously.

Alright folks, let's take a deep breath for a second... First of all, you need to sit your butt back on the comfortably covered patio at this fine establishment and have yourself a Sam Adams seasonal that your sweet waitress (i.e. Cari from Iowa whom sat with us shooting the shit for about 30 minutes) fills up on the dime. Oh wait, it's getting chilly outside? Just wait a few moments until the owner Bart gets that sweet fire tube behind you lit up in t-minus 3 seconds (and the metal grates won't even burn you of you stumble alongside). And that's not all... Eat the mini corndawgs (go dawgs). If you don't like them you can personally message me and I'll buy them for you (Obama's America!!). Our waitress, Cari, gave us a free sample before we bought them. Lonnnnng story short, go to Buckhead Saloon. All the TVs you need to watch your favorite college or NFL team and if they aren't on the management will gladly change the channel for you. This is a great bar. I literally have been here for 5 hours today. For the love of God, come here NOW!!!!!!!!!!

The Band was the best part of this Classic Atlanta bar returning to the scene. It did get annoying when they kept yelling "F*** Yeah" & "Hell Yeah" but other than that they played a great set. The place was packed out and the Bar was three deep to order a drink. The Laser Spectacular show can go in my opinion but some (really drunk) seemed to enjoy it. The cover charge after 10:30 is $5pp so bring cash and when you pay you get a ticket for a free shot (which was flavored vodka or jager). We just went for drinks so I will have to give the food a chance on my next visit. Oh yeah, and remember to bring at least $10 cash ($5 for parking and $5 for cover). Over all we had a great time and I look forward to going again.

This place is always a hit or miss for me with it being more on the miss side lately. I wouldn't say there exists a certain type of clientele that is usually around and it's unpredictable what kind of night you'll have there. Drinks are decently priced but lately my friends and I have been pretty bored. It's a good place to people watch but unless you're into watching college kids who just turned 21 get hammered week after week, keep on stepping.

When friends suggested Buckhead Saloon as our post-comedy show destination for the night, I had no idea what they were talking about.. I had no idea that Rio Grande was gone! We had a great time though. The large patio is great for drinks outside, and the bartenders were very nice and helpful. The DJ was fun too, and put up with our nonstop song requests. Overall, we had a great time. I think this is a place I will go to every couple of months.. more than that would probably be too much!

Ok for what it is. Food so-so. Bad service. When you have a patio as large as they do you really need to have at least one server out there at all times but there were many times that there were no servers for 15-20mins at a time. They change there policy on pitchers on a whim. I was there a couple of weekends ago and they served pitchers but last weekend they said they don't serve pitchers on weekends when I said that they have before our waitress went to check and said that they didn't this weekend but could give no reason. WTF?

Upon walking in Buckhead Saloon, you know it is the type of place that gets crazy on Friday and Saturday nights. Good live music, dancing and otherwise crowded drinking. The crowd is young and what you would expect when happy hour and spring break meet. The food is good if you are hungry, but if you are looking for a restaurant maybe look somewhere else. Valet will charge you 5 bucks too.

Racist.....I sat there and watched the bouncer think of every excuse in the books to turn away all the black men in the line and kindly walk the whites in. My boyfriend was turned away for having "baggy jeans" ( it's 2014 what grown man wears baggy jeans) however the bouncers jeans were torn and touching the ground. Racist racist racist, good luck coming here if you are a minority. Before this moment I used to come in all the time in college and give them business, I guess the filter on managements eyes changed. Ha! Racism still exists

There are certain restaurants in Atlanta that you only go to when the weather is warm. Buckhead Saloon is definitely one of those. They have a huge patio and my French Bulldog Madeline should get to enjoy outdoor happy hour just as much me. When the weather is warm, their patio is packed. It's $5 valet (so annoying an unnecessary here). It's casual and fun for all. Their bar food is surprisingly good. The service has always been subpar, yet very friendly. For example, it took our server over an hour to deliver the nachos we ordered recently. I'm still trying to comprehend how that was possible, but hey it was great weather while we waiting and she was super nice when she finally delivered the nachos. Sometimes they have fun local cover bands, so that's kinda fun. Nothing here is spectacular, and I am pretty sure I would never go in the winter, but when the weather is warm consider me a fan.

Drinks are cheap, music is random, but an awesome place to finish a drunken night. Why?? Because everyone is just as drunk as you and you can dance like there is no tomorrow. In addition, you can unleash the inner sexy stripper alter ego. So ladies and gents, take additional shots of liquid courage and seduce the pole. Then take a couple of more shots so you don't remember too much the next morning. Enjoy!!

Very racist bar ,went to join fellow friends for after work . We all wore similar attire since we worked together yet I was the only one not allowed entry. Well within the dress code for the crowd yet the bouncer denied me entry. No reason at all to get denied but was turned around . Please don't spend or waste your money here !!!! Never have I seen so much RACISM in my life . I'm sure the GM will reply with some sorry excuse for his security and how they trust in there staff due to blah blah B.S.

Just moved from NYC, I was supposed to be meeting friends here at this establishment. I was turned away at the door. They said my pants were sagging. It was clearly a lie as I wear 31 waist 30 length pants. The gentleman took a half of second looking at me after the first gentleman let me pass after glancing at my ID. Afterwards one of the guest there along with one of my friends said they didn't let me in because I was black. I asked the gentleman if I could adjust my pants to their "standard" and he told me no, goodbyeeeee. I was so embarrassed. You guys lost a great guest.

I would give the place no stars if it were possible. Buckhead Saloon has extremely discriminatory entrance policies. I don't frequent Buckhead for these very reasons: rude staff and a demographic of entitled, disrespectful frat boys who clearly can't handle their liquor. I watched every black male in line get denied entry for "sagging" or "baggy" jeans. They were all in button downs and fitted dress pants. When I asked the bouncer for an explanation he simply replied, "we are allowed to turn away anyone we choose." This goes to show you that even in 2015 racism is still very much alive, and as an attractive young white female I will never step foot into this bar again. Get a grip!

The service was so bad it got to be comical. We sat forever at a table we had to clean ourself before a wait person even came to help us. It took about 20 minutes to get a beer after we ordered it. Even after flagging the wait person over to the table. The dinner we ordered came out one item at a time and we a table of 6. A cheese burger took 45 minutes to come out. It was the wrong order. It took another 30 minutes to get the correct order. This the whole time after flagging the wait person down several times. Had to get our own silver ware as well. I could go on but it just got funnier. The bathrooms were embarrassing as well. Disgusting. Hi chad The date we were there was the 5th of September. Thanks for your attention to this. I will definitely give it another chance. I know that sometimes there are off days.

Good location, great bar, but $14 pitchers of Bud Light? Come on. Get it right. It also doesn't help when the service is spotty for weekend kickball. Chad, thank you for your response. For the most part, the service has been fine the times I've come back since writing that review.

SMH.

Ok it's Memorial Day weekend. No one is in town. The parking lot is empty yet they feel they can charge $5 for parking. Just be happy we are spending $ at the bar.

Ehh maybe I'll give this place another try. But my experience here was not the best. Good music. Okay drinks. Rude staff. College drunk frat guys everywhere.

Guess not

Music is alright. They play house. Crowd is weird. Awesome bartenders. Not my cup of of tea.
