The food was good. Had a sausage, egg, and provolone on a croissant and a 10 oz. Tropicana apple juice. Standard breakfast fare for $7.07 which is pretty good for airport prices. It was pretty okay. Nice and hot! I don't think I'll get any meat next time because it was super greasy and I don't need to feel loaded down at 7am. The women who made my sandwich and the shift manager were good people. Homegirl working the register, though. What happened? What fouled your mood? I know customers this early in the morning can test your nerves, but still.

Oatmeal raisin cookies are fresh and flavorful. The cookie is about 3 inches in diameter. It's a delicious healthy snack. The tea is hot and they have a wide variety of flavors. The servers were very friendly. The counter tops were clean.

Calm Atmosphere. Wifi and power outlet to connect to. Wonderful people that are great people who address you politely and attentively. The Hospitality is an ideal representative of what Southern hospitality should is. I can't say much for the food and drinks and I have not tried too many menu items. I am not much of a coffee and pastry person. But I really do like their sandwiches. Especially the sausage, egg, and provolone on a croissant. Standard pricing, but still over priced in my opinion. I do know the market for tea drinks both cold and hot are growing, so perhaps the company overall should look into that. Overall: I am a repeat customer.

I stopped here last night to grab a quick bite before boarding my plane. My expectations were low because it's airport food, yet somehow my experience still managed to disappoint. I ordered the California avocado sandwich, which comes with avocado, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo on a foccacia bread. I initially thought about ordering something else and I asked if they had turkey bacon (I don't eat pork). The cashier told me that they only have regular turkey. I explained that turkey bacon is more of a bacon product and she was PERPLEXED. She asked around and I was told that they only have regular turkey and regular bacon. Fair enough. So I order the California avocado and I ask if I can add turkey; she says yes and they ring me up for an additional $1.50, which is fine. Then I ask if I can get that warm. She says yes, definitely, and puts that it should be heated. I'm waiting a while for my sandwich and they call my number to tell me that it CAN'T be heated, but it CAN be toasted. I guess there's a difference but I told them that I really don't care... I wanted it warm, utilizing whatever means necessary to achieve that. When I finally got my sandwich I was a little bit surprised that not only was there no turkey, but the lettuce was wilted and brown. I don't know if this was due to the toasting, but I don't think it was. There was a LOT of really fresh avocado, so I give them that, but that's pretty much all it was since I had to take off the lettuce and the turkey was missing. My advice is this: if you are in the C terminal at Hartsfield Jackson and are in the mood for a sandwich, keep on moving when you see ABC. There are other options (including Jimmy Johns, O Charley's and La Madeleine) where you will probably fare much better.

If you are in the terminal and you want a fresh alternative to the fast food junk try Atlantic bread. Service was friendly and fast. Sandwich and chip. Simple.

The Airport seems to have more and more choices every time I fly, which is a good thing. The slow/poor service and high prices are not. A fast food salad with chicken $14. Seems a little pricey. It was good however. The service was not. Slow in making the orders. They don't seem to have much of a system down. This is a fast food restaurant. Why did it take 15 minutes to make a salad? I had the Blue Salad with chicken. The greens were fresh. The chicken was tender, the dressing seemed made in house. The bread they serve with it was left over hoagie roll. At that point it is better not to serve any at all!

Decadent fresh bagel and hot coffee on a layover, what could be better! Skip the line at Starbucks and come here. It's also cheaper.

  • Sarah V.

I just stopped in here for a tea to relax a bit during a layover--the food looked pretty good, I just wasn't hungry. I was quite disappointed with the service received to be frank. The people taking your order and money were not in the slightest friendly--they wouldn't even look at you. I can't say they were rude necessarily but being in the service industry you have to at least look your customers in the face. I'd rather take my service elsewhere if this is what I can expect.

ATL Bread Company... not a bad option when you are searching for food in the Airport. the ATL bread company offers you a decent selection of soups, sandwichs and pastries. There is pretty much something for everyone and they are useally pretty quick unless there is a huge line... then you can expect a 10 mins wait. One bonus is, if you talk to the cashier they can usually customize just about anything and that helps when you are vegetarian and need more selection than just lettuce and cheese. Overall, I have been to the ATL bread company several times and have enjoyed each one. The only knock against the ATL company is that the ATL airport has a great selection for food... one of the best in the country. So grab your bread and dive right in... my war on Carbs starts now!

I am such a ABC fan!! However, times have changed. I used to love ordering the Chicken Pesto. That USED to be my most favorite sandwich to order! Lately, the sandwich is not the same as I remember it to be :( They either changed the recipe or they do not put love in making the sandwich anymore.... So long story short, I've stopped ordering the Chicken Pesto. However, I still order their Ham, Egg and Cheese on a Asiago Bagel (with cheddar cheese). Yum yum yum!!! Order that for breakfast!!!

I'm not a big fan of Atlanta bread company at Concourse C of Hartfield-Jackson airport but from time to time I forget that and try their sandwiches only to be reminded how ordinary their food at this location is. Don't mistake me, I do like some of their sandwiches at other locations so may be they have limitations on what kitchen equipment they can have inside the airport. But one thing going on for this location is, at the back of the kitchen and billing section, they have seating area partially tugged away from hustle bustle of the airport. So if you are into power nap while waiting for flight, you will appreciate this. Now there are quite number of options here on concourse C - ChickFilA, Varsity burgers, five burgers, link grill. And some healthier options too. So pick one, you will be fine.

I had a couple hours to kill before my flight so I figured I would grab a bite to eat. Walking up & down the concourse I saw several different places but nothing (nothing!!) looked good. I've been a picky eater lately so the usual airport fare didn't look good until I saw ABC. I walked up & looked at their menu filled with salads and sandwiches. One of their featured sandwiches was the California Avocado sandwich. While I know the picture never (never!!) looks like what end up on your tray I figured I would give it a try. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly & within seconds I had my receipt in hand. I went to the drink station (which was kept very clean), filled my cup with iced tea and found a table. They have a nice little area in the back that looks out on the tarmac with bar seating facing the windows and booth lining the walls. This area was kept clean also. My number was called & soon I was sitting with my sandwich in front of me. Mmmmm.... plenty of avocado, lettuce, tomatoes with dill mayo sitting on a soft tomato/onion foccacia roll. This sandwich was fresh, delicious & filling. Next time you are on concourse C at the dreaded Hartsfield-Jackson airport, walk by all those other places and drop by ABC for a fresh & tasty sandwich.

Good location with a roped area to keep things in order when moving to the counter. Service: Service was great for me. In fact the server actually asked if I was a service member or veteran to give me a discount. The wait on food was minimal but the place wasn't overly crowded. Food: Ordered the Cubano Panini and it was quite tasty. It came hot and was made with fresh ingredients. I also liked how they separated the pickle to ensure the sandwich didn't become a soggy mess. Pastry/Desert: With all the fine looking treats on display I couldn't help but breakdown and order a Cheese Danish. The crust was soft and crisp not stale. The filling Mmmmm good. A good choice for wrapping up my "to-go" in flight meal. Cleanliness: What I saw was good. The drink area was wiped down as were the counters. The floor looked clean and I didn't feel my feet sticking to it. Overall: I liked this place and glad I picked it despite the aroma coming from 5 Guys down the terminal. This was a healthier choice that was tasty and kept me on time to getting to my terminal so I'm giving it a 4 Star rating. Rare for me to give that for airport food but well deserving...at least this time. I might change next time I pass through but right now it's 4 Stars.

If you get something to go then hope the sausage patty is not still frozen like mine was! Guess you can do a terrible job if you know they're catching a flight and not coming back!

    (1)
  • Chad C.

Just grabbed a bagel and cream cheese while running to catch my flight. They were really slow. I will stop by again next time in the airport to see if I can get a different opinion.

  • Randy F.

Pretty good sandwiches and soup spot. Food was fresh and organic. I had the 50/50 grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. The sandwich was really good, but the soup was too rich or thick... Just a little too heavy for my liking, but the flavor was on point. I will be back....

The cashier was picking her nose, it was slow, food microwaved crap. Terrible - come on Atlanta bread company - have some pride.

This place is nasty. Filthy and nasty. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls. The workers just mean mug you for coming up and ordering. I waited 15 minutes for a cup of soup. Go anywhere else.

Redeye from San Diego with a two hour layover in Atlanta. No surprise, nearly everything (I think even the Starbucks!) was closed. But here's a few people standing around and in line at the Atlanta Bread Company. Yes, let's give this a shot. I ordered an egg and cheese bagel sandwich and a small coffee. I was actually okay with one of the high perch stools, but I spotted around the back behind the kitchen a half-dozen booths. And some of them have power outlets. So I managed to spend most of my layover here, surfing the internet with tethering to my phone (no, ATL doesn't have free wifi) and refilling on the great free coffee. Tip: Unless you are leaving right now, the large coffee is a waste because they offer free refills.

  • Rhea P.

I wanted something a little bit substantive for breakfast and decided on the egg and cheese croissant. It was too integrated. There was no division of the croissant, the egg and cheese. It was like fused together. Tasty and hot, yes, but I needed texture. Ok, it's airport food. I should lower expectations, but this fused sandwich was not what I had in mind. I opted for tea instead of coffee, and appreciated the real loose leaves in the bag. Too bad I had to pay extra for the tea with the combo, but kind of expected that too.

  • Joe C.

None for me, thanks ... a pastrami sandwich that fell apart upon my initial attempt to bite into it. The pastrami was surprisingly fatty, and the bread was soggy and untoasted. I suspect I fell victim to the classic "airport location overwhelmed by high volume in one of the busiest single places in the world." Staff were perfectly fine, and they couldn't necessarily help the cleanliness issues in a restaurant that busy. But I'll be looking elsewhere for my connecting flight fix next time.

This was a good option in Atlanta airport A terminal when Chick fil A is closed on a Sunday! I didn't want anything super heavy before my 3 hour flight and Atlanta Bread fit the bill. The employees greeted me promptly at the to go counter and were friendly. My food was ready quickly and was heaped full of turkey meat. For airport food it was very decent. My sandwich came with a pickle and chips for about $9.

    (4)
  • Saran R.

I got half sandwich and soup which is a great deal. I figured full sandwich may be a bit heavy before my flight. Turkey sandwich isn't bad, but the turkey chilli is a bit too salty for me.

Layover in Atlanta. We were here on a Wednesday night and wanted something quick. We got the ABC sandwich, Chicken pesto panini with chips and chicken noodle soup for 20. - Chewy baguette. Isn't it supposed to be toasty... - Less meat. ABC sandwich fail. - $1 extra to get panini. Lame - Chicken noodle has less chicken - Sweet tea was satisfying :) - bonus side pickle! crispy - Just wait...Panera is way better.

After a bad experience a month prior, I decided to give Atlanta Bread in Concourse C another shot. I even ordered the same sandwich: California Avocado Sandwich. Both times I opted for pesto instead of the dill mayo as I'm not a fan of mayo. And both times I was given mayo and not pesto. Also, a drink was ordered but the cashier seemed distracted and missed that. So, another transaction had to take place just for a missed drink. I'm losing faith in their customer service.

  • Tracey H.

Atlanta Bread is in terminal C. I ordered a roast beef with provolone, mustard, mayo, lettuce, onion and tomato. Pretty darn good baguette. Soft and fresh. I'm very partial to Panera, but they did their thing. I wasn't too fond of the mustard, so if I remember next time - I'll pass on that.

    (3)
  • Cara F.

I just ordered the pick two with broccoli cheddar and the balsamic blue cheese salad. Both were delicious. Possibly better than panera. Would go back. As far as service they were efficient and polite. Only negative is the pick two was $9 (they charge extra for signature items).

    (4)
  • Candyce M.

The one on concourse C was not good. I had a panini that was soggy. I didn't even finish it. There's many other places to go.

Chicken salad sandwich was very good and the bread was very fresh. However, the service/speed was awful. This is an airport and customers expect to move through quickly.

Sorry flyers- I had a really bad experience and just can't recommend it. The menu is missing my favorite sammies but tack that on to their RUUUUUUUDDDDEEE serivce, generally messy counter and tables and their lack of giving a f^&* and you have a horrible meal. I ended up ordering a caprese sandwich.....which actually was not totally awful but there was nothing on it in the form of oil, vinegar, mayo, etc. I asked if there was a side or balsamic or something and the guy who went to ask someone never came back.....awesome. Also, there were probably 10 people working back there all talking and looking angry. A woman who appeared to be some kind of manager was scolding another employee about tables not being cleared and orders being wrong.....hey I am glad they are fixing it but maybe take it in the back room so I don't need to awkwardly stand there while I wait?.....thanks..... also, the caprese should be 3 things.....3 simple ingredients in which all caprese salads and sammies are. 1. mozzarella. 2. tomatoes. 3. basil....NOT JUST ONE LEAF. That's right folks....I had a single puny little basil leaf. And a tiny bit of dried basil that something must be soaking in? But I couldn't figure it out since the bread was dry as a bone....... needless to say, I wasn't super thrilled with my almost $20 lunch. I should have gone elsewhere and always will from now on.

  • Atl C.

Absolutely the worst bagel egg and cheese with bacon ever. Atlanta Bread Company microwaves their bagels and they become rubbery. The bacon is not crispy, but just chewy and fatty. Getting my money back would not repay this disgusting excuse for breakfast. I will never recover from the stain this experience left upon my 30's.

    (1)
  • Ryne B.

As good as it gets in the Atlanta Airport. It smells clean (unlike other nearby restaurants), the line moves quickly, the food is yummy, and the price of a freshly made sandwich is about $1 less than you might pay at one of those nearby grab-and-go stations. My Go-To: ABC Special, comes with chips & pickle, costs about $9.

  • Nathan H.

The Bella Chicken has been a personal favorite of mine for years! I love when I get assigned the C concourse so I can get it! This airport location is a little more pricy than I like, but it's ok.

  • Kimberly T.

I had the California Avocado sandwich with no onions, or provolone cheese, just because I'm not crazy about it that type of cheese. The sandwich is on a cheesy focaccia-type bread and has tomato, lettuce, huge avocado slices and a creamy dill-type dressing. The only thing I do not like about this sandwich, and it is what reminded me I had this sandwich before, is the cheesy bread...It's just too pungent for this sandwich and really overpowers everything else in it, especially the avocado, the main ingredient. The next time, I will have to remember to ask for a different bread in place of this cheesy bread. I had a French onion soup too, and it was very tasty...The mixed croutons used in the soup were wonderful. Kudos to that!

  • Michael N.

Grabbed a cheese danish to go with a coffee. Fast service. Pastry was fresh but their cheese filling tastes a bit acidic. Weird hunh?

    (3)
  • Rachel E.

Good service but the dining area is dirty. We saw several bugs on the wall next to the booth...and that was the end of dinner.

    (1)
  • Cindy M.

I have been here twice and I have yet to be impressed with their sandwiches... I cannot remember what I got the first time but the second time I just got a ham sandwich and it was soggy and just not that great for a $7 sandwich.... I got the chicken enchilada soup and it was good but it was also very greasy and a little spicier than I thought. I just find this place overpriced for what you get and there's always a long line to order but it does go by fast and the place does appear clean and the cashiers have always been nice,

    (3)
  • Brad M.

So shouldn't a panini be toasted in a press? Yes, one would think. I ordered the chicken pesto panini while watching the people behind the counter either carry on a conversation with one another or look like they could care less to be working. Once I got my panini it was evident the bread had been heated in a microwave. Soggy yet chewy. Nasty as can be. Much like the cashiers' attitudes.

    (1)
  • Megan G.

Be sure to check your food before you leave! I've gotten this twice stopping through concourse c at the airport and both time they've messed up my order. :( The food is comparable to Panera, and it's okay, but always disappointing when it's not what you wanted. Especially when you give it a second chance!

    (2)
  • Todd M.

The service was efficient. and they have booze. wife ordered Caesar salad mom in law got the chopstick chicken salad. they were both satisfied with it. good option on the A concourse.

  • Cameron G.

I've eaten at several places in the atrium around ABC. This is definitely the best food there. I got the veggie sandwich, which was really good. The bread was great, there were a lot of fresh veggies, and the dill sauce was tasty.

  • Amy A.

They stop serving breakfast at 10, which was disappointing. I've been up since three, missed my flight by five minutes because of a highly abnormal security line at Jacksonville. (45 minute wait. at 5:30 am on a sunday morning. REALLY?) And I was on standby through three flights after. Tired, starving, and having the mother of all nic fits, I almost right past until I saw the sign that said they had additional seating behind the wall. I took a peak and it was blissfully near empty. I just wanted a quiet corner to hole up and nurse my emotional wounds. (Did I mention I'm on the way to a funeral? Today has not been a Good Day for the psyche.) egg and cheese sandwiches are my favorite comfort food, so, again, disappointed that they stop serving breakfast at 10, but I ordered the California Avocado sandwich. It wasn't what I wanted, but it turns out it was what I needed. Lovely asiago bread, thick slices of avocado and cheese and tomatoes and dill. This is the most heavenly thing I've encountered all day. and free refills on the coffee! And this wonderful, wonderful quiet and hidden dining area away from the hustle and crying babies with windows looking at the tarmac. A veritable haven.

I waited all morning to get breakfast after waiting 2 hours for check in and security. I saw Atlanta Bread (in Terminal C) and thought it must be similar to Panera. They make it look like it. The cashier and girl who made the food were rude. The cashier didn't say anything and the girl who made the food made me feel like I was interrupting her conversation with a coworker when asking for an extra bag. The breakfast sandwich (egg, ham and cheddar cheese on a plain bagel) was disgusting. I opened it up and was completely disappointed with how soggy and unloaded it was, and the way it smelled. I took one bite and threw it away (there goes $5, completely not worth it). The cheese Danish was 3 stars, but not good enough to improve the customer service or other food. The chocolate milk they have is not any good either. I should have gone to Chickfila.

    (1)
  • Mike R.

Do not stop here! Being a frequent traveler and moving through airports, the last thing i expect to do when ordering a bagel toasted with cream cheese is the need to spread cream cheese on a bagel. Especially for the price they charge!!!!!!!!

  • Tasha L.

What sort of bakery sells day-old croissants as fresh? And a snotty attitude to boot? No thanks.

    (2)
  • Vic T.

I searched the terminal for something appetizing and not covered in grease. Stopped here to get a half sandwich/soup combo. I got the chunky potato soup and a chicken salad sandwich. Both were disappointing. The chicken salad sandwich had mustard on it, bleh. There's already mayo, we don't need mustard too. The soup was the worst. Little white pieces of potato that looked as if they came out of bag of frozen potatoes. No taste, very bland. No flavor/spice at all. I didn't finish eating either and left disappointed and $8 broker. The chili looked like it might be good though and the breakfast is probably better too. But just don't order what I did, you've been warned. :)

  • Cari P.

Great little bakery with fresh croissants, pastries, and coffee! I went for the croissant with egg, provolone and ham and wasn't dissapointed. Great place to hit if your on the run to catch a flight. Chic fil- A line was so long so I asked an airport employee where to go and she suggested this place. I wasn't dissapointed. There are booths and a bar to sit at, in the rear of the restaurant. Perfect place to play on your laptop too, if you have time to burn. I enjoyed chilling here prior to my departure.

    (4)
  • AM E.

My flight arrived a bit early and I was ready to add something to my stomach. I got the hot breakfast that consisted of warm turkey sausage, my choice of cheese on a croissant. They toast it and split it in half. I'm crazy and asked for some hot sauce because that's what I needed after longing some for a week of vacay. They were great and got me a bottle of hot sauce. I opened up my croissant and doused my breakfast. They have a sit down area if you want to be served on or a to go express line. Both the chad heir and workers were very nice! A very busy place but worth the little wait for a warm delight.

  • Dave L.

Well, this is where you end up after meeting with a client at the airport, in the atrium. Then miss almost half of the Falcons playoff game. OK, enough of the whine. Had my Bella Chicken, granted this location is not my old Mall of Georgia standby, nor is the service as good. With this said, if you are not through security and if it is not crowded then it is probably one of the best spots. If you are flying and through security, the Gate B Cafe Intermezzo is the place for me.

  • Jody G.

In the great sea of junk food available at airports, it's nice to find a place that has healthy options. Soups, sandwiches and salads galore fill the menu.... the prices are reasonable.... and the service is quick. I had a "Pick Two" which was half a sandwich and a cup of soup. The garden vegetable soup tasted like it was straight from a can, but the Waldorf chicken salad sandwich on asiago bread was as delicious as could be! Lots of white meat chicken, green apples, walnuts, and craisins mixed with mayo and placed on fresh, delicious bread with leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion. It was a WONDERFUL sandwich! And, sitting at the counter in front of the window watching the planes taking off and landing was very nice as well.

  • Brandon S.

I have only been here once for breakfast and I ordered the bagel sausage, egg and cheese and it was very average. The real issue in my opinion is their use of the microwave. They microwave the bagel which makes it very chewy.

    (2)
  • Andrew B.

Portions were reasonable; food was a little bland. Prices were very fair: it was equivalent to a freestanding (non-airport) location. Service was fast but not exactly charming.

    (3)
  • Bailey R.

This place is pretty similar to Panera bread. I got the chicken enchilada soup in a bread bowl. Since everything is served to go, the bread bowl came on the side and the soup was in a container. In the airport, there's no easy place to eat out of bread bowl, so the bowl ended up being a waste. The soup was decent and had a nice flavor with just a hint of hotness.

    (3)
  • Chris S.

In the Altanta airport this Panera twin is a great place for a sandwich in between flights. Even when packed they turn orders quickly. If you want a healthier alternative, this is a solid choice.

    (3)
  • V F.

Whenever I am in Atlanta or the Atlanta area I made a trip to the Atlanta Bread Company. I am hopeful one day they will migrate west (Panera Bread has nothing on them) because I can't get a better tuna, cheddar Focaccia anywhere. Large enough for two servings easily, fresh high end ingredients and holds well overnight to the next afternoon. Comes with a pickle and chips all for a hair over $7. I recommend them over any other sandwich shop hands down.

  • Carmen G.

Boo! I know this is an airport restaurant so expectations must be lowered, but geez, customer service should still exist even in airports. My experience here confirmed my longstanding belief that an airport must be one of the worst places to work. The cashier asked "Do you know whachoo want?" with an impatient scowl. I asked her what kind of bread the soup comes with, and her response "regular bread." Bummer- I was hoping for irregular bread! I was also hoping for soup that didn't taste like cheese-flavored water, but alas, one does not always get what one hopes for. Oh- the bread was not "regular." It was more like paper-towel-textured bread. That's not regular.

    (2)
  • Nat W.

An even more mediocre version of Panera bread. They try hard to be Panera bread but their food is not up to par. Can't remember what I had here but the sandwich was not so tasty pretty bland and so was the soup. It was about $15 for an sandwich and soup...what? Sure it is located inside an airport but still....I would say get something else inside the terminal.

    (3)
  • Hiro T.

Pretty average Atlanta Bread Company. If you've never been here just imagine a Panera. They have soup in a bread bowl and lots of the same looking sandwiches. I definitely frequent this location when I have some extra time before my flight. I have to admit, the service here is exactly what you might expect from an airport establishment. In other words, the service is just enough to pass for service.

    (3)
  • Melissa C.

After getting no drink or snack service on my Delta flight, I was in search of something for early lunch prior to my next flight. This location had decent prices and fast service. The sandwich was just as I remember it when we had Atlanta Bread locations in Cincinnati.

    (3)
  • Ee Vonn Y.

The chicken salad sandwich here is great. The bowl of chili also came with a large piece of bread. The bread is kind of hard so what my boyfriend did to make this amazing chili bowl hit the spot was that he broke it up into pieces and drowned the bread into the chili. We basically improvised wrecked chili bowl. I give this a place a 4 only because I'd definitely come back here again if I came through this airport. The prices here are typical so you don't feel like you're being ripped off.

this is a great staple in atlanta....think panera or wildflower, just it's in Atlanta. this airport locale is a go-to for me because it has a couple of tasty options for non-meat eaters. my sandwich was filling and tasty, came with a pickle slice and a small bag of kettle chips. there is seating inside and around the back of the store, where you can sit and look out across one of the runways. the staff is usually friendly, hit or miss. they don't really smile, talk to you in a monotone-as-if-reciting-from-a-company-policy-script, but it's their job....i'm not expecting Ritz service, just a sandwich. always a good choice. as expected, steeper prices for airport locale.

    (5)
  • Lyndsay K.

The service here is not only terrible, the wait for something as simple as over-microwaved breakfast sandwiches (since that's pretty much all anyone was ordering) is ridiculous. But while the food totally sucked, the service was infinitely worse. Employees were yelling loudly back and forth to each other about their personal lives, yet couldn't be bothered to so much as greet the customers. It was like we (the customers) were interrupting their day. Frankly, I was rather embarrassed for the people working here.

This is a refreshing take on airport cuisine. I love me some ABC (even outside of the airport), and this location doesn't let you down. Still the same yummy food, friendly service, and lots of healthy options. The service is quick, too, which can be great when you're on the run!

I ordered a perfectly hand crafted California Avocado sandwich on tomato focaccia bread. The artisans of this fine establishment should be proud of the way they carry themselves in clear view of all their patrons. I'll be back!

They have some healthier items to select which is much better than most airport food places. The server was very friendly.

I was ready for a great sandwich, I was hugely disappointed. The highs: Great variety, decent size sandwich The lows: (a) The sandwich was terribly difficult to eat, mainly because the bread was tough enough to use as a spare tire. I was literally gnawing at the French bread to tear it in pieces, causing the sandwich to self-destruct... (b) which caused the mysterious mayonnaise/mustard mixture to ooze out of the sandwich and go everywhere. Contents slid around like Kirstie Alley in a Jello ring. (c) Service was ridiculously slow. I could have gone to pick up my bag from baggage claim and returned, had I known about the wait. Can't say I'm impressed when I've eaten jawbreakers that were easier to chew than this, and the company is named after its bread. I'd keep walking and find something else.

This is one of the better options in the airport (especially around breakfast time). The service isn't that great and there's usually a long line of grumpy customers, but they have a great selection of tea, fresh sandwiches, bagels, and have some relatively healthy options. When they are in a rush, however, expect a wait and expect things to be a bit overdone (this was the case with my bagel sandwich as well as a crossant). Decent value for the price, especially compared to the usual faire in the airport.

3/5 - the french onion actually was decent. never really anything you want when you travel, it's all marked up prices for sub-par food. but the soup was surprisingly good, thanks to whatever bag it must have come from. the folks working sure are friendly - they will talk and talk and talk. =P

I got off the plane at 9:30pm and I was starving! I had almost psychologically prepared myself that there will be 0 food options open at this hour and when walking through the terminal, that held mostly true.. until.. you land in the center of the action and boom, there's 10 different food places still open to serve! I had wanted to try the Atlanta Bread Company on a previous visit to Atlanta, primarily because it makes me feel that I'm trying something more authentic when it has the city's name in it. However, that bubble was burst in 45 seconds when I ordered the California avocado sandwich because there was nothing Southern or Georgia about it! The sandwich was great though - avocado, onions and tomato on a tomato focaccia (I did have to wipe off the mayo-like sauce that was unappetizing to me). To really try something southern, I got their bread pudding muffin, which I wasn't fan of - it's apparently croissant crumbs stuck together like a muffin and is sweetened.

I travel ALOT...This is one of my go to stops in the airport. Choices are limited when you are in terminal C, and the food here is constantly fresh, and healthier then some of the other options. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is always something good. I am a fan of the ham, egg and cheese bagel in the morning, and the turkey club later in the day. Don't be turned off by the line...they keep it moving.

Great salad even at 7 am. Friendly staff, too. Bread was stale. If counter wasn't so pleasant they would have gotten a three star.

Good breakfast option in terminal C. Typical egg/meat/cheese sandwiches (combo w/small coffee is $4.69). The pastries also looked good. The coffee setup allows for refills and was quite good - rich and smooth, not bitter like SBucks. On the negative, the layout is a disaster. Horrendous traffic flow. Pick up counter is in a bad spot and people clog up the whole area. Self serve coffee station is placed where people come out of order line intersecting with the only path out of the place. All service counter areas are way wider than they need to be making all traffic areas narrow and cramped. Especially bad for people dragging bags. I'm guessing the counters and layout here is the same as in other retail locations where nobody is schlepping bags.

I was pretty impressed! Who doesn't love Panera/Cosi?? First of all, I hate eating at airports because the food is never any good, and the prices are always such a ripoff. But for the first time ever, the prices here were the exact same as any Panera I've been to (outside of an airport!). I was pretty blown away by that. I got the "you pick two" half sandwich (the abc one) with the broccoli cheddar soup and bread, and it was yummy in my tummy :P Service was quick as usual, and I was able to grab some tap water (some places don't offer any) and there was plenty of comfortable seating to chill at before I had to head off. Great first place to check out in Atlanta, even if you are just in the airport.

Grabbed a chicken pesto mozzarella panini here since my flight overlapped dinner hour. For once, I wasn't one of those people drooling over another person's meal b/c I forgot to bring dinner with me. I almost felt sorry for the girl sitting next to me gnawing on her sad little granola bar, trying not to watch me devour my sanwich and potato chips. The food itself was ok- like another yelper said, if you like Panera or Cosi, you'll like Atlanta Bread. Decent flavorful pesto and foccasia bread with gooey cheese. I took away a star b/c the pickle that was wrapped along with the sandwich not only smelled bad, but it also permeated the edge of my sandwich. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded, b/c the layout was definitely a bottleneck...they have a tiny little counter and space where you wait for your food, then you backtrack and have to go through the rest of the waiting crowd to exit.

This ain't Panera. It looks like it, but one bite and you'll know it's not Panera. There are much better options at Hartsfield (including Chickfila).

Long wait for my sandwich. Tasted okay. Not too many other places to choose from to eat at the airport. Waiting area gets cramped - located right in a walkway.

  • Lynn S.

This place was horrible. There was only one person working the register with a line out the door. I waited forever for my food and when the order was up it was wrong. I was charged for things I didn't ask for i.e. chips which they instead I ordered. I don't eat potatoes or grains why would I order chips? So I gave them to a man in the military who was standing there waiting for his food. The place was dirty and after a few bites I dumped the food and went nearby to buy nuts and snacks.

I really enjoy this as a breakfast option when I'm in ATL, which is allot since I fly from RIC. If it is a Sunday (because Chik-Fil-a is closed and your only other options are wasting away in line at Dunkin' or McDonalds) go here. I believe it is on the B or C Concourse, but with the train you can get their in a heartbeat. The pastries are good and the breakfast sandwiches are great too. You can also note that it doesn't look like there is any seating at all, however, if you venture to the back there is a large L shaped dining area with booths and a bar to watch the planes. Because it is tucked back there, it is very quiet.

Trying to find healthy options in an airport can definitely be a struggle, especially for someone who is vegetarian. However, have no fear - Atlanta Bread is here! (Horrible pun, I know.) Terminal C's Atlanta Bread is where it's at. The girls that work the counter can be so sweet (maybe it's because I'm a flight attendant, maybe not). But they always have a joke and ask how my day is going. They deal with just as many disgruntled passengers as I do, so a star just for them. I'm a HUGE fan of the California Avocado sandwich. No meat, just crunchy red onion with avocado, lettuce and tomato (and cheese if you want it). Yes, please! Sometimes the bread isn't very firm, a little soggy if my sandwich has sat in the paper wrapping for more than 30min. Bu if you throw some potato chips inside, you'll never know the difference. And there's even more crunch! Just beware - if you limit your calorie intake or watch what you eat - start walking through the airport. The Cali Avocado sets you back 900+ calories for the whole thing. Best to get half a sandwich and half a salad. The line can get long, so step to the side to decide what you want before ordering. And if you're a smart travler and bring your own fixings for a sandwich, you can buy slices of bread from them as well. The daily soups are often good and many coworkers comments on how good they are. At one time (my chicken eating days) I enjoyed Panera and Cosi. But I get tired of eating "hummus and veggie" sandwiches. Panera has NOTHING on the menu with avocado, it's a sin! So if I'm going to shell out for someone else to make my sandwich, I'd rather shell out at Atlanta Bread.

Breakfast here was under- whelming. Simple croissant sandwich was lopsided & dried out crispy. Was it pre-made & dried out in their holding system? Our was it left over? Service was just short of surly. None of the five workers I saw appeared pleasant to the customers. Too early in the morning perhaps. No wonder the long line was for Starbucks & the short line was here.

  • Nick P.

It's a deli, in an airport. You really should not expect a lot. The service was fast, food was good and price was decent. I like the seating in the area in the back (past the Coke dispenser) where you can watch the planes.

Arriving past midnight, we weren't expecting to find anything decent to eat at the airport lounge, but thanks to ABC, we weren't left hungry til the morning. It's open 24 hours, 7 days a week...though past a certain time, they offer limited menu - basically only cold and hot sandwiches. Great sandwiches, though. I ordered my turkey with grain bread, which was toasty and flavorful. The grilled panini was also quite good. We went back again, this time in the morning, and weren't too impressed with their salads. They were a bit dry...and would've been more satisfying if they contained more fresh veggies. The coffee, although pre-made, was reasonably hot and fragrant. 3.5 stars. Not the best eatery, but it's good enough for an airport restaurant!

Mediocre coffee. I returned the pastry I ordered for a refund since I typically prefer pastries served without hair on them.

As a traveling veg-head I frequently have my own travel snacks in my bag. I'm constantly disappointed with airport meals and the selection they offer for healthy meals, let alone vegetarian! Times are getting better but it's still difficult. On this trip I had a couple snacks with me but I was craving more of a "meal". I walked up and down terminal C looking for somewhere to eat and decided on the Atlanta bread company after perusing their menu. I opted for the veggie sandwich which comes on a multi-grain bread with cucumbers, red onions, lettuce, tomato, provolone and dill sauce. I opted to switch out the dill sauce for spicy mustard instead. It came with kettle chips and a pickle for just under $7. Service was pretty quick. The line moved fast, I got complimented on my hair (thanks ladies), and got my sandwich in about 5 min. The bread was soft and chewy and loaded with all those crispy veggies.....mmmm wanting one now.

The bagels are the worst. Not sure where they find their processed eggs. If you want something healthy, you are better off passing this place.

I enjoyed having a breakfast at this place. I had egg, bacon and cheese crossiant. It was so fresh and tasty! The price was reasonable because all of the food items in the airport are EXPENSIVE! I would come back to this place when I come back for another visit. Enjoy!

This place blows harder than panera. "Ceasar salad" was a small box of wilted iceberg lettuce with two stale croutons. "Panini" was 90% bread (not even good bread) and the other 10% was mooshy tomatoes and weird tasting turkey. I guess it's the only "healthy" option nearby but fuck it, I'd rather go to Popeyes.

Decent food, the bread was sort of stale and the chili was not up to pare. Oh wellquick meal before my flight.

Avoid at all cost, my husband had a severe case of food poising from a pastrami sandwich, also we have found fleas in the breakfast bagels. He is a Captain based in ATL and used to eat there all the time, until he almost died of food poisoning!!!!

All I wanted was a bottle of water and croissant but I have to wait inline for 5 minutes because there was so much confusion with the staff at the counter. The service is rather is slow and the staff seem to enjoy shouting at each other.

  • Jen B.

Coffee was good but my bagel was stale and soggy. Employees spent too much time flirting with each other rather than paying attention to what orders are done. Seems to be one of the only coffee options in terminal c so it was worth the stop for the coffee.

  • Mae M.

I was on a layover and stuck in Terminal C for a few hours. My girlfriend and I were hungry and on the hunt for some food. We had already had Popeyes, so we thought we'd give this place a try since it wasn't as expensive as the other place across the way. I got a panini with chicken and pesto. It came with a bag of kettle cooked chips and a chocolate chip toffee cookie. I stopped dead in my tracks when I had a bite of my food. YUMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken and pesto with the cheese was a very delightful blend of flavors that exploded in my mouth! Delicious!!! It's too bad they don't have Atlanta Bread Company in California, otherwise I'd frequent that place. If I'm in Terminal C in Atlanta, I'll definitely visit this place again!!

  • Jon M.

An overpriced substitute for Panera Bread - although the food is pretty good. One good quality is the offering of Lavazza coffee that's cheaper than the other Lavazza option right across from Atlanta Bread. (note that AB only offers regular coffee though, no esspresso, cappuccino, etc)

Was great for what it is, but it's not much. While waiting to pick up the fam at the airport we grabbed a couple of teas and rolls from this stop in the main lobby. Tea was warm, rolls were fresh. That's really all we needed. Oh and a friendly guy at the register who didn't get frustrated with me as I tried to pick out something other than the decaf chai that I was hoping for.

This review is for the Atlanta Bread Company in Terminal C. Being one of the only places open at 5am, I'm always looking for something to eat after my read eye from LAX and before I board my connecting flight (and before the airport gets really crowded with the AM. flights). For breakfast fare there is a decent selection of muffins and bagels - more than Starbucks across the way. I ordered a toasted sesame seed bagel with cream cheese. Cream cheese comes in little containers so I asked for another one (for an additional charge). The disappointing thing is that the "toasted" part was grilled with butter, not actually toasted in a toaster. So it was slightly soft and had a faint butter taste. That was disappointing. It looks like breakfast sandwiched were also available for breakfast. Sandwiches and salads were on the menu for other meals, I did not try those. The service was OK. There were tons of people hanging around since it was early in the morning so they were more focused on talking to each other about last night than giving stellar service. But they were friendly.

Altanta Bread Company is what Panera should be, especially since I don't like Panera. I came to Atlanta for a weekend and my opportunity to eat some real, Southern cooking was limited to whatever thing was at Atlanta's cute little airport. (I know I know, Atlanta Bread is commercialized and not authentic, but whatever...I was really hungry after my flight!) I had the honey maple ham on honey wheat bread. I wish I had more honey. J/k. The sandwich hit the spot with its slightly sweetened meat on some soft honey wheat sliced loaf bread. I also appreciated the deli pickle and kettle chips. The price? $7 with tax, definitely less than anything I'd buy in Chicago, so I can't really complain.

Had a stopover in Atlanta and was looking for something quick and something I could only get in the Atlanta area. So I saw this place and thought, why not give it a try. I ordered the Chargrilled Chicken Pesto and was disappointed. The chicken wasn't good and the pesto had NO flavor couldn't even taste the pesto, last I check basil was a very distinct flavor. The tomatoes didn't taste fresh at all. LIES LIES LIES. It wasn't the worst panini I've ever had but it was bland bland bland so it didn't satisfy my need.

Want a quick bite to eat before you catching your flight? Try the Atlanta Bread Company. It's located in the main concourse food court just before the security gates at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Whether you choose to grab and go or dine in, Atlanta Bread Company has a great selection of freshly baked bagels, muffin tops, croissants and other pastries. Breakfast sandwiches, soups, lunch sandwiches, cookies, and salads are also available. Typically I get a wheat bagel with cream cheese and a large hot tea and boy are the bagels good. Atlanta Bread Company has plenty of locations in the metro area. They also cater. For details go to atlantabreadcompany.com . Remember, don't eat too much because like the commercials say, you are what you eat.

I took a red-eye flight from Tucson to Atlanta a couple days ago. I arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson airport at 5 a.m. When I got there, I went to the Atlanta Bread Company and ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and a small coffee. The sandwich was crap. The eggs were pre-made and just reheated in the microwave. It wasn't any better than what you'd get at McDonald's. The coffee reminded me of when I was 19 and working in France. My boss went to Chicago for a conference and when he returned, the first thing he said to me was, "Your American coffee is crap." I think he must have been drinking ABC coffee (or its Chicago equivalent). Oh, and the kid at the counter was chewing a toothpick, which he would pass from his hand to his mouth and back again, all the while handling the food. Then he took five minutes to chat with one of his regulars, while the line grew 12 people long.

We have Panera Bread, Atlanta has Atlanta Bread. As other reviewers have stated the food is bland. The bread is also not as fresh as what you would find at similar shops. That said the fruits and vegetables are very fresh and are prepared in front of you. I think they should probably shift their focus from bread to salads and fruit cups.

If I have time to grab a bite to eat before going through security, this is where I grab a healthier sandwhich and a diet coke. I can sit down at either one of the crowded and crumb covered tables (you might have to wipe it down before you sit down - nothing worse than having mustard stains on your butt), or sit on the couches in the center of the large atrium. The menu is mostly whole grain bread, meat and cheese sandwiches with the lettuce, tomatoes, and onion garnishes. A few grilled panini's will warm up your stomach, or a cup of their daily soup. Salads are fresher than anywhere else in the airport. In the mornings they offer breakfast selections (egg better sandwiches and bagels). For airport food, this is still priced high but at least its fresher and better than the alternatives.

I've eaten here couple times, food is very average and kinda bland. Is it just me or their sandwiches are poorly put together, they always fall apart with chicken, avocado etc. falling out and messing up your hands. Make sure you have tons of napkins.

This place was soo good being an airport restaurant. We had a few hours in between flights onto Miami and a bowl of clam chowder and a chocolate chip muffin top held me over in comfort and pleasure. It was pretty inexpensive, too, for airport food. Next time you see one around, try it. Be sure to get that freshly baked muffin top, that is, if they have any left. Wonderful. -Matt
