The shrimp and grits is the best in south Florida. Food is great, staff professional. Tucked in the back, but worth the search.

Fabulous new place. Great staff and food was fantastic! My husband had the salmon and I had the shrimp pasta called Lori's Shrimp Americana. Sautéed spinach to die for! Bo took great care of us! We'll be back!

I live 300 yards from this establishment and it is a hidden Jem ! The food is all amazing, especially the pulled pork sliders. If your in the mood for a full sized meal try the stuffed pork chop, simply mouth watering! They have all the beers you would ever want to try. Don't miss out on this place, you won't regret it!!!

Located in the heart of Wellington, Florida, The White Elephant offers an excitement and energy that truly is unmatched. The restaurant's interior creates a coziness that contrasts sharply with the buzz bursting from the dining room. It's the sort of place you'd want to take clients for a great night out and also the kind of spot that would be at the top of our list of places to impress a date. Not all that hungry? An amazing bar area complete with couches to cozy up on awaits, or make your way out to the patio bar. They offer a variety of dishes you likely won't find anywhere else in town. The menu could be beefed up a bit by offering more bar food items. Chicken wings etc. Live music is always happening on the weekend, so go and check it out, you won't be disappointed.

My friends and I stopped by Saturday night just to have a drink. The bartender and manager was so nice. I like craft beer's and they have several to choose from. A sampler wasn't on the menu but they created one for me to try three different selections. My friends and I stayed for appetizers and drinks while enjoying the live music playing. If you are in the Wellington area you need to add this place to your itinerary.

If you're looking for a wide variety of craft beer and absolutely delicious food, this is your place to go! Service is always personable, which only adds to the experience. Try the Nachos from the appetizer...delicious.

Strangely located in an old mall, very limited menu choices. I would not have minded any of the above, but the food was terrible (we ordered a simple salad and the shrimp scampi special) and the beer my husband ordered was flat. Not returning and would definitely not recommend.

Came two Thursdays in a row for karaoke. So much fun. The DJ, patrons, and staff are all so sweet and welcoming. I'll definitely come here again. I don't drink, but everyone was at the bar, so I'm guessing the drinks are good. I have to say, neither myself, nor my six friends were impressed by the food. The entertainment alone is reason to stop by.

Service was Ok at best. This place will never make it. We wanted to leave, but a couple next to us told us the food was great. We went for an app. Mistake. Took forever and wasn't that good.

Went there for dinner last night for the first time. The restaurant was fairly empty so we were seated immediately. Ordered drinks, a classic martini and rum/coke. The waitress came back to ask if my husband wanted his martini straight up or on the rocks. That had us shaking our heads as we've never heard of a martini on the rocks. They also used sweet vermouth instead of dry. He didn't want to send it back as he hadn't specifically said to use dry vermouth, he thought it was implied when he ordered a classic martini. We had the andouille and cream cheese fried wontons as an appetizer. Very good. I ordered the ribeye and my husband ordered the andouille stuffed pork chop. Both were excellent. Steak cooked perfectly medium rare and very tender. Ambience was ok. Music was great until some girl walked over and changed it to country music.

We got a Groupon and headed to the White Elephant, WHICH WAS HARD TO FIND DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS IN THE BACK CORNOR OF A LONG DEAD MALL! That being said, GO THERE, if for the food alone, go there!!!! The place strikes me as a late 20-ish, early 30-Somethng joint. It is likely a great hangout after 10PM for the likes thereof, but we are early eaters, and showed up just before 5PM. As we had a Groupon, we over ordered to get a feel for the menu. EVERYTHING was awesome. I can tell you the worst item on the table were the pork sliders, and judging by how good every other review is claiming they are, should give you an indication of how great the rest of the menu is. Even the mac & cheese our 6 year old got was outrageously good. As for the risotto, I should have just ordered 3 portions of that and a wheel chair to get back to the car. Other than the "back entrance issue" (mall entrance locks up at 9) and the food being slightly upscale in its pricing, we were hard pressed to find any issue with this place and will be back soon.

I went here when it was the Gypsy Horse and wasn't impressed They renovated the place and it looks gorgeous. The outside is more of a bar hangout and the inside is dimly lit, romantic... But fun. The staff are all very attentive and friendly. Lauren makes the best Martinis! The menu isn't huge but it's QUALITY! Their salmon is the best I've ever had. The snapper was amazing too. Karaoke and drinks. Always fun.

This is the first time I've been here. I used to enjoy this place when it was The Gypsy's Horse and was sad when they closed. However, I am glad that I've found The White Elephant. My foodie friend and myself went last night (on a Wednesday) and used a Groupon. We shared the Nachos - which were divine! I had the Pork Chop with Kale Ragu over White Cheddar Grits - AMAZING! I'm actually jealous that my husband gets to have my leftovers today for lunch!!! We also shared the Chocolate Bread Pudding with is a MUST GET!!!!! We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the service was great. My Stella was served in a chalice, which is a must in my opinion. I can't wait to come back with my husband and friends and try some more of their menu options. I, for sure, will get the nachos and bread pudding again. I am also interested to see this place on a busier night like when they have Karaoke! If you are looking for a new place to try, I'd definitely recommend The White Elephant!

This was a weird place seemed kinda of shady. I don't like places were the lights are real low unless it's Ruth Chris or Capital Grille. The beer choices were great if your a beer drinker. The food was mediocre because if you were a drinker it would have been great. Typical bar food no great kick you in the face types of food. I probably will never return. Actually I'm sure of that. Staff were nice b when they were not huddled together talking about the customers.

The Irish Pub that was here was much better. Very limited bar food menu. We ordered a couple of hot appetizer which were cool to warm. Very poor selection of craft beers. Two of our parties were not very cold. Service was good. Not much in the way of decor Mediocre singer on stage.

What a great place with THE BEST staff!!! I recently had my wedding reception at TWE and could not be more impressed with the experience. John, Teresa, Sharon and the rest of the staff took immaculate care of us. They went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. Thank you guys so much for making it a wonderful day for everyone!!!!

My wife and I live in Wellington and have dined here twice. The owner and staff are very attentive and the food was exceptional. If this restaurant was in a different location you would not get a table without a long wait. Great burgers, fresh shrimp and Grits a wide selection of craft beer and a full bar. A hidden gem worth finding

The restaurant bar with a fantastic ambience just not a great atmosphere. The food looks amazing and the drinks are pretty good I just feel they don't do enough to become noticed by the community, not that many events that I know of.

We went on a night that there was an event . For a women's family that had lost her fight with breast cancer. My children actually wound up playing with the children. I ordered the nachos. At first they didn't look like anything much. but they had the pork on them that everyone is talking about. Ill definitely be back to try the pork sandwich. My Margarita was superb! My husband had a curry chicken. Different from what you are use to but delish. The only complaint I have is about the macaroni and cheese my son ordered. It was a large portion. I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't like it he eats everything. It really boiled down to the cheese texture was kind of lumpy. The pizza my daughter ordered was excellent. Brandy and Grace were very attentive to our needs. Thank you we will be coming back to try another menu item.

This is my new favorite hangout in Wellington. Amazing food and great craft beer that pairs so well. A definite must. Check back often as menu seems to be changing. Not a bad thing on the menu. Also rotating taps of some great local beers and some special ones.

The food we ordered was great but the menu is very small at the moment. They said they are going to switch to a new menu next week so be warned that you may have very limited options. With that being said everything tasted great and seemed freshly prepared. We look forward to returning and trying the new menu.

Me and my wife went with another couple to new grand opening.staff was not prepared at all.went to bar for drinks while waiting on table.15 minutes before order was taken.waited 1 hour for dinners to arrive.waiter was nice and apologized numerous times.would not accept $60 groupon.told us would take off 20% from bill.brisket sandwiches were nothing special, crispy cod was not crispy, salmon was raw.bill arrived without 20% off.we did not know it was a grand opening when we arrived, it seems neither did the new owner or staff.

Horrible food and service! Raw pork chop, bland mash, curry has no flavor and the list goes on. Drunk bar guests with karaoke going on so not a family friendly place. This is just a hole in the wall dive bar trying to be a restaurant. It's not going to make it.

I've eaten here numerous times and have definitely seen a steady increase in the food quality as well as the service. It used to take upwards of 45 minutes for an entree to reach your table and now the wait for your dinner is significantly less. Also, the specials that have been featured the last few times I've been we're incredible! A shrimp fajita flatbread, as well as a crab topped wahoo! I had the dishes on two separate occasions and they were incredible! Really excited to see this place on the up and up!

We've been coming to this "spot" for 15 years. Lots of different restaurants and by far the "new" White Elephant is my favorite. Nice, upscale bar food. Ambiance is terrific, decor lovely, staff helpful ( esp. Blue hair waitress).
