High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Was coming home from a long day at the office, so I decided to stop in for a beer and some wings. Boy was that a BAD call. When they asked for my ID they said that my ID was not a real Tennessee ID. Upon emptying out every other ID I had the manager proceeded to call me a liar, saying "I was not going to pull one over on him" So me, my completely real Drivers Licence, Military ID, and multiple credit and debit cards. Took our business else way. Beware of Sherlock Douche, the knower of all IDs everywhere. Take your empty stomachs elsewhere.

I've been to this Beef O'Brady's around a dozen times, and I'm always happy with the food and service I receive. I appreciate how friendly the servers are, and love that they're always smiling and having fun on the job. The menu is pretty large, and they have great drink specials. I've gone to Thursday night trivia there a few times, and have always had a blast. Also, I love that they give away free beer when the Rays score a home run, so I'd suggest you visit during a Rays game. I look forward to visiting again during football season!

Our 15+ party was given a socluded room where the two waitresses were able to handle our large party easily. The chicken fingers with curly fries were good but what made them great was the two cups of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. They even gave us a military discount for our meals which is always a plus.

No Curley fries Good+ burger. Enjoyed the wings, not to spicy. Fish & Chips a real disappointment: overly battered, small pieces of fish. Heavy on salt. Malt Vinegar was not offered. Would have been nice to have with real chips or curly Fries.

The parking situation can be a bit bad. But on a few times I haven't had much trouble. There are a lot of kids there almost every time I've gone which I completely understand but sometimes they just run amok. However that's not the restaurants fault. The food was very good and came in a reasonable amount of time. I wouldn't suggest the pizza though. Unless you like really really thin crust. Overall it's one of my favorite places to eat on the fly.

I like this Beefs, the service is always good, ready with a new beer or another wing. There are plenty of TVs and quiet areas to sit and chat. I like that it is a family place, kids are welcome, and it is not at all a problem. A secret is the fish and chips are great, an the grilled fish is good low calorie option. Pair it with some wine, and you can enjoy the game guilt free. The beignets rock here. I don't care that you had a beer, try one. They are fantastic. Its worth blowing the diet.

order an appetizer which was brought out with our meal. Waitress told us that they didn't carry a certain beer so I went up to the bar to check and they DID have it. Just HORRIBLE service!!!

Very friendly staff. Food was good as it always is at Beef's. I really like the convenience of the small drink station in the back (see pic). Very efficient!

Our waitress was very friendly, as well as the whole staff. Everything is priced fairly well, IMO. I like the overall layout of this place, you have numerous tv's as well some video games to play. Now onto the food part. We had the honey bbq flavored wings, and they were good. Not over cooked, just plain good!!! The sauce was right on point. The pulled pork sandwich was good as well as the beef o' brady burger. Definitely will come back when were in the area again.

I've been to other beef's but this one was pretty good. Service was good and our waitress was very friendly. their wings were awesome! The night we went they were slammed but our waitress made sure to acknowledge we waited for a bit of time, she also didn't charge us for any of our drinks i.e. soda (since another waitress did mess up one of the sodas). overall it was a good experience.

I am convinced Beef's has some of the best wings in Tampa! The lemon pepper wings are my newest obsession! You have to get the wings done crispy (15 minute cook time) well worth the wait. We also tried the garlic ones and the teriyaki ones, I wasn't a fan. If you go on a Wednesday they do 60 cent wings! So worth it! We loved going here for trivia on Thursday as well!

Horrible while waiting 30 minutes watching our waitress serve all the other tables around us she FINALLY decided to come over and ask if she could take our order, we politely asked for the manager, we told him we were not paying for our drinks and we would take our business else where. He offered us his business card as if it was going to feed us or something Ridiculous! Worse part is it wasnt even that busy... doesn't matter how popular your restaurant is, if you dont have the service to back it up then it doesnt say anything for itself.

Tonight the food was better than than it has been for a long time. Thank goodness they brought back curly fries! We had the most delightful , sincere and honest server imaginable, Taylor. She may be the only reason we return! Because the "manager, Dave" was a lazy and rude specimen to be sure. Aaron, what are you thinking? There was one booth, to your credit, and Dave did everything he could not to have clean somebody else's table. "Theres a booth right there" surrounded by the noisy kids' games...just what anybody with a level of sanity would want. They advertise free beer when the Rays score...it became 4-1 when I mentioned it to him, and he said "oh you're the only one who noticed" . Seriously, let's honor specials only when reminded. He came out with great fanfare for a 7oz beer. Send him back to training ...or promote one of the women who deserve it, that have the BOB attitude. I hosted a soccer party last year that was huge. Not going to happen until this pompous, incompetent fool is gone... But, the funnel fries, a variation of the beignets that you served were GREAT. Aaron, seriously, question whose minding your store when you're not there. I noticed some other disgruntled customers too.

I went there for a school fundraiser. I hadn't been to a Beef o Brady's in quite awhile. I was impressed with how large the menu was. The service was good. I have been trying to watch healthier and was able to find many items on the menu. I enjoyed the grilled shrimp, broccoli and rice. It was delicious. I also saw they had trivia night on Thursday. I would like to try it one night.

Yummy wings and curly fries!!!!! We like getting takeout from here on weekends and watching football at home (to avoid all the kids running around). My only "beef" with this place is the parking lot can be kinda tricky.

  • K.L. R.

We do our University of Kentucky alumni watch parties here for basketball and football games... The owner really accommodates us and lets us have UK paraphernalia as well as reserved seating with drink and food specials during the big games. The parking lot needs some work as well as the servers aren't always on top of their game. They do get busy as we have as many as 100 people show up sometimes but I still feel like the service isn't quite top notch. The food is just regular pub tasting food, which is actually a good thing!
