What a pleasant surprise. I received a gift card to Red Lobster and hadn't used it in a year. My daughter was in town, and we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was clean, the food good, and the service excellent! I will definitely come back again. Nice job Red Lobster.

Dinner was delicious , service was excellent and restaurant was very clean. Great experience! I had the grilled seafood trio and it was cooked to perfection!

I only went here twice, a long time ago, but I remember it to be good food and service. It's a little bit of a tight squeeze though.

Gritty clam chowder that I was ready to excuse before they told me the chowder is not prepared in house. Overcooked shrimp in the skampi Hostesses that just stare at you as you come through the door, rather than greeting you. I remember when Red Lobster used to be a decent place to eat.

I am not in the habit of writing one-star reviews. Red Lobster as a chain is consistently, year after year, just a really, really bad dining choice and, more particularly, my most recent visit showed that while the Tallahassee location may have just undergone a remodel, it is still just lipstick on a pig. I am from right on the Gulf Coast and know what good seafood is. Good seafood ought to be fresh and need not be expensive (especially in a place as close to the coast as Tallahassee) and also doesn't need to be gimmicky. Red Lobster is the Olive Garden of seafood - literally - it's the same corporate operation. I never come here of my own volition, but, inevitably, someone with no taste decides to make me shell out $20 a plate at one of these atrocities to food. That's the worst part about Red Lobster. Captain D's has the same quality of food (and tastes better) and is half the price. Almost nothing on the menu is under $15 per person, and much of it is substantially more. All of the fish I've had at Red Lobster is formless and tasteless. Snapper? Grouper? Tilapia? Who knows? They all taste and look the same here, served with flavorless vegetables and boring mashed potatoes. During my most recent visit, even the Caesar Salad wasn't very good. It had like 3 croutons and had more dressing than greens. It was basically a Caesar Soup. Then, knowing that I didn't want to spend $15-$20 on the same sorry Red Lobster seafood I'd had before, I thought I'd choose an affordable and basically impossible to screw up dish - fish & chips. About all I can say is that the fries were pretty good. The (cod?) was dry, overcooked, and did not have very much flavor. In all seriousness, the fish & chips at Beef O'Brady's is better, and that is not saying much. Also, it again proves how overpriced Red Lobster is that for over $12 you get two medium size pieces of fish and a side of fries. I'm pretty sure that's the $3.99 Tuesday special at Captain D's, and they'd probably give you a drink. Speaking of drinks, the cheapest wines on the menu (we are talking Sutter Home and Robert Mondavi stuff here) are over $6 a glass. I generally don't drink at restaurants because I am (obviously) price conscious, but the brands they are pushing at those prices? It's a travesty. I could tell that the Tallahassee location had some servers and hosts who really cared, but we had a lengthy wait when the restaurant was nearly empty at 7:30 p.m. (the senior citizens who keep Red Lobster in business had already cleared out) and our server was incredibly awkward and slow, even though she WAS trying and was friendly. And finally, and worst of all, as we were getting ready to leave I saw a server carrying a tray of food to a table stop, and set it down on top of the sink in the server's area to fiddle with the computer system. While she did this, another worker who had been washing something, after waiting a moment, decided to go ahead and pour the bucket of dirty cleaning water in the sink, RIGHT NEXT TO THE FOOD! Now, I didn't see anything splashing, but you know that's a violation. Why not serve the food THEN get on the computer? Why not WAIT to pour the bucket of dirty water into the sink 2 inches from a plate of freshly prepared mussels? I don't know, but it really was the cherry on top of yet another miserable visit to Red Lobster.

I'm usually not a fan of Red Lobster, but I was so hungry, and I had a gift card, so I said "why not?". My server was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious. I ordered the stuffed lobster and crab mushrooms as an appetizer. They were good. The Caesar side salad I had, had a few brown older leaves, and there was too much dressing. For dinner I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with Alfredo. It was amazing. The chicken was tender and juicy, the Alfredo sauce was creamy and flavorful. I would definitely go back.

Excellent service from our server Jonathan, he did an outstanding job. My husband enjoyed his lobster and the biscuits were amazing as always, but everything else was terrible and so salty we couldn't even eat it (and we LOVE salt).

The best service of any Red Lobster I have been to. Our meals were just as we ordered and brought to our table by a very sweet and perfectly attentive server. I ordered a pound of crab legs and she kept half of them under the hot light for me while I worked on the first half. Glasses were kept full and all the little details were handled beautifully. The food was delish, no surprises or problems. The ladies bathroom needs to be updated, but it was clean enough. I would return again and again. Is this review helpful or not? Let me know. Went on a Thursday night and was promptly seated, for there was not many customers. Our waitress was very polite and was attentive to our needs I.e. Making sure our beverages were full and how our dinner was. The meal itself was really good, yet it did take a little while for us to get our food but we were in no rush. Have to say though that with all red lobster locations, the clientele tend to be dressed relaxed, so if you are wanting to grab some sea food after work or maybe a casual date night, then this is your place. Bad side- be smart with your food selections for they like to add a lot of salt to their menus. Very high in calories and sodium!

As usual, they are consistent. I remebered a waiter who was so colorful and I always came back to have him put a show on for me.

Woodgrill is always good. The wait staff and Hostess's were beyond nice. They were smiling and friendly and we got seated quickly for Saturday afternoon. Food was perfect and was quick. I always love coming here.

in our fast paced sea food loving society, red lobster is king. well let me tell you something: its a tyrannical ruler and ive had ENOUGH!!!!! red lobsteer is not a good restaurant. im sorry its just not. if your grandparents make you go here all the time like me, you will understand. there is literally ONE vegetarian meal. i dont do that pescatarian crap. the only veg option is these gross vegetaqble skewers and the one time i got them they were SO SSALTY YOU HAVE NO IDEA. ITS LIKE THEY HAD NO OTHER FLAVOR EXCEPT SALT. I WAS GAGGING. you might think the cheesy biscuits are redeeming. well i must admit they are pretty good. but alas yo ucannot just o\rder those at red lobster. they are free with your meal, but what if i dONT WANT A MEAL???? I JUST WANT THOSE SWEET SWEET BISCUITS and you cant get the "free" bscuits if you doint buy their other gross food. it is so dark and it smells so bad in there like feet and moldy cheese biscuits. there is NO CELLPHONE RECEPTION IN THERE. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE VERIZON YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EVEN USE YOU R PHONE. i dont know how the other food is because i cant even eat it. please save yoursel f the time and money, you can buy a kit at the store to make the biscuits at home. this is a good life hack youre welcome red lobster sux

Red Lobster has lost there touch. My server was excellent. I order the endless shrimp. The new Habanero pineapple coconut shrimp was amazing. The down side to the visit was the host set us down and didn't tell our waitress that we needed to be served. Which caused us to wait to even get drinks. The shrimp in the Alfredo linguine were under cooked. I really do commended our waitress for being a awesome server!

Slow night should have made things a piece of cake, but... kitchen screwups with the salad shrimp and shrimp cocktail; slow getting our featured cocktail from a near empty bar. The meal itself was a B-, though it seemed they put a little extra into it to balance out the start of the night. Through it all and though he's been there only a short time, Davonte kept it tight. He was consistent to check in with us and didn't over-apologize or patronize us. Will likely do a lunch along and ask for Davonte, but we won't be regulars.

I don't enjoy dining at chain restaurants & this trip with my family to Red Lobster topped the charts as to why I do not eat at places like this. Our waiter started off pretty good, but got consistently worse after the drinks were brought. I ordered Tilapia, green beans, and broccoli--how could you possibly screw that easy meal up?? BY ADDING AN ENTIRE CONTAINER OF GARLIC SALT TO THE OVERCOOKED/OUTDATED BROCCOLI!! The green beans were ok, nothing special & the fish was just YUCK!. I took one bite of the broccoli and it had soooo much salt on it, I had to spit it out in a napkin--I know, I know--TMI and GROSS!! The ladies room was no better. There were 2 employees standing at the mirror having a nice long chat while the restroom had 3 or 4 stalls and only 1 had tissue in it. I wish I hadn't been in the minority on the decision-making process of this lunch!

I would almost give this place an ok review... But when husband and I went last, about two months ago, all I could smell was garbage... Or rotten milk. It was gross!!! That was all you could smell... Ugh!

We go to Red Lobster for a couple of reasons: 1) I can get snow crab and 2) I can get garlic-cheddar biscuits. I have lived in Tallahickey since 1990 and I have rarely gotten a bad meal from this restaurant, though admittedly I have gone long periods without eating there. The service was good this time around. I had lobster bisque, which was hot, creamy, and loaded with bits of lobster. Not chunks, but bits. It tasted good, but not fantastic. The biscuits were hot and garlicky and fresh from the oven. A-plus. I had snow crab. It tasted very fresh even though I know it was flash-frozen. RL is accommodating and will let me order a half pound of crab sans the full meal. That fills me up. My guy had grilled salmon and shrimp with steamed veggies. He liked the fish well enough, but did not care for the barbeque sauce on the fish. It was cooked just right. He still ate every bite. The restaurant was reasonably clean, though it is getting that odor that indicates it needs a good carpet cleaning and steaming along with a good degreasing for the tables. I am also having some issues with Darden's business practices, but that is another story altogether. This is about food. I will have to think on the other matter.

Mandatory Cheese biscuits! Ordered off the specials menu, seafood was nothing more than "meh"! Average sized portions.

The service here for the most part is great at anytime. But this last time was weird because they didn't have the cheddar biscuits! We didn't get the biscuits until after our meals were received. :-( We normally like to have a few drinks with salad and biscuits and bring the meal home. (I know we can't be the only ones). But this place is pretty consistent with the service and quality of food. But at times the food can get pretty greasy. If you are at all concerned about calories or weight check online about with to avoid.

Not bad! The starters are really awesome! Sweet shrimps and oysters are amazing. Oysters are so fresh with lemon juice and hot pepper sauce. The entree is very normal to eat, not very special. But I have to say, the dessert looks delicious and tastes good. The best part is the menu. Every dish has a picture. The server is also very nice!

upon arrival, we were quickly seated, but not with much of a greeting. We were given menus, and told our server would shortly be with us. about 10 minutes later our server came out, and took our drink orders. We had already figured what we wanted, so there was an extra wait that we could have done without. On return he took our app. and entree orders. I got the cheese bacon potatoe soup, and the steak and lobster oscar. The other diners were brought their salads, and I was informed my soup would be right out, that it wasnt ready just yet. About 5 minutes later, my soup arrived. Just after this, without having a chance to eat the soup, our entrees arrived. The server had me check to see if cooked properly, which is a act that is underapreciated normally. I figure, if you tell them yes with them standing there, it creates the lack of a problem later on, or atleast if it is wrong, finds out much quicker, before your meal is ruined. The steak was terrific, as was the lobster meat, and the shrimp was outstanding. The plate had a white wine reduction that was perfect for the dish. The server asked us how we would like the check, and brought it out letting us know there was no hurry, take care of it when you would like. Overall, the food was terrific, but the wait on service being that they were so slow was unjustified, and caused the awkward feeling of someone sitting at a table with two other people that are already eating and you are just staring. 3 stars.
