Nifty little place that has some really good sandwiches. Tried lunch today, glad I did. I have the spicy cuban sandwich. It was jam packed with meat, head a perfect amount of mustard/mayo, and large slices of pickles. The fresh in house made chips were a great accompaniment. I ordered a half sandwich, glad I did, because i was stuffed. The large sandwich was 12$ and the half sandwich was $6.50. I also ordered the Tomato Vegetable soup. It was pretty good. Would have liked it to be more tomato soup than it was. Maybe could have used some asiago cheese in it to help the flavor. Just be aware you might not need a large sandwich. Definitely going back for breakfast. The descriptions of some of their breakfast items seem amazing!!!

I found this deli just as it was about to close. The lovely lady reopens her kitchen, locks the door and cooks me poached eggs on toast with smoked salmon. Where else can you get that for $5 on a Tuesday night? The food was cooked perfectly and she didn't skimp on the smoked salmon. The place was clean, you can see the cooking area and smiles were free.

Why 4 stars? Because this is not what you think it's gonna be. --- --- --- Or at least it's not what I thought it would be. I imagined the new Sunday's to be about a 15x15 area at most, where you take two steps in and you're at the small deli counter. I imagined this because Sunday's used to have quite the awesome (and large) space 30 feet across the street, so I assumed they moved because they wanted something smaller. My visit proved otherwise, as I came to find out that this building is barely smaller than their original. Why did they move? Who knows. But they still continue to make great food. I went with the Hot Italian Roast Beef and it was succulent. On one hand, I can't wait to eat it again, but on the other hand... it was practically a root canal trying to decide which sandwich to order. There will be plenty of great options to choose from next time... on the top of that list is their California hoagie. It comes with turkey, avocado, and some other tasty treats. I also grabbed a small side of macaroni salad, which was a great compliment to the strong flavors of my sandwich. My only minor complaint is that the chips were fairly dry and flavorless. That being said, there are PLENTY of other sides to choose from that look quite delicious. Sunday's - you're 2 for 2 in Ybor!

If you want some of the best sandwiches you have ever had... go to Sunday's. Not only is their food great, the folks that run it are great. What's wrong with the chickens outside? That's part of the Ybor flavor.

I've really tried to give this place a chance and it's seems to be getting worse each time I order. 1st strike was when my chicken sandwich came raw.. The entire thing! Now today I ordered their blackened chicken sandwich with blue cheese and it was completely smothered in blue cheese dressing. So much that my bread was soggy an the chicken was thin as paper and super dry. I really loved this place when they first opened. but the quality unfortunately has gone down since. Their Singapore is hands down the best thing on the menu, but for a sandwich shop, I expect consistency and with that variety .

Sunday's Deli is a strange place. The doorway area is where they have produce, etc. When you walk into the deli, it is a little dark. You can order your breads, cheese, meats. Or you can order off their menus at the counter to get a sandwich or breakfast, served all day. I've been a couple times and ordered the roast beef sandwich as well as the BBQ meatloaf. I didn't realize this was also going to be in sandwich form. In any case, it was OK. A whole sandwich is $13. I assume it must be as long as a yardstick at that price. The half sandwich at $7 is filling enough. If I go back again, I'll try a breakfast item.

I had never noticed this cool deli before - you gotta try it! The food was great and people know it judging by how busy it was on the Sunday that we went. Maybe understaffed at the time, but they were really nice and made for a great lunch! Definitely going back.

Large portions! Craving subs or sandwiches we decided to stop in and give it a go. I'm glad we did because the portions were huge! We could have shared a half portion lol we had leftovers for lunch the next day so it was great for the price of around $7 each. I ordered the chicken salad wrap that was on special with a spinach wrap. It comes with homemade chips with a nice seasoning on them or fries also seasoned. I tried the chips. Very crispy and fresh! Yum! My chicken was large chunk wonderful with grapes and almond slices mixed in. Very refreshing but beware onion breath! hehe I'm not sure if the onions were pre mixed in or if they were something I could ask to omit. Regardless I loved it! My husband ordered the California without guacamole adding Dijon with fries. Fries were delicious! The bacon on it was fresh and cooked perfectly. It was a great choice! Definitely recommend! The Hero as they call their sub is on fresh bread that they make in house daily and it was light airy and delightful! I wish I would have known I could have request my chicken salad on this fresh bread! I think the owner was working behind the counter on a Saturday afternoon. Talk about dedication and it shows with the amount of care put into each meal!

Just tried Sunday's for the 1st time, and overall, it was underwhelming. First off, it's not the cleanest place in the world, and the decor and configuration seem thrown together. It's even more confusing when you find out they moved here recently from across the street. You'd think they'd have everything set up nicely, but instead signs are falling down and the place looks old. They also have 2 separate chalk boards with sandwiches listed, and the boards are 20' apart from each other, makes ordering an unwanted adventure. Anyway, I heard good things about the "Asian pork sandwich", so that's what I ordered, with a side of fries. I thought I'd be getting roast pork, but instead I found cold cut pork inside. What a disappointment! I tried one of the previously-frozen, pre-seasoned fries and it tasted just like it looked - gross! I saw fresh this and fresh that signs outside in the window, wasn't expecting frozen fries. The only plus is they use Boar's Head meats and cheeses.....

I really liked this place! It has a great homey feel and I am pretty sure the owner was on skillet when we came on a Sunday morning for brunch :) I had the eggs benedict - which is the only thing I ever get for breakfast, so when I tell you they are FANTASTIC here, I speak from experience. I was there on a really quiet Sunday, so I can't speak to the days/times when Ybor is super busy. The service was great and the food was ready quickly. I am pretty sure it was the owner that was slaving away on the skillet - and I love places where the owner is onsite and clearly vested. the thing I loved about the eggs benedict is that they used a spinach and artichoke spread that made the taste really unique and fresh on a very traditional dish. It's great when places can think 'outside of the box' on a dish and end up with an awesome new twist on something that is normally very traditionally made. As an aside, the bathrooms were clean - which is always awesome at Ybor city lol

French fries are addicting. I repeat. French fries are addicting. This is a fair warning. I am a vegetarian. To some people this might seem like a hinder. To sundays, it is an opportunity to quincy my thirst for delicious NYC Style food without the compromise. I love this place. Gina & Dave will take care of you everytime. All the time. This fries are stubbornly good.

My husband and I went for lunch. I happened to notice this place last time we were in Ybor a couple of weeks ago. We ordered a whole Cuban which is $13. One half of this half of sandwich is what most people serve as a whole sandwich. They were also very accommodating as I wanted to try the spicy Cuban and my husband wanted a traditional. They made half each way. It was delicious. Better than the Cuban at the Columbia restaurant in my opinion. The only negative was the man cooking seemed to be in a really bad mood. You can clearly see behind the counter. I would definitely go back though. Also the Gatden Salad was huge and only $7!

My wife and I stopped there for lunch after seeing the overall rating. We were both unimpressed. The portions were large but the sandwiches were mediocre. I had the Asian pork and my wife had the Cuban. Neither were all that good. Also found the tables were not clean. Better choices are available close by. Should have listened to Ian S.

Ordered the sundays benedict. AMAZING HANGOVER REMEDY... Or just great comfort food period.

$4 for a 16oz plain black coffee should come with a cup of coffee and $1.50 in change. It was decent and quick, but that's too much money. There were chickens outside on a Saturday morning, making the post-Friday Ybor scene walk of shame. That earns a bonus star.

Cute little deli in Ybor with massive sandwiches! The cool thing? You can have breakfast ALL DAY! We went around noon and it wasn't super packed. They have menu item such as Heros, salads, sandwiches, subs and soup. I opted for the Muffuletta, and let me say when it arrived I was stunned! It was massive! It was so much bigger then I had expected it to be. Piled with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato and their olive dressing; it was perfection. It also came with their homemade potato chips with some seasoning on them which were also really amazing as well. Can't wait to go back and try breakfast!

Had it for the first time today, their cold sandwiches are good quality, nice soft bread. Nothing oustanding but better than an average cold sandwich. Fast delivery, the delivery kid was very nice. Their homemade chips are very good not soggy with oil or stale, well fried and well seasoned.

Ok so..... I'm not a big fan of the word "Foodie" but I am a fan of good local eateries here in the Tampa Bay area. Ybor City has some of best restaurants around. So when I came across Sundays i was pretty stoked. I don't typically venture down that far 7th & what was I thinking??!! 1st.... the place is dimly lit (not in a sexy intimate way either). The cashier / Chef was nice enough to put on gloves. Unfortunately she ended up leaving said gloves on while she tended to the cash register, cleaned food prep area, handled my chicken ( again), grabbed a few other Non food items, grabbed my girl's food handled more cash transactions. Finally the food arrived: overcooked eggplant parm sandwich drenched in sauce along side my, also, overcooked sandwich. Both served on very cold bread (not sure why that is) I'm all for an affordable bit to eat but not at the expense of common sense hygiene practices. We threw most of our food away. We will never, ever, ever go back. Stay AWAY!!!!

Sunday's Deli is a terrific find along Ybor City's busy 7th Avenue. Sunday's is located at the cross-street of 19th Avenue, a few blocks east of the famed Columbia restaurant. From the street, this looks like a small store-front, but as you walk into the main restaurant you'll be surprised to discover that there's room for about 30 people to sit and enjoy their meals. Chef Dave Sunday opened the restaurant in 2012 as a neighborhood deli with a commitment to make everything in-house from fresh-baked focaccia and ciabatta breads to sausage, corned beef, roast beef and barbecued meatloaf sandwiches. This is truly a small neighborhood deli, much like you would find in the boroughs of New York City, but the menu is tailored for the diverse ethnic crowd within Ybor City. They serve breakfast all day long including their version of egg's Benedict, breakfast sandwiches, French toast, lemon ricotta pancakes, and a variety of omelets. For lunch they have homemade soups and salads, along with cold cuts sliced by the pound, and a huge assortment of cold case deli salads, including antipasti, spinach artichoke, marinated mozzarella, Italian olive medley, and a terrific cucumber red onion salad which can be added as a side to any sandwich. The sandwiches all come on homemade baguettes or they can be made as wraps, and include the traditional cold deli sandwiches like an Italian, a Californian, and the Caprese for the mozzarella and red peppers crowd. They also offer traditional deli favorites like corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, deli turkey, and muffalettas. I liked the sound of their Norwegian Grilled Cheese which comes with smoked salmon, Havarti cheese, and pickled onions on marbled rye with horseradish aioli & chive spread. For lunch today I ordered half of the hot Buccaneer sandwich which is made with oven-roasted chicken, Black Forest ham, pepperoni, roasted red peppers, muenster cheese and spicy mayo on a toasted baguette. I added a small side of their cucumber red onion salad, and all of that came with their homemade chips. The half portion of the sandwich was $6.50, and that was plenty of food for me. Sunday's does a huge carryout business and has a very loyal following of Ybor City regulars. The deli is open Mon - Thurs 9am - 7pm, Fri & Sat 9am - 10pm, and they are closed on Sundays and most major holidays.

First time eating at Sunday's today and it was great. I had the Asian pork sandwich and loved the confirmation of flavor. The service was pretty fast and very friendly. My he atmosphere was nice it was probably the one thing that could have been a little better, but overall it was a great mom and pop style deli with great food and homemade chips :-)

Dropped in for a Sunday lunch..and could have made it brunch in view of the wide breakfast menu with tempting ricotta-lemon pancakes and rum-nut french toast. We opted for sandwiches...good quality hot dog for 7 yo, chicken wrap for wife and great muffeletta for me. We thought the bread/wrap was good, and the home-made side fries were well seasoned, not bland now. Since business was slow, our order was taken and prepared promptly and with relaxed courtesy. Not much drink selection especially if avoiding sugar. Only water and Diet Coke are glucose-free. Prices are very reasonable and the indoor AC was most welcome on an August noontime.

On a Sunday stroll through Ybor, my husband and I made a stop here. We use Yelp a lot to decide where we are going to eat. Based on reviews so far, four stars sounded great! Plus two guys enjoying their beer and waiting for their food said we were in for a treat. We were sorely disappointed. We waited for a long while until we were greeted and asked to wait another moment. The man behind the counter hollered for the woman to take our order. She looked our way then went back to making sandwiches. Again, he yelled. Again, she peeked but turned back to her work. We started creeping toward the door. Finally, he asked if we'd been helped and we said no. So he took our order, while the woman just kept making sandwiches. We decided to share a large cuban with their homemade chips. He didn't collect any money and pointed us to the self-serve drink cooler. We waited for our food. Finally, we got what looked like a great sandwich made with Boarshead brand meat. But, it wasn't great The bread was...wrong. Bland. Dense. Too floury. It certainly wasn't cuban-worthy. A pressed sandwich it was, but the inside was cold, while the outside was warm. Either way, it was...bland. Tasteless. Even the pickles and mustard had no flavor. The chips were plain and boring too. We ate it and considered leaving. Because we hadn't paid. I wish I had that kind of mentality. But since we ate it all due to just plain hunger (which should have made the food taste better), we asked what we owed. The man was like 'I guess we can take your money' (not really, but his attitude and actions said that it was no biggie). And we left. Disappointed. Nothing would make me go back there. Not even a free meal.

I love sundays. The staff is great. I especially love the fresh baked bread. The chef makes it every morning. Two soup Tuesdays are also quite nice. Chef makes all soups from scratch. I like to go early in the morning to smell the bread baking and watch the chef make soups. He is such a nice guy. If you like french toast, you will LOVE Sunday's Rum Banana French Toast. Its by far the best i have ever had!!!!!! Their menu is extensive and creative. If you dont find something you want to try, come up with something. As long as they have the ingredients they will make it for you. The eggplant parm is delicious. THEY HAVE BEST OF EVERYTHING!!!!! If you get the chance you should definitely try them at least once, i promise you will go again!!!!!!!!!

I had seen Sunday's Delicatessen on Yelp and was intrigued, so when my fiance' and I were looking for a spot to grab lunch on a Saturday afternoon I quickly suggested Sunday's. I'm glad I did! The prices, first of all, are GREAT! We each got huge sandwiches with side salads (he went for macaroni salad and I did fruit salad) and drinks for $14 for both of us. I went for the California Club Sandwich (half portion). The HALF PORTION was enough for two people. Fiance' got an Asian pork sandwich (can't remember the name). Both were really delicious and fresh. I look forward to coming back and trying some more selections. Great spot for a quick and filling meal in the heart of Ybor City.

My first time at Sunday's Delicatessen today. Liked it a lot. Nothing fancy, but a great variety. I liked the open kitchen concept and that they make a lot of their stuff themselves. Had the Breakfast Sandwich and found that $5 was a reasonable price. Also tried one of the Ice Cream Truffles, not homemade and with $5 on the expensive side for the serving size, but still yummy. Will definitely go again.

Had the muffuletta and chips. Good focaccia, sliced thick; good meat, not as much olive salad as I like. Chips were house-made, kettle-style, well-flavored, neither greasy nor overly salty. Finger lickin' good.

Thank goodness the food was ok, but the attitude and service of staff would be a negative star if impossible to give. My sister and I came here for breakfast, placed our order and sat outside as it was a lovely saturday April morning. Never being there before, we didn't expect to sit and not be brought our food-instead the woman who took our order came outside to TELL us that our food was ready (mind you there was no one in line to service so she could have brought it out) so we had to come inside and get it ourselves. Upon reentering, there was another staff member singing loudly next to the entrance (doing who know what). All in all, do not come expecting service of any kind-the Ricotta Pancakes were good and they were out of what my sister wanted (can't remember now) but running out of a menu item before 9 am in a sat is poor planning. Won't be back

This place just opened within the past month. I first checked it out at the beginning of last week, and I've already been there 5 times. (I work a few blocks away.) So far, I haven't had a bad meal. The portions are huge, the staff is friendly, the food is ridiculously good, and everything is CHEAP! They could easily mark up their entire menu by 50% or more and still be a great value. A half hero is $5.00, which can easily be 2 meals, depending how big your appetite is. My favorite sandwich so far is the Buccaneer. The sandwiches all come with homemade chips, too, which are delicious. The chips have been over-seasoned a couple of times I've had them, but that may just be personal preference. I don't tend to like a lot of seasoning. A minor complaint, though. Not enough to dock a star. I can't say enough good things. This has quickly become my new go-to lunch place in Ybor.

Hard to believe they have been there over a year and I just heard of this place. Ordered delivery which came in under 20 mins (thanks). Had the Buccaneer sandwich which was excellent. The home chips were seasoned without being too salty. I spent maybe around $7 for a lot of food. Will be going again. Need to check if they have wifi, as I work from home and the inside of the resto seems like a nice place to do some work for a few hours.

We tried this place on a whim when we were bored on a Saturday afternoon. Ordering is a bit of a cluster. There is no printed menu and the choices are on two different blackboards on two different walls so you have to bounce back and forth while perusing.....I settled on the Asian Pork sandwich while my fiancee went with the California Hero... My sandwich was great! Huge portion! The Asian slaw was crisp and fresh and the spicy mayo was not too overpowering. The California (basically a club sandwich with avocado) was so good that I ended up eating my entire sandwich and half of the other it! Our bill was a pittance.... 14 bucks for two huge sandwiches including drinks and two sides (Macaroni Salad is where it's at). My only advice to the restaurant is to have printed menus and put their chalkboards next to each other on the wall!

One of my very favorite places to eat! The Italian Roast Beef is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, the portions are huge, and the homemade potato chips are great too. I highly recommend this restaurant! And the staff has always been very friendly to my husband and I when we dine there.

Another SAD deli experience. This is what I define as an ASSEMBLY deli meaning that they buy there products from a distributor (Boars Head in this case) assemble them to their menus specifications and serve. This business model works in most cases (IE. Subway, Jimmy Johns, Publix) because processed foods and flavors are much easier and consistent and don't require much skill to produce. Not to say that this method is BAD, but the art of a good deli is being lost and forgotten. As a culinary professional I want to taste an establishments own flavors and ideas not something I can purchase myself. Few suggestions; don't advertise fresh baked bread when its not (par baked bread is really stretching the truth), don't use boil in bag soups and say they're homemade, and when slicing meat especially Corned Beef you HAVE to slice against the grain of the meat or it will be tough and chewy as my sandwich was. Staff was very friendly and the space was open and clean.

My husband and I read about Sunday's Delicatessen in Creative Loafing. The article raved about the place, so we decided to plan our Saturday around going there for lunch. We first hit the Ybor Market and then walked the short distance to Sunday's. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We decided to share a hot Italian roast beef sandwich. It was HUGE! We each only ate 1/4 of the sandwich, so we really could have shared a small. The homemade chips were to die for, the sandwich was oh, so yummy! They recycle the cans/bottles of drinks that they serve, which I thought was pretty cool. If you are looking for a great sandwich at a great price, you can't beat Sunday's!
