Missy's is our go-to breakfast and lunch spot. Come early for both because there may be a wait if it is the busy time. This is a country style buffet, of course there will be grease. If you don't want the best fried chicken or fried pork chops around, then opt for something baked. Eggs, toast, pancakes are cooked to order. There is always plenty to start with while you're waiting for your eggs. Try the breakfast casserole: grits, cheese, bacon, sausage! Can't get any better than the seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday nights. Great staff!

If health is not a concern for you, you can eat anything, and you don't mind a wait, then this is the place for you. However, if you're gluten-free, diabetic, or have any diet restrictions at all (such as just watching what you eat), you're probably not going to be able to eat much here. The restaurant seats 70 people and there are two tables for six. If you have a group larger than that, you're going to have to just sit at separate tables. There really just aren't any options unless you want to wait an incredibly long time. Since this adjoins a motel, there's not a great view while you wait and really not any place to wait either. A kind gentleman was nice enough to mow topless at the motel, which gave us a nice view of his sweaty, rubenesque physique while we ate. Since we are gluten-free and a family member chose this place for an event, I called ahead to ensure there were items we could eat. There are typically three or four main entrée items, and we could eat two of them, which was perfectly fine. However, when we got there, they were out of one, which gave us one choice out of four entrées. I typically prefer to actually have a choice in what I eat. They do have a menu, but there's not a single gluten-free option. The one item we could eat, pulled pork, was covered in sweet barbecue sauce, which I could have done without. They also ran out of rutabagas, and replaced them with sweetened carrots. Every other side that was available was gluten, so there were no sides I could eat other than what I made for myself at the salad bar. They did eventually replace something with boiled squash, which seems to be their preferred method for cooking vegetables. Nothing at all was sautéed or grilled, everything boiled or fried. It was rather annoying to pay and be forced to eat two things. The salad bar was also rather sparse. I actually stopped and got a meal on the way home. My family says the foods we couldn't eat were really good. The macaroni and cheese, squash casserole, fried chicken, cobblers, etc. They also enjoyed the sweetened carrots. However, this is definitely not the place to be if you have any restrictions, since fried and sugared is the name of the game. Service was actually pretty good, the only reason this is not one star for me. However, it just can't make up for a restaurant that doesn't care about the significant part of the population that restricts gluten (or sugar).

My sister and I stopped here for lunch on our road trip from Maryland to the Keys. We were a little worn out and wind blown from all the highway miles and were so pleased to find this place. Feeling a little out of place and lost initially, Sonya, our server made us feel totally at home (she even found me a plug so I could charge my phone for our trip's gps). Onto the food. My sister and I were craving southern comfort food so this place hit the spot. We went with the buffet because we love to taste a little of everything and it was under $10. I will admit I am no southern food snob or expert but everything was yummy. I had the salad bar, fried chicken, mac & cheese, stewed tomatoes, stewed green beans, a dish similar to baked beans (I think it was pinto beans and more savory/less sweet) and 2 biscuits. Yes, I'm a lady... and I ate everything on my plate. The fried chicken was fantastic. I'd skip the salad bar next time. I had to have another biscuit because the first was so dang delicious (and they brought out another batch fresh from the oven). Sonya introduced us to Missy, the owner, who was super friendly and humble. She also reminded us when dishes came fresh from the stove/oven - so our food was hot & fresh (something I am leery of at most buffets). Keep in mind this is a no frills place - but it felt authentic. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, the price was right. This was perfect for us - they even gave us to-go cups and refilled our drinks for the road, which we never would have thought to ask for. Thanks for a great experience!!

Great Breakfast buffet! The food is always fresh and never looks picked over. They have all the basics on the bar including, biscuits, grits, sausage gravy, bacon, sausage and today had country fried steak. Sometimes they even have fried fish. If you want eggs, toast, pancakes or french toast they cook that to order, but it is included with the buffet.

Really liked this place for breakfast as breakfast food is the same almost everywhere you go. The price was fantastic and a couple of dollars more than eating fast food. The decor is roughly 40 years old, definitely not a fancy stop. They cook your eggs to order and the meats and sides come from a buffet.

I was a little disappointed after my first visit here. I came here after the recommendation of my mother in law and other Yelp reviews. I came on a Saturday about 1pm. All Buffet here. Fried chicken and Chicken Livers were the main meat items. The fried chicken was placed in a small metal container within the buffet line-up. It was coming out fresh, but as the chicken is piled up, the pieces underneath are getting soaked with grease. Everyone that's a regular knows this and immediately gets the fresh pieces on top to avoid the soggy pieces below. My crispy chicken skin was wet with grease. Very disappointed. The flavor was good but that's all I can report. I don't eat livers so I can't comment. They also had mac-n-cheese, collards, white rice, stewed tomatoes, cauliflower, black eyed peas, fried Okra, spaghetti noddles and sauce, biscuits, and bread pudding. I also got fried Okra which was oil soaked, mac-n-cheese had a hard shell of chedder cheese melted on top. The bread pudding was overcooked and dry. No biscuits, Stewed tomatoes tasted like spaghetti sauce. Let me just say, I'm not a picky eater, I can eat almost anything with good flavor, but they must have had a bad day on the day I came. I gave a two star instead of a 1 star based on flavor alone. Hopefully everyone else that's coming has a better experience that I did. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday. They are open from 8Am to 2PM for breakfast buffet. On the buffet bar they had bacon, sausage, bisquits and sausage gravy to go with them, hash browns, grits, cheese grits and some sort of casserole made with grits, bacon, sausage, They do your eggs to order. Total 6.96 which includes drinks. Great deal and good food. Good waitress service clearing your plates and coffee refills. Located at the intersection of highway 17 and State road 200. Would like to see this place open at 7AM as I am an early riser.

We ate there for lunch on Sunday. Service was friendly & they welcomed us as we walked in. Seating was full and we asked an older couple if they wanted to join us. We had the buffet $10. The fried chicken was good & crispy & the sweet iced tea was good. The rest of the food was just ok. The mac & cheese was not to our liking. The greens, field peas and other items were most likely canned & very salty. The biscuits were ok. We didn't try desert though the waitress said the peach cobbler was great. We may try it again as we do travel this way often to Fernandina beach. Maybe ordering off the menu will be better. B&J's in Darien, Ga or Arden's in Westside of Jacksonville is much better.

A good selection of food on the buffet, but most of it seemed over salty. Super friendly staff!

Great home style comfort food. We were out on a bike ride and a friend suggested this place. So we stopped in right at closing time and we were greeted with a smile and a come on in and eat. The food was awesome! All homemade everything right down to the pork rinds!! Most defiantly a return is in order!!

Easy 4 1/2 stars for my first visit today. Lunch buffet was $9.10 (total price), and that included tea or a soda, and dessert (peach cobbler with ice cream today). On the buffet today was turkey & dressing, fried chicken, country style steak in white gravy, real mashed potatoes, cabbage, lima beans, mac & cheese, green beans (cooked with ham), corn, rice, stewed tomatoes and biscuits, along with a salad bar. Yesterday, we were coming back from Fernandina Beach, and I noticed a lot of cars around this restaurant. This morning, we were on our way back to the beach, and there were still a lot of cars around this place. So when we left the beach, I stopped in to look around. I was immediately approached by a friendly waitress, who explained exactly what is included on the buffet. After looking the buffet over, I went outside, and got my wife, and told her that we should try it out. Everything I ate was very good. The chicken was especially good, along with the turkey & dressing, green beans, real mashed potatoes and peach cobbler & ice cream. And the ice tea tasted great. Let me tell you, this place is worth the detour from I-95

First time in Yulee. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere with great service. Enjoyed the varied breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back when I return to Yulee.

Get off the highway and stop at Missy's. Great $9 buffet. Fried chicken, fish, vegetables cooked the way my grandmothers did 'em. Nice people. Hands down beats the chain restaurant grind.
