Never thought I would say this ... I have had the pleasure of trying Chinese EVERYWHERE :) I thought the last little hole in the wall place I was referred to (different state) was perhaps the best authentic Chinese to be had and became a mainstay for me. HOWEVER: Being new to the area we took a stab off of reviews. We ordered a typical family meal (the spicy chicken is fantastic!) and each dish was properly prepared with the right amount of portioning in each said dish. There was not an entree tried that wasn't hands down fantastic! Everything was fresh and authentically delicious. Typically, we get two meals out of a our family orders. With China Kitchen we have had our 2nd meal and it was even better than the first (and still have enough for a couple of lunches! Many foods are even better the 2nd day, this was no disappointment in this or any other respect. Let's just say we found our new 'mainstay!' ;)

After seeing that multiple people gave this location 5 stars and reading how satisfied they were w/the food, I was inclined to give this place a try today. I convinced several of my coworkers to try it w/me. No one was happy w/their food. It smelled so bad, I couldn't put the fork up to my mouth w/out feeling sick from the smell. I ordered plain fried rice and it was so fishy, it seemed unsanitary. The rice was so brown, it looked chocolate. Why did plain rice smell like fish? We all wasted money today, all that food went straight to the trash can and now the breakroom smells really ripe. I tried to get a refund, I was offered a free meal next time. There WILL NOT be a next time.

Huge portions and tasty food! I have been looking for a New York style Chinese place since moving and THIS IS IT! Their lunch special is super cheap and you get enough food for 2 meals!

Haven't been here in years. Last time I got the house lo mein and that's what i got this time and it was good both times. The lunch lo mein for $7 is half fried rice, half lo mein, and I mix them both up in a bowl and its a lot, and ....an exceptional pairing! lol.

This rating is only based on the take out side of this place. Inside its dirty and messy and nowhere I'd sit down. But I'm on a hunt for the best Chinese take out. I'm looking specifically for General Tso Chicken. I want crispy, flavorful, decent portions, cheap price. What I found at China Kitchen was pretty good. The sauce was flavorful, the rice was heaping, and it came with an egg roll. I'm sold. I'm still not done searching, but this place is at the top of the list so far.

I have ordered delivery from this restaurant a handful of times mainly because it is inexpensive and there aren't a whole lot of delivery options in the area. However, there food is mediocre at best. I order hot and sour soup at every Chinese restaurant I go to and here I was very disappointed. This time I got pickup and once I walked into the dirty establishment I cannot believe that I actually ate food from here. I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I will never return

I should have walked out as soon as I walked in this place. We were the only ones in this place. When we asked for our drinks they came with what looked like ice cubes from an ice cube tray. Unsanitary. While we were waiting for our appetizer a guy walks in and orders a to go order and a drink, the lady gives him a cup with no ice. When the guys asks for ice she says they don't have any... Where did they get our ice?

My husband recently purchased food for me as I was craving Chinese food. We recently relocated so we rely heavily on the reviews from Yelp to guide our restaurant choices. Unfortunately he didn't check the reviews before visiting. Couple of things to we didn't like was the fact the combos didn't include fried rice or an egg roll . Maybe this is something that we have grown accustomed to. So it was disappointing that they were missing. We ordered chicken and broccoli. Never have I had to add salt and pepper or any kind of seasoning to Chinese food. We won't be going back. On to the next spot.

I have been in this restaurant over 5 times, with and without my wife, lunch & dinner, and late dinner. The foods in general are delicious. Black bean sauce beef is good. Shrimps disk is good. Noodle is even better. Sweet & sour soup is the best in town. Tea is good too. Prices are reasonable.

I don't know what all these other people are talking about. My wife and I went here for lunch today and it will be the last time we go there. First of all, the service was awful. It took 45 minutes to receive our order. I would understand if they were busy, but they weren't. Two parties came in after us and received their order before us. The food itself wasn't great either. My beef was undercooked and very chewy. The best part of my meal was the egg roll. The establishment also smelled dirty inside. I would highly recommend going somewhere else before considering this place. If I could give half a star, I would.

Are you kidding me? Other reviews referred to New York City quality Chinese food. Have you ever been to New York City? Are you sure you could find it on a map? The food at China Kitchen was poor quality, tasteless, overpriced (at any price) .... enough said. Steer clear!

Awesome Chinese take-out. I have been searching for a great Chinese take-out in the area and I found it. Our food arrived very quickly and the driver was very pleasant. The portions are huge and I felt like everything was freshly cooked rather than sitting under a heat lamp for hours on end, much like other places in the area. I threw out all of the other Chinese take-out menus because I found my local spot.

I order from here and its always consistently good. I usually will get wonton soup, egg rolls, vegetable egg foo young... you know, all the healthy stuff. LOL. Hubs will get sesame chicken and we ask for it to be all white meat. They are quick with delivery and havent messed up an order yet.. .however, the last three times I have ordered they have asked for my credit card #, then call me back 5 min later to tell me it didnt go through (when its a debit card and there are more than ample funds) and then will run it through again and say OK, it went through. Whaaaa? Odd.

Excellent food! Excellent Courteous Service! Our company recently moved and China Kitchen still had the previous address on file. I did not remember to correct the address while ordering. Once I thought about it and called, the driver was already at our old address. I gave her the new information and she was very kind and didn't make me feel bad for my mistake. Delivery was still fast even with my blunder! Furthermore, my order was a large, generous portion (enough for two meals) and very flavorful. It exceeded my expectations. I will definitely order from here again. I got egg drop soup, and chicken egg foo young, and my friend got sweet and sour chicken. We were both delighted :)

Best pepper steak I've had in a long time. Good, quick lunch with great prices. Food is DEFINITELY yummy.

This is by far the best Chinese delivery in Alpharetta (and I've tried them all). Food is reasonably priced and delivery is fast. There spicy food is not so spicy so make sure you ask for the pepper oil if you want it spicier. Best crab rangoon in the area..not overcooked or poorly filled like other places I've tried. Hot and sour soup is another one that most places mess up, but China Kitchen's is good..not too thick like other places.Combo plates are the best bang and portions are large. I looked at another review who said that the lady that answers the phone can be bursque. This may seem true when you first call..her name is May..she's actually very nice and once she knows who you are she'll ask how your doing and chat a moment if she has time, but her english is hard to understand.

I have never in my life had the awful service I had with this restaurant!!! I ordered delivery. It took almost 2 hours to get to my house. They brought me the wrong soup and no egg rolls. My food was cold. Everytime I called they just laughed and didnt seem it was urgent to fix my problem! Then they actually expected me to pay!!! I work in a restaurant so I tried to be understanding but there was nothing to understand!!

the current restaurant rating score is a 52! previous score 84 as sited in forsyth county news 12-23-10. long list of complaints include workers not washing hands when came in from outside before working with food, when did wash hands no soap or hot water. raw chicken above soy sauce, raw eggshells above cabbage, eggrolls and wan tons uncovered in freezer, cooked chicken not labeled with date. i could go on and on...

After trying other Chinese restaurants, and being very disappointed, I was hesitant to try this one out. I opted for delivery, as I'm busy packing for our upcoming move, and was very surprised at how quickly they arrived! The driver was courteous, and even apologized for being late, which he was not! I smelled the food and was right away pleased. The combo plate was fantastic, with perfect portions, and the soup was great too. The crab rangoons were far better than I've had anywhere, as well. I will definitely hang on to this take out menu, and either visit them or have them deliver again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
