This is about the best Chinese Food in New Tampa. I've never had a bad meal here and I've eaten inside as well as ordered out. Today I had take out and I selected the Sautéed String Bean with Pork, which was like a ground sausage. The beans were fresh, not frozen. I also got an order of Thai Fried Rice which was mild and full of meat and veggies. These were not on the Lunch menu. They've got a great menu on their website. The inside service here is good but truly it is a great take out place. I've called in an order and driven through the drive through window to pick up. Meals are hot and good size servings and service is polite and experienced - they make sure you have sauces or plastic utensils before you leave.

This place actually has a nicer setting to it, then any other chinese restaurant that you go to. It seems more modern and upscale. Lunches are pretty reasonable at $7-10 versus $11-17. But both of what we ordered were pretty fried. Ugh, hard if you are trying to be healthy. I ordered orange beef. It was very good and tasty and huge. It had a lot of flavor. You can choose if you want it spicy or not. I can't handle that type of heat. My husband ordered the sesame chicken. Both of these lacked in veggies but there are other options that do have veggie options. Their servings are huge so next time we come here we will do just fine with one plate and split. That's seriously how big the servings are. Next time, we can bring Mocha our puppy, bc they have a pet friendly patio. How many chinese places have that. Not really any.

Food was very good. Family of four ate for a decent price. Portions were large enough for two.

I enjoyed Liang's China Bistro but not the ultra dim lighting. I couldn't see my food but perhaps that enhanced my taste buds. To summarize the food, I'd say it fancy Asian food. Fancy because of the decor and lighting. We had the BBQ baby spared ribs which was great. The fried pork dumplings not so much unless they gave us veggie by accident because that did not taste like pork! I should've known but the Tom Yum was rather disappointing. The entrees were large and was good. We had ordered a few things from the Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken (which was more or less the same thing), Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and Thai Basil Beef. Our server was friendly and helpful and has boxes to go around for the left overs! It ended up being a little pricey since there was a few of us but I cannot deny that it was tasty.

Authentic Aisian food! Great, great, fresh food! I always have to get their spring rolls, you get 4 and are hot and amazing, some of the best spring rolls I have ever had. For an entree, I get the Vietnamese Lemongrass Beef with whit rice. Has a little bit of kick to it, and it so yummy. My boyfriend always gets the Liang's BBQ Pork, also very yummy. I have never had anything I haven't liked. This location I believe used to be an old Burger King, I am so glad Liang's is now in it, they are always busy, but get you in and out. Good selection of wine, beer, and teas too. They have a drive-thru as well which is really convenient if you are in a rush.

At last! What could possibly be the worst Chinese restaurant in Tampa, maybe the entire state. Their cooking approach: Take old food-service processed stuff, canned and frozen stuff, add salt, add sugar, add grease. Then add more salt, more sugar, and more salt. And add more salt. Grease well, and add more salt. A few of our items: Spring roll was too greasy and was just salted shredded cabbage inside. Mixed vegetables: Not fresh, almost all broccoli, mushy, overcooked and gooey with too much cornstarch and too salty. The "white sauce" is like gelatinous salty snot. General Tso's chicken: Way overcooked, mushy, way too greasy, old, made with that "pink slime" rubbery processed chicken. Too much sugar and too much salt. Rice noodles: Overcooked and pasty from too much stirring. This food is worse than the worst little storefront take-out slop joint. But, that's what people have come to expect from low-grade Chinese junk food. I would not recommend this place, even if you were starving.

I'm surprised by the popularity and high ratings of Liang's. I've never had a chance to eat inside the restaurant, but have had food to-go about 4 times. The food is nothing to write home about. It's better than Panda Express, but that's it. I usually get the Dan Dan noodles, but it's so packed into the container, that it just comes out a gummy mess. Also, the noodles to sauce ratio is horrible. You just need half the amount of sauce for the noodles they put in. I usually like egg drop soup, and this place's version is ok enough. Again, nothing to write home about. My husband says their Mongolian beef is also ok. The only exception is that my brother loves their lo mein. Overall, just an okay place to eat. Not sure what the raves are all about.

The "General Tso" (all white meat) chicken is just $8.99 for lunch. I always have food left over which is fantastic straight out of the fridge. Just be warned !! THERE ARE HOT PEPPERS in the mix that are in fact very hot... All of the employees are so very pleasent and efficient. Rub the lion's nose upon leaving for good luck ! We have eaten there for years and have always been very pleased...

Fabulous meal! Just finished a delicious meal with my husband and niece. We picked my niece up from USF and she decided she would like a chinese dinner. We had read about liang's bistro in yelp and looked forward to trying it. Initially, we were surprised as we drove up. It looked like a take out joint. We went in anyway and were very pleasantly surprised. It was beautiful with lots of booths and tables. Service was fast, friendly and accurate. The food choices were plentiful. We enjoyed the egg rolls and steamed dumplings followed by general tso's chicken, ku pao chicken and my husband had the seafood golden nest (w lobster, shrimp, scallops and crab. He asked for no peppers - it was no problem. All 3 of our meals were wonderful. We can't wait to return.

Well, for what I thought was the end of an era, begins anew. This place is not only very cozy inside, but the service is great as well. We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to BJ's Club. It is a sit down style Chinese restaurant, but has a lot of other Asian flairs. Be careful though...don't order too much...they give you enough to feed all of the children in Sally Strother's commercials! ha. But, quantity isn't as important as quality and Liang's has both!!! I got the Teryiaki steak and the Special Fried Rice and I am still craving it. So, for a treat if you are in the area of Bruce B. Downs and I-75, you must stop in and experience some great sit down Asian cuisine!

Tried this place for the first time last night and I was surprised at how many options there are on the menu. Our server was very polite, charismatic, and friendly I would definitely recommend for a casual dinner atmosphere.

WOW! I was SO IMPRESSED with this restaurant! I've been gone to many "American Chinese restaurants" and I grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. I would consider Liang's China Bistro is my #1 best restaurant. I would recommend anyone try this place. Every time, my friends and I dine out at Liang's China Bistro, we shared our plates and it was heavenly! The price was RIGHT! Appetizer: Liang's Lettuce Wrap Dinner: General Tso's Chicken (requested for WHITE MEAT) I asked for more spicy too! Sesame Chicken (Requested for WHITE MEAT) Orange Peel Beef Liang's Seafood Trio There are so SO MANY excellent food on the menu I would recommend you to try this place and you won't be regret! Enjoy!!!!!!

Liang's is upscale American Chinese in the dining room and is a little bit more like Panda Express (but just a bit) if you go through the drive-through lane. You can't order at the drive-through; you can call from the parking lot (or elsewhere) or walk in to place your order, and then you can pick up in the drive-through lane. But you'll be missing out. The vegetable spring rolls will be filled by hand and fried up hot and crispy either way, but if you're in the dining room they'll be sliced on the bias to yield 4 pieces that present a wide surface for dipping sauces, and they'll be served with delicious pickled vegetables. Get it to go and you get two rolls, unsliced, with no pickled veggies, served in a wax-paper sleeve. Still, the food you'll eat will be delicious either way, and Liang's dining room has an elegance unmatched by most New Tampa joints. One of the best meals you'll ever have this close to the interstate.

LOVE this place. We've been here probably about 3 times, all three visits have been great. Lunch specials (M-F only) are super affordable. Around $7.50 and your options include chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu (not on menu, but they will substitute tofu if you ask) Lunch specials come with a soup or salad (yummm) and your choice of rice (even veggie friend rice or brown rice!) The salad, I have to say is really good. They use this sweet dressing and put those fried flat noodles on the top. Salad usually includes lettuce, onions and carrots. Inside is nicely decorated. Cloth napkins a plus. The garlic dish and basil something are both really good luncheon specials :) They will customize to your spice level if you ask, we like extra spicy, but that might be too spicy for most (sometimes it even makes MY nose run!) Fast friendly service.

If you order think of it as ordering from a regular Chinese food establishment. If you order fried rice it could definitely feed 2-4 people. If you want spare ribs as your meal let them know that or it will come out as an appetizer.

I recommend this place. I've been twice so far (take out and dine in) and both experiences have been good. I've only had the chicken chow fun - spicy. It is now one of my new favorite Chinese dishes.

As I look over the reviews thus far, it's kind of comical how so many can have a difference of opinions. Some good, some not so good. Well, here's my opinion: My wife and I have eaten here several times but this is my first review. Just got home from their about 3 hours ago. First off, the decor inside is truly beautiful. Plenty of seats but you don't feel like your right on top of the next table. We started off with the Liangs Bistro egg rolls which in my honest opinion are the ONLY egg rolls I will eat in Florida with the exception of my own home made egg rolls. I don't know what they do to them but they ALWAYS come out so tasty. If you go, you HAVE to try them. For dinner we ordered one portion of the Liangs Beef. I say one portion because they give you so much food that my wife and I can share a plate (and still bring some home) The Liangs Bistro is cuts of beef batter dipped and deep fried. The sauce it's served with is a delicate sweet sauce. Truly a good meal. Sometimes we get the Liangs Chicken. Same concept but with chicken. Both are good choices. The sweet tea they have is an ancient honey lemon sweet tea. Great on a hot or cold day. I would definitely try this place if you haven't already. I don't think you will be disappointed

Another great chinese place near where we live. The food is excellent. We get the pickup which is a drive-through which is really convenient. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is they are pricey.

Best Pad Thai with chicken. One order is enough for three meals. Have great drive thru take out because the place used to be a Burger King. Nice enough inside however. I probably eat here once every 6 weeks. Also has a little outdoor seating area with umbrellas.

Very clean and quiet on the inside. Service was good as well. Food on the other hand was just Okay in my opinion. They put way too much salt on the 2 entrees we had (mongolian beef, beef chow fun). Mongolian beef was extremely salty. The onions were very hard and kind of ruined it for me. My other dish was the Beef Chow Fun. Beef on both plates were pretty good just again too salty. The chow fun was too soft and easy to fall apart in my opinion and made me feel like it was over cooked. Before the entrees we ordered the salt and pepper calamari appetizer. Even though the word salt is in the name, it was not salty at all. All the do is put a couple green onions on top and serve it to you. One of the worst appetizers in my opinion. It also took at least 15-20min to come out to us. Luckily we were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us much. Total time we stayed was a good hour or so. Was very empty inside so maybe we just came at a bad time? I will go again but try to order completely different items. Makes me just miss yummy house's food after eating at this place. Environment / service 4 stars Food: 2 stars

Good food! I'm from San Diego where Chinese food is possibly the worst in the country. It's refreshing to have good Chinese food again (and General Taos Chicken)

  • Daniel D.

Disappointed. 2.5 stars. After reading the reviews, I thought this place would be great. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it was about as good as something you'd get from a typical Chinese take out place but for 4x the cost. The service is typical, and the ambiance is tacky. I wanted to give this place 3 stars because it's not bad, but I couldn't find any reason to justify it.

Ding Ding Ding!! We have a winner! Since moving to Tampa, I've been trying to locate a basic Chinese food restaurant that I can turn into my regular "eat there a couple times a month" sort of place. I thought Yummy House might gain that title, but I wasn't completely impressed. Plus, the drive, though only a few miles, tends to take forever for take out. Luckily, I stumbled upon this gem after reading a few good reviews and finding out that it's location is only a few miles down the road from my apartment. Upon entering, the staff at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. I told them I wanted take out, and they instantly handed me a menu and was ready to take my order. Looking around, the place wasn't busy, but it had a nice casual vibe to it. For my order, I decided upon the general tso's tofu. Back in Columbus and Pittsburgh, my local AND FAVORITE chinese restaurants make the best general tso's tofu EVER, so this place had a huge void to fill. I also got the steamed dumplings. The dumplings were awesome and they also gave you a little side of pickled veggies, which was an unexpected but delicious add-on. Delicious by itself or eating it with the dumplings or general tso's tofu. Yum! The general tso's tofu... I'd probably give it a 5 out of 10. This is because I've never eaten it the way they prepare it. Apparently they bread the tofu prior to frying and I can't eat breading so it was a bummer. After picking off the breading and salvaging the tofu, it was good. The sauce was delicious and the brown rice was cooked well. I refrained from writing a review after my first visit because I like to give a place a second chance if I wasn't overly impressed with the first go around. So here goes... my second visit I ordered the exact meal and specified that the tofu just be fried without breading. The one server swore up an down that they never bread their tofu (wrong.) However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the tofu was flash fried (maybe a little more for my liking, but still good) and no breading in sight. The girl server that took my order made sure it was made properly and I am very appreciative. The dumplings, like before, were delicious and the pickled veggies of course made me even happier. All in all, good food and good staff. If I had to choose one complaint, it would be the price it slightly higher than other places. However, I can deal if I'm getting a good meal (ha... that rhymed).

DEEEE-LICIOUS! I love coming here for lunch as their lunch special is under $10 with drink and you get sooo much food! I usually get the Ku Pao Chicken with fried rice along with their hot and tasty Hot and Sour Soup. The soup is delicious and the chicken they use is so fresh tasting along with the whole dish. The serving size is perfect when you're really hungry, but it's so good you might just finish it in one sitting! I sometimes order eggrolls too and their eggrolls are great too! I would definitely recommend Liang's because the environment is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. I am so happy to have such an awesome place to enjoy delicious Chinese food! We have also gotten take out from Liang's and it's just as good as it is eating in the restaurant. Their service is fast and they have a drive thru window to pick up your order. =)

I don't eat Chineses food much, but when I do this is my favorite place to go. I like the upscale feel of the the restaurant. It's realitvely small inside compared to surrounding restaurants in New Tampa, but the service is fast so the wait is minimal. They have the best pan fried pork dumplings I've ever had. All forms of their fried rice are delicious. My son's fav is the Vietnamese fried rice. I've dined here a number of times in the 4 years living in New Tampa and have enjoyed each appetizer and entree.

I feel so lucky to have this restaurant a couple miles from my house. I love this place! Best Asian food I have had. Local friends rave about Yummy House but this is BETTER, way better.

The third star is for the clean restaurant. The food is 2 stars. It reminds me of PF Chang's but closer to my house and not as crowded. The service is great the 2 times I have been. The food it pricey for what you get but it does taste good. I was unhappy that they serve fish that isn't on the bone. The fish came out drier and not as tasty because it was a fillet.

Japanese fried rice is sooo good. Everything I have ever had here is excellent. The coconut prawns were only OK, but everything else is well above average!

The food is really good but I'm a Yummy House person. We had the crispy cheese puffs or better known as crab rangoon the filling is really good. I had the tropical chicken the sauce was a little sweet for me. My wife had the curry chicken which was suppose to have a kick she said it didn't. Seemed to take along time for soda refills and for the check to be brought out.

It's Chinese take out gourmet style! They give you a large portion of food. The entrees always come out flavorful and fresh. We've been here three times already and always come here when we crave Chinese food!

If you're looking for some awesome Chinese take-out, look no further--Liang's is some of the best I've ever had. The portion sizes are about double those of Pei Wei or any other typical Asian take-out place. I ordered the classic General Tso's Chicken--extra extra spicy, of course--with brown rice. It was a little over $12, but that's a bargain considering that it was about a pound of delicious food. I can eat a ton, and I had plenty of food leftover for the next day's lunch. Liang's is excellent.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME FOOD!! The Sweet Tea is sweetened with honey making it amazing!! The Hot & Sour soup is the best i've ever had.. i could go for some right now lol So sad we moved an hour away.. I miss their food so much!!

WOW!!! It seriously doesn't get any better than Liang's Bistro! This place is one of the most amazing restaurants I've ever been to! Friendly staff, nice relaxing atmosphere, good menu, great decor, fair pricing, and most importantly AMAZING food!! My girlfriend took me here as it was a place that she frequented in the past and I was just blown away! Everything was exceptional, but their Sesame Chicken was unlike any I've ever had. I'm sure they make their own sauce. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who likes GREAT Chinese food!!

Excellent food. Quick seating, very good service, and it's great that they offer drive-thru pickup service as well. With that said, the highlight of this place is obviously the food. Some of the best in this genre you'll find in Tampa. Prices are reasonable, decent location for those living in New Tampa area. Now that I live downtown, I just hate that I never get a chance to eat there anymore.

This is one of my favorite resturants in New Tampa. The portions are huge and everything is delicios. The spring rolls for an appitizers are my favorite and come with vinigered vegetables. If you get this to go, be aware, they will charge you for the veges. The prices are a little expensive if you decide to take it to go, but well worth it.

I do not know why I keep trying to order takeout from here because everytime I do I regret it because they are very rude over the phone and at the window. Now when you are dining inside they are nice to you but the food is okay especially when you compare it to the many other great Chinese places in New Tampa. Just a little further north up BBD, SushiKo offers more robust authentic Chinese cuisine, and in my view fresher ingredients.

Outstanding! Not your typical Chinese restaurant. Everything is fresh. Meats and vegetables are fresh and are high quality. Wait staff are polite and nicely attired. Not something typically found in a Chinese-Asian style restaurant. The menu has many of your typical Americanized Chinese dishes. But more importantly are the fresh and unique flavors like their light and fresh lettuce chicken wraps as an appetizer or a light meal. Or try the black pepper or Thai basil leaves flavors over your preferred meat. Fresh, light, and original.

I just happened across Liang's today, and I think it is a great find! The atmosphere is pleasant and definitely fits that "bistro" theme well. The menu was a bit more upscale than your run of the mill Chinese place. I had the pork dumplings, which were well prepared. For the entree I tried the Walnut Shrimp, and I absolutely LOVED it! The pineapple sauce was tropical without being overly sweet, and the candied walnuts with sesame seeds were just delightful. The service was attentive and generally fast. I usually manage to empty my beverage is short order, yet they also kept my glass filled. Granted, that was at 4 PM on a Thursday afternoon, but it is a small effort that goes a long way with me. I will definitely return!

Liang's is one of my favorite Chinese restaraunts around the Tampa area (there are few good ones...) for its great food, easy access, and great atmosphere. The atmosphere is low-light, well-kept, clean, and elegant which makes it a very good place to take a date. The tables are set up with just enough space in between to allow for private dining, and there's patio seating outside for those that like that sorta thing. They offer a variety of Chinese dishes including my favorite Sesame Chicken (all white meat with light sauce) and my most favorite of desserts: banana spring rolls! They are a MUST try! The staff is friendly and efficient. You rarely need to wait long for service, and they're good about checking back without being overly intrusive. They work well together, so you never need to worry about asking any of the staff for assistance. They'll gladly jump in. Overall, quite the place for a Friday-night meal that won't break your wallet in half either. Check it out!

I have been coming Liang's Bistro for YEARS and I have never had a negative experience. The food is delicious. Most of the dishes are your standard Asian fare, however with a unique interpretation and that's what makes Liang's so special. One of my favorite dishes is the Sesame Chicken. The sauce tastes like a combination of barbecue and sesame sauce. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxing and the wait staff cracks me up.

This place is pretty good. All the chicken is very similiar though (tropical, orange, etc.) but awesome. The place is really dark and has a cool vibe to it. I don't know how authentic it is, but still is pretty good. My husband and I always split our meal because it is just way too much food. Try the teriyaki chicken skewers....you'll thank me.

I would not recommend it to my worst enemy! Maybe my experience should be considered an outlier, but I still caution anyone to stay away from this place with high cholesterol. As a party of 2 on a Saturday night we waited 30+ minutes. The place was very loud and crowded and we were practically part of the other parties (like in the movie Valentines Day). We asked for tea and all we got was a pot of hot water and a Lipton tea bag, WTH is that? That is not how asians drink tea! That was the 1st sign that this was for sure an Americanized franchised chain. Our food came out with what seemed like an entire cup of salt, or probably MSG. The portions were large, but lacked meat. Our service was also below par, once we received our bill, it took another 20 minutes for our server to return for our credit card. I would not return again even if I had a gift card. Sorry Liang fans, but if you want some authentic Chinese, check out Chopsticks on Fletcher Ave. - Tampa, FL

This place is out of this world! Hands down the best Chinese in the area. You really can't beat it! My favorite is either the sesame chicken or general tso (with white meat). It's also pretty nice and convenient that they have a drive-thru. I would absolutely recommend them.

Liang's is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area, although it's more like Asian fusion and they embrace that label. I used to frequent it for lunch when I worked in New Tampa and also, a couple of other times at night. It is always pretty busy but the wait time is usually minimal. It's a pretty well-oiled machine. The restaurant itself has a nice, contemporary decor. Service is always excellent. Most importantly, the food is good. The menu has plenty of options to please just about anyone. It has some items that are Korean, Vietnamese and Thai but obviously, the majority of the menu is Chinese cuisine. I've never had a bad meal there. The portions are large so you get good bang for your buck. They have a tasty drink/dessert menu. There's even a drive through! What's not to like? Everybody chow fun tonight!

I can't believe I've lived in the New Tampa area for almost 14 years and never tasted the amazing-ness that is Liang's China Bistro. :O I finally ended up here because one of my friends wanted to treat me to dinner and catch up. We did not make reservations but we were seated within 15 mins on a Saterday night (around 6:30). The ambiance of was perfect for a "catch up dinner". The waitress we had was very attentive and helpful. The food brought out very promptly within 15 mins or less (lost track of time lol). We ordered the egg rolls as an appetizer which was... hands down the best egg rolls I've ever had. The dipping sauce was sweet and the perfect combination. It also came with some pickled veggies which were a nice touch. My friend ordered the seafood trio which had the best flavoring for a seafood dish. Not too salty and not too bland. Also the portion size was pretty large. I ordered the beef chow fun which had a generous amount of meat and also a great portion size. I honestly don't know if I can eat Chinese food from anywhere else ever agin. The food was pretty comparable to PF Changs (which is also great) but it was more of an intimate atmosphere which I appreciated. Overall great experience! Plan to be back very soon. :)

We just had to see Jurassic World, but of course we made the decision last minute, and the show time was right after lunch. So, we needed to get some food fast, but not fast food. Emilio M. and I wanted to go somewhere close to the Muvico theater, and ran through some options. He loves Chinese food, and those place are usually pretty quick. Therefore, we decided on Liang's China Bistro. Liang's is located off of Bruce B Downs (BBD), near Steak 'n Shake, Chick-fil-A, and Bay Breeze Car Wash. They actually have a drive through, but there is a limited selection. We were not in that much of a hurry, though, so went inside. I had been there once before, and I had a good memory of the restaurant. I was hoping this trip would be the same. The inside is nice and well-maintained, and it is a cozy size. The menu is a typical of an American Chinese restaurant. General Tso's, sesame, and pineapple chicken, dumplings, fried rice, and shrimp. They also have pad thai, filet, and ahi tuna. I had my mind set on the lunch combo of beef in garlic sauce, but was sadly denied. Why? I was told those are not offered on the weekend, but there was nothing saying that on the menu. I was thrown off, and was not sure what to do. It was worked out that I could still get beef and garlic sauce, but it was not a combo. I also had the idea of getting fried rice, but was given the choice of brown or white rice. I think the whole ordering experience really through me off, unfortunately. Emilio ordered the pineapple chicken with no problems. Despite the bumps in the road, the food was good and our time constraint was met. Our server was friendly and attentive. Other than the order debacle, Emilio said it reminded him of a fast food type of place. However, I think it is worth a try, and we will probably go back.

Decided to try this for dinner the other day. The prices are pretty similar to P.F. Chang's, but portion sizes are much better. We had the bowl of Crab Corn Soup which was enough to feed 4 people for around $7, as well as the fried rice made Japanese-style which was tasty although the portion size was only enough for about 2 people or a little less than that. You may need to order a main dish to get full - I was looking at the Mongolian Beef, but ultimately did not get it. Next time I may try for sure though. One of the most interesting things about this place is that it has a drive-thru, which is odd and sort of cool for a dine-in restaurant. I may have to try that someday. The service was excellent and our server did everything possible to make our experience a positive one. Overall, pretty good food, but a little on the pricier side.

Located on Bruce B. Downs in New Tampa between Chick fil A and Hess. I was skeptical at first when I saw the drive thru attached to a Chinese restaurant. Do not let that fool you. The hubby and I went in several weeks ago to give it a shot. The restaurant has more than ample seating and we chose a cozy booth over by the window. The menu offers a variety of dishes and a lunch special Monday through Friday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (except holidays) Choose three ingredients: Chicken (white meat), Beef, or Shrimp -- then onto sauce: Black pepper sauce, Thai basil leaves, Vietnamese Lemongrass, Ku Pao Sauce, Wok Tossed with Broccoli or Mixed Veggies, garlic sauce or black bean sauce. Served with white, brown or fried rice and salad or soup. We split an order of egg rolls and the orange chicken with all white meat ($1.00 extra). Pay the extra for all white meat. Chris W., you are so very correct! The BEST orange chicken I have ever had. No gristle or fat with the right amount of sauce. Ask for extra rice otherwise they only bring a tiny cup for two people. We really liked this restaurant but have to knock off a star because of the slow service. They were not even busy and heck, they have a drive thru. My husband finally asked after an hour if they forgot our order? Will be back -- want to try the lunch specials.

Good: AMAZING FOOD, Friendly Service, Huge Portions, Clean, Other customers are very polite, AMAZING SERVICE All the Way Around! Bad: It's a 20 minute drive from my house, lol! But, it's WORTH IT! Overall: We LOVE this restaurant! You get HUGE portions & the quality is amazing! Service is so professional, kind, courteous, friendly & over-all outstanding! I can't wait to go back!

Tried veg pad Thai noodles.. Didn't like the food that much.. I couldn't find any roasted peanuts in the item at all.. Plus the server was really polite and helpful. One complaint though. She actually smelt the food to identify one of my friend's order.. Thought that was odd and a bit unexpected..

I've had food from here a few times. Their prices are a little higher than some other places, but their portion sizes are quite ample. I've had the Dan Dan noodles and Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was quite good. It had a strong acidic tang and was not overly sweet like some of the other ones I've had. I do wish they could have made it spicier for me, but the sauce they had on the side was fine. The Dan Dan noodles I had for take-out. My main issues is that they were unlike any Dan Dan noodles I've had in the past. I believe maybe they were aiming for another type of dish, so I really missed out on the strong Szechuan flavors that I'm used to having. They tasted fine overall and had a nice mix of flavorful ingredients.

I wish the general tso chicken was spicy, as I anticipated. Overall, I was excited for really great Chinese, but I ended up with an average meal. I think I was expecting more flavor overall. I also ordered the crab puffs, and felt the same when it came to the flavor department. Maybe I will try again and eat in when I am in Tampa.

So, I have to admit I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be with Liang's. I've had take-out from them, I've had friends who have loved it. I wanted to like them. Positives: for the outside appearance? The inside was nice. You don't see sit-down Chinese restaurants like this often. The egg rolls were indeed excellent, I agree with many others on that and the presentation was top-notch (in-store). However, there were some things that weren't so great. 1) No lunch special on holidays included president's day - which the waitress decided to wait to tell us until after we had placed our appetizer and drink order and she was delivering the drinks to tell us. That's fine ... except the county had school today, and most people didn't have it off; I'd also have appreciated knowing before I was about to place my entree order. 2) The wonton soup we ended up ordering was good, hong-kong style so filled with vegetables and shrimp, but ... managed to be bland. 3) The kid's choices are limited when you don't offer the lunch specials - two choices, just chicken, neither particularly healthy 4) The service wasn't that great - it was hard to get refills on the beverages, the check at the end, etc. We will probably continue to get takeout from here, or go through the drive-thru.

I've never been a huge fan of Chinese food (too damn greasy!), but this is a place I actually have come to crave. We usually get the same thing when we go- an appetizer of cheese puffs or a soup (Thai Tom YuuuM!, wonton, and Sweet and Hot are all delicious options). Order the BBQ pork and you'll end up eating more than you planned because it is simply great. General Tso's chicken, Orange peel beef, Pineapple chicken, Pad Thai, and the chow fun are also insanely delightful to my taste buds.

Awesome dishes and their Tom Yum soup is like no other Tom Yum soup I have had before! They have pineapple in it and when I saw that on the menu I groaned to myself and ordered the soup anyway because Tom Yum is my favorite. Well guess what? The pineapple made the soup incredible!! Completely not what I expected at all. We have tried a variety of different dishes- General Tso's chicken, chicken pad Thai, vegetable rice stir fry- all very reasonable. I didn't care for the egg drop soup - was a crazy neon yellow color- but that is just me. The restaurant has a very nice and well laid out floor plan for dining- very clean and well maintained. They also offer food to go (pick up) and they have delivery too but require a minimum order (I think maybe around $20 of food) and took over an hour to deliver the food. That is just too long of a wait for us especially once you are hungry. Now one cool thing that they do have, and I have never seen this at any other Chinese Restaurant is that they have a drive up window to pick up your order, so you don't have to park and go in to pick up your food! Great place and I highly recommend this place for sit down or pick up orders.

Depending on what you order, this could be a great or really bad restaurant, i ordered the dynamite shrimp, didn't taste like p.f chang's dynamite shrimp, not that it was bad, it just wasnt even the same dish, the sauce was bland. The crab and corn soup was ok, the pepper steak was ok. The best thing about this restaurant was the sesame chicken,I ordered it with white meat, it was the best i've ever had, the chicken is so tender and fresh and the flavor is just right, the fried rice was also great. Definitely coming back but only for the sesame chicken and/or orange chicken.

The food was mediocre, not flavorful. I was disappointed especially since it is so expensive.

Seriously. ... love. . love. .. their feed. My favorite is the Hong Kong wonton soup. So delicious with large shrimps, pea pods, chestnuts and wontons. If you love wonton soup... this is a must try! They are a bit expensive so i only treat myself once in a while......

Over the years I've never eaten inside the restaurant, but the takeout has been decent. It does taste fresher than most Chinese restaurants, but the biggest draw is that their General Tso's chicken among other dishes are gluten-free by using cornstarch instead of wheat flour. I know it's my mom's favorite by far and she almost always requests it when I visit town and we do takeout.

Very good food. Fried rice was perfect and the Liang's BBQ pork was exceptional. Much better that one would assume as it looks like a fast food joint with the drive through. It was on the pricier side though. 2 adults and 2 kids. We had a late lunch, so we split 2 entrees as well as 1 order of fried rice, pot stickers and Lo Mein and had a small dessert. Total was $90 before tip. The food is only marginally better than standard takeout, so although it was good, we probably won't be back.

This is my favorite Chinese Restaurant, and I mean it. The food is always so fresh and tasty and the service has always been great. This is a family style type of restaurant so you can technically order 1 dish and share with others at the table (if you are willing to share). The food is cooked to order and it is not as greasy as what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. I usually order the orange chicken or the pineapple chicken, both which are delicious. They offer a side of white or brown rice and that's your meal. It's so easy. I would also recommend any of the appetizers before you start your meal. The restaurant itself is classy, but you don't have to be dressed up to have a meal here. I have definitely eaten here while wearing a casual outfit. Try this place out for yourself to find out just how good it really is.

This place, the food, the staff, even the ambiance is amazing!! I've always passed this place and never thought of coming in, thinking it was another fast food asian place. My boyfriend and I came last night and were nicely surprised. It's clean, they're courteous and genuinely nice. They have soft lighting, great music that plays low throughout. The portions are huge for the great price and taste authentic and super delicious. I got the general tso chicken for less than $12 and it looked like a family style portion lol. We will be coming back and this is our new date spot for sure.

The good - Great place with a hip, and cool vibe. Food looks and tastes scrumptious! There were 3 of us. BF, neighbor, and me. Plenty of food, plus lots to take home due to large portion sizes. ;-) We had: Buddy's Delight - 4 stars Cantonese Chow Fun - 4 stars Thai basil leaf shrimp - 3 1/2 stars Orange peel chicken - 5 stars I would have rated this establishment higher if it had not been for a couple of ill fated glitches. We were not offered tea nor given fortune cookies. Not sure wether this omission was blatant or an oversight. We do know that other patrons did receive their cookies.

Update: Service was much better last night. Earned themselves an extra star! I'm hesitant to rate Liang's after our first visit. My husband and I went last night, and since it was so beautiful out, we opted to sit on their patio. Bad idea. The service was absolutely terrible. I mean, bordering on the worst service we've gotten. It took about 5 minutes for our waiter to come out just to get our drinks ordered, another 5 to actually get them. Another 10-15 for our appetizer to come out. Luckily it was only another 15 or so after the apps for the food to come out, but by then we were both pissed, my husband especially. Not to mention, his drink went empty for a good 10 minutes- twice! The first time he actually had to go inside and ask for a drink refill. And after all that it still took out waiter 5 more minutes to come out and refill the drink! When he went inside, they should have been apologetic and refilled it immediately, but no. The food was a solid four, service was a one. For now overall, they get a two. Hopefully I'll be able to increase my rating after another visit hopefully without exceptionally bad service.

Outstanding food. The place was very casual nice. Wait staff was excellent. It was a little slow on getting the food but it was worth the wait. I believe they take time to make it right. Ordered the Mongolian Beef, General Tso Chicken ( could be a little more spicy ), Teriyaki Steak. They ask if you want white or dark meat for the chicken dishes and charge and extra $1 for white. It was worth that as well. My friend, her son and I shared these dishes and we were very pleased. Had they opened a bistro up in the Tacoma Washington area, I would surely go back again. The day before I had to leave the area, I had ordered the Special Fried Rice (yummy) and the Sesame Chicken but had I checked, I would have seen General Tso chicken. So I ding them a .5 point for messing up the order but the Tso chicken was fantastic anyway. Price wasn't any different then anywhere else and the lunch special was pretty good. They give a large bowl of soup, choice of Miso, Egg Flower or Sweet n Sour. Parking was easy to get. Not hard to find if coming from Tampa it's on the right hand side if going towards Tampa by the freeway entrance, it's the last light on the left. Lot's of construction going on the road so be careful when driving there. People don't know to stop on a red light. Enjoy!

Great place, great service. Very clean and the food came out super quick. We ordered General Tso's, Chicken Pad Thai, Honey Chicken (kids) and Sweet and sour chicken (kids). I thought the General Chicken was great, they flatten out the chicken and do a very light breading so its not chucks of chicken with lots of breading. My wife wasn't a huge fan of the Pad Thai, didn't think the Peanut sauce flavor was right. I tried it and while I still think it is really good, I agree with here. Kids honey chicken was good, kinds like a sweet generals chicken. Sweet and spicy chicken well, its kinda hard to mess that one up. Ordered the banana cheesecake roll up for desert. It was really good too. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars it because its kinda pricey for a Chinese food only place. bill was $55 for 2 adults and 3 kids.

Great Americanized Chinese food. Nice staff, the food is always tasty, great appetizers too. My favorites are; shrimp with lobster sauce, pineapple fried rice, pineapple prawns, etc. Large portions are great for sharing. Prices are very reasonable. Never had a bad meal there.

Service is almost unreal it's so good. Don't let the drive-thru scare you, this is a great place to dine. This is some of the tastiest Asian food I have ever had, and you get lots of it for your $. I've eaten here several times and they are consistent, and it's always delicious!

Come here often with friends. They seem to be very clean. Pretty busy during lunch. Came at 2pm and it we'd much better. Service is good. Salad is delicious we even order a container of dressing to go for$3. General Tsos chicken is very good and plentiful ! lettuce wraps are also good. Prices are decent for the amount of food you get.

Food came out fast, it was pretty good. A little bland for me though. There is one staff member, little old man, who ran after us when we left and he was complaining about the tip! We left a very generous tip too!

Very good, American friendly Chines food. I recommend anything on the seafood menu. Service is good, Kitchen is fast. If I had a criticism it's that the tables are copper topped and it smells a bit like old pennies when you first sit down. I wish they would reseal the table tops.

It had been years (8 to be exact!!) since I had been to Liang's but yesterday after a long bike-ride at Flatwoods, we were hungry and decided to take our trio out for a special lunch. It was FANTASTIC!! My kids are used to Chinese take-out, so sitting in a "real" restaurant was a special treat for them. The 3 kids split a full-size dinner portion (lunch specials aren't available on the weekend...bummer!!) of Moo-Goo-Gai-Pan with brown rice and they LOVED it and there was even enough to take home. I had Buddha's Delight with steamed tofu (didn't eat the rice, but we took it home) and my husband had extra spicy chicken with vegetable (and brown rice too.) Everything was so tasty!! Service was a tad slow for a Sunday afternoon, but they had coloring sheets and crayons so it kept the kids occupied, otherwise the wait could have been a disaster!! We all really enjoyed it! We don't live too close by, so who knows if/when we'll return, but I'm glad we went :)

They have the best orange chicken I've ever had. It's phenomenal. I love their chicken in black bean sauce as well. In fact, I've never tried anything that I didn't like here. When you walk into Liang's Bistro you can see all of the awards they've won hanging on the wall. I can see why with food like this. The restaurant has more of an upscale feel to it. The wait staff is wearing ties and will come and light a little flame for your table. I don't feel uncomfortable wearing casual clothes here though. The menu has a wide variety of different genres to choose from (Chinese, Thai, etc). I absolutely love the fact that they give you the option to get brown rice with your meal. That's something you don't see often and from a health perspective it is much appreciated. The quality of the food is always consistent at Liang's Bistro. I've never once had a visit here where I wasn't satisfied with the food. There's no way to sugar coat the pricing. It's expensive to eat here. However, unlike a trip to PF Chang's I think the price is definitely justified. The food is delicious and the entree sizes are enormous. Two people can split an entree and have a little bit left over. There's even a drive through window where you can quickly pick up a to-go order. I always look forward to eating here.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
