Please worst ever. Grouper, (Maybe, not real Grouper)soaked in butter This place will be out of business in year. Not crowded on Sat Night. My friends liked it better than me. Shrimp cocktail awesome. Overall not worth it.

Here are the things we enjoyed during our first dinner at this restaurant. -the service throughout our meal was exceptional. The hostess was perfect in seating us quickly and well. Our servers were delightful. The manager came by to make sure the food was to our liking. -the room is thoughtfully decorated and quiet enough to hold a conversation. The outside dining area on a beautiful warm night was full and would have been delightful if Seahorse did not allow smoking. -the crab cake is without doubt the best we have ever had and is a must try appetizer. I would make it my main on another night. We split on our view of other dishes. My tuna tartare appetizer was not well flavored bland tuna salad on potato chips. My other dish of steamed clams were small, rubbery and were bland beyond having any essential clam flavor. My dining companion enjoyed her soft shell crab roll without much comment. -there is little to like about the pricing. Dishes are uniformly priced high and particularly so given the unexceptional nature of most of the food. Some of the pricing defies logic. Wine prices are way over the top. Specials were also offered at an eye watering level. We could tell that Seahorse could be a good restaurant and it was disappointing to see it drag itself down to unexceptional except for the crab cake and solid service.

Wellington could use a good seafood restaurant, and with The Seahorse it has one. The seafood (except the oysters) overall is delicious and creative; original seasonings and great plating. The flounder I had was great. The wine list is ok, but not exceptional and if I'm paying more than $50 a bottle of white I'd like to see a sommelier and not an 18 year old pretty girl fidgeting with the cork for 20 mins. The place is trendily decorated, but to have on a Friday night in season only half of the tables filled and by nine be done... I'm not sure Seahorse will be around much longer. All in all great food but be prepared to pay more than you expect.

We had an exceptional experience Friday evening for dinner. My husband made reservations for 7:00, we were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered drinks from the bar menu. The Moscow Mule.. drink was good, a little strong for my taste. They have a special for $35 ypu pick a soup, salad, entree and desert. We were able to upgrade the entree and desert for an additional fee as the desert is a gelato othereise. I ordered the crab cakes with risotto, which was the best crab cake I have had in years. Clam chowder soup, salad and blueberry bread pudding with real cream.. yummy. Hubby ordered bacon wrapped scallops. Which were also amazing. The strawberry cheesecake is definitely homemade and full of creamy flavor. This is definitely going to be our new weekly place to go. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended!!!

Really great service and the atmosphere is fun. Gorgeous fish tank as you walk in, comfortable outside seating, music, and a bar. Really amazing food nothing is bad on this menu even if you aren't into seafood! Excellent overall great for all ages definitely will keep coming back!

HALF OFF OYSTERS on TUESDAYS! WOO HOO!!! They have a nice selection of different oysters and they were all delicious. Yes this place is a little overpriced. I went for lunch and my cobb salad was close to $15 (I think?) and it was not even that big. For me, the only reason to come back here is for the great deal on oysters. You will not find good quality raw oysters anywhere else in the area and especially not for that price.

Been to to this place a few times. The food has been consistently excellent. You can tell it's well managed. . It's nice to have a downtown cosmopolitan restaurant in wellington. You won't have a bad meal here. Try the ceviché

The food was great and the service was amazing! My husband got the surf and turf and I got the salmon. Somehow they found out we were there for our wedding anniversary and they brought out some dessert on the house. It felt like we were family. The only thing I found wrong was that the prices were too high for what we were getting. The food was great but definitely over priced.

Having had a fantastic experience at the sister restaurant, Oli's Fashion Cuisine, on the same block, I had high expectations for The Seahorse. When we arrived at the restaurant, I noticed that there were not many there, but I assumed that it could be due to the fact that the restaurant is seasonal or that it was a Sunday night. The decor was fantastic! I hear seahorses are difficult to keep alive and there were multiple in the aquarium at the front of the restaurant. There was an inviting, aquatic feel to the restaurant and the kids loved it! Unfortunately, those were the best qualities of the restaurant. Between the five of us, we ordered the fried calamari, the beef ta-ta, the tuna steak, the seabass, and the kids sliders and chicken fingers. As far as appetizers go, they were decent. The fried calamari was pretty good, but I can't give a restaurant good food reviews based solely on something as simple as calamari. The beef ta-ta was way too salty due to the overuse of capers, while the seabass lacked almost all flavor. The seabass was dry and unimpressive, aided in no way by the tasteless mushrooms or greens on the side, both of which could've come from cans. On the bright side, the mashed potatoes that accompanied the tuna steak were pretty good and the plate looked pretty; however, the tuna itself was flavorless and disappointing. At least that wasn't overcooked! I can't say the same for the kids sliders; the buns were slightly burnt and immediately deemed inedible by a five year old. The kids chicken fingers were eaten but the plate was way too large for a three year old child, consisting of more food than any of the adult plates. Neither child complained about the French fries, so theres a plus. As far as service is concerned, I have no complaints. The waitress was friendly, present, knowledgable, and helpful. She explained the menu and even arranged for chocolate milk to be made for the kids. The service was quick and effortless, so there's a thumbs up for that. I wouldn't necessarily not recommend the restaurant to others because the eating experience was decent, but the food needs some serious tweaking.

Saw a bunch of good reviews on other sites about this place. We were a party of 7 and ordered two of their Seafood Towers that was $75 a piece. We were extremely disappointed and felt ripped off! Only two shrimp on each one 8 Oysters and a couple of pieces of Crab legs and half of a very small Lobster all for a whopping $75. The Oysters were old and did not taste good. Our Mother in law had fish that was very dry and over cooked. I was so mad that I called the manager and asked him what was on a Tower and he said more than two shrimp and more than what we got and paid for. He offered to make it right but honestly no one wants to go back. Very disappointed and spent $400 there. The service was also very slow with barely anyone there. TERRIBLE experience.

I'm rating 4 stars because of the quality of the food, however it is very expensive. The biggest problem is that the only non-seafood offering is Filet Mignon at $45. I'm not sure how often I would go back. If I factor in the cost, the rating might go down to a 2 stars. I started with the seafood chowder which was a velvety smooth cream based chowder. Very good. They should have offered fresh ground pepper with it. My entree was fish and chips . The grouper had a nice seasoned light batter with a bit of a spicy kick to it. The french fires were very crispy and delicious. The hearts of palm slaw was crisp and fresh. Overall a wonderful light fare. But Fish and Chips for $27? Yikes! My wife (the non-seafood eater) had, of course, the Filet Mignon. It was good. The beef tasted like it might have been aged. Although several sauces are available on the menu they are targeted for seafood. There was no Bearnaise or Bordelaise sauce, for example, for the steak. It was not worth $45. The wine list provided a nice variety of quality wines, but the wine menu did not show the vintage years. The prices were, again, exorbitant being roughly 3 times the retail price vs. the more common markup of 2X. If The Seahorse knocked their prices down by 20-30% and offered a chicken dish for my wife, we would be regulars. After all we live in the neighborhood. But for these prices I would rather go eat at the one of the established quality restaurants on Palm Beach Island.
