Ohhh merhaba, Turkish street food! How I missed thee!! Ever returning from study abroad in Turkey (and it's been some time), I've been searching for an authentic, good Turkish place. I hated having to splurge at upscale Mediterranean restaurants when all I wanted was some juicy doner + simple salad for a few bucks. AND AT LAST! Ali Baba is tucked away like a diversity recruit in the sea of American food chains on Broad Street. I probably would've never stepped into that little strip if my brother hadn't told me about this gem (thank you, Brother). The food, man. I don't even know what to say besides that they are just so darn delicious. I love their wraps, spicy or not. Their salads and tabuli are very juicy (probably overly so). They have grape leaves, baklava, evil eye wall hanging, and other things that a good lil Turkish place should have. It IS very hole-in-the-wall. It's like a food stand with a door. There are seatings on the street and in the random building, but they are pretty spartan... I mean they are functional, but not somewhere you want to take your date to, promising authentic Turkish cuisine. Well, unless your date was me. Then you might get really lucky. The 10% discount for GSU students is a nice touch, if you're a GSU student, are with one, or can pass off as one. I believe they have a new location in Little Five Points, so I will be definitely making trips out to one of the two locations. Yum yum!

Popped in here with a friend yesterday. The owner/manager was a super welcoming and friendly guy. Split a Mediterranean platter with chicken and it was delicious. Dining area was very clean and spacious. Refreshing to see a place like this on broad street, while most of the rest of the places settle for being lackluster in food, value and especially service.

Fantastic food. The best Gyro I have ever eaten. Stuffed grape leaves and their special pasta salad with goat cheese wea amazing. All this plus a drink for only $6.75. What a deal

You can't really argue with a less than $8 lunch combo and a line of 15 people out onto the street. As I write this, spring is in the air. Oh, no, wait. That's just a thousand trees getting their freak on in a sort of sick joke on asthmatics and allergy sufferers. But don't let this stop any of you from going to lunch at Ali Baba. In fact, don't even think about the millions of pollen particles you're snorting into your nose as you wait in a line 15 people deep to get a lamb or chicken gyro with some baba ganoush. No, try not to even fathom how yellow your car is at this moment, because, well, you have to concentrate on lunch at Ali Baba. That's right -- I stood in a line 15-20 people deep in this annual arboreal sex fest to get some food here the other day. The pace was quick and efficient, even if you DO have to go to a duplicate version of the hole in the wall that IS Ali Baba to get your lunch combo's drink. Nestled in the front entrance of some Fairlie-Polar district condominiums, Ali Baba's takes up two spaces the size of an afterthought newsstand on either side of the condo entrance. On the right side, you get in the line and order your food. Lamb and chicken gyro combos, all sorts of Mediterranean side dishes (e.g. baba ganoush, tabouleh, hummus, etc.), and interesting a la carte dessert pastries. The beauty of this setup is its efficiency. You have to get your drink at a duplicate not-a-newsstand on the left side of the condo entrance, thus reducing the "What do I want to drink today?" indecisiveness on the food side. On the food side, ordering is fast-paced -- geared towards regulars who know what they want. That doesn't mean you can't be a noob like me about picking your food. The guys behind the mini-buffet glass partitions will happily give you samples and prepare your gyro order to taste. I'm a fan of the lamb gyro combo for $7.50 or so with tax. You get a gyro, any one of the many side dishes and a Coke for that price. The gyro is a good portion with lettuce, tomato, lamb meat, yogurt, onion, etc. I avoid a lot of the yogurt -- be sure to ask them to go easy on it unless you didn't care about the vegetables that died in that salad dressing in the "Schoolhouse Rock" refrigerator expose from the 1970s. They'll also ask if you want it spicy -- if you do, you'll get some sort of spicy marinara in the bottom of your gyro. You want this. It's good, and it's not spicy unless you're a bit of a whinge. I can also recommend the baba ganoush and the falafel (not frozen) from this place. Both very good. Once you've got your food, pay the man at the counter, walk across the condo entrance to the other side, get your fountain drink, and BAM! 15-20 people and about five minutes later, you've gotten a decent meal at Ali Baba's. Dining in a fog of pollen can't get any better, cheaper or faster than this. I need a Benadryl.

I love the food here. The Turkish doner kabob is just awesome. The meat and vegetables are fresh and the dressings are just right. The shop is very small and there is no room to sit. The place is only open for lunch, but the food is so good that it is always busy. The staff are all friendly.

What's with all the glowing reviews? Beats the hell out of me. I can't find one redeeming quality about this place. The 'donner kebab' was pre-cut and sitting in a steel vat; salty, soggy, and gritty. Nothing more than processed garbage. The whole sandwich fell apart after two bites into a gloppy mess. The only reason why I ate it was because I was starving.

Wow...I was impressed. There are a lot of Mediterranean eateries here in the Metro area, but for the quality and price - what a great value! I got lunch here this past Tuesday and had their lunch special which included cubed chicken, rice, chick peas, and I opted for hot sauce (which isn't terribly hot, but just the right amount of spiciness) and tzatziki sauce plus 2 sides. I opted for the hummus and then a little bit of of tabbolui, a pita, and one other side (cannot remember which one it was). They let me have smaller portions so I could try more things. And all of this was $7.25 (after tax) and included a fountain soda. Granted...the drawbacks to this place may be that they're only open during the day Monday - Friday and there is only outdoor seating (and street parking only), it's still a great meal if you're in the area. I will definitely be back :)

Let me just go ahead and say I know absolutely next to nothing about Mediterranean food. I stood there, stuttering at the menu next to my friend, who was probably silently making fun of me. I'm already incredibly indecisive, and when I don't know anything about the food I'm trying, it makes it worse. I decided to go with a gyro. Heh, I guess you could say I was too nervous to go outside my comfort zone when it comes to these things. I told him to just go ahead and put everything on it. I'm not a picky eater at all, and it would have been easier than trying to tell him what I did/did not want it. Anyway, like I said, my palate is not very sophisticated and I've only had gyros a couple times in my entire life. Keeping those points in mind, the food I had was very good. I'm already thinking about going back! The line can get incredibly busy around lunch time, so try to go after that if you don't feel like waiting. Still, I'm sure the line moves pretty quickly (unless you're me and like to take your sweet time with the menu, don't judge!). I went around 3 in the afternoon and it was a ghost town on Broad Street. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The people working there were very patient with me, which I can definitely enjoy. The only reason this loses a star is because I was dissatisfied with the amount of pita bread I got for my hummus. I had to pile the hummus onto my bread, and I still had a ton of hummus left over, which was a bummer.

Falafel attempt #2: Nearly starving one afternoon, a group of classmates and I stumbled upon Ali Baba. I immediately noticed the falafel wrap, but I hesitated to order it. (My previous experience with falafel was less than optimal.) I let all of my friends order before me, and afer much internal debate, selected the falafel wrap with tabouli as my side. Okay...I'm still undecided about falafel. My wrap was messy, and I only received a fork with my order. Instead of going back to the place to request a knife, I relentless hacked away at the wrap with the edge of my fork. How frustrating. The tabouli, however, was excellent. The others who ordered it also concurred. When I later searched for ingredients to make my own tabouli, I discovered this interesting tidbit: in October 2009, chefs from Lebanon's state-run culinary school set a Guiness record for the largest ever dish of tabouli. It weighed over 7,000 pounds. Whoa.

Conveniently located smack dab in the middle of Fairly Poplar, Ali Baba's is the perfect place to grab a quick delicious healthy lunch. You can note by the always present lunch-time line that extends out into the walkway that food is consistently good, fast, and cheap. The staff is always really friendly and accommodating, and when you're surrounded by shitty fast-food joints constantly, it's a breathe of fresh air to have some delectable healthy food choices. The Mediterranean platter is my lunchtime favorite and throwing in some scrumptious baklava always makes my day better.

My body requested I eat some vegetables today, so I went to Ali Baba's in search of something fibrous. I felt a little rushed in the cramped, chiming space and quickly decided on the Mediterranean vegetable wrap with a spinach pie. The spinach wrap contained yogurt, hummus, a slab of fried eggplant, fresh parsley, carrot strings and probably some other roughage that remained indiscernible in the sea of yogurt. The wrap was all right. I think I ordered the wrong thing. Extra points go to the cashier, who complimented my necklace.

Ali Baba is another example of a place (like Six Feet Under) that everybody seems to fawn over but I think is just okay. Go to Ali Baba for a $6.25 combo that includes a wrap, a side of hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli or the like, and a soda. I wanted to like my falafel wrap better than I actually did. It's an interesting sandwich, but none of the ingredients were particularly good - I've had better textured and flavored falafel patties, the hummus doesn't stand up to Trader Joe's, and all the other stuff they throw in there like oily iceberg, hot sauce and something white that might either be tahini or sour cream, only helps distract from the falafel itself. I might have enjoyed it more if they had served it hot. The spinach/cheese pie looked good though, so I'll have to come back and try that. And the "pistachio bird's nest baklava," while a bit pricey at $3 for one piece, is delicious. Another advantage to Ali Baba is that all those outdoor tables are reserved for Ali Baba customers, so you're slightly more likely to find a place to sit outside, if that's what you're looking for. Of course, I sometimes break the rules and sit at those tables even if I'm not eating there.

Went for a late lunch. Ordered gyro combo with hummus. Ate the whole damn thing. Was I hungry? Moderately. The lamb was really tender. Whatever that white sauce was... good. Hummus. It was okay. Big portion for $6.75. I think I will be going again :)

I love this place! I'm a regular there as someone who works downtown. They claim to have the best falafel and they really do. I usually get the falafel salad vs. the wrap but you can't go wrong either way. Also, all of their soups are amazing. My favorites are the tomato basil and the mushroom soups. The crab corn chowder is also delicious. M-F from noon-1 pm is the most crowded time, unsurprisingly. There is always a line for Ali Baba's. The prices a so reasonable as well. You can get a complete and drink for less than $10. Can't beat it for lunch.

Best falafel ever. Get the veggie wrap: hummus, falafel, mediterranean salad and yogurt with hot sauce. So good!

I had an absolutely horrible experience with the woman working behind the counter. She put about 1 cup of tsaziki on the inside of the gyro and I said "that's plenty. It's actually more than enough thanks." She then proceeded to put a huge ladle full on top of the gyro. There was so much tsaziki on the wrap that it was inedible. We said "could you please make us another one, there is just too much tsaziki on this. It doesn't normally come this way." The woman got super pissed and huffy at us and acted like it was a HUGE inconvenience, when any normal person wouldn't enjoy that much sauce on it. Normally I enjoy there food, but I had such a bad experience this time, that I will not be going back.

For the downtown area, this place is unbeatable. Good selection and fair prices. Good urban feel and effortless food prep done consistently for years is why this gets 4 big ones.

Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was unbelievable. Before we had even decided to eat here we were offered falafel and humus samples, they were delicious. I ordered something that took longer than what my friends ordered to prepare and the fella behind the counter offered me a salad to tide me over until he brought it my meal to me. He then ran back inside and brought me a special spicy sauce that was fantastic and brought us baklava. Everything was delicious and I really felt like he cared about our business.

I've always enjoyed the food but not the last time I went there. I usually order the Mediterranean platter because I love to eat salad and dolmas. Exams were over in early May and therefore business was slow. Maybe it's because of this that, the veggies were not very fresh. They were brown at the edges. Also, the salads were tasteless. The salads seemed to have been made the day before. From now on, I'd stay clear of the place during semester breaks. Also, one thing I don't like is that it's not clear what kind of discount I can get with a GSU student card. I don't think I can get monetary discount but sometimes I get a free drink but sometimes I don't. I drink water only anyway so I do not really care but I feel that they should make the policy clear.

The best gyro anywhere. We have had gyros in Turkey, and all over the USA but by golly this is the best Gyro. The owner's Dad actually is a chef in Istanbul and has a chain of restaurants there employing 300. So it was no surprise for us that every item on Ali Baba's menu that we tasted here on Broad street; was very palatable, very delicious, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. We tried the Bakalwa for desert. Sinfully delicious. Like all other Bakalwas this one was not dripping or soaked in honey. The amount was just perfect. Honestly, if you haven't eaten Gyro, falafal or for that matter; if you haven't eaten at Ali Baba Cafe you have no idea what true good Turkish food tastes like. I have spent two weeks in Turkey eating at authentic restaurants and even here in Atlanta at Turkish festivals and other so called authentic Turkish and Greek outfits. This is a fast food style cafe and seating is on the sidewalk. All I can say is get down to 60 Broad Street. You will be back.

This is the second-best falafel sandwich I've yet encountered (Jerusalem Bakery in Alpharetta will be tough to unseat), but that's saying something because I've eaten a lot of falafal. You might say an awful lot of falafel (go ahead- say it.) The sandwich was large and stuffed with some really fresh, tasty veggies. They had a large selection of sides to go with the combo I ordered, and after waffling on my decision (waffle falafel?) the guy dishing the food gave me two sides instead of just the one. The pasta was good, but the bean salad (chickpeas, red beans, corn, cilantro) was fantastic. I might see if they'll sell me a quart of that to go next time. It's a busy location, or at least the street outside is busy when GSU is in session, but service was pretty much immediate, and the sidewalk tables make for a nice scene when the weather is nice. I'll be going back again, and Ali Baba could be in the running for a fifth star.

Was in Atlanta for a meeting this morning and was walking to catch the train to the airport and decide to find some lunch and just happened to find this place! So glad I walked up the street which I have no idea what the name was but found this tiny hole in the wall place!!! I knew I had found the right place to eat when little old ladies from the Middle East were buying bread from them. I lived in Turkey/north Cyprus for 4 years and this was one of the best doner kabob that I have had since being back in the states. I even had a few Iraq's sitting next to me! Great little place to sit outside and watch all of those southern ladies walk by!!! What a great day!! Now off to catch my flight back to Tampa.

Good prices, hefty portions. I got an gyro that came with a side of fries. The gyro was interesting because they put something a bit spicy in it. I was downtown for a convention so decided to walk around to find a new place to eat at. The place was small but big enough for the number of customers there. Staff was friendly. There were outlets for me to charge my phone.

Super delicious! Everything is amazingly fresh and their falafel's are so darn flavorful!! I love their spinach falafel wrap with the tabooty (lol however that is spelled) and no dairy! It's a perfectly filling vegetarian wrap and the flavors are so complementing.

I ordered a chicken wrap - it was a cost efficient special that came with a drink and I order a side of lentil soup. The wrap just had too much sauce on it. Taziki sauce and what ever sauce the chicken was in over powered the tasted of any chicken onions and greens included in the wrap. It was so saucy that the wrap was soggy and I really could not enjoy it. I ended up having to eat the wrap with a fork. This is suppose to be a type of street food not a saucy mess. I was not impressed and won't be ordering this item again. The lentil soup tasted pretty good. It has a nice flavor that came with a good amount of pita bread. Overall I give it 2 stars because lentil soup is not a hard thing to make nor was it the nest I ever had. The wrap was up enjoyable.

Off the bat, the food is decent. But the lady running the joint? A complete B****. Listen, lady: aome people aren't too acquainted with mediterranean food. How about you teach them rather than ridiculing them? My friend felt so awful after coming out of here, he didn't finish his meal. And he even tipped her. Disappointing. Straight up.

I feel sort of bad for writing this review after seeing so many high star reviews, but honestly, I wasn't that impressed with Ali Baba. Maybe it was because it was delivered to the office instead of eaten there? I don't know, but every other Friday my office supplies lunch for the office, so last Friday they brought in Ali Baba's. If there's one thing Ali Baba does well, it's size. There was so much food! And so many types: pita, hummus, rice, salad, babaganoush, tatziki, spanakopita, dolma, chicken kabob, gyro meat, falafel, meatballs, fruit salad, baklava and I've probably still missed a few things. Anyway, the portions were huge but the taste wasn't outstanding by any means. It was filling, it was plentiful, but nothing stood out to me as oh-my-gosh-I-need-a-second-helping. It was just okay. Like I said, maybe because it was catered? Anyway, decent job Ali Baba - you fed the hungry masses successfully.

For those downtown, my recommendation is that you go to Ali rather than It's all Greek to me/us, whichever it is. The falafel is good, and the wraps are huge, maybe too big? My friend had one about two weeks ago while we were there and probably hasn't needed to eat anything since. Now look, it's tiny in there, so you may want to peek at a menu before you go in if you can't handle a little pressure. I've read some complaints about the staff regarding rudeness. I suppose if you're going to break down in tears if they don't pet you on the head and explain what all the food is, maybe steer clear. If you possess a normal amount of robustness, I think you'll find the staff to be pretty normal. One of the cooks even offered me a ball of falafel while I waited for the guy in front of me to order! Who wouldn't like a guy like that?

This is a great place for awesome gyros, falafels, etc. It's in the nice Fairle-Poplar district near GSU bldgs., Realto theatre, etc... It's nice to sit at the outside tables and enjoy the fresh (city) air. They now serve home-made ice cream to finish off your meal.

I would urge you to seek out Ali Baba. Or at least, the Ali Baba Mediterranean Delites place on Broad Street. This hole-in-the-wall establishment produces some of the best and cheapest Mediterranean food to be had anywhere in the city. I had a gyro wrap and a cup of lentil soup at this Broad Street eatery. They even made the gyro wrap spicy, and it was delicious, spicy enough to stimulate but not overpower. I already want to go back for more. The lentil soup was mild, flavorful, and savory, just as good lentil soup should be. I say forego the spoon, just pick up the bowl and enjoy. This hole-in-the-wall is almost literally that, with enough space to get in, place your order, grab your treats, and enjoy your food at the tables outside. These folks do a quick business (they get really busy during lunchtime), so it's hard to linger over the menu. It does make sense to visit the website beforehand and decide what you want. Next time I will try the hummous, and maybe a doner. Ali Baba is only open Monday through Friday for lunch. But again, I do recommend it. Holler if you want some company.

Umm... what's more to say than this place has exceptional Turkish food. I'll keep it short and simple. GYROS GYROS GYROS. I always get it here. The falafel is really good as well. The owners are the friendliest folks you'll ever meet. They've supported several events with a cultural organization that I'm apart of consisting of Georgia State University and Georgia Tech.

Can the people who work here stop making me love them more? Probably not. I mean seriously we are at best food friend status. Mondays, some people may go to Moe's for $5 burritos, I come here for $5.25 (with tax!) wraps that probably taste a hell of a lot better. I come here like once a week now, and it's amazing it's not more often. For example, last week they had made a new side, a black eyed pea salad. I was intrigued so I was given a little sample, so I took it to eat with my gyro down in the seating. SO. GOOD. I went back to give my verdict before heading towards my class, and the farewell I get is "see you tomorrow." I stopped myself...somehow. For some reason I have enjoyed the falafel with a bit of hummus and spicy sauce on its own when given to me as a sample more than as a wrap. This could have been the work of the feta they put on it. I don't think there is any indication on the menu that they will put feta cheese on a falafel wrap, so be sure to tell them if you don't want it. I also tried the chicken wrap, which was okay, but all around I definitely love the true blue gyro the most. I also like that they have so many tables designated for their customers only outside. Today was the perfect day to eat outside, and a fellow Ali Baba diner at the table next to mine sure liked to talk. Usually I'm kind of like "oh god why is this person talking to me" whenever someone I don't know talks to me, but obviously since he has good taste in food, that was good enough for me. Delicious Mediterranean food can bring everybody together! #Yelp365 - 45/365

C'mon! The name alone has to at least get you interested. No? Well try some of the best Mediterranean in Atlanta. Broad street's gem, this is as good as it gets! This is no dine in place. Just enough room to get in, order, and either sit outdoors or find seating next door through the revolving doors to the left of the store. Just don't forget to grab your beverage at the open doors just a few steps away from Ali Baba's. If there's a gripe, and it is minor, is the first couple of times there, you may get called on to provide your order before you even get to look at the menu. The cashier sometimes moves slower than the food prepares, but that's okay. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that anything you order is consistently good and you will enjoy yourself. I had the chicken shish kabobs my last time here with a choice of two sides, so I had to get the hummus, phenomenal, and falafel, also really great. They'll always ask if you want your hummus spicy. Give it a shot if you like a little kick and give Ali Baba's a try in general...great food!

What the hell? I've come back to Ali Baba a couple of times to make sure that my tastebuds weren't deceiving me, but the food's just awful. I really don't understand all of these four- and five-star reviews. The falafel wrap was, without a doubt, one of the worst things I've attempted to eat in the past year. Stone-cold, soggy balls of falafel. Rancid-tasting toppings. I took two, maybe three bites, and chucked the rest of my wrap into the trash. My subsequent visits, during which I tried both the lamb and chicken doner kebab wraps, fared slightly better, but not by much. No utter revulsion from me on these visits, but the meats here were still pretty mediocre, the dry and flavorless chicken in particular. If I had to pick something, I'd stick with the lamb doner kebab, but I'd rather just avoid this place altogether. Fortunately, I wasn't out much cash, since the meals here are dirt cheap, despite their including a side of hummus, baba ghanoush, dolmas, tabouli, fruit salad, or pasta salad. It's difficult to find a cheaper meal that's just as filling while you're downtown (Rosa's, maybe?). Still, I won't be back.

The falafel was good and the gyro was ok. The pita bread was kinda like just warmed up in a micro wave or something. The gyro meat was good, but the cucumber sauce had no taste. Also no one was wearing gloves. hmmm. I will give them another try but not soon.

This place is blocks away from where I work, and if I'm able to get away from my desk during the hours this place is open, I'm making the walk to Broad. I always get the falafel wrap. I've even made the walk on a sprained ankle. Yes, it's that good. I also recommend the lentil soup and the baklava.

The only other place iv'e eaten more at is my mom's home cooked food. If the lamb is hot or the chicken fresh, its really good. The place has it's hit and misses, but I've hit a lot of good timings. My favorites are lamb gyro, chicken gyro, and lamb salad. It really hits the spot, and a combo which comes with a side and drink for at most 8 bucks, its pretty good.

I'm giving two stars because this place used to be good! I went today and not only was the owner very rude the falafel was HORRIBLE. It tasted like the falafel balls had been sitting out for days (cold and oil sodden). I have been coming

I am not going to lie. I have a love love relationship with Ali Baba's. As a downtowner, I love the Broad Street lunch choices and for me Ali Baba is the best of the bunch. I adore their hummus, the wraps are great and the prices cannot be beat. I always walk away with way more food than I can handle and I know I will be full and happy for hours. The best part about Ali Baba's though is the staff. They are so friendly and kind and when they learned I was a newbie the first time I went, they let me sample some of the behind the counter offerings. What could be better than that? Make sure to get a rewards card when you go - because you'll certainly be back.

I used to love going to this place. There used to be a tall big guy at the register, who was really nice. The serving staff was friendly and they had great prices. I really liked the falafel wrap a lot. I went almost a year without going there, and finally I went there today. The lady at the register was just plain rude. I asked her about student discount, and she proclaimed in a really loud voice that she already gave me the discount because I had on my back-pack. Then she was handing us cups, and I asked her whether it came with the meal. And yet again in a loud voice she announced that she was buying us drinks, and I politely declined. She gave me this annoying reply that it was my problem. Whatever happened to this place! The falafel wrap turned out to be awful. The falafels didn't have the same flavor, and they weren't warm like they used to serve.

I owe it all to Ali Baba's to what got me so addicted to gyros and falafels and Mediterranean food in general. It really is as good as it gets, especially for the Downtown/5 Points area. As a GSU student not too long ago, lunch at Ali Babas came several times a month when I could afford it. Not saying that this place is pricey, because it's not. $5 for a huge gyro is quite filling on the stomach. Add $1.25 and you get choice of side and a drink. But I was, still am, penniless. It was a treat every time, however!!! The food itself is exceptional. The lamb meat portions are generous and the falafels are fried to perfection. The ingredients are fresh and prepared daily. The staff are quick with their hands and friendly. It's no surprise the owners know me as a regular, even when I visit the L5P location sometimes! *has a halo of hearts floating over my head* The restaurant space itself is tiny! Definitely no space to sit, but they do offer outside seating on the sidewalk when weather permits and inside, down the stairs of the Healy Building that it's attached to. Besides, they treat every order like it's take-out anyways. If you're a GSU student, they offer discounts, like every other restaurant on Broad Street, but Ali Baba's, hands down, serves the best of them all. I will miss thee. I will sure come to fulfill my tastebuds next time I'm downtown....

Ali Baba has been my go-to lunch spot since I started working dowtown a few months ago. I will admit that it's sort of hard to fill my belly, but they've got great lunch combo specials with more than enough food for perpetually hungry runners like myself. Falafel and gyros are among the best in town and the speed & friendliness of the staff can't be beat.

Wow....this really deserves like 2.5...I got a chicken wrap with side tabouli salad. The salad was ok, but the chicken in the wrap was awful, over fried and I'm even scared to think where does it come from...I wouldn't come back there....

Grabbed a bite to eat during lunch today. Quick and easy ordering, I ended up with a quick falafel wrap. Agreed - good falafel, but the wrap itself was kinda plain. And good feta, but 'eh' tzatziki. I did think it was cool to see the owner was out chatting people up and being friendly to customers seated out on the street, I'm always a big fan of owners building relationships. Small space, if that's what they mean by "no - not good for groups." Cause, you'd pretty much just end up sitting in the street seating area.

Hands down the best falafel in the city. I keep meaning to order something else off the menu, but the line behind me and the fast get-in-get-out lunch rush pace of the place makes ordering feel more like an impulse than an actual decision, take that as you will. I've never even been to their other booth just a few steps away where they serve soups and stuff, I think. But damn, that's a good falafel wrap.

Doner, doner, doner. Be careful. Once you taste it, you're hooked. They put an addictive chemical in it that makes you crave it nightly. It's delicious and cheap. I've tried the falafel, the salad combo, and the chicken doner, all of which are good enough, but don't bother messing around, get the doner wrap. I prefer mine with a side of tabouli. Slap a little tabouli in the wrap and you're ready for some good eats.

The Mediterranean Platter is a freaking FEAST for $6.75. Two cups of Greek salad and a cup of taboule salad fill the main compartment of a clamshell, with one "side" compartment dedicated to creamy pasta salad (instead of mostly-canteloupe fruit salad, another option) and another stuffed with hummus and baba ghanouj. The whole affair is crowned by a falafel the size of a tennis ball and two stuffed grape leaves. How are you gonna beat that for seven bucks in the middle of downtown? You're not. Shut the hell up and sit down. Class is now in session.

The food is delicious, fast, and the staff is friendly. The falafel wrap is my recommendation, and you can get it on a regular pita (default), a spinach wrap, or a tomato wrap, with mild or hot sauce (don't worry, they'll ask you which sauce before they slather it). Sides range from dolmas to hummus to tabbouleh, all very tasty. I used to head here for a falafel wrap for $3.50 and have it with my own bottle of water. Unfortunately, they raised the price by over a dollar, which I find ridiculous. So long, Ali Baba; I think price is part of customer service, and a 25%+ raise in a year doesn't sit well with me.

This is the finest Gyro in Atlanta. They will remember you and give you your normal order in no time. Jolly guys, Turkish Techno, Kick Ass Food. What more can I say?

Been eating here for 5+ years. Fresh, delicious ingredients at extremely affordable prices. Vegan friendly - Falafal wraps (tahini, no yogurt) and samosas are super tasty. It never gets old. They ask you what ingredients you want, every meal is made to order, so no surprises in your food. There's always a line of hungry patrons around noon, and it can be hard to find outdoor table space then, but there's inside eating areas too.

This place is a block away from my job. I like their gyros (not the best though), and their fried tilapia wrap, however i was not impressed with the falafel (too much bread instead of beans and herbs). Their baklava is one of the best I ever had.
