I've been to this location twice. And i do plan on coming back often. It does get very busy around lunch time. so plan accordingly or call ahead. The food is great and the price is just right! I've had the chicken gyro, which is very filling and delicious. i've also had the chicken kabob which is similar but it comes with a side salad and fries. the place is located in a strip plaza next to taco mac. you definitely get a greek vibe from the decor and aroma.

Food was really good. A gyro plate is just under $10 but the portion size was awesome. Plus, they were very friendly and accommodated substitutions of sides. I will go back.

Gyro brothers does a better than average gyro. I was a little disappointed in the gyro plate I got as it really didn't have much meat, no tomatoes or lettuce. Other reviews talked about large portions but I did not experience this. Could have been an off day. The fries are great. I'll be back.

Deep fried spanakopita? Yuk, I ordered the vegetarian plate all of it except the pita bread was inedible. Literally ate a bite of the spanakopita and 1/2 a falafel. The place also smells like the deep fat fryer. I'll be skipping this place.

Had absolutely nothing to complain about here. The gyro was a decent size and came out hot with fresh toppings. They didn't scrimp on the tzatziki sauce either! The fries were awesome! They were fresh and handcut, not just frozen and poured into the fryer from the bag. If there was only 1 inconvenience about going it was just that Gyro Bros did not serve Coke products but I won't hold that agaisnt them. Can't wait to go back!

They make a good gyro here and at a very reasonable price. The fries are also very tasty as well. I would also recommend the balaclava to top things off. If you don't want ketchup with your fries they also have a homemade garlic pepper sauce (very much like sambal oelek or the Asian chili paste you would find in the grocery store, but better). Very friendly proprietor here too!

Great lamb gyros and fries! I'm from out of state and read the other feedback and decided to try it out...well worth it and will definitely visit again on my next trip.

Been here several times and I love their Gyro Platter. They give a lot of real gyro meat, with good Greek Fries and Greek Salad. The tzatziki is also very good here...if you are looking for Gyro, I highly recommend... So...why just three stars...well...Wifey went with me and she likes kabobs...well, these were, to be nice, not very good. I don't know if they were having an off day or what...but my Gyro was still great...and her kabobs...well, bordered on inedible. She actually ate part of my gyro (and she is NOT a lamb fan!). So...I have to downgrade them! Service? It is counter service...so, you order and then they bring it out to you...always friendly and helpful.

Love this place! Good food. Fresh toppings - great portions. Usually for under 6 dollars! Now for a fresh made lunch that's not bad. Most importantly though is the people are SO FRIENDLY :) very pleased. Always one of my favs in the armpit of windward and route 9

I stopped by for lunch today. I hadn't even heard of the place, but went on a co-worker's recommendation. I had the gyro combo, which was exactly what you'd expect, but seemed to be a bit bigger and more filling than other places. It tasted great - not disappointed at all. I had the fries (typical frozen then deep fried fries...they were fine for what they were) and sweet tea. I LOVE super-sweet tea...and this one didn't disappoint! It was very sweet tea. The price, including tip, came out to be $10. Not too bad for a great tasting, filling lunch. The service was great - very friendly and fast. I'll return the next time I need a gyro fix!

We decided to give this gyro shop a try today and it was a nice experience. It's located in the Taco Mac shopping center next to Windward Pkwy. For the money you do get large portion size. The gyros are much bigger than the ones at the gyro shop close to our office. Most everything is under $8. The stuffed eggplant is a nice dish with diced zucchini, red sauce, and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. It is Greek fast food so you shouldn't expect a lot from it, but they do have some menu items beyond wraps which does make it a little different than just a sandwich shop.

I definitely recommend Gyro King! The quality is good, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. A good value for sure. We like to order our food to go since this is more of a counter-order type dining. Their parent restaurant is Taverna Plaka and the same quality is carried out here in this Alpharetta location. I can see myself going back a lot to get my gyro and tzatziki fix!

WOW! Great Gyro place! To start the portion size is great, and the price is great compared to the portion size. The fries are great, I think fresh cut from potates in house, reminds me of Varsity fries, which I love. If you like a gyro this is a must try. I will be back to try something else, but sometimes if a place has a great gyro it's too hard to even think about something else. Am I right? Normally I try something different every time I visit a place, but when it comes to a good gyro, I just stick with it, and the only thing to change is the appetizer or side item.

Five Guys is only local competitor whose fries hold a candle to this place. I know people that like Papoulis a ton but to me Gyro King's gyros are the best around. There's something a little odd with their teas here though... Only reason I'm not 5-starring them.

I read tons of reviews for this place and getting 4 out of 5 is really good for yelp. I'm giving 2 with no hesitation and here's why. Falafel was like a hockey puck and it tasted like no other falafel I've ever had before. It broke apart like a clif bar that's been dried out by the sun for a week. French fries are homemade and delicious like other reviews have stated. I ordered the Sriracha ranch chicken gyro. Chicken was hand battered and was very good. The ranch sauce was off its game a bit. It tasted like miracle whip only and a little heat after. So the whole gyro ended up tasting like miracle whip and killed the chicken. I will try this place again (not for a while) but the house of hummus near north point killed this place and there falafel was the best I've ever had in my life no question.

Ricky drove all the way from suwanee where he works one day just to have lunch with me (I work in alpharetta). We decided to try this place because it was not too far from my office (I have a shorter lunch break than him- boo!). Parking is better in the back. When you go in, the two brothers are very sweet and make you feel right at home. The interior is very clean and pretty mural and pictures of Greece. It reminded me of the family trip I took not too long ago there. As for the food it is fast, big (maybe not to a guy but big portion to me!), and delicious. The brothers come by to check on you and make sure you are okay. Loved my experience here and will be back!

We randomly drove past this restaurant and were deciding between Jimmy Johns or Gyro Bros. Why not try something new? We tried Gyro Bros and were pleasantly surprised at the pricing and quality of their menu items! I ordered a falafel sandwich which cost $5.49. I had no idea what to expect! It was fantastic! I even asked for tzatziki sauce instead of tahini sauce and it was no problem. The tzatziki sauce was delicious! This restaurant has been open for over 7 years. There weren't many people in there at the time we went on a Tuesday at 7:30pm but they said lunch time is booming with business. We ordered at the front counter and the food was brought to our table. There's plenty of space for a large party put some tables together. They have gyros as sandwiches and plates. Many options to choose from! Definitely check it out!

This place is pretty darn good! It's a small place next to Jimmy Johns. We wanted to try something different instead of a typical sandwich. The pricing and quality is great! The prices are pretty low and the gyros are great. We ordered at the front counter and the food was brought to our table. The menu has plenty of options to choose from. I've tried the Philly Chicken Gyro and the regular Chicken Gyro. By far, the Chicken Gyro is amazing. Plenty of chicken, you can add as much tzatziki sauce as you want (if thats what you like). I have not been disappointed and have come back several times. I definitely recommend it!

I love Gyro Bros and eat there often. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is sometimes their tea tastes a bit off. In the South, I'm very use to the tea being made fresh daily - it does not taste that way at all. However, please note every thing else is very fresh and the restaurant is clean.

I got a decent size take out order here last night, and I have noticed, they are always consistent. We ended up getting 8 lamb gyros and some calamari. The gyros are always stuffed to the brim (with meat thankfully and not filler), and the bread is thick, warm and seasoned as well. I always get fries, they arent bad, I just wish they give more ketchup (you get 3 packets for like 30 wedges). With togo orders, I always get more tsaziki than needed. Decent cheap meal. Now, you are wondering, why 3 stars? Fellow Yelpers, I am not even kidding, right after dinner I got on my email and on the AOL homepage (where they always have news bits), the first article (how appropriate) was "Know Before You Go: Restaurant Inspection Scores". Silly me, I was intrigued, so I clicked this link: roswell.patch.com/articl… Much to my dismay, not only Gyro King was on the list, but they got a 55 (click on the link if you don't believe me!)!!!! I literally prayed the rosary all night after that. As of now, I am still alive, but wow... I hate to do it, but it is public information!!! I am hoping though they got their stuff pulled together because I do enjoy eating there a few times a year.

Excellent gyros! One of my favorite lunch time stops. Reminds me of Chicago. Just order it with out lettuce. Can get busy and crowded. Small place

Love gyro king I always get the chix fingers & fries or the chix gyro. Both are good the fries are seasoned perfectly as well as the chix fingers. If your in the area try'em out!

Good gyro's and Greek salad. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Maybe a little pricy for a quick lunch but my stomach didn't complain!!!! :-)

Good gyro. Enough meat and had extra sauce. Fries were good. Service was...welll...taking the order was a chore, person didn't understand us and had a hard time working the cash register(that person left right after we ordered). Took a little while to get our order, and we were the only ones there. Once we did get it, the folks working were more than accomodating and friendly.

One of my favorite lunch spots when craving gyros. Went there again today and never disappoints. Portion size is huge. Decent price for combo which is $7.48. I love their fries. Don't bother with other crappy gyro joints around alpharetta. Gyro King is the place to go. Came back and the place's name was changed to Gyro Bros. The usual lady that I used to see was changed to some dude. The dude was very friendly and attentive. Really good service. Layout and the menu was pretty much the same. Gyro was on the money as always. $8 even with tax for the Gyro combo that includes fries and drinks. Fries were really good. My coworkers and I left satisfied and will come back again.

Did I just give Gyro King 4 stars? You bet! After a long day at work my husband decided we shouldn't cook so we opted to try the new place in town. I got the chicken gyro minus the pita with Greek fries. Wanna know how much that cost me? 5.99 plus tax! They gave me so much food I thought I was going to pop. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the veggies on top were very fresh and the fries, oh the fries, they are delicious. I was really expecting to be disappointed and I was pleasantly suprised. Don't let me forget the Greek sauce/ yogurt dip. It is awesome and they will happily give you more if you ask. I went again yesterday, just two days after my first visit. Get in my belly! Also, they are owned by the infamous Taverna Plaka so you know they are legit. They do serve a pretty wide selection of bottled beers as well. The only thing I was disappointed with was the limited menu but I can understand that with a kitchen that small the variety has to end somewhere.

I'm wavering just a tiny bit toward 2 stars because some of the dishes were disappointing. But the staff was friendly, the place was clean and inviting, they have WiFi, and some items were decent. I had the gyro plate and the lamb was tender, the fries were tasty (but not crisp), and the pita was soft and fresh. The tzatziki sauce was okay, but nothing exciting. The Greek salad was flavorful but they are stingy with the feta and they use a vinaigrette that gives is a brown cast (Balsamic, I think) which initially makes you think the lettuce had gone bad. The two items I really did not like were the spanakopita and dolmades. The spanakopita was deep fried which destroyed the delicate texture of the filo, brought out the bitterness of the spinach, and was an oily lump of grossness. The dolmades contained no visible lamb and the rice was a goopy bland mass. My daughter really loved her chicken gyro, my son loved his gyro, and we all enjoyed the hummus appetizer. So in the end, there was enough good food to make a lunch and we just skipped the bletchy bits.

The food is good, but staff is so so. Last time we were there the cook kept swearing loudly at the girl at the register.

Delicious! They use shaved meat in the gyro which I really appreciate. And they put a lot meat in the gyro. The money really worth it!

Wow! I just tried this place today and first of all everyone is really friendly and helpful in recommending food and different sauces. That's what struck me first. Second the food is tasty. I don't eat greek-style food a lot, so I'm not speaking as an expert but I definitely liked it a lot. The gyro was packed and the vegetables were fresh. I was also pleasantly surprised at the price, it was only 5 and change. I'll definitely come here again when I want something out of my usual for a great break-from-work price!

  • Trip B.

Terrible. Probably the worst gyro I've ever had. The meat tasted like cardboard and I'm pretty sure it was reheated in the microwave. Salad was drenched in brown Greek vinegarette. Hamburger was huge and overloaded with some spices, my kid hated it. French fries were very greasy. Plenty of better choices for Gyros in the area. Don't waste your time and money.

    (1)
  • Melissa M.

Best gyro I've had in a really long time. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the tzatziki sauce was fresh and tangy, and the pita was pillowy soft and delightfully chewy. Fries were tasty, too. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back- I can't wait to try the falafel!

    (5)
  • Jeremy R.

My wife and I tried this place and didn't even finish our lunch because it tasted so bad. We both ordered the Falafel plate. The falafel was flavorless and undercooked. The lettuce in the salad was wilted so I didn't taste it. The sweet tea wasn't much sweeter than the unsweetened. The fries were okay. We'll skip this place the next time we're in the area.

  • Marcus O.

i always stick with the lamb gyro. it's the best i've ever had. i have sent numerous others here, and they love it. the gyro is loaded to the point that it's difficult to eat. :) if you want to try a twist on your gyro, ask for a little hummus spread on the inside. happy this place opened because i'm a fan of the mothership restaurant, taverna plaka. if you're looking for a gyro or other simplistic greek plates, try it.

  • Danny C.

Wow, best gyro ever made! Cheaper than anything around, certainly better! Super tzaziki sauce and surprisingly the best burgers and chicken tenders (give it a shot). I go there at least twice a week. Service is on key as well! Restaurant is always spotless and the cashier, who I believe is the owners wife is always extremely friendly, even remembers to ask about my kids! Family run, always a good choice. I recommend trying everything! They are opening more locations around Atlanta, making it even more convenient to get your Greek fix on.

This place serves the best gyro that I have had in a very long time. Everything is perfect and I always get mine with extra tsaziki. A wonderful meal and more than I can eat in one sitting for not much money. Loves it!

Great lamb gyro, delicious falafel, and pitas are fresh and soft. Falafel combo with fries and drink for $7.49 is a good value for the portion. I'm so excited that we can get falafels in windward. Decor is very casual and clean. Like the kiktchy painting of Santorini. Like the NY lady working the counter. Adding this to the weekend lunch rotation!

Went the week the opened and had a chicken gyro, just chunks of chicken with no flavor and bad fries

  • Nancy K.

Decided to head here for lunch today since my daughter loves Gyro's. The price was great for the amount you got. She loved her Gyro wrap and I thought it was a bit too salty. I am not a huge salt fan and just felt there was too much in the meat. The tzaztiki sauce was really tasty though as it had a good amount of dill in it. I love dill!

  • Julie B.

Quick lunch spot. Parking: The front gets crowded, but there is plenty behind the restaurant. Set-up: Order at the counter for choices of wraps, plates, and sides Food: I got the gyro wrap ($7). Fresh, but salty. Consider asking for less of the sauce if you are sensitive to salt. Overall, very tasty. Service: Fantastic! Even though you usually pick up your order at the counter, the cashier brought our food to us with utensils and napkins and asked us if we needed anything else. Very impressive. In addition, she came by later and made sure everything was going well.

    (4)
  • GR G.

The gyro combo is offered with a choice of salad or Greek fries and a drink. The fries were fresh cut and had the right amount of salt. The fries were the highlight of the meal. The salad side reminded me of an exploded gyro - think what you had in your gyro, just more of it spilling out of the plate. Yes, I realize what a salad is too. The gyro itself didn't have a lot of meat. Was more lettuce than anything. The pita was grilled on the flat top, but was chewy. Sauce was ok, but nothing special. Convenient location, friendly staff, but below average gyro.

    (2)
  • Steve R.

For me, it's all about the food and service. Excellent on both counts. Best gyros and tzatziki I have had in Atlanta. Generous portions too. Their chicken gyro is tops. Only thing I would improve on are the fries, tasty but limp. I'm a regular for sure.

    (4)
  • Ari H.

Got the gyro combo, the Greek fries were amazing! The gyro had the most tender lamb I've had in a while and the veggies were fresh. Pita was soft and easy to chew but still strong enough to soak up the extra tzatziki sauce. Price was reasonable for the amount. Will return for sure.

    (5)
  • Ashley A.

Got the lamb gyro combo. So much food! Couldn't finish it all. Tasted great. Staff friendly. Didn't realize they charge $1.29 for feta cheese until later when I was checking my receipt.

We've been driving by this restaurant for quite a while. Finally decided to stop in and see what we thought. My wife and I both had the Gyro combo, we were delightfully surprised. There was plenty of meat, the veggies were fresh and the fries were great too. It's a small place not a lot of seating but A delightful meal we will come back again.

I guess the name changed from Gyro King to Gyro Bros. Stars back to 4 based on new inspection ratings. Wonderful staff. GEt it to go, swing by the BP in the adjacent parking lot, pick up original fritos and a real coke. Best combo ever which I've sworn by for 30 years all over the ATL.
