Breakfast at Steve's. Love it. i'm a breakfast guy and I simply love good diners that put out a great breakfast at a reasonable price. Steve's is that place. A great place to stop before you head on over to Playalinda Beach or the Kennedy Space Center. Titusville is a sleepy little town and hard to find good places to eat, but this little place for breakfast is really one of my favorites. Two eggs over medium, sausage patties(well done), home fries, biscuits, gravy and coffee. All cooked just right, every single time! Ask for Steve. He'll sit ya right down and the service is excellent.

Steve's Family Diner offers an extensive menu - four solid pages of food choices plus a specials board with 20-30 specials. As far as diners go, this has a great menu. A lot of it is typical diner fare. Breakfasts, fried chicken. Burgers, salads, soups, lots of desserts. There are some selections which are out of the ordinary. My dad is a WWII vet, and was surprised to see that they offer creamed chip beef on toast every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before 11:50 AM. He was happy with this selection. I went with an interesting concoction where they cut a pineapple in half, fill it with chicken salad, walnuts, plus lettuce and tomatoes on the side. Huge meal. Relatively healthy.

My fiancé and I went in there yesterday around 3:45. My chefs salad was perfect. His Philly was good but the fries were totally burnt. There was not really anyone else there at the time. I've been there before for breakfast and liked it. Worth a shot of trying out but I don't think I'll be going back.

Visited this restaurant for breakfast for the first time today. Decided to try this one based on other reviews. We enjoyed eating here very much. The restaurant could use some updating, bur the food was very good. The omelette, pancakes, grits, bacon and biscuits were all good. The coffee was some of the best I have had. The servers and bus staff were all very friendly. We were seated immediately and received attention right away. The food came fast and hot. This will definitely be a place we eat at again.

I have been here a couple of times, and liked it both times. Service is very friendly and attentive, and the food was good too. I got the eggplant parm, and then the grilled haddock. Both were great. I would recommend them over other other diners.

Great Service , yummy main food but bad side dishes. The fried chicken is best I ever had.

The food was amazing. I got the Philly Cheese steak and it tasted so close to an original Philly. It was cheesy and buttery and loaded messy, meaning more meat and fillings then bread. For dessert I got Baklava, that was so good. My husband got the chicken salad with grilled chicken. It was yummy, but didn't hit the spot for me like the Philly did. We were served promptly and seated as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was so awesome and cheerful. Really made our time awesome. Then before we left another waitress brought our toddlers some lollipops. That was so nice of them, as a lot of places just ignore the kids. Definitely recommend this place for awesome food and service.

Definitely a local favorite, stopped in for breakfast we were greeted immediately and seated at very clean two top by a really friendly employee. There was plenty of room around the table sometimes these type of places can try and fit a few to many tables into the space this is not the case here. (Note the chairs have wheels so pay attention they can skate out from under you). Our server showed up with a smile and immediately took our drink order she delivered our coffee and two small glasses of ice water with straws. The breakfast menu is pretty simple so we didn't need much time to place our order. As busy as they were the food showed up a lot faster than I would of thought and everything was exactly as ordered and was fresh and hot. This place provides the best breakfast option in the area that I've found. I would returned based on the service and food selections.

We were in Titusville for the weekend and missed the hotel breakfast so decided to stop into Steve's for a late breakfast on a Saturday. It certainly doesn't look like anything special from the outside but sometimes those are the best places. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich which came with home fries. You could chose the type of meat you wanted on the sandwich and I went with sausage. The sandwich arrived and it was huge, hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the home fries as they also tasted home made and although I'm sure this breakfast was no where near healthy, it didn't taste greasy. I also had a bite of the spinach omelet, which was also delicious, huge, and had tons of spinach in it. The service here was very friendly, and you could tell they have customers that have been coming for years. The prices were very reasonable. I'm not sure when I will make it to the area again, but if and when I do I will certainly make a stop here. Since we were a little late on breakfast some around were ordering lunch and the fried chicken looked like a must try.

Didn't even get a chance to order.... Sat for 10 minutes without being approached by a waitress...... Completely ignored, didn't even acknowledge is leaving...

It works. Titusville is exactly the sort of place that should have a diner, and this is exactly the kind of diner I'd expect in Titusville. There is an astronaut theme going on. I like this, in that astronautting is the sort of thing that requires a lot of science. Science would be the best religion in the world if it were, in fact, a religion. But science is not a religion; it is something higher and more useful, and though there's a picture of Magical Skyfriend Jesus at Steve's, there are more pictures of astronauts and space shuttles. Like in the real world, even religious folk must recognize the supremacy of science over religion, because without science, we would all be praying feverishly in our leaking thatch huts for God to take away the tuberculosis. So then, yes, I appreciate the images of astronauts, space shuttles, and launch pads. I also liked the food. I suppose if you're on Yelp, the food is more important than all my various belief-y claptrap. Ok, well... I would suggest an omelet if you're trying to fill the ol' belly. They are pretty large and reasonable at about $8. I also suggest the home fries over the hash browns: the former are substantial, the latter are those string-a-lings of potato. I did not have the gyro, but a friend did, and I believe it to have been the best item on the table. The coffee, also, was good in my opinion. I always enjoy diner coffee for some reason, and Steve's was no exception. The portions are not overwhelming, nor are the prices. I guess that's a good balance. It's not a steal, but a good way to augment various bodily functions such as hunger suppression and hangover reduction.

Absolutely, perfectly 100% middle-of-the-road diner fare for the hungry rocket launch viewer. Now, believe me when I say that I'm not making any particular complaints here; I'm just laying it out for you. The diner, inside and out, doesn't seem to have been updated since 1972. Thick wooden tables with shells and glitter embedded in inch-thick plastic, chairs straight out of a nursing home, hanging stained glass lamps straight out of your grandmother's dining room, the whole nine yards. I ordered lunch (specifically the French Dip), and as I said, it was perfectly acceptably average. I have a feeling that the breakfasts are the big draw here. Those of us that ordered breakfast were happier than those of us that ordered lunch. Prices are good, I believe my sandwich was $7.29 or so.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I have family who recently moved to Titusville, and they wanted to try this place out. It looked sort of cute from the outside, but the inside was very dated and had carpeted floors. However, it was decently clean so I was willing to give it a try. We all ended up getting gryo's, a spinach pie, baklava, and possibly scrambled eggs or something. It was really good! The gyro meat was excellent and the spinach pie, while different than what I've had before, was also very good! All the food came out hot and delicious. The pitas were not heated and I don't think were prepared on site, but otherwise I really liked everything. Our server was nice and a bit scattered, but she was replaced part way through with a different waitress who was on top of everything. A man (possibly the owner, Steve?) was present and he seemed very nice and like he was interested in making sure we were happy with everything. The prices were also very reasonable. Overall, it was a fun and tasty experience. It was very retro, but I enjoyed myself and I think I will come back when I want that traditional "diner" experience again.

I've eaten at Diners across the US but this place rocks big time, man!! It doesn't have a grungy feel but a very welcoming one - and the staff receive you as if your're some long lost family member. On my way to KSC my wife and I had lunch there today and it was superb - the beef stroganoff was better than I have ever tasted and the chopped sirloin had a succulent flavor that was hard to beat. The portions were very satisfying and their homemade dips went very well with our onion rings - and the couple slices of homemade bread I had was yeasty and filling.A total winner of palace and I do hope to visit them again in the very near future.

Stopped in for breakfast and got eggs, corned beef hash and home fries. It was all excellent, especially with Steve's own brand of hot sauce. The home fries were particularly good, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The biscuit was on the dry and flaky side, but still OK. The atmosphere is very Old Florida, and the service is nothing fancy, but Steve's remains a good, solid choice for breakfast.

Sirloin Steak dinner awesome with 2 sides. Dont miss the FRIED CHICKEN. Don't come at dinner hour, it will take a little longer to get your food. Been coming here for years. Locals love this place! Friendly staff! You will not leave hungry!

Good Food and family staff.. My wife says the fried chicken and cole slow where excellent! I had a medium Jack Daniels sirloin, that was tasty and tender like butter... Place could use some sprucing up, but overall good and reasonable on the wallet!

Good home cooking. Don't expect more. Grits are good. Steve will not do anything other than what the menu says....don't even bother to ask (IE: Veggie omelet is what he wants you to have, no switches). Service is good, prices are decent. This is one of the best places in the area for breakfast.

My family and I have been so Steve's more times than I can count. We are never disappointed with our food selections. One of my favorites is the fried chicken. So good! The servings are generous and affordable, and the customer service there is outstanding. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeted. The staff is friendly, genuinely happy, and very attentive. I have seen the owner every time I've gone in, and he is always conversing with his customers. I can honestly say, this is my go-to restaurant when i'm not sure what I want, and I just want to eat good, without worrying if the waitress or cook staff will be hit or miss.

We've been to Steve's for breakfast 3 days in a row. This place is one amazing greasy spoon. The service is cheerful and attentive. The food is prepared quickly and consistently. We've been eating out way across the menu and we haven't been disappointed yet! The blueberry pancakes are delicious with tons of plump blueberries. I wasn't that into the biscuit because it was a little too fluffy (probably didn't have enough lard). My fiancé said "I thought the biscuit was okay--for Florida." The prices were reasonable, and the portions were huge. Two of the days, we split a breakfast special (for about 8 bucks) and walked out satisfied. Our fave was the Italian sausage. Wow. Out 5 year old loved the pancakes, French toast, and waffles--his 3 day breakfast tour at Steve's. We've heard great things about the dinners and fried chicken, but we haven't tried them. Yet. If you're in Titusville check this place out. We're going to be back for sure.

Went to eat here on a Sunday it was crowded. This place is great with the locals but menu selection and feeling as if I was cramped made me give it three stars.

Stopped at this diner by chance since it was lunchtime and few open restaurants in the area. It is hard to tell from the outside what pleasant surprise I had with the food. The decor is a bit old but the waitress was super friendly and recommended the fried chicken which is their specialty. It was worth the stop. The best fried chicken I have ever eaten. It was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, flavorful and not greasy at all. :-). They have a large selection of sides and I chose the mashed potatoes with sautéed mushrooms. Another wonderful surprise. The waitress then brought a sampling of their coleslaw which is another specialty. Well I did not believe it until I tried it. How good can they actually make coleslaw. Well they have a sweet flavor to it which is great. I highly recommend this simple diner to anyone driving through.

First off, let me say we just recently moved to Titusville and have only been to Steve's 5 times including last night. The first 4 times were all for breakfast and those visits were FANTASTIC! Food was great! Service was great! Everything was great...(thats why the higher rating review) but we feel this last experience must be told. Since all of our experiences were breakfast last night my wife and I decided to try Steve's for diner. I'm sorry to say the experience for diner was NOTHING like the previous visits. Now some may say "Well 1 bad visit isn't so bad" but it was SO bad if this had been our FIRST visit to Steve's it would be safe to say we would probably never go back. They were extremely busy as usual, but we were seated and drink order taken, and received, rather quickly. With our dinners my wife and I both received a bowl of their cole slaw. Now, when we were seated we mentioned how there was not any silverware on the table which the waitress said she would be right back with some. Then the cole slaw was served and we again, asked for silverware and got the same response from the waitress. We finally started to use my wife's spoon she had gotten with her tea to eat the cole slaw. After both of us being almost done with that I 'motioned' to the waitress and she then brought some silverware over. When our dinners arrived my wife brought it to the waitresses attention she did not get the side of fries she had ordered and was told she would be right back with them and was told she would also bring out some bread to make up for the silverware and fries issue. Over the course of the dinner we never received any bread. Once we finally completed our meals and the waitress shows up to give us our check my wife points out again how she did not receive her fries the waitress apologizes and says she'll be right back. She then comes back with this plate of fries and put it on the table and says "There ya go" and walks off. Now, all of our plates are empty, our drink glasses are empty and she's dropped off the check and NOW wants to drop off food that my wife did not get to eat with her meal?? So we asked for a box for the fries and the waitress says "To let her know when we go up to pay the bill and she will come up there to 'help us out'...we thought MAYBE something being taken off the bill to make up for the no silverware, no promised bread and no fries till AFTER dinner. My wife goes to pay the bill, the waitress simply hands her the bill and says 'Thank you' and walks off. No apologies, no here let me make this up to you, nothing. Now, will we be back to Steve's, probably. Will it be for dinner, probably not.

I Was in the area doing some antique shopping. Because of the good reviews on yelp me and a friend decided to stop there for lunch. Every review was so gung ho about the fried chicken so I just had to order it. This was the best fried chicken I have ever had. The portion is huge, I took most of it home. I ordered the side of coleslaw because the reviews for the coleslaw were excellent as well, however I found the coleslaw to be too sweet for me. My friend ordered the breaded haddock, it was very good as well. I would definitely go back and bring the whole family for wonderful meal.

Very affordable food. We ate there for breakfast and glad we did. We got huge pancakes, eggs, sausage and hashbrowns for about $4! Everything tasted homemade. There's a lot of old-fashioned decor that probably needs to be dusted, but it's like visiting grandma's house or something. The service was good and knowledgeable about the town. Seems like all the locals eat here on a very regular basis.

Steve's Diner is the epitome of home cooking, mom and pop run restaurant. We loved this place! Everything is homemade...the fried chicken is a must try. They make it to order so take about 25min but well worth it. Light batter and chicken is juicy inside. Loved it! I think the owner must be greek because they make alot of authentic greek desserts on the menu like baklava of which I took 2 pieces home. Thought about taking some of the other homemade desserts with me as well but thought I better not. We also tried the spinach pie which was fantastic. Also comes with a light greek salad. I had the mashed potatoes with my chicken and the gravy was excellent. Even the bread they serve was awesome homemade goodness. I hope that family owned places like this are not hurt with the end of the Space Shuttle program because it would be a shame. Try it, you'll love it!

I don't like giving bad reviews but my husband and i went here last night because everyone said how great this place is. And it got great reviews. The employees were nice but i the got fried chicken meal and my husband got the jack Daniels steak meal. Not good, our first impression on the building was the place looks like it needs help. And smelled funny, but we stayed thinking it would be worth it to try the food because everyone says its great. So our food comes and I have to admit the fried chicken was awesome I loved it, but my husbands steak was all fat and gross both our mash potatoes taste like it was from a box and runny no flavor at all, the green beans taste like right out of a can no seasoning. Maybe the other food on the menu is better then what we had or they might have has a bad night but we didn't have a good first time here and probably won't be coming back.

What's better than getting up at the crack of dawn to watch the VERY LAST landing of the space shuttle program and then sitting down to a fresh, delicious, homemade breakfast? Steve's did not disappoint and the food was yummy and filling. The pancakes are humongous! The country fried steak and scrambled eggs sat just right with me. And the waitress, while completely overloaded with tables to turn, was friendly and really attentive to us. I hope that with the loss of the shuttle program that people won't forget about Steve's. Looks to be a family run business. Would definitely go there again.

  • Mitch L.

3.......2.....1......Blast off.....Now let's eat!!!!!! A local told me to eat here after the shuttle took off. I did and I was very satisfied. I had the fried flounder and it was very good. It was not gourmet food just good comfort food like a diner. The owner is Greek I think. Nice place....you won't go wrong here!!

I've been to Steve's more than a few times, and have always had a great experience. This is not a pretentious restaurant to say the least. Just good down home cooking. The wait staff is very friendly, and have been there for years. The food is good and inexpensive. Portion sizes are huge.
