As a frequent visitor to the original location in Lutz/North Tampa, I certainly had no issues checking out this second location that was opened earlier this year. My first try was unsucessful simply because they were just absolutely packed around 7pm on a Friday, so that's great for them and just made me want to come back again. Within a few days, they were a convenient stop for me to grab a late lunch. And then I realized on weekdays they start happy hour at 2pm. Taking advantage of the multiple options on appetizers for just $4, the pizza points were excellent and basically the equivalent of a small deep dish pizza with two sides of my choice served with a huge side of marinara sauce. They have a late night happy hour as well, so that may be the next time I visit this location to take advantage of those many specials on beer, wine or liquor. And they have a tremendous selection of those items from which to choose. Jackie gave me great service at the bar and works at both this and the original location, and the other late lunchers in there during my visit clearly like her as much I did.

Met some friends for dinner here for the first time. First thing out was the fried pickles which were tastey. Then it took a while to order and even longer to get the food. The food was mediocre at best. The kids meal chicken tenders were dry and salty. The over stuffed sandwich tasted like someone dumped a salt shaker on it. The fries looked good but was okay. My wife's meal was okay but she has felt sick ever since from the food. We will not be going back to this restaurant again.

Since my 1st review I have been back 3 times. Last time Fri Jul 24 The last 2 times being on Friday nights each time after 11:30pm. Was expecting a limited menu or even no food so late --- WRONG! Full menu folks! And I got a Hot Italian ( I call it a grinder) and the other time got a Hot Ham & Swiss on Pretzel Bun...BOTH sandwiches were awesome. Oh yeah, got a few wings each time ( fresh, never frozen) and they were very good as well. Consistant food, quality food, good prices and nice folks. And they have MLB package so you can get them to put any game on one of the zillion TVs.

Meh. I didn't have high expectations and Panini's is exactly what I thought it would be-bar food, family friendly atmosphere and inexperienced servers. And that is exactly what we got. We came here on a Saturday night around 630 and sat outside. It took awhile to get a server to come take our drink orders, but once taken we didn't have any issues with service. They have a decent draft beer selection but the food was mediocre. We ordered a turkey Reuben and a hot ham and Swiss. Everything came out quick but nothing was mind blowing. With surf shack being next door I think they have some stiff competition and need to have daily specials in order to compete.

Stay away from this place. Wings served in five minutes. No such way you cook wings fresh in five minutes. I have been to other location in lutz same crap food. Manager enjoying more drinks then I could when paying for service. Wanted to like this place but just can't after having bad experiences at both locations. They have tvs to watch game but my wife could give me better service to stay home and not waste money on crap corporate restaurant

They dumbed down Stone Chase for an oddly placed sports bar that even the average man cannot appreciate. This place could have made a good Show-Me's, or Hooters I thought. The TV angles are good, and the grubb very average and super greasy. Had the wings here, and couldn't stop thinking about how much better McDivot's and Dagwoods does it at near identical pricing. Without any weekly food specials, I can easily see this fare falling by the wayside to Surf Shack next door with their quality food, and unbeatable weekly deals. Good place to watch a game perhaps, but the season is over, and every other sports bar in the area has better food, so not sure why I'd ever be back. Let the kids have it!

Always experience pleasant and prompt service. Food is amazing and have deals almost everyday of the week! This is my go-to!

A-OK The previous review, which is now in the "not recommended" section mentioned screaming kids and high prices, but I have to disagree. Firstly, this place has been altered, and Stone Chase's former casual, but slightly sexy vibe is now gone. Somehow, they have transformed this space into a "family sports bar." When you walk in here, think Beef O'Brady's. However, on Thursday night at 8:45 PM, we witnessed absolutely no screaming children, or children for that fact. There are plenty of televisions that created enough background noise to muffle the sounds of kids anyway, so it wouldn't have been an issue. As for affordability, I felt everything was priced accordingly. Burgers are all around $10, and sandwiches range in price from $7,50 to $9. I originally thought the wings were a little pricey at about a buck a piece, but once I saw them, I realized they're pretty big and meaty. However, they're not as tasty as McDivots in the next plaza over, so if I were in the mood for wangs, I'd go over there instead. I had the ITALIAN CHICKEN sandwich, and I thought it was pretty good. It was basically a chicken parm sammich, add lettuce and maters. It wasn't the largest sandwich on the menu, but it was enough to get me full, It was accompanied by some over-cooked, hard and dry "pub chips," which I could have done without. They would have made Al Capone hella upset. I suggest upgrading to fries or slaw. Service at the bar with "Gemma" was a bit shaky. There was us, a couple to our left and a gentleman to our right with the world's most annoying Long Island accent. I'd say about 98% of her attention went to this guy. However, when she did engage us, she was very cordial. Speaking of the bar, there is plenty spirits. Lots of wines, vodkas and beers. Of the beers on tap, about 1/3 were local. I saw 3 Daughters, Big Storm, Pair o' Dice, Sea Dog and a few others that I cannot currently remember. Would I return? Most definitely. I wanna try some of their overly stuffer Cincinnati-style sandwiches. However, if they're going to survice next to Surf Shack, they're going to need some weekly specials, or they will fade out like Stone Chase did.

As the bartender and food was great, I could have done without the employee walking around with a "dip" aka smokeless tobacco in his lip, and a dip cup while behind the bar, and walking back and forth from the kitchen.

This was 2nd time here. Atmosphere is great compared to the old restaurant but the food is well, horrible. First time I had cheese that taste like it had windex on it and 2nd time everything was very dry. The waitresses seem to recognize this as the norm and they "do their best." The final straw was the mold found in the beer tower spout - just disgusting. It's a shame because the place has a great location and kid friendly. I give it less than a year before they close the doors.

TL;DR - nice looking sports bar, bad wings When I first walked in, I couldn't help but notice how nice the entire placed looked: tons of well placed big screen TV's, slick looking bar, and overall clean restaurant. This place has the makings of a higher end sports bar. I met my friends who were already at the high tops and was instantly greeted by a bartender named Laura who was extremely attentive and helpful from the second I sat down to the moment I left. It was still Happy Hour so we were able to take advantage of the $2 domestic beers and $3 select apps which we took full advantage of. The Blue Cheese Fries stole the show. Although it was just simply fries with blue cheese crumbled on top, it was perfectly fried the portion was big, and the seasoning was on point (think Five Guys Cajun Fries). We also got Potato skins and the Fried Pickles, both of which were good but pretty standard. I was originally going to get a burger but after filling up on the apps, I decided to go with the small order of 6 wings with their Cajun Dry Rub seasoning, one of over a dozen flavors to choose from. They came out perfectly fried and crispy however thats the only thing good I have to say about them. There was barely any dry rub on mine and it tasted like a bland chicken. I had to dunk my wings in the ranch to remotely enjoy them. The worst part of all is that they charge extra for ranch. It was only another 59 cents but I hate when restaurants nickel and dime you for things like that. They do the same with their burgers too which is another reason I didn't order one. They come with house chips but if you want fries (which all burgers should automatically come with), its at least a dollar extra. Now back to the wings. I also got to try another flavor called the Brickhouse blend, which they bill as their "unique house recipe." I'm 99% sure the main ingredient is just fancy ketchup because that's all I could taste. The Classic Buffalo and Spicy BBQ were also pretty meh. I suggest getting anything but their wings if you come here. It was dinner time, and the place was pretty busy by the time my group was ready to go so Panini's is clearly doing something right. I probably wouldn't come here for anything other than HH or to try their loaded fries which looked amazing. I was THIS close to asking the guy down the bar if I could try some of his but at that point I was too full. Until then, unless you live in Westchase, there are definitely better places to go. Cost: 6 wings, 1 app, 2 beers during Happy Hour= 15+ bucks.

Came in here for some drinks and apps. Not impressed!! I work in the industry and the bartender was alright, not much personality. The food (pub pretzels and buffalo bleu fries) were not good. Drinks were alright.

Enjoyed the pizza app. It was basically a personal pizza lol. I ordered the Reuben wrap. It was really yummy with the egg and potato. I split it with my friend. She dipped hers in thousand island dressing and I did the buffalo. Both sauces tasted good. I wasn't super crazy about the French fries. Overall, pretty good.

We live in the area and my husband was looking for somewhere nearby for some chicken noodle soup since he wasn't feeling well. We called Panini's and swung by because they had chicken and dumpling soup-sounded good. Wanting to pick it up and head home I placed my order for 2 soups with the hostess. She said it would be about 10 min wait. I thought to myself 10 min to dip up 2 soups??!! Really,? But I'd didn't say anything and mentioned I would wait outside. Needless to say 15 min later the hostess hadn't brought up the order so I went back inside. Another guy approached and asked if he could help. I told him about my order for soup pickup 15 min ago- he was surprised too it took that long. The hostess walked up and said oh let me get your order and left to bring it back. Needless to say I was NOT happy it took over 15 min to get soup and I had to remind of my order. Then to top it off when opening the soups at home one of the soups was barely 1/2 full (see picture). Well that solidified we won't be going back. I would only give Panini's about 6 months to stay open.

Not the worst place I've ever been to, but definitely not the best. With a name like Panini's I was expecting Italian but this place is basically a Beef O'Brady's type sports bar with way too many TVs. The menu is just your average run-of-the-mill bar food offerings - nachos, wings, pizza, and huge sandwiches. There is not a single "panini" on the menu. We tried the boneless wings and took advantage of the $2 draft happy hour special. I picked the spicy barbecue which I did not like at all. Our waitress was very sweet and brought me a new order with the garlic sauce. Although these were piping hot and, I found the breading on both orders to be thick and hard. We were nickeled and dimed on the celery, 59 cents each! For about a dollar and change you can buy a whole bag of celery at Publix. Additionally the keg temperature for the draft beers should be colder. The only thing I enjoyed was the french fries. Nothing special about them but they were hot and tasted good. Overall I'm disappointed, with the recent trend toward gastropubs and craft cocktails, I was just hoping for a little more in Westchase.

Round2 - Came in there during the weekend of May 15th, with 4 friends. Giving it another go. Fail! Unfortunately nothing was that great this time as far as food. Friends food got mixed up, the food was cold, girl gave us an empty ketchup bottle, and argued briefly that the pepsi was "NOT" flat lol. I had 3 people say it's flat. I was just letting her know it was flat and needed to be changed and just asked for another one nicely. Her response (terribly you never say this to a customer): Really? I thought it was fine. But we dont have any more pepsi left. She looked really young and probably her first time so i let that slide. Then the food came out. Everyone's food except mine was cold and missing something. This is my last time here sadly, i wanted to be there because place looks cool. For a Saturday it was not busy which was OK with me, less the better, so i expected the food to be better then last time. sorry, this place is done for me. 3rd time will not be a charm. I would advise a Bar Rescue, maybe a menu change, staff change with servers and cooks. :(

This place is amazing! Not only is the food wonderful... The management (Louie) and servers (Brie and Miguel) are extremely attentive and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure the experience is meaningful and perfect. Highly recommended! We brought our dog and they made it a point to keep filling her water bowl the entire time. You won't be disappointed!

UPDATE: 6/1/2015 We went back this weekend and it was DRASTICALLY improved from a service standpoint. We ordered quite a few varied items to try and get a holistic feel of the options. Our server/bartender was pretty fantastic. She tended a very full bar while also serving us. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks on draft. I was impressed with that and the beer selection and we'll at least be back for both sometime in the future. The food was a mixed bag though. The pizza once again wasn't good. We got the thin crust pizza and were very disappointed to see that it was just two tortilla wraps with toppings on top. That's something I can make at home in a few minutes and not anything I'll ever order at a restaurant. Why not make it with dough and roll the crust thin like a normal pizza joint? The bone-in wings were okay, with a pretty great sauce in the buffalo parm (slightly overcooked the wings, though). Boneless wings had WAY too much breading, even though they were cooked properly. Will stick with bone-in wings going forward. The one thing that'll bring me back for more than beer is that corned beef smash. That's was fantastic. Wish it had the option of coming with a wholewheat wrap instead of just white, but man that was tasty and inventive. Dipping into the buffalo was good, but i think thousand island would make a little more sense. The service, beer and the smasher will bring my gf and I back again to possibly try some other stuff. But, unless the pizza and tenders aren't changed I'll probably steer clear of those.

Very disappointed in the new joint in the neighborhood. A panini, traditionally, is supposed to be a pressed sandwich, typically with a ciabatta or other type of flat bread. An overstuffed sandwich on regular italian bread does NOT a panini make. This is just another generic sports bar with mediocre, greasy pub grub to stain our neighborhood. I give them less than a year.

Fantastic place!!! The world famous overstuffed sandwich is amazing!! Plenty of TV's covering all the current sports.

The service from Katrina was nice but the food was overpriced and flavorless. There were ton's of yuppies with their kids yelling at the tv screens. Not something I would suggest unless you like expensive fast food with kids running around.

First time there. Seated at booth that was still full of food and had not been cleaned. Menu had food stuck inside. Felt if they could not keep the booth and menu clean.......left without ordering.

Solid choice for a sandwich and a craft beer. Lots of TV's and high top tables. Great beer selection and decent pricing. Considering it's only been open a week or so, lively crowd and great service, and love the patio flame tables!

Amazing experience had the nicest server I could ask for i think his name was Michael and he really knew what he was talking about. Despite having a rude table walk out he kept his cool and didn't let it get to him delivering excellent service and bringing even better food. Would definitely recommend you stop in and try it out.

Very slow service... Tuesday night 9:15, barely 6-7 tables & it took them 45 mins to bring the foods (pizza! on a pizza special day!). Manager didn't take any responsibility & staff have no clue about beer prices. Food was OK though...

I hate writing bad reviews but this place deserves it. Nice atmosphere upon walking in. Bar looks like a fun place to hang out. Brought my family here for a quick dinner and was very disappointed in the food. I understand it's supposed to be bar food but the nachos were soft and I'll never understand putting canned cheese whiz on nachos. Just melt some good cheese, please. We assumed the green salad with tuna meant fresh tuna. Maybe our fault for not asking the question but a big ball of canned tuna mixed with mayo that was looking a little crusty around the edges was not our idea of a good tuna salad. Sorry won't be back here.

Went here the other night for the first time. My silverware had leftover food caked on from the previous person that used it, had to ask for a new set-strike 1. The server was not that enthusiastic & honestly seemed like she didn't want to be there-strike 2. They charge extra for everything, even a side of celery to go with wings-strike 3. We ordered the boneless wings. I asked for them to be naked but they already come pre-breaded. They have a great selection of sauces that were tasty though. Their fries seem to be cut & fried in house, tasted pretty good. They have not completely lost me though...the food was your typical bar quality fare & they did well with it. I would give them a second chance.

I found the food here to be pretty decent. I had pretty low expectations based on the other reviews I found on here. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and was pleased with the taste. The beer selection on draft was pretty great too. The negative side of this, however, was the service. We weren't promptly attended to upon sitting down. Once we ordered, our food was brought out, but the waitress never checked in on us to see how our food was, nor did she ask if we wanted another round of drinks (though the beers were empty). Nearing the end of our meal, another waiter came over and cleared the table, despite the fact that I was still eating off my plate. I actually looked around to see if there were hidden cameras somewhere with someone about to jump out and tell me I'd been pranked. I would consider eating here again, but would do takeout and never actually go back for a sit-down meal.

We had a welcome to the neighborhood coupon so we thought we would give it a try. Ordered onion rings as an appetizer and split a pizza. The onion rings were so so. When the pizza came out it was WAY over cooked and swimming in grease. Struggled to eat half of it and took the other half home. Looked at each other and asked "are you going to eat it"? We pitched it. In all fairness the pizza was free but it was terrible. Won't be going back.

This place up-charges everything. Vodka water with a splash of cranberry.... .50 cents extra for the splash of cran. Wings... Charged .59 each for ranch, blue cheese and celery.... Server never even asked if we wanted any of those sides. Read the menu carefully for meal side up-charges also. There should be a list of the "30 beers on tap" because playing the ask game is for the birds. I could go on, but I'm sure whoever reads this gets the gist. Food was ok. This place needs to stiffen their drinks if they want their patrons to ignore the extras.

Primanti Brothers style sandwiches. So if you are from Pittsburgh or South Florida you know how great these are. I'm excited I don't have to drive 4 hours for this sandwich anymore.
