Can't say enough great things about our group's experience at Proof Brewery thanks to Bryan! He and his team are amazing as is the whole vibe at Proof. Such a fun spot inside and out. Thanks for helping to create a lasting memory for our family!

Sitting here now. Haven't gotten around to the cornhole, but it's set up and ready to go, and the rest of the patio is great for enjoying one of Proof's fine brews! Super chill brewery, and I don't say chill lightly. I'm here by myself and the bartenders are friendly and easy to talk to. Also, they play great music, according to my taste, which is a crucial component of any bar's atmosphere. Oh, and the beers are delicious too! I've been in TLH for a couple days, and this is the best watering hole here for sure! Trust me, I know these things.

First of all, you had me at beer, and I really enjoyed some samplings from the original location... But this Proof location has it doing on.... taking the warehouse brewery and adding just a few seemingly minor touches that make a very cool, and huge impact. Amazing outside seating, complete with astro turf and typical brewery (and fun) games, this is a super spot for grabbing an amazing local brew and enjoying some Florida weather. (And, if it's a little too hot for you, there is some canned air inside. And don't forget Fido, this place is pup friendly! Yay! I've had a few flights, and as an IPA girl, I can't get over the Guru, with it's boldness an hoppy finish. If you are a craft beer lover, support this local brewery and head on this way.

I was here for a private event in the brewery area, although we did experience the bar too. They were friendly to work with and set us up with corn hole in the brewing area. They charged us for an open bar, but only allowed us 4 beers while the bar offered far more at the same price. We asked about it and they said we would have to pay extra . . . should've asked more questions in the beginning. We were allowed to bring in a caterer as they do not have food. They do have an outdoor area with boche ball (league on Thurs nights), but it rained when we were there so no outside. The brew room area is plenty big for a group of about 40. It does get steamy, no a/c in the brew area . . . they do have a couple of fans, but make sure they leave the big roll doors open or you will bake. They offer tours too, but it is not much ... typical craft brewery. Nice to have in Tally and the bar area does carry other beers from around the state. If you are looking for a unique venue, give it a try. Enjoy!

I had one of those home beer making kits and thought I was really doing something until I tried a flight from Proof. When I got up the next morning (yes, 11:22am is technically still morning) the kit and all related paraphernalia went straight into the rubbish bin...... Why bother with the trouble and expense when all you have to do is pop into Proof for a pint or take a growler back to your place. The old saying the proof is in the pudding has officially been changed to the Proof is in the beer. Try one today and I think you will agree. This is Tallahassee's premier brewery so if you are local or just visiting make sure Proof is on your itinerary.

Love it. Awesome beer selection. Very cool vibe. Really like the open view into the brewery. Great place to enjoy some really good beer. The outside area is going to be awesome in the fall.

The first ever event for Tallahassee's CA Matt. He picked a newer brewery for this event. Now this place is cool even for a non drinker. The place is more then sweet. They have a bunch of big (6-10 tops) and a bunch of smaller one on the make believe grass back yard. They have a lot of string lights to make this a smooth drinking and game playing hag out. They had corn hole games some Lawn bowling, ping pong, and some stuff to. The bar area has a ton of beers on tap and you can look right into the spotless brew house. They even have a restaurant close by and a restaurant that will deliver. How cool in that. We drank a fair amount and enjoyed some of the fine cuisine of a local food truck Kubana. The food was great and the venue rocked. Hey Matt you pulled of a great event for your first one. Great job

This Proof location has an amazing outdoor space, which will be ideal in the Fall/Spring months. The beers are, as usual, delicious and served at the perfect temperature. I'm a fan of the Mango Whit beer, but I have heard that all Proof beers are tasty from my fellow Proof-goers. The inside is small and has few tables, but I think that this spaces serves more as only a place to get your beer, whereas the gathering should happen outside. My only gripe, for now, is the parking situation. Railroad square is a disaster for tires and parking in general, with most businesses posting "tow" signs even when closed. My suggestion is to carpool here!

We find ourselves in Tallahassee quite a bit because we have family here. So we were extremely glad to find out that this little town has its own craft brewery! We decided to visit this particular location because it seemed larger, and we were going the night before an important football. We anticipated a crowd, and boy, were we right! There is plenty of room at this location - especially outdoors - and it was still packed to the brim. They have lots of large tables inside and outside. There are even couches outside. For games, they have a ping pong table, bocce ball, and cornhole. The outdoor area is seriously super pretty. Beer-wise, we liked most of what they had available. None of them were insanely spectacular, but we did enjoy the Keep Sweet Wheat, Mango Wit, and Sweet Potato Wheat. We wanted to try a couple of their other beers, but unfortunately they weren't available. I look forward to being back in Tallahassee to check out their other location and bottle shop.

I really like this location for Proof! I love the Mango Whit beer, for one, as it is very crisp and has that mild mango flavor which makes it perfect for warm summer nights. Secondly, it has a great outdoor area with lots of different games such as bocci ball and ping pong which makes it a fun option for a low key night out with friends. The only thing I would alter is they could use a bit more music or turn it up a little louder. That's not usually something I would say, but I remember thinking the last time that music was missing. I would certainly recommend checking out Proof at Railroad Square!

The Proof Brewery and Tasting Room in Railroad Square is one of the must visit spots if you are in Tallahassee. The tasting room generally has between eight and ten of Proof's own beers on tap, and another ten or so from some of the best breweries in Florida. The room, patio and yard are very cool to hang out, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. The owner, Byron, is usually around, and you will not meet a nicer guy. You can actually see into the production brewery while you hang out in the tasting room. Also, their beer pretty much rules. My favorite is the Assassin Caterpillar Rye. So try one.

I've been to both Proof locations, and this one is my favorite. The one on Tennessee tends to be crowded and full of college kids. This one, in Railroad Square, has a lot more room--especially outside both in the covered patio area and in the fenced-in backyard with lawn chairs, tables and games. This location has a mix of ages, and on weekends some parents bring their kids and let them play in the yard. If you want a breather between drinks, you can walk around to all the little shops and sights on Railroad Square. Since this is where Proof Brewing Co does their brewing, you can watch the process from the tasting room while trying their various offerings. You can also purchase growlers and "crowlers". My only complaint is the seating, outside and inside, is limited; and, outside, if you're in the yard area, the lawn chairs are cheap and wobbly and the tables don't provide much traction for your beer glass (the yard is on something of a decline).

It looks like there are two Yelp pages for Proof, one for the bar on Tennessee Street and one for the taproom and brewery in Railroad Square. I'm going to write about both here, but the Railroad Square location is my favorite. I grew up in Tallahassee, but I've lived in Austin for the past five years. I've become totally spoiled to the incredible beer and food scene in ATX, and I always think of Tallahassee as somewhat of a culinary and brewing backwater. The first place to make me start changing my mind was Fermentation Lounge, but Proof does them one better with excellent house-made beers, a great selection of other Florida brews, and a beautiful taproom location with indoor AND outdoor seating. When I lived in Tallahassee, Railroad Square was dead at night unless it was a "First Friday." I was very excited to visit Proof to see how much life it could breathe into the area, and even on a Thursday night after FSU's term had ended, the answer was, "Plenty!" The place was pleasantly full. They card you and stamp your hand as you walk into the patio, so that you can come and go as you please. They don't serve food, but you're welcome to bring your own. The outdoor area has both a deck and a gravel yard, all with lovely, comfortable furniture, sunshades, candles, and heat lamps. There's plenty of seating and the atmosphere is excellent. Inside, there are high ceilings, spotless floors and bar, and windows behind the taps that give a view of the brewery itself. There wasn't a ton of indoor seating, but the outside wall of the taproom has large garage-style doors that I assume are opened during good weather. Bathrooms were spotless, bar staff were friendly and accommodating, and the beer selection included all of Proof's own offerings plus some great beers from Cigar City. My favorite beers were the Guru IPA and the Imperial Red; my mom likes the In Session Pale Ale and my dad loves the Ghost Totem Porter. I also tried and likes the Creatures in the Dark Stout. Some words about the pub and bottle shop on Tennessee Street: The bottle shop is great, with an impressive selection of beers from all over the world. The staff is helpful and prices are average. The pub, unlike its Railroad Square counterpart, leaves something to be desired. It feels a little "unfinished," and like it's trying to be a trendy, sexy bar instead of what it calls itself: a pub. The taproom is a much more chill and comfortable choice.

My favorite place to drink in Tallahassee. All their beer is DELICIOUS. Great service, good prices, awesome atmosphere. Due to parking and crowding, I like this location much better than the Tennessee Street one. Proof is certainly a Tallahassee gem.

First off, I must add that I am a certified beer geek and rate beer beer as a hobby on the world's greatest beer rating website: ratebeer.com - I am PorterPounder on there. That being said, Proof is my absolute favorite beer place in Tallahassee. They always have at least a half dozen of their own on tap - usually several regulars such as Guru IPA, In Session Pale Ale, Creatures in the Dark and Mango Wit and then a few "treatment" beers where they add a little something extra such as different fruits, coffee, etc. They also feature about a dozen taps from various breweries around Florida such as Wynwood, Pringlehead, Green Bench, Green Room, Cigar City to name a few. Service is exceptional and they and the owne Byron is often on hand to provide tours as is the head brewer Larry. A must stop if you have any interest whatsoever in excellent beer!

I have been waiting to get home and write a review about this place since the moment we first arrived to the establishment yesterday. They do it ALL right here. The outdoor space is great; plenty of seating, pristine turf (which they just installed we learned), covered and uncovered areas, games, and they are planning to put in a stage sometime in the future. The tasting room itself is very tastefully done; clean, plenty of seating, awesome decor, and they have done a fantastic job with branding without being annoying. I brought my husband (a home brewer) here for his birthday just to try their selections. While we enjoyed some more than others, they really didn't have a single one that disappointed. Our favorites where the equinox 8-5-0, creatures in the dark, ghost totem, shellalegh (sp?), guru...okay, we liked a lot of them. My absolute favorite was the goze (sp?) that the tap room manager let us have a taste of, which they weren't even currently serving on tap! That leads me to the highlight of our visit; the tap room manager Smitty (I apologize if I spelled that wrong too). The brewers at Proof did themselves a huge favor by hiring this guy to run the show. I asked if we could have a tour of the brewery (even though they don't officially do tours) since my husband has a passion for brewing, and I'm quite fascinated with the process myself. He very kindly obliged and gave us at least a 45 minute tour of the facility, talked to us about brewing in general and the craft beer scene in Tallahassee, and answered any and all of our questions. He was super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and just all around excellent at his job. We were both beyond impressed, even before he snuck us a sample of their goze which he had talked about as being one of the best after I told him we hadn't found a good sour since our time in Alaska. The brewery set up amazed me with its organization and cleanliness. We have done a few tours now around the country and this one was by far our favorite. Our favorite brewery in AK was at least a 6 hour drive, and we are so relieved that we only have to travel 1.5 hours from Valdosta for our favorite local beer now; which we will be doing often! Thanks for the experience guys and gals, keep it up, we will be back for sure!

Proof Brewing after brewing their own beer the last couple years at their original bar location on Tennessee Street ran out of space in their smallish area and recently opened up this full scale brewery/tasting room/beer garden in the hipstercentric Railroad Square Area of Tallahassee..People that have lived in Tallahassee for decades don't even realize this little area exists just south of Gaines and just north of FAMU....Believe me when I tell you, just trust your car's GPS because it's really back here..Proof Brewery is located toward the back in a warehouse type structure...from the outside it looks pretty plain, but on the inside they built a sparkling brewery with a really modern hip looking tasting room...from the tasting room massive glass windows give a great view into the brewery...in the tasting room they have 20 to 25 taps featuring mostly their beers(Mango Wit is a great choice for The Summer) ,but they also carry a nice choice of other Florida Craft Breweries like Cigar City..7th Sun..Funky Buddha..Swamphead..etc..all the beers are available in pints, but if you are indecisive or want to try more of a variety, they sell flights of four beers in smaller glasses as well..if you want to sit inside to drink your beers they have 2 large flat screens to watch whatever sporting event is on...if outside is more your style, they have a patio with tables to sit at and than a pretty big grass beer garden to stand in or you can play various drinking games like Cornhole...so far after my first two initial visits I have to say it's a great addition to the original Tennessee Street Location....it has a completely different type vibe....I know after they are open a little while longer they are going to start giving tours of the facility ...right now they are also in a kind of soft opening so their hours are kind of limited and they are only open on Friday..Saturday..and Sunday....a great place to come if you want to drink some great local Florida Craft Beers in a chill environment..5 stars all the way
