The food is solid Chinese takeout. It's not on Azu level, but it's CHEAP AND TASTY. I'm definitely keeping it on standby for those times when I don't want to cook but don't want to spend a whole bunch. To be honest, this is a huge plus for me. I've lived in New York where decent corner Chinese food spots pop up everywhere. Here, the Chinese food joints leave much to be desired. I'm not a fan of yellow rice masquerading as fried rice, or sweet and sour chicken with burnt pieces of chicken covered in greasy batter. Yet, some of these Yelpers have rated places that serve such food as 4 star. I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice, two spring rolls and krab rangoon. All tasted fresh, even the egg rolls and krab rangoon. I could tell they just dropped the egg rolls into the oil, b/c it was really crispy, but it wasn't greasy. Same goes for the krab rangoon. My husband had the mongolian beef and he enjoyed the heck out of it. He kept eating it even after he was full.

I read the 4 reviews (one 5 star, one 3 star, one 2 star and one 1 star) they had and still decided to give it a try. The food was very bland (I should've listened to Kim S.). I ordered an egg drop wonton soup, chicken soup with noodles and kung pao chicken. The soups had no flavor whatsoever; it tasted like water instead of broth. Also, the chicken in the chicken soup with noodles did not taste like chicken. I had a spoonful of both soups and decided it wasn't worth eating. The kung pao chicken had a little flavor, but was not worth eating either. The chicken in this dish didn't taste like chicken; it was mushy with a weird texture. Didn't want to chance getting sick so the meal was left almost untouched.

Twice I ordered food here that was supposed to be very mild, and both times, it ended up being too spicy for me to eat. Never had sesame chicken that was too hot to eat. The other time I specifically requested for the dish to be mild, and it was still very hot. Additionally, quality of the chicken was poor -- even if it was not too spicy, it still would not have been very good. After a first negative experience, I gave it another chance, but after a second bad experience, I will never go back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
