Wow.....we met up with a seller (online) and purchased some items from an estate sale and on the way home -- we initially decided to run by Publix and grab some groceries and head home to eat. Instead -- we saw Labamba Mexican restaurant and saw a few people sitting outside - waiting to be seated. We immediately decided to change our minds and try it out instead of going to Publix all together. The margarita's were wonderful!!! The beer was cold!!! And, we couldn't have been more delighted. Wow - the food and service and attentiveness was outstanding. Our food arrived as ordered and fresh - and at the perfect temperature. The tequila tilapia and shrimp were to die for!!! Here's a quick peak at some of our photos!

This is a definite pass. The food is fantastic. Worth writing home about, for sure. However, the service is bad enough to skip. Party of 6. Took 15m to get chips and drinks. Ordered, and then it took almost 45 minutes to get the food. Just enchiladas and grilled chicken so nothing complex. The servers were spread extremely thin so it seems like more of a management issue. Empty drinks are a bad sign. Multiple tables were complaining. Won't be back. Sorry guys.

We use to go here all the time because it's close to home and the food was decent. I'm not sure if management changed, but the service was bad the past two times we've been there and the food wasn't good either. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Got seated in bar area and service wasn't the greatest, also the music/karaoke was way too loud, we had to yell just to hear each other. Food was ok, chorizo enchiladas were good but quesadillas were not. They were just giant tortillas lying open with some meat. Not my idea of what a quesadilla should be.

Food was great! We enjoyed our first visit. Service was terrific and again the food was very good. The best fajitas and we eat Mexican a lot. Will be back!

We used to go for Tuesday Trivia night, but the food and service are just horrible. Additionally, they use a cleaning product around the bar while customers are still eating. It almost made me sick last time. We won a gift certificate during one of our trivia visits, but it will go unused. Maybe they could ship some of their food to GTMO to torture the prisoners into talking.

Watch out for drinks being added to your tab, if you are drinking alcohol. Waitress behind bar on Bingo Night tried to stiff us with extra Texas Marg. After she gave me the bill and as soon as I raised my hand, she said I had the wrong bill before she knew why I raised my hand. I asked who's bill was it, and she had no answer because there was only one other family in the bar area left. Also, on a Thursday bingo night.... don't use the bar, because at 800pm sharp, they start dumping a pungent cleaner on the floor while customers are still eating and drinking to clear out the bar to start closing up. These folks as jokes....La Bomba.

My wife and I come here often and the food is good and the staff is very friendly. They have a loyalty card which earns you things like free cheese dip which is awesome!! If your looking for good Mexican food then I would defiantly recommend you check it out.

Stay away. We have been coming here for the last few years, and it USED to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. Now it stinks! They have new menus (which are nice) but the prices have gone way up, and the quality of the food has gone way down. Service is terrible. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

We've eaten at La Bamba with friends and were less than impressed (cold food, which is not good). However, they sent multiple fliers to our home advertising their delivery service. They also mention this service on their website. We are homebound for the day so decide to give them another try and call to order lunch. The man who answers tells us they don't deliver until five. We call back at five. The same person now announces they don't deliver. We speak with the manager, who informs us she doesn't really know when the delivery person works. Never a good idea to advertise a service (especially repeatedly) that you don't actually provide.

I've eaten here a few times. The food is decent. However I've also order to go from them several times before and every time they got the order wrong!

Great food, great staff, and amazing drink specials. You get a ton of food for the money so come hungry or take some home for lunch the next day.

Good food, wait staff is definitely lacking. Do not get delivered unless you like soggy/cold Mexican food. I guess you would have to expect that though. Still, the food raises this place from 2 stars to 4 for me.

La Bamba is an excellent restaurant. Menu items are pretty typical Mexican restaurant selections. The wait staff is very nice and attentive and the manager is very helpful and cares about his customers. Trivia on Tuesday night is a blast-- we enjoy the competition, the food, and the service. Also they have karaoke on the weekends. They have televisions throughout the restaurant as well as a bar area and outside seating area.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Great lunch buffet. Love their salsa.

Beware. Has one of the best buffets in area and usually enjoy my visits. I rarely order a beverage unless they are on "special". However, today, I was encouraged by waitress to try Labambarita with two kinds of liqueur for only $12.50. When asked how it was, I honestly replied that it was tasty but the glass had huge chunks of ice, and I couldn't get much liquid out of it. "No problem", I was brought another by the charming young lady. Final bill showed charges for both. Very disappointing as I didn't ask for the second and would never spend 4x as much for booze as I did for the actual meal. Server indicated she would have to pay for it if I didn't.

The food and service and this restraurant are very good. They seem to have a unique taste over other similar restraurants.

Used to be our favorite place. Then they opened a second restaurant, hired a bunch of kids to be the staff, jacked up the prices on the menu and you can now walk in there on the night of your choosing and ALWAYS find a place to sit because they've lost so much business. We've gone back to our old place and won't return. Too bad.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
