The office went to Carlucci's for a birthday party at lunch. There were 10 of us. We had no problem getting a table. The restaurant is decorated with photos and memorabilia of baseball greats from New York. The wait staff was pleasant and efficient. We started with two appetizers Garlic Knots and Pizza Fries. The garlic knots were as expected warm knots of bread coated with lots of garlic and parmesan cheese. The Pizza fries were a surprise to me, although I don't know what I expected, fries covered with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. The dish was then warmed in the pizza oven until the cheese had melted. It was then sprinkled with parmesan cheese, quite good actually. The pizza's arrived in good time. We had a cheese and a Carlucci's Meat Lovers pizza. The pizza was very good. The crust was crispy on the bottom and the cheese melted perfectly. I can see why this restaurant was voted for a foodie award this year by Scott Joseph. With the decline of Alfonzo's last year I have been looking for good pizza and I think that I have found my new favorite.

Carlucci's is your average Italian restaurant. With so many Italian places in Orlando, can Italian still be considered ethnic? I'll try the pizza next time and maybe I can up my rating.

Have had delivery almost 10 times since the last update. Solid every time. Farts pretty good as well.

Carlucci's is a very average Italian restaurant. I had Eggplant Parmesan and some appetizers - garlic rolls and pizza rolls. None of it was bad, but nothing to rave about either. My best impression was the fact that they had a number of craft beers in bottle - Victory Hop Devil (IPA) and Pennant Ale '55 (English Pale Ale) included - along with the standard Italian mainstay Peroni. Knowing that I'll probably have to settle for the latter is always a downside of eating Italian for me.

Food takes a while to come out but it's super kid friendly which helps!

The place was pretty quiet on Sunday when I went with a group after church. I ordered a pepperoni calzone. Carlucci's doesn't charge for the ricotta which I've seen some pizza places do. The pepperoni came minced inside which is a first but it worked well and seemed evenly distributed. The dough was light and tasted good the next day. The pizza sauce looked homemade with chunks of roasted onion. It's definitely a whole in the wall. The table was dirty and we had a leak overhead but the food was good. For $8.51 plus tip, you could get two meals out of the calzone.

I've been here twice and head the pepperoni pizza both times and garlic knots. Best pepperoni pizza I've had! Only place that I have been too that chops up the pepperoni and spread it all over so you taste it with every bite! Well done Carlucci's! Garlic knots are worth mentioning as well very tasty with large chunks of garlic on them!

Average Italian place. I had the baked ziti and it was overlooked. Nice set up in the restaurant but the food was just average. I wouldn't go out of your way to go here and if your not expecting too much, it is fine.

I've been coming here for a years. Great pizza, enough to take home for leftovers. The salads taste fresh and the strombolis are to die for. The waitresses have been very attentive and service first class. I recommend this place to all my friends needing a true NYC style Italian food.

Delicious pizza, really good crust marinara and fresh toppings. They have the BEST wings in town. We've tried a lot of different pies and they've all been really good with the exception of the sicilian that was a disappointment.

Best garlic knots I've had! I come here about twice a month with my work folks. Fast service. Fresh food. Very nice staff. Clean location. Very good pricing.

I like this place. The pizza is very good, but sometimes the service can be a bit slow. But their red sauce is delicious! The mussels are amazing and their pizza is always a treat. They do deliver and although it of course is more expensive than Dominos or Pizza Hut, it is worth it. The garlic knots are doughy and drowning in butter & olive oil, just how they should be. I just wish I hadn't moved away from Winter Park, because I am too lazy to drive. ;)

Carlucci's is a must for my Restaurant hit list! I love their pie and garlic knots but recently I tried the special... if you go for nothing else try the special... I have yet to try one that was bad! I tried the tortellini with prosciutto and was blown away! This place rocks! I'm planning a birthday get together and they offered to make me my favorite even though it isn't a regular menu item! As far as service goes this place is an A+ We tend to go late (which standardly you'd get lots of attitude for) but still get good service and smiles

I order a White pie every week from this place. You have to understand we're from up north, used to NY pizza. It took a while to find some good pizza around here, and Carlucci's truly brings NY style pizza to this area. The dough is spectacular, and so are the toppings and overall flavor. This is not a place to go and get a grinder, chicken wings etc - you could, and i'm sure they're good, but try the pizza and THEN review it. This place is all about the pie, all about NY style pie. One thing I always complain to them is the amounts regarding toppings, make sure you let them know you want to add say "sausage" and that you want more than 4 pieces of it on your pie! They can be a little skimpy on the amount until you tell them, but overall the pie is spectacular, fresh and authentic. I have tried most pizza joints around the college park/winter park (and i am OBVIOUSLY excluding chain stores). Carlucci's has been the one winning my business week after week. Give their pie a try.

I love pizza and HAVE Yo get it whenever I go to NYC. Searched for years for good pizza here in Orlando. Found this place today and was really surprised. I am all about toppings on my pizza since I only usually eat one slice. Not only does Carlucci's sell pizza by the slice ( strangely, a rarity in Central Florida) , but their list o topping us impressive. Artichoke ? Red Pepper? Broccoli ? I am in love. Not toppings you regularly see in land of Papa Johns. Know what I mean? Service was quick and server very nice. Pizza was great too, by the way!!

If you like NYC pizza, Orlando is a big challenge. I've only found two places in all of the Orlando area that I would recommend. One is Carlucci's. The other is Careira's. Both have good thin crust, considering they don't have the NYC water, and both have good sauce and toppings, though they are distinct. Carlucci's adds more garlic than Careira's. I'm not a big garlic fan, as I feel it is a cheap way to cover up the true taste of food. When I go to Carlucci's, I ask them to hold the garlic and then I'm happier. With all of that said, these are the two best places to get pizza in the Orlando area if you are a NYC pizza snob.

Great Food...Best Pizza...Love the Carlucci's special hand tossed! Best Eggplant Parmesan. Had a problem one time and they resolved it right away.

For a while there Carlucci's was making really good pies. Their sauce is a bit more oily than my favorite pizza from Broadway, but it was good. I used to order a pie with roasted red peppers & fresh mushrooms. It was really tasty and the mushrooms were nice and thick. The employee turnover at Carlucci's has been quite high, since it is a little strip mall pizza joint, but you'd be doing yourself a favor if you stopped in and patronized their establishment.

Great Pizza & lunch specials. I especially enjoy family-owned establishments and this one is good for casual, no-fuss, good ol' pizza. It's nothing mind blowing but is quaint and tasty.

I understand gas prices are soaring, but I only live 3.27 miles away in Baldwin Park!! You must be doing great business in your very limited area to exclude me from your delivery zone.

Great food and service...plus the entire place is decked out in Yankees history. I have only ever gotten the pizza and recently it has been very good. I would highly recommend this place for those wanting well priced Italian food.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
