I knew they were good - but I didn't know they were THIS GOOD. We started off with the carpaccio which was perfect - and a pretty large serving. We scraped the plate. They also brought out fresh baked bread with olive oil and vinegar. Man, I love bread.... The wife had some wine (reasonable prices on bottles and glasses) and I had an ice cold Perroni. Then I had the spinach gnocchi with four cheese and pine nuts. and Ros had the Woodoven Baked Ziti with buffalo mozzarella, reggiano and tomato sauce. WHOA! Luckily my wife likes to share so we took more than one bit off each others plate. My gnocchi was amazing. Comes in a white sauce which I felt was a little tiny bit sweet but made the flavors blend together perfectly. The pine nuts were the perfect addition. The Baked Ziti was phenomenal too - I don't usually like red sauce, but the dish had more than enough cheese to make this a home-run. Even though we tried, we couldn't finish our plates. They were both big servings! We decided to skip dessert. The only minor negative here was the service. Our waiter took forever for everything. From coming around to take our order, to bringing over the check. It was midweek and the place was super busy - so I assume they were understaffed and he was picking up the slack, which is why I didn't round down on the rating. Plus, the food was so solid it was able to carry the entire experience. Now, for some gelato next time!

Very good authentic antipast w an assortment of marinated vegetables, olives, white beans, mortadella, prosciutto, smoked mozz, etc. Arancini was lead heavy and made w yellow rice and saffron, Porcini Risotto was gummy, too cheesy. Near perfect Octopus Carpacio, almost ethereal slices of tender Octo accented with light truffle and olive oil, arugula and lemon. Decent but pricy wine list. I'd go back and try again as its a nice atmosphere and servers were adept.

We have been here several times and are always pleased. Last night there were four of us. One of us ordered a lasagna, another had a Margarita pizza, and two of us had the sea bass over spinach with chunks of lobster, lightly covered with a delicious sauce cooked with cherry tomatoes and garlic. Wow is the best description I can give the sea bass special!! If it is available, go for it! Their pizzas are always a good choice. Best to make a reservation, there will be a long wait on the weekends without one.

What?! She rated D'Angelo 2-stars? Yes, I did and only because the ambience is great, the decor is nice and our server was kind. It's missing the five-star rating because our waiter was not attentive one bit [everything we needed (drink refills, pepper, parmesan cheese, etc.) we had to ask. Rather than coming up to the table, looking at it to see, if we were missing something and asking if we wanted refills or if we wanted parmesan cheese with our main course. Another reason, was something lacking or missing with every dish we ordered. My boyfriend and I ordered the Eggplant Rollatini as an appetizer. It could have used a little salt, but overall it was okay. I ordered the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare and John ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. My dish was okay. The pasta was cooked al dente but it was a little too oily and salty for my liking. The Chicken Parmigiana was just soggy rather than crispy and leaving more to be desired. I definitely want to return to give it another try before I strike it off my list. Maybe I'll go with one of their pizzas since they have such a large selection.

Not a very good 1st experience. My wife had the lobster bisque which was good. I never send food back but I ordered a grilled chicken and couldn't make myself eat it. It had tons of pepper, no flavor and it was accompanied by some soggy / tasteless broccolinis and potatoes. In exchange I ordered a margarita pizza. Not that great either. To add to the whole experience, and the AC being too cold, the waiter forgot to place my kid's order. Go figure... In summary, for the price they charge I expect way better quality.

Yes I'm a loyal customer and been so since I moved to Weston from NY 1 year ago. But I'm so upset about my last visit that I had to tell the world. I still love the food, ambience and the waiters, but today I walked in and ask for a both as I do everything time I go there (I had 3 back surgery since 2013 and I need the support) and I was told that they don't seat party of 2 in a both, ( always do it, never had a problem)mind you is Wednesday at 5:40 PM and the place is practically empty. What really piss me off is that no more the 10 minutes later 2 different couples walked in and guess what, they were sat in a both (no reservations).

I live right around the corner from D'Angelo's and thought it was just a pizza place until some friends told me otherwise! Called on Friday evening for a Saturday night reservation, no problem, when we arrived at 8pm, we were seated and I was a little nervous, the restaurant only had a few customers, however, by the time we left, not an empty seat! Our server was awesome! He recommended some wine and even brought me some too taste before ordering...he also brought out a glass of their homemade Sangria, just for feedback...it was delish! We started off with the Antipasto and Buffalo Mozzarella for the table, both were a huge hit! Two of us at the table ordered one of the specials 'Lobster Oreganato'...stuffed main lobster tail cooked to perfection with a side of Pesto Pasta. The pasta was amazing. I took 1/2 home and and hour later dug into it, I was so full but couldn't leave it sitting in the fridge, it was screaming my name! My husband ordered the Filet and enjoyed it. My girlfriend ordered another special, can't recall exactly what it was, a fish dish, and she also enjoyed it. For desert we ordered the Chocolate Mouse Cake...so light and airy! The table next to us ordered a pizza which looked and smelled incredible. My husband and I are planning on returning to try a few more appetizers and pizza...can't wait! Although a bit pricey, I'm glad it's just not a 'pizza place'...perfect for date night!

I came here with my husband for an impromptu date night. We had driven by several times and finally decided to try it. The ambiance with pleasant. A diverse crows was present that night. Our bar render was great had plenty of auggestions and our cocktails were excellent. We decided to eat at the bar and the service was quick. Pizza was good, not the best I've had. A frustratingly disappointing dining experience. My boyfriend and i had been looking forward to trying this place, as good restaurants in Weston aren't exactly plentiful. Boy were we disappointed. Here's the list of things they shockingly managed to get wrong: - the Arancini was an overpriced ball of fried yellow rice with a mere morsel of veal osobucco - Caesar salad was what I'd expect at Olive Garden - I've had better Rigatoni Bolognese in a stouffers TV Dinner (I promise we're not nit-pickers but when many little things add up, an average meal can go from disappointing to frustrating, especially at premium prices) - the chairs screech so loud they interrupt your conversation (the couple next to us was shuddering at the sound) - and finally, the kicker: after being seated for several minutes while one waiter was standing in the corner looking lost, another waitress was slowly (& aimlessly) pacing about. So we flagged her down after several times of making eye contact, and before I could open my mouth, she said "oh I'm not your server!" with the clear intent to keep walking! It couldn't have been more obvious that we were looking for service. The only upside to our dinner was the fact that we could laugh over the plethora of service lapses, training opportunities and easy fixes. God help them if Robert Irvine ever shows up there! So much potential (nice ambiance for a strip mall, interesting menu, extensive wine list) all gone to waste. Go to Mallardi's for ambiance, Bellini for food, vignetto's for Neighborhood charm, even Tarantella for better service)

I've been to d'angelo's since it opened and have never been disappointed. Was there again last night and had the fetuccine bologness. I like to try a different dish whenever I go. Love the lasagna and now love the fettuccine. Pizza is always delicious too. We always save room for the black and white mousse dessert! Amazing! We like the decor too. Have been for a couple of business lunches and also some family dinners. It's a welcome addition to Weston, which probably biases my view a little. The good: Pizzas are excellent. Desserts are yummy. Most of the dishes are very good, particularly those that are seafood related - but some other meats do miss. The vibe and decor is straight up Miami. The not so good: service is a little hit and miss. It's a little pricey for "small plates." Tables are stacked on top of each other. I'm still going to give the food nod to Acquolina, which is a little more geriatric to be fair. But the grand prize of ambiance + food goes to D'Angelo. Both restaurants serve a positive purpose and that's what counts.

I probably would have given D'Angelo four stars and I'm wondering if the issue is when I went. More on that a little later. Walking into the restaurant you think you're at a nice upscale place on Las Olas. Vibrant and bright with recessed light panels behind shelves of wine bottles. We were there early evening and the place was packed. A nice Italian red blend for $45 was our choice and they had many great wines on the menu. Started off with a cheese plate - love them and D'Angelo does it right. Two meats and two cheeses of our choice accompanied by arugula, artichoke hearts, olives, figs and honey. Delicious but pricey at $20. Our server struggled only briefly when we asked for a recommendation ("I don't eat salami") but recovered nicely when we asked which was the most requested. We split a four white cheese pizza (gorgonzola, taleggia, buffalo and stracchino) with their veal and pecorino cheese meatballs. Thin crust pizza with a wonderful blend of flavors from the cheeses. Extremely good! And the two meatballs were moist, tender and plenty big to share. And it had a lot of extra sauce for dipping your bread. Can't go wrong with cannoli for dessert - though the dessert pizza sounded intriguing. D'Angelo is a great addition to Weston. Okay, we went on a weekend during peak snowbird season so maybe that's why the place was cramped and noisy. But the tables are also right on top of each other. Overall, the food is great and the service is too, so we'll go back in the off season.

We loved our entire experience at D'Angelo's. The interior is small but comfortable and the selections are outstanding. Our server was wonderful and very helpful. He wasn't pushy and would arrive just when it was appropriate. We ordered some small plates for tasting and a flatbread of fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. All was delicious. The food was incredibly bland with the exception of the gnocchi. The White pizza had no flavor. It just tasted like burnt crust. We had three small plates, two pizzas, one chicken parmesan and some cocktails. For our party of four the bill was over $300. It was so not worth it. $300 for a bunch of carbs and no meat is a lot!

Eat at Casa d'Angelo a lot and love it, so we were excited to try this one. We had the clams and mussels appetizer...could have ordered a couple of more, with more bread and made that dinner! It was that good! We also had the eggplant rollatini and the short ribs...both fantastic! The ricotta cheesecake was almost as good as Casa's. We ate on a Monday night, so wine was 1/2 price, and the wine list is very complete. Looking forward to going back often!!

Great decor inside, if I wasn't specifically looking for the restaurant though, I would never go in as it looks very dreary from the outside. The food is delicious - but entree portions are very small and overpriced. We had calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious. My only gripe is the fact that the entree portion was smaller than the appetizer. Oh, and for dessert I had La Torta de Nonna and it left much to be desired. It was a lemony cake that tasted very artificial and not worth the calories.

Walked on with no reservation but was told wait was only 20 mins. We (table for 2) opted to wait at the bar until a table opened. 45 mins later, we were still waiting while watching a table for 2 right next to us go unoccupied for 15 mins. The maître d stopped by to say 15 minutes(!) more and we pointed out the unoccupied table. He said "oh, you can have that table if you want" WTF?!?! I asked if $20 would cover my martini and my bf's coke. They gladly took my money and we left, to have a delightful dinner at Parc 28 only about 50 FT away, which I highly recommend. Food was AMAZING at Parc 28!!!

My family and I have been here many times- and its always great! The food is very consistent, and outstanding, and the staff is very attentive and welcoming. They have by far, the BEST pizza around- although we also love their pasta (Penne A La Vodka (with shrimp or chicken), and Gnocchi), scallops, fresh fish and amazing short ribs! In fact, I don't think we have ever ordered a dish we didn't like- the chef is awesome. The Stromboli pizza dessert is to die for! My absolute favorite and a must try if you haven't had it. The staff is very friendly- and the manager is great, too! He has checked on us a few times when we ate there. The wait staff is very knowledgeable of the menu, as well as, the wine list. They have recommended many great wines that I would not have ever ordered on my own. My husband has also enjoyed their variety of beers and cocktails. All in all, its a great place for a Sunday Family Dinner, or a date night for the hubby and me. The food is outstanding, with great service, and you can go as cheap or as pricey as you want.... for example, with the family we often order pizza and appetizers, so its relatively inexpensive, or when we have date night, we order more pricey things, like the filet and scallops! Both are great, and I love that we can make it what we want.

I happen to visit this restaurant last week to have dinner and drinks with a couple girlfriends. I'm usually not the "review" type however, I was quite impressed that this was a local place. The modern decor and ambiance makes you feel like you're somewhere other than Weston. The menu was awesome, as well as the wine list. We let the our server help us with selections- and everything he suggested, we loved! I had the Lobster Pesto and it was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back on a date night. Angelo comes to Weston. He's raised the bar for West Broward and it seems like he got it right. A simple menu with salads, pizzas, pastas, ceviche and appetizers. Six of us tried a variety of dishes-many home runs! We loved the stuffed zuchini blossoms. We tried two pizzas, the salmon pie was just eh. Also had the gnocchi which was outstanding. They have daily specials listed and we tried the Bronzino. Yum. The ceviche looked great and got high marks. Salads were nothing special and would pass on them next time. Dessert was delicious gelato and six spoons. Yummy. The good: the interior is really nice. Excellent service. Quality ingredients. Not so good: the portions are small. The place is noisy and not very intimate. I was shouting to my neighbor. The location is not too exciting, another strip center and sitting outside would not be appealing here. The prices: steep. Take the gold card and a full wallet. The group enjoyed the meal and the new hot spot! Will go back and try other menu items soon.

"YIP! Finally" Weston needed this so badly. The food is ultra fresh. I have eaten there probably 7 or 8 times since it's opening. This is the D'Angelo Family that all Foodies in SoFlo have grown to know and love over the years. The experience shows in the food and attention to detail. The flavors are spot on and everything I have had has been fresh and delish. My Favs: Linguine and Clams- it was perfect. The tiny little clams with the perfect noodle and white brothy sauce. The Sausage and Escarole- perfection. The Stuffed Zuchini Flower, I order a side of tomato sauce for acid, it is really good. Can't say enough about this place. I have never been disappointed. My only reason for 4.5 vs 5 stars is because it is more informal, not a 5 star experience like their other, more formal East-side spot. My only, "I wish this was better" is the bread. I am not a big fan. Would rather have a more toothsome bread that will stand up to a great pasta, this is soft and fluffy and often has a burnt char. That said, litteraly everything else I have ever ordered has been really good. I so with stars came with half options... 4.5 stars.

We went back to D'Angelo now that the weather is a bit cooler, we prefer to sit outside since we have small kids and like to give the diners some peace and quiet. Our server was Rima, she was great! Very attentive to our needs and came back often asking if we needed anything. She even decided that my wife's Calzone was not correct and had the chef make it again. Chef Antonio came out to greet us and personally apologize for the problem We had pizza for the kids (always great), we had the Sea Bass and also the Polpo. Everything was really good. Went to D'Angelo's on a late Sunday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant is very small but has an intimate feeling. The menu is diverse and has a wide variety for any taste (pizzas, tapas, salads, pasta dishes, fishes, meats, veggie plates, etc), enough to please any palate. We had the lobster bisque which was quite delicious (not too fishy or pungent in taste), the spinach gnocci with pine nuts which came adorned in a large bowl and drowning in a thick yet sweet and creamy sauce, and shared a nutella strawberry pizza for dessert which was simply out of this world. The prices were a tad steep for the sizes of each dish, but the tastes were divine. I would return if in the area.

I was gonna do take out but i figured I'm here so ill just stay in bc the vibe seemed very Chill on A Thursday night, I sat at the Bar and was Greeted by Oscar! Who was quite friendly and helpful so ill tell you off the bat he was Excellent and I give him a Five star Rating for Service. But unfortunately his recommendation was somewhat Off Wine and Dessert were on Point but the main Course "Fat Rigatoni" not So much and why You ask well because for $17.00 my Pasta was No where near Al dente and the flavors were just Off!!! If you Ask me its more like a $5.99 dollar plate of Pasta, the Ricotta cheese was very bland not complementing the rest of the Dish so bottom line a very blah dish for to much money$$$$. The Wine was good a Pinot Noir so you cant mess that up and the dessert was a chocolate mousse cake which was Delicious and hit the sweet tooth spot! Ill prob update my review as I return again to try other items on the menu hopefully they wont be disappointing as that pasta dish!

D'Angelo is an Italian tapas place. That means the portions for some of the dishes are small. The prices, however are ridiculous for tapas sized portions. They have a specials board on the wall that does not list prices. Be warned, the items towards the bottom are the most expensive. We had the Colorado lamb, and it was $30. The waiter tried to talk me out of it, but didn't have the decency to tell me the price. The food was delicious. The waiters are well trained. Nice modern decor. Clean establishment. My only complaint is there deceptive business practice of not posting prices for the specials. I figured I'd give my fellow Yelper's a fair warning, instead of "bring the gold card", as other reviewers stated.

My boyfriend convinced me to try D'Angelo instead of Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza. Our experience there was enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and the service was decent. The prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella was exceptional. The cheese was so fresh and tasty. I will for sure return to D'Angelo for some more buffalo mozzarella.
Love love love this place. If you want a more casual yet modern atmosphere, great service, and top notch quality food then this is the place! Four of us tried a few tapas, cheese and meat board, entrees, drinks, desert, etc.....and we loved it all! Not expensive but not cheap! Also a lot of vegetarian options with a few tweaks!

I've been to the restaurant a total of 4 times and each time have been highly disappointed by the hostesses. Each time I have been greeted by either a phony smile and almost condescending attitude, if not by someone who was obviously having a bad day. The restaurant is pricey, but the quality of the food makes up for it as do the well trained, friendly waiters. Its a shame that the raised nosed waitresses ruin the entire experience.

This restaurant is always busy so I was eager to give it a try; I was underwhelmed. The waiter was friendly when he bothered to come by the table, which wasn't often. We ordered an appetizer that was good, but then my salad arrived heavily doused in dressing when I asked for the dressing on the side. My main course arrived a full 10 minutes before my husband's and no one said a word about it as I sat there watching my food get cold. I tried to order lighter items but there aren't many to choose from- almost everything is heavy, heavy, heavy- don't go there if you're trying to stick to a healthy eating plan!! On the plus side, the decor is lovely- it reminded me of London. The gelato bar was fun- the gelato guy let me sample several flavors, so that was a plus. If I go back it will only be for the gelato; I'll skip right over the rest of the menu.

Went for the first time on a Friday night. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and looked upscale certainly for a strip mall restaurant However for a smaller place it's very very loud inside. We were just a couple and had to talk very loudly just to hear each other all dinner. Service was fair at best. Took a long time to be greeted. Bread came after appetizers. Water even upon request wasnt brought until near end of entree and they only brought one glass. Parm cheese for entree wasnt offered until food half eaten and then only upon request when server had time. Appetizers including a soup and an eqqplant dish were good. Menu overall looked great but I made the mistake of ordering a chicken parm dish that was a "special". Chicken parm is a staple of mine for decades and this one ranks pretty low. It came as a relatively small nearly perfect oval shape reminding me of a frozen patty. It was tough and a bit dry and tasteless. And as a "special" they charged over $20 for it..really? It was one of the higher priced items compared to menu. An Italian restaurant that cant wow on a basic dish like chicken parm and charge around $16 to $17 has work to do. I believe they are new and maybe things will improve, it has potential.

I have never been disappointed here. There is something for everyone. Lovely wine selection, great pizzas, fabulous dinner salads, pasta and seafood entrees. Honestly the biggest problem is narrowing it down. The last salad I ordered I shared--it was a delicious Italian board with ratatouille, cold cuts, cheeses, olives, etc. It was to die for. Most of their salads are a very big size--you could have one for dinner. The fruti di mare is especially delicious on a hot summer day. My son especially loves the spicy olive oil they bring for your bread. Tucked away in a shopping mall, it seems rather unassuming, but is a great experience. I wish they would take down the TVs--they are a distraction to an otherwise wonderful experience.

Expensive restaurant with extremely poor service. Food was decent but not worth its prices. Server was rough in bringing plates and silverware, and we could hear 2 servers complaining to each other of how much didn't want to be there We order the chef salad which seemed it was 150 different ingredients tossed together. Pizza was made to order and ok flavor. I dont recommend this place. You might as well eat a sub at Publix

I sat at the bar. Service was prompt and attentive. They have a fine wine list, perhaps I should not be surprised but I am. A Chardonnay from the Veneto was wonderful. A piece of fish for dinner, Bronzino, was prepared perfectly, with a light sauce over spinach nothing special about the presentation. The fish was delicious. Finish with a nice espresso. The servers were quite personable. The ambience was very friendly and energetic. Overall pretty good I would definitely eat here again when in the area. MG.

Hmmm. That guy sitting at one of the tables outside that restaurant in this Weston strip mall looks like A football player from The Dolphins. Oh, because it is. Why is he eating outside in a strip mall? Oh because the food isn't bad, there is a decent wine list, some appetizing tapas, pretty decor, and overpriced cocktails. The place looks good. But not as good as That football player. Pizza seems to be the way to go here as the pasta dishes are mmmmmmeh. Tapas were typical. Wait staff is eager but a little overwhelmed at times. Maybe mr Ex Dolphin got better service. I will ask him next time. Don't think I will be coming back for a while though. Sorry Football dude. It's not you. It's them.

Stick with the pizzas and apps and you'll be fine. Look away from the entrees and specials, there's nothing to see here. Last night was my 4th visit over the last 6 mos and my impression has been consistent. I've gotten typical uninterested service, with overpriced food, in a beautiful (sort of) setting. The main menu items of pizza, panini, salad, meat/cheese plate are fine. Fresh, nicely executed but as everything else, pricey. The specials board is an overly expensive throw back. No creativity, high prices, small portions, no discernable freshness. An example, the short rib was about a 3oz portion over a scoop of forgettable mashed potato and a heavy red wine sauce. Period. Okay at a diner, but expected more finesse at an upscale place run by long time professionals. Again, okay for $12 but not $22. Good wine selection, including by the glass. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy Italians. Someone with talent and passion obviously designed and built the interior. Just beautiful and clean. It is very bright, though, so for God's sake turn the lights down! The location stinks. It's in a dreary strip mall next to an Ace hardware. There are several other strips in Weston which feature great waterfront seating so it's disappointing that the owners would settle for this spot. Our servers have been meh. Friendly enough but not particularly knowledgeable about the menu, and definitely not attentive to the table. My neck hurts from all the times I need to look around to get a water glass refilled. And forget about anyone checking to see how the dishes arrived -- at least not within 10 minutes! Overall disappointing from experienced restaurant ownership. It's fine for a light late night bite or a glass of wine.

Come for the beautiful ambience and the wine selection. Not the food. My friend and I arrived on a Tuesday evening for some wine and tapas. We split the fried zucchini flowers, tomato caprese and sausage with escarole & beans. These items looked freaking delicious, and based on the gorgeous ambience, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Unfortunately, I was. The tomato caprese says it comes with pesto, but only the smallest droplet imaginable was displayed. I immediately giggled to myself when I saw, and asked the waiter for more before I even began eating. The tomato seemed fresh, but the mozzarella was so basic, I knew it HAD to of been purchased at publix, pre-sliced, then dropped on the plate. Overall it was extremely standard. The zucchini flowers HAD to of been frozen. They reminded me of a glorified jalapeño popper that you would get at a TGI Fridays or something of that nature. Good, I will say, but not something I couldn't have gotten elsewhere. I will say, the sausage with escarole and beans was delicious. Mainly the sausage, which was charred a bit and had tons of flavor. Again, the escarole and beans tasted standard. There were cloves of garlic in the dish that weren't cooked properly, and were a bit hard. I will comment however on how BEAUTIFUL the place was inside, and how delicious our wine selection was. We had a great time regardless, and would probably return- just don't expect a culinary experience that will blow your mind (at least with tapas).

4.5 but I am rounding up because the minor setbacks can easily be tweaked. I came in with the wife for a mid week birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I knew they were good - but I didn't know they were THIS GOOD. We started off with the carpaccio which was perfect - and a pretty large serving. We scraped the plate. They also brought out fresh baked bread with olive oil and vinegar. Man, I love bread.... The wife had some wine (reasonable prices on bottles and glasses) and I had an ice cold Perroni. Then I had the spinach gnocchi with four cheese and pine nuts. and Ros had the Woodoven Baked Ziti with buffalo mozzarella, reggiano and tomato sauce. WHOA! Luckily my wife likes to share so we took more than one bit off each others plate. My gnocchi was amazing. Comes in a white sauce which I felt was a little tiny bit sweet but made the flavors blend together perfectly. The pine nuts were the perfect addition. The Baked Ziti was phenomenal too - I don't usually like red sauce, but the dish had more than enough cheese to make this a home-run. Even though we tried, we couldn't finish our plates. They were both big servings! We decided to skip dessert. The only minor negative here was the service. Our waiter took forever for everything. From coming around to take our order, to bringing over the check. It was midweek and the place was super busy - so I assume they were understaffed and he was picking up the slack, which is why I didn't round down on the rating. Plus, the food was so solid it was able to carry the entire experience. Now, for some gelato next time!

Very good authentic antipast w an assortment of marinated vegetables, olives, white beans, mortadella, prosciutto, smoked mozz, etc. Arancini was lead heavy and made w yellow rice and saffron, Porcini Risotto was gummy, too cheesy. Near perfect Octopus Carpacio, almost ethereal slices of tender Octo accented with light truffle and olive oil, arugula and lemon. Decent but pricy wine list. I'd go back and try again as its a nice atmosphere and servers were adept.

We have been here several times and are always pleased. Last night there were four of us. One of us ordered a lasagna, another had a Margarita pizza, and two of us had the sea bass over spinach with chunks of lobster, lightly covered with a delicious sauce cooked with cherry tomatoes and garlic. Wow is the best description I can give the sea bass special!! If it is available, go for it! Their pizzas are always a good choice. Best to make a reservation, there will be a long wait on the weekends without one.

What?! She rated D'Angelo 2-stars? Yes, I did and only because the ambience is great, the decor is nice and our server was kind. It's missing the five-star rating because our waiter was not attentive one bit [everything we needed (drink refills, pepper, parmesan cheese, etc.) we had to ask. Rather than coming up to the table, looking at it to see, if we were missing something and asking if we wanted refills or if we wanted parmesan cheese with our main course. Another reason, was something lacking or missing with every dish we ordered. My boyfriend and I ordered the Eggplant Rollatini as an appetizer. It could have used a little salt, but overall it was okay. I ordered the Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare and John ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. My dish was okay. The pasta was cooked al dente but it was a little too oily and salty for my liking. The Chicken Parmigiana was just soggy rather than crispy and leaving more to be desired. I definitely want to return to give it another try before I strike it off my list. Maybe I'll go with one of their pizzas since they have such a large selection.

Not a very good 1st experience. My wife had the lobster bisque which was good. I never send food back but I ordered a grilled chicken and couldn't make myself eat it. It had tons of pepper, no flavor and it was accompanied by some soggy / tasteless broccolinis and potatoes. In exchange I ordered a margarita pizza. Not that great either. To add to the whole experience, and the AC being too cold, the waiter forgot to place my kid's order. Go figure... In summary, for the price they charge I expect way better quality.

Yes I'm a loyal customer and been so since I moved to Weston from NY 1 year ago. But I'm so upset about my last visit that I had to tell the world. I still love the food, ambience and the waiters, but today I walked in and ask for a both as I do everything time I go there (I had 3 back surgery since 2013 and I need the support) and I was told that they don't seat party of 2 in a both, ( always do it, never had a problem)mind you is Wednesday at 5:40 PM and the place is practically empty. What really piss me off is that no more the 10 minutes later 2 different couples walked in and guess what, they were sat in a both (no reservations).

I live right around the corner from D'Angelo's and thought it was just a pizza place until some friends told me otherwise! Called on Friday evening for a Saturday night reservation, no problem, when we arrived at 8pm, we were seated and I was a little nervous, the restaurant only had a few customers, however, by the time we left, not an empty seat! Our server was awesome! He recommended some wine and even brought me some too taste before ordering...he also brought out a glass of their homemade Sangria, just for feedback...it was delish! We started off with the Antipasto and Buffalo Mozzarella for the table, both were a huge hit! Two of us at the table ordered one of the specials 'Lobster Oreganato'...stuffed main lobster tail cooked to perfection with a side of Pesto Pasta. The pasta was amazing. I took 1/2 home and and hour later dug into it, I was so full but couldn't leave it sitting in the fridge, it was screaming my name! My husband ordered the Filet and enjoyed it. My girlfriend ordered another special, can't recall exactly what it was, a fish dish, and she also enjoyed it. For desert we ordered the Chocolate Mouse Cake...so light and airy! The table next to us ordered a pizza which looked and smelled incredible. My husband and I are planning on returning to try a few more appetizers and pizza...can't wait! Although a bit pricey, I'm glad it's just not a 'pizza place'...perfect for date night!

I came here with my husband for an impromptu date night. We had driven by several times and finally decided to try it. The ambiance with pleasant. A diverse crows was present that night. Our bar render was great had plenty of auggestions and our cocktails were excellent. We decided to eat at the bar and the service was quick. Pizza was good, not the best I've had. A frustratingly disappointing dining experience. My boyfriend and i had been looking forward to trying this place, as good restaurants in Weston aren't exactly plentiful. Boy were we disappointed. Here's the list of things they shockingly managed to get wrong: - the Arancini was an overpriced ball of fried yellow rice with a mere morsel of veal osobucco - Caesar salad was what I'd expect at Olive Garden - I've had better Rigatoni Bolognese in a stouffers TV Dinner (I promise we're not nit-pickers but when many little things add up, an average meal can go from disappointing to frustrating, especially at premium prices) - the chairs screech so loud they interrupt your conversation (the couple next to us was shuddering at the sound) - and finally, the kicker: after being seated for several minutes while one waiter was standing in the corner looking lost, another waitress was slowly (& aimlessly) pacing about. So we flagged her down after several times of making eye contact, and before I could open my mouth, she said "oh I'm not your server!" with the clear intent to keep walking! It couldn't have been more obvious that we were looking for service. The only upside to our dinner was the fact that we could laugh over the plethora of service lapses, training opportunities and easy fixes. God help them if Robert Irvine ever shows up there! So much potential (nice ambiance for a strip mall, interesting menu, extensive wine list) all gone to waste. Go to Mallardi's for ambiance, Bellini for food, vignetto's for Neighborhood charm, even Tarantella for better service)

I've been to d'angelo's since it opened and have never been disappointed. Was there again last night and had the fetuccine bologness. I like to try a different dish whenever I go. Love the lasagna and now love the fettuccine. Pizza is always delicious too. We always save room for the black and white mousse dessert! Amazing! We like the decor too. A contemporary decor but very comfortable too. Servers are great and know the menu well.

Have been for a couple of business lunches and also some family dinners. It's a welcome addition to Weston, which probably biases my view a little. The good: Pizzas are excellent. Desserts are yummy. Most of the dishes are very good, particularly those that are seafood related - but some other meats do miss. The vibe and decor is straight up Miami. The not so good: service is a little hit and miss. It's a little pricey for "small plates." Tables are stacked on top of each other. I'm still going to give the food nod to Acquolina, which is a little more geriatric to be fair. But the grand prize of ambiance + food goes to D'Angelo. Both restaurants serve a positive purpose and that's what counts.

I probably would have given D'Angelo four stars and I'm wondering if the issue is when I went. More on that a little later. Walking into the restaurant you think you're at a nice upscale place on Las Olas. Vibrant and bright with recessed light panels behind shelves of wine bottles. We were there early evening and the place was packed. A nice Italian red blend for $45 was our choice and they had many great wines on the menu. Started off with a cheese plate - love them and D'Angelo does it right. Two meats and two cheeses of our choice accompanied by arugula, artichoke hearts, olives, figs and honey. Delicious but pricey at $20. Our server struggled only briefly when we asked for a recommendation ("I don't eat salami") but recovered nicely when we asked which was the most requested. We split a four white cheese pizza (gorgonzola, taleggia, buffalo and stracchino) with their veal and pecorino cheese meatballs. Thin crust pizza with a wonderful blend of flavors from the cheeses. Extremely good! And the two meatballs were moist, tender and plenty big to share. And it had a lot of extra sauce for dipping your bread. Can't go wrong with cannoli for dessert - though the dessert pizza sounded intriguing. D'Angelo is a great addition to Weston. Okay, we went on a weekend during peak snowbird season so maybe that's why the place was cramped and noisy. But the tables are also right on top of each other. Overall, the food is great and the service is too, so we'll go back in the off season.

We loved our entire experience at D'Angelo's. The interior is small but comfortable and the selections are outstanding. Our server was wonderful and very helpful. He wasn't pushy and would arrive just when it was appropriate. We ordered some small plates for tasting and a flatbread of fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. All was delicious. The only downside is that the location is in a generic strip mall. Other than that, we loved everything.

Weston really needs some more options. There are too many chains and not enough excellent restaurants. My dining party was so not impressed with D'Angelo. The food was incredibly bland with the exception of the gnocchi. The White pizza had no flavor. It just tasted like burnt crust. We had three small plates, two pizzas, one chicken parmesan and some cocktails. For our party of four the bill was over $300. It was so not worth it. $300 for a bunch of carbs and no meat is a lot!

Eat at Casa d'Angelo a lot and love it, so we were excited to try this one. We had the clams and mussels appetizer...could have ordered a couple of more, with more bread and made that dinner! It was that good! We also had the eggplant rollatini and the short ribs...both fantastic! The ricotta cheesecake was almost as good as Casa's. We ate on a Monday night, so wine was 1/2 price, and the wine list is very complete. Looking forward to going back often!!

Great decor inside, if I wasn't specifically looking for the restaurant though, I would never go in as it looks very dreary from the outside. The food is delicious - but entree portions are very small and overpriced. We had calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious. My only gripe is the fact that the entree portion was smaller than the appetizer. Oh, and for dessert I had La Torta de Nonna and it left much to be desired. It was a lemony cake that tasted very artificial and not worth the calories.

Walked on with no reservation but was told wait was only 20 mins. We (table for 2) opted to wait at the bar until a table opened. 45 mins later, we were still waiting while watching a table for 2 right next to us go unoccupied for 15 mins. The maître d stopped by to say 15 minutes(!) more and we pointed out the unoccupied table. He said "oh, you can have that table if you want" WTF?!?! I asked if $20 would cover my martini and my bf's coke. They gladly took my money and we left, to have a delightful dinner at Parc 28 only about 50 FT away, which I highly recommend. Food was AMAZING at Parc 28!!!

My family and I have been here many times- and its always great! The food is very consistent, and outstanding, and the staff is very attentive and welcoming. They have by far, the BEST pizza around- although we also love their pasta (Penne A La Vodka (with shrimp or chicken), and Gnocchi), scallops, fresh fish and amazing short ribs! In fact, I don't think we have ever ordered a dish we didn't like- the chef is awesome. The Stromboli pizza dessert is to die for! My absolute favorite and a must try if you haven't had it. The staff is very friendly- and the manager is great, too! He has checked on us a few times when we ate there. The wait staff is very knowledgeable of the menu, as well as, the wine list. They have recommended many great wines that I would not have ever ordered on my own. My husband has also enjoyed their variety of beers and cocktails. All in all, its a great place for a Sunday Family Dinner, or a date night for the hubby and me. The food is outstanding, with great service, and you can go as cheap or as pricey as you want.... for example, with the family we often order pizza and appetizers, so its relatively inexpensive, or when we have date night, we order more pricey things, like the filet and scallops! Both are great, and I love that we can make it what we want.

I happen to visit this restaurant last week to have dinner and drinks with a couple girlfriends. I'm usually not the "review" type however, I was quite impressed that this was a local place. The modern decor and ambiance makes you feel like you're somewhere other than Weston. The menu was awesome, as well as the wine list. We let the our server help us with selections- and everything he suggested, we loved! I had the Lobster Pesto and it was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back on a date night. It's a great spot and worth the money.

Angelo comes to Weston. He's raised the bar for West Broward and it seems like he got it right. A simple menu with salads, pizzas, pastas, ceviche and appetizers. Six of us tried a variety of dishes-many home runs! We loved the stuffed zuchini blossoms. We tried two pizzas, the salmon pie was just eh. Also had the gnocchi which was outstanding. They have daily specials listed and we tried the Bronzino. Yum. The ceviche looked great and got high marks. Salads were nothing special and would pass on them next time. Dessert was delicious gelato and six spoons. Yummy. The good: the interior is really nice. Excellent service. Quality ingredients. Not so good: the portions are small. The place is noisy and not very intimate. I was shouting to my neighbor. The location is not too exciting, another strip center and sitting outside would not be appealing here. The prices: steep. Take the gold card and a full wallet. The group enjoyed the meal and the new hot spot! Will go back and try other menu items soon.

"YIP! Finally" Weston needed this so badly. The food is ultra fresh. I have eaten there probably 7 or 8 times since it's opening. This is the D'Angelo Family that all Foodies in SoFlo have grown to know and love over the years. The experience shows in the food and attention to detail. The flavors are spot on and everything I have had has been fresh and delish. My Favs: Linguine and Clams- it was perfect. The tiny little clams with the perfect noodle and white brothy sauce. The Sausage and Escarole- perfection. The Stuffed Zuchini Flower, I order a side of tomato sauce for acid, it is really good. Can't say enough about this place. I have never been disappointed. My only reason for 4.5 vs 5 stars is because it is more informal, not a 5 star experience like their other, more formal East-side spot. My only, "I wish this was better" is the bread. I am not a big fan. Would rather have a more toothsome bread that will stand up to a great pasta, this is soft and fluffy and often has a burnt char. That said, litteraly everything else I have ever ordered has been really good. I so with stars came with half options... 4.5 stars.

We went back to D'Angelo now that the weather is a bit cooler, we prefer to sit outside since we have small kids and like to give the diners some peace and quiet. Our server was Rima, she was great! Very attentive to our needs and came back often asking if we needed anything. She even decided that my wife's Calzone was not correct and had the chef make it again. Chef Antonio came out to greet us and personally apologize for the problem We had pizza for the kids (always great), we had the Sea Bass and also the Polpo. Everything was really good. We will be back.

Went to D'Angelo's on a late Sunday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant is very small but has an intimate feeling. The menu is diverse and has a wide variety for any taste (pizzas, tapas, salads, pasta dishes, fishes, meats, veggie plates, etc), enough to please any palate. We had the lobster bisque which was quite delicious (not too fishy or pungent in taste), the spinach gnocci with pine nuts which came adorned in a large bowl and drowning in a thick yet sweet and creamy sauce, and shared a nutella strawberry pizza for dessert which was simply out of this world. The prices were a tad steep for the sizes of each dish, but the tastes were divine. I would return if in the area.

I wanted to give this place at least 4 stars but for what I had you would have thought I was at a Five Star Restaurant! I was gonna do take out but i figured I'm here so ill just stay in bc the vibe seemed very Chill on A Thursday night, I sat at the Bar and was Greeted by Oscar! Who was quite friendly and helpful so ill tell you off the bat he was Excellent and I give him a Five star Rating for Service. But unfortunately his recommendation was somewhat Off Wine and Dessert were on Point but the main Course "Fat Rigatoni" not So much and why You ask well because for $17.00 my Pasta was No where near Al dente and the flavors were just Off!!! If you Ask me its more like a $5.99 dollar plate of Pasta, the Ricotta cheese was very bland not complementing the rest of the Dish so bottom line a very blah dish for to much money$$$$. The Wine was good a Pinot Noir so you cant mess that up and the dessert was a chocolate mousse cake which was Delicious and hit the sweet tooth spot! Ill prob update my review as I return again to try other items on the menu hopefully they wont be disappointing as that pasta dish!

Tried D'angelos last night and every plate we were served was great. Our daughter had pizza and we had the scallops and white bean tapas and linguine bolognese, We shared The cannoli and immediately wanted to order one for each of us its fantastic! The atmosphere is trendy but not noisy and the food is great. Don't be fooled by the strip mall locale if your in the area check it out

D'Angelo is an Italian tapas place. That means the portions for some of the dishes are small. The prices, however are ridiculous for tapas sized portions. They have a specials board on the wall that does not list prices. Be warned, the items towards the bottom are the most expensive. We had the Colorado lamb, and it was $30. The waiter tried to talk me out of it, but didn't have the decency to tell me the price. The food was delicious. The waiters are well trained. Nice modern decor. Clean establishment. My only complaint is there deceptive business practice of not posting prices for the specials. I figured I'd give my fellow Yelper's a fair warning, instead of "bring the gold card", as other reviewers stated.

My boyfriend convinced me to try D'Angelo instead of Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza. Our experience there was enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and the service was decent. The prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella was exceptional. The cheese was so fresh and tasty. I will for sure return to D'Angelo for some more buffalo mozzarella.

The service was good and the food was delicious. Nice little hidden gem in Weston. They make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the place. The pizzas were really tasty and I love the décor inside with the wine bottles. The prices were not too bad, everything was more or less in the $15 range. Definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back soon.

Love love love this place. If you want a more casual yet modern atmosphere, great service, and top notch quality food then this is the place! Four of us tried a few tapas, cheese and meat board, entrees, drinks, desert, etc.....and we loved it all! Not expensive but not cheap! Also a lot of vegetarian options with a few tweaks!

I've been to the restaurant a total of 4 times and each time have been highly disappointed by the hostesses. Each time I have been greeted by either a phony smile and almost condescending attitude, if not by someone who was obviously having a bad day. The restaurant is pricey, but the quality of the food makes up for it as do the well trained, friendly waiters. Its a shame that the raised nosed waitresses ruin the entire experience.

This restaurant is always busy so I was eager to give it a try; I was underwhelmed. The waiter was friendly when he bothered to come by the table, which wasn't often. We ordered an appetizer that was good, but then my salad arrived heavily doused in dressing when I asked for the dressing on the side. My main course arrived a full 10 minutes before my husband's and no one said a word about it as I sat there watching my food get cold. I tried to order lighter items but there aren't many to choose from- almost everything is heavy, heavy, heavy- don't go there if you're trying to stick to a healthy eating plan!! On the plus side, the decor is lovely- it reminded me of London. The gelato bar was fun- the gelato guy let me sample several flavors, so that was a plus. If I go back it will only be for the gelato; I'll skip right over the rest of the menu.

Have been here twice now and I like it so far. Everything I've ordered has been good. Still havent tried pizza yet but im excited to. Hard to find good restaurants in Weston and this place is fun and has some good dishes. Portions are smaller than most Italian places, but I tend to think portions are too big anyway. It's a little pricey, but I haven't been disappointed yet so I will keep returning :)

Went for the first time on a Friday night. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and looked upscale certainly for a strip mall restaurant However for a smaller place it's very very loud inside. We were just a couple and had to talk very loudly just to hear each other all dinner. Service was fair at best. Took a long time to be greeted. Bread came after appetizers. Water even upon request wasnt brought until near end of entree and they only brought one glass. Parm cheese for entree wasnt offered until food half eaten and then only upon request when server had time. Appetizers including a soup and an eqqplant dish were good. Menu overall looked great but I made the mistake of ordering a chicken parm dish that was a "special". Chicken parm is a staple of mine for decades and this one ranks pretty low. It came as a relatively small nearly perfect oval shape reminding me of a frozen patty. It was tough and a bit dry and tasteless. And as a "special" they charged over $20 for it..really? It was one of the higher priced items compared to menu. An Italian restaurant that cant wow on a basic dish like chicken parm and charge around $16 to $17 has work to do. I believe they are new and maybe things will improve, it has potential.

Great food, great service and lots of ambiance. A little pricey but worth it. This is definitely a very upscale pizza and wine bar. A great local place to go to enjoy a meal and glass of fine wine with friends. rhe owner, Angelo, is a perfectionist. I would recommend this restaurant to those with the finer tastes and expectations. Very well done.

I have never been disappointed here. There is something for everyone. Lovely wine selection, great pizzas, fabulous dinner salads, pasta and seafood entrees. Honestly the biggest problem is narrowing it down. The last salad I ordered I shared--it was a delicious Italian board with ratatouille, cold cuts, cheeses, olives, etc. It was to die for. Most of their salads are a very big size--you could have one for dinner. The fruti di mare is especially delicious on a hot summer day. My son especially loves the spicy olive oil they bring for your bread. Tucked away in a shopping mall, it seems rather unassuming, but is a great experience. I wish they would take down the TVs--they are a distraction to an otherwise wonderful experience.

Expensive restaurant with extremely poor service. Food was decent but not worth its prices. Server was rough in bringing plates and silverware, and we could hear 2 servers complaining to each other of how much didn't want to be there We order the chef salad which seemed it was 150 different ingredients tossed together. Pizza was made to order and ok flavor. I dont recommend this place. You might as well eat a sub at Publix

Amazing place! From the outside it doesn't look like much, but it is amazing, the food, the service, the people, great overall crowd! This is great if your looking for a great date night dinner place or to hang out with your friends for a ladies night like I did! The wines are amazing! Loved it !!!

I sat at the bar. Service was prompt and attentive. They have a fine wine list, perhaps I should not be surprised but I am. A Chardonnay from the Veneto was wonderful. A piece of fish for dinner, Bronzino, was prepared perfectly, with a light sauce over spinach nothing special about the presentation. The fish was delicious. Finish with a nice espresso. The servers were quite personable. The ambience was very friendly and energetic. Overall pretty good I would definitely eat here again when in the area. MG.

Hmmm. That guy sitting at one of the tables outside that restaurant in this Weston strip mall looks like A football player from The Dolphins. Oh, because it is. Why is he eating outside in a strip mall? Oh because the food isn't bad, there is a decent wine list, some appetizing tapas, pretty decor, and overpriced cocktails. The place looks good. But not as good as That football player. Pizza seems to be the way to go here as the pasta dishes are mmmmmmeh. Tapas were typical. Wait staff is eager but a little overwhelmed at times. Maybe mr Ex Dolphin got better service. I will ask him next time. Don't think I will be coming back for a while though. Sorry Football dude. It's not you. It's them.

Stick with the pizzas and apps and you'll be fine. Look away from the entrees and specials, there's nothing to see here. Last night was my 4th visit over the last 6 mos and my impression has been consistent. I've gotten typical uninterested service, with overpriced food, in a beautiful (sort of) setting. The main menu items of pizza, panini, salad, meat/cheese plate are fine. Fresh, nicely executed but as everything else, pricey. The specials board is an overly expensive throw back. No creativity, high prices, small portions, no discernable freshness. An example, the short rib was about a 3oz portion over a scoop of forgettable mashed potato and a heavy red wine sauce. Period. Okay at a diner, but expected more finesse at an upscale place run by long time professionals. Again, okay for $12 but not $22. Good wine selection, including by the glass. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy Italians. Someone with talent and passion obviously designed and built the interior. Just beautiful and clean. It is very bright, though, so for God's sake turn the lights down! The location stinks. It's in a dreary strip mall next to an Ace hardware. There are several other strips in Weston which feature great waterfront seating so it's disappointing that the owners would settle for this spot. Our servers have been meh. Friendly enough but not particularly knowledgeable about the menu, and definitely not attentive to the table. My neck hurts from all the times I need to look around to get a water glass refilled. And forget about anyone checking to see how the dishes arrived -- at least not within 10 minutes! Overall disappointing from experienced restaurant ownership. It's fine for a light late night bite or a glass of wine.

Come for the beautiful ambience and the wine selection. Not the food. My friend and I arrived on a Tuesday evening for some wine and tapas. We split the fried zucchini flowers, tomato caprese and sausage with escarole & beans. These items looked freaking delicious, and based on the gorgeous ambience, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Unfortunately, I was. The tomato caprese says it comes with pesto, but only the smallest droplet imaginable was displayed. I immediately giggled to myself when I saw, and asked the waiter for more before I even began eating. The tomato seemed fresh, but the mozzarella was so basic, I knew it HAD to of been purchased at publix, pre-sliced, then dropped on the plate. Overall it was extremely standard. The zucchini flowers HAD to of been frozen. They reminded me of a glorified jalapeño popper that you would get at a TGI Fridays or something of that nature. Good, I will say, but not something I couldn't have gotten elsewhere. I will say, the sausage with escarole and beans was delicious. Mainly the sausage, which was charred a bit and had tons of flavor. Again, the escarole and beans tasted standard. There were cloves of garlic in the dish that weren't cooked properly, and were a bit hard. I will comment however on how BEAUTIFUL the place was inside, and how delicious our wine selection was. We had a great time regardless, and would probably return- just don't expect a culinary experience that will blow your mind (at least with tapas).

A really beautiful atmosphere--very chic looking bar and definitely reminiscent of ultra modern Italian bistros. The menu is primarily based on Tapas, a bit pricey yet delicious. Service was quite good and attentive. The Stratiatelli based chocolate drizzled Stromboli for dessert was totally memorable
