Great ambiance. Delicious food with quite a few veggie options. Great place for a business lunch. Soups are tasty.

Tuscany Cafe is only a block from my home. I enjoy the street side dining the best. Food and service is great. Really happy now that they're open at night now.

I'm a pretty frequent visitor to this place since I work so close by. Very good food. Wonderful people working there with excellent service. Salmon Salad is very tasty.

This is my second visit to this cafe and it feels like I am in love with its food. Today I ordered spicy chicken panini with Caesar salad on the side. It was one of the best panini ever...perfect crust with right amount of spice. Don't get me started on the deserts...I don't wanna name any because they all looked so delicious in the display...trust me...order anything here and it will be a treat to your taste buds.

I definitely recommend asking for the daily specials, they have a long list of things they serve that aren't on the regular menu. The setup is nice both on the inside and outside (weather permitting). Very friendly staff and they make great recommendations if you are undecided. Parking is available right on the street for the most part The last two times I've came here for lunch the Cesar salad was not fresh, maybe because I ordered the lunch vs the regular salad.

Delicious menu with an amazing variety. I love the seafood pot pie and the Caesar salad. A little pricey but a great place to go for a date or a celebratory lunch. Cute atmosphere, attentive staff, and awesome daily specials. Love their coffee too.

Ate here today for lunch with coworkers. First time here. Ate outside. Nice atmosphere. Daily specials... Lots of choices. Had the chicken salad crossaint with a side of pasta salad (really good). Crossaint soft and flaky. Chicken salad needed a pinch of seasoning but over all good. Coworkers had asiago penne pasta said was really good and the chicken pot pie was huge. But was also stated as good. Food took a long time to come out. Over 30 min. Parking is a challenge. Food is a little pricey. I would return

I work down the street and we get takeout from here quite a bit. They have a standard menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches, but where they really shine is their daily specials. They have a delicous chicken pot pie and always have different meat pies, fish dishes, and other specials. I've never eaten dessert but they have a nice display. The service is always friendly, and they have a few tables outside for dining on nice days.

Found this place for lunch with a friend. Loved the food and atmosphere - and location, hidden in an apartment complex. Plan to go back for dinner.

While sitting in virtually immobile congestion on Old Milton after leaving a meeting I had attended one morning, I wanted to try something light for lunch, but to avoid the ubiquitous chain restaurants in the area. A quick search of Yelp led me to choose Tuscany Café. Two and a half miles. This is how far I needed to drive. That should be 4-6 minutes by car. Did it take 4-6 minutes to get there? Of course not... this is Alpharetta! Seven traffic signals. Six joggers dodging. Five drive and text. Four screeching brakes. Three near-wrecks. Two reckless cops. And a partridge in a peach tree. Sixteen minutes. How do people live like this? But I digress... Tuscany Café is located at the corner of Mill Creek and Cicero, beside a dry cleaner at ground level of an AMLI apartment community. By the small number of Yelp reviews, one might think the place is new, but the earliest review was from 2008. Five years. Plenty of time to get their shit together, and yet, apparently, not nearly enough. I walked in around 12:30 on a weekday. Busy? Somewhat. Maybe 80% full. The hostess met me after a couple of minutes and asked if I wanted to wait 10-15 minutes for a table inside, though I could see there were two empty tables that had not yet been cleared. I was starving, and thought I could use the *ahem* fresh air, so I asked to sit outside, where there were a few tables available. I also wasn't keen to be squeezed into such a tight space as they have inside, when every table was occupied either by white businessmen or middle-aged women whose careers consist of lying beside the pool and drinking too much wine at lunch. I was one of three men not wearing a polo shirt. Didn't get the memo. I sat outside and ordered a tea. It was hot, but I was under an awning to avoid Hyperion's relentless gaze (we don't get along so well, he and I, because he's always trying to force me to wear pastel pink, head to toe). After a few minutes, I began to reconsider my choice to dine outdoors, as the air filled with the clamor and exhaust of gas-powered edgers. There were three other tables occupied outside, with a single server. A chalkboard featured an impressive array of items not on the regular menu. Minutes passed. A pair of women arrived and sat at one of the outdoor tables. More minutes passed. Another pair of women. The waitress took their drink orders. Tick Tock Tick Tock The waitress took the food orders of the first pair that had arrived later than I, and then minutes later, the second. Twenty-five minutes after I had been seated, she took my order, apologizing for the delay. Peppered turkey sandwich, with Caesar salad. My food came thirty minutes later. A cold sandwich, with deli turkey, alfalfa sprouts ("alfa" on the menu), red onion, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, on ciabatta. Three. Zero. Minutes. The waitress again apologized because things were "just crazy" in the restaurant. I asked if they were short-staffed that day. No... Just busy. Really? It's a good sandwich. The mayo was globbed excessively onto the bread, so it wasn't exactly "light"... or "lite"... but I care more about enjoying my food than whether I'll live past 40. The salad, however, was a disappointment, being no more than a bed of room-temperature romaine topped with a creamy Caesar dressing and a few shavings of parmesan. My check took an expectedly long time to arrive. After an hour and twenty minutes at Tuscany, I finally left... in time to start thinking about what I should have for dinner. Food, 7/10. Service, 2/10. Overall, 4/10.

Amazing! Amazing! Did I say amazing? This is a nice little tucked away, Italian restaurant. I tried the jerk salmon salad and I've eaten the crab quiche, both were great! This place is officially on my list of favorites.

Came here with my family for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. There were five of us and I had tried calling several times earlier in the day (they do close between lunch and dinner) to see if a reservation was a good idea. No one ever answered the phone, but I decided to chance it anyway. Reservations? Ha! At first I thought the place might be closed. There were exactly two people having dinner around 6:45 on a Saturday. And it didn't look like they expected much volume given that there were exactly three people working the entire restaurant, two out front and one in the open kitchen. Needless to say, my hopes were not high. Silly me. Even though the crab cake entree was supposed to come with "roasted corn bisque" (which those who ordered it were very excited about) and instead was tabled with mashed potatoes instead, with no explanation for the substitution, the meal was excellent. My family, which has a long relationship with crab cakes from Maryland's Eastern Shore, declared these specimens very good. I myself had the fish tacos and was rewarded with two of the meatiest tacos I've ever seen with tilapia fried to a perfect crisp (panko, maybe?) I regretted having dessert waiting at home once we saw the case full of house-made pastries. I'd love to come back for dessert and maybe hit this place up for a sandwich at lunch time. Maybe at that time of day there are more people enjoying this (very) hidden gem.

We were the only people dining on a Saturday night at 6:30- not a good sign. My husband loved his cobb salad, but the rest of our meal was nothing great. There are so many other spectacular places in the Atlanta area. This is not one of them.

Good lunch spot! Always packed during the week, so try to get there early. They offer outdoor seating which is a nice plus on days like today! The food is fresh, and they offer a really good variety of salads, sandwiches, and soups. Tasty dishes. The one drawback for me is that service is pretty slow. And I've been here a few times to know that it really hasn't changed in that respect. However, if you have the time, go and enjoy yourself. The food is pretty good, and you get to people watch if you sit outside.

Tiny, overpriced salads, with notoriously slow staff. Seriously, it's like they forget what they're doing, and that's a real mood-killer when a group comes in on their work lunch break and HAS to get back in a reasonable window. Parking is inconvenient as well, since it's whatever you can find on the side of the road. Luckily the food tastes decent, and the ambiance is nice. Their outdoor seating is quite pleasant.

This deli is located in the AMLI at Milton Park apartment complex. I've eaten here a few times, and it's a standard breakfast and deli spot (I think they had a failed attempt at being open for Fri/Sat dinner). The prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. They have a few outdoor tables and the restaurant overlooks a lake, so it's a very popular place to go on nice days.

My family and I just moved to Georgia, and this little restuarant is right by our temp housing (within walking distance). We noticed they were open for dinner on Friday nite, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the tomato bisque/goat cheese appetizer (served with French Bread slices)... YUMMY!!!! Definitely will be craving this on a regular basis. My daughter (she's 9) loved the chicken noodle soup, we then shared the maple glazed salmon/mashed potato dinner (plenty for both of us). My husband ordered the lump crab cakes; he said they were very meaty and cooked perfectly. They also have an amazing selection of desserts... we were too full to give any a try however. With 3 glasses of wine, and the above, our meal came to a reasonable $78. We'll definitely be back.

Extensive menus with lots of daily specials. Salads, sandwiches, soups, etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a lovely fall afternoon on the outside dining area. I had no idea this place was even here. It was right around the corner from where we had an appointment. It is on a quiet, tree lined residential street.

I came here for the first time two days ago, bringing with me for guests. While the service was extremely slow, due to an apparent rush, the food that we got more than made up for it. I had a grilled blackened grouper sandwich and three of my guests had chicken quesadillas with roasted peppers and cheddar cheese inside. Yet another guest had the Cobb salad. All of our food was excellent And each of my guests felt that their dishes were the best they've ever had of this kind of food. They took time to exclaim about specific qualities, for example the chicken in the Cobb salad, and the quantity and excellence of the cooked ingredients inside the quesadilla, and all left extremely happy. My grouper sandwich was one of the better ones that I've ever had, though perhaps not the best ever. In any case, I too left very satisfied and will plan to go back.

This place is so cute and their food is awesome! It's just across the street from where I work and it's by AMLI apartment. I love the area where there's a Mediterranean vibe. They have tables and chairs outside the restaurant and that's where we chose to sit down and eat cos it's just to gorgeous outside. For the food, I've tried a few already cos this is my go to place for lunch, but let me tell you about what I got today. I got the Blackened Salmon with BLT and mayo Sandwich and it was delish!!! with fries on the side. The sandwich has a kick of spicyness (not too much) and the fish was well cooked. I love it! The last time, I had gyro, and let me tell you, it's one of the best I tried. They also serve coffee and desserts that's why this place is the bomb! Glad I discovered this quaint place which is hidden at the back of a residential area. Will be back for more Mediterranean food!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
