I just tried this place for the first time on Saturday. It is very close to my house and apparently they've been open for business for a couple of months. Who knew?! Anyway, this is just another fast food burger joint... nothing special. I had their basic cheeseburger. It was good, not great. Their onion rings were good, but again, nothing to rave about. The one standout at this place is the ice cream. I had a vanilla shake and it was very good. So thick, I had to eat with a spoon. Try it if you must. It is a quick fix for a burger craving, but don't expect much.

I went to Culver's tonight via the drive through. Their entrance to turn into the establishment is quite dark & I missed it on my fisrt pass. I am not a fast food snob, but I seldom eat it for a variety of reasons. Culver's is new, offered dinners & diversity, so I gave it a try. I got 2 roast beef dinners, 1 with gravey & 1 withoit. The sides were mashed potatoes, cheese curds, green beans & a chocolate shake. At the drive through some items have a calorie amount listed, like milkshake, short, 580. I inquired about a strawberry smoothie & it was almost 800 calories, there wasn't much to think about, I passed on the smoothie. The roast beef dinners came with 4-5 ounces of good, tender pot roast on a piece of bread. It was quite tasty for fast food or a diner atmosphere. The mashed potatoes are bland & add nothing to the meal, but if mixed with the smooth gravey, makes a fair accompaniment. The chest curds had too much dough for my tastes, so I removed it. Now for the shocker the green beans had chopped onion & if they weren't fresh, they certainally tasted fresh, very good. They also had a white run of the mill dinner roll on the plate. The milkshake is better than most fast food joints. After you order and pay, they give you a display number and you pull around front. They were quite slow tonight. I would time from the time I placed my order, till it was delivered to my car at about 6 minutes. That is not a bad time to have a custom dinner plate made up to go. Total for 2 meals, with 2 sides & a milkshake $20.30, not bad, again comparing the price to a diner. What's a girl to do? Just needed a quick MEAL fix & it did the trick.

Health-conscious people beware! This place is not for you due to the fact that their buns are covered in butter and their oh-so delicious fries are smothered with butter as well! Let me start off with their burgers: they will melt in your mouth! These burgers are seriously delicious and one of the best I have ever had in a long while (comparable to the west coast In-and-out burger joint). These burgers will satisfy your hunger and within comparable meal price as other competitors. Their "concrete mixers" are just as delicious and comparable to a "blizzard" from DQ. I will recommend this place to anyone who loves burger joints and not so much a calorie-counter.

I had been looking forward to trying Culver's for a few months but there aren't any too close to me. I finally got around to trying it and I just got a basic bacon deluxe cheeseburger. First off there was no bacon secondly the burger tasted burnt I took 2 bites and threw it away. I am a big fast food eater and I would prefer Steak n Shake any day.

Was in the mood for a hot fudge sundae, ordered a 2 scoop sundae at the drive thru. I paid for the order and waited for nearly 6.5 minutes. It wasn't even busy, it was like 2:30, not the lunch rush. When I got it, I questioned whether it was two "scoops" as advertised, since it was soft serve, I was assured that was two scoops. The hot fudge was a single strip run around the top edge of the cup, I asked if they could actually put some hot fudge on it and they said they would have to charge me. Seriously! Major disappointment. I will probably not go back, a Mcdonalds dollar menu sundae is a much better deal, and they even give you nuts. Oh, and no whipped cream or cherry - Not a sundae Culvers!

I've been wanting to stop by since the opening. But I am not big on fast food so I was a bit skeptical. After leaving the gym today (yes the gym, don't judge). Culvers appeared on the drive home. What better day to stop and grab a bite to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome and extremely clean interior. The staff all greeted us separately, each seeming quite genuine. We took a few moments to view the menu. I settled on the mushroom melt (I can't remember it's exact name). I grabbed a seat outside and waited for the food to be delivered. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised by it's delicious presentation. I truly wanted to dive right in. The burger was sooo juicy and fresh. Every part was cooked to perfection. The burger tasted like a Swiss I would make at home. The fries were extra crispy and they gave me a variety of dipping sauces. Now I am a girl who loves to cook at home but the next time I'm feeling fast food I won't go straight for my go to PDQ. I'll have to flip on it and decide between there and Culvers!!! Thank you for a great first experience!!!

I was totally excited for the opening for this place as Culver chains I starting to pop up around the bay area but had no idea of what it was. At Culver's, every order is made fresh and I always see the different milkshake options which caught my eye so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered their best seller burger with two patties which reminded me of a steak & shake burger but just slightly larger. The bun had a nice crisp to it which I enjoyed and made the burger totally awesome! When the cashier asked what side I wanted, the cheese curds DEF stuck out as I had no idea what they were and me being a big cheese fan I wanted to try. Lets just say I made the right choice as im still craving the cheese curds as I type! Since Culver's is a chain based from Wisconsin, you know that they must produce a good cheese curd product or else their fellow cheese heads would run them to the ground! Not getting CHEESE CURDS with every order should be considered a SIN! I liked the milkshake options so I was totally happy when I was able to order my favorite combo in the world, chocolate oreo. The shake was totally thick and tasted real good with quality ingredients. I will def be back and you've totally won me as a new customer!

Food is good but they take forever to get it out to you. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you are ready to sit down and eat. I've been sitting in the drive through now for 20 minutes and my food still hasn't come out to me yet.. Honestly what's he point of a drive through?

Fried cheese curds.....OMG.....best thing ever. I never liked mozzarella sticks but these soar above the tradition fried sticks. The breading is flavorful and salted perfectly. Yummy warm cheese goodness. I have also had the grilled chicken sandwich which was a nice sized piece of real chicken. Hamburgers were large and flavorful. Have the cheese curds you will not regret it.

Ok, I will start by saying this place is the Rolls Royce of Fast Food. SO...if you are a stuck-up yuppie who calls people "obese mouth-breathers" like the nonsensical wannabe intellectual who wrote the initial 1-Star review here, I would recommend you stop reading now. The food here by Fast Food standards is superb. The Fried Chicken is superior to KFC and at least on par with Popeye's. The Hamburgers are vastly superior to McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's or anyone else. The french fries where McDonalds usually dominates? Even that is a slight edge to Culver's where the french fries are superb. And the Ice Cream? Absolutely outstanding by Fast Food standards. Relative to other Fast Food places, Culver's wins on every front. Are there negatives? Well, at this particular store the people working the front counter are still learning and have a LONG way to go. Making up for the fact is one of the most attentive store managers I have ever seen. The guy never sat still the whole time we were there. He was either talking to customers or riding herd over his employees in a positive but firm fashion. So unless you are one of these New Age, 21st Century type who gains his self-validation by being a "foodie snob" it's a good bet that you will love Culver's as a quick, cheap option that is light years ahead of the other traditional Fast Food options.

Let me start by saying that me and the wife always drive on Hillsborough all the time. So when we saw that this place was being built in Dec and read their reviews we had to go. Today we decided to pull the trigger and try it out. We decided to order to go my wife ordered the chicken dinner meal with Cole slaw and cheese balls and a custurd ice cream Sunday lol. I ordered the butter bacon double burger deluxe with fries. Oh and by the way they make the food fresh as soon as you place your order and they give you a number card to place on your dashboard so once the food is ready one of the employees comes to your car to hand you your food very nice. So when we got home to open our food one of the drive though employees forgot to two side items we ordered the coleslaw and the fries. My wife called the resturant spoke with the manager. The manager kinda said that is not a problem bring back the reciept and we will give you the missing sides. So I drive back to the resturant witch is 10 mins from my house. The manager noticed me right away and was super friendly and nice and apologized for the order. So for the mistake beside giving me the missing sides he gave me a complimentary free butter buger card that I can use on my next order now I'm happy. OK so on to the food the chicken was juicy flavorful, had a nice crunch to it and the pieces were huge no small chicken here it's there own recipe never had their chicken before. It was really good the wife loved it. As for My burger think of Steak and Shake on steroid but bigger like the size of a whopper but way better and the butter bun really complemented the buger. It was juicy, flavorful one the best burgers I had in awhile and we all know Tampa is not known for making great burgers you have travel and find a good place that makes them like 5 guys or Johnny Rockets. All the sides were great and the custurd was amazing. I highly recommend to try this place out I can see why it's always packed. And even though they messed up my order the customer service the manager provided me and the food alone it's worth a 5 star rating. I will be coming back

I never write these reviews, but in this case I will make a well deserved exception. After stopping to try this newly opened place, I was amused to read this first review because it so flawlessly captures what Culver's is all about, written by an obviously obese mouth-breather with a 6th grade education. I would, however, have to agree with his spelling of custurd. I waited fifteen minutes for my little cup of frozen custard, but it was devoid of any flavor at all, not even some hint of the previous writer's colorful allusion. Perhaps they could put that on their menu to give it some actual taste. The place was mobbed with morbidly obese people of all ages gorging themselves on disgusting, over-priced cheese balls, butter burgers, fries and patty melts. Meanwhile, more obese, even lazier people were sitting in their cars in a long queue, idling their way to the drive-up window, too lethargic to even get out of their cars. Still, read that first review again and you will see why this place is guaranteed to be a resounding success here. It made me sick. I will never go back. Oh, sorry, nice looking building.

Culver's is a new restaurant to the Tampa Bay area that has a lot of kinks to work out. First, regarding their food. It is of the same quality that you could expect to receive at any other fast food restaurant the only thing that makes them different is their "supposed" excellent customer service. This is the tactic that the owner uses to convince you to pay those EXTREMELY elevated prices for plain standard fast food that you can get anywhere for a WAY CHEAPER PRICE. I had a recent negative experience with the W HILLSBORUGH location where the employee made an honest mistake with how they prepared my order. But my issue was not with the employee, it was with the actual OWNER, who after answering the phone when I called the next day to request a refund for the meager $5.00 mistake, was not only dismissive but accused me of begging for a hand out for requesting a refund for a mistake HIS employee made, and stated that they don't do refunds. Be cautious in patronizing this restaurant especially when the actual OWNER is clueless about GOOD customer service and INSULTING when asked to give a simple $5.00 refund for a mistake HIS employee made. I recommend that you choose another fast food restaurant, with customer service that is just as good if not better, pay WAY LESS for PLAIN FAST FOOD, and not have to deal with an OWNER who will INSULT you for requesting a $5.00 refund for sub-par service
