Its not awful, but its definitely not good- and that applies to everything i had: burger, fries, and shake.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today. I didn't really study the menu. I saw they had a weekday lunch special- burger, fries and drink for 8.25. Easy breezy. I only had to wait about 10 minutes before my food was ready. The food itself was pretty good. The meat could have used a little more seasoning, but the grilled onions and lettuce and sauce made up for it. I chose sweet potato fries and they were very good. Nice and crispy. Portions were large, but not obscene. They have a few flatscreens with sports and music playing loud. I would return for a weekday lunch, though I doubt I would stop in for a weekend meal.

Instead of going here, just ball up 20 dollars and throw it into a fire. It will go to better use. My fiancé and I had a quite horrible experience here. These burgers are uninspired, overpriced nonsense. The order wasn't done correctly. The ingredients weren't fresh and tasted canned. The turkey burger patty is tiny and overlooked. It diets in the middle of their stale buns like a bullseye on a huge dart board. The fries weren't warm or seasoned. And the whole 6 person staff stood around while one guy tried to prepare all the orders. We will not be returning. I hope they shut this place down and give it to a better burger joint like Grub, a Flip, Smash, or Shake Shack.

Yuck, gross, never again. I came in on a Friday evening wanting a turkey burger. I only took 2 bites of that burger and I have no idea whether it was even poultry or not. It was grey with a weird after taste with something white that kept bubbling in the middle. There were some black Caramelized onions like they had been cooked 5 days beforehand and frozen them thawed. I had some homemade pickle with oregano? On them. Yuck! The kitchen was filthy and the cooks looked they were all still in high school. This was worse than what I could have gotten in Burger King for a 1.99

After a shopping trip at Atlantic Station for a Friday lunch break, my coworkers and I decided to grab a quick bite at a place we've all never tried before--The Burger Joint. When we arrived, there were barely any patrons in the restaurant so we thought we were lucky to beat the lunch crowd and quick be in and out. Boy, were we wrong. The ordering process was fairly efficient. There's a large menu posted on the wall, but when you walk to the counter, you see a sign for their Box Set special, available Monday - Friday. For less than $10, you get a burger, regular fries or side salad, and a soda. What a bargain! I ordered, grabbed my soda, and sat patiently waiting for my food. My coworkers and I started noticing the line growing longer and longer, and perhaps they were short staffed or not efficient, but our orders took at least 20 minutes before being called. Our orders took so long that one of my coworkers had to eventually request her meal to go as she would be late for a meeting. When my food was finally called, I really enjoyed it. The burger was hot, fresh, tasty and delicious and the fries were also very, very tasty! Aside from the wait, my only other qualm about this place is the sauce and drink station, awkwardly positioned in the area people pick up their food. The area is cramped and hard to maneuver, and I had to wait for two people to finish grabbing everything they needed before I could sneak my way in to grab a straw as there is no way all of us would fit in there. Other than that, the food was good and the staff is friendly. Not sure that I would return here for lunch, but I'd definitely go back at some point.

I stopped in for lunch a couple months ago and while there wasn't anything inherently awful, the place screams mediocre. It's your typical quasi-fast food situation, but there's a definite lacking in quality and the service is miles from stellar - more perfunctory than anything. The food took longer than I would have hoped considering I didn't want my burger well done and there wasn't a crowd in front of me. I think 30 minutes is a bit much to wait at a place like that. When it did come, I felt the expectations being dashed and the disappointment rising. All I wanted was a good burger. It wasn't the worst I've had by far, but it didn't taste fresh and there was absolutely no seasoning beyond what I added except for a salty filler in the meat. It came with a mountain of fries which can be described as above average, but terribly greasy. I found myself eager to finish and leave. I wanted to like this place, but I didn't and while I'm always up for giving something another try, I can say honestly that I won't return any time soon.

We checked out the menu on the board and decided to split a beef burger and also try the veggie burger. I also wanted to checkout the hot dog so we decided to split that and I ordered fries and Melanie ordered onion rings. We ordered and got our drinks. They have a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine (which I love), and I got a Diet Coke Lime. Bad decision, it was horrible. I ended up with a Sprite Zero Cherry and it hit the spot. Our food soon arrived and I cut both burgers in half with a knife. The fries were unimpressive and obviously dropped right out of the freezer bag and into the fryer. The same token, for $4 we got 5 onion rings of varying sizes from the size of your fist down to the size of a silver dollar. The beef burger wasn't bad but there was nothing that screamed "best burger in Atlanta" to me. Hey, it's a $6 burger and you get exactly what you pay for. The veggie burger just tasted like a mouthful of rice. It was dry and devoid of any flavor. The hot dog was the redeemer here. Big, beefy and tasted like the grill. If you go to BGR The Burger Joint, get the hot dog. BGR The Burger Joint isn't bad, it's average but who wants to eat average food? We want spectacular, right? The search continues. If you're at Atlantic Station and looking for your typical burger, you might like BGR The Burger Joint. As for us, we'll keep looking for something better. Guten appetit.

Meh is the right word. I decided to try this place for lunch one day. This place emphasizes how saturated the Atlanta market is with burger joints. Typical burger joint system - order at the counter and pick up when ready. BGR's main selling point is prime, dry-aged burgers grilled over an OPEN FLAME. It reminds me of Burger King. I order The Burger wrapped in lettuce and a side of parmesan fries with a water. I was given the buzzy thing and sent on my way. I grabbed my drink and sat at one of the cool "retro and industrial" tables. My single order took 20 minutes to make. The Burger - prime, dry-aged beef with lettuce, onion and tomato wrapped in more lettuce served with parmesan fries. ^ Meh. The burger lacked any flavor. The the burger wasn't wrapped in lettuce, but instead served on top of the lettuce, It ended up being a giant, flavorless mess. And my fries weren't seasoned with parmesan or anything else. Copious amounts of salt were added in an attempt to flavor them. All to no avail. For $10, I'll cut my losses and move on.

Went here to satisfy a burger craving. I made my own burger with lettuce, onion, mojo, american cheese and bacon with a medium burger patty. My other friends got the greek and chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were really good, but I didn't like the fact that fries were extra. My burger was good except it felt cold but then I realized that the bun was cold, and that all of out burger buns were cold. I wish it was toasted or at least served warm. I did enjoy that they cooked my burger to a perfect medium and my bacon was just the right amount of chew and not burnt and crunchy. As I was looking around I noticed that there score was a 100 but then as I looked closer I saw that the last time it was inspected or whatever was in Jan of last year and there food permit was expired (Jan-8-15). Im not sure how I feel about that or if I just read it wrong but take a look for yourself. Service:5 (great employees) Food:3.5 (lacked flavor) Decor:3.5 ( a lil dirty looking)

Pretty much BGR is a typical burger place found in Atlantic Station that you can grab a quick burger from... There's nothing exceptional or different about them than most burger places... When we walked in the first thing I noticed was the smell of the frying oil...it almost makes you think they were using old oil, and I was worried about ordering something fried, but the fried foods were the things that came out decent. I ended up ordering the veggie burger and onion rings and my friend ordered their strange turkey burger and fries. I was upset I didn't look at the pictures online because I would've seen that they serve ginormous onion rings, which I'm not overly fond of. They gave us buzzers so we could pick our food up from the counter. They also have the awful coke freestyle machine (I detest those machines) so you can choose whatever soda you want. When my buzzer went off and I got up to go get my food...I scrapped my chair on the floor... and Oh my freaking crap... never scrap your chair on the floor... the noise is terrible. Anyway I get my food and notice a sauce on my burger... I asked what was it, and the guy behind the counter says bbq sauce, I'm like really. And he says it was on the menu... and I know I'm looking confused, because he asks was I okay with the bbq sauce and I tell him yeah it's fine. But just to make sure I wasn't crazy I went to check the giant menu board again and nowhere under the veggie burger description do I see bbq sauce coming on the burger... So I was glad I wasn't crazy and also glad the bbq didn't taste bad so I forgave their odd slip up. After my friend gets her food... and stacks my onion rings... because at first they were laid out on my tray like crop circles, we dig in.... I stare at my friend's turkey burger... it was unusually pale and weird looking, but we chalked that up to the cheese and mushrooms mixed in with the meat... She said the taste was okay, but that is one of the most unappealing looking burgers I've ever seen. So everything tasted okay (including my veggie burger with the crispy charred edges), but we were a bit unhappy that our burgers were only lukewarm compared to our super hot fried foods. I think someone messed up on the timing of the orders because I'd prefer a much hotter burger to fries any day. And their practice of stabbing the tickets to the burger is a turn off... how many hands has touched that ticket and where has it been placed that you stab it to the top of my bun that's going in my mouth. So if we ever go back here (and that's kinda doubtful) since I know they do this... I'll ask that they not stab my ticket to the top of my food.... placing it on the side works just as well. So overall... it was just an okay experience. We only came here to try something different in Atlantic Station, and we didn't have much time before our movie. And like I said, we may or may not come back... It probably was new staff and that's why there were some kinks to our visit, but either way... It wasn't great, but it was awful either... so I'll just remain in the middle on this joint.

Have not gotten my food YET... Soooo hungry. This looks like a fast food type joint but I ordered at 3:22pm and it is over 20 MINUTES later!!! I'm on a lunch break. Absolutely would have gone ANYWHERE else if I had known it was going to take my entire lunch break just to get my food. Now once I do get it I will have to rush. I am SOOOO HUNGRY!!!! Omg I really hope this chicken sandwich is worth this wait...

Came in for lunch after touring BODIES exhibit. For starters there is nothing amazing or special about these burgers and fries. Dont get me wrong, it was worth the price considering the distance from where i live. The beef was grilled on the spot. Once ready, your pager would sound. The burger was average but kept me full till dinnertime..could barely eat the fries! One thing that caught my attention in a bad way was the way one of the employees treated my friend. He was giving her attitude when he walked around looking for the person with her order number. She wasnt aware what was happening and when she got his attention he wasnt too happy about it. Also, when ordering make sure you know how you want your beef cooked, and exactly what you want and any add ons. He will make you feel dumb by listing out every little thing. (Just my personal opinion). Be careful what you choose to add on, some cost $50-$1+ while others such as lettuce, tomato, pickle are FREE. Who doesnt like free add ons! Overall an okay experience. I dont think ill come back the next time im in the area; but if youre craving a burger that will keep you full for a couple of hours, can get past the unpleasant employees, and kind of pricey choices, this is the place for you. I enjoyed it (kinda) and you will too

The Burger Joint gives you enough beef to count as a full meal, not a grab'n'go situation. I ended up eating half at the restaurant and half later because I wasn't hungry. You get your money's worth! I love these burgers are made to order, from pink to crispy. My wife order the Wellington ($8.96) with sweet potato fries ($3.75). The burger was topped with caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, black truffles and blue cheese crumbles. This burger melts in your mouth! The fries were sliced to the perfect size and they didn't need to be dipped in anything. The mushrooms didn't reheat well but even the bun was crisp. I ordered the Triple D ($7.95) which came with bacon, egg, and cheese on a fresh, made to order burger. This delicious feast is not on the regular menu, this burger is so in demand, they will make it for you. Ask and you shall receive. This is my first visit to the Burger Joint and I'll be back.

BGR - The Burger Joint opened Summer 2012, overtaking the former Doc Green's space in the ever-changing landscape of Atlantic Station. I was disappointed to see Doc Green's go because it was one of the healthier food options in the development. When The Burger Joint opened, I thought to myself, "not another burger joint." Flip Burger, Yeah! Burger, Bocado, and the Vortex are all within two miles of Atlantic Station. Grindhouse Killer Burgers and Googie Burger are about three miles away. That's plenty of good burger options and unfortunately for The Burger Joint, they are all better. The Burger Joint has over 20 locations nationwide, stretching from California to New York. This location in Atlantic Station is so far the only one in Georgia. Many lackluster reviews steered me away until I received a birthday gift certificate in the mail. I have no idea how I got on the restaurant's mailing list. The gift certificate was good for one free burger (any kind) during my birth month. As is probably intended for restaurant gift certificates, off I went with others in tow. The restaurant has an open, casual setup. Minimal, modern decor with indoor and outdoor seating. The kitchen is completely open and in full view of the customers, so that's cool. You can see all the meats being grilled over an open flame. You order upfront and pick up at the kitchen counter when your order is ready. Drinks, silverware, condiments, etc. are self-serve. Drinks are served out of a single Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Unless you order the weekday lunch special known as "The Box Set" (available Mon-Fri, 11am-2pm), expect to spend $11+ for a burger, fries, and fountain drink. The Box Set gets you a regular burger, regular fries, and fountain drink for $8.49. If you don't come when The Box Set is available, everything on the menu is only available a la carte. In other words, you have to order the burger, side, and drink separately. A regular burger starts at $6.49, a regular fries is $2.29, and a fountain drink is $2.25, so you can see how the prices add up quick for a burger, fries, and Coke. There are specialty burgers ($8.49+ each) which include ahi tuna and lobster. Sweet potato fries ($2.99), grilled asparagus, and onion rings (both $3.49 each) are also available as sides. Milkshakes are available for $4.99 each. I don't believe the beef is grass-fed, but it is dry-aged and hormone free, so that counts for something. Everything is cooked fresh to order. I tried the following: Burgers: Greek Burger - ground leg of lamb seasoned with cumin, mint, garlic and topped with tzatziki and feta Turkey Burger - blended with portabello mushrooms and gorgonzola cheese Sides: Sweet potato fries Grilled asparagus Onion Rings The burgers were humongous. Everything about them was huge and thick, from the patties to the buns to the slices of tomato. Holy crap. Needless to say, they were filling and messy to eat. Not only were the burgers ginormous, but so were the onion rings. I've eaten a lot of onion rings over my lifetime and The Burger Joint easily takes the cake for biggest onion rings. Look at how they dwarf this burger: yelp.com/biz_photos/bgr-… . Generally, the burgers were okay. The Turkey Burger patty was loose, falling apart even. The ingredients in the patty were roughly blended together. The ground lamb in the Greek Burger was hearty. I asked for it to be cooked medium, but it definitely came off the grill well-done. One of the edges of the patty was burnt to a crisp, evident both visually and in taste and texture. Not only was the lamb burnt, but so were several pieces of the grilled asparagus. Burnt mostly to black, in fact: yelp.com/biz_photos/bgr-… . Be sure to ask for lettuce, onion, tomato, etc. specifically if you want those toppings because they won't ask you. A plentiful amount of sweet potato fries comes in one order, so you may consider splitting it. The sweet potato fries are soft, dense, and not very salty. The aforementioned huge onion rings consist of mostly batter. Service is fine. The menu says to be patient since all burgers are cooked to order. On a busy Saturday afternoon, it did not take long for our orders to be cooked. Overall, I give BGR - The Burger Joint 2.5 stars, generously rounded up to 3. Parking in the Atlantic Station deck is free for the first two hours.

The best thing about this place was the cleanliness. It had the excitement of a funeral home in there though! Everyone looked ready to go home and to get off of their shift. It could be a bit happier and more exciting in there for a burger joint! The classic burger was decent, but did taste frozen and the pricing was decent. It's just okay.

This place was pretty average. My 9 year old son and I were heading to the movie theater next door and stopped in to share a burger and fries. We ordered the turkey burger and it was pretty good. They incorporate largely chopped mushrooms and Gorgonzola into the burger which gives it a slightly odd consistency . It tasted pretty good though and my son actually ate it, which was a surprise. I would possibly go back if I was in the area and craving a burger, but it isn't a place I'd make a trip for.

I'm struggling to see how this place has remained in business. While the food is good (nothing to write home about), they treat their customers horribly! I rolled into BGR at about 8:45 PM...15 minutes before they close. The staff acted annoyed that I was placing an order. I placed my order...a burger, fries, and a drink. A pretty simple order, in my opinion, for a place named BGR. I waited for 30 minutes for that burger and fries. After picking up my order, I asked for condiments. I was told they were out of ketchup (at a place called BGR). I asked for steak sauce. I was told they were out of that too (at a place called BGR). I asked for mustard. You guessed it...out of mustard too (at a place called BGR). I grabbed my bag of food and tried to leave, but the door was locked. None of the staff offered to open it so I searched for a second exit and managed to escape. Once outside, I found a spot to sit, opened my bag, and realized that they had messed up my order. Of course, I could not go back in to the business because the doors were locked and they were closed. This will be my last visit to BGR! Maybe they'll open a really great "burger joint" at this location as soon as this one goes out of business!

I tried this place out last Saturday & I must say $39 for 2 burgers, 1 reg & 1 sweet fries, 1 coke & 1 strawberry shake was is bit pricey ESP., cause it was nothing superb about this burger. I would of preferred driving to get a Ghetto Burger, Vertox. Especially, after having this the only thing I put on my stomach the entire day but, late during the nite/early morning...I woke up with a tummy ache! Urghhh!!!!

For a city with such great burger choices, this is definitely a disappointment. I will not be going back. First off, the place needs a major cleaning. Bathrooms were pretty gross and the whole place smelled weird. I don't know how to describe it but it wasn't nice. The tables are all squished together and unless you like eating on top of your neighbors, go outside as the outside table are nicer. Several of the tables were not clean. Service was subpar. Cashier was not that friendly. Took about 15 minutes for food to come out. Food was ok at best. Burger was decent but they have no special types of sauces or anything so it was rather plain. Ordered sweet potato fries but got regular instead. Was not going to make a fuss. The fries tasted like freezer fries you get at Publix or Kroger, nothing special. Overall, with Yeah Burger, Grindhouse, Vortex, Flip, and others, you are much better served going elsewhere.

Pricey. Too pricey for the quality. And the quantity as a matter of fact. Of all the "gourmet" burger joints in Atlanta (Farm Burger, Flip, Yeah!, Grindhouse, etc.), BGR is probably the most disappointing. On my last visit I had the "Wellington" burger (which is a beef patty, topped with "roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic with a touch of mustard seed and blue cheese all atop our burger") and the BF had the "Greek" (which is ground lamb, "seasoned with cumin, mint and garlic, and topped with tzatziki sauce and feta cheese"). We also had a side of the garlic fries, regular fries, and two fountain drinks. All together it was upwards of $35 something. Yikes. If only the food was worth that price. The burgers are tiny, nearly half the size of those at 'Farm Burger'. The Greek burger was nice, definitely the best out of the two, I found the Wellington to be quite salty, and the bleu cheese a little too overwhelming. The fries were okay - reminiscent of the fries you'd get at fast food restaurant. Bottom line, with all the other burgers Atlanta has to offer, this place falls short.

  • Samantha H.

Rounding up, I would give BGR three stars. Compared it it's competitors in the neighborhood, it's definitely nothing to brag about. However, that's not to say the food is terrible. I would say the worst part is that their fries taste like they pulled them straight from the publix freezer across the street. I got the box set lunch special -- a plain burger, drink, and fries for $8.25. I wish the bun for the burger was toasted, but I do like the meatiness of a thick burger. I didn't find it terribly under seasoned but did venture a bit on the dry side. Without the lunch special, I don't think I would come back but if I'm craving a burger during work, this is just the place!

Worse turkey burger ever...was made from different textures. I threw it the small portion I ate up. For it to not have been busy you'd think it would take 15mins...it took almost 35 for me to get..wasted time and money. Never again.

  • Kelsi V.

Eh, both times I've eaten here the burgers are just okay. I eat turkey burgers and this one is just not ideal. It has mushrooms mixed within which seems like it would be good but it just makes the burger itself not well put together. Flavor is just okay and texture just throws me off. In addition to just okay burger the price throws it off even more. I probably won't be back anytime soon even though I live nearby.

My office had lunch delivered from here. To start, 50% of the order was wrong. We called them and what seemed like forever, they delivered the missed items. The grilled chicken sandwich was ok but the lettuce was inedible. It was so wilted and rubbery. Hard to believe but those who had burger said same. The bun had so much butter it was soggy. The French fries had no seasoning. All in all, no good.

How would've you like your burgers? Medium Rare. 20 mins later? Received well done burgers. Over cooked. Tastes like the kind of burger that you would get from hotel room service. But ... hotel room service doesn't usually over cook your food. Don't get me wrong. It's no Amy's Baking Company. It's not horrible. It's simply not very good.

Meh, just meh. Didn't look at reviews before we went and bad mistake. I always trust my fellow yelpers and u have failed to do so today! It was 2:30pm on a Wednesday and pretty empty. The kitchen was horribly dirty. For how slow they were you think they could have cleaned the place up a bit. We ordered anyway and the waiter was decent and they got our order right. Fries were typical fries, nothing special but they were fresh and hot so that's always a plus. The burger looked good but wasn't. Good flavor but way too salty. :/ the grilled pineapple was nice but very small. The bacon was more than expected! Nice, thick, and cooked to perfection! Not skimpy soggy bacon I've had at other places. The burger buns looked old and wrinkly. They did have them toasted a bit with butter but presentation wasn't pretty. My friends didn't say much about theirs, I think they were pretty unimpressed. Overall I wouldn't go back. For two burgers, two drinks, and one fry to total up to $24!!!, no thanks, I'll stick to Five Guys!

Mixed feelings on this place. My burger was yummy. But...they were out of the shake flavor I wanted, out of change in the register, and the line moved SO slow. Service just wasn't up to par.

We happened in just before closing time, but were greeted patiently and with smiles just the same. The menu was a big board on the wall with all the many different burgers and toppings that you come to expect at a restaurant that is devoted to a gourmet burger. We both ordered The Legend with The Works. Hubby doubled his and added a couple of different cheeses and bacon. I found it just a bit interesting that we were not asked how we wanted our burgers, but that they were automatically put in as "Well Done." The burgers came out rather quickly and they were very well done. As one who likes a well seasoned burger, I have to say that I found the burger just to be okay. However, the toppings made the difference. A single order of fries were certainly enough to share between the two of us. I liked that they had the "cola bar" with all the hundreds (I may be exaggerating.) of colas to choose from. As we had come in near closing, of course, closing activities were going on around us. Chairs being placed on tables, trash being emptied, the floor being swept and so on. However, it did not diminish the experience for us. Oh...and we enjoyed the music selection as well.

This was my first visit to a BGR restaurant. I decided to try the Turkey burger. Other turkey burgers can sometimes be bland and dry, however, I was very pleased with the flavor and texture of the patty at BGR. Also, the service was top notch with Sharice taking the time to explain the menu and making suggestions that assisted me with my meal choice. I will definitely return to this location whenever I am at Atlantic Station.

Purchased - Reg burger, doubled with cheese - Reg fries with parm and rosemary - Fountain drink Overpriced for what you get. Burger was juicy but could be due to it being undercooked. Grease haze as soon as you enter. The addition of parm and rosemary to the fries is an obvious after thought (comparing it to smash fries at smash burger). When you double the meat you should double the cheese. Ice tea wasn't very good because it's that golden peak tea too processed. Their are many other options in the Atlantic station area, but if you need a quick bite to fill you up and dont want to get stuck eating at the movie theatre, then BGR is alright. If you are looking for a good burger in Atlanta, there are many other places better, Overall I felt greasy after eating there.

Stopped in while doing some last minute xmas shopping. First time visit, place was refreshing organize and clean. I had the basic cheeseburger fries and the melt & in mouth chocolate cookie. Th burger was juicy, service was great. I appreciate the craftmen of each individual open flame burger. Manager even came out and checked on everyone in the dinningroom. Superior customer service!!!

A vegetarian, a meat-eater, and a cannibal walk into a burger joint, the vegetarian orders a veggie burger, the other orders beef, than the counter person asks the cannibal "anything for you?", he replies, "no thanks, i'll wait till they're done." I would have made a great meal after visiting BGR and eating their veggie burger! BGR serves up a mighty fine veggie burger. It is made in house using brown rice, black beans, oats, and molasses. The burger is flame grilled, and the combination of molasses and slight char make for a great tasting sandwich. I prefer strong tastes such as deep reds, black coffee, dark beers, and maduro cigars, so i will also say that some may not appreciate the char on the veggie burger, as it may overwhelm the other flavors. The sweetness is also very present, which I liked, but others may not. I would say in my opininion it is one of the better veggie burgers from the burger joints. Asparagus "fries" were done perfectly. Beer on tap, Bud Light $2.50. Yay, I'm a fan!

Their turkey burgers are really good! The food here is pretty great. It's the service sometimes. I usually call ahead to place my order and pick up and they usually forget something (like toppings). It is a little annoying because I don't realize it until I get home! The place is a little pricey, so it would just be nice to get what I paid for. The workers there seem to have attitudes at times.

Had a taste for a turkey burger and sweet potato fries, so I decided to check this place out. I waited about 10 minutes just to attempt to place an order and still never made it to the cashier - you would think it were 20 people ahead of me, but no, it was about 5. I decided to spend my time in line reading reviews from other fellow yelpers about BGR while I waited. So after reading 6 reviews,10 minutes later and still no where near placing an order, I decided to leave. It was hard, because I really wanted that Turkey Burger...

First impressions are key to creating a good customer experience. I decided to eat here because the sign outside the door read "free movie ticket with purchase of a burger". I was planning on seeing a movie while I was there, so why not? After I placed my order and was about to pay, I asked what was up with the free movie ticket and was told what I ordered didn't qualify for the free ticket. I feel that management should train their staff on how to properly explain promotions and up-sell to customers. I was open to ordering something else if I needed to, but the option wasn't presented to me. Bad first impression, but I was already there, so... As for the service, I wouldn't recommend this place before going to a movie because it took 15-20 minutes for me to get my food. This was on a slow Monday afternoon, so I can't imagine what it would be like if it were a busy Friday or Saturday night. I ordered the veggie burger. The patty was lukewarm, not hot enough to fully melt the cheese and it was very crumbly. I left almost half of it on the plate. The fries were delicious...and hot, but don't expect your typical french fries, these were coated with some seasoning of sorts, still good though. Sorry, I can only give this place 3 stars. Step up your customer service and speed, especially since you're in a shopping complex with a movie theater. Customers are going to expect good hot food and fast service...and yeah, their movie tickets if that's what you're advertising. Good luck!

YUMS. Another burger joint, literally. Order in line, and get food at the table. This one is in the heart of Midtown. Not your dress-up restaurant, more like fast food type place. Get the Wellington Burger. SO GOOD YOUR BODY MELTS EATING IT. Pahahahaa! The Wellington - Roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic with a touch of mustard seed and blue cheese all atop our burger. Served on a fresh, buttery-toasted brioche bun with our mojo sauce. Tip: Don't get the milkshakes. Nothing special. Go next door to Which Wich and get a Chocolate Oreo Milkshake. I PROMISE YOU, you'll msg me and thank me later. ;)

I came here with my roommate after shopping around in Atlantic Station. I was kinda excited because we just made the happy hour, until I realized that the happy hour has the SAME PRICES as their normal menu.....??? It doesn't make sense... I went for the double cheeseburger, I was eager to compare it to my recent binges at seven lamps and brown bag. I got everything on the double cheeseburger (grilled onions, way too big lettuce leaf, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese ($1 extra), and their special mojo sauce (mayo)). It was a decent burger---what you would expect from a double cheeseburger. I would say almost as good as five guys or the like. It didn't come with any sides and it was ~$8.50. The veggie burger (w/o cheese) was ~$1 less than my double cheeseburger and about 1/2 as much food. I was filled up after my meal, but my roommate left a little hungry after spending ~$7.50; I didn't try it myself. If you're going just for the food (not the convenience of Atlantic Station) I would say spend $3-4 more for a nice gourmet big-mac style burger at seven lamps or get the greasy yummy $5-6 at brown bag---although my favorite is still prob H&F.......although I can never say no to a double cheeseburger from McDonalds =X. I still think that the 'eat play work' of Atlantic Station should be 'play work' because there aren't any restaurants worth going out of your way for at Atlantic Station which makes me very sad because I love the area.

If I could give this place a No Star rating then I would. The employees are worst than your substandard fast food workers and they can't speak the English language properly to save themselves. If we saw the reviews before coming in, then we would have gone someplace else, the food is bland as hell, the burger had no taste to it and it was not what I was expecting, for a 42.00 tab for 3kids meals, 5 sodas and 2 burger combos it should have been the best burger ever. The gnats are ridiculous, I never had to swap so many gnats inside of a restaurant before, the sodas were subpar. I've honestly had better burgers at Wendy's and Five Guys than this place, the tables where dirty and no one came out to clean the tables after the customers left. Unprofessional is a lack of better words. Beware do not eat there if your looking for a good burger.

I was surprised at the short wait on a Saturday night so I had pretty low expectations but I really liked the burgers. I had the turkey burger which was very moist and flavorful. My husband had one with a fried egg and bacon which was also pretty good. The fries were not my favorite but weren't bad.

Sadly, this place charges a lot for a 'meh' burger. The flavor of the burgers are pretty bland. I had bacon on mine, the bacon it self was undercooked (yuck). My wife asked for no dijon mustard but they placed it on anyway. With fries and a drink, we ended up spending $30! (for 2 burgers)... Definitely not worth the money. One a positive note, they do have good fries and a Coke Freestyle machine inside. Over all, I can not reccomend this location. 2 out of 5

Kinda price for a burger expect to put our for an entire meal. Good burgers though. I love the Wellington with Parmesan and Garlic fries! Extra good! Super good stuff! Love it. Good onion rings too. Line can get serious, I usually call in my order.

This place was just okay to me. Nothing to call home and tell my mom about. I had the sliders and my partner had a regular burger cooked medium well. He enjoyed his but wasn't overly impressed. The fries were delicious tho. My favorite part of the entire visit was the Coke machine that has the touch screen with all of the different options. I love those. Oh yea, they also have about 3 or 4 tv's. The dining area is great for large parties also.

This place was horrible!!! The only thing amazing here is that they are still open for business. Food is way overpriced for a crappy burger. Walk two blocks to Yardhouse for a better burger. Seriously, the food here sucks.

I wasn't expecting much from this unassuming burger joint in Atlantic Station, but in end it's not a bad option if you're in the mood for a burger. I ordered the $9 Cuban which was topped with pork, ham, and sweet pickles. The burger itself was juicy and the toppings made the whole experience even better. I ordered fries with roasted garlic and I thought it was hilarious they just sprinkled some garlic cloves on top. The fries themselves were fine. This spot does serve beer, which is a nice option if you're in the mood. The beer list had some local brews on it, which was nice. Most chains stick with domestic lagers, so I was happy this place went beyond that. If you're looking for a quick and fairly inexpensive burger meal, this is a good spot to check out.

Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon after a rough Saturday night. Friend and I were really hungry and on a time crunch. We popped into BGR and it was overall it was decent. You order your food at the register, pay, and then sit down with a buzzer to signal when your food is ready. I ordered a plain burger with cheese and some condiments and well-done, friend ordered a specialty burger, well-done, and we both ordered a drink and a side of fries, and the total was about $28. My burger was cooked medium, not well. I thought maybe I had ordered that way, and double-checked the receipt, and it clearly said well-done. My friends' burger was ordered well-done and it was definitely cooked well-done. I would have taken it back, but it had taken awhile to get it and we didn't have time to reorder, so I just sucked it up, averted my eyes (story of my life) and ate it as is. Burger: Besides being not cooked as specified, it was decent. My friend raved about how good his burger was and neither of us could finish the entire burgers. Fries: These were hot and fresh. Really good. Service: It is a bit slow. We were there on an off-time with only a handful of other people and it probably took 25 minutes to get our burgers after ordering them. Value: This is tough. The burgers were decent, but the décor and location and the fact that it's not a "sit-down" restaurant makes the prices feel a little high.

  • Tiff H.

Trendy little burger joint in Atlantic Station. My burger was pretty good, hearty and just what I needed after a beer festival without food. It's a little pricey, but cheaper than any of the sit-down restaurants in Atlantic Station. I ordered "The Legend" burger so I could customize it easily. However all the customizations added up to a hefty check for just a burger, drink, and fries...

I'm leery of anywhere that claims to have Atlanta's best burger (you know, since we have like a million different burger places). "The Burger" was better than I expected. I added cheese and got everything on it. Super nomz. Next time I'll probably skip the fries and try something else. Kathleen M. is absolutely right about the lunch special. They call it "The Box Set." Definitely the best deal, but it's only available from 11 AM - 2 PM on weekdays. Plan around that and you should be set.

Burgers were pretty tasty, cooked to order, however they took far longer to come out than other, better, burger places like Farm Burger. Definitely pricey for what I received and an order of fries in particular were outrageously priced for a mere handful.

Short version: If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible food, terrible service. Won't be back. Longer but better version: The venue itself is decent enough- it has a five guys look. We walked in greeted to the backside of the cashier more interested in his cell phone and the conversation with the cook and another girl (short with blonde and black hair) so we waited patiently until he finally turned around. He took our order, I wasn't sure what I wanted and was hoping he'd make recommendations on what was good. That's fine that he didn't, not his job. They give you these devices that buzz when your food is ready and you go up to the counter to get it yourself. Simple enough. I got a medium rare burger with cheddar and avocado. Big mistake. The avocado is TERRIBLE. Unless you like mushy guacamole on your burger instead of freshly chopped avocado, stay away. The burger itself had no flavor and I barely ate any of it because I was so over how the avocado was carelessly slopped on the bun like spackle on a wall. The fries were ok and I ate most of those. My boyfriend got one of their signature burgers with the fried egg which is normally fool proof but to his dismay, overcooked and no flavor. -sigh- We could barely hear ourselves talking to each other at the table because the crew was so loud and had no regard for their patrons. I will say again: they were LOUD. So loud that I found out about some drama between the girl and the other guy. The cashier was loud but did try to tell them to be quiet but of course, who cared? I observed a guy walk to the counter trying his best to get their attention and he was completely ignored. You could've stolen the register with that kind of negligence! Well i'm exaggerating but you get the point. They just didn't care and I just don't care to give my money to a place that doesn't care. Especially for mediocre food. I will not be back.

The burger is big and greasy, the service is friendly enough, the prices are astonishingly high. I'm glad I came at lunch, as they've got a lunch special combo that includes a burger, fries, and a drink for about $9. Otherwise it looks like you'lll be paying about twice that for a meal at any other time. Most of the burger run between $8 and $12, and that doesn't include a side item. I'm willing to pay that for an awesome burger with awesome service from an awesome locally owned business, but this isn't it. I'd put my cheeseburger on par with Five Guys, not Farm Burger. And the other burgers on the menu just didn't appeal to me: I much prefer the a la carte fixins to pre-established flavor profiles. The decor is fine but kind of disjointed: they had random album covers on the wall and it just felt very fast foodish. I'm sure it'll do fine at Atlantic Station, and my burger was good enough that I'd come back if I was starving before a movie, but only at lunch. Otherwise this place is grossly overpriced.

I'm normally not a huge burger eater but this place created a huge buzz around our condo at Atlantic Station so the wife and I went to see what all the hype was about and gave it a shot. I ordered the standard burger lunch special and she being a vegetarian opted for the only item offered to "her kind"; the vegi burger. Great lunch special deal with the side item and drink for about $9. My burger was worth a repeat so we've visited the place another 3-4 times since that first visit. Would prefer less greasy fries but they're fries and every time we're in there is during their lunch rush. Recommend it; burger was every bit competitive or better than Yeah Burger IMO.

I appreciate places that have a novel take on veggie burgers, but the size and price was not sufficient for me to want to go regularly. Their veggie burger patty was made of brown rice, molasses, black beans and oats, and had a sweeter taste obviously. The taste was seriously there. But for the ~$7.00, I only got a sandwich. No drink, or side. It just wasn't enough food to warrant me coming back often. Good to go once if you want to try a different type of veggie burger. Also completely disregard the "Happy Hour" prices. They are just regular prices for everything under the guise of a special.

Meh. Overcooked both our Greek burger and regular burger. Tastes like the kind you'd get from a hotel with frozen sweet potato fries. Don't bother.

i love burgers and i was excited to try this new-er place in atlantic station. the line was long, cause everyone was eager to try bgr. the line moved FAST, i was impressed. the burger was hearty and bacon crispy. its clear they use better beef than most. the fries with parm were good too. i tried onion rings before and those were light and yummy as well. everything was fresh, the staff energetic and manager sherice kept them all moving along and cheery! the mgr also found the time to greet people in line, and visit guests in the restaturant. its usually a lot going on here because of the location, but its easy to chill at a booth and enjoy your meal. very kewl vibe, nice energy and good food. been here 3x already and i love it. good prices especially for the location.

Very average. The food is uninspired and overpriced. Takes a very long time to get your food. The area to get drinks and utensils is crowded and next to where people wait to pick up their orders too.

Burgers were okay but they messed up our order on several levels. It was hard to see the menu on the wall because of the line. The person taking our order was nice, but our order did not come out as it should have. There was no Parmesan cheese on our fries (that we paid for), there was no Gorgonzola on my turkey burger (again, we paid for it), and my husband didn't get the jalopenos he ordered on the side. This place needs to slow down to make sure they do things right. Until then, they won't get more of our business.

Tasted like a frozen patty because it was so cold in the middle and throughout the burger. Not much to look forward to revisiting. I have had better hamburgers at Steak and Shake. Sweet potato fries were the star of my visit

You may have noticed that most of my reviews are about Atlanta restaurants, I go to a lot of them. I see not everyone here shares my new found enthusiasm for BGR, though I have no idea why. I haven't really enjoyed a burger since I moved here 2.5 yrs ago. I find that most are greasy thin patties that are cooked on stainless steel. For some reason theres a popular Trend of sticking two of these thin patties together? Yuck. NOT this place. I've walked by many times and today I needed to grab dinner on the way home while shopping at Atlantic Station. I've eaten at a lot of the restaurants here and haven't really enjoyed any of them, so I decided to give it a shot. Imagine my delight at seeing an ACTUAL grill behind the counter, flames and all! And it didn't stop there...FRESH beef (I got a single), RIPE tomatoes, a delicious soft bun, an some kind of tasty sauce. It's a Wed night so it was $1 off, $4 I think? Inexpensive at any rate. I cannot overstate how unbelievably delicious this was. Have not had a burger THIS good in years. As if that wasn't enough, I was delighted to see an offsetting healthy item, grilled asparagus. Fantastic! Just like a good bagel it was crispy on the outside while being just soft enough on the inside. Plus, like the burger it had just a kick of spice to it. They even threw in a duo of freshly grated parm. I'm going to be making many many more trips here, there's a lot left to try...garlic flies, real ice cream shakes & floats, I might even try a veggie or turkey burger!! God bless BGR!!!

I usually try to be positive but not one redeeming quality in this place. My burger was from I swear a patty you buy frozen in a pack at Walmart. I ate two bites and have still avoided burgers since. The best burger in Atlanta is quoted sign and I am here to tell you to run not walk away from this place. My 99 checker burger treats me better! Move them out and move farm burger in!!!!!

ate there last night and was thoroughly unimpressed. The food is marginally preferable to hunger but the biggest turn off for me was the employees. I can't recall the last time I saw such a lazy, feckless group. The restaurant was filthy, tables needed to be bussed, the forks and knives container sat empty, etc. But there was a football game on and the employees were busy watching that or visiting with one another. I can safely say no employee I encountered broke a smile or a sweat. After a long wait my burger was completely unremarkable. There is NOTHING that makes this place unique or memorable. I can't imagine I'll ever be back.

Nothing special about this burger joint except that it is really expensive. Save your money. Very disappointing. I got a double cheese while my friend ordered The Wellington. The burgers lacked seasoning. I could have made a better one at home.

Definitely could've had a V8... I decided to have the Greek burger when I went. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible but for the price I paid I expected more flavor and deliciousness. The sweet potato fries kinda sucked too. Overall the pod was alright but I'd much rather have a Wendy's, BK, or McDonald's burger any day. I don't think the quality and flavor of the food is worth the money.

I went here on a whim as I just ran to Atlantic Station to exchange something and I needed dinner. I always like to try something new whenever I'm on this side of the West Side,so I decided on BGR. All the staff were really nice. Jeez louise the prices though!!!! I ordered the sliders and a side of sweet potato fries. The sliders were yummy and my mom commented on how good they smelled when I came home. They could have kept the sweet potato fries because I could tell they came out a frozen bag and a couple weren't cooked thoroughly. That taste is way more obvious when sweet potatoes aren't cooked all the way. YUCK! Anyhoo, it took about 20 minutes for my burger, which I asked for well done...but they're small patties....I've worked in food service and I know how long it takes to cook a well done anything and 20 minutes isn't it. Anyway. The taste of the burger gives them the three stars. Ummm I'll go to Five Guys next time I want a not so regular burger on a whim before payday (my pocket was hurting after I left here, lol) I'll come back.

I agree with the previous reviews. i was excited to hear about the new burger joint across the street from where I live so me and my boyfriend decided to try it out on Saturday. My bf is a vegetarian so he had the vegetarian burger. The burger was dry and overcooked. Nothing like Farm Burger or Yeah! Burger. I got a regular burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese and asked for it Medium. Once again it was overcooked and taste-wise very average. The fries were COLD. BF had sweet potato fries which were ok but they only gave us like 10 of those... All and all, I was disappointed with the restaurant based on the anticipation and although I'm right across the street from the place, I will spend a few dollars to drive to Yeah! Burger or Farm burger if I really want a good better! One positive thing I can say is, according to their menu, you can get a burger, fries and drink for $8 during lunch so before you go and spend nearly $30 for dinner like we did, go for lunch first to see if you like it!

I applaud this burger place for having a veggie burger that they make themselves (not using a frozen patty). The problem is it wasn't very good. It tasted like the grill and it fell apart way too easily. I could really only taste the sweetness of the molasses, which is part of their veggie burger patty. Toppings are nothing special- way too big lettuce and tomato slice, pickles, caramelized onions, and their secret mojo sauce with a smallish bun. Cheese is a dollar extra. No burger, fries, drink combos. I got fries, which cost over $2, but unlike the other reviewer I felt like the amount of fries was not worth the cost. They also weren't piping hot, so I'm guessing they don't make the fries to order like their burgers. They have outside seating, but no condiments or trashcans out there or way to know if your order is ready. That means you have to wait inside for your food, then head outside to sit. I went for a late lunch, so the place wasn't very crowded, but I imagine during prime lunch hours the place would be full because it does feel small. Bottom line, if I'm going to spend $10 for a veggie burger and fries I'm going to Yeah! Burger or Grindhouse Burgers where I can at least get some more unique flavor combinations and a burger that doesn't taste like the grill.

I work in Atlantic Station and I was craving a burger and fries. The veggie burger was sweet deliciousness. You could taste the black beans molasses. Yum. The mojo sauce was a definite bonus, they used real pickles and caramelized onions. I got the lunch special which a was more than enough food for me and left satisfied. I will definitely be back but if I didn't work here, I wouldn't go out of my to come back. Good but not amazing.

This place is a regular burger joint with the exception of the Ahi Tuna Burger. The Ahi burger is pretty amazing and is the only reason I visit this place. The cut of tuna is as large as their burgers and it's adorned with pineapples and ginger. For $13, it is a great option. I don't eat beef, so I do appreciate the non-beef options they offer with veggie, turkey and tuna. The service is hit or miss. The kitchen is practically right behind the register so the place is filled with smoke from the grill. It's definitely not a "nice" place, but it fills a niche at the Station.....

  • Sam L.

this place would get 3 stars but they have discontinued my usual tuna burger so it gets 2. anyway, I got the veggie burger which was so so it taste like bbq sauce which is kind of weird. I think it had too much sweetness and the tomato was too big meaning it came out whole at the first bite. this is my biggest pet peeve when eating a burger. they do need to lower their prices because the burgers are not gourmet enough to warrant the high price and casual quick service atmosphere

    (2)
  • Parker H.

I've been here twice so far, and the 2nd time was a result of my experience from the first. Needless to say, my opinion didn't change much.... My first visit resulted in waiting for over 30 minutes for my burger (which they claim on their site it takes about 8-10 minutes), so I was already peeved about the wait. And from that, I was only offered a free burger coupon, which meant I had to return to the establishment yet again. My second visit only resulted in me getting just a burger, because I didn't think they deserved any more of my money. And THAT burger still took 15 minutes and the restaurant only had about 5 patrons already eating when my order was placed and no others came in while I was waiting.... As for the burger, I was not impressed. I've had some amazing burgers in Atlanta (Bocado, Holeman & Finch, Grindhouse), and this one didn't even come close. It basically tasted like my dad grilled it in the backyard (his burgers are mediocre at best), with too thick of a slice of tomato and the patty itself just not offering up that awesomeness that I've seen from other places. Although I will say that their customer service is definitely up there. The server/cashiers are very friendly and my first experience seemed to be taken very seriously when it was found out I had waited that long for my burger. The price is another issue too. You can get some awesome burgers for a much better price. Plus, being in the far corner of Atlantic Station isn't exactly the "ideal" location either.....

Took a while to get our food. Didn't have straws and they didn't seem to care. The chocolate shake was apparently the hardest thing to make that I ordered. They seemed more interested in their conversations than service. First and last time here.

This place deserves a 4 Star, plain and simple. After reading the reviews here, I was hesitant to stop in, but I was glad that I did. The Wellington burger was very good...VERY good. My only complaint is the prices...they were a bit on the high side, but other than that, I have to recommend this burger. Stop in for lunch and they have a special that gives a bit more value (or at least they did the day I was there). Look past some of the low reviews and try this place. If you appreciate a good, quality burger, I think you'll be pleased.

    (4)
  • Mark O.

Maybe my expectations were low after reviewing multiple 2 star reviews, but the server let me half the extra "excess pour" of the scotch ale and that was the start of a great experience. Yes, on high of price. But the Wellington burger is as good of a $10 burger you will find. Great flavor, fresh, awesome. Price? $34 for a Wellington, an order of burger sliders, 2 kids hot dogs, a scotch ale and 2 shakes. Don't think that's too high for a family of 4.

tl;dr version: good but overpriced burgers, horrible service, impersonal feel I gave this place at least a month to get going before I tried it out. The wife and I popped in on a Friday evening after I got off of work. I always thought Atlantic Station needed a decent burger place, but, as I'll get to, it's too pricey for a burger joint. The restaurant looks decent, although a little seizure-inducing, as most big box places that try to flair you to death are. There are a good number of tables, especially if you include the outside seating area. The music was good, but fairly loud. Certainly don't go there thinking you can have a decent conversation without yelling. Adding to the noise were the chairs. They seem to be some kind of lightweight metal, and there is no way to move them quietly without completely picking them up. Thus, considering how lazy most people are, it's a near constant cacophony of chairs scraping the ground. That includes the employee who was throwing around chairs next to us so she could clean while we were eating with no concern for interrupting our dinner or conversation. The food itself was good. We got a regular burger, a veggie burger (for the wife), and two drinks. I tried to order fries, but after several attempts with the cashier, she still couldn't get the order together. I didn't check the receipt too carefully, so I only found this out after waiting 15-20 minutes for the burger, and I wasn't about to drop another $3 to get fries I had already tried to order several times, especially if it meant going through that same cashier again. Anyway, we both enjoyed our burgers, and mine was actually cooked to how I ordered it (medium). As someone else mentioned, the tomato was sliced too thick. I'd also like a shredded lettuce option, but that's my own personal quirk. The bun seemed kind of fake and rubbery - just not my kind of bun. The food is the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1. It was a good burger - not any better than Grindhouse, Farmburger, etc. - but pretty good. The wife enjoyed her veggie burger, which is rare, but being a carnivore, I can't really go into the details on that. It would have been nice to try the fries, but, as mentioned, that was thwarted. Unfortunately, the tasty burgers come at too high a price. With just 2 burgers and 2 regular drinks, we went over $20. Fries would have pushed it over $25. We could have added a milkshake for $5. I have no problem dropping money on good food, but when other places offer as good or better food for less along with service that is at least as good as a poorly-run McDonald's, there is just no reason to come back to this place. And the service. Horrible. Looking at the other reviews, I feel like I went to a different restaurant entirely. As mentioned, the cashier could not get our order straight with repeated efforts. She didn't know how to speak up to match the volume of the restaurant, and she couldn't manage a register and keep up with us. For example: Cashier: Do you want fries with that? Wife: Hold the fries. Cashier: Okay. *punches a few things into the register* So you don't want fries with that? The whole conversation went like that. The other employees were completely aloof. When I asked the guy that gave me my burgers about the fries, he could not care less that the order had been messed up. It seemed like most of the people working in the kitchen were just concerned about whatever they had planned for when they got off work, and we were all in the way. As soon as we ordered, we walked over to the drink machine to get our drinks, and the cashier was then waiting impatiently behind us while we got our drinks. Like she didn't know we were going straight for the drinks/condiments/napkins. You can't throw a rock in Atlanta without hitting a burger place. Five Guys, Flip Burger, and Yeah Burger are all less than 5 minutes away. All are better choices than this place. The burgers are in contention, but the price, service, and complete big chain feel keep it from seriously competing. The whole vision Toro & the new ownership shared for Atlantic Station is such a joke with places like this rolling in.

Just don't. The staff doesn't give a shit, the veggie burger was swimming in some sauce. I took one bite and left. I paid like 12 bucks for a shitty burger and was left hungry

So I decided to give BGR a try for dinner and came away very disappointed. I ordered the turkey burger, sweet potato fries, and a milkshake...all of which cost me almost 20 bucks. The sweet potato fries were just ok. The turkey burger was a huge disappointment...the patty was undercooked and had a weird consistency. As for the toppings...the tomato was too thick, the cooked onions were cold, and it included a sad looking piece of lettuce. My milkshake had to be remade, as the first was watery. The second shake was perfect but definitely not worth 5 bucks. The cashier was very nice and helpful. However, there was a worker in the back making weird noises as customers entered the restaurant, which was very strange. As I ate my food I watched alot of would be customers come and go. I wish I would have done the same. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I was feeling like having a burger and wanted to try this place out. The service here was decent and fast. I ordered the cuban sandwich but was told that they ran out of ingredients to make the burger so I opted for the turkey burger with a side of grilled asparagus. I think I fell in love more with the asparagus than I did the burger. If you are ever at Atlanta Station you must stop in and try them they are truly to die for. The turkey burger was ok and it was a good size portion. The place inside was clean and the plus side is that you could eat outside on the patio without feeling crowded.

To be completely honest.....Burger King makes a better burger. I had the sliders and they were over cooked and super tiny. However, they had a very tasty onion flavor that made up for it. Travel the few extra miles to get to Five Guys. Def not worth the struggle of finding parking in Atlantic Station.

Ok, after hearing some hype here and there, the J/J Burger Tour stopped in on a Saturday before seeing the Titanic Artifact Exhibition at Atlantic Station. Pretty good looking place...a little smaller than I thought, and lots of glass with natural sunlight coming in. Also was impressed with the staff. Everyone smiled and said hi. That was pretty cool. The kitchen/grill is open and you can see everything they do and cook. I would actually like to give two reviews here. It's a burger place after all and that's why I was there. The burger was really good. They have several kinds and everything is cooked to order. They use prime, dry aged beef. About a 8-10 minute wait. That's actually good because nothing is sitting under a heat lamp. It's made when you order it. So I got The Burger. Cooked medium, cheddar, bacon, grilled onions, and lettuce and tomato. It comes on a brioche bun, too. I decided on fries and it was a mistake. The menu says they take their fries seriously and it's obvious that they take high blood pressure seriously, too. Way oversalted! I couldn't eat them all. But you don't get ripped off as they pile them on your plate. That's why they get 3 stars instead of 4. No other reason. Next time I'll go for the onion rings. Those really looked good. Big ones....! The total was $16.78 for my food and drink. Pricey? Maybe. But overall I would recommend this place.

It wasn't good at all. The fries were dry and lacked flavor. The burger lacked flavor as well. Won't be returning again.

I think they have great tasteing burgers and the french fries are the bomb. They have happy Hour Mon -Thur from 3-6 so that's the best time to check them out.

Very few places make me want to review them right after eating. Lets just say took a chance and was not rewarded. Got a steakhouse and wasn't impressed. For 12 dollars with a drink and fries (which taste like the ones you get from the Kroger freezer section), this meal twice as much as it was worth.

Im with some of the other reviews I have read, I waited about thirty minutes for my expense burger and needless to say, If you a basic ground turkey burger lover...DONT GET THE TURKEY BURGER! It has a funny texture.....The only thing that is saving this place is the friendly (but not fast) service so my advice is not to go on your lunch break.. Signed, slightly disappointed food critic!

Slow to receive your order. No order control. People were pissed because they had to wait 45 minutes for some fries. If you have hours to burn come here....snails lol

Save your coins! I tried this place for the first time this weekend and I was unimpressed. The actual burger was okay but it was very overpriced. Also don't be fooled by the menu. Everything is a la carte, even the lettuce. There are way better burger places nearby like Flip, Yeah Burger, and heck even Burger King. I won't be back.

I live pretty close to Atlantic Station and this place was one of my short time addictions. The burgers are great (My fave is the bean burger and the sliders) and the mojo sauce is yum. They have a yummy five dollar milkshake too. But three days out of seven, they screw up any order thats individual like something as easy as say, no pickles and onions. I have a cousin who loves burgers but no condiments. We decided to split the sliders, two with nothing but cheese and two with everything but onions. For some reason, this confused everyone behind the counter, outside of one employee who was looking the same way I was looking after I had said the order in every way I possibly could. It wasn't packed; maybe half full of people who were already eating. After doing all of that, which honestly didn't bother me --- they STILL got it wrong. The person cooking then tried to argue with me with about what I had said instead of promptly apologizing and just giving me two sliders with just cheese, damn it. Another time, it was roughly the same request (No onions, tomatoes or lettuce) and they still screwed it up. Another time they forgot to charge my fries to the order and when I asked them about it, they condescendingly kept explaining that fries didn't come with a meal (which I knew. I'd been here like seven times by then). Also the parmesan fries were they're normal fries with some cheese thrown on top. Basic. So not worth what I paid. My favorite part of this place is the milkshake, but I could get one of equal value and quality at Kilwin's and have a better customer service there. So overall: good food, and plenty of it. Just don't get crazy. The odds of them specializing an order correctly is low.

I ordered a burger and fries through Zifty as it is rainy and I did not feel like getting out. The burger, fries, and milk shake arrived and the fries all was good. The burger was cooked right and had good flavor. The camelized onions and bbq sauce were wonderful. Overall a good burger.

Wanted to like this place but didn't. The burgers and sides are way overpriced for the quality. I spent $18 on dinner for a regular burger with a cold bun and cold fries. I ordered my burger medium and am still chewing on the crispy carcinogens that wrapped it. The staff seemed nice but it is far from being anything special or good. No go!

I went with a group of co-workers today... Needless to say, I won't be returning. The menu is pretty much what you'd expect but extremely small and absolutely nothing special. I ordered the turkey burger. I think I was second to last in receiving my "Turkey Burger" only to get back to the table and realize it was a Veggie burger....... I took it up to the counter and there were three people looking at me saying "It says 'Veggie' on the ticket?? I said, yes, but I didn't order a veggie burger. They didn't say "sorry".. just "We'll bring your turkey burger out"........ 8-10 minutes later, after almost everyone was finished with their lunch... I had to go up to the counter to remind them. They brought it out finally... It was pretty good.. Nothing to write home about and it was pricey. Good luck to this place. There are many, many more fantastic burger joints in Atlanta. I give this one a few months.

Mediocre food, both burgers were made incorrectly, touch screen soda fountains are slow and unsanitary

  • Daylan E.

In short, great, tasty burgers, but really overpriced! 2 burgers, 1 fries, 1 drink & milkshake was almost $30!! Also, my burger probably dripped about an ounce of grease while I was eating.

  • Karen F.

I tried the tuna burger, and thought it missed the mark. The fish was fine, but the hamburger bun didn't go with it at all, and the pineapple overwhelmed it. I tasted the regular burger, the beef was very good quality. Fries were fine, had toppings of parmesan and roasted garlic. I found the ambience sterile and without charm - some might say that of the entire Atlantic Station, though!

  • Holly B.

I really dont understand all of the negative reviews. I had the lunch special and thought it to be excellent! The fries were great and very hot! The burger was good and juicy and not greasy. My only complaint was the soda machine. I wanted a rasp. coke and it was out of syrup. The lady behind the counter said that they had to order more. It did take a little bit to get our order, otherwise, a great experience!

I've only gone here once, so i don't know if they're consistent or not... but i really enjoyed my food here the first time. I thought the burger was absolutely positively delicious... from the texture of the meat to the buttery toastiness of the bun. Yum! I got it Wellington style. It seemed the Wellington (mushroom) sauce was slightly congealed as if it should have been heated just a tad more, but amazingly it was so delicious that it didn't matter. I asked for swiss cheese instead of blue cheese and they accommodated that requested, and that was the right choice because the flavor of that swiss cheese with the Wellington sauce and the buttery bun was just decadent and complex and awesome. (I suggest they use the swiss instead of the blue cheese, but they probably wouldn't take my advice on that... hehe). One small issue was that i ordered my burger medium and to me it definitely seemed like it was quite a bit more cooked than that, but again the flavor was so good that it didn't matter to me. Two other negatives i experienced this time were that they didn't have any sweet potato fries when i went and also the bill was pretty hefty. Altho i must admit, the burger was so tasty that it was totally worth the price. I'd definitely pay it again. Also, i thought their menu was rather limited... i did want to perhaps order a vegetable instead of fries, but the only veg they had was grilled asparagus... and i try to avoid that veg b/c i don't like the urinary effects... woof! I wish they had had another veg option. Maybe i'm hypocritical here... i just listed five negatives, but i'm still gonna give this place four stars. That burger was damn good! I hope for their sake that they are consistent and that i can say the same again the next time!

Biggest complaint is the price. Burger, fries, drink will cost over $11. At lunch you can get it for $9. Add cheese, bacon for $1 each. Fries were crispy and good; excessive portion. Another time I tried the onion rings and found them to be softer than expected. Will go back, but not as often as I would if prices were more reasonable.

  • Josh W.

Good, not great. The prices are on par with most of Atlanta's burger places, with a burger, side, and beverage running about $15 a person. The food was good, unnecessarily large portion of fries. I prefer either Flip Burger or Grindhouse though, for the atmosphere and full bar. The staff here was pleasant. Not bad, but nothing special.

  • Annie C.

2 out of 5

Burgers came out cold, milkshake came out without whip cream, and onion rings came out dripping in grease after we were finished eating

They are just regular prices for everything under the guise of a special.

i love burgers and i was excited to try this new-er place in atlantic station. the line was long, cause everyone was eager to try bgr. the line moved FAST, i was impressed. the burger was hearty and bacon crispy. its clear they use better beef than most. the fries with parm were good too. i tried onion rings before and those were light and yummy as well. everything was fresh, the staff energetic and manager sherice kept them all moving along and cheery! the mgr also found the time to greet people in line, and visit guests in the restaturant. its usually a lot going on here because of the location, but its easy to chill at a booth and enjoy your meal. very kewl vibe, nice energy and good food. been here 3x already and i love it. good prices especially for the location.

Not a huge fan of burgers, but I was hungry and they were delicious. I had the sliders. Perfectly cooked meat and french fries. Love the location. Will definitely be back.

ate there last night and was thoroughly unimpressed.

4 people here. Just waited 30 minutes for my burger. I could have ordered a pizza to my seat in time.

I paid like 12 bucks for a shitty burger and was left hungry

this place would get 3 stars but they have discontinued my usual tuna burger so it gets 2. anyway, I got the veggie burger which was so so it taste like bbq sauce which is kind of weird. I think it had too much sweetness and the tomato was too big meaning it came out whole at the first bite. this is my biggest pet peeve when eating a burger. they do need to lower their prices because the burgers are not gourmet enough to warrant the high price and casual quick service atmosphere

I went to BGR with my husband and another couple last Saturday night. About 8 hours later I was being admitted into the hospital with severe food poisoning. Being 8 1/2 months pregnant made this even worse. I read several other reviews here about under cooked food, so that may have been the issue. All of this was after we had a 30-45 min wait for mediocre burgers and were cheated out of an order of fires. I don't normally leave reviews, but after my husband was brushed off my a manger when he called to let them know of our experience, I felt like I needed to let others know.

In short, great, tasty burgers, but really overpriced! 2 burgers, 1 fries, 1 drink & milkshake was almost $30!! Also, my burger probably dripped about an ounce of grease while I was eating.
