Worst experience ever!! It started off with a rude waitress. There were ants crawling on the table. I asked to be moved so they moved us to a table with a broken booth. The manager was a fat lazy slob that didn't give a crap about the guests. The service was terrible. The food was awful. After we paid and we were walking out a homeless man asked me for something to eat. I brought him in to order because it was freezing outside and the waitress was incredibly disrespectful. She tried refusing service and the manager was "too busy" sitting down in the corner to help - after standing my ground she eventually took his order. I left in tears because of this awful situation. Denny's was one of my favorite restaurants but after this experience I will NEVER step foot in another Denny's restaurant again. Shame on you Denny's for allowing this type of ignorance in your restaurant.

We have been to this place numerous times, and have seen the best and worst of here. The morning shift is chaos and everyone involved seems to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The servers (Sherrie might be the older lady's name) seem to be fighting with each other every time we are there. ONE star for them!!! The MIDNIGHT shift are rock stars on the other hand!!! The cooks on this shift are Top Notch!! Aron and David are super fast and seem to know exactly what we want.. how we want it!! We will continue to come back!! Four Stars for the late shifts!! It would be five stars if the 9am shift could pull it together.

The food was bland. Ridiculously bland. Almost to the point of nasty. Sitted quickly. As far as service goes I'm torn. My waitress was wonderful. Checked on us numerous times, gave us free refills, and made suggestions. Very friendly and smiley. How a waitress should be. The manager on the other hand walked around several times and not once acknowledged my table but of course said hello to the other tables and asked how they were doing. That was kind of fishy. Whatever though. Definitely have experienced better. Don't waste your time coming to this place.

I will make this very short and to the point...... I feel it is very sad as well as pathetic when you have a restaurant that deals "primarily" in breakfasts and yet you don't have a cook that knows how to properly serve over medium eggs. I told my waitress that I am very fussy about my eggs. Whites cooked and the yolk runny. I also do not want them brown! Brown means over cooked and or cooked on too high of heat. I told her that if her cook did not know how to cook them properly, give me scrambled. After about 10 minutes, I heard her talking to the cook telling him to make me scrambled eggs. When she served them too me, she said that the cook gave her over medium but they were brown. I gave this one star only because I could not give it NO STARS. I will take my business to IHop or Bob Evans. They know how to cook eggs!

Nothing I can say about this place that hasn't already been said. Slow service with mediocre tasting food. On an early Sunday morning I visited this Denny's and within two seconds you could feel the tension of overworked waitresses with a Manager that just did not wanna be there. The sad part, it wasn't busy, Maybe 10-12 people there before me.

We were seated immediately, but without silverware or menus. Very sweet server took our drink order but it took a long time to get. There were 3 servers I could see and it was not busy at 10pm by any means. Service was slower than molasses in Alaska in January. Everything took forever. Even getting our ticket after we were well finished took forever. Salt seemed wet in the shaker, grabbed a different one from another table. Other tables were not bussed. Food was barely warm. Burger was ok, fries not hot but not cardboard either. Had just left Busch Gardens, I felt like we would be there all night. Ok to visit if you have all night.

I've been going to this Denny's on and off since I started at USF in 2010, but the last couple of times I've been there it was empty and the service has been mediocre at best. I went there tonight, I walked in and the place was literally empty. The manager was staring awkwardly (not to mention he came up to the table an unnecessary amount of times). The waitress was okay at first. I told them we were waiting for someone and we would order once he arrived, but we were approached again. I finally ordered the build your own pancakes with wheat pancakes, chocolate chips, bananas, and peanut butter topping... She came out and told me in passing that they didn't have the wheat so they just made the regular... Wasn't asked or informed properly, but I was willing to let it go as i'm not the kind of person who likes confrontation. When my pancakes came out I noticed there was strawberries on the top and not bananas. I mentioned to her that I didn't order strawberries and she replied with "Oh, yea, we were out of bananas, too, so I gave you strawberries". I was thoroughly annoyed at this point, I wasn't asked, and I didn't find peanut butter and strawberries to be a good combo. I wasn't asked if I wanted something different, the staff just took it upon themselves to change my order for me without asking me. Begrudgingly, I accepted the next mix up as well. I had my eggs, bacon, and hash browns and picked at the pancakes, but took them to go. I realized when I got home there were blueberries in my pancakes instead of the chocolate chips I wanted. So, it wasn't me building my own pancakes, it was the staff. As if that wasn't annoying enough, about an hour after I got home, I started getting stomach pains and felt sick. I just spent an hour of my night in terrible stomach pain, and throwing up. I am certain it was the food. If you value your money, time, and health, don't go there. It just needs to close.

I have been here a few times with college crowds and I have to say that of all the breakfast dining options next to the University of South Florida, Denny's has the crappiest service ever. Perkins and IHOP are generally understanding that their main clientele is college students and are very friendly to the business that they are receiving, but every single time I have visited this restaurant I have encountered waiters high on themselves who think they can treat customers however they want. The worst experience was my most recent visit on Friday night. I frequently hang out with college students, and trust me I know what loud is, but we were barely being above inside voices when the waiter actually asked us to "BE QUIET" and I think I might have even heard "Shut Up". I have never EVER EVER been asked to do this in a restaurant and no waiter in his right mind should ever ask this. I didn't grab the waiters name because I was too tired, but if we meet again you will be sure I will recommend he be replaced. Not only did that occur but they failed to give us utensils even after we waited over an hour (the usual) for our food. We kindly asked for some and after waiting forever, my friend finally just got up and snatched some from another empty table nearby that had utensils. The waiter threw a fit about how now he was going to have to roll up more utensils and blah blah blah. REALLY. At four in the morning, does it really matter? At some point in the meal he even talked about canceling our orders..seriously when there is over 15 people, you would be costing your establishment lots of money to cancel our orders. By the middle to end of our meal he just became obnoxious and started interjecting into our conversation just to annoy us. I felt bad for the other waitress at the table because there was just no way I was going to give this a cut on a tip. I'd rather eat anywhere else but here, both Perkins and IHOP on Fowler by USF provide much better service, competitive prices, and good food, so this place needs to seriously clean up their act.

This Dennys isn't the best Dennys I've been too, but it's not the worst either. The staff has always been kind even when the questions were a little out of the ordinary, The food is diner food, but you should already know that. It's got a great location a little away from USF, so it's never too crowded, and you can always pop in there for a calming meal with friends. There are times you need a place like Dennys, and this one will suit your need.

You would think that the service would be good just because there weren't many people there, well the service wasn't good. My food, which was just fries with cheese and bacon on top, took FOREVER to come out and when it did come out I had a total of like 10 fries in the bowl. After this experience I really don't recommend this Denny's at all.
