Delicious food, fabulous service, and great prices! We love this place and frequent it often. We usually meet friends here to eat dinner and have a few drinks prior to going bar hopping in Ybor. Don't eat too much so that you can enjoy their homemade gelato!

I've been to Cristino's maybe 4-5 times and I'm always left underwhelmed; however, I've never tried the pizza (they don't sell by the slice). But I've had the meatball sub and a couple pasta dishes. They've all been just average. My biggest gripe is the service. There always seem to be some kind of glitch when it comes to my order. The staff is always welcoming and friendly but once they gave my order to someone else and they had to remake it, waste of another 15 minutes. Last time I went, I was in a bit of a rush and the lady taking my order said my meatball sandwich would take 5-6 minutes. Wrong! How about 25 minutes? 25 minutes!...to make a meatball sandwich! And they weren't even busy. I really don't understand that. Again, like other experiences I've had lately at other restaurants, no apologies or explanation, especially after saying it would take only 5-6 minutes. I just don't see myself going back when there are other options in Ybor. I've given them plenty of opportunities. On the bright side, the restaurant and outdoor patio is very attractive. They did a nice job renovating the space. And they make decent gelato; not the best around but good enough if you want some in Ybor.

Ugh... I went in with such high hopes since I love the Cristino's in Clearwater, and I left SO disappointed. The restaurant is nice - has a great outdoor patio, and plenty of tables indoors. One family had spread out over the entire front half of the dining room, so we maneuvered to the quiet back half of the room. Our server was nice and friendly, and our order was placed in no time. Pizza came out quickly, and that's where the good times ended. I almost couldn't believe how bad it was. It tasted like freezer, or refrigerator, and we even asked the nearby manager if they freeze their dough. He said 'no, it's made fresh every day' so it must have been the sauce. Plus - the pizza wasn't cooked correctly - I would have a warm bite, and then my next bite would be into cold sauce. Bizarre! I actually didn't finish one of my pieces, which is unheard of for me. So sad because there is so much potential, but all in all, it was just a fail.

Pizza is my comfort food. It's my go to and I love finding new pizza joints. Soon I will have a favorite place in all corners of Tampa Bay! I took a chance on Cristino's based on the highly recommended Yelp reviews and it was just as great as everyone promised. Funny enough, I also learned by the proudly framed review clippings on the walls that this place made the Top 50 restaurants by the Times and CL, which makes it a cut above the other pizza joints in Ybor. My family and I stopped by on an early Saturday evening around 5:30 before the Ybor crowd. It also happened to be happy hour and I enjoyed a house wine for $2.75, a great glass of wine at a fantastic price! We ordered a Margherita pizza and a Bianca and both did not disappoint. The crust one both pies was perfect, not overly burned with a lovely, light crispness. I really enjoyed the bright tomato flavor of the sauce on the Margherita. The atmosphere is very casual and kid-friendly. Our server even offered our kids samples of gelato. Slice it any way you want, this was a winner with us.

Came here before a comedy show at the improv. It was around 630 wasn't very busy and we were seated right away. Very attentive wait staff. I ordered a calamari appetizer and we got a large Quattro pizza with added pepperoni. The food came out really fast which was good because we really hungry lol we can eat a lot but we work for it ;-) the large was surprisingly bigger than I expected it to be. I thought it was good it could have had more basil on it though. My boyfriend was rushing me because he wanted to order so I didn't get a chance to see all of the menu. But they have a pretty nice selection. I have to come back with a more patient person next time. The waiter also let us sample their gelato. It tasted good I would have liked to try other flavors. I did not order gelato this time but I come to ybor a lot for dinner so I will make this one of my stops. I love brick oven pizza. I saw this place received many awards for its food and I can see why.

Our waitress Frankie was great. I grabbed a white pizza with meatballs to go and it was delicious.

Pretty solid pizza, friendly yet sometimes inattentive staff and fashionably quaint décor. There are different types of pizza in the world, and I tend to fancy the NY sort. My second favorite is the fire/coal oven sort, and that's what they serve up here at Cristino's. Once you make it past the smelly garbage cans leaking dumpster juice into the alley, you're immediately welcomed by a large patio area with a bar and plenty of outside seating. I imagine that during any other time of the year, it looks great out there. However, it's fall and the patio was littered with leaves from the looming oak trees. I saw a few employees doing a whole lotta nothing, and I think they should have been sweeping. Inside, La Chica and I walked past the hostess, who appeared to be taking an order over the phone. She looked like she wanted to help, but couldn't, so we went straight for the bar. We were greeted by a kid who said, "If you're ordering drinks, I'll have to get you a real bartender. I'm just making a drink for the owner." During my visit here, I saw and made eye contact with the owner 4 or 5 times. Not once did he acknowledge me, ask how I was doing or inquire about my perception of the staff or service. Just a side note. While waiting for a "real" bartender, it was hard not to notice the pizza cook standing by the ovens eating. It was just gelato, but I don't think employees should be eating in the area where pizzas are slapped out, topped and baked. Go grab a seat dude! A "real" bartender came over, greeted us, took our food and drink orders. The kid was friendly and very sociable. Problem is, once he dropped off our food, he disappeared. My drink sat empty, and was never refilled, despite two separate employees stopping by the bar area to make drinks for other tables. As for the food, we ordered a 12" pizza margherita with sausage. The pizza came quick. Those coal ovens must burn at 600 degrees or something like that because the pie seriously came out in 6-7 minutes. It was hot, fresh and delicious. There's nothing like coal oven pizza crust. My only suggestion would be just a tad bit more cheese. I realize that with a margherita, the pizza doesn't get complete cheese coverage, but I found the cheese serving on mine to be sparse at best. Would I go back? Probably not. The pizza around the corner at Bellini is cooked in a similar over, and the service is a bit more attentive. Plus, the manager there almost always talks to the guests.

Delicious pizza with great atmosphere. The waiter was always on top of things and brought samples of Gelato to our table after our pizza was finished. The blackberry Gelato is especially delicious. I bought some to go. Definitely will be coming back.

In my humble opinión. the 12 Inch pizza pie I shared with the wife beats Grimaldi's. This place took me back to Mary's pizzeria on 2nd ave in East Harlem. This has To be the best pie I've eaten South of East Harlem. The thickness, the sauce, the mozzarella all blended perfectly into this wonderful pie. Let me not forgot our waitress. She was great. Highly recommend the pizza pie. PS not greasy like most places.

Each time I go to Cristinos, the experience feels better. That's not because there are problems there. On the contrary, the food, service, and atmosphere feels right and much on point. It's just I get the sense owners/managers/servers/chefs/etc. keep working to make the place stronger for customers. Love that. Service was friendly, consistent, and very helpful. Easy to get seating on this night, which was appreciated. Same in every other time. Yet the restaurant wasn't "dead" either. Food was tasty, quick and served at perfect temperature. Delicious cheese tortellini. Cocktails were nicely poured--nice amount of liquor, but not weirdly (too) strong. Pricing was moderate or maybe a but higher than moderate, which was just fine. Atmosphere was great--members of my party and I were actually able to hear ourselves. Overall, terrific experience. I'll/we'll be back.

Stopped in for the $10.99 lunch buffet. Absolutely worth the money, and then some. Grandmas meatballs, bow tie pasta, pizza, chicken, ravioli, and salad. Washed it down with true southern sweet tea (no fountain ish) and they brought sample of gelato post meal, fiyah as well. Will definitely be back.

Awesome experience! Ordered the thin crust pizza with fresh mozzarella, ricotta, basil and red sauce...tasted like it was Straight outa Sicily!!! Served alongside a crisp Caesars Salad with shaved Parmesan and homemade garlic croutons w a generous amount of razor thin Smoked Salmon... frikken Awesome!!!

This is great pizza with bit of additional value. They offer drink specials, and a gelato bar that really ties it all together. The bartender was far from ugly, and the facilities were okay. With a large handful of lounging staff, we could have had five star service, but there just wasn't any give a damn with the exception of the single host, bartender, server, who helped us unfortunately.

Came to Ybor for lunch and was taken here as it had just opened! The name sounded familiar then I found the original is in Clearwater. Breanna, our server, greeted us and gave us the best attention. As this was our first visit and as is my custom, I asked what she liked. I went with her choices. We split a Quattro Formaggi & an Eggplant Parmigiana Panini! The 'za was coal fired and hit the mark! The panini was yummo with the eggplant free from the sogginess you frequently get at hohum Italian joints! Sooo good but still brought some home for another tasty meal! Had their house Montepuliciano and it went nicely with lunch! This first visit was enought to have me going to their Clearwater location in the future.

This is by far the best pizza I've ever had in Tampa (and I've had a lot of pizza in Tampa...). I also absolutely love their other dishes, such as, chicken piccata and caprese salad. This is authentic Italian cuisine and it doesn't do a lot of damage on your wallet! I love their happy hour too! It's such an amazing cute place, with great gelato and SUPERB service! Seriously, I've never had anything close to a negative experience there. I can't wait to go back!

Totally lived up to the high standards set by the Clearwater location. Great food, even better service. Easy call, go here if you're hungry for great Italian.

Why 4 stars? Because it's a great alternative to greasy, drunk Ybor pizza. --- --- --- Not that there's anything wrong with the grease pies, and not that I haven't consumed many-a-slice in my younger days... but Cristino's steers you toward the light. Ybor seems to be known for pizza joints even more than cigars these days, but I think Cristino's tops the long list in terms of quality of the food, as well as the venue itself. It's borderline fancy, but in the world known as Florida, flip flops and tank tops are still very acceptable. The pizza is the opposite of grease. It's more like authentic Italian... not that I have ever been to Italy. But I've seen pictures, damnit.

Saw the sign advertising Easter Brunch...the food at the Buffy was varied and pretty tasty. My husband and I were both disappointed when we ordered orange juice and got a bottle of Tropicana (no fresh squeezed for Sunday Brunch?). The Nutella crepe was good, but the Nutella to crepe ratio was not .. WAY too much Nutella Overall...the buffet lacked cohesion (there was salmon and roast beef, but no rolls/bread to put it on,,,the cypress salad did not have balsamic to put on it). It was a little pricey for what there was. Our server was good...attentive and nice.

What they have done with this building is amazing! The ambiance is so beautiful inside and out. The staff is very warm and inviting like visiting the Italian side of your family. The food is so fresh and delicious and authentic it's brilliant! I suggest everything on the menu. The pizza, this is no joke, could be the best I have ever had. That sounds like it could be an exaggeration but I can assure you ,it is not. My personal favorite is the eggplant parm entree. They have a great bar on the patio and a quaint one by the kitchen. The food is fantastic, The ambiance is so warm and inviting and they even have a gelato bar filled with all the classic favorites. The prices for what you get is right on target. The portions might even seem a little to large but you will finish it all. I work close by and I am so happy they opened. So happy in fact tomorrow is my wife's day off and I'm taking her. I highly recommend making this place a regular stop. Enjoy!

Positives first. The food was really good, however our particular server was not so great. She did not come back unless we had someone else get her attention which we had to do twice. We were not offered more drinks until we had to flag her down. Also the air conditioner was not that strong considering how hot it was that day. I hope the manager will not be chinsy and lower the AC on these hot summer days.

I have a love/hate relationship with Cristino's. I won't bury the lead: their pizza and wings are out of this world delicious and are the best in Ybor City. The other food though? Not so much. I will admit to trying their dishes that they would put on special on the weekends as my basis for saying that. The specials weren't good--maybe I was there on a bad night or two, but it's hard to shake the thought of when you're screwing up something as simple as pasta, what's wrong with your establishment? That was a large part of why I stopped going there as of last summer. The other factor was that the staff was mediocre at best. I don't mean the service was terrible, I mean that "managers" (or at least, people pretending to be managers) would berate the busy waitresses in front of other customers and it was just unprofessional. So, where does the love for Cristino's fit into this review? Once football season rolled around, I wanted a quality delivery pizza and I saw that Cristino's was finally delivering with some pretty good specials. I ordered the pizza and wings special on a weekly basis because it was simply the best tasting (and best priced) that I could find; and believe me, I looked far and wide for alternatives. In the interest of full disclosure, I was only disappointed once when they went to the wrong apartment and didn't bother to call me to follow up on what happened--they subsequently delivered the cold food that had been sitting for two hours at that point. I think once Cristino's get their consistency issues worked out they will be a completely amazing alternative to the boring/unimaginative Bernini that is just down the street.

The Clearwater location was dead before Cristino's came into it, run by brothers who know how to make coal-fired oven pizzas better than anyone else around! I used to live a few steps away, and their parking lot was always full of fancy cars and SUV's. People keep on coming, including us, for the excellent variety of food choices and authentic atmosphere. Not to mention the gelato. The inside room is cozy and small, but there is a nice, covered, outside area to dine, too. You'd be sorry if you visited the area, liked pizza, and never gave Cristino's a try. Even my friend from Milan, Italy testified that this is the "real deal!" The very next day he returned to bring his wife for lunch!

Located on 8th Avenue diagonally across from GameTime, it is off the main street in Ybor. They have indoor dining and a large outdoor courtyard area. They have created a modern, contemporary environment unlike any other than Ybor City. I visited at lunch and had the Brooklyn Panini it was grilled chicken, fried eggplant and mozzarella cheese. Would definitely order it again. The waitress said to come back and try the Quattro Formaggi pizza which she said is amazing. It has mozzarella, ricotta, goat and Gorgonzola cheese. Before the check came, the waitress brought samples of their homemade gelato. The Stracciatella (vanilla with dark chocolate) was the best. I will definitely return soon to try their pasta dishes and pizza. The service was outstanding. In addition to the waitress, the seating host and the busboy checked on me twice to be sure everything was to my satisfaction. This is a winner.

Wonderful ambiance, what a sweet little jewel added to Ybor! Beautiful patio and indoor seating, A GELATO COUNTER, and true interest in customer satisfaction. We had: Brushetta Marg. pizza, add pep (and this is real pep off the block, people. None of that Hormel packaged stuff) Gelato- Oreo & Peanut Butter HAPPY. STUFFED. SATISFIED. All items were fresh, delish, and warrant return visits. I actually took the gelato home, our server was more than happy to package some up for me :) An absolute delight.

Ended up here on a Saturday night due to the great reviews. We were told to pick a table outside and someone would be with us. It wasn't busy- only five tables had people. A young kid came over and dropped off menus and two waters but no one ever came back. We sat for 15 minutes while watching five employees wander around. We finally just got up and walked out. No one noticed! Wish we had more to report, but the pizza and service at Tampa Bay Brewing Company was top notch as usual. #dontcheatonyourspot

Just had the most amazing lunch in Ybor City. Our host Tommy was such a delight and our server Faith could not have been any more friendly!!! Tommy hails from New York and used to own bars and restaurants and took a friend up on his suggestion heove to FL. We started with a Caesar and an Arugula salad which were both very good! Then we ordered the coal fired Margherita DelRusso pizza with extra basil and asked for extra crispy. The crust was perfect --- thin and crispy (not soggy)! They also had what looked to be an awesome lunch buffet for $10.99. Faith gave us a taste of two very tasty homemade gelatos but we were too stuffed from lunch to order dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Best hidden gem in Ybor. Family run atmosphere with great food. All the pastas we've tried have been amazing. Pesto is fresh and homemade. The gelato teasers given at the end of each meal are just mean. Stop by just for the gelato if you're in the area.

Pie as good as it gets. Fresh ingredients, great crust and cooked just right in a brick oven. Atmosphere was super with a nice patio to enjoy the warm Tampa evening. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Don't forget the gelato!

This is one of the best places where we had pizza. Very tasty, and crunchy. Bianca is the best to try, margarita was also good,we added mushrooms for like 1 or 2$. The service is good and the atmosphere during the weekdays is good for families, we did not try it on the weekend.

This is by far the best Italian food I have had in Florida . I had the arugula salad, and flounder. Just like grandma in nyc made! The prices are more then reasonable, and the gelato is a great finish to the meal. I have had the pizza in the past and I dream about it when I'm hungry, but wanted to try something different this time. You can't beat this place for a great family atmosphere with great food.

They have amazing thin authentic pizza. We had the margahrita and it was delicious. My co-worker got the calamari and loved it! A bunch of us order it for lunch about once a week and we are located near international airport. They deliver all the way from Ybor. My husband used to always go to the Clearwater location and still raves about the pizza. We are excited to have one closer to us now

Living in Europe for a couple of years I've had the opportunity to dine on authentic Italian cuisine. I found Cristino's on Yelp and read the reviews. I decided to eat there and ordered the Pizza Italiano. It reminds me of the tartufina I ordered in Italy without the truffles. The food truly took me back to the food I was spoiled with living in Italy. The icing on the cake was the gelato. I've had plenty of so called gelato in the US. The gelato here reminded me of the gelato store where I lived in Italy. Great place and great food.

On a missing to find the best local restaurants in Florida I encountered Cristino's on a Saturday afternoon . We were immediately greeted by a staff member. They were having some type of Pub Crawl around Ybor which made it a little bit too loudly and not fitting with their ambiance. Our female server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about their food. After a few recommendations we decided to get the 12" personal margarita and four cheese pizza. The only downside was the missing basil which makes a huge difference but for a $1 extra you get and extra side. It's the best pizza I have ever tried in a long time. It is perfectly brick oven cooked and home made sauces are outstanding. The crust is so delicious that you can even eat it by itself. They also managed to accomodate my drink request. And to end my cheating day we ended up with coconut home made gelato oh my so creamy and delicious. I will definitely recommend it and will come back again when in the area!

Manicotti was fantastic! The fresh basil was a beautiful touch. Sale was fresh and the balsamic vinegar dressing was refreshing and tangy. Service could have been a bit more attentive. One "bartender" really lacked energy and, in fact, popped a Red Bull while we were there. The young lady who took care of us was a far better representation of the fine food at this very nice establishment. Overall, a great experience. We will be back! Redemption! The Red Bull worked and our bartender buddy became great! Changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars! Yay!

This stylish restaurant is a definitely a nice change from the more casual decor of most pizza places. Probably because this isn't just a pizza place. The extensive menu is filled with moderately priced offerings, from hot and cold paninis to pastas and salads plus fish dishes and other entrees, like eggplant parmigiana. That means you may be tempted to order something other than pizza. Don't do it. Even if you order a 12-inch coal-fired, brick oven pizza, to share be sure to try a pie. The crust is the elusive , but oh-so-desirable combination of crispness and chewiness and the mozzarella is excellent. The interior has a small bar area and a fair number of tables throughout but the noise level, depending on whether or not someone is bellowing at the bar, can be a bit detracting and distracting. There is also a lovely outdoors area facing 8th Avenue which tends to be a little more low key than the always lively 7th Avenue. This is the second Tampa Bay area location for this restaurant, joining its first spot in Clearwater. All I can say is Bravo, Cristino's.

  • Tristan S.

A new Italian restaurant in Ybor, Cristino's began in Clearwater. We ordered the Bruschetta and Mozzarella In Carozza, which came with a serving of marinara sauce. The bread in the Bruschetta was lightly toasted, just enough for crunch. The Mozarella In Carozza was lightly fried, and was complemented well by the marinara sauce. The marinara was particularly excellent; not too acidic or sweet, but the perfect blend of taste and texture. For entrees, we shared the Margherita DeLusso, with pepperoni on one half. The pizza crust was the highlight. I ordered the Homemade Ravioli (three cheese) and enjoyed the texture. All in all, the service and food was excellent.

The Clearwater location has always been one of my favorite pizza spots in all of Tampa Bay. Ybor City did not quite stack up to the expectation of the Cristinos in Clearwater. The vibe was good, can't say the experience was bad. It just missed the mark in certain areas. For starters, I was not confident that the waiter knew the menu as well as they should have. Ordered the Salmon dish based on a recommendation on yelp, showed the picture to my waiter and asked them to order me that same exact dish. Was told it was the salmon piccata, sounded good to me... came back with a salmon dish that looked nothing like the picture, didn't even include the pasta, was told later I could substitute the vegetables for the pasta, so needless to say we got off on the wrong foot. Also, got the penne pasta on a red sauce, nothing special, thought it was a bit boring to be honest. Later my waiter brought a lemonade with a dead bug floating on the top. (this things happen I know)... The margherita Pizza was excellent as usual, no complaints here. ordered a small kids spinach/mushroom pizza, a-ok, I've had much better. Again, not the best and not the worst... would rather go to the clearwater location though.

I don't think I was ever as excited as I was about food when I learned that Cristino's opened a new store, & in Ybor of all places. Amazing food. Fantastic atmosphere. Everyone is so nice there. Our server, Lauren, was a peach. I'll be going back again & again & again. Thanks Cristino's for opening a new shop closer to home.

The most authentic Italian food in the city. I definitely found my spot for good ole Italian cuisine. Not only are the entries and appetizers phenomenal but the deserts are heavenly. Best Gelato I have had since visiting Rome Italy. You have to try the white chocolate and coconut gelato. Can't get enough of it. As for entries I had linguini with clams and It was amazing. I would strongly suggest a stop here if your visiting or if your a resident. You will not be disappointed

Just found Cristino's lunch buffet. It's new as of this review, M-W 11am-2pm. Great value for hand made ravioli, tilapia piccata, homemade meatballs, chicken parmesan, and a salad. The menu changes each day, so don't count on all of the above items to be there. If you're not feeling the buffet, get the pizza, and finish it all off with some gelato. All good!

The pasta primavera Alfredo was delish! I cannot comment enough how fresh the vegetables, pasta, and homemade sauce tasted. I can cook pasta at home... but not like this. The staff and management were friendly and personable, I felt very welcome on my visit. Definitely worth giving a try, a definite stop for any true foodie!

I have gone to plenty of pizza places but Cristino's has stolen my heart. The margherita pizza withe sauce on top of the pizza was super delicious. The pizza is thin and was enough to enjoy with friends. Fresh ingredients make the pizza especially appetizing. We also had the spinach homemade ravioli with vodka sauce. Wow big portion and thin pasta making you want more. We had sampling of gelatos and found we likes the toasted almond and stracciatella. The coffee and cannoli is good way to end the meal. The staff is wonderful and nice. It is a nice spot with indoor or outdoor seating. Everyone should stop by and enjoy some good Italian food

Unfortunately, I cannot make a true review for this establishment. What started of with excitement turned into a long drawn out disappointment. I received menu under my hotel door (is this even allowed) and decided to give Cristino's a chance and a call for a quick dinner. I ordered one dish, which took 6 minutes to order (the operator may have been new so it was ok) and was told it would be around 30 minutes or so. 1 hour later, I call and ask what happened to my order. I was told it left 10-15 minutes ago.... typical response. 20-30 minutes later... no food, I call and I am again told that it just left 10-15 minutes... I cancelled my order. Way to make a first impression. I do not mind a late driver, I do mind being led on to believe that my food is on its way. Tell me that you guys are behind and I can accept that... Rant...

Glad they opened another outdoor restaurant. I have a one year old and it's great to be able to bring the family out to enjoy a meal. The food is reasonably priced and the outdoor sitting area is amazing. Don't forget they have sangria specials from 4-7pm. $2.. That's allot of sangria to enjoy on that budget!

Great fresh ingredients & non-greasy pizza! Ordered delivery and it arrived not particularly "hot" but still tasted great! We found our new pizza place in Ybor! Better than the New York pizza place in Ybor!

Fantastic homemade manicotti. The pizza crust is a perfectly cooked and just a touch crispy but still soft in the middle. Highly recommend!

Sitting here waiting one hour and five minutes after ordering delivery. Called back twice and was refused a refund. We are only a few blocks away and was told the driver is five miles from us. Manager advised for us to keep waiting. Never again.

Very nice outdoor area for happy hour! Management was very welcoming and appreciated our business. Had the calzone. Full of cheese! It was a great meal after being at work all day. I think this place could be a cool hang out on Friday's after work and relaxing on Sunday's. Hope to try more the the menu soon!

Pizza was very good, but not quite amazing. Was lacking cheese, which is really the only fault I could find. The pepperoni is exceptionally good and our server was very, um, interesting. But I guess that's ybor.

After reading the reviews, I was really excited about giving Cristino's a try. I had the manicotti and meatballs. The filling in the manicotti was dry. The tomato sauce was bland and the meatballs tasted like they came frozen from GFS. My wife had the house Salmon special. In her words it was "Nothing to write home about...". Overall, we found the food edible but lacking flavor.

By far the best pizza in Ybor City - quite possibly all of Tampa! I remember the venue when it was a bar, they have done some serious renovations and it looks amazing. The staff is all very friendly and enthusiastic, the manager even took us for a tour. Apparently the pizza ovens came from NYC... The gelato cooler came from Italy! They paid attention to every detail and it shows in the building as well as the food! The pizza is by far the star of the show. Try the wings too, they are grilled with onions. Unique and tasty!

Fantastic addition to Ybor! They renovated the space which includes a large, beautiful patio and new oven. House made mozzarella and gelato are among the best you'll find anywhere and the pizza, well, let's just say try the Margarita with prosciutto added and come see me. It's delicious! Bonus is they deliver in Ybor and the service is top notch. This place is the tits!

I so enjoyed my meal here! Ironically we did not have pizza, but the wings and calamari were prepared perfectly! I also had the Cristinos salad which was very tasty and generously portioned. I am looking forward to going back.

My office mates and I love this restaurant and eat lunch here frequently. We also take guests here for business lunches. The staff is friendly and welcoming as well as very service oriented. The food is delicious and their lunch buffet Mon-Wed is the best and tastiest deal in Ybor. I never had gelato before, but they brought some free samples to the table and I was hooked. They have a great variety of gelato flavors so you can try something different each time. They also have a great outdoor patio area so you can enjoy everything inside or out. They are only one block off of 7th Ave, just behind Bernini's but a lot of people are missing out on this Ybor gem. If you try it, I'm confident you'll go back for more.

We popped in here recently for an early dinner prior to a concert. We sat at the bar as we usually do and Kyle, our bartender/server was delightful. He recommended a wine which was lovely and he walked us through the menu making several good comments and recommendations. We settled on pizza, a specialty, and were not disappointed. The ingredients were very fresh and the flavor was delish. The ambiance is good and they have a lovely outdoor patio. It's off the beaten path of 7th Ave but look for it - you will be glad you did!

been to Christino's several times and the food is really good our most recent visit our server faith was more intrested in what her friends were doing than addressing our needs wanted to order a bottle of wine with dinner but never saw her after she delivered water to table .

Great place in Ybor City!!! Not the typical restaurant with character you will find in Ybor, but a place with delicious food and excellent service. The place is clean, bright and cozy at the same time, a big patio area, great for a glass of wine during not so hot days. The food: very fresh, really good dough, perfectly cook, homemade mozzarella and homemade gelato. We had one of the pizzas, really good and the key was the fresh ingredients. The brushettas were good, although I would toast the bread a little bit more and add more amount of condiments, but the fresh ingredients were the perfect touch. Definitely will go back and try the pastas and paninis.

Great ambiance and amazing gelatto. The pizza (quattro fromaggi) was good but nothing extraordinary. The service however was EXCELLENT! Best part of the whole experience. The entire staff was aware of all the tables and would pass by to ask if we needed refills and if everything was ok. Do NOT order the mozarella carozza... not worth it. Just a block of weird bread with little cheese inside.

Just when I thought Ybor had enough pizza... Cristino's coal fired pizza is a welcome addition to our neighborhood!!!

Waited ten minutes to get the waitress' attention after we were seated. After putting our drink order in, in a half empty restaurant we left after waiting another 15 minutes. I saw a lot of staff hanging around so I have no idea what was taking so long. When I caught the waitresses going to another table I asked if our drinks were coming, and her response, "of course". Apparently, a 15 minute drink time is standard for this place.

This is my best find yet in Tampa. The food is fresh and tasty. The service is excellent. Their lunch buffet has fish, pasta, margherita pizza and Caesar salad. All fresh ingredients.

We were looking for a place with outdoor seating in Ybor. Decided to try this place cause of all the great reviews, we couldn't have been more pleased with the service, food, drink specials, etc. the coal fired pizza is exceptional. Justin, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. I would highly suggest this place.

I've walked by this place and decided on a whim to try it while my dad was visiting. The restaurant was really quiet and overstaffed when we walked in at the start of a thunderstorm, but it filled up very quickly once things settled a little. It's a popular place, and worth making a reservation for busier times. The staff was very friendly, and the food was phenomenal. We had the bruschetta, I had the crab ravioli, and my dad had the spinach linguine. Both were amazing, and I don't think we said anything for about 15 minutes while we basically licked our plates clean. It was rich without making you feel stuffed, tasty without trying too hard. Needs more garlic though. For dessert, they'd brought us samples of almond and cinnamon gelato (I'd never have tried either of them, but they were both delicious). My dad had the chocolate gelato, I had the tiramisu. Now, I know what you'll be thinking at the end of the meal "But the gelato looks SO good". I know, it is, but it was by far the best tiramisu I'd ever had. It was one of the best meals I've ever had, and still came to just under $50.

Pretty nice place. Homemade gelato is a very nice touch. Wife hade pene pasta and I has the pizza Italia. Both were good dishes. Outdoor patio area is nice on a cool evening like the one I visited on in April. The trolly goes right by you as you are dining. Would come back.

Horrible. Generic pizza sauce and crust. The only reason why I eat it at all cause it took 45 min to get our food so I was starving.

Just finished a margharita pizza then we had canoli and peanut butter gelato for dessert. All I can say is awesome ! Fantastic service even though it was crazy busy. Everyone that walked buy our table, asked if they could do anything for us. FRIENDLY !

What can I say, except this place has EXCELLENT food for an excellent price. Their Quatro Formaggi pizza and Penne Pesto with garlic bread changed my life. I mean, I never knew pizza or pasta could be soooo good. Add to this the fact that it's probably the cleanest place in Ybor with a very nice, relaxing atmosphere, and you won't want to go anywhere else. Love it!

After reading glowing reviews on Yelp, we were looking forward to experiencing Cristino's. They need to work on customer service. We were seated at a table, then informed that they would have to move us because they were expecting a large party. Once we were seated at another table, we were completely ignored. A server spent several minutes chatting with the party seated at a table just inches away. After being completely ingnored for too long, we walked out. There are too many other restaurants in Ybor City offering great food and service that we did not need to continue to stay there waiting to be acknowledged.

We went for the food because the Clearwater location is amazing. As expected, the food was absolutely wonderful. However, the place is not well managed. The staff was oblivious and not very professional. I hope it was just an off night, we will give it another chance.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
