A rude chef had to "move me" from my table because they had a reservation for the table I was setting on!! Unprofessional!! Food is ok and coffee is very good! Nice location also.

Went with my sister for lunch on a Saturday. I'm vegetarian now and there weren't very many options for me. The blue cheese and walnut crepe I did have was just ok, nothing spectacular. I was disappointed by my freshly baked raisin roll and my husband's chocolate twist. Both of them were quite dry. My sister's a fan of their chocolate croissants. They were sold out when we arrived. I guess I'll have to return to check them out. Hopefully, my next visit will be much better and I can amp up the stars.

We love the homemade chocolate croissants! The coffee is outstanding and the people are friendly. The food is outstanding. They do very little outside marketing but it is our breakfast go to. With a French chef how could you go wrong!

Great place... amazing pastries... and real French vive. The Cjef is NOT RUDE is just French

5 stars for FRESH everything. I had breakfast-eggs Benedict & to go order eggs on croissant. Bakery items fresh made and delicious. 5 stars also for stepping OUT of the box on seasonings for breakfast potatoes. Mouth party Coffee made to order (as it should be) on the espresso machine. Only recommendation: get a juicer and fresh squeeze OJ/grapefruit. Friendly eager staff. Thanks Yelpers for bringing me here in the first place.

To my surprise Chef Gerard sold Le'Eden to a Pricilla. She is recently arrived from France along with some of her staff. The menu remains traditionally French and the atmosphere is inviting. Their pastries delicious as always. I look forward to bringing a few friends for a bit of Bon Temps.

L'Eden has a nice atmosphere. It really makes you feel like the food is going to be good. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. I got the caprese sandwich. (It had a different name, but caparese is an accurate description.) The sandwich's insides were pretty good, but the bread was too crusty and hard for my liking. Also, the food took a while to come out and was a little over-priced. Finally, the sandwich came with nothing -- no salad, no side, nothing. On the plus side, every table has a bottle of olive oil. It's not great, but I might return anyway.

My co-workers and I happened upon L'Eden for lunch and we are glad we did. The food is authentically French and the coffee is fantastic. As a group, we had a bit of trouble finding a spot inside during lunch, but we were all accommodated at the bar. If you're a group of more than 4 at lunch, I'd recommend calling ahead or taking a longer lunch...this place is worth it.

I ordered the nicoise salad which was awful. It was canned tuna, canned green beens, slices of a hot-house mushy tomato and some chunks of what I expect were canned white potatoes on a bed of greens. The hard boiled egg was ok. My brother got the L'eden salad. It had a cut up chicken breast, and slices of what looked like Oscar Meyer pre-packaged turkey and honey-baked ham (not prosciutto, as the menu described). We were sorely disappointed. It didn't even taste good. The new england clam chowder and beer were ok though. I'd never eat here again.

Really good breakfast spot. Delicious made to order omelette came with a large fresh fruit salad. Chai latte was light, flavorful and very good. Server was extremely nice and welcoming. Only knock is the decor is dated. Overall, a nice breakfast experience in downtown Tampa!

Who would have thought that a cafe would serve an Egg Benedict made from an untoasted English muffin and 1/2 slice of a prepackaged ham slice?

My friends and I were hanging out downtown after hitting the museum and we decided to stop in for dessert and cocktails and coffee. We saw they had chocolate mousse and my friends really wanted to go. This is a great place with seating up front near the bar and if another room for seating in the back. The staff or owners were very friendly and helpful when my friend was asking about wine that would go with her dessert. My friend was so impressed with the pairing she made everyone else at the table try it and we all agreed it was a perfect match! I got a caramel machiato coffee which was great. It was nice to see another downtown restaurant open late (we got there around 9pm), because with the Tampa Theatre, the Museum of Art and the Straz are all within walking distance. I would like to go back and try their lunch or dinner items at another time.

I heard so many good things about this place, so my husband and I decided to try it. They are open til 3pm according to their sign on the door, and we walked in at 2:20 for a quick bite and were immediately sternly told by both employees "we're closed, we're closed, we're closed" the moment we stuck one foot inside the door. They were not closing due to a private party or any other reason. Just were rude and had no desire to have any additional business I guess since those were the only words that they uttered. I'd like to note. For some reason this has been stuck in my draft section and just finally posted from almost 2 yrs ago. However, I refused to go back in all all the time I lived just down the street. Never have I witnessed first hand something more disgusting of customer experience. 2 years later, I stick by my 1 star decision.

I didn't eat, so there is no grade for food. The grade is for the ambiance, the drinks, and the staff. Alex, very cute with his blue hair, was just delightful. Gave me tastes of the chardonnay until I found what I wanted. Chef came out and we chatted for a bit and it was just really nice! He showed me his restaurant and it is lovely. I hope to get back to Tampa so I can actually enjoy the fare!

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We got there at 11:00am and were initially told the chef was no longer preparing breakfast (that he followed his schedule strictly); however, he was kind enough to allow us to order breakfast. I had a croissant and an omelet (mushroom, asparagus, red pepper and swiss). The omelet comes with potatoes. The croissant was fresh and warm and the omelet was quite tasty. The potatoes were divine. Great coffee as well. I would like to go back and try lunch. Service was good.

Great place for breakfast. Great coffee and croissants. Nice atmosphere. Had the ham,egg and cheese croissant. Came with fruit bowl. Very fresh.

They have good croissants and that's about it. Service was the worst I have ever experienced anywhere! Chef was cursing and yelling at staff member who was late on the phone so loud that the entire restaurant heard. Then they proceeded to argue when the staff member arrived. It took thirty minutes to get my fruit bowl. My mom ordered oatmeal that on the menu claimed to be made with milk and she was served raw oats. The server said they do not cook the oatmeal. Would never go back here or recommend to anyone.

Very classy French bistro right downtown. Simple menu, mainly offering crepes, quiches, salads and sandwiches with breakfast and dessert pastries. Very efficient service turning over tables quickly and keeping them filled with workers on lunch breaks. My wife & I shared cheese/walnut/apple crepe, mushroom quiche and nice side salads at a very reasonable price. The iced tea was the fullest flavor I have had lately, and kawah coffees are available. Top of the line continental fare with pretension or euro-style budget busting.

Went here on a Saturday evening for dinner with wife and baby. There was a bridal shower in back so we were alone in front. The cheese plate was good but expensive. I had the Russian kabob and it was very good. I was surprised that the entrees don't come with any side dishes. Wife really liked here brie dish. The bread was hot, but a bit dry and not very tasteful. Wife had the chocolate cake for dessert and loved it. I had what I'd call bread pudding and it was dry but tasty until I found the mold. It had mold on the back of the slice so it is hard for me to believe that it was cooked recently. The waiter was very apologetic and quickly offered to replace for free. I didn't take him up on his offer as I was not wanting to stay any longer. The service was poor. Nice waiter but was not around very often which would be understandable if there were other patrons in the restaurant. Wife was happy overall but I won't go back.

I wanted to love this place. I love France, I love the French, I love French cuisine. This is mediocre at best. The bread is hard and dry and has no flavor, the pastries are hard and dry, and the entrees are just... bland. There's nothing impressive about this place. It's always full, though, so I guess some people like it.

Great paninis. Great salads. Bottled beer was 2 years after its "best by" date, it still tasted good though. Neat little place among the skyscrapers of downtown Tampa. We will be back.

From the other reviews, I was expecting a strictly French restaurant. For dinner, it seems like this place pulls out the world cuisines. It has a few French dishes, but the menu range from variations of American (Steak) to Tunisian (Couscous). In that respect, I felt a little limited in my choices and it appeared that the majority of dishes were made to be served cold. My partner got the recommended Duck & Brie Cheese Crepe (served hot) and I got the Chicken Madras (served cold). The Chicken Madras is served with pita bread, tomato, and cucumber slices. It was really delicious. The added apple chunks and cashews proved a excellent variation. The little I had of the Duck & Brie Cheese Crepe was pretty good, sweet since it is is served with a pineapple salsa. Other than the limited French choices, this place is great. I'd go back to experience their other variations. *It is recommended that you make a reservation. We didn't. The wait wasn't long (about 15 min), but if you plan on going, then make one.

This is an unpretentious French Cafe that serves the best breakfast in this part of town as far as I am concerned. The interior is pleasant and has large windows all around. They have a cute bar in the center. I had a a proper omelette, thin, with ripples, as it was shook while the eggs cooked, a la Julia Child. The croisant were buttery, flaky, and still warm. The "oatmeal" was really more like muesli, it was a nice surprise. The do traditional American that has link sausage and bacon with two eggs. Egg plates include home fries (see photo) these were incredible. There is a cluster of diners/cafes, nearby, this place is affordable "foodie" choice. * Édith Piaf as a sound track to bfast was nice. * Café au lait beat the crap outta SBUX.

This is not a fancy restaurant but a little neat place. We went for dinner, expecting a French bistro, but found more international menu items. We tried quiche, shaslik (kabob), and chicken madras. Everything was tasty!

Ratatouille was awesome. The olive plate would be good for a group, not by yourself. Call ahead to see if its busy, tonight is Wednesday and while the site says it'd be open until 10, on the phone the waiter told me they were closing at 8:30. Of course, that same waiter was still extremely friendly after 8:39. Seemed like there was online waiter so it was a little bit of slow service but I didn't mind. He even gave me a nice table in the corner facing the park because he knew I was dining alone (business travel can be the pits)! Enjoy dinner!! Oh yea- wine selection was bad and s was my Chardonnay....drink tea :) And they don't accept AmEx

5 stars for service, but 2 stars for food. I ordered the turkey tomato sandwich which was dry, bland, and hard to eat. There wasn't much of it and it was around $8. The hot chocolate wasn't very good either, but the portion was huge and was less than $3. The servers here are so lovely. They genuinely want you to enjoy your time and if you choose to sit in the outside garden area, then you can stay for literally as long as you like! Was so warmed by how pleasant they were, I tipped around 40%.

Favorite breakfast place in downtown Tampa - croissants and baguettes are fresh and wonderful. If quiche, chicken poblano soup and/or lobster bisque available, do indulge! Wish that they offered more French bistro basics, i.e., mussels, country pate, steak frites, as menu is more international. Charmiing ambience, particularly in the evening or early morning. Curtains on the windows would add to continental atmosphere, as well as block the hot sun during much of the year... Note to Chef/Owner: displaying your complete menus outside, rather than just the specials board, would inform potential customers of your full offerings.

I happened on the place for lunch while spending the day in Tampa. Ordered Tuna Niçoise salad. Portion size is generous. Tuna was dark meat--not my fave. Had potatoes replaced with artichoke hearts. Used house dressing. It was ok. Not that flavorful. The tomatoes, green beans, olives were great. Service by the young man named Lex was excellent. He's a passionate foodie and let me sample a dessert he made that morning. The look and feel of the place is modern European. Loved the line green accents. Would recommend for lunch any day. Wish I lived closer so I could come back and sample other items.

A big disappointment. I got the prosciutto and mixed greens but the greens was 85% iceberg lettuce and just 15% greens. Staff couldn't care less that I handed them back 85% of what I was served and paid $14 for. Prosciutto was dry, not fresh cut, and the other salad garnishes were from a jar.

Cool little place on a busy corner. Needed to get out of the hotel I am staying at for business and found this corner Bistro for lunch. Very fresh with a wonderful french flair. I had the smoked salmon on french bread with tuna over mixed greens and tomato's. My friend had a sandwich. Both were great and very reasonable for the quality as well as the portion. Nice find...

Food is average. Establishment does not honor prices advertised on web site and does not offer a happy hour as advertised. Do not recommend .

Ate here for dinner once on vacation in Tampa - would definitely come back. Really cute concept: a culinary tour of the world; the menu consists of around 20 dishes, each from a different country - kind of like fusion taken to the extreme. Service was great, although the food came a little slow (weird because we were the only ones in the place at 4PM) - I don't remember our waiter's name but he's a cute young guy and he's from Trinidad and very chatty and friendly! Onto the amazing french-style food: Lobster bisque (7.5) was delicious, piping hot, and perfectly seasoned. Went amazingly with the free bread, and with big chunks of real lobster. Shared the Australian rack of lamb (14) with my sis - it was impeccably cooked, so so so tender and aesthetically pleasing. I don't know what the seasoning was but it was a little strange for me and too tangy. I mean, I say that, but I still ate everything on the plate. They do not scrimp on the rosemary here, but it's not mashed into the meat so if you're not a huge fan you can simply remove the branch from the plate. Really nicely done, tender, and lollipop style too. Yummers... Duck and brie crepe (14): amazing - possibly more amazing than the rack of lamb. Tender duck breast and melted brie seems like a no-brainer, but I wasn't expecting the yummy garnish of pineapple, mango and herb sauce. I'm not gonna lie, I almost cried. The crepe was perfectly thin and crunchy, and the cheese was evenly melted onto the duck breast, which was perfectly cooked. I honestly don't know how this place doesn't get more traffic. It's a little slice of Eden, and I would definitely recommend it.

Been here a couple of times now- best little restaurant in the downtown area if you are in the area- try whatever the chefs is recommending- hasn't steered me wrong both times I have been here! Oh- pretty reasonable prices too.

Lovlovlove this place, food is excellent! They don't always have everything that's listed on the menu but even my second choice is never disappointing. Menu items change from lunch to dinner and both are delicious! ( Only disappointing thing for me was that they only have escargot for sprcial occasions.) Oooohhh and the cappuccino, yum! ..oh and the wine is great too, even the house selections for only $6 are pretty nice.

Their selection of veg*an food leaves something to be desired. I had to settle for a salad with oil and vinegar sent out in little condiment cups. It was a good, big salad, but it's just silly at this point to not get creative and have an inventive veggie dish, esp. for a place with this much attitude about its chef (if that term can be used at a soup and sandwich shop). I think they view it as below them as a "French" restaurant, but I hate to break the news to them that the only thing French about the place is the attitude. The owner/manager/man in charge was pretentious and unhelpful. The server was surprisingly very, very good despite what he had to work with.

Everything was great. I had a Duck and Brie Crepe. Who would have thought?!? It was delicious. Bill was less than $100. Best meal I've had for that price since ... Well I can't even remember when. Defiantly would recommend

Great Location, really great fresh food and friendly service. I have been there about 3 times, and although the first time it took a bit longer to get the food, it has always been fresh and delicious! The pastries, croissants, brioche and all the great french delicacies taste as the real thing...makes you feel in Paris again. Would definitely recommend. Love their crepes and their salads
