High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Great happy hour and half price appetizers ? I'm there ! In all seriousness , I'm only a fan of the wings and mozzarella sticks. The food is ok at best . Nothing that has made me go crazy. But if you want a cheap bite to eat this is your place

I enjoy the soup and salad lunch specials. They have a lot of different choices for the lunch special and I can always find something I like. The waitress was also very friendly and took care of our needs well.

My BF and I both LOVE this place. We are regulars at this location and find the service and food exceptional. We love the nachos and boneless chicken apps and the Perfect Margaritas are to die for and keep us coming back every week.

We have been here for to-go twice in the past two weeks. I have to say it did not disappoint either time. The food was hot and fresh. The apps were good. The prices are right, the food was still hit when arrived at home. The portions are plentiful. All around great meal for the value.

I usually sit at the bar and they have half price appetizers 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. everyday. It is a good value and the food is good on the appetizer menu. When I do order from the full menu I've always enjoyed it also.

I just want to preface this review by saying I have fairly low standards for Applebee's. I don't expect much more than a sit down McDonalds. They're like the restaurant version of Justin Bieber -- their popularity is one of the biggest mysteries of our time. For me to be upset about their customer service is saying a lot. I wish I could actually review their food or drinks, but I can't since no one ever came to my table. We asked to sit on the patio, and were redirected to a different area of the patio after a server sitting at a table with her friends shouted to the hostess that we couldn't sit in her section. Which is two big service nos in my book. First, if you are too busy to take another table you damn sure better not be sitting at one, and second what type of person thinks it is socially or professionally acceptable to yell orders across a patio? We waited at least 10 minutes with no one coming to our table. And I don't know if you are aware, but ten minutes in restaurant time feels like three weeks two days seventeen hours and twelve minutes in real world time...yes it was that long. After my boyfriend went to the hostess station to ask them to send someone to our table, still no one showed up. I'm not sure exactly how long we waited before ultimately making like Summer's Eve and getting the funk out of there. I'll put it this way -- it was considerably longer than minute rice would take to cook but shorter than the directors cut of Titanic. If their servers have enough time to sit at a table themselves, maybe they could swing by and take our order. If anything, this server's work ethic is a shining example of why China is gonna take over. I was willing to give Applebee's a try since they do have great drink prices. But this experience reminded me it's just a poor man's Chili's.

Christopher was one of the best servers I've had in a long time. He did a great job all around and overcame the parts of the visit the let him down. Kids burger was close to charred, way over cooked. Side salad was fresh and very nice, Roma steak was a nice surprise, great size, tasty little meal. I subbed roasted zucchini as portobello mushrooms are not my favorite. What really seems to fail these chains is keeping clean. I wonder if managers ever eat at the tables. My oil/vinegar dispensers were sticky and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. How old are the contents? The cool tablet gadgets on the table are nice, except for the smeary glop on the screens. Service was A+ though.

The new overhaul looks pretty good, and the food was tasty, I had their new steak dish with roma tomatoes. The flavour damned tasty! What I didn't like was the overwhelming scent of animal dung. It smelled like I was back stage at Busch Gardens near the elephants. I'm guessing the stink is from the new wood, varnish or some combination of the two, but it is a touch off putting, to say the least. Still 1/2 price apps after 10 can't be beat.

I went there for dinner and they didn't have the ribs that I wanted. This store definetely needs to keep track of its inventory, gross saw a few roaches there, I will report it to the Hillsborough county. I always go there and get the same thing, the manager on duty didn't even check on the table. Our server was very nice. Next time I am definetely going to Chillis they have amazing service.

My wife and I come here about once every two months since it's right around the corner. It's usually when we want to go out but have been pigging out lately so we go to try their 550 calorie plates. We were placed, as one of the other reviewers was, at the back table closest to the exit. However, their service seemed a lot better. We had a waitress come up one minute after we got our menus, so we ordered our drinks and begged off a little until we had time to figure out what we wanted. My wife ordered the Napa Chicken and Portibellos (550 calories) and I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp (not 550, somewhere around 650). They arrived about 12 minutes after we ordered. My wife was very satisfied with the flavor and moistness of the chicken she had. My meal was good with the same results: good flavor and moist. The shrimp was great as well as the sauce. All in all, not a bad time. Price was right...around $30 including the drinks (sweetened tea and Pepsi). The service was very good, indicating they may be reading their reviews. Will I go back. Yes.

Absolutely ghastly . I ordered a steak with mushrooms. The meat was bottom of the barrel quality and it was so excessively salty that I had to send it back. I then ordered a basic burger. That was tasteless, greasy and the beef patty was a mess, most of it fell apart. I could have made a better burger. How does this place stay busy? I am perplexed

We were a group of 16..yes we knew we had to wait on space but the service was horrible. I ordered spinach dip and chicken quesadilla. The dip was burnt and hard, The quesadilla was so burnt you can smell it from across the room, the srawberry lemonade was watered down, not a taste or colored strawberry. We also ordered sliders and the 3 orders were burnt. The waitress took like 20 minutes to get 1 coke and the food took an hour! Nwvermind the appetizers came after the burnt food. Never again and it was my first time in this Applebee's. This place is no good for group seating. Gave 1 star because I have to in order to place review!

Took a while to just get our water. Got tried with the portion size for the pasta. A huge ultimate frisbee plate but skimpy portions the size of my hand. The ribs were cold and had to send them back which took a while and when it came back they basically burnt the sauce off, so we asked for more sauce, but it was COLD. Back to square one. Didn't even bother to ask for it to be heated up. When I asked for more water during my meal my server took my only cup and took a while to come back for a refill while I was waiting, very parched and thirsty. This restaurant location will never see my face again. Nope.

Horrible service, the server never refilled the sodas at the table. He walked by several times but only checked in on the table once. I rather drive further and wait longer at the other Applebee's in my area.
