Shrimp and Grits and Hunter Chicken. Wow The way they are suppose to be made. Fresh, flavorful and complete. The restaurant has a "cheers" atmosphere but not the boy-stress part, just the ambiance. This is now my favorite restaurant in Florida and I live here year round. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. Two of us with a full bottle of wine $31.00 and a 2o% tip came to $120.00 Oh The bread pudding is the way it should be made more like a thick pudding and less like scraps of bread that has not been properly prepared

First time we dined there and have lived here for years, what a mistake we have made! The service was outstanding, we had guests in from Germany one who spoke Greek and the other obviously German. Our waitress Gabriella, spoke both! What a treat to be able to get help and answer questions in both languages! Oh and the good was fantastic! The mussels in white wine sauce and shrimp appetizers were excellent and the main dishes of grouper and meatloaf were outstanding. On top of all that they had an acoustical guitar player. We have already gone back and would write the same review again. Do yourself a favor a give this great local restaurant a try....

From one guest-to-another - 3rd party intervention! There always exists two sides of the coin, as with "Nikki C's" comment at Currents Tarpon - I beg to differ. As luck would have it, our table was adjacent to "Nikki C's". My Captain and I, had planned ahead and reserved a table for Christmas Eve, along with a "vegetarian couple" we invited to join us. We were well within ear shot of what took place, so allow me to share the other side of the coin. Here is how the issue actually unfolded... Two couples (a mature set & a younger version) were seated at what seemed to be an uncomfortable table. The younger version...aka Nikki C seemed miserable from the get go. Their server did indeed offer to move them, (didn't seem like a joke, but a sincere effort to please) she explained it would take 5 minutes to set them up in a new location, we heard the server say, "I know you are celebrating, and it's really important you enjoy your dinner." The mature couple seemed well satisfied with the servers efforts. Nikki C, declined the offer, stating they would remain at the same table. They proceeded to order drinks and view the CHRISTMAS MENU which had already been posted on the website/facebook (which is how, I read about it) also noted "clearly" is the vegetarian meal option. BUT YOU HAVE TO TELL A SERVER YOU WANT A VEGETARIAN MEAL which is an "Off the menu" item! Nikki C, never once questioned the server about the V-meal. Our guests were ingratiated with the due diligence we showed as their host in making sure Currents, could accommodate their meal preferences. This is called "planning ahead" for those with dietary meal restrictions. I ordered the filet & scallops, my Captain ordered the Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection. Meaning: Chilean Sea Bass is NOT served 'cooked to death', but carefully poached to simmer in it's own natural flavor. Our V-guests could have chosen the Sesame Soy Stir fry with Tofu, instead they optioned for a lovely platter of vegetarian ravioli...to die for! In closing! It was Christmas Eve and very busy. Currents is a small cozy neighborhood restaurant - yes, it was a bit too dark, but there were plenty of sparkling accent lights making it a calm and very soothing ambiance during such a rush - rush busy holiday time. We dine at Currents often, possibly unknown to Nikki C, the flashing yellow lights were recently installed by the city because of the many accidents that occur on that particular intersection; Pinellas Bike Trail intersection &Tarpon Road, which can get pretty hectic. I think the flashing lights only added to the already irksome Nikki C, who was committed to having a lousy time. The great food, music and exceptional service surely make up for the flashing light nuance, but only for those who are prepared to over look them in lieu of enjoying the moment.

This is a 5-star dining experience in Tarpon Springs. The restaurant itself is dimly-lit and has a upscale, but casual atmosphere. I had the famous pork tenderloin with the jalapeno goat cheese creamed corn - amazing. Deliciously cooked and made for a perfect meal!

My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant that we have not eaten at before. We wanted to stay close by home so we decided to try Currents. I was a little worried when we first walked into the restaurant because it had a very distinct musty smell, kind of like old carpet smell. The restaurant is in the downtown district of Tarpon Springs and is in an older building. We were seated promptly and had a server help us right away. Our food ended up being amazing! My husband got the Grouper Piccata. It was the best fish I have had since moving to Florida. I ordered the Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Fondue. It was cooked perfectly and the fondue was a wonderful compliment to the meat. Our server was great! It was a very pleasant dining experience. Just wish they could get rid of the musty smell of the restaurant.

I'm a local in Tarpon and have visited this restaurant several times. I loved the past menu and felt a huge disappointment at the new one. They took off my favorite side (jalapeño corn) and the meatloaf. They raised the prices *significantly* but the food to me isn't reflective of the price change. The food is good, but not great. For these prices, I expect more. The part this restaurant needs to really focus on is in service. From the kitchen to the servers, there's a lack of speed. If the restaurant wants to make money, they could do it easier with food getting prepared faster. Perhaps creating a menu more suited to the kitchen? I've never seen it but it's like they literally make one dish at a time. It can take over 45 minutes to get your food. Servers seem to disappear instead of visiting the tables for refills (I would avoid my tables too if my customers food was taking epic time to prepare). If you're in a hurry, you'd avoid the restaurant because of this. It's hard to enjoy your rather expensive meal when you have to go by the time it arrives. Additionally, It doesn't matter how many people are in the place. We've literally been the ONLY table at lunch and it was a forever wait. If the timing wasn't an issue, I'd give them 4 stars. But it's never been fixed in the 4 years I've gone here.

Small. Local. Good. This is the sort of restaurant that probably doesn't get as much business as it should, but those that go appreciate what the owners are trying to do. I had the lentil soup (earthy, perfect consistency), wedge, and the bread pudding. All of it was satisfying. I'd go back.

Came here because Rusty Bellies was packed so we needed another place close by. Overall food was alright. Had better crab cakes at Crabby Bill's. No flavors that was outstanding for me to come back. Usage of the demi glaze sauce on too many of our dishes(entree and dessert). They did however make a great Cherry coke.

Just because I only update these reviews once a year, it doesn't mean that I am not a customer and fan of Currents with much greater regularity. Those who know me know that there is never a time when eating out and Tarpon Springs comes up in the same conversation that I don't immediately insert Currents into the mix. Unless you have a fixation on Jamaican Jerk Chicken, or an incurable craving for Spanakopita, there isn't much reason to eat anywhere else in Tarpon Springs. Today I decided it was time for lunch while I was in Tarpon Springs. I do enjoy well prepared Jamaican Jerk Chicken. I also enjoy Spanakopita. I just wasn't fixated on or craving either, so off to Currents I went. Currents can be a fabulous experience on virtually any day. When the ladies (Gaby & Stacy) are serving you, even fabulous steps up just another notch. Today the Gods were shining on me, with Gaby leading the way. For the last 15-20 years I have told friends about a place on the east coast of Yorkshire, England, in the quaint fishing village of Whitby, called Trenchers. With fresh catches coming in from the North Sea daily, Trenchers serves the best Fish and Chips in the known universe. You can choose from Cod, Haddock, Plaice, Skate Wing, and Halibut. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The Fish (Grouper) and Chips I had today at Currents was something I have only hoped for there. If Currents starts serving "Mushy Peas", I may never have to return to Trenchers again! Just when I thought I was done, Gaby informed me that during the month of September you receive complimentary Award Winning Bread Pudding with the purchase of lunch. What?! All that for an $11.00 meal?! Right, right, you're bloody well right! (Supertramp) I've said it before, and I'll say it again - If you are out dining anywhere else in the Tarpon Springs area, you might just as well stay at home and share a bowl of Kibbles N Bits with your favorite four-legged friend....

The only thing worse than crappy service is NO service and since you can't give a restaurant zero stars, I was forced to give one. We were visiting from out of town and wanted a good local dinner. While the restaurant it self was very cute and romantic the service was literally nonexistent. We stood at the host stand for over 10 minutes and never saw a single employee. Not one. The bartender was no where to be found and the servers were audible in the kitchen but at no point came into the restaurant. A customer who was also waiting for service informed us to just sit down because that was the only way we were going to get a table. After waiting and literally walking through the entire restaurant I called twice- keep in mind I was literally standing at the bar while doing so. We ended up leaving without ever seeing a single employee, much less receiving any service. As my boyfriend was walking out an employee finally answered the phone- to inform me "Ya, well we are closing in about an hour."

Great little restaurant in downtown Tarpon. Quiet spot for lunch. Food was great with just the right portion sizes. Had the shrimp and grits, and it was the best in the area. Service was spot on, attentive, polite and anticipated out needs. Will be back again.

We weren't aware you needed reservations when we arrived at 8:10 on Tuesday, but that was ok, the Hostess asked us to wait until a table opened up. We waited about 10 minutes and then were seated. Our table was at the back, which allowed us to look at the artwork on the walls, and look at the whole place. Over all, it's a lovely little place, a bit small, but the bar is really impressive. The service wasn't hurried, Caleb, our Waiter, was attentive without hovering. Our water glasses never went dry. The FOOD! Lordy! The food was absolutely divine. We started with the brie with pesto. This was amazing. Our entrees were the Seared Salmon with Spinach and a basalmic glaze, and the Angus NY Strip, both were cooked to perfection. The sides that came with each were perfectly seasoned and made out taste buds sing. Lately, since we're both on a restricted diet, we wouldn't order dessert, but tonight, I just had to try the flourless chocolate cake. I'm so glad we did! This was a little bit of heaven on a plate. Rich and thick, and served with a raspberry sauce... It was simply too much at the moment, so more than half came home with us. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Tarpon area. Especially anyone looking for a nice little place to go on Date Night!

Food and service always been excellent there, they have a full bar , have not had a bad meal there yet, if you're in Tarpon Springs it's a good place to go and they except reservations which is very nice.

If you thought Tarpon Springs was just about flaming cheese, sponges and sea shell shops, well think again. We went to Currents tonight for Creative Loafing Tampa's Restaurant Week 2013. Basically, for one week a bunch of restaurants in the Tampa Bay area offer up a $25 Prix Fixe (don't even ask me how to pronounce that) menu. Currents is one of the participating restaurants this year. This place gave off a fancy vibe without making me feel like I should be wearing a monocle and top hat. It was classy yet comfortable. I like it. Our server, Staci, was on point. She knew the menu, was friendly and attentive. I can't say enough good things about her. Awesome. The beer options were for the most part the usual suspects. They did have Stella though, so I went with it. I would have liked to have seen some local Tarpon beers offered, or at least a few craft options. They did have a decent wine and martini list, if that's your thing. The food was great. There wasn't anything I didn't like. The mashed potatoes that came with the pork tenderloin were tubular. Tubular... because they're tubers... and they were awesome. Get it!? Nevermind... let's just move on. I have to give props to the jalapeno goat cheese cream corn as well. Don't let the name scare you. It's not spicy, but it is delicious. Nice job. I can't believe I haven't been here before, and I can't wait to come back. Though, I guess that's part of the point of CLT-RW, to get people to try places they haven't been. So get out there and try a new restaurant!

Current's has been around for awhile, in a location where many restaurants have tried and failed previously. Having said this it had been on the bookmark list for some time before my father suggested it as an option for his birthday dinner. The reservations were made through OpenTable and the restaurant confirmed via phone. We arrived to a later dinner (8:30pm) and were seated immediately. Service was slow considering the lack of crowd on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was very warm. We pushed on despite the wait ordering entrees immediately for fear of a non returning server if we ordered appetizers. I have to precursor that my Father absolutely loves short rib and the primary reason we ended up at Currents was this option. To his fault he envisioned it in the manner of Dunedin's Black Pearl and was extremely disappointed at it's almost un-chewable apparition from the Current's kitchen. My mother ordered the lobster which was also overcooked and disappointing. I have several dietary restrictions/allergies, usually it is not a problem at a restaurant that prepares food fresh, that night it presented as a piece of salmon sans any sauce. Everything else was so lack luster, I felt so bad I picked up the entire check and promised to review the restaurant accordingly (my family knows how this works.) I'm not sure if it was just an off night, but we definitely will not be back again. I much rather a trip to the Black Pearl in Dunedin or Massimo's in Palm Harbor for a real local fine dining experience.

Disappointing. We'd heard and read good things about Currents so decided to give it a try for our 6th anniversary dinner. Big mistake. Our drinks were flat. The cedar key clams - which we were so happy to see on the menu - were so salty they were almost inedible. The house salad was decent with nice ripe Roma tomatoes. I had the special salmon and husband had the duck breast. The salmon was ruined by being smothered in a cloyingly sweet sauce. The duck was almost raw and the fat hadn't been rendered properly making it tough and nasty. They offered 4 desserts - old tired standbys showing zero originality. Needless to say we skipped dessert figuring we'd be better off at home with some Ben and jerrys. We won't be rushing back.

If negative stars were an option, this establishment would get several negative stars. I stood at the front of this restaurant for 10 without being spoke to or greeted by any member of the staff. While I understand that almost every establishment in tarpon closes at 9, if you are a restaurant that closes at 10 you need to be ready and willing to accept any and all customers up until your time of close. By allowing new customers to stand at the front of the restaurant for 10 minutes you not only fail to service new customers, you fail to provide excellent customer service to all existing customers as management would like to be provided. I also blame the people of yelp for misguiding us out of towners. I hold each an every reviewer of this restaurant as responsible as the owner of this establishment. Shame on all of you.

Only had lunch here. Food was pretty good, but I left feeling like the prices were a little high for what I got. Nice atmosphere though. Good date or business lunch spot.

BOTTOM LINE: Great ambiance, great menu, beautiful presentation, bad service, bad mussels, over salted. We went there on a Monday night for a celebratory dinner. Currents came highly recommended by a good friend who is a Tarpon local. I love the ambiance and location. Very cute, very romantic and most importantly, very clean! The dishes came out beautiful. Service was understaffed and was completely absent after the entrees were served. There were no more than 5 tables the whole time we were there. Everything was slow coming out (drinks, salad, bread & entrees). By the time the food came out, I was so hungry it wasn't worth our while sent both dishes back. It was one of those dishes where the first bite tasted great and you tell the waiter everything is delicious--then the 2-3rd bite you realize there's a problem... The lobster was rubbery and the fish was chewy but there was no one to complain to without walking into the kitchen. I would say the salt was a fluke in one of the ingredients, but everything was consistently salty! The fish, duck, rice, vegetables, everything was salty! This is coming from a couple who loves their salt too! One last note of food quality was being served dead/closed mussels... seriously? Thankfully we did not get sick. I'd go there again just because there are so many high reviews and give them another chance, but as of right now, they are a big fat fine dining FAIL.

Thanks to other reviews and yelp. We live in the area, but never knew about this place. We had the short rib and the chicken dish (sorry can't remember the name). The service and food was great. Definitely coming back.

Great burger with carmelized onions, cheese. Excellent duck fat fries. Good dessert. Trendy. Only downside, closed from 2:30p to 4p. Open 11a to 2p then 4p to 11p. Bar menu not available at the tables.

We live in south Tampa and it takes us almost an hour to drive out for dinner. I have to say, it's always worth it! The dishes are made with such fresh ingredients and the food looks as great as it tastes. I would highly recommend this restaurant - for fresh seafood and tasty soups and friendly service. And they are gluten free friendly!

Have to offer a dose of reality here. Food was okay, but not on par with the prices or decor. Probably better than most nearby options. In another town with more competition, they'd have to try harder. They seem new, so maybe they'll improve. Staff was very nice. A bit disappointed on the beer selection. No excuse not to carry local or more unique microbrews.

Very nice place in Tarpon Springs. Took a short drive to Tarpon Springs on a whim and wound up in the middle of a food truck rally on Tarpon Ave. We decided against the food trucks and wandered into Currents for a late dinner. We were promptly greeted and seated by a window. Currents has a nice selection of cocktails and wine/beer. Our servers (yes, we had two) were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was dark, warm, and friendly. We started with Crab Cake as an appetizer. HUGE chunks of crab! A combo of two sauces drizzled on top. One of the best crab cakes I've had. Delish! For my entree I ordered the Chicken Allure, one chicken breast topped with asiago cheese, spinach and a light burre blanc sauce topped with almond slivers. The chicken was served on a bed of mashed potatoes that were perfectly flavored and lumpy. My entree also came with a side salad to start. We were also served fresh bread to start. My friend ordered the Blue Cheese crusted NY Strip. It was cooked perfectly to order. I found the cheese to be overpowering but my friend enjoyed it. We did not indulge in dessert but the menu looked good with all selections made in house. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Currents. The next time I am in Tarpon Springs, I won't hesitate to eat there again. FYI- Check Creative Loafing Deals for half priced gift certificates to Currents.

An incredible experience. Located in the quaint village area of Tarpon Springs. Wait staff is fantastic and the owner limits the number of tables for each waiter. The chef is talented and creative. Fish is as fresh as you can get. Wines are fantastic. Bartender makes the best martini. We met the owner, Tracy, who introduced herself. This was a great experience, we will be back with friends for sure!

We love this place! They will make anything you want with 24-48 hrs notice. Very friendly staff, Tracy the owner is a star and they better not ever leave Tarpon! You must try it and see for yourself...

I don't think I have ever had such high hopes and been so disappointed in a restaurant. I'll start at the beginning.... When we go out to dinner with my in-laws, we like going out to really, really dine. We like the experience. We do it all. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, dessert, coffee, an after dinner cocktail. We spare no expense. My mother-in-law and I had been talking about coming here for a few months. We were really excited to try this place. After finding all of the positive reviews we thought we had chosen a winner for our Christmas Eve dinner. We made reservations. Got to restaurant about 3 minutes early. There were open tables already set. We were told to wait for our table to be put together and to stand near the bar. There isn't much room by the bar to stand, but we waited for about 15 minutes. We were seated at a wobbly table with wobbly chairs right next to the bar and would have been able to lean my head back on the bar top. My head was also right next to the server station. There were 4 booths available at this time. I asked if we could be moved. The hostess never came back with an answer. Our server showed up and made a joke about our small table. I could tell the in-laws were a bit uncomfortable in the shabby chairs. I asked to be moved again. We were never moved. The server said something about there being a wait to move. Did someone call out and that's why we never moved? When we left only 1 of these booths had been sat. The patrons who were seated there had been waiting at the bar for some time. Others who came into the restaurant and were asked to wait seemed to be wondering why they were unable to be seated in these empty tables as well (just my observation...). The restaurant was poorly lit and my father-in-law had to use his phone flash light to read the menus. You can barely see what is offered behind the bar (we were right next to it). Also, for having a good set of large pretty bay windows, which I'm sure is fantastic during the day time, should really have curtains for the night. The yellow street crosswalk flashes brightly into the restaurant. The menu was limited, this we expected since the website says fresh and local. They claim on their website to be vegetarian friendly, yet there was no vegetarian option for an entree. Unless a mango pineapple bruschetta appetizer will satisfy you. I am not a full blown vegetarian, but I prefer to eat vegetarian as much as possible. I can settle with fish. We did not order an appetizer or dessert, as we were uncomfortable and simply wanted to eat and leave. The in-laws enjoyed their meals. Hubby and mine, not so much. We had Chilean Sea Bass. Not sure mine was cooked properly. It was olive oil poached, but it tasted as if it were soaked in butter. As did the rice it was on top of. The overwhelming butter flavor was all I could taste. I did inform the waitress when she came to take our plates, as ours wasn't eaten much. I'd like to think maybe we just ordered the wrong dish, but the overall experience wasn't good. I observed other people in the restaurant. I saw people looking around for their server for a check. I saw customers standing in the front waiting for seats when there were open tables. I saw servers being very frustrated and setting dishes and trays down at empty tables. It seemed they didn't have enough room to maneuver around the tables that were situated in the middle of the restaurant. It was a very frustrating and very disappointing experience. If someone gave me a gift card, I still wouldn't go back.

Had dinner last night in Currents with my son, who is not only an avid deep sea fisherman but an amazing cook. The place was packed with a Chamber of Commerce group but we lucked out and got a table for 2. We shared the carpaccio ( delicious!) and escargot. We both had the Grouper Piccata which was perfectly prepared, served with rice, mushrooms and steamed thinly sliced yellow squash. Everything was just great. Our server Caleb was absolutely great. He apologized for the slight delay in delivering our entrees because of the large group, which is what a good server does. I live in Tarpon Springs and have been here for lunch but this was my first dinner here. Having eaten in some of the best places in Manhattan and Westchester, I would say Currents compares very favorably to them.

The location is downtown Tarpon Springs. The decor - any European restaurant . Its all about the food.! A Tampa Top 50. Atmosphere 75 It's a corner storefront on Main Street Service 75 No mistakes just not crisp Food 90 No qualms - it was done right Value 80 It is about the food. Everything else is neutral. Worth a visit if you are in the area, hungary and are not looking for anything super special. Good American fare with a touch of fruits and roots.

There is no place like Currents at charming Tarpon Spring. Great location, contemporary atmosphere, excellent service and a touch of formal dress code. We ladies spend a fabulous girls night out and we all 'spiritually satisfied'. We were treated very well. For that matter, I gave Current a thumb up 10. The reason I left 2 stars off is because their food didn't blow my socks off. I expected something outstanding. We ordered escargot for starter and chef special 'Red Snapper' for entree. The chef is very creative. Sauce is interesting. But for me, the excellent sauce didn't match the food. Escargot is soaked in cream sauce which is not traditional and hard to match the wine. For the main course as well, the sauce is on the heavy creamy side it's bit off balance with the delicate snapper flavor. Fish is sauteed but a bit of dry as well. Side vegetable is well seasoned and crispy. I just wish the onion got more sauteed so it is not too tough to chew. Presentation need a lot of improvement to please our eyes. Escargot, $ 7, Red Snapper, $ 26, A glass of wine: $ 11. I will go back again soon and try their Shrimp Diane and I will have a benchmark to compare with. My own Shrimp Diane is a killer. We shall see if we can fill up the rest of 2 stars. Very attempting.

Very nice restaurant- despite fact they did not have my my open table reservsation. Lobster and crab bisque was very good as were the salads. Entrees disappointing- had the crab and shrimp pasta which needed more flavor, wifes steak with the special had to be sent back- she never listens when I tell her only order steak in a steak restaurent-lol- except Panne Rustica- Other downside is very limited wine list- Service was good- replaced steak no probelm and comped desert-

My hubby and I went to Currents last Thursday night to celebrate our anniversary. I made a reservation through Open Table. When we arrived, they had our reservation and a very nice anniversary card on our table. Our server Stacey was outstanding. In addition, The complimentary martinis for Ladies night were wonderful. My husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the special shrimp dish served over pasta. Both were excellent. We finished our dinner with the delicious crème brulee. This restaurant is a gem. You should try it.

We went here with a Creative Loafing gift card $50 for $25. Great deal we think. There are two of us. We order soups and meals, along with two drinks each. All was mediocre- the soup, the meals (the whisky salmon has nothing to it as do the pork tenderloins- very chain food restaurant taste and the dirty martini was not dirty -can they really not make proper drinks?). My partner ordered two Hennessys. At least that, they couldn't mess up (or so we thought). We get the bill $90. For two people. The Hennesys were $15 each. When we called that to the waitress' attention, she brought it up to her boss who brought us a drink menu we never received that showed the different types of Hennessy and how ours was top shelf. We pay for it, although we never requested top shelf Hennesy because by this point, we were not yet pissed. We are reviewing the restaurant together. Talking about the aspects of the food. Which parts we didn't like, etc, when a waitress behind us says, "They can hear you." My partner scrunches his face confused and says, "I think someone just told us they could hear us." "What?" I look past him and the waitress sitting there checking out her tips points to the other part of the waitstaff and tells us again, "They can hear you." We just sit there appalled. Someone felt the right to interrupt our conversation? Someone felt the right to say that to us? We were already upset and this just was the cherry on top. We will never EVER go back there again. They do not treat customers with proper regard or respect and their food is highly overpriced and mediocre at best. No thank you. You are warned.

We were impressed.....just the kind of place Tarpon Springs needs.....She had the pork tenedrloin and thought it was wonderful.....I had the orange glaze & pepercorn strip steak..... that also was great...... service was very good & the decor was fine & dandy.......Katie made us a couple of excellant Cosmos & our waitperson was attentive without being overbearing....... If it as good on my next visit I will move it up to 5 STARS............All in all this goes on my RECOMMEND LIST 2nd Visit....... Just as good as the 1st visit ....... but can't give them 5 stars..... Still a place that we will be back to again. RECOMMENED

We were swept away by Currents. As close as you can get to the perfect experience. Wayne and Tracey are class acts. Chef Donald's preparation is compatible to the finest seafood Bistros in Seattle. Deliciousness. So wonderful to have them in our community. Eat, drink and be merry.

The best in Tarpon Springs!!! Katy was the best. We had a party of eight and you would have thought we had a party of two or four. All food arrived in a very timely manner as well as having fresh bread and in a never ending basket. A great Special place! Thanks Currents

We had a wonderful dinner last weekend at Currents. It was our first visit and we used a Groupon and the staff and service were professional, friendly and very helpful. Currents is a refreshing departure from the typical beach, tiki bar, and sponge dock scene in the area. Upscale and classy, in a quaint historic area of Tarpon Springs near the old train station (now a museum) and antique shops. The menu is creative, we had the grouper piccatta and it was cooked to perfection. The wine list had a nice variety of choices and were moderately priced. they are only open for dinner, too bad they don't do lunch! We will definitely go back!
