I used Lenny's for a business luncheon. The food was fresh, well prepared and the right price. We got several sandwich trays and they were gone quicklly. They delivered, which made feeding a large group effortless.

Delicious bread - flown in fresh from Philly ! Great service and very friendly ! Try the Philly it won't disappoint!

Lenny's is another chain restaurant that I fell in love with while living in Jackson, Mississippi. There were a number of things that set this sub shop apart from the rest: the meat and cheese are on display as you enter, and all selections are freshly cut while you watch. The bread is extremely delicious. I talked my husband into driving 45 minutes away the second I discovered this Lenny's in Tampa. Sadly, I've since regretted my actions. This Lenny's is poorly staffed, and the employees were horrible. Two of the gentlemen decided it was more important to talk to each other about their respective dates that evening, and the likelihood that they would "get some" rather than taking our orders, even after we had politely said "excuse me" a couple of times. My husband ordered a hot sandwich, which was another mistake. While they were exceptionally slow in preparing my sandwich (bread, meat, cheese, mayo, nothing extremely difficult there), they were so much worse in delivering his. The kids and I had finished our meals and he still hadn't received his. He asked about it a few times, and the third time asked for a manager. After thirty minutes had past without a sandwich, we finally got fed up enough to ask for a refund. The manager swore that the sandwich would "be right out!" and would not grant a refund. Ten minutes after the manager said that, his hot sandwich was finally brought out. Cold. To make up for their mistake, the manager graciously gave us a coupon for half off of our next purchase. We have not redeemed them, and see no reason to give them our business again. The food and service we received was pathetic, and a dishonor to the Lenny's brand.

Never been to a Lenny's before. I honestly had no idea how big the subs were!! The large sub is literally a foot long (not like Subway's where it's not filled with much and just a skinny skimpy sub). Lenny's packs on the meat and whatever you want on it. I had the roast beef sub.... I've had better roast beef. meh. Service was good- the guy who took my order was nice and so was the girl at the register. Leave your stuff at the table when you're done- they clean it up for you! (that's what the sign on our table said!)

As a frequent visitor to this Lenny's for the better part of eight years, I have never been disappointed by anything related to their service, product or pricing. Sometimes, I think I seek out new places for great sandwiches and take how consistenly good and convenient this Lenny's is for me. While I used to enjoy their Philly Cheesesteak salads as my favorite item, I now usually order various wraps because the salads shrunk a bit and the wraps are a tremendous value at just $4.95. Their Philly Cheesesteak, chicken salad and turkey, roast beef and bacon are all really good, but I honestly cannot tell you anything I've ever had here that lacked flavor or freshness. Lots of free ingredients to customize any sandwich, wrap or salad and employees go out of their way to make sure they get everything right before making it for you. The only reasons for the lack of a fifth star above is because the salads diminished in size from what they used to be, they stopped offering great deals on the back of every receipt for your next visit and they do not offer any sliced bread as an option for sandwiches...only rolls. Still, I cannot go wrong here and doubt anyone else will either.

Having delivered my precious baby 6 weeks ago, I've been craving subs. Not eating them for over 9 months, I've been binging on them for the past few days. First Jersey Mike's, now Lenny's. Lenny's was far superior and a better value. I ordered the 5" club and at under $5, it was a great deal. They slice the meat and cheese as you're ordering and the freshness showed. The bread was Nice and soft and the bacon was sooo crispy!!! It's still not a publix sub, but a great option when on the go.

Lenny's is my got-to place when I'm in the mood for a delicious sub sandwich but don't have a lot of time. Lenny's is a small chain that first opened in Memphis, TN in the late 90's, and has expanded to about 150 locations around the southern US. They have the standard cold subs, hot subs, salads, and Kaiser roll sandwiches on their menu. You order by the size of the roll, and then select your sandwich by number. A regular sized Lenny's sub is 7 inches long and contains approximately a half pound of meat and cheese. The large version is 15" long and contains about a pound of meat and cheese. When I'm in a hurry, I like the #2 Italian which comes with Provolone cheese, Ham, Proscuitto, Capicola, and Genoa Salami. From there you select the vegetables and toppings. If I'm in the mood for a hot sub I never go wrong with the #11 Famous Philly Cheesesteak which is a Philly Cheesesteak with grilled onions and raw onions. Add to that their special hot pepper relish, lettuce and tomato. Toss in a bag of chips and a drink and you've got a very filling and inexpensive meal. This particular Lenny's is located in a little strip mall along W. Kennedy Boulevard, just a few blocks east of Dale Mabry. Lunchtime parking is tight in that strip mall, but you can circle the block and park on the side streets. You'll generally see the reporters and camera crews from Fox 13 News, as well as plenty of detectives from Tampa PD clustered around the tables. Lenny's fills up quickly for lunch, and it's easy to see why this place is such a locals' favorite.

Martin and his sister Molly have greatly increased the level of service and the quality of the food since they took over this sub shop in April of this year. I like to have a Philly cheesesteak about once a month and this is my one stop shop I absolutely think it's the best sandwich in town. Join the rewards program it's the bomb they always give you coupons in your email and free sandwiches it's the best value for lunch or a quick snack. I'm definitely going to refer them to my business owner friends to use for catering - they do a great job with that as well...

This Lenny's is located on Kennedy in a plaza. There is also a nail salon and a metroPCS in that plaza. Like most places that have Philly Cheese Steaks on their menus, Lenny's also claims to serve "World Class" Philly Cheese Steaks. Unfortunately I did not find my sandwich to be so amazing. The meat was tasty but there weren't enough onions in it, there weren't any peppers in there and they could've throw a bit more meat in there. I also didn't enjoy the bread. It was really tasteless and flat. It was not what I expected at all. The inside of the restaurant was very clean. There was plenty of seating (indoor only) if you decide to eat in. Also the service was great.

There is nothing exceptional about Lenny's. If you are in the area, and you need a sandwich, you could go here, but honestly, you could just go up Kennedy a bit and get a better sub at Larry's (although Larry's is not stellar either). Really, there are so many good sub shops in Tampa Bay, there is no reason to come here.

Why 4 stars? Because it's one of the best sandwich shops in Tampa! --- --- --- Outside of Pat's in the homeland, Lenny's has the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. It's nothing like Pat's or Geno's up in Philly, but it's still a tasty treat. I've also enjoyed an Italian sub that seemed to have some of the freshest meat you'll come across on a sub. Sadly I don't hang out in the Westshore area very often, so I have only been to Lenny's three times. I usually just head to Publix for all of my sub-sandwich needs, but I will definitely go back to Lenny's when I am anywhere near West Kennedy.

I used a "welcome to the neighborhood" coupon to get a free regular sandwich. Bought a philly cheesesteak at the recommendation of an employee. Glad I did. Very cheesy and hit the spot just right! Their service is quick, even though they had to griddle the ingredients. I'll probably be back.

HUGE and tasty sandwiches! Nothing fancy, just delicious sandwiches with huge portions of meat and cheese. I cannot stand when I order a sandwich from other sub shops and receive stale bread with a pile of shredded lettuce... this is NEVER the case at Lenny's Sub Shop. All of the sandwiches are tasty, but the Italian is my personal favorite. Save room for one of their HUGE chocolate chip cookies!

I really like the subs here. The hot mustard sauce sets them apart from most other sub joints. The reason that I only rated them A-OK is because I have had a couple bad experiences (ridiculously long lines, running out of turkey during lunch rush). If you go during the week, be prepared to wait but for a quality sub.

Wow amazed by the subs! My friend took me to Lenny and I wasn't disappointed, friendly staff, great food and clean. A must have if you are in the area.

Super clean place to eat, decent staff that brings you your sandwich. FANTASTIC subs. my favorite is the philly cheese steak, I drive there from Clearwater to get it, so good.

Great place in the Westshore district. Sandwiches are nice and filling. I really like the Italian sub with hot pepper relish. Try to get there before 12 or after 1 as lines can get long. Staff is great and once you order you get your food pretty quickly.

Always dirty seating area. What gets me is always a minimum of six people behind the counter, but the tables never get cleaned. It just seems they should focus on making sure the seating area is cleaner if they have the staff. Food is ok but always too salty. But it's good, better than subway.

Lenny's is on of the better sub shops around. The meatball and philly are delicious!

Average at best. I liked that they offered a cheaper/smaller option (kaiser roll, $4.95) but the large turkey sub was expensive at $10.85. The meat wasn't great quality, and the fixings were very limited. Probably won't go back.

This is my favorite sub place around. I'll admit, it's nothing fancy--definitely not a snooty deli with exotic meats/cheeses--but the subs are HUGE, well priced, and absolutely delicious. The staff is unbelievably friendly and remember me every time I walk in, no small feat since they are always packed. It's near the Westshore business district...I absolutely do not recommend going during "normal" lunch hours as you possibly won't get a seat. My only complaint is that they don't have one closer to where I live!

Simple place with some good subs. The only reason I'm writing a review is for their Philly cheese steak. Very good and the hoagies they use are excellent. I like their homemade hot pepper relish... goes great on a sub for an extra kick. Worth a try if you're cruising by on Dale Mabry or one of the other locations they have.
