After giving a five star review previously, I have to say, the last time we visited in April of this year, my favorite dish, the Stuffed Poblano Pepper was absolutely terrible. It was so saturated with grease that it was disgusting and actually wasn't even edible. A big disappointment. I don't know if this was a fluke or what, but I'll give it another try before not returning. I do have to say, the management is very customer oriented, and even changed the TV so my husband could watch the Braves game. Great servers, as well.

Margaritas were overpriced, watered down and syrupy. I guess they use a powdered mix. Just awful. Food is your typical taco bell type Mexican food. Nothing like real Mexican food if that's what you're looking for. If you like taco bell then it might be ok.

Simply a great place to eat. A little treat to Adairsville. Service is always excellent and the prices are reasonable. Also some really friendly folks.

We use to eat here weekly, so much the staff knew us. That being said the last several times the food and service has totally gone South. We don't plan on returning. Typical across the board Mexican

Not bad food. Had the fish tacos, which were fried and huge. Also, tacos al pastor were great. The chorizo dip had way more chorizo than cheese which was kinda overwhelming. All in all though, it was fine for roadside Mexican restaurants.

Absolutely brilliant. Great, consistent food and great service. Best carnitas we've ever had, which is saying something considering that we've ate at dozens of Mexican places.

Must have went on an off day? Basically seated ourselves, went back and got our own menu, went and got more salsa "ourselves" and after waiting an hour and twenty minutes for food, our order was wrong. Food wasn't half bad, but I'll not be going back.

Great food and service. My parents like to eat here when we all get together for dinner during the week. I usually order the Texas fajita which is quite good compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. It is usually packed at lunch or the early evening but there is plenty of room. The only negative is you only get one free refIll for soft drinks, so drink slow!

I love El Nopal! It's the perfect lunch place, and it's usually crowded, which is just further indication of how good it truly is. I always order the quesadilla rellena with chicken added to the beans and cheese. I generally don't like chicken, but the meat is so finely shredded and tender that I even I love it. El Nopal also has restaurants open in Cartersville and Calhoun now, but even though the Calhoun locale is closer, I'd prefer not to abandon my first love.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
