I went on a Monday night when they have a special that is $10 for unlimited bowling, billiards, laser tag, etc. And another $10 for all you can play video games. This is an unbelievable deal that is only available on Monday nights. The place was not crowded at the time and I didn't have to wait for anything. Only downside of my experience was the how small the laser tag arena is. As frustrating as that was, the referee was his own team. You would be looking out for the other team and he would walk by and tag you.

1st time visit today with wife and 3 kids (15, 13, 9). Lots of staff, but as previous reviews stated, they are almost all self absorbed and not helpful. Our server at bowling (Bria P) was the exception. She was awesome. As far as other staff, they don't give clear instructions, not helpful with questions and overall malaise, and there's a lot of them. Pros: kids had a blast. The summer fun pass enabled them to do everything (Bowl, Laser Tag, and high ropes course). Games were extra. Food was fresh and tasty. Portions were ample Cons: games are expensive. $20 on a card goes extremely fast with games ranging from $1-3 each. Food is very expensive. Didn't have any booze, but those were expensive too. Net: I doubt we will return. For the money Top Golf or Stars and Strikes have much better service and experience.

Video games. Bowling. Laser Tag. Pool. Ropes Course. Mediocre Bar and Beer selection. Generic pizza. Great gelato. Redeem your 500 tickets for a $1 coozie for your cold (age-appropriate) beverages. Kinda expensive, but not as crowded as Dave & Buster's. Yet. Yep, pretty much sums it up.

If the rating was up to 10 on how cool this place is I would give it a 50 because I visit here was great and our host Ucal was the best. He took care of us like we were family and you hardly get service to where the customer service is great now. So when u are here ask for Ucal.

Worst Experience Ever!! Came to Main Event in Alpharetta to watch a football game. Service was horrible. When we got there we told the greeters or whomever they were we just wanted to eat and watch the game. We were told to seat ourselves. We did that and waited 20-25 minutes before we SAW a waiter/waitress come in our direction. Then that waitress (who saw us first) told another waitress to help us. She gave us menus and took our drink orders and was then gone for at least another 15 minutes. I finally saw a a manager and told him our waitress disappeared. She came back with our drink and the ice had melted in mine, that's how long she was gone. We came to watch a college football game and had to ask 4 times for the channel to be turned to the game to find out they didn't even have the channel. At that point, I was ready to leave and cancel my food order. There were 1-2 parties going on but it was not very busy at all when we got there, so there was. I excuse for the piss poor service. Only reason I gave 1 star is because two managers and a waitress came up to us to address our concerns. I was shocked when we told that waitress who our original waitress was she responded "Oh hell, I know exactly who that is. I see why you're upset." They're supposed to be team members! I will never return here and have several friends that work in the area. I will discourage them from having after work meetups at this location. Not sure if they were short staffed or what the deal was, but it was my first time at this location and I was extremely disappointed. If you go, no matter the day, time or # of guests, please beware of the horrendous service you will get. Set your expectations accordingly.

1st time here. Took family (wife & 3 kids)...the facilities are very impressive but that's where it ends. The staff was rude and gives "unhelpful" a new meaning. We wanted to start the day bowling ...told the guy behind the counter we were first time guests and wanted to know how it all works (a lot to take in when you first get there) he just says "$30 per hour a lane". So I asked do they have packages or any way to buy several events at one time? "Not really" was the response. I asked about the laser tag and game cards and he said you go "over there to the laser tag place to get that stuff but if you want a card I can do it here". So I asked how much? He said, "you give me $20, I put $20 on a card". This was the best service we got for the rest of the visit. Go to the bowling lane...asked a guy in a blue shirt and headset for a server because we wanted to eat and drink and make a day of it. No server....asked another person in a blue shirt and headset and same response, "we will send him over"... We are 20 minutes in to hour hour game and no server, no drinks....ask two more times...35 minutes in. Kids starving and thirsty. I went to the front to find a manager and was very clear at my displeasure of our experience..."I will send a server" was the response. Finally we get a server with a poor defensive attitude (obviously told we weren't happy) and very clear she wasn't happy to take care of us. Food was very poor (except the ribs and sirloin steak themselves) but everything else was horrible.(see pics) $100 later and a very bad experience and no manager to find. Made clear that the staff here was not interested in creating great experiences. The only reason I give it one star is it is required to leave a post.

Me and the family had a great time here. We came during a special which offered unlimited arcade games for three hours at only 10 dollars. Everyone enjoyed themselves in both the arcade and hour of bowling. This place seems to have promise but only at their discounted prices. Their normal pricing is so over the top outrageous I can only justify coming here when there's a special going on. Outside of that, this place is clean and has a great atmosphere.

This was my first visit to Main Event. While they have a promising selection of arcade games and activities, such as bowling and laser tag, their prices are slightly pricey. The venue was very clean, and it wasn't too crowded. There seemed to be party rooms available for rent also. I'll be back for sure.

Interesting about the negative comments about the food. Who the hell goes to a place like this to eat? Kids love it. Many friends kids love it. It is way better than Dave & Busters for being an adult and kids playground. Yes Stars and Strikes has better value but is not nearly as good. But I would never go here expecting good food. Eat somewhere else and play here. Prices are a legitimate gripe.

I'm frequently in town on business and always stay at the hotel across from Main Event. Last night my husband and I took our 10 year old for a night of fun. To all the bad reviews, I believe you have too high of an expectation for a venue like this. This is not five star dining. It's good "Chili's" type food. And don't tell me the prices are high and then turn around and pay $25 for popcorn and Coke at the movie. The prices are very reasonable. The waitstaff - I had absolutely NO issues, in fact, we were greeted in seconds every time we sat down or walked up to a counter. And everyone had a smile. Maybe your attitude coming in is what puts off servers?? We bowled, we played laser tag, we shot pool, we did the ropes course. We made the most of our money! We came back at noon today to spend the rest of the game card and again, we were greeted right away at a table. It was pretty busy last night (weds) and fairly busy today. We'll definitely be back when we are in town again.

Not going to waste your time with a long winded review: We were ignored until we had to get up and notify a waitress. Twice. We've been seated for an hour and 15, and nary a shred of food is to be seen. From what I can tell, the closer you are to the bar, the faster you're served. Guess who isn't spending a penny on their games and is just leaving? Don't waste your time. It's Tuesday evening and there aren't even that many people here. I will make it a point to discourage people I know from hosting events or eating here. Poor service. Very poor service.

This place is pretty cool. A group of us came here on a Saturday night. First thing we did was go to customer service, because we wanted to bowl. Bowling had a two hour wait, so we decided to roam around. We played a few games and waited for the next laser tag session. It was a bit confusing because you have to go to one kiosk, then another then wait for a time. They give you one of the buzzers most restaurants give you when you're waiting for a table. When it was time for our session, we all lined it and got our gear! Now, once you gear up, your color is randomly chosen so you may be playing with or against your friends. Half of us ended up being red and the other ended up being blue. We had a great time. Afterwards, we went to the bar for a few cheap shots ($3 -to be exact). After some shots, we went to play some games and in mid-play the game shuts off and the lights come on. 2:05a sharp they're kicking you out! So have fun while you can and get there early if you wanna bowl!

I've been twice. Don't go if you're not willing to wait in long lines at the bar and be aggressive to find someone to order food from. The location is beautiful and nice but the place is HORRIBLY understaffed and has bad management. No place this new and crowded should have such bad service. Some of the staff is very nice but most look like they're about to fall asleep and move at a snails pace. One waiter even told us how staff regularly quit and how the managers suck. Not surprising. I'd love the place if they improved the service. I'm being nice with my 3 star review. And to the staff member who keeps replying to all the negative reviews on here asking us to email his boss.....NO. Just fix it! Hire more people and train them better!!

Cool place to go play free pool and bowl. They have deals going all the time so check out the website. Happy hours are During the week until 7p. $4 margaritas and I think $5 long islands. But all in all the place is cool for u and a date or family and kids. All will have something to do here. The food is pretty decent as well! Never had a bad experience here.

Beautiful brand-new facility. Very clean all new modern up-to-date games. Very nice lighting and decor. One thing I noticed is how expensive the games are roughly $1.50 per game and most games last less than two minutes. Things coming along way since I was a kid going to arcades won the game $.25 apiece and I could play for 30 to 40 minutes

Terrible service; ruined the experience. Get better workers, not lifeless leeches in society who strives to make people's day worse. The worker in the restaurant gave us half a cup of gelato, and then acted like she did nothing wrong. Additionally, she forgot to give us our cups of water and our order of chicken tenders only had 3, no honey mustard or slaw, and no fries. Also, she needs to smile more and act more courteous to customers. Overall, the service ruined the whole experience. If you go here, do not eat here unless you want to wait 30 minutes with workers ignoring you. Please get better service, this place has so much potential, but it's impeded by the inept workers and the sluggish service.

  • Justin M.

The place is nice but the bar is a waste of money. You have to be extremely specific with your order or else they will automatically upgrade your drink to a premium alcohol. I know Jack Daniels isn't a call whiskey so it's a surprise to see it on your receipt. It's especially disappointing when the glass was barely filled. The waitress Bria was extremely nice and offered to take it back before even setting the drink down, but I knew it would just be topped off with a little more coke. The bar is making her have to apologize more than she should have to, and she was too sweet to deal with that. She's the only reason this is a two star review. I will be never buying a drink from here again.

Came here with a group of 8 people for lunch to scope out the place for our holiday party. Service was a little slow and the food came out at different times. Seven of us have now finished eating and one person still has not received her meal. She ordered a burger like someone else did so the delay is really unacceptable. I ordered the pizza with no cheese. It came out hot. The sauce had a good flavor and the crust was crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. The person sitting across from me ordered chicken tenders and fries. She said the chicken came out hot but not the fries. On a scale of 1-5 she said it was about a 2.7. I think this place is fairly new so maybe they are still working the bugs out. We had to ask for napkins and utensils and the server never came back to refill anyone's drinks. We had to ask for to go boxes because we had to get back to work. It took them so long to bring the bill after we asked for it that we were joking about just walking out. We won't be holding our company holiday lunch here due to the service and food issues we had. Hopefully this place can make some improvements.

We paid for 12 slices of pizza, and they gave us one pizza (normally 8 slices), but double cut into 16. After yelling at us for 15 minutes, they still refused to give us what we ordered. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKED ESTABLISHMENT!

  • Frank Y.

They need to rethink the set up. Guys at the front sent to us one line only to be told we needed to go to the winners choice and wait in line again for laser tag. Picked a time slot and played some arcade games to kil 30 mins. Arcade games are super expensive. $1.50 for less than a minute of play time. Got to laser tag 5 mins before our appointment and told we had to wait an extra 30 mins. WTF? Why have appointments if no one pays attention to the time? But listen the manager recognized our dissatisfaction and immediately comped my kids with free play cards. It stinks when they give you bad service but they sincerely try and make it up.

I'm echoing most people's sentiments on the food. You're better off eating at nearby Miller's Ale House and then going to Main Event for the games. Service is slow, prices are too high, quality is meh. One person in our party ordered the Mac & Cheese entree and it was a ridiculously small portion...not even enough to constitute a side and this was supposed to be the main entree (1/2 cup at most). She sent it back and ordered something else and of course had to wait FOR-E-VAH. The servers were nice though, no problem there. If you're going to eat here, I'd suggest you stick with the pizza.

I liked this place. I thought it was a great spot for the kids as well as adults. I love the fact that it has a open floor plan and it seemed like their was a lot of space and it wasn't too dark. We came for a birthday party for a family member and everything was super organized. The next time I come back I'm definitely trying the pizza because I heard it's pretty great. This place wasn't too crowded either. I'll be back.

I'm a fan for now because this place is brand spankin' new and clean. It doesn't have that older, dirty feel like a Dave & Buster's (but I still love D&B because I don't want all my tickets to go to waste :X). There are lots of options here: arcade, bowling, billiards, shuffleboard, and the rope course. The rope course looks much safer (and slightly easier) than the one at Andretti Speedlab where one could easily fall off. Not to say you can't fall off this one at Main Event, but to dismount, you don't have to jump off. The arcade games are new and some of them are pretty interesting. Not sure if it's just me, but I can see the arcade being a bit expensive. $25 is plenty to play but it burns out quickly for the games that are over $2 to play. I didn't bowl or play pool, but I did try shuffleboard. There's definitely some improvement needed here. The placement of the tables are so close together that it's not conducive for hanging out with friends because you're right up next to other players hanging out at the next table. There's no signage on where/how to get the pucks, more sand for the table, or even how much it costs. These are all handled by the bartender. So if you're there at a busy time, you can expect it to be difficult to get the bartender's attention. The primary reason it wasn't too fun though was that the bartender didn't know how to get us more sand for the tables. We ended up not playing for long. The bar is decent. I can't say anything about the food there because I'm not there to eat. The good thing is that you can walk around with drinks and no one will stop you. At least, nobody stopped me and my friends. Maybe I missed the signs but is this place 21 and over? I thought it had to be since we could walk around with drinks. Watch out the for the kids running around this place. The thought occurred to me to hold my leg out and see if they would trip. Otherwise, the space is big, open, new, and very family-oriented. Restrooms are in a fairly central place with plenty of seating for adults who are tired of standing. This is a great new addition to the Alpharetta area.

Everything is astronomical in price! The food takes forever to come out and the staff isn't very friendly considering and considering the type of business it is it's disappointing to say the least. I don't recommend the Main Event at all. Save your money.

  • Xavier B.

Good place for children ages 3 and up but was horrible and cold except from that pizza place. They have good drinks. But service is terrible. I personally prefer Dave and Buster.

    (3)
  • Visa E.

The place is great. It has all the amenities for big and small kids. Lol. I think the video game is alil expensive to play certain games, but that's not going to make me write a bad review. I would update the rating once I have tried the food and the laser tag.

    (4)
  • Steve R.

Consistently the worst service ever. We only go because friends want to go. Do not expect to get food or drinks in under 30mins or an hour on most nights. Only thing keeping this pace open is the cheap pool and bowling during the week. I'm seriously not kidding about how bad service is... I had 8 servers walk by look at me with an open menu and keep walking. Not one even so much as asked if I had questions. You may as well just shout "hey, come here" to get anything.

    (1)
  • K H.

While it looks pretty cool, it's still very new and trying to figure itself out. On the one hand, it's an interesting place to bring the family, go on a group date or team build. The service leaves much to be desired as we practically had to beg to pay for our food as opposed to simply walking out. Our server didn't return with our checks, so we asked the front desk. The front desk sent us to the back bar. the back bar told us to go back to the lane and wait. After getting a manager, he got irritated that the front desk sent us back to the bar but finally went to get our check. After everything was said and done, the bill got handled, but it was a huge hassle. I MAY check it out one more time, but all signs are pointing to it being the opposite. It's not a good place for the value, but it's fine if you have an hour or so you want to kill for about $30.

  • Hae Min K.

It took forever to get our place for bowling. The laser tag area was too small.... The food wasn't that great for the price. They didn't have Sprite... wah? The waitress took forever with our orders. I think I saw her twice. We had to hunt down a waitress if we wanted something. Not going back.

I'm not even sure where to start. Tonight was our second night there as a family. My husband, four-year old, six-year old, and me. The first time was okay... We had ordered pizza earlier in the night from the pizza place inside - the order was pretty slow coming out of the oven, but I'm from NYC and sometimes I have high expectations for how fast things should take and am intolerant of anything short of super fast service, so I let it slide. Then, later that night when we were bowling, we ordered an appetizer of fries to all share. Took FOREVER to come out. We were almost done bowling by the time the fires came out... Have you ever bowled with a 4 and 6 year old?... They take FOREVERRRRR on their turns... so when I tell you the order of FRIES... FRIES - the things you dip in a deep fryer and dump on a plate - came out when we were basically done bowling, that should be an indicator of how long it actually took. To sum it up - WAY TOO LONG. That night, we all had horrible stomach pains. I chalked it up to a virus, brushed it off and passed out pepto. WELP... went again tonight. After tackling arcade games, and the ropes course we decided to grab something to eat. Ordered fries, nachos with salsa and queso and a kids pizza. I swear to the heavens above... after an hour, several check-ins with the server AND MANAGER our order FINALLY came out. Really? Two items off the appetizer menu and a small kids pizza took an HOUR? Totally unacceptable. Our server kept apologizing and offered to buy us dessert to make up for it... He was great, his name was John and really he was the only person who seemed to give a rats you-know-what about the situation. Manager was MEH. They have SERIOUS managerial problems/issues to deal with organizing and staffing the place. And to top it all off... We're two hours in after the food debacle and I'm sick to my stomach again, same symptoms as last time. So, clearly, it's this place, not a virus. Needless to say, we're done. The only reason I even gave the place two stars is because the kids had fun playing the arcade games and we had a nice time bowling... but we can get those things lots of other places in the Atlanta area.

PACKED! Great new spot but man were they busy the night we went. I can see this being a great hangout for teenagers. But teenagers should not be running the gift/ticket areas. Chaos!

Great vibe to a familiar setting! I've been to Barcode, Dave and Busters, and a few similar entertainment hubs in the past and this one just fits right in. We ate at Rays then played at the Main Event. Thanks!

  • Shaleah G.

One star, WHY????? Because after you stand in line and purchase whatever activity ie. Laser tag, "Gravity" and then go to the "Winner's choice"desk then you are informed that your wait will be 2 hours or whenever the next space is available. Why couldn't they have told us the wait time before the bands were purchased? Because they operate like a bunch of imbeciles. One department doesn't communicate with the other. What a waste of time!!!

UPDATE: After expressing my concerns I thank the employee that reached out to me to apologize to me for Tiffany's behavior & my concerns were heard all the way at the top by the distric manager Wes. My concerns were acknowledged in a very appropriate manner and very professionally. I am very pleased with the way the management has reviewed my concerns & to me that is worth way more than an apology. It shows professionalism and courtesy. All thanks to the employee that responded to my concern and the DM, we will most definitely be going back :) Thank you Main Event for addressing and handling my concern efficiently!! So my group of 6 were actually going to top golf down the street but since there was a over 2 hour wait we decided to head over to this place. First time here. The night started off nicely. It was packed for sure (Saturday night)- 2 hour+ wait for laser tag and for bowling so we played some arcade games & had a lot of fun. Now where does the problem come in? At the bar area for food..... My friend and his girlfriend waited at the bar to get their drinks for 20+ MINUTES and got ZERO attention. Another gentleman was waiting just to get his order for his drink in for 30 minutes+! RUDE. we weren't acknowledged at all. Now here's where it gets WORSE. We find a booth and cram in and this lady comes over to take our order. African American lady. Her name is TIFFANY. upon placing our order my boyfriend proceeded to NICELY ask- "do you know If it'll be a while for our food to come?" Her response was as follows: "uh yeah obviously.." Ok no need for your attitude Tiffany... She then comes back- and as my boyfriend is SPEAKING to her (nicely) (he was placing our order (since no one took our order at the bar..) Tiffany CUTS HIM OFF and turns to me and starts asking me what I want to drink.... Uh lady you don't cut off your customer and speak above them. Common sense if you want to keep your job. We asked her for another server and she said: "ugh believe me... I definitely tried"... Excuse me?? Manager was highly disappointed in her. As we all were. She was SO rude. I hope she gets fired. Someone who's willing to work hard with a smile deserves the job. Not someone like HER. Anyways we ended the night with another server. Nice man. His name started with a "K" & overall the food was good. We WILL NOT be going back all thanks to TIFFANY.....

Great addition to the Alpharetta area for families. Nice variety of games and very spacious with ample seating. Beware, It is VERY loud! Little disappointed that there were some technical issues with the game cards. You have your choice of games, bowling, billiards, laser tag and rope climbing. Food is mediocre but the kids aren't there to eat. Worth a try!

Don't plan to eat before you game. Waited an hour and a half for food. Should have just walked out.

I have been to this location three times - in fact we drive almost 45 minutes to go here instead of any of the local laser tag facilities. For starters it's an incredible deal - check the specials section of their website and you can often find a deal to do unlimited of a certain activity for a really good price. Also there is a ton to do. Laser tag, arcade, bowling, billiards, rope course, a nice bar (service can be slow if they are busy but just work your way in - most of the time it was push customers and not the bartender's fault.) Laser tag is my favorite; you can SEE the laser blasts which makes for a much more fun experience than the old Q-Zar games I remember from being a kid. We have always gone on Sunday nights and the crowd is usually dwindling by 8-9PM so you can just play game after game. The staff will jump in and play if you don't have enough people. They have remembered us on multiple returns which is a nice feeling. We recently set up a corporate event for a friend's new company and had a blast. Lexus was the associate who helped set it up - thank you! We had a great time and will definitely be back soon.

Finally a full-featured playground for adults! They have laser tag, air-hockey, 3D arcade games, full drinking bar, pool tables, private party rooms, bowling lanes, aerial obstacle course, and of course - a gift shop lol. Awesome place to host fantasy sports draft party or visit for 1/2 price Monday specials on games & laser tag (which is way more badass than your remember it being in 5th grade). It's on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for so I recommend bringing a group and try a bit of everything to unleash your inner child. Good place for parents to bring kids too since most of the activities are for all ages.

The laser tag and skywalk are pretty fun. The food was overpriced and took too long to be served. However, the portions are actually pretty reasonable. The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive.

We tried Main Event again with two couples and four kids. Once again, a laughable event. I encourage any group to try the shuffle board rental process. It's awful. Zero organization and no one knows who is assigned to what table. It's a complete mess. The problem is that they leave the table assignment process up to the bartenders, which makes no sense. They are not incented to make sure things go smoothly with the tables. Chalk it up to another bad experience. Why do I do this to myself?

  • Kirstie S.

I hosted a work event here last night for a group of 16. Overall, we had a great time. We hit all the different activities: laser tag, ropes course, arcade and bowling. We ordered a couple party platters and they served the food right on time. I wasn't too impressed with the food, but to be honest, I didn't have too high of expectations; it's just your typical bar food. I will say my only complaint was at the end of the night, when we were trying to settle up our bill....TOTAL cluster. You'd think this would have been the most important part to them. The guy that was assigned to our party had been MIA most of the night, not once did he come check on us during our party. If I needed something, I had to go find him (at one point he was playing a game in the arcade). We went to the front desk to pay the bill and were directed over to the bar. The bartender then told us that he only had the liquor portion, and our host would need to get the bill for the remainder of our balance. One of the girls behind the bar said she'd page him. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I asked what the deal was and she had this dumbfounded look on her face, like she had no idea what I was talking about. After another 5-10 minute wait, our host came over and we settled up our bill and left. Today I get a call, that they overcharged us and forgot to remove the deposit I paid last month, from the balance last night. I appreciate their honesty, but since deposits are required for party packages, you'd think this would be 2nd nature. Overall, I had a good experience and I'd return.

While the place itself is nice and offers a wide variety of things to do mainly for kids...I went there with 8 couples to eat drink and bowl. The front desk employees were a little slow to understand how to charge us and speaking of charging...34.00 an hour for a lane 3.50 for shoes. If you don't hurry up and bowl your lane is shut down before you can bowl every frame. So that means another 34.00! Give me an old fashion bowl till you completed the game bowling alley any day. We won't be giving our money to this place again!

    (3)

Waiting for laser tag right now. We reserved for 15 people, 10 show up. How many do you charge? Right, 15... Wait, what? Yup, we had to pay for all 15 even though 10 showed up. Lesson? Don't reserve unless you're positive you're number. The rest of the reviewers are right, super loud, hard to hear. Redeeming quality? Our server. Great service. Just heard from one in our group, tonight's service is out of the ordinary. So looks like we lucked out there.

We were excited to try this place and thought it would be a great place to bring our 4 middle school age kids on a cold day. When we arrived at 2:30 we were told that there were no more passes and would need to wait until 4:00. We decided to go ahead and pay and then left to get something to eat and came back at 4:00. The kids were super excited and waited in line for laser tag. When they got to the front, they were told they had to have a pass. We went to the front to ask what that meant. We were told that they had to sign up for the events and the next open spot for laser tag was 5:30, ropes at 5:45, and bowling at 6:00. So essentially we paid about $80 to.do nothing for an hour and a half. Then our "pager" never went off for bowling. When we asked at 6:30...they said we were "next." Another 30 min went by and we went to ask for a refund...the guy told us magically that we could have a lane. When we got to our lane, there were SIX open lanes. Then a server never came by to ask us if we wanted anything...we went to the bar ourselves to order fries. In the end...this place is chaotic, unorganized, and not worth it. Workers were just standing around...doing nothing. I wouldn't waste your time unless you like places that "suck."

So I've been here 3 times now. First time we just did arcade games. Second time was on a Monday with $9.95 all you can play laser tag, bowling and gravity ropes! With tax and shoe rental total came out to just under $15... So worth it considering Mondays are slow! We love Monday madness. Now, the service I would give a 2-3 star. The management of this facility is far behind or the staff just doesn't care. Monday we waited no joke 20 min for our drinks! Our food came our before our drinks... Including water. Mind you Monday at 8 pm is NOT that busy. The group I was are red bull distributors and could not believe the service. That night we needed up just going straight to the bar and ordering buckets of beer so that we didn't have to wait another 20 min for our next drink. I just left main event tonight with my family (Saturday night at 7pm arrival) the lanes were booked and we were told to wait 1.5 hours. We said no big deal seeing that we haven't eaten. We sat in a booth and had a friendly server. However... Our food items came our wrong even after chatting with the server and taking his suggestions. Food is so so.. Like other reviewers don't go for the food go for the entertainment. Our server in the bowling lanes was on point tonight. Very friendly and prompt. I give this place a 3 star because service. I wish the server we had in lane 7 was there our second night. He was great (can't remember his name) Anyway fun place but don't go counting on 4-5 star service.

Love their pizza, inside is airy and comfy. The employees are all day dreaming and no help. Can be a big headache when you stop by on a busy night.

Are you gonna compare this place to Dave and Busters? Of course you are! In comparison D&B is better. I think Main Event is still going through some "growing pains". This place is gigantic. It's also very loud due to videos playing on the gigantic tvs and also all the arcade games. If you don't like loud noises, then just don't come. Lot of good size pool tables. Bowling area to me was the most impressive. My hubby and I were just there to eat but we wanted to "tour" the place a little. The lanes have their own servers and seem to be well staffed. I cannot say that about the eating area near the bar. That's where this place lost a star. They have a hostess station but no hostess yet they have a greeter at the door. .Weird. You seat yourself with the hopes that someone on the waitstaff will see you. The menu is ok-good. We had the sliders which reminded me a little of White Castle in Chicago but not the steamy goodness of their sliders. Fries were good and coleslaw as not overly creamy which is how I like it. Hubby thought his drink was a little too fruity. My white wine was good but not great. We ended up getting a 10 inch pizza where we were allowed to custom design our pizza with their toppings.. Crust seemed like it was from Boboli. It was ok. I think you are better off ordering appetizers. Our server and others seem to have gotten lost. It appears they are not familiar yet with how the tables are set up. They were apologetic. Like I said still going through growing pains. There is an area set up for private parties. The tables were decorated with black table cloths. The air was not on so it was a little humid in there but we just wanted to peek. There is another semi private area near the laser tag game entrance. That is probably for kids and teens who want to have a birthday party there. No table clothes but nice enough. Their pizza café is semi closed off. You can still hear all the TV's but just a little less. Not many people in the café. They also offer gelato in there. Here's a free idea main event, offer coffee and maybe some other upscale desserts and really make it a café instead of a Pizza café. Just a thought. Overall a good place if you want to have indoor family time where the kids will not want to text all night. Parents if you wanted to chaperone a date, this is a good place. Your kids cannot be too out of sight and I am sure laser tag is well supervised to reduce any and all chances of super make out sessions! They do have "floor" games where little ones can use their feet to play soccer or a piano. You might see big kids doing the same thing. I could not recommend this place to watch a playoff game or super bowl. Too many noises from the other electronics in the area. I also would not recommend for a first date unless both of you are into video games or pool. I am sure this place will make improvements as it "ages". Hopefully they will implement so quick changes in their menu options and by having a hostess at the hostess station. You built it so why not use it?

Not impressed with laser tag. I went yesterday with my kids for the 8 PM laser tag. They had some technical, issues, and it took them just over 15 minutes for the system to be fixed so we could play. Once we started playing, the game only lasted for 10 minutes. The cost was $8 per person. Although the game was fun, other laser tag places in the area have 15 minute games, at minimum. 10 minutes is too short. Their games should also be more reliable.

My guest and I arrived at your establishment in Alpharetta, Ga at 2 PM in hopes to take advantage of your FUNpass. Although we called in advance to ensure we can take advantage of this offer, my guest and I were quickly notified that it would be better if we brought your 4 to close FUNpasses rather than your 9 AM to 4 PM. We agreed and asked the cashier to purchase the 4 to close FUNpasses at which he responded that we would have to wait two hours. My brother asked to speak to a manager at which he confirmed that we would have to wait until 4 PM. While waiting for 45 minutes another group of ten people arrived requesting the same passes at which the manager reached out to another individual and agreed to sell them the 4 to close FUNpasses. When I approach the superior manager about the situation he insisted that he was doing us a favor. In this situation my guest and I tried to respect your establishments rules and regulations but our attempts, time, and money was disrespected. If you have rules set in place they are expected to be followed by everyone. There were no extra steps taken to ensure that we were unable to buy the FUNpasses as soon as we arrived; even though we were informed ahead of time that we could. There were no apologizes given to me or my guest for the time wasted and the unfair treatment. After being shown an huge disdain by your staff, I called your corporate offices at which they connected me to the regional manager whom did not apologize but instead have excuses for establishments poor behavior. He stated, "if the establishment is busy they usually do not allow the 4 to close FUNpasses to be sold, and it is up the manager of the establishment." When I informed him that the place of business was totally empty, and staff members were not at their stations to assist customers; he insisted that he would get in contact with the general manger. The regional manager did not offer a follow up with me or any type of solution the genuine discourtesy that my guest and I felt. I will NEVER come back to your establishment again. Hopefully you guy will learn how to treat your guest fairly. The main goal when working in entertainment is to encourage a great experience for your guest. How do you guys expect to pursue that goal when your staff has no appreciation for the consumers dollar?

The place is fine but way too expensive. I took my kids to this place and they were not that thrilled. Food is very expensive as well. $4 for a small size of pizza. I will not go there again. I can go to other places and have lot more fun. I was there to just check it out. I will take the kids to chuck-e-cheese. They enjoy there more. If they don't keep their price down you can see people are dropping off.

Horrible service!!!! We waited 28 minutes for a waitress while watching 3 of them stand and chat away. Unlimited game play is a rip off we were told it is for all games when in fact it's for a limited few, and they wouldn't transfer money to a regular game card! Waste of 50.00! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The place was brand new, looked great when we first walked in. We had 8 people in our group, and were told the waiting line for bowling would be aprox 1 hr. We waited close to 3 before we got tired and went to ask why the wait was so long. It turns out our buzzer wasnt working so they had moved on to other groups. We were sitting in plain site of the employees the whole time!!! Overall the service was crappy. I rarely say that about a place because I know things can happen depending on the circumstances, but THIS PLACE WAS FULLLL OF DISAPPOINTMENT AFTER DISAPPOINTMENT. We paid the unlimited for one hour of bowling. The service definitely did not encourage further play. The way the handled our issue was very careless. The waitress showed up on 30 min intervals. The manager could have cared less. The food was less than mediocre. I took my group out for our final year event and I was very sorry I mentioned this place.

My husband wanted to have his birthday celebration here so I called on Friday and reserved 3 lanes for 16 people (all in there late 20s.) I was asked to pay 50% upfront because the total was going to be over $250. Ok fine. Overall, I'd never recommend setting up a party through them on the weekend. Everyone one I talked to was not very helpful and just seemed stressed. (Yes it was crowded, but it's a Saturday afternoon. Main Event staff should have been more prepared.). Getting the lanes was a hassle. The staff wasn't very helpful or organized when letting me know how to handle my guest. Where to get shoes? What lanes we where? Etc. A server didn't come to us for about 15 minutes. We finally had to flag someone down. And he/the bar was very slow. (That server could have made a lot more money had he not been stretched thin.) The lanes shut off for about 5-10 minutes during the middle out our contracted time. When I asked the lady on Friday about adding on laser tag the day of she NEVER mentioned there might be a 2.5 hour wait!! Had I known that would have been the case I would have reserved laser tag when I made the contract. So bowling was over and I still owed 50% of my contract. No one ever came to ask me for my money so I went and tried to figure out how to settle up. It took me talking to about 4 people and about 20-30 minutes to settle up the bill. Let's just say I left stressed and unimpressed by everyone working there.

Awesome place. Way bigger than stars and strikes. They have pool tables and a big Lazer tag. Lots of staff always willing to help. The location is a lot nicer than stars and strikes as well.

I am writing this review in hopes that it finds it's way to senior management because this place has tremendous potential but from my first experience it is on it's way to becoming a complete let down. We visited on Sunday after 4:00 which was Happy Hour which meant the pool tables were free, which is still more than what they are worth. All of the sticks had broken white plastic pieces at the top and many were completely missing the tips. The table tops were very worn and one had a huge rip in it. I asked how much the tables were during non-Happy Hour and was told $8 per half hour - um....no thank you. We did stick around to play a game and wanted to order a couple of drinks and an app. We stood by our pool table with menus in hand obviously interested in ordering and we watched waitstaff and management just hanging around talking to each other. I had to break up one of their gatherings to ask how to get service. Later we played some video games - some good ones there. I went to the restroom and it was a disaster. Paper everywhere except on the toilet paper rolls, which were completely empty. It was not that busy that day or especially during that time for the bathroom to be in such disarray. The food was good. Once we got service, the service was good. The games were good. The place is spacious. As I said, there is a lot of potential here but it seems to lack proper management.

Great place, all of the arcade games, bowling, and laser tag are very fun however service is lacking. The servers seem very unmotivated and act like they don't want to serve you, when me and a group of friends went out on monday night the service was aweful. We waited at a table for 46 minutes before someone finally greeted us. We then ordered drinks and some food which took about 30 minutes to arrive. Then we were forced to hunt someone down everytime we needed to buy more drinks and get our check. Not to mention how rude and vulgar some of the servers were when describing the food. The service at the front and for attractions was fantastic though, also the man running the laser tag and the bartender at the end of the night were very friendly and polite.

Just purchased wrist bands for laser tag at the front. From there you must got to winners choice to sign in for your events. After the fact they tell me it's going to be an hour and twenty minutes for my time slot. I am very disappointed.

As a mom of two active kids, 8 and 11, I have committed a lot of time, money, and energy on family friendly entertainment. From bouncey places to "yucky cheese", bowling ally's, mini golf, etc. The Main Event is truly Family Friendly. Highlight #1. It is CLEAN. Like Disney world clean. Yay! #2 food is decent, adult drinks are tasty. #3 Laser tag. Love laser tag. So much fun. Great facility. #4 great mix of arcade games and EASY and efficient prize redemption. Got that last part parents? The tickets go on game card. Prize people are NICE, set up is as quick and easy as it can be. #5 bowling. Clean and bowling. #6 very spacious. You don't have to hover over kids, you can see them! Great $5 deals sun- Thursday!

There is no real reason to go here unless it's just closer or easier for you to get to. Everything they offer is available somewhere else and at a better value. Where to start.... The food - Typical bar food menu that's not really executed well. They do the minimum to have food available in an entertainment complex. I say eat before you get there! Dave and Buster's isn't winning any awards for their food, but they are leaps and bounds above this place. The arcade was decent, but not a good value. The games were expensive and didn't pay off well. Kids do better at Chuck e cheese, adults do better at D&B. They offer billiards, but only have 6 tables close together between the restaurant seating and the bar. The Connely tables are average. No Simonis cloth, for those who care. The bowling and laser tag are what you would expect. Overall this place seems like a good idea, but the value and the experience just isn't there. No matter what you are looking, there are better options. D&B, Stars and Strikes, Chuck e cheese, or the Brunswick zone are better options with better food.

What a cool place! Better than Dave n Busters because it's closer! Machines are all new. The Mrs. And I just played video games and walked around. Bowling looked cool. I agree it's a little pricey so I'd be looking for specials next time. Bar area was big and had plenty of pool tables. No clue about the food. Still had fun for an hour with my girl for $25. Haters gonna hate.

My family and I went to Main Event this afternoon about 3:00 on a Saturday. It wasn't very busy. It was the perfect time to go. Not a lot of people around. The prices are not bad at all. Just about the same as Dave and Busters. It was really fun. We had a blast. We didn't get to eat there or bowl but we will be going back real soon. Great for kids great for adults. Just an all around fun time. I must do in Alpharetta.

So, we came with a small group and we're excited to have a fun Saturday night out. First off the girls at the front had no answers to any of our questions such as "do you have dart boards?". We were bowling and had to find a new ball after each turn because it got taken away each time. Also every bathroom stall wasn't flushed because the toilets don't work. I'm disappointed in every aspect and will never be back.

DYSFUNCTIONAL! None of the employees are on the same page. The fact they have you sign up for each attraction at different locations is completely absurd. You've got to go from point A to point B to point C, just to make a purchase that you're getting to end up waiting hours for anyway. The waitress at the bowling alley told us there were open lanes (that we could clearly see unoccupied) but directed us to sign up at the front counter. The girl at the front counter then explained there was a two hour wait. When asked about the laser tag, she simply pointed us in the direction of another counter. We finally decided to sit and eat before we started playing. We had to grab the waitress from the bowling alley, just to get service. Our food came out before the bartender was anywhere near done with our drinks. Main Event needs to get it together. Make sure your employees are on one accord. Put all of your attraction sign-ups in one central location. It caused unnecessary stress amongst a group of ADULTS just trying to enjoy their night.

Our group had a 4 hour group/team building event that was scheduled there on Saturday 8-23-14. We arrived at 11:00 but waited for the rest of team members, so we got in line at 11:30 am and made reservations for the bowling lanes and laser tag. We played laser tag first as our lanes were not going to be available for another 20 minutes. We played laser tag at 12:15 and after that we sat on the couches outside of the laser tag until 2:30. We never got to bowl. Some how forgot to mention to us that they had 27 birthday parties booked that day, but failed to tell our coordinator when she called earlier the week before, and while we were paying out money at the desk. It was very disorganized. We were disappointed, as some members of our group had driven over an hour just to get there. We were refunded our money, but I think excellent customer service would have offered lunch coupons or rescheduled a day for us to come back. It is a beautiful clean facility, but the staff needs more training.

We visited Labor Day 2014 to take a break from the sun. I was excited to try a place closer to Cumming then Dave & busters. We paid $14.95 for a special pass which was a good value considering each attraction separately is $6.00 not including bowling. The games are crazy expensive. Averaging $1.75 per game my girls were disappointed when they only earned 4 tickets which go directly on the card so they don't get the excitement of pulling the tickets outs. The lowest denomination they list is $25. It seemed like all of the employees were super young and acted like they didn't want to be there. I probably wouldn't go back. You get the same thing cheaper at stars and strikes.

Came here with my wife and kids and some friends. This place is way to loud. Kids yelling and between the video games and music, we could not here each other. They need ti take out the wood floors and lower the music. Forget coming here during football season. The prices are nothing to rave about. Bowling for around $34 for an hour plus show rental is crazy. There are plenty if more affordable places to go in the area.

We visited this location shortly after it's grand opening and had a horrible experience. We did speak to a manager the first time and were given play cards for another visit, which we appreciated. We decided to give the place another shot hoping that the kinks had been worked out but were extremely disappointed that the exact same issues occurred again except this time the manager was rude and unaccommodating. As with our first visit, we were unable to play billiards since it was a busy night and there is no limit to the table nor a good system for waiting. (We were there for at least 3 hours and 3rd on the list but never notified of an open table.) The dining service is the absolute worst experiences I have ever had a restaurant. Again, exactly like our first experience. The wait staff was lacking and obviously understaffed. We waited unacceptable amounts of time for drink orders and to receive food. Everything we asked for (refills, condiments) had to be requested more than once. My father-in-law ordered ribs and they were burned. The manager was standing close to our table obviously socializing with another group. We got his attention and he quickly looked down and avoided us. We actually thought we were mistaken and he was a part of the group and not a manager however, when we asked for a manager our original thought was confirmed. We pointed out the ribs and our dissatisfaction. His response was, "so what do you want? another rack of ribs?" He never apologized nor replace the burned food. He did take it off of the bill but that is of little consolation. The game selection and abundance of games is the only positive. It is a great disappointment because it definitely has potential but is obviously lacking management to insure that patrons have enjoyable experience.

Let me begin with saying if I could give less than 1 star I would. This was the worst service and customer service I have ever experienced. We arrived and sat down, it was extremely quiet. Lots of staff just standing around. A waiter finally approached and barely even introduced himself. I ask about happy hour and he didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about. My girlfriend and I proceeded to order two margaritas and our table ordered two appetizers. After about twenty minutes I asked how long until our appetizers would be ready. The waiter stared at me with a blank stare and rudely stated I don't know maybe maybe two minutes and walked off. After about ten more minutes our appetizers and entrees came out at the same time. Obviously we were not going to eat the appetizers. We asked our waiter about this and again he proceeded to ignore our questions. We asked to speak with the manager and assumed things would improve. To my surprise it only got worse. Although the he compensated us with free game cards, the check came out wrong. When I asked about the price of the drinks for happy hour, he questioned me and pretty much said I was wrong. After a few words back a forth he proceeded to find the manager again. The manager fixed the checks and we were done eating. Even after this we decided to stay and bowl because that is what we had planned to do. The service proceeded to get worse. It was like we were invisible and not once, during our 3 games of bowling didn't any of the wait staff approach us to see if we needed anything. There was at least three waiters in the bowling area. One of which was approaching every other lane but ours. After our games were over we handed back the free game cards and told the manager we would never be coming back to this establishment. Again, this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Food average at best. Typical bar food . Extremely heavy on the pepper on everything from fries to chips. Service slow beyond compare. It tolk over 2 hours for our party to get appetizers and drinks. Refills , don't even think about it. Not an option. Bathrooms where filthy. Stalls backed up, no toilet paper, water all over floor. I realize this place is new but you expect better than this. I would not recommend this to anyone.

My family and I went here on the 5th of July. Not impressed. Now granted, this place opened recently and clearly are experiencing some "growing pains", so you cut them a slight break for this. That being said it is still not a place that should fully be considered a must do type of entertainment destination in its current form. We found their pricing plans somewhat misleading and the games themselves were to put it simply, rigged. Sure, we all know these types of places always favor "the house" but when your games don't keep accurate count if win totals that is a problem. The meal there was also less than memorable with one of the dishes coming out ice cold. Maybe in a few weeks they will have it together but it may take us a long time to come back and see their progress. With Andretti's, Whirlyball, bowling and other options nearby, think hard how you spend your well earned money and time!
