Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

Ordered a rib eye medium rare. Got it well done. Sent it back. Next one got medium. Was too hungry by then so did not send back again. Manager asked me if 2nd one was okay. I said no it was medium. He said sorry and walked away. Even if they had cooked it right, quality of steak was average. Just got check and they took $15 off $20 steak. So in the end I leave happy.

I would not recommend this location. We went at a slow time and were seated instantly. However it took over 10 minutes for the waitress to come and greet us. And another 10 minutes after that to even get our drinks. The peo

I usually like TGI Fridays, but one was below average. I ordered sizzling shrimps and chicken, it was OK, but not sizzling. I don't like the food after it cools down.

Amazing time here, arriving at opening my mom and i had the whole place to ourselves. The food and drinks were delicious.

I joined my sister and nephew for dinner (early), and it may have ruined my weekend. I'll start by saying we had a very nice and attentive server - she was great! However, once the food started arriving the good vibes fell silent. My nephew's mini-burgers were okay. Not sure those can be messed up. My sister and I both opted for the 6oz steaks. Those can and were messed up. My medium rare steak was seared nearly black on the outside while mushy & bloody inside - a feat most experienced cooks may find hard to achieve. My sister's medium well was more of a valid attempt at medium rare. We HATE being "those people" and sending food back, but in this case it was justified. We waited nearly 15min for our food to re-arrive which is average, I think. At that time the manager brought out the food and asked us to cut into the mystery meat to check the cook. I'll admit, the first cut seemed "okay". After a few cuts, though, mine was back to mushy & bloody while my sisters was a charred mess. I guess it may be protocol, but our side dishes were clearly left on the plate and simply set under a heat lamp or reheated while our steaks were "corrected". I am certain, however, that it is not typical to deliver shriveled mozzarella and spinach to a customer. This was the 3rd strike for this location, (previous horrible service followed by a dismal take out fiasco) so regardless of it being "kid's choice" night on Fridays, our choice will never be Friday's again! *Update: my sister just vomited on BBD, so there's that. -_-

We had a very good time here! The chicken picatta pasta and the California chicken sandwich were outstanding. The "skinny". Margaritas rocked bs of course the brownie Sunday was the perfect end to a very good meal! Good service and good food. What else could you ask for?

Ok Yelpers so I am a HUGE TGI Fridays FAN! I love love TGI! Why? Because of the atmosphere and great service. Love the food and the variety of quality American classics menu options. This TGI was rather disappointing though... Not because of the food but because of the service. My business partners and myself arrived here during happy hour on a Sunday night and the restaurant was not even busy, except for the bar area (As in the counter bar seating) everything else was wide open. One bartender and two servers, it took almost 10 minuets just to get a menu and the service was not much better the remainder of the night. lol This is a great location, really clean, and good food but the service on all ends needs to be updated and reviewed. One great thing this place does have though is the Patio area is AMAZING!!! Has big Tv's everywhere and a full service bar outside, doesn't get much better. And late night with the cool Florida air and some good rinks mixed with some sports and friends is always a good time.

First time with the new menu. They just put a new package on it and charge double. Same ol crappy food. Will not return.

Service & atmosphere are good, drinks are decent, My food was somewhat disappointing. Spinach Artichoke dip was alright, we also had the fried Mac n' Cheese balls just because it's an interesting concept. They do have a really nice patio area and an outside bar with Tvs, unique to this TGI's. I would go here just for drinks on the patio. Burger patty was preformed and thin, making them easy to overcook, which mine was. Fries are lacking. Compared to other casual chains, my food was below par. TGI's was very quick to reply to this review, and have compensated for the experience. I have yet to go back though, but will update when I do. It's true I can't judge for the rest of their food, but I only ever get burgers or steak when going to American diners. I can say they care about their customers though, I will give them another try with their offer to make it better.

Gross Gross Gross! Don't waste your time and money...the shrimp tasted of old grease and not inedible. We sent back the app and two entrees. the only thing my family had was a kids chicken finger because I couldn't take my son's food.

Food took FOREVER and was NOT good! Go to Chicfila across the street! The chicken on my salad was cold. It looked like the janitor brought the food out. Even my son's French fries tasted weird. He even said his burger tasted bad. Waitress was good, but that is the end of the"good" part of this meal. It is noon on a Saturday and I have a very odd after taste in my mouth and the place only has about 5 occupied tables. NEVER AGAIN!

Horrible service and horrible (oddly salty for some reason) mojitos. This was not my choice of venue, but 4 friends were out there so what the heck, right? Wrong - never again to this Fridays.

Ugg...not worth it. Even when all else fails and you don't know where to eat...go find some place else. I was all happy with several of my coworkers and when one of the young mail waiters approached, he looked angry..i was like ' Hiiiii' lol. Apparently he wasn't in the mood and if looks could kill, I would have been dead right there on the spot. Damn! Anyway, the young girl who came after was very sweet. Service was atrociously slow. My meal was cold and so I sent it back. Manager came over to check on me. Apologized to which I accepted. New meal came fresh and hot. Should have been that way from the start. I hate to waste food. Anyway, when I got the check they didn't charge me which I totally didn't expect. So I thank them for being accommodating. For the sweet girl waitress and the manager making sure I was taken care of, I gave them a strong 2 stars. I wouldn't go back if I'm in the area though. Too many other options to select from. Everyone was tired from traveling and we just wanted a close convenient dinner joint. This was the closest and that is the ONLY reason we went there.

I don't have much to write about this TGI Friday's. My father and I stopped in for dinner since we felt like eating out, and we both took advantage of the 3 courses for $12.99 meal deal. The food was all served warm in a decent amount of time, but the food was all super salty. I ended up going through multiple glasses of water, which usually doesn't happen. Service was non-committal, but we got everything we needed. Basically, not a memorable dining experience, but served it's purpose of a convenient meal.

Although this location had lower ratings-- I tried out the restaurant because I had a gift card. This location has free Wifi and a nice patio area (covered). The waiter was nice and attentive even though he was busy. I will visit it again if I am on that side of town.

Well!! let's just say the beef burger wasn't made of just beef,, there was some additions which was not meant for humans to eat. REALLY DISGUSTING FOOD. After I spat out the food in a napkin it was over for me.

We went back! Just because we enjoy this location so much. our server this time was David T. He was super attentive and we didn't even have to ask for drinks at any given time. Food was excellent even with a switch on my husband's steak (overcooked for his taste) but David noticed him pushing it to the side and quickly came to pick it up and ordered a new one to be made. Thanks for the great service.

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner. I ordered one of the shakers and the girl brought out a tall glass of seemingly the same drink. When I asked the waitress, she was like "oh they just serve it that way." Well that wasn't acceptable, it's not what I ordered. So I sent it back. Finally got the right thing. So I guess she redeemed herself after her smug answer? Again, I love the beefy queso and homemade chips and queso and bacon, so I was happy with that. I order the jack Daniels sirloin and shrimp scampi, one of the most expensive items on the menu. The steak was full of fat and gristle (is that redundant?) and the shrimp had no flavor. But I was buzzed because my drink was made pretty well and didn't complain, which I should have. My bill came to $40 (I don't remember ordering second shaker, but hey, must have). For the value, I'd say no thanks. Not again.

Oh, Friday's, I hope you know that I only visit you because you're convenient to the movie theaters. I don't remember the last time I had even an average meal here. Oh wait, yes I do...it's been never. The only reason this Friday's doesn't get one star is because the service is always great.

  • Tiffany B.

I mean... It's Fridays. It's where you go in a pinch. The food is average (though they do have a great club sandwich!), the service is average, it's just a whole lot of "meh". You can't exactly go there expecting a gourmet meal and five star service.

  • Mikee R.

Same TGI Friday's as the last ten or so years. The food is not fresh tasting nor is it delicious. The service is slow and does not even try to keep the drinks filled. Twenty years ago TGI Friday's was the spot to eat and drink. Now... Well, it will be a few more years before I return again.

Well, I know - what's the point of reading user reviews if you're not going to be guided by them? The reviews for this place were universally bad, yet, spurred on by a coupon, we went anyway. We were promptly seated, and read our menus for 4 -5 minutes, then watched as 8 - 10 servers walked by us. It quickly became apparent that were in the 'NO SERVER ZONE'. I noticed a big guy in a maroon shirt walk by us for a second time and I thought 'if he comes back by, he must be a manager'. at about the 10 -12 minute mark, he did cruise back by and I called after him 'do you work here?' He turned around and said yes. I asked him how long it took to get waited on here. He (correctly) said, 'how about right now' and proceeded to take our orders. His name was/ is George and he ultimately comped our meals, which was most gracious of him. I had the wings, fired green beans and loaded potato skins, all of which were ordinary. My baby had a pasta dish that she said was good. I doubt we'll be back.

2 years later I re-write my review..... the place is still disgusting... girls giving guys BJ's in the restaurant next to the John Travolta Disco photo before going to the bathroom. What kind of restaurant allows "hand jobs" & "blow jobs" and the female hostess just smiles.......... as she clearly see's the guys clock? Really? If your a skanky chick with low ethics then come on down to TGIF's get your groove on. Skank-A-Licious is the new term for this joint.

And Bennigans closed? How does this place make money, there is no way anyone without amnesia goes more than once. I have amnesia as I have made the same mistake three times, welcome to the lack of choice that is New Tampa. Service is consistently sub par, acknowledgement of one's presence goes a long way. Two of my three visits I waited at least 5-10 minutes before I got a drink and that was sitting at the bar. The first time I went I sat myself at the bar, after a short wait some dude named "juice" or "deuche" came and got my drink order, then another persons order a few stools away. We both ordered yeungling, he pours one, then delivers it to the other guy, then disappears to the patio where it appeared that he was making small talk with a guest and one of the servers. He then came back in and asked me if I'd like anything to drink. I think he has amnesia too. I ordered yeungling again and also placed an order for my burger. He asked how I would like it cooked, then when I respond "medium" he tells me it can only be mid-well or well. Thanks for asking, jerk. I vowed never to go back, but like I said I have amnesia. Trips two and three were much more recent, at least 18months after my initial visit. I was hoping maybe they worked out the kinks because they were still fairly new my first time. Nope. Still waited forever for drinks, my third visit I ordered food. This was around 12:45 in the afternoon, at 1:30 I asked about my chicken sandwich as my stomach does not have memory issues and was fully aware it had been told it was eating soon. The server stared at me for a moment with a blank stare then told me some line about the cooks. When my plate arrived it was obvious it had been sitting in a hot window for some time, my lettuce looked like cooked spinach and the plate was incredibly hot. Not to mention the bun had become crispy and dry. Good thing this place has a national brand and ad campaigns otherwise I'm sure it would not be providing any local jobs.

Wow, where do I begin. Let's see...it started when the waitress asked what we'd like to drink. I asked if there were any drink specials aside from the 2 for 1 house mojito and margarita. She said no and I said I thought I saw a beer special on the door coming into the restaurant. She said that she didn't know of that. She never said she'd find out but just waited for us to order. We chose the mojitos and regretted it. I'm no bartender but they were terrible. Justin is a bartender and said they didn't even make it with the ingredients they listed. It was pretty much sweet and sour mix with a lime. Not to mention she brought all 4 of the drinks out at once so the second one could get watered down. We sent them back and stuck with a coke (can't mess that up). Food was ok. Very disappointed in the Oreo madness dessert. It's basically like the ice cream cookies you buy at the grocery store. Justin's coke ran out before we got our entrees and she never refilled it. Even with his glass sitting at the edge of the table. When the bill came we were told the drinks we sent back were taken off but only 1 was so we had to have it corrected. Overall a terrible experience. I do not plan to revisit this place ever again unless forced to.

I mean it this time - have said it twice before - I will never come back here. Again, for the third time, lunch 'service' was awful. We were there around 12:30, not many customers but after 12 minutes of no one coming to take our order we got up and left. The prior two times we stuck it out and ended up taking an hour and thirty minutes - and then the food was cold. Today the manager was wandering around, looked over at us twice (we still had menus on our table). He approached a server both times, we thought he was going to send them our way but he had an extended conversation about a joke they were playing on someone instead. No big loss as far as atmosphere - the place is dark - fells cave-like. Thank goodness there's a Panera Bread across the parking lot that offers quick service, great food and a bright, uplifting atmosphere. They got our business today instead.
