Never had a better experience at an Outback. My husband and I had some gift cards to blow and we wanted to try a different location. We live closer to the Outback on Dale Mabry but the parking there is always AWFUL because it's in a small strip mall and we always have to wait like 45 minutes on a Friday/Saturday night for a table, so we decided to try a new one. Plenty of parking here and had we decided to sit at a regular table it would have only been a few minutes wait, but we ended up sitting at the bar when we went over there for a drink and decided to stay to watch the Rays game. Larry and Katie at the bar are AWESOME. Got superb service from them, our glasses were never empty and they were just fun to talk to. My steak was cooked almost perfectly and was very tasty, I was rather impressed. I'm that kind of person that always puts A1 on my steak and this one didn't even need it. We don't go to chain restaurants super often, but next time we are in the mood this will definitely be our new Outback.

I had a dinner date with a friend and she suggested Cazador Grill for some Peruvian food. It was both our first times here. It is located on 56th street (same plaza as Naga Tea). We arrived around 5:30pm. Since it was right after work, we were the only people in the restaurant. As others have noted, the place is kind of long and big so a little awkward but we sat in a booth in the front. The server was a young gentlemen who was very casual and friendly. You get 1 free large fountain drink with Yelp check-in! Since I don't drink soda, he gave me Chicha morada - Peruvian purple corn drink. It was very unique and sweet but I couldn't really drink much more than a couple of sips. Sidenote- their cups are huge! So it takes me a long time to decide on what to order at every place I go because to be honest I want to order everything! I decided on the Picanha (Brazilian) grilled top sirloin steak which comes with their house salad and one side. I choose their pastel de papa (potato cake with cream sauce). This was like a potato lasagna. I enjoyed this (I don't like potatoes in general so I was surprised I ordered this). One word to describe the steak ~ JUICY! It was cooked perfectly (I like my steak medium rare) and was flavorful, seasoned well. This wasn't just a regular steak! The dish came with two awesome sauces (I don't remember the names) but one looked like a chimichurri (so delicious) and the other was a creamy sauce. The server said I could ask for more sauce too! My friend ordered the Lomo Saltado ~ sauteed meat with onions, tomatoes, and peppers, fries and side of white rice. Usually the fries are mixed together with everything else but the server mentioned this and my friend asked for this on the side. Her dish smelled and looked delicious and saucy. I have a personal preference for saucy things with rice. She also got a side of fried yucca which she didn't finish. I took a bite of one and it was dry. I would pass on this next time. I really liked that the server was very informed about the menu and would give us suggestions (even though he was a vegetarian!). The atmosphere is casual and the service was good. Portions were large and the prices weren't unreasonable. The place is unique and there is just something that makes me want to come back again! Try something different! I'm glad we had Peruvian for a change!
I have revisited this restaurant 4 times. I have decided to give the update. This definitely the Peruvian restaurant that is expert with grilled meat. The dishes I like are the Falda, Picanha, Lomo de Cerdo. Several people of my friend have tried their ribs and they like it. If you come with a group of three, you can order the mix grill platter to share and you will have a chance for each type of meat. The Picanha is a bit salty but the marinated spice is well done into the meat. The best dish is still the Falda. They have the lunch special now use 10 to 12 dollars. I like the full portion better. The Chicha Morada is improving from my previous visit. The trick is telling them not to put too much ice in the cup before they pour it. The taste will be more Peruvian bean taste when they did that.
Outstanding!!! The owner is very friendly and lively. The food is outstanding and very well priced. This place is a must!!!

Great food awesome atmosphere. Get the wings or oysters! The prices are average and the service is awesome. Lots of sports on all the tvs and big screen. We'll be back !
We stopped by on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It was quite at the time, but Paula, our waitress (who was great by the way) said they were expecting a crowd later since football season was starting. This would be a great place to go have a few beers and sit and watch sporting events with your friends. I had the Reuben which I really enjoyed. My boyfriend had the hamburger with a side of their mashed potatoes which for a pub with surprisingly good! I'm would get these rather than French fries, they were tasty. I see no reason why we wouldn't stop by again if we were in the area.
Got the Shepherd's Pie. Strangest Shepherd's Pie ever. It had cheddar cheese on the top, it was sort of runny and greasy underneath, and was pretty skimpy on both the veg and the potatoes - which weren't particularly "mashed" potatoes. It wasn't *bad*, but it wasn't particularly *good*, either, and weird on top of that.

I love Savvy Jack's! I've visited Savvy Jack's many times with my friends and each time the food was amazing. I usually get a vegetable crepe, but today I visited with a friend to celebrate my birthday and we decided to try the salmon crepe. Both kinds of crepes are delicious! The crepes are nicely filled; they don't skimp on the ingredients. I agree with the previous reviewer -- the bechamel sauce really makes a difference. I also tried the apple and brie quiche, which was tasty as well. The crepe and quiche both came with a choice of sides - in our case fruit salad and potato salad. The atmosphere is really charming. This isn't a fancy, upscale French restaurant. Instead, the restaurant has a lovely, warm country inn feel to it. The tables are decorated with rustic cloths and the walls are painted in warm colors. It looks very quaint and is a very relaxing place. The wait staff is friendly and service is prompt. The food is well-priced (great for my friends and I, who are poor graduate students!) I really don't have anything bad to say about the restaurant. It's a wonderful little hidden gem. It's a great place to visit with friends, to share good conversation and a delicious meal. But I'd also be very comfortable visiting the restaurant alone. It's a nice, cozy place :) Visit it!
If there was an option of no stars that's what I would give Savvy Jack's Southern. I am not usually one to write bad reviews, but I feel that, as a public service, I need to let people know about how horrible of restaurant this is. The service was horrible: My group of three arrived for midday lunch and waited over 40 minutes for our food. Half way through our wait the waitress completely forgot us about (there were only four other people in the restaurant) and asked if we had received our checks when we still hadn't received our food. The food was worse than the service: Two of us ordered a biscuits and gravy platter which included eggs, meat, and home fries or grits. After waiting 40 minutes nothing was hot. The biscuits were extremely stale (refrigerated biscuits would have been better) and I am not even sure what the gravy was - it looked like reconstituted white goop. The eggs were not properly cooked and my plate was missing the side of home fries. After telling the waitress about the missing home fries she returned with hash browns (as they were out of home fries) that were burnt on the outside and raw in the center. The waitress attempted to remedy the situation by offering free dessert, but if the main course was so disgusting I am sure the dessert wouldn't have been much better. Usually a restaurants food excuses their horrible service, but after waiting 40 minutes for something that should have taken 15, it was just a slap to the face. Residents of Tampa you are better off saving your money and eating at home or going through the drive-thru at McDonald's.
My young daughter and I ate here for breakfast. The food was good and fresh, the server was very nice (she may have been the owner.) They made a Mickey Mouse pancake for my daughter with whipped cream and chocolate chips (she asked first) and my daughter loved it, they even gave her extra so she could add her own touch to the mickey mouse.

Excellent choices and service. This Spanish restaurant was very nice from the time we arrived through an enjoyable dinner. The waiter was just the right amount of attentiveness and the food was especially good. Salads, seafood and chicken were all excellent. Also props to the manager, who apologized for the wait when we arrived - even though the "wait"'was less than a minute. Would definitely eat here again.
My aunt wanted us to try Cafe Don Jose but it just wasnt hitting any marks. Bland food, Croquettas were like hush puppies, and the server laughed when we asked her to remove the Sangria and kept saying you guys are funny. I dont drink but my family said it had powdered cinnamon and wouldnt touch it. I just dont want to be too negative so I will leave it at this =/
A coworker and I were training in Tampa and decided to try this place. I'm so glad we did. We went for a late happy hour and dinner and we were so pleased. The place wasn't packed so we sat at the bar to relax. The regulars were so friendly and Dominique the bartender was lovely. We had tapas since they were on special do we got to try a little bit of everything. It was all amazing!

Took my two children here late on a Sunday night. Receiced a warm and friendly welcome by all of the staff and the owners. There are a few picnic tables by the river if you would like to eat outside. The interior is very nice, classy and clean family atmospher. The food blew us away. I had a cuban sandwhich which was to die for. I was so surprised as I'd never been before and I guess I expected the usual. Love the fries! One of my boys got a beef Kabob sandwhich and I could not believe that he actually ate the onions and peppers! Thanks Zaki! And the chicken strips that my youngest were hand breaded and he said they were delicious. We got a ton of food for very reasonable prices. I usually am too busy to write this stuff but I felt they definatley deserved a rave re view. They also have steaks and fresh pastries. A MUST TRY!! ps: big breakfasts on menu with great prices, all day breakfast. This is hopefully going to be the next thing I try there. Good eats.
Did a gyro for take-out and I sincerely wonder if they even knew they ran a Greek restaurant. First of all, it took over 20 minutes and the place was EMPTY at noon (yeah, first clue). The gyro was chips and chunks of dried out meat, very little tzatziki and about as bankrupt on quality as the Greek economy. I usually give a place three trys.. but not this one, not even for free.
Cute place for a quick bite to eat. The staff was super sweet. The drive thru is convinent. It's on the Hillsborough River, and has a picnic table on the river side. The table makes for a cute picnic. Never really super busy and it is a decent option when you aren't feeling like pizza, Chinese or McDonald's.

Called to order their online menu special only to be informed that they raised the price seemed like he didn't want to honor the advertised price
Let's start with the food. My wife and I have tried the Madonna and Margherita pizzas so far and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Lots of flavor, ingredients/toppings tasted and looked fresh. The service is friendly and quick; we only waited about 10 minutes for two medium pizzas and the cashier was quite welcoming for how busy they were, their phone was ringing off the hook. They also deliver and are very reasonably priced. Their amosphere is the main turn off for me; they have some booths for dining in but the space they are in is quite small and it gets VERY warm inside. I'm not sure they have central air conditioning to boot. The plaza they are located in is also unkempt and littered with pan-handlers, not that there is anything the restaurant could really do about it. All in all, an excellent neighborhood pizza place with good food at a great price. I would just recommend ordering carry-out or delivery for comfort sake.
Got a large pepperoni and order of garlic knots. The pizza was pretty good. Better than the regular chain places. The garlic knots were the only thing bad. They were doughy and not flavorful.

We went there for breakfast.. First time there.. The service was unfriendly and the food was ok.. I asked for over easy eggs and they came out fully cooked.. She nevwr came back to ask how it was so i ate them.. They were to busy fighting about tables and who had what.. The only thing that was good was the coffee.. Sorry but will never go back
My wife and I went here on 7/3/2015 around noon and if I had a word to describe the event was disastrous. It was fairly busy as you would expect for a Friday before a holiday weekend that a lot of people take off. We went inside and saw no one available to take our name or seat us so we had to wait for a bit, that was the least of the issues. We ordered our food which was a steak omelet and bacon and eggs, nothing to elaborate or special about it. We waited for over 20 mins until the waitress comes over and said it will be another 15 mins, so I put her on the clock, if it took more than 15 we were leaving because we were starving. So 15 mins later we get the food. The omelet was flat and cold with as much cold shredded cheese on it as the omelet was tall. Also my wife's breakfast was stone cold as well with hash browns that were basically raw. I raised the issue with the manager because the omelet was not an omelet and our food was cold. He told me to eat the omelet and he would make me a second not omelet to go with the first one that was screwed up. I said I did not want whatever they served me and go back and do it right, he told me I was out of line and instead of making a scene we decided to leave. Then I go make a complaint to IHOP corporate, then it gets worse. I just got a call from the owner of the IHOP on 7/30/2015 around 10:00 AM and he told me that I over-exaggerated and what did I expect to happen. I was expecting an apology and was given a line of "how dare you complain" instead. He said that he has video of the event that occurred, but the problem with that he had no sound. So I had to make a complaint against the owner after he told me to basically blank myself which I told him to do so as well. Eat here if you wish, but I am done with this dump. It's a shame because this place use to be really good and now knowing how the ownership feels about customers who complain. No wonder the quality of the product is found lacking now.
I have not been in the IHOP for a while. I mean a while is minimum 5 years. We decide to go there have the snack at 10 pm before the cranky night. We have the coupon with free four pancakes. What I have use to a dish with fried half hen is no longer serve there. The menu is change a lot. It went to tradition American cuisine. I found myself lost looking at the menu. However, they still have different type of crepes in the menu. I love their crepe. That may be the only thing not change. But they did add chicken florentine crepe. I got to try that and they my new found love here. The crepe is cook along side with the wrapping ingredients. The ingredients are chopped chicken breast, spinach, mushroom, onion. These ingredients are stir fry and add on top of crepe then top with Swiss cheese. The cheese melt away and the crepe top with hollandaise sauce. This is creeeeepy day for me. But they are good. Overall the pricing with the food some good value and some are not. Service is great.

I went into Gaspar's not expecting much. At first glance, the menu isn't big but it is full of flavor. I had the Ybor Cuban and it was one of the best Cuban sandwiches that I've had in Tampa. I was even surprised by how good the fries were. Everyone from the servers to the cooks and bartenders were nice and made a point to talk to us. The beer list is full of great options. As for drinks, during happy hour you can get a double for the price of a single. The patio is dog-friendly and would've been a good option if it weren't the middle of summer. The parking lot could've been bigger, but we were able to find the last available space. I'd go back later at night because they have live bands sometimes and it's more of a bar atmosphere.
I don't go to this place too often because it's a little out of the way, but I always have a good time when I do. Maybe I'm a little inebriated by the time I decide to order food, but to me the wings are some of the best in Tampa, the other stuff I've tried is normal bar food quality. I'm thankful that there is no dessert on their menu because drunk me would probably eat all the ice cream in the world. The waitresses are great, very attentive and friendly, no matter how late it is. Don't miss the liquor store next door! I don't know how they fit so much in a relatively small space, but they seem to have *everything*. The only drawback is parking gets a little ugly, so if you get there later at night you're gonna have a bad time trying to find a spot.
I use to love this place but my last few visits were not good at all. One visit my husband had on a tshirt and was told we cant serve you with a wife beater shirt, I never knew shirts are called wife beaters. We left and didnt go back for months until I convince my husband to try this place again. Well this time service was slow, we sat at table for over 15 mintues before someone came over then the waitress was getting our order while talking to people around her so we had to repeat our order more then once. Food is okay but the staff needs to do better Havent been back.
