Fopur of use went there for dinner last night. The service as very good as was the food. We tried the house red wine which was excellent. When we received the bill we couldn't believe that it was only $4.00 per glass. The food was very good. We ordered Renzo's Parilla which was a small grill that was brought to the table with various types of grilled meats and chicken as well as pork. It came with two sides and we chose Yucca Fries and mixed vegatables. Both were very good. We also ordered a side of gnoche which was excellent. This was more than enough food for the four of us. Price was extremely reasonable.

We had the meat sampler and it was great. The steak is amazing. The yucca fries were also good. The steamed vegetables were just from a frozen bag. And the decor could use some work. But the steak, oh the steak! So good. Not too pricey for the amount of food.

Loved the parrilla solo carne. Three types of beef grilled to perfection with two sides. We chose the fried yucca and tostones. Loved both! Highly recommend this restaurant!

The place is neat and clean. There are several TV's for viewing sports like the World Cup. The service was fast and the food was average. I would have to eat here a few more times to really give it a fair review. The server didn't seem to speak very good English. Even though it was in the middle of the afternoon and there weren't too many people in the restaurant our server wasn't very attentive.

This place is so good and they are great for parties! I can't wait till the patio dining is open! Make sure you order a parilla meat platter and try the tequenos!

Absolutely FANTASTIC food and personalized service, what a refreshing experience. The staff is extremely accommodating and WOW - outstanding food. The deserts are out of this world, made in house!! My new favorite restaurant in the Tampa Bay area.

The best meat for price in Tampa Bay!

Wow, how can you beat this place for the price vs quality? You just cant! This is no Berns or Eddie V's or texas de brazil. But the food is awesome and place is clean. Not romantic or high end but you can have a great meal for 2 for $60!!!! Go try it!

Renzos is a Argentinian grill hidden in a strip of businesses on north Dale Mabry. You would never know what it was unless you are familiar with their South Tampa location or you happen to need a haircut or a tan. I am a huge fan of Brazilian Churascos and this is very similar. Lots of meat and sides, all grilled to perfection. And something distinct to Renzos, you can get eggs with your meat anytime you want, which is a big plus for me! I had the Churrasco Al Polo, a pichana cut (beef cap) with ham, bacon, and eggs on top. I chose fries with my steak medium rare and it was delish! You may have passed this place a hundred times, stop in and give it a try, you'll love it. To the owner if he's listening, a couple suggestions: -Put "Grill" on your sign facing the street, let people know what you do. -Put a hostess station close to the door, you have to sacrifice one of your tables, but it's better than having your patrons feeling awkward when they walk into a place with nowhere to stand to wait for your employee. -Get your Yelp sticker on the door! Nothing is better than free advertising and reviews, Yelp can change your business. -Serve brunch all day sat and sun. You already serve eggs anytime, it wouldn't be hard to convert to brunch all day, and very few places do this. Just my two cents!

Best empanadas! A co-worker had mentioned this place to me and when I realized there was one by my home in Carrollwood I figured I'd try a new place and grab dinner to go. The restaurant itself is very crisp, clean, and modern. Decent amount of seating but not enough for a large group. I ordered grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, a beef empanada for lunch the next day, and caramel flan. HOLY MOLY! Everything was cooked just right! While the chicken wasn't sauce-y like I expected it had loads of flavor. The mashed potatoes where thick and homemade. The beef empanada and caramel flan? Well I went back again the same week to get another dose. I've had loads of empanadas since moving to Tampa Bay and this one takes the cake. Not greasy all, puff pasty like shell with hearty meat (not the Alpo mush filling some places try to dish out). Highly recommend!

Just had an outstanding lunch of grilled chicken, soup, and Russian salad! You should definitely check out this restaurant.

This was my first time here and I had a good experience. Was greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Came on a Friday night and it was a full restaurant. We ordered the 7 meat feast for two. The meat was juicy and well marinated. We got two sides with that spinach and yucca fries. Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Will come back again!

Had a great dinner with friends, ordered pair of the Renzo Parilla and it was excellent. Perfectly seasoned and done the way one ordered it. The house Malbec was a reasonable price at $15.00 a bottle. Overall an excellent meal and a great place to take out of town friends for some Latin flavor. Our waitress Alexandra was adorable and helpfull in English and Spanish.

Simple review - good food- terrible service! I keep giving them a chance because I like the food. However, I come out disappointed with the service every time! Train your staff Mr. Renzo!!!

Renzo's is a well-known Argentinian steakhouse located along Kennedy Avenue just to the east of Dale Mabry, and this is their baby brother location recently opened along N. Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. Renzo's can be found in the two-block retail center with Lee Roy Selmon's on the north end, and GrillSmith on the south end. Renzo's is roughly in the middle of that strip mall. Both Renzo's locations are known for excellence in grilled meats and fine South American wines. While they do have some pastas and salads on the menu, the primary focus is on grilled cow, pork, chicken, and sausages. This location has an L-shaped bar seating area with bar stools, as well as a large dining space with room for lots of tables and chairs. Unless they are super busy you just walk in and pick a seat, and your server will be right over with menus and silverware. I highly recommend a glass of their outstanding Argentinian Malbec (red) wine, but you'll find plenty of choices to please your palate and your wallet. The prices of the wines are very reasonable. They also serve sodas and iced tea with your meal. If you're with a group then you need to order their tableside grill and just prepare for a delicious meat coma. These combo platters come with a little bit of everything served on a flat metal grill that sits in the middle of your table. The seven meat "Renzo's Parrilla" sampler comes with skirt steak, flank steak, beef short ribs, top sirloin, chorizo sausage, grilled chicken breast, and a boneless pork chop for $30 as an example. If you're by yourself then you can order your favorite cut of meat, grilled to your liking, and served with two sides. I ordered the Brazilian Picanha also known as the top sirloin cap (culotte or coutlotte). That was cooked medium with a tasty side salad and well-seasoned fries for $14. The menu has a number of grilled meat sandwiches, salads, and a wide variety of fresh-off-the-grill favorites from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. This is not an all-you-can-eat feed bag special, but rather a nice place to enjoy some delicious meats with a glass of wine.

Renzo's is one of those places stuck in the middle of the long strip of stores right where Dale Mabry necks down one lane above the Handy/North Village intersection going north. I was expecting one of those South America "eat meat until you burst" places with the waiters walking around with meat on a spit but this was a sit down and order. What did I order? Diet cokes and the Renzo's Parrilla, which is basically "eat meat until you burst". Its a 7 meat sampler for two (hey, my wife was with me!) of the various cuts that are available with the other entrees, including beef, chicken and pork. It is brought out on a small grill that keeps most of the meat hot/warm until you get around to them. The last cut was starting to cool down when I ate it. Each cut had its own distinct seasoning and flavor, some like the skirt steak were a little chewy but the top sirloin, as expected, were the better cuts. They also serve a variety of sandwiches, both hot and cold. My wife finished up with the Tres Leches dessert, which she liked. There were indeed, outside tables but since this was still late September and somewhat hot outside, we choose the inside dining area. Traffic was a little light inside but started picking up around 6:30 pm. The service was attentive and good humored. The price was about medium, not overly high (two people around upper 40's). Going again: sure, some time soon.

Excellent and very traditional Argentine food. Great menu, wine selection and lots of desserts. They can even make sandwiches de miga to order. Food just like back home !!!

My expectatons were too high. When I see "passion for meat and wines" on the signage I immediately think this is a prime locale! Not! The decor was 1 step above any storefront restaurant. Seats are rocks. They had a decent wine selection but nothing to write home about. When I stood in line for a table the waitress said "sit wherever you want." I sat down and said waitress asked me to move (?).The food here is not great, it's ok. This is definitely a one and done for me. I ordered the NY sirloin with rice and beans. (Lunch special) While the food was piping hot, it was bland to taste. No salt and pepper on the table so I requested it. The chimchirri (spelling?) sauce was bland-o. The steak...welp...I ordered medium-well but got well done! It was like beef jerky gristle. As I write this my tummy is rumbling...maybe it's the beans. Uh oh!

Good steaks. I've been there three times. The first time I had a mixed grill for two with my wife. The second time I had skirt steak and the third time flank steak. Each time the meat was excellent. We had yucca fries once and yucca con mojo the other times. All good.

I have eaten at Renzo's before in Tampa on Kennedy, and truly enjoyed it. This time around I was excited since they had a small outside area, and of course my little doggie could eat with us. We had table side grill with the various meats and chicken and sausage. This time around though, I felt like either the meat was not nicely seasoned, or it was especially tough. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, and I could order something better next time, if there is a next time, but really, I was greatly disappointed in the food.

Completely average tasting food. We got the Churassco Steak which was $18 for less than a lb of skirt steak that tasted ok. It came with only s side of flavorless boiled vegetables. No rice no beans nothing else. For $18 we expected a bit more. So disappointed.

This place has such good food! Been 3x now for lunch with co workers, then went back with my husband one day. You get so much food for a very reasonable price as well.

Great service with a friendly staff. Overall the food was good for the price. We started with the Chorizo sampler. Tasted good except the morcella was only luke warm and not hot. We proceeded to the meat sampler and again the platter was great. The meat could have used a little more salt, but would satisfy most who like little or no salt on their food. The overall experience was great and we will be back for more.

What a sleeper. The Argentine style meats are smokey and savory. This is definitely a meat meal but the sides are tasty and have their own flair. The care to our meal was personable. We have returned several times and are never disappointed.

Not treated very warmly when I went in solo for take out. One waitress on duty, and it took her nearly 5 minutes to hand me a menu. Never actually greeted me or said, "I'll be with you in one moment." Just ignored me. Continued to walk back and forth to the two tables of people in the restaurant and tend to them. Which is normally fine. They were there first. However, it's good service to say hello and let the customer know you'll be with them shortly. Had they done that, I would've stayed. I left after 15 minutes of no service and no greeting. I speak Spanish fluently but look white. And I could be wrong (and I hope I am) but it seems to me this is just another restaurant that treats Spanish-speaking customers 100 x better than other races.

I was so happy when they got a north tampa location. The meat is divine!! The salads are delicious!! The sandwiches are sooo good! Everything I've had I have liked. We always go to the south tampa location for lunch. Th desserts are just ok though.

My wife and I saw this place a few weeks ago and it was packed, so we decided to check it out last night. Service was great, the food was excellent and the prices are good. We shared the meat sampler and it was very delicious and was way too much for us to eat. It says it's for 2 people to share but I think 3-4 people could eat this and still be satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

Just got home from eating at Renzo's. Not super impressed... The chimichurri which is the special sauce to any churrasco steak at an argentenian place was the plainest I have ever tasted. I have never tasted a bad chimichurri til now. Usually very flavorful with different medleys of flavor, this tasted like olive oil, very dry parsley flake, and a hint of pepper and maybe oregano. Tasted like what you dip your bread in at an Italian place. The meat was good except it was resting on a pool of oil on the parilla plate. But like I said, the meat, while overall lacking seasoning, was pretty good and tasted like decent quality. I just couldn't get over how bad the chimichurri was, I usually put it on everything, which I still did, just hoping for a compliment to steak, empanada, etc. but left disappointed. I'd like to try the other Renzo's on kennedy and give them a second shot for some good Argentenian food but I'll bring some of my own home made chimichurri just in case, maybe have the chef try it to get his 2 cents. Service was real good but considering there was only 3 tables at an 1 1/2 hours before they closed, I would hope so.

Simple, comfortable decor, excellent service, and a skirt steak (medium rare) that was among the tastiest meat I have ever eaten, tender and cooked to perfection. I will definitely return.
