Horrible experience.... The music was entirely too loud. I couldn't even have a conversation at a table on the other side of the restaurant, opposite from where the "band" was located. The server seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables he was responsible for and when we complained about the volume of the music, he himself couldn't even hear us nor did he seem to care. The owner has squeezed so many tables in the restaurant, that it seems impossible to walk to and from a table without bumping into someone at another table. Food was overpriced and simply "bar food." This place needs to be either shut down or completely made over. We will never come back to this place and will recommend to anyone who listens to avoid this place as well. I don't normally write negative reviews but this was an awful place to visit and the staff had no interest in making things right.

The philly cheese steak and onion rings are my favorite. I like the atmosphere and the vibe from the live music. Serve is great and it's in the heart of downtown Acworth. The option to sit on the patio is great!

Very much a neighbor hood type of place were the locals go. Service was very good, but the food was mediocre at best. Probably will come back for a beer or two because of the staff, but I wouldn't recommend eating here.

We've been back twice since the first visit. Our second time there was just as good as the first, had the burgers again, and again they were awesome. Just left there tonight where I had the lemon pepper Chicken wings. They were listed on the menu as Jumbo but the ones I was served were quite small, so small in fact that they dried up during the cooking. This is still one of my local Acworth favorites but I'll be sticking with the burgers from here on out. One last thing about my visit tonight, they had a solo singer guitarist who was pretty good except for the volume that was overwhelming in such a small dining area. We had to shout at each other to speak and our waitress was shouting for us to hear. Turn it down a bit to keep the weekend crowds coming in and staying awhile.

Horrible Experience! My friend invites me here for a benifit. My first and only time!! After standing up front wondering what we do, I told the owner we wanted to sit near Daria's friends for the benefit. She was very combative with an attitude. We sat for a while before anyone came to the crowded room. Then I asked for a menu. The the server told me the owner ordered 3 $8.99 meals for even Casey. I told the server at that time that I could not eat those sides and asked if I could change them. She stated that it was ordered already. I told her before we got our drinks that Casey and I didn't want the meals. Daria took an extra one home for Wil but they wanted to argue with me to take the other meal. I finally told her take the food out of my face and please let me order something that I can eat. But after being told that the owner said if she goes to talk to me then she will kick me out. Well I am leaving and not giving her my money and will never be back. I am tellong every person I talk to about the poor leadership here. Especially when the server refers herself as the middle man here. Wow. I am astonished but this lady that works in the customer service industry and sucessful. If it wasnt for her usuals that try people in she would not still be in business with an attitude like that. If go here please be as difficult as possible and see if she kicks you out. Lol

This place is sadly going down hill and fast. I used to come in every Thursday night for wings and drinks but I stopped doing that over a month ago. 10 wings for $10.00 isn't a bad deal if you're getting your moneys worth. The wings used to be big and plump and I could barely finish 6. Now, the wings are tiny and mostly bone. I asked if they changed vendors and was told they didn't. They also changed the wing sauce. I love dry rub wings, which is why I loved their wings and lately their wings are nothing but grease. The wings have so much grease that I typically dry them off in a napkin. The wings are wet or dry depending on when you visit. Lunch time=wet. Dinner time=dry. Odd. Another random thing is they now charge extra for dipping sauces. I can understand if this was a fast food establishment and my burger was 99 cents but if my bill is already over $30.00, why charge extra for a side of ranch? Are you that hard up for money? They used to not charge for extra sauce, now they do. The singers they hire on weekends are awful. My Mom came in town and we wanted a quick drink before we went out and the singer was so bad! I had to take a video because I knew no one would believe me! I only wish I could upload videos on Yelp! Her voice was so out of pitch it sounded like a mating call for cats. And this "talent" sings almost every weekend! Give me a few more shots of Jameson and I'll grab the mic but even I know my limits. Center Street is in a great location and is the only bar in the area open until 2am. I wish they'd go back to the way things used to be.

Overall: C+ I came in at 9:15 on Monday and sat at the bar as I was dining alone. I have passed up this joint several times for Henry's and decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Sante Fe chicken sandwich and waited for about 20 mins. From where I was sitting I could see the kitchen window. My sandwich sat in the window for 8 mins I'm assuming waiting on a food runner or fries. The sandwich overall was good, but would have been better without sitting in the window. I almost rude for interrupting the bartender who was in a ten minute convo with a friend of hers so I could order another drink and spend more money. I would have had 3 but I ate half my food with no beverage. Good food, sub par service. I'll be back but it makes one wonder how a slow Monday can be so disappointing. Too many opportunities to wow a guest missed.

Fun place in downtown Acworth. Live band was great! Haven't tried food but beer was flowing and bartenders were awesome!

Nice Redo of an old hardware store in downtown Acworth. It has a good size bar area and a full service dining area to boot. On warm night there is a outdoor patio to enjoy. There are some typical bar electronic games and 2 nice dart boards in the back game area. Depending on the night they have trivia and bingo nights with "barcash" prizes, lot's of fun. Live music on weekends, kinda loud though. Now on the food side the chef does some great soups from his mom's recipes, the shrimp corn chowder was fantastic. ALso the garlic parmesan wings were to die for. On the two nights we ate there we also had a great reuben and a very good chicken parm. Good service fun place, come on down!

The drinks are generous and stiff, the food is good, the staff friendly, the ambiance casual and upbeat, always some kind of live entertainment going on -- Center Street is great, its where the locals go to have a drink and a good time.

Nice bar like feel inside. My service was excellent! I tried the shrimp burger, it tastes very similar to crab cakes. The chocolate cake was yummy! It is very rich and may not be a good choice if you believe in a crazy thing like 'too chocolaty'! LOL! Oh and there are tater tots on the menu! ;-)

Yum! Literally just ate here 5 minutes ago. There was a really good live band playing and it was busy! But our waitress didn't skip a beat. She immediately approached us a minute after sitting down. We ordered the fried pickles, the black and blue burger and the heart stopping burger. The Sam Adams seasonal beer was on special tonight so hubby got a couple of beers for 3.50 each. Good deal! I ordered a margarita and it was really good! It wasn't strong at all because I usually feel it after a couple sips but I order it for the taste and not the buzz and it tasted good!! My only qualm is I think the margarita was a couple dollars overpriced since there obviously was not much alcohol in it. But it was a tall drink so I guess it evens out. The burgers were so juicy!! I literally took my first bite and I thought the juice was going to fall on my clothes! The fries were perfect and had that sweet and salty seasoning which is my favorite. I didn't know the ranch cups had a charge, 25¢ a cup, but the ranch was good and at least it wasn't 50¢ like how some other people charge. They should let the patrons know that they are charged for each cup so there's no surprise. But all in all, everything was great and we looked on the other side of the menu and saw they have kids eat free nights along with various activities everyday. We will definitely be back!

Our favorite local watering hole. The tavern is always a fun and friendly atmosphere. Food is great and live music on the weekends with no cover is even better. They have a large room in the back that can be used for parties. Check out trivia on Tuesday nights!

I want to like this place and have given it many tries at different times: lunch, dinner, and drinks late in the evening but just can't. The service is terrible no matter if there's 3 full tables or if the place is packed. The food is what one would expect at a bar, nothing special. I think they are packed mostly because they get the overflow from Henry's and Fusco's around the corner which are both worth visiting....if your lucky enough to get a seat.

Had some plump and juicy wings... The lemon Pepper ones were great. The Cajun ones were tasty, but could have used a little more flavor... Enjoyed the Acoustic music... We'll be back.

Love the prices but sometimes the service is a little to slow even when it is a busy time. Very fun atmosphere and it's not too family to get a little wild!

Have been to this place twice now and will definitely go back again. I liked the atmosphere and have found everyone that works here to be really friendly and easy going. While I am not quite sold on the food, I can't say anything bad about it either. Could just be I haven't found that one item that blows me away. Plenty of televisions to catch a game if you want and they have a game room that has free darts, which I enjoy. Not a large place and has never been crowded when I have been there, which I like. Seems like a place you could bring the family or just go to grab a beer without being around a million obnoxious drunks. Also, they have a a service available for a free pick up and free ride from their location to anywhere within 5 miles if you have too much to drink (don't forget to tip the service though). Worth your time to check out, just don't forget to check groupon as they usually have an offer on there.

This is a pretty decent place in a really neat downtown area. I thought the food was very good quality but the service spoiled the evening. The best word to describe our waitress is "indifferent". She seemed to be really apathetic about her job and wasn't interested in serving her customers. We followed dinner with a trip around the corner to Henry's for dessert....totally different experience due to superb attitude by the servers

After many trips to the Center Street Tavern, I feel I must review it. I have ordered: the burger, a reuben, various salads, the much-praised wings, and other sandwiches. All were mediocre. I ordered, on Monday evening, the special which was called beef stroganoff. It was a travesty. I sent it back. They were kind enough to remove it from my bill, but the bad memory lingers. The "beef" wasn't. Not sure what sort of soy protein faux ick it was, but I am certain it wasn't related to beef. The sauce was a pathetic Alfredo with grated cheddar and jack cheese tossed over the top. It was served over penne. One bite and back it went. So, all-in-all, downtown Acworth and dining still remain mutually exclusive.

I found this tavern by dumb luck as I was just trying to find a TV as the Seahawks were playing the Texans, with 4 mins left in the game. I walked through the back side of downtown Acworth and heard football but couldn't see where it was coming from, then POW! The Center Street Tavern? What the... When the... As soon as I opened the doors and walked up a wide cement ramp, I knew I hit pay dirt. This old cattle livery from the 1800s is now a tavern, and the building works. The have several rooms, and sofas as well if you want to just plant yourself down for the duration. I sat at a bar table near the TV I needed. Suzie, bartender and all around everything, came over and took great care of me. I ended up having their Big Pretzel with horseradish-mustard, perfect tavern food. Since I was drinking alone, I didn't get a bucket of beers, rather their PBR beer special. The only bad beer is root beer, and it was served in a frosted pint glass...nice! I ended up asking about wings, and discovered they make dry rub wings, my favorite. I ordered 20 Cajun dry rubbed, cooked well done. They were fantastic! I finally found another place besides BW3s that cook wings the way I like them. The wings were large too, very meaty, and flat out delicious! I'll be back and try more menu items. Maybe it'll get a 5th Star.

Great food. Patty melt was really good. Horrible service. Very courteous staff but waited on the bill for 20 mins. Eventually we just paid cash and left

We went for lunch. It wasn't crowded, nice atmosphere. My friend had the meatball soup and fried fish sandwich, I had a turkey burger with broccoli on the side. We both loved the food. I am planning to return for dinner, they advertise live music on Saturdays and they have an extensive drink menu which is right up my alley.

Love this Tavern. It is in downtown Acworth and they usually make pretty good drinks and fun people. The food however is TERRIBLE ALWAYS. I love the people, staff, drinks, and out door seating enough to make up for it tho

I ordered the Reuben Sandwich which was very tender and moist corn beef with plenty of cheese and sauce to make it the best I've ever had or made at home. The french fries were good even when they cooled. My husband enjoyed his wings and mac and cheese. The draft beer selection was small but ok. Prices were reasonable on beer & average prices for food. Plenty of food to take some home too. We look forward to returning to try more things. The hamburgers looked very good
