This place used to be really good when they started. The quality of food has gone down.. but I will visit and give them another chance. Good Chk Biryani and chicken Moghlai..

I would not go here. Food not tasty. Same gravy for both the dishes we ordered. Way too spicy. Badly put together. Way too pricey for the quality of food. Very poor ambience.

My husband and I ate lunch here yesterday. I had the Vegetable Biryani and for him, the Chicken Biryani. Both great! I asked for spicy and I definetly got it! I would say to those who are a little wary of trying Indian food, this is the place to start. A great, versatile menu that's easy to understand and plenty of things to try. We will be going back!

Stopped in for lunch and recieved great service. Vegetable thali was awesome and loved the Naan bread.

There biryani needs more flavor. It's not the best biryani I have had. The curries are very so so. I visit this place only once in a while for change of taste. Ambience is good, staff is friendly.

I was really excited to go here for lunch despite it only having 3 stars. First, when we went for lunch on Sunday , we were informed that they are going to charge us dinner prices for the biryani instead of the normal lunch . That didn't sit well with me . The biryani could have been tastier and a little spicier . When we asked for pickle, we were served this pungent cauliflower that no one at our table enjoyed . The chicken biryani was alright . Service was good .

The location is good. The decor is clean, and the ordering process is straight forward. The food is good-to-average for local Indian style. I can see this place being a good hit for lunch-time with all the local corporate offices during the week, but I decided to try it for dinner instead. Overall just "good", but nothing great.

Delicious. During every visit to Atlanta we make sure to stop here at least a few times. Have enjoyed every dish I have tried. Especially the Veg Manchurian and the Malai Kofta. The biryani is nice but if you like spicy, don't hesitate to ask them to kick it up to spicy--it's worth it. I could also just eat a whole plate of their yummy naan. The interior is swanky but relaxed. Great place for lunch or an easy dinner. If you have never had Indian, it is a great place to go. If you are an Indian cuisine expert, you will also find a love for the food at Biryani Pointe.

Let me preface this review by saying that I am not an Indian food expert, nor do I eat Indian food frequently. Now that that's out of the way, I want to say that my experience here was pretty nice. The food was outstanding, the wait time for the food wasn't bad, and the service was friendly. The atmosphere is not exactly what I would have expected, but I didn't really mind it. The price was affordable as well. I had the lamb biryani and my wife had a chicken dish with curry. We also had the garlic naan. There again, I don't normally eat lamb, but this was just outstanding. The rice was cooked perfectly, along with the lamb, and it made for a great dish. My wife's chicken curry, for lack of the Indian name, was also just fantastic. We will definitely go back to this particular place. They have earned our business.

Asked for a Chicken Biryani.. to go.. extra spicy .. and confirmed once the order was placed that they got the extra spicy bit.. and was told .. they did. Got home.. opened it up..first taste.. no flavor over all.. let alone the spicy bit that I had specifically requested. The saving grace was probably the few little chicken pieces i found in it, which were cooked right. I guess we have a fight on.. who's got the worst Indian food on Windward.. Abhiruchi .. or Paradise ? I wouldn't be going to either place anytime soon.

No stars since we were ignored. We were the only non-Indian patrons in the restaurant. We sat down and waited and waited while other Indian patrons that came in after us were served. They never acknowledged we were there, brought water, or even said hello. So if you're not Indian, don't waste your time.

My vegetarian wife loves the ample portion of vegetable Biryani...spicy!. I had the Mutton Masala and found it tasty but I should have ordered an extra side of Naan bread to dip in that wonderful gravy. I love the menu and think it is great for carry out. The ambience...hmmm....kind of drafty by the front door. This place is close to home for us and convienient if you like spicy indian.

  • Mahesh D.

The Biryani is not that great. The curries are ok. However, their kitchen closes 30 min before the actual closing time. If that was the case, why keep the restaurant open when you cant serve food. Anyone going there should not only ask if they are open but also find out if their kitchen is open.

The renovated place is better - a much better menu with even more choices!

  • Ramon D.

Decent food and generous portions. I had chicken vindaloo prepared very tasty. It comes with half order of butter naan and rice. It had a little to much sauce for me. The spicy paneer appetizer was good too.

Firstly, their curries are not bad. My kids like them as they were the least spicy ones from all Indian restaurants in our area. Biryani is sad and very inconsistent ( we ate it about half a dozen times) and not work ordering unless you are in the area. We shop at Costco a lot, and order online and pick up on our way home. That was the main reason we ate there. However, they had three strikes: 1. they were closed for business due to renovations, but they were still taking orders online. When I showed up to pick up our order that we already paid for, I found a sign saying gran opening in two weeks. We called after they opened, but they went out of their way to avoid paying us back. Finally we made the same order, and negotiated (it wasn't easy) for them to cancel it against the other one. I avoided the place after that for about 5 months, but wife finally talked me into ordering again. 2. The second strike was that next order. We checked if they were open online, ordered but chose to pay in store this time. I showed up, and they were closed for no reason at all. No sign, no explanation. It was a Monday and the site said they were open. Since we didn't pay, it wasn't a big problem. 3. Wife ordered online around 4:30. I was on my way from work and stopped by to pick up. We choose to order online since it's very hard to understand their questions and get your order right due to their accents and our inability to pronounce names of dishes properly. I walked in, and they just said our order came after 4 and before 6 and they do not make half the things we ordered (not labeled on their site, and the ordering system still lets you buy it). She said I could take biryani since they had that, but no curry before 6pm. They made it look like we were dumb not knowing that curry cannot be bought before 6pm. I walked out without biryani and said never again. They could have called to say that the order was not good (we always leave our phone number), but they just didn't care. They go to great lengths to drive away non-Indian customers, and I'm writing this as a warning to everyone who's not in the club. You cannot park at a parking lot in Alpharetta without being a walking distance from an Indian restaurant so there is no need to stop by this one. Also, while waiting to pick up my food, one can always see them carrying glasses and plates with their fingers inside which is a big no-no in this business.

Seeing all odd reviews, I felt I should write something about this restaurant. Try it now!! This restaurant has recently been taken over by new people and now it is Awesomeeee.. I regularly come here despite reviews just for the biryani. But for the past two months the biryani is the best ever I had in Atlanta. The goat thali, veg thali in week days is the best deal for lunch! For both service and the taste, I would now give a 5 star

Great little find. Food was delicious with just right right out of spice and everything! I normally do not care for lassi but the mango lassi here is super tasty

Arrived in the middle of the afternoon. My first yellow flag was when the host started to pick up menus to hand to us, then quickly put them back down. We got beverages but it took almost 10 minutes for someone to come out and take our order. In the meantime, my companion had gotten up and walked to the front desk to grab some menus. The choices looked good, but we were informed that the only thing available was the biryani. Nothing else. We decided not to leave. Bad choice. The biryani was overly salty and the rice a bit too dry for my liking. The flavor was otherwise OK. Just OK. It took forever to get drink refills. The biggest thing that angered us was that there was a family of people (you might expect to see at a restaurant of this type) that had several different dishes of food on their table. The had just started eating when we came in. They got different dishes, but we could not. Why can't I give zero stars?

i tried their chicken biryani and tandoori chicken. Haven't had such a delicious biryani in a long time tandoori chicken was delicious and tender. The rastaurant is nice and clean.

  • Paula P.

I had a chicken curry and it was very good. The staff is friendly but there aren't many so the service is a bit slow. My biggest problem was with the ambience, I think they lack a cool indian enviroment. The restaurant is white and doesn't look indian. Some decoration would atract much more costumers.

Wasting of money and time ,,, worst food along with worst service don't go there to waste ur money .

  • Leah A.

The food was delicious but WAY too spicy. They did not ask how spicy we wanted it, which is not what I'm used to for Indian cuisine places. Sadly, as a pregnant lady, I can't handle the spice and could not finish my meal. The service sucked! We were there for lunch and although we were seated and ordered quickly, we had to ask twice for a cup of ice and for hubby's coke. I mentioned the spice factor to the man at the counter while checking out; he suggested that next time (there won't be one) make sure to order as 'not spicy'. Had they asked how spicy I wanted it, that would have been my answer.

  • Umashankar K.

the new owner has made sure he bought the biriyani back to the one I had in this joint couple of year back. The 5 star is also for the way they make sure they get the best food out to the customer. I am going back to the place again.

  • Anushree K.

We went here on saturday for lunch.. The place opens at 12 and we went in by 12.05.. They were not ready for customers and it took 20 mins for our order to come even though our order was the first.. Didnt get a clean feeling about the ambience & restrooms.. Silverware came after the food.. Food was spot on.. Generous portions( though a tiny side of raita for a big bowl of biryani ).. Gobi manchurian was nice and crispy.. Overall driving all the way from midtown to this place was not worth it and we would definitey not go here again!!

One of the best places to have biryani in Atlanta. I am a huge hyderabdi biryani fan and I liked it so much that I visited there thrice in two weeks. Else, it is difficult to find authentic hyderabad biryani taste anywhere in the city. Three other things that I liked apart from the biryani were - Chilli Chicken (people tend to order chicken 65 with biryani but I'd recommend to go with chilli chicken - it was really really good) - Malai Kofta - surprisingly, a veg dish was so good in a non-veg serving restaurant. Very rich and creamy. Must try. - Dal Fry Also, they serve chilled thumsup that goes really well with Biryani. Also, if you like, they have very good masala soda and to end it all, they do serve pan :) I'd definitely recommend anyone who likes hyderbadi biryani to visit this place.

This is a tough one. If this was a relationship, the status would be "It's complicated". The spartan interior earns no points. Service at the counter swings from good to poor (never great) depending on the server and possibly the phases of the moon. The food, however, is spot on. The curry dishes are traditional, authentic and done well. Portions are generous. The namesake Biryani dishes are serious plates in the Alpharetta food scene. Order it spicy for the experience, mix the sauce accompaniment into the rice to bring out the flavors. Use the raita to balance the heat. Nirvana! The real dysfunction of this restaurant is that it seems out of place here in the 'burbs. If this was a full service restaurant it would get a lot more stars from the Alpharetta crowd. If it was operating out of the Global Mall food court, or an Indian strip mall it would have more fans. Stuck in the middle with no service, no ambiance, but great food, Paradise Biryani Pointe feels like a weird first date on your first visit, but one where you can eventually settle on being 'just friends'. Go, eat, and don't delete your POF profile yet.

OMG!!.. I have recently moved from CA to Alpharetta.. Thought that in CA, dosa bawarchi is the worst restaurant.. But this paradise biryani point has exceeded in worst.. Yesterday I took chicken biryani, goat curry, garlic naan and double ka meta. Let me start with biryani, it was average and for that matter i won't mind it to call below avg as well.. Price is 12.49 $..for just 9 or 10 $ there are n no of restaurants in US.. Who provide decent biryani with good taste.. Goat curry(better let me call it as water tomato curry).. For 12.99.. The curry is worst ever I ate goat curry.. Double ka meetha wud have been prepared couple of days ago..naans are ok ok..my high mammals

I heard about restaurant and came from my office to eat lunch specially only bryani. But it wasn't even close to bryani.meat was over cooked and dry by sticking bottom of pan while cooking. And in the last I found human hair in my bite and that was a point to leave food there. Young man looks one of the owner type, came to my table and I showed him hair.he asked me to get another plate but did not like to eat anymore there. At counter he said he will give me little bit discount.. And I paid almost $12 my suggestion to them wear hair net and either give no discount or give food free as any other American restaurant will do. That's how you spread word of mouth.keep kitchen clean and cook to follow up all cleaning requirements. Positive thing is waiter brought me extra yougrt sauce at his own.

The samosa chaat is delicious. The ratio of tamarind and mint sauce is an A+ so when you take a bite, you get a nice burst in your mouth. Also the crunchy to soft texture is equally satisfying. Every spoonful created a little party in my mouth! The malai kofta is good and has more of a sweetness to it because of the almond in the gravy sauce. I enjoyed what I had and appreciated that it was not greasy or oily. I also had some vegetable biryani mixed with a curry sauce that my friend got with his chicken biryani. The sauce made the dish and gave it nice heat and a lot of flavor. If I wasn't soo full I would've had more. Portion sizes at Paradise Biryani are HUGE so be prepared to expand your waistline! We split our chaat and malai kofta and even shared among two, the food was a lot. The biryani we took to go and when we opened the containers later I was astounded with how much they gave us, one container easily could serve two to three meals! If you don't like to cook you can go here and get a few meals that will last you through the week! Oh lastly, service was very good, the guy at the register and the guy in the kitchen both checked in on us and seemed to genuinely care about whether or not we were satisfied with everything. Next time I'm in the area, I'd be happy to go back. p.s. I was thrilled to see that they serve Robert Mondavi wine. It's some good stuff! =)

Often visit this place for takeouts. Love the spicy chicken Biryani!!

  • Brian H.

This place is a mixed bag. When you walk in, it's a little shocking... you order at the counter, get your own silverware and drink, and then sit down where you'll be served. The place is pretty clean, but it's all old off-white tiles, and seems run down. The floor is uneven in various places, and a lot of the tables are half booth bench and half chair. It's off-putting to say the least. BUT.... But... the food is ridiculous good. I don't normally eat Indian, so I was extremely skeptical walking in, but after taking my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. Full flavored dishes with good balances of meat and rice. There's a lot of bad reviews for this place, but if you could close your eyes and just eat the food without seeing where you are, I think it'd have much higher reviews. In the end, I really enjoyed it. I was intimidated at first, but I'm glad I gave it a try.

Very good food love chicken 65 and biryani. Gotta try this restaurant. Have to have to

    (5)
  • Lorenzo M.

The worst Indian food I've ever had: super salty super greasy and overly spicy. The worst value as well: I ordered the goat curry and I got hardly any meat at all just 2 pieces of bone with some scrap meat and tendons attached to it, floating in an overly spicy sauce that was full of inedible fibrous "stuff" such as laurel leaves and chili that should have been fished out before serving (all the other Indian places I have been have much smoother sauces ) Yes Indian food is supposed to be spicy But this was a bitter meager portion. My wife had the Green chicken curry and had a similar experience with only dark chicken meat and over the top spicy while the server assured her that It wasn't too bad! Avoid this place

I went in this restaurant. I noticed two things immediately: 1) The restaurant inspector health and safety score is 84% B in an area where even the local McDonalds and Waffle Houses have A ratings of 97% or more. 2) seems very casual like a takeout place with some table service. Decided to eat elsewhere. That B rating from the restaurant inspector is not something I will risk.

Bad bad bad. Instead I'd recommend Punjab. I had heard so much about them, so packed v and non veg biriyani for home a week ago. Worst ever I ate. It was not even cooked in basmati rice. It seemed someone has just mixed left over curry in complimentary rice and popped in couple of chicken pieces. When I spoke with the owner the next day, they said it happens sometimes. We'd barely eat a spoon and trashed it all.

Lunch tali is good. now it comes with Biryani. decent enough place for Biryani in Alpharetta. they take the order in iphone -pretty cool.

  • Nikhil K.

Terrible service : Maybe the server was having a bad day, but no menu's, no silverware & no glasses for water ? After we reminded him about the glasses, he only got 3 (we were a group of 4) So maybe it wasn't his day.. Amazing kofta's. Other vegeterian entrees were good too. Mango lassi - looked bright & colorful, but no mango flavor at all.. Biryani - lamb was very chewy not tender - overall it was o.k. So have to settle on a 3 with this visit.

  • Mark R.

First of all, this is a like a fast food Indian restaurant so don't be surprised when you walk in. You order first at the counter and wait for your food to be delivered. Birayni is too much rice and not enough meat. It just felt like a mountain of rice with meat hiding somewhere in that pile (ordered Mutton Birayni). The meat was cooked and not roasted which I found to be odd. Also ordered Chicken Chetinad and it was just HOT with no real flavoring. My buddy ordered the Chicken Butter without the cilantro and it was probably the best dish they had. Original order was Shish Kebab but their grille was down so could not taste it and the guy gave me more rice when I told him that I didn't want rice. I guess he was confused. Would I return? Nah. I think there are better Indian restaurants in the area.

We checked out this place because we had a scoutmob, and while the food was just okay, the facilities were unacceptable. My husband used to the restroom with my toddler and he came out not even able to use it because there was urine all over the floor and toilet seat. My husband said that an EMPLOYEE had come out right before him (because he was waiting to use the bathroom), and walked into the kitchen.....then he walked in and saw this mess. Like I said, while the food was just okay (not much variety TBH), this was extremely disgusting and I am trying not to think about the kitchen staff handling the food if this is how they treat their facilities. Someone should call the health department. Bleh.

Don't expect a great ambience here. Expect some delicious food! Especially Andhra chicken, Kerala fish curry are awesome. A no nonsense place, totally recommended.

  • Philip A.

Stay away from this place! From the name, I thought this was a place specialized in biriyani, so ordered that.. and it was the worst I had in the recent times. It was very obvious that it was old stock reheated - 'cos the container was hotter than the biriyani, and the rice was dry and hard, and the meat was almost spoilt. The $13 I spent on their biriyani could have been spent on a buffet at Madras chettinad or two tasty fresh biryani's at Cake world. Will never come back again.

    (1)
  • Roy B.

The Biryani is so good here. Will be back. Prices are a little on the high side. That's why no five stars.

  • Francene T.

Don't be taken aback by the configuration - you order/pay when you enter, and yoour food is brought to your table. This isn't a "be escorted to your seat" place, but that doesn't detract from the food. The ambiance is sleek - modern but with a touch of traditional Indian motifs. The paneer was top notch, with the right consistency; the naan was good, and the veg samosas were some of the tastiest I've had. For an entree, I recommend the Bagara Baingan - eggplant with tamarind/spIces/sesame paste. They have a very limited beer/wine selection, but that's not really a drawback. The service was excellent. This was a great first visit, and we'll definitely be back.

The only good thing about the place is the cashier and thats Ottoveo hes a sweetie. Other than that the food was awful. !

  • Urudev I.

We ordered online and had almost all Biryanis (for the entire group). While the taste was good, the spice levels were awful. This was despite selecting 'Regular' when ordering and calling the place to let the manager know that we specifically wanted mild spice if possible, or atleast regular as selected. But the manager informs us that the mixes are pre made but promised he would let the chef know and see what can be done. Back home, served the food, and boy it was a scene straight from the movies. People were running around for water to cool their burning tongues. The spice levels were unbearable and the quantities of raitas were, guess, measured by tea spoons. Some of us managed to eat a little while the rest of the food went straight to trash. Message to the management: South Indian food doesn't always mean tongue numbing and spicy hot. And, when you offer an option during order, make sure you honor them. You have lost our entire group (and the extended group including our colleagues, friends and neighbors) due to this "only one spice level, and that is on the very high side". Judging by the attitude of your manager, it doesn't look like you will be bothered by the loss, but if you do, please train your chef on making milder Biryanis.

I tried boneless chicken biryani and food quality was good but not the best. The dining area was ordinary. Its good try for Biryani and decide as per your taste.

Worst Biryani smells like rotten! Onions in biryani were like rubber. Worst customer service. The manager ( short female at the front desk ) there is so mean. Went twice there for lunch! Planning to never go again.

Really really really bad. Horrible service, worst food.

    (1)
  • Nikhil B.

The chilli paneer had no chinese spices, seemed more like a paneer subzi. The gbhi manchurian was not great either. The mango lassi was good. The biryani was too spicy and the paneer and kofta dishes were normal. The baingan bhagara was diff but good. Liked that they gave 1/2 nan and rice with dishes. Double ka meetha could have been a little more dense as it had too much milk. Zafraan and Luqma are better hyderabdi restaurants than Paradise.

Briyani Paradise !!! Very well organised and great food. I loved Apollo Fish, Niligris Chicken and above all 'Briyani's'. Do try Paradise Briyani, nothing less than perfection, same as in India.

My husband and I decided to try something different for our lunch break yesterday, with me being British and missing having curry we chose to try out this place. It was quite a big mistake. Outside looks good and I asked my husband why the restaurants to either side of it would be so busy and this one wasn't. We figured that not many people eat curry so that was probably that. Walking in we were greeted with the strangest layout for a restaurant, essentially cheap Ikea tables and wipedown tiled walls. We ordered food, from what was a quite sparse menu, but it wasn't exactly cheap. $27 for two chicken tikka's and 2 sodas! Could have had a glass of wine and 2 California rolls at Sushi Nami across the way for $15! We collected our little brown box that was painted with an identifier and picked a table in the corner, near the kitchen. Looking around there were quite a few tables that hadn't been cleaned up from the previous customers and the place just looked a bit rundown. We waited 15-20mins for our food and I was a little disappointed when we received it. The chicken tikka was too spicy, the chicken wasn't good stock, it seemed to be whatever was left of chicken breasts with the fat and some skin left over. Nothing like how a good curry is made. Afterwards my husband and I felt bloated and put it down to maybe overeating, last night I started feeling ill and overnight I was ill. My husband joined that sickness this morning too. I'd wager a bet that it has something to do with the quite unclean kitchen I got glimpses of, the wait staff were covered in food splashes from the kitchen, even the bus girl was filthy and used a dirty cloth to wipe down tables. Safe to say I'm never going back.

Well I heard biryani and I was like wouhouu, this is what I want! Then I got the chocking part of saling alcohol and I totally changed my mind ... Had no clue that pakistanians can give a hand in this, but I get it now !

I don't get why bad reviews about this place. Yes, this place is certainly not the type of restaurant that you can go out with your family or as a couple or on a date. It's just like Wendy's or some place like that. At the counter you Order, pay (tip or not, upto you) and either eat there or take away. You gotta fetch your own glass of water, salt pepper, spoons, etc. But the food is just too good to be missed. It's spicy. I mean SPICY. It can give you troubles if you are not used to the spice level. But the Chicken 65, Mutton biryani, Chicken biryani, Chicken tikka were up to the mark. Really tasty. The salt lassy was too salty. People who have a thirst for spicy food - non vegetarian fare, should at least do a to go from here. Worth your money. Update: Please don't order "Hariyali chicken". It is totally messed up. In short Dead Fowl Dyed Green is it's description for $12. It was really bad.

I ordered the Muton Biryani, mild heat. Oh my, it was good. The meat was tender and the entire dish was very flavorful. My only issue was the fact that part way during my meal I started to break into a sweat and my lips caught on fire. But I couldn't stop eating it. I just drank more soda and shovled the food into my face a bit slower allowing my lips to just simmer instead of the full 5-Alarm. I'll be back and this time I'll remind them I want my dish mild.

    (3)
  • Josh L.

The food here is delicious! The staples like Tikka Masala and chicken 65 are done to perfection and I can't say I've had better elsewhere. The cauliflower app (Gobi Manchurian) completely changed my view on cauliflower -- it was amazing. The namesake dish, the biryani, was great as advertised. The rice is pillowy soft and the tastes of cardamom and clove explode in your mouth. Combine all this with the different varieties of naan and you have an unforgettable Indian meal in the least stuffy atmosphere imaginable!

I think this place is great as does my super picky husband. He is very finicky as far as Indian food goes- whether something is authentic or not. He has deemed this biryani "authentic." My favorite thing here is the fish appetizer- can't remember the name. It's lightly fried pieces of white fish- tilapia? No fishy smell, nicely spiced in a reddish batter and tossed with curry leaves. Super yum. We've tried the mutton and egg biryanis. I love the mutton biryani. Nice flavorful tender pieces of mutton. I ordered mine hot which was a little too spicey for me. My husband gets his mild and I think that's pretty good. We've ordered take out twice and it has been consistently good. It will be our go-to place for biryani. Better than what you can get at any other indian restaurant in the area. As far as quantity- I would say it's enough for one hungry person. Or enough for two people to split if you're getting another dish. I couldn't finish mine myself but my husband cleaned his plate.

The first time I came here, 2 people from my party, including myself both got sick from the food. I promised myself to never return. However, I thought I'd give them another chance and what a joke! They were out of everything with "goat" because it was too early in the morning, they did not have any ice, and the tables were dirty. It was also an icebox because the woman working the front table said she didn't know how to work the heat. What a joke of a "restaurant."

The service was abysmal. They never recovered from a computer snafu that lost my table's order. We literally had to flag them down 3x in 30 minutes to see where our order was when everyone else (who came in after us) had their food. My friend said the Biryani was ok-not very flavorful. The chicken that came w my other friend's Biryani was all bone and even a chicken neck. My tikka masala was ok. Go to Madras Chettinaad instead! Even if service was great - stars would have just been 3.

Checked this place out last night. This is a joint that Alpharetta needed for a long time. Ordered Chicken and Mutton Biryani for take out. Did not know what to expect but the food was good and did not disappoint us at all, in fact it reminded me of the Paradise Biryani back home in Secunderabad. Personally, I would have liked it up a couple more notches in terms of spiciness and expect a little more meat included but overall, it is a nice place serving good hyderabadi food.

Ok ambience. Need a coupla tv's on and running to set the mood. Was an ok crowd for mid week. My wife tried the veg biryani, was not bad. I had the mutton dish, good taste. Will try the mutton biryani next time. All the best to the owners - there are a lot of Indian restaurants around, this one is well situated to get the crowds.

Was in Alpharetta on Sunday and had a hankering for Indian food, but not buffet. Paradise was in line of sight .. looked it up but most Yelpers didn't like it. Hunger pangs compelled me to give it a shot anyway. I wouldn't say the interior was "swanky" - perhaps an Indian translation of Tin Drum cafe setup? It was simple, clean and contemporary. The banquette seating was too wide so while the bench cushion was comfortable, you couldn't lean back. I ordered the Chicken Bryani (extra spicy) which was about $11.00; I thought it was pricey until I got the order. There was a heaping pile of rice with tender chicken (drumstick and thigh), half hard-boiled egg, big slice of red onion, and a side each of curry and cucumber riati (sp?). I had enough to brownbag for a second meal. Service was good, polite. You ordered and paid at the counter, took a number and they delivered the food to your table. Because they made the food fresh, I waited about 10minutes for my bryani ... although it seemed longer as I was starving. The cashier made rounds with all the customers to ensure everyone was happy with their food. For a Sunday, they had pretty good lunch traffic especially being situated in an office complex that had other restaurants. Their customers appeared to be all Indian or Pakistani, including those who dropped by to pick up their orders. I can't say that this was the best Chicken Bryani that I have had, and won't be a must-eat destination for me. However, if I'm in the neighborhood again, it's a great option.

I'm not an expert on Indian cuisine, but what I've had in the past doesn't compare to the food at Paradise. My particular favorite is the mutton. Portions are generous, the price is reasonable and the food is top-notch. Will be eating here again.

The first experience was good, the second was Meh!! But third experience yesterday was not good. We arrived early on a friday evening (6.30) (compared to typical rush hr which is later at night after 8.30) We ordered chicken biryani, andhra chicken and apollo fish. Typically the service takes good 10-15 mins, but this time it was very quick. The fish which is an appetizer was served warm not hot, and it tasted stale, we told the mgr (i think he was the mgr) that it tasted stale, he said he will fix it for us. Both the Chicken and Biryani came in like 2-3 mins and was just warm not hot enough. Similar to the fish it seemed like both these dishes had been prepared a while back and just 'microwaved' for us. The mgr the brought back the fish and it seemed the same...and he then said this had been prepared in the morning and this is hot now. And he left it. They just recoated it with batter, fried it again and brought it. Very very disappointed!!

  • Sarat V.

Just picked up Chicken, Mutton and Egg Biryani. HORRIBLE is putting it mildly. How can any one call this biryani? It's just some flavorless basmati rice with a couple pieces of meat. The "sauce" tastes like it came out of a can. The "raita" is watered down to the point that it is like dish water with a few bits of onion. We went there because of the "Paradise" name (a great restaurant in Hyderabad, India). This place ruins the reputation of that name. We did go to another Paradise Point in Herndon, VA (DC Area) and it was good. I hope this is just a one time thing and hope it improves. I can't believe there are some five star reviews for this place! We are throwing away the "left overs", which there is a lot of. It appears that this is a "franchise" of the Paradise name, but its franchiser can do themselves a favor by auditing their franchisees and training them a bit. Franchisees in other areas take note: this place is ruining your reputation! I know that this is my first review on Yelp, but I had to sign-up just to vent my frustration. Sarat

Given that the place is 3 weeks old, its quite good for quasi fast food, quasi sit down, quasi take out place.. Food is finger licking! Biryani (chicken and veg) were quite good only when asked for spicy.. Went there again to test and taste the food, this time for a take away!! I guess there was a mix up on my spicy vrs nonspicy order.. But the food was still very decent. I guess their service levels have to get normalized for the demand.. No doubt the best biryani place in alpharetta! Very close to Zyka in comparison!

Bleh.

No stars since we were ignored. We were the only non-Indian patrons in the restaurant. We sat down and waited and waited while other Indian patrons that came in after us were served. They never acknowledged we were there, brought water, or even said hello. So if you're not Indian, don't waste your time.

My first impression about this place is not good, the building seems like they are still under construction. Regarding food I'm really upset that it is not even good for one try. I will not go there again....

The Biryani is not that great. The curries are ok. However, their kitchen closes 30 min before the actual closing time. If that was the case, why keep the restaurant open when you cant serve food. Anyone going there should not only ask if they are open but also find out if their kitchen is open.

I had a chicken curry and it was very good. The staff is friendly but there aren't many so the service is a bit slow. My biggest problem was with the ambience, I think they lack a cool indian enviroment. The restaurant is white and doesn't look indian. Some decoration would atract much more costumers.

Had they asked how spicy I wanted it, that would have been my answer.

the new owner has made sure he bought the biriyani back to the one I had in this joint couple of year back. The 5 star is also for the way they make sure they get the best food out to the customer. I am going back to the place again.
