Beaunes, also known as West Palm Wines is located in a non- descript block building on the SEC on Palm Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. It is adjacent to Tony's Restaurant which is a good place of a totally different genius species. They specialize in French wines, we had a bottle of good white and red burgundy. They have an extensive selection of cheeses to go with any wine you may order. A bottle of wine, cheese tray and their great French onion soup makes a full meal. The soup was the right combination of broth, cheese and bread - not too salty like you typically get. There were 4 entrees, salmon, duck, short rib and I can't remember the 4th. Salmon was very good. To finish off, we had a very good flour less Chocolate cake. Only open on Thur, Fri and Sat nights. Also a very good venue for private parties - rehearsal diners, etc.

This place sort of appears out of nowhere as it's off the main strips of Ybor. I've never been here for their restaurant or bar, but their wine store is fantastic! I was really impressed by the wide range of quality wines from all over the world that were under $10. The only thing I noticed is that they don't seem to have one of my favorite whites, Verdejo, but that seems to be the case most places.

This place is a hidden gem. It is a spacious restaurant where you can enjoy gorgeous wines and very decent food. The wine shop is great, but find an employee to take you into their cooler for the good stuff. They have 19th century Rothchild Lafite wines in their cellar! Prices are similar to the wines at Bern's. Pick out your bottle, then pay a $10 corkage to have it at the restaurant. We had a lovely 1989 Grand Cru from Bordeaux's Margaux region. To help wash it down, we went with their cheese and charcuterie platter. They have an extensive list of cheese and meat. I felt that the cheeses were better options than the meats. We had an extra sharp Irish cheddar, a Spanish manchego, and an Italian truffled sheep and cow cheese. We also tried the prosciutto and the Serrano ham. They gave us cornichon, olives, dried fruit, grapes and nuts. We probably could have stopped ordering then. However, we wanted to try the entrees. We both went with the special plates, so I can't comment on the regular menu, but I can say that the rabbit was mildly overcooked, but the potatoes cooked in duck fat were heavenly. My husband finished his red snapper before I could think about stealing a bit. Dessert looked fine, but who can eat after a bottle of wine, tons of cheese and cured meats, and generously portioned main courses? I don't think reservations are required since the place seemed half-empty, but it wouldn't hurt, especially if you have a large party. There is free parking behind the restaurant.

Beaune's Wine Bar is a lesser known wine bar/restaurant outside of Ybor. The restaurant has a romantic, cozy atmosphere without any of the pretentiousness. The owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgable. The adjoining wine store (West Palm Wines) has a great selection of European wines from $5 to $5,000. For a $10 corking fee you can enjoy bottles of wine purchased at the store in the bar or restaurant. I haven't been here for dinner (yet). Usually we hang out on the cozy couches and order a charcuterie platter with different cheeses and meats and a bottle of wine. If you are a lover of good wine you must check out Beaune's Wine Bar!

We spotted Beaune's Wine Bar as we were driving to Columbia Restaurant (it's only a block or two away). Wanting to have a bit of variety, we decided to stop in for a glass of wine and dessert after our meal at Columbia's. That turned out to be a very good decision. Beaune's had a modest but very high quality selection of wines that would be difficult to find most anywhere else. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed a glass of Sauternes with a slice of chocolate cake whilst relaxing on a comfortable couch. This was exactly what we were looking for to round out the evening. Classy.

Promising but ultimately disappointed. So excited for meals, which sounded good and probably would have tasted good too, if they weren't so terribly overcooked. Good meat (lamb chop and duck confit) gone bad!

Although unassuming from the outside, we were very pleasantly surprised once walking through the door. The interior decor is very well done. We were greeted by the owner who gave us a tour of the wine bar and attached wine shop. He was very knowledgable about he wines and very personable. We did not try any of the food, as we stopped in after dinner, however the menu looked appetizing. I definitely plan on returning.

I went there last night with a few friends.. we had wine and cheese and overall I enjoyed it (bill was $107). We decided to go down the street to grab a quick bite to eat. We left 2 of our cars there and carpooled to the other location. When we came back at 11:40pm the place was closed and our cars were locked in the parking lot behind a padlocked gate. There were no notices or other indication that they would lock your car up. Think it's pretty bad business and I question if it's legal to do that. I had to get a ride home and go back this morning when they opened to get my car back. 4 of the 5 members of my group are all attorney's. If we wanted to make it into a bigger scene we would have. I chose to write bad reviews telling of my experience, never go there again, and make sure that none of my friends do either. Very bad policy decision on their end and I hope that with this feedback they consider changing it.

Great little known spot with a huge selection of wines and staff who know which ones to pair your food with. The chef is top notch and the food tastes like there had been some real effort put into it. The Duck Confit alone will drag you back for more. Dress nice and bring your table manners.

This place is a TOTAL RIP OFF FOR ANY SPECIAL EVENTS THEY HOST. We went to a "jazz" night last night. $20.00 to get in. They said the wine list was "anything you buy off the shelf". What they didn't tell you is that there was a $10.00 corking fee for each bottle (We assumed our twenty dollar cover would have taken care of the corking fee) They charged $38 dollars for a cheese tray that should have been served for one. We couldn't find the cheese!!! Not kidding! We saw another table's tray, and it was AMAZING! (They were friends with the owner) They charged $36 for 6 sliders, that you could not find the meat, because it was the size of a quarter. We were a party of 5, our bill was 350.00 (our bottles cost $37, $15, and $10) and we had to go eat after since we were starving. TOTAL RIP OFF! And THEY DIDN'T CARE...They have their clique and that is all they care about. If you're not friends with the owner you're treated like crap. Service was horrible also, with NO apology.
