I am a fan! I have been to the location in Buckhead around 4 times to date. The taste of the food has consistently been amazing. I must warn that If you are not a fan of spicy, don't bother. Some of my favorites include the Shrimp Bhojanic, Tandoori garlic naan, and the spinach with indian cheese ( I don't know the official name for this one). I can't wait to return, as my taste buds thank me once I visit here!

Bhojanic is excellent Americanized Indian food. Don't come here if you want something authentic, but appreciate it for what it is. Hardly anything on the menu is spicy and selections are limited to dishes that cater well to someone who is making their entry into Indian cousine. I will be returning here without a question.

Very nice Indian fusion restaurant. I enjoyed their Samosas and the Pani Puri was quite exceptional. It was a very clean and modern atmosphere, that was inviting. I enjoyed how comfortable the dining room was. My only issue though was the service . . . I think maybe we just got a less than stellar waitress, because the table next to us had incredible service. In contrast our's was dogged . . . and at times left us wondering where our waitress went. We waited almost 15 minutes from her getting us water to her taking our drink order. Upon finishing the meal, we were waiting another 10 minutes as other employees walked by. Luckily the hostess noticed and got us our bill. All to it all, the food was good and I would go back there again for the food, but the service, well maybe next time it will be better . . . I hope.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful for romantic night out. Waitstaff is friendly, courteous and helpful but there is a lot of lag time on stuff like waiting for water, napkins, to be acknowledged when first seated etc. That said - a wonderful meal over all. Started with Chicken 65 - highly recommended. Perfect balance of heat, savory, spice and chicken was tender. Pickled vegetables are great - always a favorite. Tikka Masala was not the best I've had but pretty great. Little wife had the Chicken Biryani, which she seemed pleased with and I thought was very good. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back!

The best Indian food in Atlanta served in a modern, elegant, contemporary ambience by professional servers well versed in Indian cuisine. They have a great drink menu and in my opinion are the benchmark for Indian cuisine in Atlanta!

It is okay. I love salt yet my paneer appetizer was SO salty that I could only finish two bites. The food was authentically spiced but not as flavorful as the more ethnic and much cheaper places in town that I frequent around India town in Decatur. My husband, who is from Mumbai, was not impressed with the food. You pay for the atmosphere, which is gorgeous.

Great food! The quality of food has been consistently good. Im vegetarian, I love the saag paneer, kadhi pakoda at bhojanic. And the tawa parathas are excellent, just like home made. I am a frequent customer here. Will highly recommend bhojanic if you want the eat good indian food. There is a saffron mango cheese cake, that is so unique and delicious. Yummm!

My husband got the vegetable thali and I got Chicken kathi roll.....we were not impressed. Service was super slow and we had to ask 3 times about our appetizer.....eventually came out with our meal. We won't be going back again..

Hands down the best bang for your buck here is the Thali. Everything else is borderline over priced for the portions you receive. Especially when compared to other indian restaurants. What it lacks in quantity, they make up for with quality. Definitely try to go early on a weekend as the place fills up really fast.

The food is reasonable, not extraordinary. We asked the server for a spoon, never got one. There are better Indian places in town. The only thing good about this place is its location.

We went with hunger and were not disappointed! The atmosphere is totally cool, but not to the point where you feel under dressed with shirt and jeans. We ordered a bunch of plates including tikka masala, chicken 65(my favorite), and delicious drinks. If you have a couple people in your group that just want to try something new, give this place a shot and then thank me.

Fresh, inventive Indian food in a clean, modern, nicely lit setting...what a concept! The samosas and pakoras are fresh and not too heavy---amazing, each served with lovely chutneys. The paratha bread is perfection. Chicken tikka masala, cholas, okra, and simple rice were all excellent. Their mango lassi is extra-thick and tasty, and the gulab jamun for dessert was remarkable. I can't wait to go back.

This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Came here for dinner with my mom and my sibling...and I would have to agree with other reviewers; the decor is modern and super jazzy. Plus, friendly people work here. I actually didn't think my thali platter was that amazing, but the biggest problem was that everything was sorta lukewarm. Booo! I opted for a vegetarian option and absolutely loved the bhindi masala and the alu gobi- both perfectly seasoned, and, I'm happy to report, not salty! Whew. I loved the thali option, basically like choosing your own combo platter- and the menu has lots of things to choose from, both veg and non veg. One horrible misstep was the masala iced tea! I was expecting a sweeter combination of flavors, more like what I'm accustomed to in a hot chai and was shocked to get a savory combination that smelled of sulfur and tasted like curry spiced rotten eggs! Our server burst into laughter when I told him it was horrible, and then confessed he wasn't a fan either! Lol. All in all, I would give them another chance- fingers crossed for a hotter temp- and maybe I'd go an all appetizer route. I spied lots of yumminess there.

God I hate to write this review. I was going to just send them a message on their website. I just couldn't find a place on there to send one. Ok I LOVE the food here. So why 2 stars? The service here is the WORST. If the management team is reading this you guys better get your asses over there and straighten the staff out!! Hostess was the only bright spot in todays outing. She smiled and set me up at a table outside. She brought waters to the table and my friend arrived shortly after. We were told a waiter would be right over. This all took place at 12:15pm. 10 minutes later my friend i and had caught up and still no one approached us. A waiter was refilling waters on the patio at EVERY table but when he got to us he didn't turn around. He did not acknowledge us even though our waters needed refilling. 12:35pm a waiter was aimlessly walking around the patio with two plates. He walked up to the guys next to us and in a questing way ask if the food was theirs. They said no and repeated what they had ordered. He then came to us and ask if it was our food. I pointed out that we still had menus and that no one had approached our table in 20 minutes. He said he would have someone right over. As he left the guys said they had been waiting for food for a long time. And that they needed to get their shit together. He was right. Shortly after two more waiters walked by ignoring us. 12:45pm I was embarrassed that I had suggested this place. My friend had a meeting he needed to get to. So we got up and walked out. As we did so the hostess approached us with a questioning look on her face. We walked to Seven Lamps. The lunch there I highly recommend. The service was great and so was the food. In closing I must say how sad I am that we were treated so poorly and that my friend was late to his meeting. When I ate here the last time I will tell you the food was good. But without the service to back it up I won't be returning. I was surprised to see a manager walking around. But not really paying attention. I always believe in the hands on every table method. Meaning you go up to every table and ask how things are. If you go I highly suggest the Scallops in Curry. It's a little pricey at $21.95 but well worth it. The Chicken Tandoori Salad was really good. For apps Samosa were great and the Roti Canai comes with a really good flat bread.

Compellingly avoidable place in several aspects. Food is too oily and lacks taste. On top of forgettable food, staff is less than friendly. Prices are rip off for almost all items ... After having samosas and vegetable city, me and other consumer fell sick and had to spend $15 on buying medicines ... had to trash take home items ... Location is good but this place is best left alone for ignorant ...

Good restaurant. Decent food but overhyped a bit. I went on a Friday both the times with my husband and was very crowded. The service was not very fast and even took us 10 mins to get glasses of water from the staff. We kept getting someone else's food through the staff and had to tell them that we did not order it. Nice decor and good food though - quite different from the usual Indian restaurants. The Thalis are quite good. Wish the service was more attentive and faster.

Really good authentic indian food homestyle. Love their thali platter which allows you to try different things at the same time. My favorite is the paneer tikka, chat papdi and gol gappe.

Visiting Atlanta and had to have some quality Indian food. This is a great addition to the Buckhead area. We had dined in the Emory area location and hoped this one was just as good. We were surprised...it was better! We arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday and there were no other guests in the restaurant, awesome for us! The server was pleasant and informative. We ordered one of their plates (two meat and a vegetable) and split it. We had two chicken tikka masala and some potato/cauliflower side (very spicy and delicious). The food came out quickly and it was awesome. Very flavorful and fresh. We also had a mango lassi which was delicious as well. Great Indian food. Check it out!

Yet another typical Atlanta instance of.... not bad, but really not worth the double-dollar signs. I wouldn't call Bhojanic "authentic", but it's not trying to be, so it's okay that it's not. However, if we're not going all-out authentic, PLEASE put descriptions on your menu! We had to ask the waitress to give us more time... twice... just so we had time to Google everything on the menu that was unexplained. To be safe, we finally decided to split a dish between the two of us. It was big enough, but didn't have a lot of variety- 85% rice, some chicken and that's it. The flavor was good, but nothing to write home about. We also split one non-alcoholic drink between the two of us: The Spiced Lemonade. I was really excited for this, but it turned out tasting like generic Country Time powdered lemonade with an abundance of cumin in it. Not at all what I wanted or cared to finish. With only one dish and one non-alcoholic beverage, the total was still over $30 after tax, so as Scar would say, BE PREPARED! If they lowered prices, or offered a cheaper lunch special option, I'd come back on a regular bases probably. But otherwise, I've seen, I've eaten, I've reviewed, I'm done.

Good restaurant, but an okay Indian restaurant. Although they brand themselves as a "fusion" restaurant, I don't really see it all come together. I ordered the thali, and it all looked like Indian food, but it lacked the flavors that come with it. The bar, on the other hand, did a great job at bringing in an Indian kick to their cocktails. I got the alcoholic neembu paani (lemonade) and the bartender did a great job of mixing in the perfect type and amount of alcohol to it (I think it was gin).

Perfect location very Americanized / trendy little Indian restaurant with a mixture of street and authentic food. The prices are average to high. I thought the naan was good but the complimentary bread they gave and the rice lacked flavor. The chicken masala was average and the potatoes were spicy and not my favorite. The service was excellent. The yogurt sauce was awesome. Cafe Bombay and Ashiana are still my favorite but this is a great local spot!

Good-tasting Indian food. No buffet, but the food is definitely worth the price. I order the Ginger Smack whenever La'Shay is there to make it.

Looking for something different to try, my adventurous palate led me to a rather contemporary Indian cuisine, Bhojanic. In contrast to the traditional Indian meals you would encounter at most places, the restaurant attempts to switch things up. In my opinion, the food is a bit overpriced while the service does little to redeem. Upon arrival, an uptight hostess hastily dealt with us and showed us our seat. The decor aims for a simple elegance which merely strikes as tacky, raw, and unfinished (Concrete floors, unfinished ceilings, etc.) To be fair, the creative splash found here is right in line with the neighboring shops in its plaza. The menu is a simple one-pager consisting of kathi rolls, thalis, curries, and "tapas" appetizers. The thali's a terrific option to sample several different items (non-veg and veg). - our favorites were the chole and saag paneer. The turkey kathi roll is delicious and comes loaded with fully spiced turkey kebabs. Among all others, the goat curry was easily the table favorite: tenderly sliced goat pieces cooked in a savory curry and served with basmati rice. Our waiter was pleasant and did what she could to help us navigate through the menu. I would have liked to see her check up on us a few more times and have made a stronger effort to ensure our satisfaction. The indifferent hostess passively murmured a goodbye on our way out - perhaps a customer communication training would suit her well. Bottomline: good food, a bit overpriced, and okay service.

The only disappointment here was the vegetarian food. But shame on me for starting with bad stuff. Bhojnaic is a refreshing change. It is an Indian restaurant that cooks real and authentic food. We were a group of four and we sampled a wide variety of the food. - The pani puri was excellent. Highly recommended. - The chicken curry was good - The Chicken Tikka Masala was really good. Spicy. As it would be back home. - The aloo tikki was okay. - The lamb curry was well appreciated on the entire table. - The chilli paneer, daal makhani and chole were very mediocre. The daal lacked salt and spice. The desserts were divine. The gulab jamuns were really really good. The ras malai was really good too. Overall, this place does its food right. I'd go here again (and not order anything vegetarian).

I am a big fan of Indian cuisine, but I rarely get out to eat it. I was at a lunch buffet in Long Island and absolutely everything was delicious especially those items that I couldn't pronounce. Here at Bhojanic, we had a large group and were seating semi-privately at a large table behind curtains. It was a nice setup. The prices were excellent for the area and the food quality. Our visit was at lunch and not one of our party was disappointed. Everyone got either the daily special or one of the Thalis. Everything was nicely seasoned and spiced, with warm flat-bread. This is a restaurant to return to whenever in the Lenox area.

5 for food 4 for inconsistent and slow service (although the food comes out quickly enough if you have a good server) My coworkers and I come here for lunch frequently (I've been at least 15 times) and the service is almost always painfully slow and frustrating for (what we hope will be) quick work lunches. That said, the food is SOOOO good that we can't help ourselves. On one trip about a year ago, we had laughably poor service to the point where we asked for the manager. He could not have been nicer and more accommodating. He heard us out and gave us a discount for our hour and 45 minute lunch troubles. We usually get the lunch mini thali which comes with an app (salad, alu tikki or samosa), 1 meat and 1 veg, as well as basmati rice, yogurt sauce and a piece of naan). The chicken tikka masala is like buttah. Perfectly seasoned; not overpowering or dull. The saag paneer is creamy and delicious. I also frequently enjoy the alu gobi, which has a nice kick to it! I saw an adorable grandma-looking woman peeking out from the kitchen when we went last week and I'm pretty sure that's why the food is so good. The space is clean and modern with cool lanterns, vibrant fabrics and a nice patio outside. If you've never had Indian food and you don't know where to start, this is a very good place to give it a shot.

In the past, I've always eaten Indian food with the assumption that "authentic" Indian food was something that restaurants really didn't serve, it was more something that is reserved for eating over people's houses and home cooked meals. Bhojanic is one of more authentic Indian places, not just from my opinion, but my Indian coworkers who just moved to the US. Besides the curries that are traditionally served in the US, they have thalis, which are a plate of meat/veg, rice, beans, papad, yogurt. It tastes a bit more balanced and less heavy that having the curry and rice by itself, but it won't fill you up as much. The curry at Bhojanic is similar to other restaurants with a bit less quantity of both curry and rice. The ambiance makes the place feel more modern than traditional, while the service I've never run into any major issues (most likely because the 4-5 times I've been here it was relatively empty). Price wise, $15 for lunch, $20-25 for dinner inclusive of tax/tip, its a bit more expensive than other Indian restaurants. Overall, if you're never eaten thalis or authentic Indian food before, Bhojanic is worth a try, but Atlanta is full of a wide variety of good Indian foods at cheaper prices that will be more filling.

I love this place! The food is consistently good, as is the service. The only drawback is that it gets very loud during busy hours. The thalis are fun because you get to choose vegetable sides. The lamb curry is a generous portion that you can easily make into a meal for the next day. The chicken 365 is tender and flavorful; a great appetizer. This last time I had a drink with pisco and a malbec float and it was DELICIOUS! I'm really surprised by other reviewers' comments about the service because what really made our most recent visit delightful was our server. Young guy with an afro (so try to get in his section) who clearly knew what he was doing. He was always right on time, never hovering, but we never needed to flag him down. It made it so that we could focus on having a lovely date night of great food and conversation. We'll definitely continue to dine here!

I personally don't like to base my reviews on the service... but, in this case I may have to a *little* Bhojanic is right next to Lenox Mall - near Lulu Lemon. Not a bad location at all. Esp, if you plan to shop before/after your meal. There are spots available. I come here to shop often during chaotic times and I'm fairly pleased with the availability. We had a table of 5, but when me and my bf went in, it was just us for a few mins. Weird thing is, it wasn't THAT crowded, but we still had to wait to get seated. Not sure if that's just me, but I don't know.. I find it odd. I could tell there were lots of bigger tables open too with no RSVP spots. But whatever! I'm being nit picky. Our hostess looked so confused though. Service - so service wasn't really that great. Food took a lot longer to get & other tables that came after us got theirs fairly quickly. Not sure if it's what we ordered or.. if there was a whoops in the kitchen and had to make new meals... or hm. Our 1 app came out 15 mins after we ordered, but the app was wings. Literally took 1 min for each of us to eat. Afterwards, the food came out way later than expected. Also, when we received our checks, they were all swapped. Wrong items on checks + mispriced. Hm, luckily my friend found the error and corrected it. Maybe I'm being too overbearing on this, but I find it kind of peculiar... that this entire time service was kind off. They weren't even that busy. But our server was super nice & sweet. She fixed things as soon as we said something. Place - When you walk in, you'll smell the delicious food. Like.. I was hungry when we walked in, but my hunger turned on higher when once I smelled the food. Also, I can tell this would be a great date place as well as meet with friends place. Has a neat bar + several 2 man tables. In the middle, there are longer tables for your parties. FOOD! I got the thali tray - one with Chicken Tikka (?) and the Alu (vegetable) - Loved both. Very delicious. On my tray, I had rice, naan, mini salad, white yogurt, and spicy spinach. Everything was great. It's a bit pricey, but I do love good Indian food. One friend got the Lamb Curry with Cauliflower - she said it was amazing as well. Seems like you can't go wrong with the Thali trays! I would def. order one or 2 of these with several different items. We also ordered the wings - so spicy! They also had some green sauce. Nom. I'm a wing girl and these were pretty good. Order these for an app! I forgot what the guys ordered - but it had A LOT of rice, as in .. literally a bowl of rice + chicken and mini plates of side items. I think Chicken Pandoora with rice? Overall - try the thali trays for sure + the wings. :) Oh and I wish Yelp had a 3.5 score.. that's what I'd give.

On the strength of my very cosmopolitan daughter, I tried this place a few weeks ago and have been back twice since. The first restaurant of this sort that i've tried was Chai Pani in Decatur; very good but slightly overpriced for the area. Bhojanic's is priced right for its location and ambiance, the food is really good and the drinks are even better. So far I've only tried a few things from the menu but the hands down winner is the Shrimp Curry. Dont forget to try the garlic & butter na'an bread ...sooo good!!!

The food just doesn't taste that great. We checked out this place as an option for catering unbeknownst to them, and came away thoroughly disappointed. They are located in a very large mall setting, so getting there in peak times can be a bit tough, because our GPS took us through the scenic route of the mall. Unfortunately, we were there during peak time so was a bit hard to navigate. They do have a good amount of parking though, since it's in a mall setting. The set up is pretty good, has a hip vibe to it, and is somewhat pleasing on the eyes. It's not traditional, elephants and weird paintings in your face type decor, so that was nice. The service was also friendly, they seated us right away (wasn't that busy) and seemed nice. And to the food: I ordered the samosa, and that was pretty bad. It's pretty hard to screw up samosa, but they managed to do it. It tasted like it was heavy on salt, and not much else. I'm a big fan of samosas, but this was hard to consume. We both ordered the Vegetarian Thali, and both of us came away disappointed. First of all, the thali options are pretty small, not a whole lot of curry, so feels a bit disappointing as a dish. Second, they don't taste all that great either. Seemed somewhat flavorless, and watered down. Even the rice seemed like it was a bit overcooked to me. Since we were trying to see a variety of flavors to decide about the catering, we ordered the Aloo Paratha. Do me a favor, if you read this, just skip ordering it, and bite into the menu book. It's not that different, and while you may get a few weird looks, you'll save money. Absolutely horrible, probably the worst I've eaten. Being Indian, I've had all kinds of aloo paratha from the gourmet ones in good indian restaurants to the frozen ones brought from Indian stores right after they black out the expiration date, and this takes the lead for being the worst one. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you walked into the kitchen and saw some guy standing there with a hair dryer trying to thaw these frozen parathas from those same indian store packages. The mango lassi was good though, definitely had some nice flavor and sweetness to it. All in all, a disappointing visit to this place. I think everything besides the food is set up well here, but unfortunately the most important aspect of a restaurant is below average here.

One word comes to mind when I think of Bhojanic in terms of Indian food - refreshing. This does not mean that the food is not spicy. Probably not spicy to the standards of those who eat Indian food every day, but spicier than a lot of other Indian places. Bhojanic's philosophy is to cook the food as if it were part of a home cooked meal. There is a large emphasis on less oil. I can taste the difference between Bhojanic and the many Indian restaurants I have gone to. I can't attest to if this is truly "home cooked" style, but the food is a lot lighter than what I've eaten at other places. For dinner, I ordered a thali with chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, and a bharta dish. Everything was light and tasty. The vegetables tasted fresh. I could even tell the difference in the rice and the chapati. The food felt healthier without sacrificing flavor. I'm pretty happy that out of all the Indian restaurants in Atlanta, this is the one that is walking distance from my apartment.

After hearing several people (including Indian people) rave about this place, I finally gave it a try. Traffic around Lenox mall is crazy on the weekends. It almost reminded me of Snowpocalypse 2014 3.0. I finally got to the Shops Around Lenox center and finding parking wasn't too difficult. The inside of the restaurant was decorated nicely, but I opted to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The two page menu plus daily special offered a variety of options. I asked the waiter what was popular there and he basically mentioned everything on the menu. I opted to go with the Thalis (traditional Indian combo platter) for about $12. The tikka masala was lukewarm at best and a bit salty. Everything else was good, but not memorable. It was just enough food to not stuff me but did not totally satisfy me either. Delicious food. I had the vegetarian thali and wanted seconds on everything. The bhindi was some of the best I've every had. The aloo gobi was seasoned to perfection. The dal makhani was some of the best I've had in 10 years (I thought Daaba Café had the best until they closed). The pickles were also delicious and I am pretty sure they were NOT from a jar. The temperature inside was a little warmer than I like, but service was good and I could tell there were are lot regular guests dining there. The staff was helpful and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Love the Bhojanic Buckhead location. The interior is very bright and modern, not the usual hole-in-the-wall Indian spot and the food is just as good. The traditional thalis are always my go-to choice. It's almost like the Indian equivalent of the Southern "meat-and-three" plate. I also liked that you can get wine and mixed cocktails with your dinner.

This is a great Indian restaurant and is also reasonably priced. I've never had to wait long and the customer service is also great. If you're unsure on what you want, they do a great job of helping you figure out exactly what it is.

It was good going down, but coming out the other end. Not so much. $129 to feed 4 people. I thought was kinda pricey for this kind of food, but there was Im assuming that we had enough because no one took home a to go container. My favorite was the Shrimp Bjojanic. I'm just not a fan of this type of food, so anytime I eat at Indian restaurants its because someone else wants to eat there. The Chicken Marsala was the best I've ever tasted, but my palette for this type of food is very limited. This particular occasion was during the month of May for the Atlanta Jazz Festival live music events. The atmosphere was brisk and people were swaying to the beat so somehow, Indian food and jazz goes together. Our server was great, its now 6 months since I was actually there, so I can't recall his name. But he was able to describe every dish on the menu and make suggestions that turned out to be good pick.

(slightly longer review on my food blog) I've eaten at the Bhojanic location in Decatur on Clarimont Rd. This location I believe has only been opened for around a year. You'll find it in the shopping center to the right facing the Mall from Peachtree (it's anchored by a Crate and Barrel retail location) - Bhojanic is in the "crook of the elbow" - there's a wood-slat blind holding outside seating. The interior is modernist-trendy with interesting art and an open bar. The menu is interesting and highlights the idea of both serving traditional Indian cuisine and Indian-food-as tapas. If you think about the various dishes found in Indian cuisine, tapas (Spanish for "small plates") is an excellent vehicle for allowing diners to sample many different elements in smaller portions, so you aren't limited by the size of your party. For this, my first visit to this location, I attended with some visitors from Boston (Pranay and Tom) and my local friend Siddharth. We ordered a few beers (including an excellent slow-brewed "Taj Mahal" - after traveling to India I've found that for some reason this beer isn't really available IN India - it's also owned by the parent of Kingfisher, United Brewing but is virtually unknown there). After studying the menu I invited Siddharth to order from the table. He chose three entrée dishes and some various breads: Lamb Curry - this curry was dark and rich and wonderful with ginger, garlic and turmeric as the predominate flavors - in retrospect we should have ordered the goat instead (for some reason the Indians call goat "mutton" - I've always used that term for adult sheep). The meat was lean and slightly tough (but I've come to expect that) - goat has a similar flavor and tends to be more tender, if a bit more greasy. Chicken Tikka Masala - this is the classic chicken curry (most Americans call this "butter chicken" but then again, with enough ghee everything is!) - here's the Tikka is creamy and bright orange, with meats marinated in curd (yogurt), heated with spices and finished with a tomato puree. Delicious. Sag Paneer - this Northern Indian spinach dish was one of the best I've had recently - chunks of paneer (fresh milk cheese) tossed in spices and spinach. Naan -flat bread cooked in a tandoori oven Garlic Naan - as above but with garlic (appeared to be garlic powder - for some reason I haven't been able to find a good fresh-garlic naan in the US - the closest to what I sampled in India is at Heart of India on I285/Chamblee-Tucker). Tava Paratha - this is a whole wheat skiddle-fried flat bread The dishes came with a really delicious long-grain basmati rice - I loved the consistency, a bit buttery with a hint of cinnamon. Also a few papadam (lentil crackers) and spicy mixed pickles to add a bit of variety to the dishes. We finished the meal with a couple of unusual (for me) pistachio kulfis - this is basically an ice cream packed with pistachios and served with a rice vermicelli (on top). First time I've had it prepared with the noodles - seems it's a common thing around Calcutta. We had a wonderful experience with the food - I had seen some posts about some dishes being salty and this was not the case when we were there. The service seemed very slow to us - by the time the beers arrived we were quite thirsty. The next time I visit I'm going to try some of the tapas dishes and will probably do a thali - this is a combination dinner served in a stainless steel, compartmented cafeteria tray (this type of service is very common in India). I'd also like to try the fish curry and the tandoori chicken (have to save some stuff for follow-up, right?). -- John :

I've said before that I hate writing reviews based on service, but I unfortunately can't leave it out of this one. We came for a friend's birthday on a Monday night. When we sat down there were maybe two other tables and one person at the bar. The waitress was nice and took our drink orders and explained to two of my Indian friends what a samosa was... which was strange, but I guess she can't assume anything... I'm not exaggerating when I said that we didn't get drinks until 45 minutes later. By this time we had already gotten our meals (three of which were incorrect) and the birthday girl had already finished hers. She was bummed because she would have ordered three by then. We received three different reasons for why the drinks were late (because we asked three different times in that 45 minute period). After around 20 minutes we asked the waitress and she told us that she thinks the system had reset when she put the order in. This seems irrelevant because she could have just told the bartender with her words. The second time the birthday girl and my other friend actually went up to the bartender who told them she had been "Swamped" (again, monday night, 3 other parties in there when we sat down. Also we could SEE the bartender because the bar was maybe 5 feet away from our table. The third time we asked the waitress again and she said she thought the bartender had run out of ingredients and had to go and get them ... what. I didn't blame the waitress completely but it really seemed like she was not trying at all. The manager said he couldn't comp the drinks (after seeming equally uninterested. Also we had to ASK for him to come over) and instead took off a small percentage from each of our meals and gave the birthday girl two free drinks (but at this time we were leaving and she was driving so another friend drank the second.) Because of this compensation and that I liked the food, I'm still giving this 3 stars. Now, the important part. The food was tasty and spicy when it was suppose to be, and I like that they have the thalis combos. I think charging $2 extra for some of the options (like chili paneer, even though saag paneer isn't extra) is a little unnecessary though. I've eaten at the Decatur location a lot and I think that one is a little better, but same idea. I had the chicken tikka, onion dumplings and chili paneer. They give you a good amount of rice. The "salad" they give you in it is literally two pieces of lettuce, one slice of cucumber and one tomato. Not even a little bit of vinegar or oil on it, it's pretty much not worth putting on the plate. They gave the birthday girl a free piece of cake that was pretty cardboard-y.

Solid, not amazing food, popular part of town. I like my Indian food very hot/spicy, and was a little disappointed in how they prepared it (they were probably concerned about it being too hot, despite my requests!). I've been to this place around four times - always solid. Good for business meetings, fun, or even sitting at the bar on your own. Friendly bar staff. Try it! Also try Tabla (another Indian place with a similar vibe - I prefer Tabla).

I've been really curious about Bhojanic for awhile now - especially with the increase of Indian fusion restaurants opening around town as of late. There is a Decatur location - which is a lot more convenient for me, but I'm happy that we got to experience the Buckhead locale first. The space is impressive, it's spacious and very clean and elegant with Asian accented decor. There's a full bar, ample seating - including a small outdoor seating area, as well as a private (ish) dining room adjacent to the bar. The service was excellent, our waitress was so sweet and attentive. When it came to choosing my entree, I was [of course] concerned about the spice level (wimpy taste buds - I has them), and she so kindly brought out a sample of each entree so I could taste the strength of the kick - of all the times I've asked how spicy a dish is, this is the first time someone's ever offered to let me try it beforehand - so. thoughtful! With the threat of spice no longer looming, here's a quick rundown of everything we had: - Alu Tikki (potato patties topped w/ chickpea curry, mint, and tamarind chutney): This was probably my favorite dish out of everything we had - it's one of their tapas options, but it's perfectly functional as a shared appetizer. It's one of the weaker spiced dishes (which is a good thing), there's definitely a slight kick, but nothing I couldn't handled. I love the flavor of the herbs, the savoriness from the chickpeas, and the sweetness from the chutney. I wish there was more mint though; I. Love. Mint. - Goat Curry (goat stewed w/ spices in a yogurt curry): This is definitely the least spiciest of the meat entrees - again there is a lingering kick, but it wasn't overpowering. The goat is very tender, it's really well cooked, and I loved the "yogurt gravy" - I was expecting something a bit thicker, but it's more of a soupy-stew; It's very flavorful, and a great compliment to the meat. - Saag Paneer (creamed spinach w/ Indian cheese): The spiciest of everything I had, so I didn't eat too much of it, but what I could handle, I enjoyed. - Pistachio Cheesecake w/ Mango sauce: Definitely the best cheesecake I've enjoyed in a long while. There were bits of pistachio and another spice baked into the cheesecake, and the mango sauce, just brought to a whole other level - I also liked how balanced it was - it wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet. The goat curry and the saag paneer were part of my thali (the combination platter; one meat, one veggie option) - in addition, there was also rice, a yogurt sauce, a pita cracker (the most flavorful piece of pita, you'll ever enjoy!), and naan. I was blown away by how much food it included - it was very filling to say the least. Had I known how large the portion size was going to be I probably wouldn't have ordered the app or the dessert. I also ordered a mocktail (living on the edge, I know), and I have to say it's probably the best one I've had - if I had been none the wiser, I would've thought there was alcohol in it! Which they are completely willing to add - if you wish. Overall, I had a great experience, I'm looking forward to trying as many dishes as I can - have mercy on my poor taste buds!

I loved Bhojanic when it opened in Decatur. The food, especially the chaats and other street food, was fresh and exciting. The restaurant felt contemporary, always trying out something new. I was delighted when it opened in Buckhead and stopped by every few weeks for a meal. More recently, Bhojanic disappoints. Service was always inconsistent. Now the food is inconsistent as well. The specials aren't so special given most appear on the specials menu every day. The chicken tikka masala, saag paneer and lentils were pedestrian. I am certain frozen vegetables were used in the rice. The pickles were far too salty. And it felt as if the kitchen was turning up the heat in the food to make up for its lack of flavor. Bhojanic is still a step above most Indian restaurants but given its slightly higher prices, I expect more. It would benefit from some focused attention.

BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN ATLANTA ONE OF THE 3 BEST INDIAN RESTAURANTS I KNOW Went here on Friday, February 13th, 2015 for my mom's birthday with the party of 8. We had reservations for 8:15 and arrived on time however we didn't get seated until 9pm. We ordered Saag Paneer, chilly Paneer, chicken curry, bhindo masala, Dal makhni, several naans, spicy indian pickle, several appetizers, and about 3 round of drinks. And finally when we were over stuffed, we got mango mousse cakes for dessert. You absolutely have to have mango mousse cake. The food has been consistently excellent at all 4 the locations. I can't write enough about Bhojanic. I'm a regular here and came wait to come back. And for our 30 minute wait, the manager offered to comp a round of drinks which was completely unexpected.

Came here last week and had the Chicken curry thali with saag paneer. So delicious! From charlotte and we drive down to ATL for this. The samosas are great especially with the sauces that they provide. Love this particular location, really relaxed environment and wait staff is always friendly. The food is super flavorful and just spicy enough. The thali provides great variety for your meal especially if you have a hard time deciding on just one entree.

Dear Bhojanic: Have I already written a review for you? We used to visit you regularly so I may have already shared some of your virtues. Over time, however, your service has gotten worse and worse and you food has gotten saltier and saltier. The last time we were there, it took 10 minutes for your server to visit our table. We ordered drinks and I got a mojito. With mouth properly anticipating said mojitio, I watched the bartender watching football on TV. Some more time passed. We ordered dinner. When our dinner finally arrived, I asked the server - where is my mojito? She looked over at the bar at the bartender watching football on TV. I couldn't tell if she had forgotten to drop the order or if he was too busy watching football to make it. When the drink finally arrived it was not drinkable. It seemed there was one screw-up after another that meal. But many other meals have been similar. So... we venture a little further out of our area for Indian now.

Thrilled doesn't begin to describe how I feel about Bhojanic opening a location on this side of town. Bhojanic is tucked into the corner of the Shops Around Lenox near Crate & Barrel and Lululemon. They have some tables with umbrellas outside for al fresco dining and a inside is chic bistro space (check out the uber cool lighting) that serves as the heaven for exotic spices and delectable dishes. I've loved every meal that I've had at Bhojanic. We often eat family style in order to sample a variety of dishes. Some of our favorites include: Lamb Curry Fish Curry Byriani Paneer Tandoori Garlic Naan -- yum!!! If you aren't in the mood to share order the Thalis. While it looks like the lunch tray from grade school --- it's NOT! The metal compartmentalized tray holds rice pullao, chapati bread, raita, papadam, and a side salad along with the entree and sides of your selection from the Daily Specials list. They know their spices - dishes are a wonderful and complex layer of spices and flavors with just a touch of heat. It's really about the perfect spice blend and mind-melding flavors that will leave you thinking about a dish days (even weeks) later. Don't tuck into another burger or chopped salad. Try Bhojanic for a flavorful and delicious meal.

There are a few places that truly live up to be fusion. Bhojanic is one of them. While sticking to authenticity of Indian cuisine yet adding a twist to every dish, this eatery has surely got it all. Great for South Asian cuisine virgins, cause the chef here surely keeps the spice level in check. And hence each dish has a unique flavor, not just hot chilies rolled up in a curry. My recommendations, saag paneer, dal tarka, chicken makhni and to end your meal with a scrumptious dessert better try the daal ka halwa. Needless to say, I'll be coming back for more, soon.

Hands down the SAFEST and very good tasting Indian food in Atlanta! I would go here on weekdays when I don't feel like cooking. The food variety is not very exciting, but the quality is very good and I feel safe eating here.

I was looking for something different and found it at Bhojanic. They have your usual entrees and curries, but also have chat (street food) and methi paratha with a fried egg! The Thali is a massive plate for you to pick your combination of meat(s) and vegetable(s), but it's a great deal. I tried the goat curry and punjabi kardi (onion dumpling) The ambience is cool inside and warm outside with Indian music playing in the background. Service was friendly and helpful with a cup of yogurt to counter the spicy oils even though they charged for it.

Horrible service! I was really wanting Indian food. My boyfriend and I waited at the hostess stand for several minutes despite a near empty restaurant, then after being seated sat for 20 minutes with not attention. We had the menus down, trying to make eye contact with the wait staff. We saw another pair seated and served water. We heard several wait staff using profanity as they discussed customers and eventually was able to pull over someone. She did not give a name, but said she was an assistant manager. We told her about our story, and that we had changed our mind about dining with them, then she started to inappropriately touch my boyfriend whilst 'apologizing' for our experience. Needless to say, we then left.

Oh man. This was a disaster. I've been to the Decatur location, and I actually enjoyed it. However, this was a disappointing experience. I will say that the ambiance is quite nice. I like the lighting and the seating options. The vibe is very relaxing. However, I'll cut to the chase. We went on a Tuesday, and the restaurant was reasonably busy. We (party of 3) ordered drinks. They were delivered---20 minutes later. It was JUST BEER. The waitress also failed to bring water. She FINALLY came to take our order. We chose the shrimp curry, the vegetarian thali, and the chicken biryani. We waited a while for the food to come out. Once it was out, the inside of the chicken was ice cold. Like they barely even tried to re-heat the dish. The vegetarian thali was also really disappointing. Each dish tasted exactly the same. There was no flavor diversity. Just spice, spice, spice. The naan was truly inedible. It was totally drowning in oil. Such a bummer. I will say that the manager comped half of our meal because of the freezing biryani, but I will still never ever return.

Came in here with a scoutmob hand-picked deal which was an awesome bargain. For $29, we got two cocktails, an appetizer, two thali plates, and a dessert. Sat on the patio around 6pm on a Thursday afternoon. Started with a cocktail with lemonade, muddled chills, and absolute cilantro vodka. Initially, was grossed out by the thought of cilantro vodka but it's actually delicious in this drink. Also, love anything spicy and this drink had a kick. Good cocktail to try if you're feeling adventurous. My bf also got a thai beer which sounded really exotic per the description but I swear tasted exactly like blue moon. We started with chicken 65 which was just ok. Really salty and not that flavorful. Their version is not deep fried and just chunks of tandoori chicken covered in a red sauce. I didn't think it was that spicy and all in all I would not get this again especially if you've had Zyka's version which is superior. The party next to us got the chicken wings which looked really good, I want to try that next time. Then came the thalis. I got saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and the bengan bharta or eggplant as my entrees. All of this came with rice, raita or yogurt, and a bread which wasn't naan and tasted more like a pita bread. Saag paneer was very good, tikka masala just tasted like the chicken 65 in a thicker saltier red sauce, and bengan bharta was excellent. I was really hoping that the pita would be good but it was pretty mediocre and dry. Also the rice was clumpy which bothers me because I feel like all asian and southeast asian places should know how to cook rice. I asked for hot sauce and the waiter ended up bringing out this thai pickled chili slices that were sweet and sour. I would buy this alone if they sold it in a jar. It was so spicy and perfectly complimented the food. Dessert was a cardamom pistachio cheesecake with mango sauce. This was awesome, unique, and the best thing we had all night. Really big slice and basically a spiced indian ny cheesecake speckled with pistachio studs. So good! I would come back just for this. By 8, this outdoor patio was packed. Our waiter was really nice and relatively attentive considering he was getting slammed by all the parties wanting to sit outside. It took awhile to process our check because of the hand-picked deal needing to be verified by the manager. Overall, I'd come back to try non-thali dishes-this place has potential.

The service here is not excellent. They seem to play the blame game when something goes wrong or is not right. I serve, and I know sometimes things come out wrong or you make a mistake. (most) Guests simply want the mistake fixed in a timely manner. I don't need some story about why it took 45 minutes for a standard cocktail on a Monday when there were literally maybe 5 other people in the restaurant, though I received several excuses that didn't explain that time frame at all. The management does not seem very interested in the guest needs or the reputation of the restaurant. This is probably because they do not own the place and it's just a job. That's how it seemed to me and my party anyway. The food was OK. Our waitress did not seem terribly interested in our table until we had problems and then that was only if we could flag her down (again there's really no one else in the restaurant and I never saw her with another table, I think we were her only guests). Of the 5 entrees ordered, 3 came out totally wrong and the other 2 were missing things. Once that was straightened out, some were already almost done eating while others were just receiving the food they ordered. If I wasn't eating with people who definitely knew what everything looked like, I easily could have eaten the wrong dish. I wonder if this happens often, because it is dangerous with allergies and it's also super unprofessional. Pricing was OK too, but there were up charges for things that didn't make sense. Some of the paneer up charges were just silly. There are plenty of much better places in Atlanta and the metro to eat Indian cuisine and they are far more friendly, authentic, and delicious. I will not return.

Me and my fiancé were visiting and decided to try this place out last night that we heard about. Upon entering the restaurant last night it was a bit chaotic ..we waited for a while then were quickly seated by our hostess who was short and brief with us. Our waiter Darryl was very pleasant and patient with us and often made sure we were satisfied with our meal. The red chicken was very different from our norm but, tasty and exciting to try. All and all It was nice food and great service.

What is this place? Our server was a young lady. She asked if we were familiar with Indian food, we both replied, yes, we love it, and she proceeded to explain the menu to us as if we had never seen an Indian menu before in our lives. We ordered the thali's but those ARE NOT real thali's; they don't even come close to what a real thali should be. The food is okay but really lacked variety. It was quite unimpressive. I don't see the need to return.

One of my new favorite restaurants in Buckhead. If you're looking for a modern and authentic Indian restaurant, this is it! Everything that I've tried has been superb. I highly recommend the: - chicken tikka masala - garlic naan - chicken 65 (This is not deep fried like the one at Zyka. Bhojanic's is more spicy.) - scallop curry - mango lassi - sweet lassi I am so stoked that I don't have to drive all the way to Decatur for authentic Indian food anymore.

This is unapologetic authentic North Indian food! The food was flavorful, diverse, and authentic. They have not dumbed down the spice level or created some fusion to cater to non-Indians! Finally a place that serves real authentic food in a nice atmosphere. The appetizers that we had were the samosa chaat and seekh kababs. The kababs were amazing; the chaat was good.I definitely recommend the chicken biryani! The thali was great with solid lamb curry, white rice, Punjabi curry (karri not curry, or dumplings in yogurt), and amazing seekh kababs. The only item that was not amazing was the palak paneer. The sweet lassi was spot on and just like the delicious drink I had at my grandmother's house in Pakistan. Overall great! Only other thing that was not my fav was the too strong masalah chai. I prefer regular doodh patti (chai leaves with milk) without all the strong cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. But I guess if that is your thing, you may like it. I didn't see too many desserts on the menu either. Service was standard/ok.

#1 Indian restaurant in ATL for the last 6 years! I've been on this Indian kick for about 6 weeks now. So far I've eaten Indian food in three different cities. NYC, Chicago and now ATL. ATL has a very limited selection of Indian restaurants, so I was not sure what to expect. They killed it! The food was excellent. The best thing was our server he knew the entire menu inside and out, was thrilled and excited to explain every item. We asked if he could help us try a variety of foods so we can get the best selection since we do not know to much about the food in india. Fantastic! Beef, shrimp, tofu and lamb, plus all the sides and fixin's. If you need a break from all the BBQ in ATL this is the perfect solution!

My first time eating here and we may or may not go back. When first arrived we were greeted by a young woman who seated us instantly. The server was there in a moments notice. My husband and I ordered the Samosa Chat and I also ordered the Indian Salad. A moment later the waitress came back to tell me the salad was only tamatos, onion, and peppers. Which the menu stated!! She asked me if I was sure I really wanted to order it? I told her yes I love tomatoes and onions. :/ My son order a mango lassie which is one of the best we have had. We got our chat then this other waiter came by and dropped off some little dish of red paste, said nothing. I asked my husband is this for our chat? He said maybe. Nothing thought. I really wanted my salad before my meal I thought ohwell it will be my dessert. Lol. From our meal to our check it was hard to flag down our waitress. After we got the bill they charged me for Indian red pickle??? After 10 min the waitress came back and said you never got your salad you did not order the pickle side I'll take in off you bill. I was pleased there was no confusion yet I would have like a little more attention to what I'm ordering. I would have ordered more food but I started to get irritated half way throught. If you want up scale & deconstruction Indian dish you will like this place. All in all the flavor compositions were spot on!!! I would have to give the service a 3 and food a 4!

Poor Service! Ok Food. Poor Service - Very Rude hostess, we were assigned seats in the very corner of the restaurant (next to the kitchen) when restaurant was empty (Sunday afternoon past lunch). When we asked her if we could sit else where she rudely responded - SIT HERE. Eventually ended up moving. Silver ware was dirty - see picture. We ordered Thali's & vegetables served was cold (guess is that after preparing food sat in the kitchen before it was served). For the price we weren't expecting this.

Love the decor of this place! Great service. Decent food in my opinion... nothing spectacular. Quite pricey compared to other Indian restaurants but considering the location, it's not too bad. ~ roti canai - delicious! tiny appetizer portion ~ samosa - 2 per order - I've had better ones ~ thali - you can choose 3 different items (meat & veggies, or all veggies), all thalis come with flatbread, yogurt sauce, lentil cracker, & salad) Parking is a nightmare in this shopping center. Bhojanic is located in the corner next to Roots Juices.

I would say the food here is not really Indian , though they boast of being Indian place. We ordered paneer tikka..and it was wprst ever..kind of that we had never seen before. The actually fried paneer with mustard seeds and curry leaves!!!!!!!! Way too expensive...ambience is good..but not even comfortable chairs. The taste was not even close to good Indian food..I wonder how have they got all those good reviews.

So this was our first visit to the Buckhead location. It has a very different - very Buckhead - vibe to it than the original. It feels a little more polished and chic/trendy, but it suits the neighborhood so I think it works. We got a variety of food - as we had a Scoutmob deal - so I got to try several appetizers, the Thali platter, as well as Mango Lassi and dessert. Everything we got was very good - the Mango Lassi was excellent (how can it not be?!) and the Tikka Masala was very good too! We also really enjoyed the gulab jamun to top off our meal.

I like Bhojanic for several reasons: its in my neighborhood, the ambiance rocks and the staff is professional. I don't like Bhojanic for reasons I wish I could change: it never tastes like true Indian food (too fusion for my taste) and even though they try thir hardest to make it spicy to my liking, it just tastes like fake Indian. What can I say, I am a tough critic b/c I KNOW what it is supposed to taste like. Also, their lack of curies is disappointing. This is a great place for cocktails and appetizers but not an entire, authentic Indian meal. Sorry Bho!

Bhojanic is a popular Atlanta area Indian restaurant which recently opened a second location (March 2013) in Buckhead at the Shops Around Lenox. I'm familiar with Bhojanic because I've been to the original location in Decatur and have attended events catered by the restaurant. When it comes to Indian restaurants in Atlanta, Bhojanic is one of the nicer ones. The Buckhead location is new and shiny. The space is tastefully decorated from floor to ceiling. The interior is narrow, but the modern design makes it feel spacious. The polished concrete floors are decorated with Indian prints, colorful pillows line the bench seating against the wall, and various ornamented light fixtures hang from above. Inside, there's a bar, a semi-private section for group dining, and table seating. Outside, there are several small tables on the front patio. Bhojanic serves authentic Indian food in both tapas (small, shareable plates) and entree form. The menu includes parathas (flatbread), chat (street food including different kinds of puri), kathi rolls (similar to small burritos), curry dishes, and salads. Thalis are also offered. Thalis are combination platters and I recommend them because you get to try a lot of different dishes. Expect to spend about $7-9 each for most of the tapas-sized plates, parathas, chat, and kathi rolls. The full-sized entrees are upwards of $18 (e.g. goat curry). Thalis are about $12-15 each, depending on how many meats and vegetables you order. The thali meat and vegetable options change often. There's also a paneer (cheese) of the day, biryani (rice) of the day, and specials. We visited on a Saturday afternoon no more than a month after the grand opening and most of the time, we were the only customers inside the restaurant. I tried the following on thali platters: Saag Paneer - creamed spinach with Indian cheese Chicken Curry - bone-in chicken in a ginger, garlic, onion, and yogurt-based curry Alu Gobhi - potatoes and cauliflower with ginger and tomato Chicken Tikka Masala - boneless tandoori chicken in a tomato cream sauce Daal Makhini - black lentils tempered with asafetida Bhindi Masala - sauteed okra with caramelized onions I like the way Bhojanic serves its thalis. Each thali is served on a metal tray with six compartments, each compartment designed for one food item. It's neat and reminds me of the cafeteria trays from elementary school. Other restaurants typically serve thalis in several small metal bowls (similar to banchan). The upper three compartments have your chosen meat/veggie items. The bottom three compartments have raita (cucumber yogurt sauce), rice pullao (rice with peas and carrots) and papadam (crispy lentil cracker), and a small side salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber). The thali also comes with chapati (flat bread). Generally, almost everything tasted good. A few of the items were a bit overseasoned (one tremendously). I loved how soft and fluffy the rice pullao was. I wouldn't mind ordering a bowl of this a la carte ($2.95). The chapati was freshly baked, so it was served still steaming and glistening from the oven. Along with the papadam, these were ideal accompaniments to the flavorful food. I enjoyed all of the meat/veggie selections except for the Bhindi Masala. It was inedibly salty. I can tolerate salty foods, but it was too salty even for me. I tried mixing the bhindi with rice, chapati, and raita to drown out the saltiness, but it didn't help. I attempted to force myself to finish it, but couldn't. It was that bad -- a shame because I love okra. In addition, the Bhindi Masala was the only thali vegetable selection that day which incurred an additional charge of $1.50, leaving me that much more disappointed. I like Indian creamed spinach, often called Palak Paneer or Saag Paneer (as it's called here). It was smooth and creamy, but also more salty than average. Not nearly as bad as the bhindi, though. Bhojanic's version has cubes of paneer cheese (Indian cheese) in it, which is common. Both of the chicken dishes were delicious. I give a slight edge to the chicken curry. Both were flavorful. Note the Chicken Curry comes bone-in, so you'll have to work your away through bones if you want to enjoy it. The Chicken Tikka Masala is boneless. In both cases, the meat was tender and savory. The tomato flavor was evident when eating the Chicken Tikka Masala, moreso than I've experienced before. The Alu Gobhi was my favorite veggie, perhaps even over the Saag Paneer. The potatoes and cauliflower were covered in a rich and pungent sauce. Watch out for the chunks of ginger, which can be quite strong. More cauliflower, please. The Daal Makhini is made with asafetida, which is a spice sometimes used as a garlic and onion substitute. The lentils were thick, hearty, and tasty. Alexa was our server and she did a fantastic job. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. Book reservations for free on OpenTable to earn dining points.

I was really excited to try the food here after reading numerous articles online stating that Bhojanic totes the best Indian food in Atlanta. Unfortunately I left severely disappointed. I ordered a thali with chicken tikka masala as my meat option and saag panner as my vegetable. These came accompanied with salad, raita and rice. The rice was so, so, a little clumpy and in need of some salt. The chicken tikka masala was just awful; bland and watery in taste instead of rich and creamy. Also seeing as they only offer a few curries I found it a huge slight that a commonly popular dish was executed so poorly. In contrast the saag paneer was quite tasty, although the paneer chunks were very small (half the size you get at most other restaurants) and thus they were lost amid the spinach. The naan we ordered was really good though, thick, yet light and soft. The decor of the restaurant is clean, modern and trendy which is a plus but ultimately this doesn't make up for the poor food.

Had a weekday lunch here with a coworker. The restaurant was pretty full by 12:30. The service was helpful and patient as we poured over the menu. The decor was nice too. We both settled on the vegetarian thali. I had mine with the eggplant, chickpeas, and cauliflower vegetables. All were delicious and the chickpeas were my favorite. Next time I want to try the lentils. The portions were generous and we each left stuffed. The price was appropriate for the quality and meal size. It wasn't THE most amazing Indian cuisine I have ever had, but it was still very good. Will definitely be back!

In short.. "Taste and service is good, however a bit pricey.." We went for dinner to this restaurant in a group. It has great ambiance and waiters were nice. Food is good as well. It is not to spicy and at the same time not bland. They had kind of the perfect taste for Indian food. We ordered Paneer Bhojanic, Pakora Platter, Makki Bread with Baingan Bharta and Pani Puri for appetizers. All were good, Pani Puri was awesome. However quantity was less than what we are used to for that price. For entrees, we ordered Thalis. They have good number of options for vegetables for Thali, again great taste for all vegetables. We ordered Chana Masala, Punjabi Kadhi, Saag Paneer, Dal Makhni and Aloo Gobhi. Saag Paneer was best !!. Recommendation - Must try "Pani Puri". Also, from first impressions, I think best bet is Thali, as you get good options for right price. Overall, I would definitely go again, if somebody else is paying :)..

A little bright spot in my work trip to buckhead! This place was walking distance from my hotel (Westin) and mercifully accommodated my gluten free vegetarian diet (most of Atlanta doesn't seem to). Pakora was a bit too salty but really good. I also had the three bean salad which was a little weird (kinda like cold Indian chili on romaine) but pretty good. It was also quiet enough that I could retreat in the corner and read when I can in around 6 on a Tuesday. I'd imagine it would be a good place for a team dinner. Also, I'm a whiskey enthusiast and the Bloody Bulliet was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. Very polite and mostly attentive staff.

Best casual Indian food ever. Everything was prepared to perfection. First trip there but will be back soon. Great staff reasonable prices and menu that accommodates all tastes.

My fiance and I went here, when on a visit to Atlanta, for an early dinner. We ordered the thali - both vegetarian plus appetizers. We also ordered the mango lassi. First off, the decor is really nice. Something I can easily see as the decor for my future home. Very bohemian modern. The service was excellent. The waitress came by at least 4 times to make sure everything was to our liking. That being said...I ordered the alu tikki - which was actually really good. I enjoyed the tangy taste with the hearty garbanzo beans and the slightly dense and chewy potato "pancakes". It offered some nice textures to play around with. My fiance ordered the samosas. I didn't taste it but he didn't seem to like it too much. The thali I ordered was terrible. I ordered it with this yogurt based sauce and dumplings and the okra. While the portions were sizable, the yogurt sauce was horrible. I couldn't eat it. The okra was okay, albeit greasy. My fiance ordered the thali but with three sides. The makhani was okay - tasted a bit like vegetarian chili. I didn't bother with the other sides. We also ordered a side of the aloo paratha. That was pretty bad - it was oily and had virtually no flavor. The mango lassi actually tasted good so cheers to that. Overall, I wouldn't be coming back. I couldn't even pack it to go, it really didn't appeal to me.

We've been twice and enjoyed our first visit a tad more. Food was better first time as was service. Second visit we had to remind our server to bring our veg, our drinks and our naan; if we weren't the ONLY people in the place it may have been more understandable. But, she was really sweet and pleasant. I will say, our veg was really too salty, and I love salt. Regardless, this is a really great place for straight up Indian within a modern space and nice people. It's becoming a fave!

If you are going to charge $3 per naan, at least serve them fresh. The food is average at best, service poor, and prices higher compared to other Indian restaurants in town. The decor was decent. The goat curry was very salty. Overall disappointed with the visit and will not return. We visited the other location in Decatur twice and enjoyed it reasonably well.

I had the chicken curry & sag paneer. Both were delicious!! Our servers were very friendly and the aesthetics and vibe were great!! There were 10 of us, and half had never tried Indian food before that evening. Everyone left very satisfied!

Excellent take on Indian food, a good blend of American and Indian tastes. This is our go to place, the food has never disappointed us. I am very surprised by 3.5 stars given to this place, it definitely deserves more than 4!

I've been here twice on a Saturday night and enjoyed it both times. It's one of those fast-fancy places where the signature dish is plopped onto a tray from the slow cooker, although it's clear that there is extensive prep work before that happens. Service was great on the first visit, but on the second it really tanked and I'm not sure that I'll bother going back. When I foot the bill for 4 people I expect a certain standard, which probably lent to the annoyance - be that as it may. We were seated at five minutes past the hour and ignored for 20 minutes - didn't even get water. The tea candle burning out was an omen in hindsight. Our waiter took the order, and then in ten minutes everything appeared on the table all at once - water, drinks, appetizer, entrées. A blasting. The server who brought the first tray was kindly apologetic when I pointed out that we hadn't gotten water glasses, but our waiter was indifferent. Sure, it was a Saturday night, but after a few years of Yelping I've become more attuned to what is considered a minimum level of service and it's hard to argue that this was met. Three hostesses but not enough waiters. Go figure.

Bhojanic is not your typical hole in the wall Indian restaurant. Of course, it is located in Buckhead, aka "The Beverly Hills of The South", so I would not expect a no frills restaurant next to Lululemon and Neiman Marcus, haha. We visited Bhojanic for lunch. The lunch specials offered a good way to have a small sampling of several dishes. The lamb curry was smaller, but the quality of the dish made up for it. The lamb was deliciously marinated and tender. The naan was fresh and good. The ambiance is clean, modern, and beautifully decorated. Will I visit Bhojanic again the next time I am in Atlanta? Probably not. There are many other great places to eat in this food-obsessed city. However, if I lived in Atlanta and got to indulge in the amazing food everyday, then yes, I'd definitely dine here again. Tip: Khush (Happy) time on Wed-Fri, 5:30-7:30pm with live music and tapas specials.

I'm really conflicted about this review. I came here for lunch and when we arrived there was just one table seated. The server came quickly enough to explain the menu to us; I decided on the platter (it's similar to a bento box) with the chicken curry, rice and the saag paneer. The chicken was flavorful, although I only got 3 pieces swimming in sauce and the saag paneer is a better quality than I've had at other places. The tea that came with the lunch was absolutely delicious! It's like a home brewed with some foam on it. I've never had anything like it before! So why the low stars? Well, it took forever for everything to come out. People who were seated after us got their lunch before us. And an order of nan never even came out until the check arrived which took 2 requests for. The restaurant is not huge, and there were 3 people working the floor, so I really don't understand why this was a problem. We even mentioned it to the server and all she could do was mumble, yeah, sorry. Really? I really want to go back and chalk this up to a bad day of service.

Five stars. Yes, it was THAT good. Went there with four colleagues, three of which were from New Delhi, India, and we all loved it. The dishes were traditional Indian with a splash of fusion, but they did such a great job at preserving the authenticity of the dish. Everything was served nicely, presented beautifully on the serving ware, and piping hot. Easy on the spices so you can taste the food, but still know you were eating Lamb Curry. The service was amazing. Our waitress suggested certain dishes (both "tapas" and main course) and we loved each one. The appetizers are served tapas style and, yes, they even had a section of the menu reserved for "street food". Really, I can go on and on. Wine was half price bottles on Monday so we had two for the three of us, as two were having mixed drinks. This is one of those restaurants that I would recommend to anyone (carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans). Glad I went. You should too!!

My another favorite Indian Restaurant. I visited this place with my friends on a Saturday afternoon. The place was deserted and I had a feeling that it won't be that good. The best part of the place is that they have a thali system and they have a pretty good options as well. Being a vegetarian I went with "The Shakhahari" the Indian name for a vegetarian. The saag paneer and dal makhani were really good. The best part of the thali was the chapati. Of all the places I have been in Atlanta, this is the place had chapati. The overall appetizers and food quality was good. Overall ambience was good and the place is somehow different from the conventional Indian restaurant.

Terrible service. The food was way overpriced and way overcooked and way over-spiced. It's more like hipster touristy fare and even then, it's not too good. You'd be better served to go next door to Community BBQ, at least they don't pretend to be something they are not, which is this place.

Best Indian food in Atlanta hands down! Shrimp Curry is delicious....the Roti Canai is the best Chicken Tikka Masala you've ever had. Love the restaurant space, tucked away in the corner of Shops Around Lenox...and they have an awesome beer selection. Just go there!

So glad I discovered this place. I was just telling a friend the other day how I couldn't remember the last time I had amazing Indian food. Then I stumbled upon bhojanic. It's so refreshing to go to a nice Indian restaurant. Don't get me wrong I love some hole in the walls but every now and then a girl wants some atmosphere. The decor is bright and open with pops of color. Modernly Indian. They have a little patio space under a little overlay with string lights that is very pretty. I alway see big family dinners here towards the back, so they have room to accommodate your big party. Fun cocktails with all kinds of cool ingredients like ginger, cucumber, saffron, spicy but refreshing. Nice beer selection as well, hello chimay. Get the scallop curry!!!!!! There are soo many flavors going on that each bite is a new experience. The little pickle thing that comes with it isn't so much my taste. Appetizer I usually get is a potato cake with spicy green curry, chutney, and chickpeas on top. Yummy but spicy and very filling. You won't need the whole appetizer. Sharing is caring. Also had the chicken 65 and that was very tender. A great dish for someone just venturing into Indian cuisine. Everyone that has ever helped me here has been more than friendly. They are a family restaurant and it shows in how they care for their customers.

The best Indian restaurant in town. Period. Recommend the samosa and anything tandoor- their Thalis are awesome and great portions too.. Their dessert are the only dish which is not five star.. Otherwise great place. Will keep coming back.

Great food, ambience but service is much to be desired. The wait staff is very courteous and very pole but it's absolutely atrocious to have to wait over 30 mins for chaat and our meals. I will go back there again and perhaps say something next time, but if the management is reading these reviews they ought to do something about getting the food out in a more streamlined fashion!! The Kathi rolls are great and the thali is also phenomenal. The papri chaat is salty but the samosa chaat and pani puri is great. Overall a good experience but significantly tempered by the service. Oh one of the waitresses or managers looks like Kirsten Dunst and I'm a huge fan of the actress! Not great for kids even though we had one in our party but you can manage fairly well. Best for the romantic evening type so then the wait for service is worth it as you can prolong your date :)

Even though I live and work 5 minutes from Bhojanic Decatur, I was so excited for Bhojanic Buckhead to open! There can really never be too much of something so good, right? I had lunch there with a colleague during the first week they were open, and we opted to enjoy the beautiful patio seating. I did get a look inside, though, and the ambiance of the whole restaurant, inside and out, is very modern and cool, open and airy. It's got a really great feel to it. While we perused the menu, we sipped some tasty mango lassi thanks to a Facebook promotion they were doing leading up to the opening day. Seriously delicious lassi, perfect balance of sweet mango and creaminess, with just a hint of spice. We both ordered thalis, loaded down with saag paneer, chicken (she got curry, I got butter) and the most amazing little dumplings in sauce, Punjabi khadi. I seriously loved that sauce - I was just spooning it up like soup! If the khadi is a thali option when you're there, don't miss it! We also split an order of bhini masala okra, which was way spicier than I anticipated but still amazing. The thalis also come with chapati bread, rice, papadam, raita, and a little salad. So although the price of $9-14 (depending on what you get) might seem steep, I had more than enough for two generous meals. The quality of the food is just as high as the original Decatur location, and our lunch service could not have been better. Truly excellent lunch destination, and a great addition to the Buckhead dining scene!

Dericious Indian food! The menu can be confusing and to be honest, I don't remember what my dish was called, but it was part of the 2 meat and 1 veggie or 1 meat and 2 veggie lunch platter. It comes with some side dishes (very similar to bento boxes, except on a platter). I had the paneer (cheese) & peas and their spicy broccoli and potatoes. I don't like the cracker that comes with it but the nan flat bread are brought separately to the table - absolutely fantastic. The price is fairly reasonable, about $10, definitely coming back.

one of the overhyped indian restaurants in Atlanta...we ordered 4-5 dishes and none of them tasted good....the food was very bland..nowhere close to authentic indian taste...missing key spices badly...restaurant works only because of american clientele...wont come back again....

One bummer, no Butter Chicken but the Chicken tikka masala I had in it's place hit the spot. They were extremely busy and we had to end up sitting at the bar because the wait was about an hour. The atmosphere was trendy and clean, and the staff were friendly. My advise would be to think about reservations, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Coming from a non expert on Indian food...but with that disclosed I give my feedback. If I knew more about the food then it more than likely would get a 5 based on what people have been telling me for years about the other location. It is a great looking space in the shops around Lenox . Tucked away in a corner you will find a well decorated space. The interior designer who did this place knew what they were doing! Not over the top but just done well. Our waiter was great very attentive and informative. The other 3 peeps with me went with a plated dishes with multiple options...I believe this option is only at lunch.. I ordered a rice dish that was extremely spicy but excellent. If you are in to Indian I imagine this place will not disappoint at all! Nice date place if you don't mind smelling like garlic for a day. Hence the reason I stay away from Indian. Service check scene check food check ..give it a shot!

Great Thali options reasonably priced, espcially for Buckhead! The onion dumplings and saag paneer were great. The Chicken Tikka Masala was too. If you're around buckhead definitely give this place s hot ... hopefully they have Draggon's Milk on tap next time i'm there!

Beware! Restaurant is practicing shady billing. Check your receipts for higher prices than what's listed on the menu! Not cool and its an easy fix if the restaurant really wants to practice honest business and keep repeat customers. Manager not too sincere in his apology but credited 1 of our 3 "Grandma's Apple Pie" specialty moonshine drinks. It's the principle of the matter. I'm sure every table was charged at least $10-$15 more than advertised, you do the math. We had a good experience with friends (male bartender is awesome). however the aforementioned situation raises eyebrows, hence one star for shady billing. Bhojanic, do the right thing.

Love the new location in that ambience is great and they have lots of parking up front. Service was good to, but ordered a biryani for the first time and was a little disappointed with the preparation. Too many spices thrown in for my own liking, maybe that is the preparation they are known for. Not one bite went by that I did not get a strong taste of a cardamom pod or something else. I usually like everything else they have there though so will have to go back and give it another shot. Samosas were good and the davi puri as well. Friend of mine had a thali that was really good.

FINALLY an Indian restaurant in Atlanta that I love! I've been waiting for this place to open for the longest time as I'm a frequent lululemon shopper and have seen their "Opening Soon" signs for a very long time now. There is an upsetting lack of Indian food choices in the Buckhead area and I'm not always in the mood to drive to Decatur so I was counting the days until this place opened - even though I had no idea how long it would take. We finally got the chance to try this place out today and like I said, we loved it. My husband and I invited two friends to check out the place with us and we also had our one year old son with us. We had a reservation so we were seated immediately (I'd recommend making a reservation for Saturday nights as the place got packed immediately after we arrived). Our server was wonderful, attentive and helpful. Both my husband and I ordered the Bhojanic with Chicken Tikka Misala and I thought the chicken was cooked excellently. I also got the califlower/potato and the chickpea vegetables. I liked how the Thalis (the combination platters) allowed you to pick and choose multiple types of meat or vegetables instead of having to order family style like most Indian places. The combination platter comes with a tortilla-like bread as well as a wafer like bread, salad, and yogurt. My one year old loved the yogurt and tortilla bread that came with the combination platter. I was also impressed at the ability of our server to list out all the ingredients in the yogurt when I asked without having to ask the chef. Love the decor, love the service, and really love this place! I was getting so sick of having to travel to sketchy strip malls and sitting on broken chairs to eat authentic Indian food. Thanks Bhojanic, for the trendy atmosphere and the authentic food. We'll be back soon!

I am an Avid fan of Indian Cuisine, when I moved to Atlanta it was the 1st restaurant me and my best friend (a native Indian) visited. The location is right by Lenox mall, Atlanta's prime Buckhead area. If you're looking for a posh place to have some yummy cocktails and Indian food look no place else. The cocktails were delicious my favorite is their Pomegranate martini. For starters we always get the pakura and paneer...can I say mouthwatering. For entrees we always get the Thali's they are platters that allow you to mix and match a few of the Indian stews and have anywhere from 2-3 main stews, basmati rice, and salad, some of my favorites chicken tikka masala, goat curry, and saag paneer. I will say the food is delicious but its made for a non indian palette, Indian food is usually on the spicy side, which most of the food at Bhojanic is lacking. If you're looking for authentic spicy indian food this is not the place to try, nonetheless their food is great, their service is usually on the warm and welcoming side with the occasional ditz on my last few visits. All in All I have dined here at least 20 times, and I love it.

If I have someone visiting me and I have to take that person out for just one meal, this is the place. Best decor (among indian restaurants in Atlanta), good service, and awesome food. Have been to this place 4 times in last 4 months. To me, this is the best Indian restaurant in Atlanta area. Food is the same what you get at their decatur location. Most of the things they make/serve are good, e.g., neembu paani, aalu pratha, kathi roll, allu tikki, samosas, kadhi, rajma, okra, aalu gobhi, chilli paneer, shahi paneer, cakes, etcetera.

I have never had Indian food before and this truly blew me away. Went with a big group and had around 7-8 different small plates (fried hot peppers, potato cakes with chickpeas, Indian cheese and spices, can't remember the rest) and each one was AMAZING!!!!! So much so that the very next day I had to cook the same entree ( chicken tikka masala) I had in the restaurant, and still had to go back less than a week layer at their other location. I can't wait to go back, especially since I want to eat nothing but Indian food for the rest of my life!! Thanks Bhojanic

Highly recommend! We just moved to the area and we had our first Atlanta meal at Bhojanic. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive - they all seemed like good friends. The restaurant decor is chic and inviting. Best of all, the food is fantastic! We each had the combination plates which have generous portions of two or three main dishes (your choice) along with rice, naan, salad, etc. Great flavor and just enough spice. We will definitely be back often!

SPICE UP YOUR CULINARY LIFE at BHOJANIC Who doesn't love home cooking, especially when the foods are tasty, distinctive and quite memorable. Executive Chef and Owner Archna Becker brings her family's amazing recipes to life every day at her two Bhojanic locations - Decatur and Buckhead. The only difference between the two locations is in the interior design; Decatur is a bit more rustic - the original location near Emory- as compared to the alluring décor of Buckhead, which opened March 2013. No matter which place, both are all about the foods which are mind-boggling in every way driving the senses insanely wild from the first whiff of curry that fills the air to the final bite that makes one think about doing lunch at one of the Bhojanics the next day. The cooking style that Archna has incorporated into her foods comes from the State of Punjab in Northwestern India, which is known for their robust savory flavors. Located at the Around Lenox Shopping Complex, Bhojanic fits in nicely with Buckhead's resurging culinary landscape with its vibrant patio, live music, and of course their menu. To equal the flair of the foods coming from Archna's kitchens, Bhojanic's beverage team has created some tantalizing cocktails. Highly recommend the Ginger Smack, rightfully named for its muddled Serrano peppers and ginger that's infused with a housemade lemonade and Bombay Sapphire gin. Then there's the ultra-refreshing Bombay Kheera made with muddled cucumber and cilantro, a splash of Midori, coconut water, lemonade, and Bombay East gin that's infused with lemongrass and peppercorns. In addition to the exhilarating sippers, Bhojanic has assembled a spot-on beer list that highlights artesian-crafted beers with flavor profiles that varies from bold to mild. The malty, hoppy, bitter character of the brews adds a heightened distinction to these highly seasoned foods that are already intriguing Don't overlook the Houblon Chouffe - this Indian Pale Ale is simply astonishing. There is nothing boring or tasteless about the food offerings on Bhojanic's menu, no matter the choice you will hit a "six" (cricket's analogy to a home run). All of the foods are meant to be shared giving diners the opportunity to try different dishes that offer something uniquely diverse. The Alu Tikki is two potato patties that are deep fried adding a crispy crunch that's not in anyway greasy, and topped with a sassy chickpea curry, fresh mint, and a drizzle of tamarind chutney creating at least the first wow of the evening. Don't miss the popular Indian snack food, Chicken 65, which is chicken tenderloin that's marinated in a spiced yogurt and sautéed with mustard seed, curry leaves, and thinly sliced jalapeños, and finished with a dash of lemon juice - a total yum. In addition to the small plate offerings, there are some Chaat or street food offerings that makes the eating experience at Bhojanic both fun and personal, in other words finger foods. The puffed rounds that are mouth poppers known as Pani Puri are tapped opened and filled with a potato, chickpea mixture that's quite spicy, not hot, and then topped with a splash of tangy mint water- what an explosion of mouth-filling sensual flavors. Of the larger offerings consider one of the Byriani of the day. These one-dish meals are considered the "Dish of Kings" known for their rich contrasting flavors and aromatic seasonings. Rice is infused with various Indian spices including cardamom and saffron, then layered with vegetables or meat such as lamb; once assembled the dish is sprinkled with rose oil giving it a lushness that words can not describe. The Scallop Curry is pure ecstasy on a plate; if this item isn't on the menu, still ask for it. This otherworldly offering of scallops is like none other. Large fresh opulent U-10 scallops are sautéed in ghee (clarified butter) with tomato, garlic, and an onion curry and served with a rice pullao, papardam, and raita - absolutely delicious in every way. If this isn't enough there are the Thalis selections, a complete and satisfying meal with the likes of a chicken masala or curry and a choice of vegetables, highly recommend the Saag Paneer- creamed spinach and cheese - or the Alu Bengan - eggplant and onion in a rich garlic, tomato masala, no matter what you choose it will be unforgettable. To bring this culinary fantasy back to earth, do not miss the traditional Indian desserts, especially Rus Malai- cheese dumplings in a delectable saffron cream sauce, or the Daal Halwa- cooked lentils and butter with a perfect dash of spices and sugar - either brings the meal to a gentle closure. When tired of going to burger joints, or to one of the farm-to-table crazed eateries, Bhojanic has the right pep in all of its foods that will have you wondering why you have waited so long to taste food this good.

Enjoyed the small servings of dishes, allows you to choose more. Great ambiance, made an indian restaurant look fancy, which is rare! Veggie food was great, will definitely go back!

If you like mediocre overpriced Indian food this place is for you. After tasting some of their food at the Atlanta Food and Wine festival, I told my boyfriend (who is Indian) we had to try this place. We get half the Portions we normally do at Indian spots, the paneer was not good at all, and the tiki masala was oily. Take an extra 5 min to go down the road to Bombay Cafe where you can get much better food for the price. They also forgot to give us rice for our takeout order. Not impressed, will not be coming back.

Had lunch party of three, and great service. The food was good and the spice medium not too much heat.

Food was good. We were happy to be able to sit outside. We were a bit surprised that the condiments like mint chutney sauce were provided in such meager portions and they charged each time you asked for more for these low cost appetizers that we love to enjoy throughout our meal. Lamb curry and veg biriyani very good. Wheelchair and service dog friendly. Would recommend for those who hanker for Indian food. If you like spicy, you have to really emphasize, I asked, and for me, still mild. I am unusual in how hot I like dishes, so probably for most will be perfect.

Great food, awesome ambience. The consistency is phenomenal. I have been there quite a few times after it opened this year and not once was I disappointed. Try their chicken biryani, kathi roll, mango lassi and you are in for a foodgasm. The best part is that it is in a very good location and in the heart of buckhead.

Indian food never seems to fail me. It's consistently delicious. Bhojanic is my favorite. My three go to dishes are the Alu Tikki-Two crispy fried potaotoes topped with chickpea curry, cilantro and some kind of mint chutney. The various flavors give me a foodgasm every time. It's one of the best appetizers I've ever had. For my entree I go with the Chicken Masala. It's creamy and satisfying. I get a side order of the Saag Paneer- Creamed spinach with cubes of Indian cheese. It's such a rich, salty and comforting dish. Highly recommended. Another great reason, even above the terrific food, to visit the new Buckhead location is a server named Zosia. She isn't hard to miss. You'll see her sashaying around the place with her red hair and cute smile. She owns the dining room with sheer vibrancy. She's attentive, quick and very friendly. Do yourself a favor and request to sit in her section.

I was so happy when Bhojanic opened it's new location in Buckhead. We no longer have to trek over to Decatur for decent Indian food. and now we eat here or order take out almost once a week. The Aloo Tiki appetizer is amazing. My favorite things to order for the Thali are the chicken tikka masala, swag paneer and a loo gobi.

The only Indian restaurant we eat in Atlanta area. I personally prefer the setup at Clairmont Rd. but both locations serve great food. Service is a hit and miss. Highly recommend Bhojanic.

I go for the alu tikki: crispy potato patties topped with a delicious chickpea curry. It's on the tapas menu, and while you could share with someone (you get two), why would you? I also love their samosas. I'd like to try one of the chats next time. I've had the daal once, and it wasn't my favorite, which is odd (for me) since it's typically one of my go-to Indian restaurant orders. Today was the second time I've eaten there, and it was just as good this time. We were promptly greeted and seated by the friendly hostess, and the server came to us immediately with menus and to inquire if we'd eaten there before. He left us for a few minutes to decide, then took our order with a smile. Our food arrived in a reasonable time (this was a weekday lunch hour) and he checked on us to refill our waters and see how things were going. Overall the staff seem personable and efficient all around the restaurant, and the hostess thanked us for coming as we left. The place is open and airy, very clean, and parking is a breeze. You can choose to sit inside or out, and perhaps when the cooler temps of fall come back, I'll consider a patio seat. I'm so glad they're in Buckhead, and easy to get to!

I really liked this place. I went on a chill Sunday evening. Service was prompt and the food was tasty. I had tikka and curry chicken and black lentils. Very tasty meal for $21 with tax and gratuity and a chai tea. Cool atmosphere. I'd bring a date here. Only negative was even with a small crowd, I could tell it'd be very loud if it were packed. Me likey! I will be back.

In my opinion it can be pretty hard to find really good Indian food in Atlanta. When my friend suggested an Indian restaurant in Buckhead I was pretty skeptical. To my surprise I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I ordered the lamb curry which was very flavorful and a little spicy! It comes with large chunks of lamb and a lot of yummy curry sauce. The portion was pretty large, I had enough left over for lunch the next day. My only complaint: they seemed to be a little stingy with the rice, I wanted rice to go and the waiter made it seem like it was a difficult task. Other than that my service was very good, our server was attentive and checked on us several times. The prices are very reasonable and it is a casual atmosphere with a small outdoor dining area. My suggestion is to visit this little gem in Buckhead.

Worst experience we ever had. That was our second trip to this restaurant but they are using MSG or some kind of salt. I was up all night drinking water and peeing. I only can get thirsty with MSG. Stay away from this place, it is just waste of money. Decor is great but food standard has gone down the drain. I am an indian and i know how the food should taste like , it is cater towards American Gringos

We have been long time customers at bhojanic. So it irks me to write this review. But we have had more than one bad experience lately, and I had to give my feedback. We had an issue with our take out order a few months back and the owner Archna had called us and we were supposed to get some gift card in the mail. We never got this. Recently, we were at Bhojanic a few Saturdays ago. The manager had told us the wait was 30-40 minutes. We decided to wait at the bar. After a long wait and no one coming to check on us, we were thinking of ordering at the bar. But we decided to go ask once again about our table. We were told that it is ready, just being cleaned. We ended up leaving our seats at the bar, and had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes, again as the manager seemed to have completely forgot about us. We were in no mood for dinner by the time we finally got our table. Low and behold, even after we sat down and ordered, it took them FOREVER to bring out our food. The whole experience was completely disappointing and we will be thinking a million times before returning.

I went to this place to treat my friend for his b'day. He was new in town and craving for Indian food. I was scared before going because I didn't want it to be like any other indian place where food is great but ambience is not. I must say I was more than delighted. This place is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The ambience was great, food was good, there was live music and cocktails (specially the masala mojito) are a must try.

I have tried at least a dozen Indian restaurants in Atlanta. This is hands-down the best one. Anyone who says it is not authentic does not understand Indian food. Several of their dishes are not commonly found in Indian restaurants in the US, but they are dishes that are common in India - the tastes are authentic.

I liked the food I had and the service was passable. I found it interesting that the thali during dinner was cheaper than the individual entrees but at the same time happy about it because it meant I could have a full Indian meal ( like it is meant to be eaten) and not have to deal with the rice and chicken tikka masala for an entree crap I usually have at other Indian restaurants. Depending on what part of India you come from, this is either authentic Indian food or watered down. From my perspective, this was definitely authentic. Both the saag paneer and the chicken curry reminds me of my mother(*sniff*). The chapattits were fresh and warm and the raita was savory. The side salad with no dressing made my heart explode because that's what you can get in India. Well mostly. Again depends on where you are from. Overall satisfying meal and I had to take some of it home. It made for a satisfying lunch at work the next day as it retained a lot of it's flavor despite being reheated. I did notice that it was a bit empty for a Thursday night at 8pm. I hope they get more patrons. I wouldn't want to see a good thing disappear. What docked a star was the service. The wait staff ere polite but generally indifferent. Maybe they need to do something about either boosting morale or finding people who are a bit more cheerful.

Went for dinner. This was my first time, and I'm not a very experienced Indian food eater. My friend had been to the Decatur location before. The space is beautiful and modern and was buzzing with energy on a Saturday night. We asked to sit on the patio and honestly got a really strange response from the hostess so we took a small table inside. Their menu is LARGE and slightly overwhelming for the Indian food neophyte but our waiter was really helpful in making suggestions. We both went for the thali, make your own combination platter. I chose chicken tikka masala (DELICIOUS), the alu gobhi (a heavily spiced and tasty potato and cauliflower combo), and an onion dumpling ( in a really yummy sauce but the dumplings weren't very good). My friend went vegetarian with the Daal makhini (lentils which she clean plate clubbed), bhindi masala (sautéed okra and onion...SALTY), and also the potato cauliflower dish. Each platter was served with fresh bread, rice, a yogurt sauce, and a mixed bean salad. Our bill came to about $30, and bottom line it was a lot of food! Will definitely return to try some more options.
