I love this place! Perfect for a quick and fresh lunch. I can't speak to all of the menu but the grilled salmon salad is out of this world. The fish is fresh and well seasoned and the homemade balsamic dressing is fantastic. They serve it with fresh baked bread that is delicious (and addictive)! If you're in the area looking for a tasty, homemade lunch this is the spot! (Word on the street is their cookies and brownies are unbelievable, too!)

I travel all around the country and this is one of the best places I've been to. I have never been disappointed.

You can't go wrong here! Their tomato soup is the best in city! And I am a huge fan of their massive and filling sandwiches. One of the best lunch spots in Alpharetta.

Wow! Now Wildflour has Breakfast.. You would not believe just how delicious their breakfast is. I have eaten at a lot of upscale, bars, etc restaurants countrywide, and Wildflour is still my favorire. If you havent tried the food, it is absolutely the best. They make all their breads from scratch, even their cinnamon rolls. Homemade, french toast, no not with syrup but with a strawberry mix thats to die for! Today, I had the breakfast, the Bearnaise Sauce on an omelet, who would have thought??? And its extremely reasonably priced for the quality you get. One issue: they are so busy. It is best to call/email ahead and order so it's ready when you get there! Can you tell I am a "real" fan of this place? Enjoy, Mrs. Harrelson

Fixed some of the logistical/operational problems. Service is faster and friendlier. Making a good place even better is awesome.

Way overpriced for some lunch meat in a tortilla. No sauce either so I had to raid the workplace refrigerator for anything to use. $11+ wasted. One meal choice I can't take back. Nothing like belching garbage the rest of the afternoon. Thanks wild flour. Update: the owners response says it all. Now I am spineless for posting an honest review. Come on. Don't try and get pity because this place clothes your children, big deal. We all work one way or another for what we have. I chose to spend my money here and was incredibly disappointed. I am entitled to my opinion. I thought in customer service you learn the customer is always right even if they aren't. Thanks for the follow up comment. I enjoyed learning more about you.

Yum! Owner is very nice. Restaurant is VERY busy on a Saturday afternoon in a corporate area that's 9-5 M-F. I had the Shroomie sandwich and a cup of tomato basil soup. My friend had the basil chicken salad sandwich and the same soup. Both of our meals were great. The brownies were amazing. Pleasant surprise in a location where here are tons of restaurants a half mile away. I wouldn't pass this one up.

I went to the restaurant for lunch. I had the fish tacos and soup. The lunch entree was affordable and tasty. If your looking for delicious and healthy this is the place.

This is a family-oriented sandwich shop where the entire family can frequent and be guaranteed a great meal. I tried the Chicken On Ranch (add avocado) with tomato bisque soup as the side. I almost didn't get to the sandwich as their tomato bisque soup is wonderfully flavorful and a meal in itself. The chicken for the sandwich was spiced with great herbs and was very tasty. I would order it again. My partner tried the grouper sandwich and was very pleased with his choice. He didn't much care for his side pasta salad but it didn't detract from the scrumptious meal this place serves up. The staff is very friendly and drops by to check if your order was as expected. I wish they were closer to Smyrna/Sandy Springs/Marietta area as it's a bit of a hike to get here but well worth the drive in the end.

I found it! Put a fork in me because we're done! This is the best sandwich shop OTP North. Wildflour knows how to serve up goodness on those freshly baked sandwich buns. Although I venture up to Alpharetta frequently, this was the first time I found myself alone for lunch on a weekday. After perusing Yelp and FourSquare for tips, I selected Wildflour based on all the great user reviews. Boy-oh-boy were y'all right! At noon on a Monday there was limited parking left in the spacious lot at the strip mall where Wildflour is located. I had to walk a bit across the lot to find a space; but hells bells, with all the carbs I ate, the walk did me some good. I had the Veggie sandwich with yummy homemade pimento cheese, humus, tomatoes, lettuce avocado and cucumbers. If y'all have read my other reviews, you know how my heart sings when a sandwich arrives laden with crisp, cool cukes. I highly recommend this sandwich to anyone who loves cucumbers and avocados. A side of pasta salad and a big cup of sweet tea loaded me up with energy for the rest of my afternoon. The tomato basil soup looked delicious (my neighbor had a big steaming bowl) and all the sandwich which passed my table looked awesome. I'm already looking forward to the next time I'm OTP for lunch.

The turkey meatloaf is good, the melted provolone cheese and sage sauce complement it. (that is the only item from the menu I've tried). I ordered the potato salad as a side, it paired well with the sandwich. In addition, it is served with a small, mixed greens salad. The bread which is prepared and baked on site is good!

I can see why so many ppl love & rave about this place, but it's just not my cup of tea. I'm a lighter sandwich eater especially when I still have to be functional going back to work! These are not sandwiches for the faint of heart. Come with an appetite, or save the other half for dinner lol. The wait can be quick or as long as 40 mins depending on the lunch traffic you get caught in. I've had two sandwiches here in the past: 1. Basil chicken sandwich: oh so good, completely filled buns of goodness. 2. Salmon BLT: my attempt to step out of the box on this one backlashed at me....this was the weirdest combination of flavors that just DID NOT WORK: salmon was very dry, avocado (the only edible part I liked), the additional sandwich spread was unnecessary, it just confused the crap out of my taste buds to the point where I was getting sick eating it. Side: tomatoe bisque was heavenly. it was an adult version of my favorite tomato soup. I think the pasta salad side looked good too, but this soup was nice during the cold season! Verdict: I like this place, but again, it's just too much for me. I'd like to try their dinner menu now that they've decided to open for dinner. Business must be doing really well to expand their menu!

I have been several times and even though the price is high and the food takes awhile I have still come back because the food is good. Today when ordering the Seinfeld I wanted to make a slight modification ( adding onions and peppers). I was basically told you can't modify and screamed at for asking for such a request. I also work in a restaurant and am in the service industry where people modify everything all the time with no problem. The customer service here was awful and my friend couldn't believe how the owner spoke to me either. I will not be coming back.

My wife an I met here for lunch early in the week for the first time. I knew we were in for a treat because the parking lot was completely full (we got the last spot) and every table inside and out had people eating. We had very good sandwiches- she got the special (a spicy cheese-steak) and I got their house specialty- the Seinfeld (Pork tenderloin with a wild mushroom mix, provolone cheese, tomato, and a sage sauce). You can also get it with chicken or Boar's Head turkey. I had high expectations because of the other reviews, the freshness of the ingredients, and the price-point (these are NOT your average sandwiches- so why should you expect to pay an average price?). Let me say that I was not disappointed. I could taste each individual flavor in my sandwich- a perfect blend with nothing being a truly dominant flavor. The cheese-steak was made with a premium cut of meat- very tender and flavorful- not the scraps that you will often find in your typical steak sandwich. The tomato basil soup we had on the side had a robust flavor, and had enough creaminess that it was verging on a bisque. The fresh basil was plentiful, and added to the well rounded flavor. There was also a bit of a kick to the soup--subtle though. You had to get a few bites in before it started to sneak up on you. The only bad thing about our experience was the nature of when we went. . .12:30 on a weekday. They were PACKED! Although we did manage to find a table for two and still got our food in a reasonable time, just be prepared to wait. . .it's worth it. We noticed on their sign as we were elaving that they would be opening back up in the evenings on the weekend (Thursday- Sat I believe). So we decided to try them out again, except this time for dinner. Same great food, but a much different experience. Linen napkins and tablecloths, full silverware service and waitstaff, an intimate setting that is completely different from the hectic feeling of the lunch scene. The menu changes according to the chef's choice, but I think he always has a fish, chicken, and beef dish available at a minimum. We even took our two children (7 and 9) and they had several options that they enjoyed. Neither my wife and I were particularly hungry, but we didn't want to be wasteful, so we paid to have our dinner split. Normally I am against the 'plating' charge, but you will not regret it here. Our portions were incredible. We had to double-check with the server that it was a split instead of 2 meals! The dinner started out with tomato basil soup (I agree with Laura C.- it is very good) and a loaf of their bread. Perfect combo, and could have sufficed as a meal by itself- but. . . I had the beef Marsala with spinach and mashed potatoes, and it had to be a fillet. The server brought us a steak knife, but I probably would not have needed it it was so tender- prepared masterfully. The Marsala sauce was plentiful, flavorful, and had a great mix of mushrooms- not just button mushrooms. Our kids had the grilled chicken ravioli with rosemary cream sauce, wild mushrooms, and a spinach and tomato mix. The kids pushed some of the toppings around a bit, but loved the ravioli, chicken, and rosemary cream sauce. (Next time I'll listen to my wife and just have them leave the toppings on the side for the kids). In the cost of the entree is also a house made dessert of choice. For us it was a flourless chocolate cake with fresh berries and a strawberry/grand marnier puree. The perfect end to a wonderful meal. I hope they keep doing the dinners- this is a hidden gem for a great dinner at a great value. The same meal downtown would have easily cost you twice as much. Keep it up- we will be back!

Thanks to Yelp, tried out this place for lunch. Food tasted great. Had the Jalapeno lime sub with Chicken. Agree with other reviewers, the Tomato Basil Soup was full of flavor. It reminded me of Tom+Chi in Louisville, KY. I liked that they provided cutlery to go with the sub. Made the eating so much easier and lot less messier. Will visit again.

Outrageously overpriced for what you get. I had some kind spicy chicken sandwich. It was good, not great, but good. Certainly not 12 dollars good. Way way overpriced for a sandwich and chips!

Simple concept, sandwich and a side for $12. They were yummy. I look forward to also trying a salad.

I had heard that this place was amazing from a few coworkers but never had a chance to check it out. I had the chicken salad sandwich, and while it was more expensive than other sandwich shops, I have to say that the ingredients were fresh, tasty, and in a decent portion. I saw so many other sandwiches that I wanted to try so I will be sure to go back again and again. Final word of note, their brownies are amazing, I had to try one since a friend raved about it, I mentioned this and the very nice young woman said to just take one a try it! Now that's a way to create customer loyalty.

I love supporting local places, and this one is amazing! Everything is homemade and you can taste it. They have daily specials and love to switch it up. I had a catfish sandwich and their pasta salad and it was delicious. Anyone complaining about the prices can go to McDonalds and eat off the dollar menu. This place is worth it.

Fantastic, been going here for years. The chef's previous places were just as great. Fresh baked bread everyday. Salmon BLT, Japlepeno Lime, or one of the specials are always sure to please.

I was not really impressed with the food or ambience of the location, but can see why others my love it. I probably will not be back. I ordered the Seinfeld with grilled chicken in a wrap. It was just mediocre for me. The taste was not terrible, but it was slightly bland with no excitement. I got a side of chips and sweet tea because I didn't want coleslaw. A friend of mine got the Salmon BLT and it looked really good with a nice sized portion of fish but under-seasoned. Overall, the experience was not terrible, but was not great either.

I could live off their tomato basil soup... It's that good! This is a great little cafe (little being the operative word) and it's always packed. Great sandwiches, their bread is amazing and made fresh, sides are all quite tasty, as are their soups. I think the only drawback of this place is the wait. I've never gotten my food quickly, but I consider the food to be well worth it.

I had the Seinfeld Sandwich made with turkey meatloaf: homemade roll, meatloaf, sautéed mushrooms, provolone, l/t and sage sauce. It was really delicious, especially the bread. It was served with the yummiest tomato basil soup. Dessert was the best brownie I've ever had. My kids split the BBQ pork shoulder sandwich (lots of mmm's); the hubs had a bunless burger with homemade dressing (like thousand island). For GF patrons, they serve the bunless sandwiches with scrumptious homemade gf bread slices on the side. It was so nice for my gf hubby to have bread in a restaurant! It's a little pricy for lunch, but you definitely get what you pay for. Everything here is homemade and oozing with the pride of the chef/owner. You can tell that every dish is made with love. We can't wait to go back!

This place is at the upper end of what I'm willing to pay for lunch, but as an occasional splurge, it's definitely worth a visit. There are several options for vegetarian and healthy entrees, and the ingredients are obviously high quality. One minor complaint is that the employee at the counter refused my request for a slight modification to a sandwich (I was trying to accommodate my kid's picky eating).

I've been to Wildflour a few times now and the food is really good. On my latest visit, I had the Turkey Meatloaf sandwich, chips & a brownie. The brownie is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. They're about the size of a normal cupcake (not the oversize fancy ones, or mini two bite kind, but a normal cupcake that you make at home) and because they are made in pans individually, they have a crunch exterior and a fudgey cake like interior. I think they even have caramel bits melted into the top. My coworker and I decided we'll go there on "bad days" just for a brownie break! My meatloaf sandwich was good. I like the combination of iceberg & spring mix greens on the sandwich, the cheese was flavorful and the meatloaf itself was was not overdry, which can easily happen with turkey meatloaf. The bread tasted fresh baked too. I was disappointed that my chips were just classic Lays. There isn't a choice, it's whatever side they offer that day (potato salad in this case), chips, or a cup of soup. I didn't want potato salad, and I don't like Tomato Basil soup (that day's selection). I did not order a drink & the total was $11 and change. The service is a bit slow and the line is out the door during lunch. Tables are hard to find. The food it a little pricey too. There's lots of the food per serving, it's very well made and delicious. Overall, it is worth it to wait in line to order, try and find a table and endure the wait for it to arrive at your table.

I go frequently for lunch but I like dinner even better. I'm not sure if it' the lack of advertising or the location, but dinner here is a hidden gem. I've had the Meritage beef tenderloin, goat cheese chicken and grouper with avocados over coconut rice and black beans. All three were delicious. The owner has a very thoughtful and artisanal approach to making a meal that is both comforting and extraordinarily flavorful. Every item served was delicious from the home made bread to the salad to the dessert. You have to try the brownie. It's the best I've ever had.

Fresh bread. Fresh ingredients. So why the three stars? Ordered the jalapeno lime with grilled chicken sandwich. Specifically asked if lettuce and tomato came on the sandwich, and clarified that I *did* want it. Came home after my to go order, was super excited to try it out (sooo many good comments!), and BAM! Disappointment. No lettuce. No tomatoes. *SOB!* A sandwich just doesn't taste quite as good without the fresh veggies.

Very good sandwiches! There is a lot of flavor here. Had the legendary Seinfeld with pork. The Tomato Basil Soup on it's own was quite good. Very nice overall, though not recommended for a cheap lunch though as the prices are a little high, but for a satisfying dine in lunch it's great!

Coworkers & I stopped for lunch here one day during our training in the area. A little on the small side, so when the lunch rush hits, you're out of luck. Interesting to see that they have soups, salads, sandwiches, AND specialty plates. I ordered a combo deal of a wrap and a soup. Yes, there are a lot of people during lunch, but I thought our food came out waayyy too slowly for 2 soups, a sandwich, a wrap, and a specialty plate. I wasn't too happy about that. But my tomato soup was tasty, and my wrap was delicious with fresh ingredients. I devoured everything, and I'm not sure if it's because I was starving or the portions were small, but I left still a little hungry. Still gets 4 stars just because I loved how fresh my wrap was.

I have tried seinfeld and salmon sandwich. They both tasted great! The meat (including fish) is juicy and has great flavor. They don't have kids menu, but if you mention to them, they could do simple grilled cheese sandwich. It's actually pretty good. If you haven't eaten there yet, definitely worth trying it out!

I went here because of the high yelp rating and it did not fail me. This is an excellent sandwhich shop to stop at for lunch. They have a lot of unique sandwhiches. I had the bbq sandwhich with peppers in mozarella cheeses and some kind of lime sauce. Wonderful! The soup it came with was excellent too. I highly recommend this place.

Great food, but lousy service. I know this place is popular and for good reason. The food is outstanding. When I tried to place a to go order today (in order to avoid the customary 15 minute wait) the phone just rang busy. I decided to come in anyhow thinking someone may have mistakenly left the phone off the hook, but no. I was told that they were just too busy to talk to people on the phone because their menu had changed (young black haired gentlemen at the counter) Here's an idea.......put your new menu on line and answer the phone. Not exactly customer friendly. My time is just as important as yours.

  • Ubu R.

First, great food, really, outstanding lunch and high quality on all the ingredients. Some of the best sandwiches, soups, and salads in the area. I almost pulled two stars for the spotty service and slow delivery and wrong orders and poor organization, but the food is why I go and that has always been excellent. Even when they goof up our orders, I don't care because it's really good anyway. Expect to wait, expect to not custom order anything, expect amateur waitstaff, expect things not to be quite what you wanted, but let it ride and enjoy the food.

as far as sandwich shops go, this is a favorite. if you find yourself anywhere near the alpharetta area during lunch time ONLY (including saturdays), make sure you go by. it's crazy good. in fact, if their included sides were better, i would give it five stars. wasn't too crazy about the pasta. i had the regular salmon on the menu -- so was the basil chicken salad. i found the amount of dressing to be a little overwhelming so consider that if you're like me. i'm sure they'll reduce it in the sandwiches with spreads. not sure there's much they can do about the chicken or tuna salad. the owners are incredibly nice and helpful. their selection is excellent, too. sandwiches come in regular and ginormous. i am going to say... the regular is probably enough for any appetite. be careful if you choose to sit outside. it's next to a twisted taco... and the dude facing my direction had a megaphone attached to his face. good grief he was loud. i felt sorry for his table friends. topped it off with a brownie. amazing. they're baked individually in some kind of mini cake shape ensuring maximum crusty-edgy-goodness to be shared. i shall terminator this place. (you know... i'll be back?)

I had read a lot of reviews on this place and was prepared to be underwhelmed.....I wasn't....it actually exceeded my expectations. I knew about the overcrowded conditions so I got there at 11:15 and had the place to myself and the undivided attention of the chef/owner(?) who gave me a complete rundown of the menu. I had the "Prodeep" and was worried it might be overpowering (spicy) but it was the absolute perfect balance of spices....it was seriously one of the tastiest dishes I have ever had, anywhere. By the time we left at 12:15, the place was overcrowded and LOUD....I'd definitely go early.

One word to describe Wild Flour, "AWESOME"... I visit Alpharetta 2 to 3 times a year and I MUST eat here every time. I have had every hot sandwich on the menu and I have never been disappointed. My personal favorites are the Jalapeño Lime and the Rosemary Chicken. The bread is made from scratch and baked fresh daily. Another must have is the tomato basil soup "YUMMY" ... I highly recommend ......

I ate here today for the first time and I was pretty overwhelmed. First of all, I was one of three men in the packed place. Secondly, I placed a to-go order (Seinfeld with grilled Chicken and Potato Salad), and there is literally no place to stand inside where you are not in the way of someone trying to get napkins or fill up their drink. I felt like I was dancing with everyone that walked up to the front, so needless to say the place is a bit cramped. It is also quite loud. The lady taking my order practically had to yell at me so I could hear her. As I danced with the other patrons while awaiting my order, I noticed a group of four ladies that I swear were in the Alpharetta version of Sex in the City. I eavesdropped on them for a bit just to pass the time but it was a pretty boring convo... Ten minutes after I order a nice lady hands me my food, and I exit the estrogen filled room and get a breath of fresh air (not implying that it stinks in there, as it actually smells quite good!). I race over to my cubicle farm, sit back at my desk, and open the box. . . What I found was beautiful. I took one bite, and even though no one was around, I made that mmmmhmmm sound of satisfaction. I devoured my tasty sandwich and moved on to the Potato Salad. The Potato salad looked like your standard grocery store potato salad, and that is pretty much what it tasted like too.. Nothing special about it. At one point I bit down on a gritty piece of something... All in All, I would def. eat here again, but I would get another side. I am going to stick with another little deli as my favorite, but this will work in a pinch.

I'm somewhat tentative to review this place - they're already pretty busy and I don't want to exacerbate the situation. Still... Wildflour has some pretty fabulous sandwiches. They're good enough that I check my man-card at the door and do my best to deal with the onslaught of girly decor. I've only gotten the hot sandwiches here, but they're all delicious and generously-sized. I usually don't end up eating my side because the sandwich is enough for me. The bread is just fantastic, all the meats are fresh and tasty, and the sauces are pretty fab as well. Prepare to look like an idiot at times: they're often overloaded and can be a bit messy. For this pleasure, you pay about $8 for the sandwich and another $2 or so for the drink, but it's worth the extra couple bucks compared to your chain shops. This is now my favorite sandwich place in Alpharetta by a pretty significant margin.

Awesome! Food is fresh and oh so good. I stop in whenever I can. Tip: Call your order in ahead of time to avoid the wait if you are doing take out. I've also used Wildflour for corporate catering - a hit EVERY time!

I try to get here often, gourmet sandwiches with great flavor! I've tried many sandwiches there and have not been disappointed yet. I recommend ordering over the phone, so you can beat the lunch rush...it's usually pretty busy! Great customer service as well!!

Bung me, tortas--every ethnicity and cuisine considered, this is the best sandwich place in the ATL. Pork Seinfeld and crab cake (when he has it) are perhaps the best options, but not a bad one among 'em.

  • Tracy W.

A lot of my coworkers really love this place, but I just can't get into it. The salads are ok, but expensive). The sandwiches are ok, but really bready, and I'd really prefer if I could choose between different bread types rather than being stuck with the same old white roll every time. The desserts are good but I've definitely had better (the brownies taste like Duncan Hines to me ... which is good, but I can make that myself). I've been a few times but haven't managed to find anything here that makes me crave it.

Delicious and unique sandwiches. The sides were quite tasty. Too bad they are only open for lunch, but given their closeness to Windward offices, they should do well. Ate so much, could not try the yummy looking desserts. Will come back again.

Freshly made bread and some of the best chicken salad I've ever had. I may sound like a shill, but I was a huge fan of Portabella's when it was around and the quality has remained through the years. My only regret is that the side salad portions are not larger for a fat guy like myself.

  • Sandy Springs F.

Good spot for lunch but watch out.....it is EXPENSIVE! I've been a fan of Michael's since his Portobella days. When he reopened on Windward, I was one of the first to eagerly stand in line for my twice weekly "Seinfeld" fix and definitely did my share of word of mouth advertising. I have patiently watched the prices escalate while the size of the sandwiches get smaller. But at $9.50 for a sandwich ($12.50 including tax and drink), wow...that's steep. Still love the food but, unfortunately, will be a once every two week instead of twice weekly treat.

Really really really like the food. The prodeep curry is amazing, the mahi special tastes like something you'd get on vacation near the beach, and the tuna salad with those pickled onions blow me away. Nothing negative about the food....the only advise is come early when they open, or after the noon lunch rush, cause man...there can be a line out the door!

Great little sandwich shop that makes their own bread. Almost impossible to get in during the week without an advance order but great on the weekend. A couple tables outside are really nice. Had try pan fried red grouper sandwich with the jalapeño lime seasoning. Outstanding! Great amount of fish and fantastic bread. Normally can't get this quality outside of Florida so it was a great surprise. A great deal for $13. Unfortunately the pasta salad had way too much dressing. Swimming would be my description. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Small family owned sandwich shop in Alpharetta, GA. A co-worker of mine told us that the bread is baked every morning and once they are out, they are done for the day. I'm not sure if that is true, but the food definitely holds up to his story. The bread is fresh and delicious. I had the Rosemary Chicken with the Tomato Bisque soup. I highly suggest this restaurant to the local or visitor alike.

Dear Alpharettaers-- I LOVE THIS CAFÉ!!! Every time I happen to come in here, it is always packed and there is reason for that - it's THAT good. So what should you expect? Here is my list: 1. Large lines during the lunch hour 2. Large seating area for a small or large group of people 3. Convenient - right off Windward Pkwy 4. Tons of parking - it's in a strip plaza 5. $8-10 for lunch 6. Large portions a. Large sandwiches b. Large salads c. Large sides with your sandwiches 7. Fresh food including their delicious sour dough bread (don't worry, you won't miss out on this if you order a salad bc it's included) 8. Their chicken salad (weather scooped onto a salad on in a sandwich) is to DIE for!! 9. Variety of café sandwiches, salads, and sides (don't forget to grab an oversized cookie for dessert!!) 10. Friendly staff 11. Clean, comfortable, and cozy café 12. Depending on the time, it can take a while for your food but it's all worth it! I am a regular here so judge my list to YOUR lunch spot likings; bon appetit!

Great food. Incredibly rude owner. The rest of the staff is very nice, but if you ever have to talk to the owner, you will probably never go back again based on his attitude. The line is always long and the wait is incredibly slow. It seems like they are always understaffed. The saving grace is the food. It is quite delicious. I had a run in with the owner more than once. All times he was rude. First time I asked for their "Chicken on the Ranch" sandwich without the Ham. He got almost red faced when I said this. I'm not exaggerating. He snapped at me and said "No substitutions!" I mentioned that I wasn't substituting anything, that I simply didn't want the ham. He replied again "No substitutions." I stared at him blankly for a few seconds, but what felt like a few minutes and he finally decided to be a bit nicer and said "You can get the Rosemary Chicken sandwich with Ranch instead of the Caper sauce." Wait, what? Didn't he just say no substitutions? Now I can substitute, but only on this sandwich? This makes no sense. All of their food is prepared fresh, so there is no mixed in ingredients. It would be easier and more cost effective for him to just not add the freakin' ham! Also, and this may just be me, but the Rosemary Chicken sandwich does not taste similar to the Chicken on the Ranch... Nevertheless, I said "that's fine" and got my order. The second time there was somebody else taking my order so I decided to try again. The person behind the counter just smiled and said "Absolutely". However, the owner came up behind him and in a very pissy tone said "This is a Rosemary Chicken with Ranch instead of the Caper sauce. Make sure you ring it up that way." The person behind the checkout line agreed. After he left, I mentioned that the Rosemary Chicken wasn't very similar to the Chicken on the Ranch last time I was there. The person checking me out said he'd make sure it was similar. This time it was. However, I can't understand why the owner would cause such a stink over this. Just don't put the damn ham on the sandwich! It's like someone asking for no tomatoes! Which, by the way, my wife ordered a salad and asked for no tomatoes and no cheese and he flipped his lid on her too, telling her no substitutions. She hasn't gone back since.

I've been going to Wildflour since they opened across the street from where I work! I don't know if words can justify just how AWESOME this place and the food is! When I'm craving a great sandwich, this is my "Go to" place. The bread is moist and the ingredients are top class. Please bring back your potato salad and the Poblano soup!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality outstanding food that I had at Wildflour. I wasn't expecting much from this tiny little place in a strip mall off of Windward Pkwy., but it is obvious everything is made from scratch and from high quality ingredients. I went with a friend on a Saturday afternoon at around 2pm for lunch. We were told by the chef that since they are closed on Sundays and everything is made from scratch, they had run out of some of the items listed on their menu. Luckily, the daily special Crab cakes were still available. My friend got the crab cakes and I got the jalapeno lime chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The bread is made fresh daily, and you can tell. It is buttery and flaky and melts in your mouth. The jalapeno lime chicken sandwich was tasty without being overly spicy. They should bottle the jalapeno lime sauce they put on that sandwich and sell it:) The chef gave us some free brownies and cookies at the end of our meal for us to take home. That is always a major plus for me. My only issue with this place is the inside seating area. It is way too cramped inside, and I couldn't even get past people sitting in their chairs. Bottom line though- I will definitely be eating here again, as it is some of the best lunch fare I've had OTP North.

If you are ever stuck in Alpharetta, and you haven't already shot yourself in the face, you could do worse than have lunch at Wildflour. With a name like Wildflour, and being in a strip mall in Alpharetta, I was scared this was going to be a super lame fancy yuppie salad spot. And they have those options, but also some excellent sandwiches with MEAT. I had the Seinfeld, with Pork Tenderloin covered in grilled mushrooms and melted provolone, it was damn tasty. I wish they had more sides, as I could only choose between pasta salad and broccoli slaw. But the pasta salad was pretty good.

My brain exploded when I first tried their Seinfeld. I'm dead now, my ghost is posting this. Hands down the best hot sandwiches in Atlanta. Seinfeld and jalapeño lime are fantastic and the brownies are very good. Cold sandwiches are so so, don't waste time missing out on the hot ones. The prodeep is very Indian influenced and good for a cold day. Ask for half sauce, the ratios are a bit off and it becomes more of a soup / gruel.

Loved the Wildflour chicken salad. The dressing is awesome and so is the BREAD!

One of my favorite lunch spots! Homemade bread is wonderful. Tomato basil soup is the best. The Seinfeld, the turkey meatloaf, and salmon sandwiches are flavorful, filling and will likely make you consider this as your new favorite lunch spot. Don't forget to save room for a brownie they are lovely.

I am definitely a fan of Wildflour. I used to eat at the chef's old restaurant in downtown Alpharetta and I waited in those lines too. I generally get the Jalapeno Lime Chicken Sandwich. I love the avocado pico de gallo and the poblano peppers on it. Recently, I got the special of the day which was blackened grouper and shrimp with the jalapeno lime sauce. It was good, but I found the fish to be a bit dry. I had the tomato basil soup as my side, it is very creamy and you can taste the basil but I it tasted a bit salty this time. I used to love to get the half sandwich but that's no longer an option. Also, I really miss the potato salad. At $12 for my sandwich and side, this has become more of a treat lunch than a regular place. I go in prepared to wait because it is a small kitchen and a really popular place so I just make sure that I have the time.

Never had a bad sandwich. Delicious and fresh. It is a bit hectic at lunch because the place is small, but you can eat outside if you want to. I had a Seinfeld, and actually several other sandwiches over the past few months. I always rave about it after I leave. The sides are great too... pasta salad, potato salad, etc... I have turned several of my friends on to this place. It's like a gourmet, fresh, delicious sandwich shop. As Homer says, 9 thumbs up!

I visited Wildflour for a business lunch at around 1pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant was packed - we were lucky to get a seat. There is no waiter service - you order at the front. I ordered a special - the Mahi sandwich, which comes on the Wildflour signature bread (in fact, I don't think that there are any other bread choices). The fish was very fresh and the bread was good. My dining companions also seemed to enjoy their sandwiches - one got a cheese steak and the other a tuna sandwich and a bowl of soup. I would note that when totally full, the restaurant can be a bit noisy, however, there is a good reason that this establishment was so full - the food is very good!

I cannot say enough good things about Wildflour! The sandwiches were wonderful (I have had the Salmon BLT, the Perfect Tuna, and the blackened cod special of the day). Even more wonderful than the sandwiches are the desserts. Get a brownie. It is perfect in every way. Sometimes our group went to Wildflour just to get the brownies! Also, this review would not be complete if I did not mention the great service. Each time we went in the restaurant, we were impressed by the servers. They remembered us each time, which is hard to do in a busy place like WIldflour. When we had to wait for a few minutes during their peak lunch hour, the servers gave us drink cups while we waited! Great place, highly recommend.

I have been to Wildflour twice. Each time, I have ordered one of their great sandwiches. The sandwiches are really good, and the bread is made from scratch. They were both served open-faced (or at least I had to eat them open-faced style because they were so big and messy...in a good way). My only beef (ha ha) with the restaurant is you have to get their early for lunch....I mean EARLY...if you want to be able to sit down. I got there at 11:30 both times and barely was able to find a seat, but I've also attempted to go at 11:45 and noon, and have ended up walking away because the line was soooo long and there were no seats (that's a sign of great food though!). I would highly recommend Wildflour.

I've eaten lunch here several times and the food has always been delicious. Unfortunately, on 2 occasions I've had to deal with the owner, Michael. Today there was confusion around my to-go order. Instead of solving the issue, he was confrontational, condescending and rude. There are a dozen other places in the area with fantastic sandwiches and tomato basil soup, Wildflour is not worth the headache.

This place rocks! I eat here for lunch at least once if not twice a week. You need to come early or just after the lunch rush because it gets packed. I havent found anythnig on the menu that I didnt like and im a pretty picky eater. They also do a great job on catering order

My girlfriend really wanted to try this place so it has been on the list of places to lunch. Wild flour bakes their own bread according to their website and I must say it is very delicious. The flavor and texture of the bread was great. I got the Tuna salad sandwich and I enjoyed it very much. My girlfriend got a wild rice curry bowl that has a Thai and Indian like flavor. That was also very pleasant. The side item we tried was their pasta salad and I did not think the pasta salad was made very well. It was drenched in balsamic at the time. I do plan on coming back to try other things on their menu because just about everything on their menu looked very appealing. My first visit was still really good and it will not be my last. When I walked in, I could tell the place must be a local favorite because it was very packed during lunch hours. If you have the time to spare and hunger, go here during your lunch break and eat try for your self =)

My wife insisted I try this cute little café where she worked and since then I have already been back 3 more times. This place is great because of its small, personable setting and plus the food is yummy. I love this place, it's great! The ingredients are fresh, the food is prepared with care, and the service is solid. I prefer to order the daily special and soup since it's been delicious every time. The Salmon Sandwich is by far the best I've ever had anywhere. I had it dry (without the horseradish dressing-which is still excellent because the salmon is marinaded to perfection and grilled). I paired it with their amazing homemade potato salad and its the best lunch I've had in a long time. A must have in Alpharetta. I recommend adding a little lemon, salt and pepper and of course the tomato and lettuce to the sandwich, but its still amazing without :-)

  • Christine K.

Wildflour has some of the best sandwiches in Alpharetta. Part of the reason is the homemade bread: It's out of this world. From the basil chicken salad to the crabcake to the shrimp salad, everything I've had here is fantastically flavored and fresh. The pasta salad side, with its creamy balsamic dressing, is a favorite. If there's a down side, it's that the place is really loud and on the small side. It's definitely not the location for an intimate conversation over lunch. On the upside, good looking professional guys in Alpharetta like to eat lunch there. Men easily outnumber the women, three to one. So, if you're in the market, you might pick up not only the sandwich of your dreams, but the man of your dreams as well!

Wonderful place to have lunch. Price is a little up there, but it is all worth it. I'd heard about the amazing Crab Cake sandwich from the past and I was determined to get up here to try it! Due to Google Map's error on the placement (it's just easy to blame them!), it took me a third time before I finally found the place, but once again, it was worth the wait. As a side I had their coleslaw which is normally something I do not bother talking about, but theirs was quite good with broccoli, cucumber slices, and few pieces of feta? cheese just to make it a little different. Service all around was great. Like everyone has said, expect a rush and possible long wait line at lunch time. I expect to get back here and raise it to 5 stars.

Love, love, love the food....HATE the layout. But food trumps layout any day of the week. The place is cramped, tables so close it's hard to walk through. The bathroom is beind the counter and the line runs through the restaurant. You place an order, squeeze by to get your drink, try & find a table then wait for the food which sets you back about $10+ for lunch depending on the size of your sandwich and your side (soup, etc). So that was the bad. The GREAT is the food. Quality fresh ingredients. I had a portabella sandwich, with melted cheese and some wonderful tomato bisque soup. The bread and the ingredients were very fresh. For the price this place will be a special treat...but I'd say it's a must try for anyone.

I need to go back here just so I can sit down and enjoy how good the food was. We took a to go order and had to eat quickly in the car. It was not easy to eat in the car but it was so delicious and well made! I can't wait until I have an opportunity to go back!

Best sandwich shop in Alpharetta no doubt. Good charm to the menu though the place itself is a bit lacking in that same charm. Crowded much during lunch (rhyme time) Pricey which makes my rating dicey Brownies to die for, food quantity they could use more thats it

I love this place!! I was introduced to this establishment a few years ago through the Taste of Alpharetta. I tried their cranberry oatmeal cookie and that did it for me. I searched them out and located them on the corner of Windward Parkway and North Point Parkway in Alpharetta. I immediately became a faithful customer. Everything they serve is delicious. and reasonably priced. I have spoken to the owner on several occasions and he has always been very pleasant. I more than likely will be in sometime this week...cant wait!

For a sandwich place, this is about as good as it gets. Unique sandwich combinations; all that I've tried are delicious (the Seinfeld is very good). You will not get a run of the mill Jersey Mike's-like sandwich here; these people are chefs that prepare sandwiches. Delicious potato salad (potatoes are cooked just right ... not crunchy or over-cooked like many places). German style with dill if I recall. Also, remember having a very tasty cookie while there as well :) Only open for lunch. Small dining room and the place can get busy with limited seating, so don't bring a big crowd of people at noon, expecting comfortable seating.

I left 1 star off only due to the lackluster customer service..it was just eh...however the food!...WOW, I got the Seinfeld with the Turkey Meatloaf..it was so damn good, I am pretty sure I didn't put it down, or back it away from my mouth at any point in time..I recommend it for sure! Enjoy.

This is my first review so please bear with me. I went to Wildflour to buy a to-go order for my wife and myself. Had to wait for a while for them to prepare the food, but it was well worth the wait. The interior was cozy enough, although I think it's better to order the sandwich to go as it does get crowded at lunch time. We ordered Chicken on the Ranch and The Seinfeld. Both were very good and tasty. I liked The Seinfeld better for its mushrooms and pork tenderloin. The special sauce was so creamy it looked like a salad dressing so I put all of it on my side salad. I didn't know that I had to put it on the sandwich itself. I wish I had more of that sauce. For the side, we ordered their Potato Salad and chips. I'm not a fan of potato salad but this was pretty good! Their potato was cooked just right so that it didn't get too mushy, and the taste was just right as well. The small garden salad on the side was fresh and matched well with the sandwich. It's just enough to keep you appetized for the main event. My wife couldn't finish the chicken on the ranch because it was a very generous serving, but even after we refrigerated and reheated it, it was still quite good. I think that is a mark of a good sandwich.

Longtime Alpharetta foodies will remember Portabella's, a kickass sandwich shop near downtown Alpharetta (in what is now Cafe Efendi). They had the most amazing crab cake sandwiches. Unfortunately Portabella's closed down years ago. Fast forward to today. The founder/chef of Portabella's is back, and on Windward! They are in the space formally occupied by Old Chef. This much smaller restaurant well replicates their previous concept. It is fancy sandwiches, delicious sides and a handful of fresh baked goodies. I've been meaning to try it, and am kinda amazed it hasn't been yelped yet. The place was packed. I tried a salmon sandwich on a fresh-made sourdough roll. I think this is available on the regular menu, but it was also featured on the daily special since they have fresh sockeye salmon. It was delicious. The fish was cooked well of high quality salmon. There was also a lot of it, a very generous portion. For my side item I tried the potato salad. Also delicious. It all disappeared quickly. Finished things off with a chocolate chip cookie that we shared at our table. It was a little too crunchy for my taste, but I liked it. The menu isn't too complicated yet changes a lot. There is enough to try here to keep me coming back. That's a big deal since I usually don't like hoity toity sandwich joints like this. At the end of the meal, the chef came by to speak to us. My wife asked him about the crab cake sandwiches. He sighed as if he gets the question often. He says he hasn't been happy with the quality of crab he's been getting, so he doesn't offer it at this point. Told us to check back in a few days though. I appreciated his candid answer and the fact that he wouldn't compromise the quality of his signature sandwich. Can't wait until I see it on the menu though! What's not to like here? This space is small and noisy. I blame the stripmall for this. I also wasn't impressed with the offering on the kids menu. But this place is a winner. If you're into the gourmet sandwich scene, you've gotta check them out.

Went there today for a department lunch (4 people). Full disclosure, my son works here. I had the turkey meatloaf sandwich (Seinfeld) with a side of macaroni salad - very good. I had the half sandwich, which is plenty, unless you're starving. The bread was very soft - just right - melted cheese on the meatloaf - good taste - moist. Macaroni Salad was just spicy enough - had a good taste - a brown color that was a bit unappetizing, but quickly dispelled once I ate it. They get crowded fast - but service was great (see disclosure above) :-) I will be back!

GREAT FOOD. The owner came out to chat with us about the menu. It's obvious he is passionate about his food and is excited to share it with everyone. I had the fresh, wild caught salmon sandwich and the other two in my party had the cornmeal dusted catfish. Everything was expertly prepared and oh so palatable. Brownies were amazingly delicious.

Went here for a final co-op lunch. PARKING: Parking gets pretty crowded after 11:30 on weekdays. Once spaces run out, the dirt/grass lot fills us as well. The shopping center could do with another handicapped space. SET UP: Your only hope is to get here as it opens, as the line can and will be to the door. You order at the counter and they will bring your order to your table. NOTE: Account for a 30 minute wait after you order. They have online ordering now, so I will definitely try that next time. FOOD: Dang, the Seinfeld was good ($12). This was the best sandwich I have EVER had, hands down. My group was in heaven. I got the pasta salad as a side, and it balanced out the savory sandwich quite well. In addition, the portions are huge, so the $12, combined with the deliciousness, was well worth it. SERVICE: I think they need to invest in one more waiter/busboy/kitchen staffer. There was only one waiter running in and out of the kitchen with different entries. He looked a little harried, as would be expected when serving a continuous line that goes out the door. Wait was long, but well worth it. Definitely account for 1.5 hours here during the lunch rush.

Let me preface this by saying that I hate to not give this place 5-stars.. but with the new restriction on how many of those incredible brownies you can buy (one per person?? so much for bringing one home for my wife), i'm ultra disappointed and may not be back for quite a while. I go 45 minutes out of my way to eat here - and for good reason. The food is ULTRA AMAZING and the owner is a fantastic guy. However, for a restaurant to put a cap on the items it sells just in case other people may want to buy them just makes zero business (nevermind customer service) sense to me whatsoever. I appreciate that others may want to buy these - however, i shouldn't be punished because the restaurant doesn't want to make extra. Wouldn't be any different if they told you that you could only buy one sweet tea per party, just in case other parties want to buy a sweet tea. Ridiculous right? Here's a hint, Wildflour.. They will sell out, trust me. And if they don't, call me and i'll buy the left overs. They sell out by 12 no matter what - i've been here a good 4-5 times, and everytime before the "restriction", they sold out just as fast. Perhaps supply should match demand and you wouldn't have to tell a customer with money to spend NO. Up the price, make more, and profit. It's a great model.

They do not skimp on their sandwiches! The owner Mike is a man of the people, out talking to people in line, helping us find the best seats, he loves talking about his sandwiches, and I love hearing about them. I did a 50/50 split with my wife, half a Seinfeld and half a Chicken Salad Sand. Both were amazing, but I think I preferred the Seinfeld - the cheese and sauce put it over the top. It was packed and I'm glad. It's good to see great places like this succeeding. I'll def be back for more sandwiches soon.

This is probably the best sandwich shop I've ever been to. I was greeted by the owner, Mike, as I was looking over at the chalkboard menu on the wall. Great guy. He gave me a rundown of all the sandwiches and you could tell that he took a lot of pride in what he was serving Each sandwich is $12. I know...sounds like a lot but it includes a side and a fountain drink. And from his descriptions of the sandwiches, he doesn't use cheap ingredients. I mean the salmon he uses are farm-raised vegans! On the menu you'll find both hot and cold sandwiches. I ordered the day's special which was a lightly fried flounder. It was absolutely amazing. The breading was very well seasoned, and it was fried perfectly. The meat was tender and juicy. The jalapeno sauce was great. The tomatoes were super fresh. And the best part....his homemade bread. Best way I can describe it is a honey wheat bread. It was warm and soft and it just melted in my mouth. Mike was telling me he started off as a baker, and yada yada...sandwich shop. So yeah...bread was amazing. I got the pasta salad for my side and it was also really good. Whole wheat bow-tie noodles with broccoli and tomatoes tossed in a Italian based dressing. Sides do change on a daily basis, but there's also tomato bisque and chips to chose from the day I was there. I'm too weak to resist any sweets, so I had to try the pumpkin cinnamon roll. Very good. If you like pumpkin flavored food then I highly recommend getting one. Mike really has some skills when it comes to baking. They also have salads. I saw one person get a salmon salad and it was HUGE. You get a nice sized piece of salmon.

This is such an adorable cafe!! Thanks to my lovely friend Kelly M., I was able to have a fantastic lunch here! The bread here is AMAZING!! I'm not really into carbs or crave them but I could easily eat an entire loaf of their freshly baked bread without a problem. I ordered the Seinfeld with meatloaf. It was better than I anticipated yet fully satisfying! YUM! The pictures definitely do the sandwich justice & their tomato basil soup is my new favorite now. It was so creamy and had the best seasoning I've tasted in a long time. I would drive to Alpharetta just for a large bowl of this soup!! It was THAT good. There is patio seating outside the cafe & plenty inside. You will not be disappointed when you visit this place for the first time or I'm guessing 5th time. We got a chance to briefly meet with the owner & can definitely tell he cares about the quality of all of his baked goods/menu items. Looking forward to introducing other friends to this lovely cafe even if it's located OTP. It's definitely worth the drive, you ITPers! :) Thanks again Kelly M. for a great lunch!!

Good food. For non tomatoes lovers, the turkey avocado is pre-made and doesn't allow for you to customize.

I got the salmon sandwich ($12.50). It has mixed greens (not really lettuce? But I preferred the greens) tomato and horseradish sauce (which I got on the side). All sandwiches come with a side or you can get soup for a dollar more. I got the tomato soup. Everything was pretty good. Sandwich was okay but the soup stood out. Very rich and creamy and a bit in the salty side though. Probably couldn't eat too much of it. Also, I think they may bake their bread on site? It tasted pretty fresh to me.. Though that is just speculation. Also note that I was really hungry (when am I not?)! Overall, good food. Service was prompt. Restaurant was clean. Total including soup, sandwich, tax came out to $14.45. Paying $16-$17 for a simple lunch by myself is a bit more than I'd like to spend, though I guess it's okay for the occasional splurge.. Probably will eventually return and try other menu items.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is excellent, staff are wonderful, and the owners truly care about the customer. The food here is phenomenal. I have been coming here once a month for about a year now, the "Seinfeld" sandwiches bringing me back every time. The pork variant paired with their tomato basil soup, my god. The only inconvenience is that they are a victim of their own success. As other reviewers have mentioned they sell out quick and usually by noon. They should consider tooling up to meet demand or potentially relocating. The owner is a very pleasant guy and really gives everything a personal touch.

Hands down the best place for lunch in Alpharetta. Today I went with the Turkey Avocado Wrap and the Tomato Basil Soup. As my mom would say, good gracious. The soup is like being transported to home as a child. The wrap is gigantic but light and filling at the same time. The force is strong with this place. I will continue to come back for as long as I do business in Alpharetta. That's my word and I'm sticking to it.

This is the place to be for lunch in Alpharetta. It is a super casual lunch venue known for its sandwiches and tomato basil soup. The soup was delicious. I ordered the Seinfeld with chicken. It was a large, messy affair but yummy with a secret sauce I really liked. My other colleagues ordered the chicken salad sandwich which looked much easier to eat. They really enjoyed it. Hope to come here again and try the chicken salad. It definitely gets crowded here. Definitely recommend getting here early especially if you want to eat here. It is also quite loud so more appropriate for a casual, social lunch rather than a business lunch.

Everything here is fresh and awesome, however, if you know what's best for you, get the chicken salad and tomato soup. Also, the baked goods never disappoint, but the brownie with butter finger topping is so good it should be illegal.

Fave lunch spot!! Get there a little early to beat the lunch crowd. THE BEST TOMATO SOUP and freshly made bread in Alpharetta. I always get the Seinfeld, it's delish. I'm usually stuffed and can rarely eat the entire sandwich so I take home leftovers. They give you a homemade baguette with the soup so if bread isn't your thing then just make sure you share it with someone who loves bread. It's very good. Also, the brownies, they're homemade and you must have one for later. You won't regret it. It's cozy and gets noisy when crowded. It's a good noisy though, is more like lunchtime chatter. It's a walk up place your order (the specials are written on the board to the right of the register). Free refills self serve drink machine. After placing your order, grab your number, find a table sit and wait for the server to bring your food out. The seating is benches and chairs.

I ate here for the first time yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. Their chicken salad sandwich was outstanding, and their bread is delicious. Great natural vibe in the restaurant and you feel the personal attention of the owners. All 3 people in my party enjoyed their food and the shrimp and fish poboy got rave reviews also.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING! It was our first visit today. We mentioned that we were new to the area to the young man taking our order and he was very enthusiastic in describing all the menu items. I chose the Seinfeld with the grilled chicken (YUM) and a side of tomato basil soup and my husband had the Mahi Mahi sandwich with a side of the cream of mushroom soup. It was, he said, the BEST soup he had ever had. Best. ever. Fantastic food. Freshly made bread - it was obvious. Clearly prepared with pride and attention to detail. We look forward to our next meal. Next time, I hope the turkey meatloaf is still available.

After reading Michelle K.'s review of Wildflour, I had to give this place a try... but what to order? Arriving at the counter, it was a tough decision: the Jalapeno Lime Sandwich or the Turkey Meatloaf Sandwich? What tipped the balance in favor of the Turkey Meatloaf Sandwich was that it was only available for a limited time. I had to try it while I still could. My wife opted for the Seinfeld with Grilled Chicken. I chose potato salad as a side, my wife chose tomato basil soup. Luckily for us, it looked like we had just beat the lunch rush. As we sat and waited, the line to the counter had grown, nearly reaching the door. Then, pow! Like Thor's Hammer leveling mountains, two sandwiches of enormous proportions were dropped at our table. That's a big sammich! At that moment, I wished I had a snake's jaws (or at least a porn star's) to take on such girth. At least that explains why these sandwiches cost $12 each. Jockeying the sandwich around in-hand, I was able to find a suitable angle of attack where I wasn't pressing ingredients into my nose or toppling them over back to the plate below. I wasn't going to be emasculated by wielding a knife and fork at a sandwich shoppe. Caveman eat with hands! The Turkey Meatloaf Sandwich was really good. The sage flavor really came through and they were able to keep the meatloaf from drying out. Savory filling goodness. The potato salad was pretty good too, served slightly cooler than room temperature, and absent the obnoxious raw oniony crunch that befalls so many other potato salads. I approve. My wife really liked her grilled chicken Seinfeld, though being the feminine specimen that she is, daintily picked it apart with knife and fork. The tomato basil soup was ridiculously creamy. I mean, there may have actually been tomato and basil blended into that bowl of cream. Very rich. Tasty, but I wouldn't be able to down all of it. The food was delish, but the portion sizes are liable to leave a working person on their lunch break in a carb induced food coma for the rest of the afternoon.

Just come here. Order anything. Happiness. Repeat. The owner of this place is great...super talented in the kitchen and a cool dude. Lots of gluten-free options. Enjoy!

AMAZING!!!! my colleague and I had lunch here on a Tuesday at 1:30. It wasn't nearly as crowded, but be forewarned, your chances of getting a delicious cheesecake brownie is slim to none (but Michael did find us one to split!) She had the Basil Chicken Sandwich with the Tomato Basil Soup and I had the Perfect Tuna sandwich with no relish (and TB soup). The food is SUPERB, light, filling, and fresh. It's healthy and large enough portions to split if you have a small appetite. Can't wait to go back for the Indian flare entrée ("Prodeep"). It sounded great! Enjoy!!

Great catfish sandwich, grilled just right, on a fresh baked bread roll. Spoke extensively with the owner who obviously cares a great deal. Brownies are great! This was the first visit for me and I'm coming back - soon.

The food here is awesome and so fresh! The best tomato soup of your life is waiting here. I would give this place 5 stars, but it's a little cramped in here and often times there is a line zigzagging around your table. Omg also they had some dank looking desserts that I didn't grab, but I'm thinking that was most likely a poor choice on my part so you shoyld just go for it. ;)

Terrible customer service. My friend and I tried to come here last week because we heard the food was great. We had a puppy with us and were planning on eating outside. We had no intentions of bringing the dog inside. Right as we stepped onto the curb towards the front door, a gentleman, whom I assume is the owner greeted us. Only thing is, it wasn't the type of greeting you're probably imagining. He opened the door and had this look on his face as if he had just inhaled the worst smell you could imagine, where he then proceeds to shake his finger in the air at us like he's Dikembe Mutombo and says, "No dogs allowed." Ok... I decided to go in to order for the both of us. As I'm walking in I try to make small talk with the gentleman on the topic of dogs being allowed inside restaurants. I simply asked him, "Oh so dogs aren't allowed inside here at all?" The gentleman then said to me in a snide tone, "I don't know where YOU go to eat, but there are no restaurants in Atlanta that allow dogs." We all know this is not true. Plenty of establishments allow dogs. I had to stand up for myself, so I told the gentleman it wasn't necessary to be condescending and a smartass about the matter. He then told me to go outside, said that I called him a name, and told us we're not welcome there. The gentleman shuts the door in our faces and then has the audacity to lock the door like a child in grade school seeking refuge in his bedroom from a bullying sibling. I work in retail, and I understand how important GOOD customer service is. What I experienced here was not it. Very disrespectful and rude, and it all started before we even stepped through the door. The gentleman was abrasive upon the initial greeting, and it was all downhill from there. We were looking forward to trying this place out, but we will not be returning. Thanks dude, you lost a customer before you even gained one.

Love, love, love Wildflour! I live in Dawsonville and work in Roswell but whenever I can make time to stop right in the middle of my commute and if it is around lunch time I am going to make this happen. I had the Rosemary Chicken this week with tomato basil soup and one of the brownie butterfinger things and I was in heaven. Okay, so I ate my brownie butterfinger thing before my lunch came, forgive me Lord. Seriously People, if you haven't tried it, you need to. Yes, there can be a line. Yes, it is a little pricey. Whatever, its worth it.

Amazing sandwiches. Great staff. This a place you will want to try if you're in the area. The Seinfeld w/chicken tastes amazing if you want to try their staple sandwich.

WOW. Simply outstanding. Stopped by today for lunch and was blown away. For a simple sandwich shop this place just knocks it out of the park. I had the Seinfeld (mushrooms, provolone, tomato, chicken) and it was phenomenal. Just the right amount of gooeyness, heaping of meat, GREAT flavor, crunchy bread crust, this was an awesome sandwich. The surprise was the incredible tomato basil soup. It was out of this world. People complaining about the prices simply need to realize that it's not a simple sandwich/soup/salad shop. This place is legit.

Amazing!!! Has been great since the were Portabella's Pantry in downtown Alpharetta several years back (over 10). It's gotten a bit pricey of late but for a lunch or early dinner spurge, it's totally worth it. (Basil Chicken Sandwich)

I love this place! I remember back in the day when it was Portabello's in downtown Alpharetta. It just keeps getting better. Tomato basil soup with rolls, everyone in my family loves this (and we are all picky eaters). Shrimp sandwich on hoagie - divine. Can't go wrong eating here. A little $$ but so worth it. Why eat bad when you can eat good? And the owner is a gem. Nice people. Good food. Two thumbs up!

Another great lunch spot off Windermere! The corn chorizo chowder and tomato basil soup are delicious. Order the chicken salad and dip in soups. Only reason for not giving a 5-star is the pricing is a little high and they don't have potato salad which I would expect a a deli. Other than that love the unique choices and staff very friendly

YUM YUM YUM!!! I don't remember what I ordered the first time I came, but it must've not impressed me, or maybe it was the extremely busy lunch crowd where I was eating with someone's butt in my face. Butt...my second time experience was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Seinfeld sandwich with turkey meatloaf and a side of their tomato basil soup. La Madeline's tomato basil has always been my favorite, but Wildflour is just as good with their own twist to it. Can't wait to go back again. Oh! I also found out that they are secretly open in the mornings for breakfast too, but only for a couple of hours. Gonna have to try it one morning and see what experimental croissant the chef is up to that morning.

The chef/owner always uses fresh ingredients and, as a result, the sandwiches are some of the best in Alpharetta. I've gotten the Salmon BLT, Crab Cake Sandwich, and Shrimp Sandwich Salad...all have been really good. If you're going during lunch hour on a weekday, prepare for a long line because it's a trendy little spot.

Love supporting local businesses! Every time I come to Georgia this is on my list of places to eat. It's a little on the pricey side who sandwiches but well worth it,

Excellent sandwich. How do I define that? REAL ingredients. Ham and turkey that were thick carved not extruded then sliced paper thin. Had the hammered turkey -- their version of a club on their baked bread. Very Yummy and well worth the little extra money. Five stars is hard to give to a sandwich shop but the pasta salad knocked it over the top. Equal to San Fran fare and I didn't think that was possible in Atl!!! I didn't have the brownie but I understand that I must. I will have to go back before I leave town in July.

Great sandwiches, including some unique choices and unusual sides. A little expensive. Just be prepared to wait... And wait... Most recently I got there at 11 30 so the crowd hadn't showed up yet. It still took 25 minutes for a single sandwich. That's common, but if you're not in a hurry it's worth it.

I never get tired of this place. everything is crafted with wonderful detail. The quality of the food from the bread to the meats to even the vegetarian Indian dish (yes Indian dish) is absolutely fantastic. The desserts are no different you should absolutely try one of Michael's brownies -the best I have ever had. The only thing to be improved upon is the seating situation get better chairs and a better set up for taking orders. for time they open for dinner I'd like to see that happen at least a couple of nights a week because it in the evening it does have a cool ambience.

The best cafe in metro Atlanta. Everything is gourmet, homemade and delicious. Michael, the owner and chef (previously of Portabella fame) cares deeply about only using the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. The bread is baked daily and is the stuff dreams are made of. I love the salmon, the chicken salad is amazing and every single thing I have eaten here is beyond delicious. The tomato soup is the best I've ever had, I love it (and I don't even like tomato soup - lol). If you like food, you owe it to yourself to eat here. Highest recommendation.

Went here for lunch. A big chalkboard on one wall indicates the meals for lunch. Mostly salads and sandwiches. You walk up to the rear of the room and order, Then sit down with a number or wait for take out. They have quite a few tables. Including one looong church pew that has several tables along side it. Decor is pretty simple, concrete floor. Reminds me of a "loft" without the cushions or floor lamps. I ordered the daily special - BBQ shrimp po-boy and a cup of tomato basil soup. The soup was, well, soup. Hey, it's tomato basil - 2 ingredients. I suppose they got them together right. The po-boy was quite good. My colleague got a salad with chicken in it. He liked the fact that the chicken was warm. The menu is very inviting, and the food tastes good. Overall, the food is tasty, unique, and relatively expensive for lunch $12 and change - no drink.

Good tomato basil soup. The sandwiches here are decent sized but not huge. They have a wide variety of styles and types. I met a friend here for lunch. It was very busy and LOUD inside. You walk up and place your order and the area around the counter is very congested. I will come back at some point. Please get rid of the styrofoam cups and paper plates. That would get you to four stars in my opinion.

The owner/manager is by far the rudist person. When I asked for a vegetarian version of the turkey avocado I was flat out told no. I was then offered anotger "vegetarian" option. I did ask a coiple times what was on that wrap amd the manager said "you either want it or you don't" way to treat your customers @$$!

The worst service ever. The people who work are here are incredibly rude! I witnessed a customer getting yelled at today for a mistake that appeared to be the employee's fault. The food is below average and bland. I would never eat here again. Don't waste your time.
