they've recently reopened under new management and it wasn't bad. I got the falafel pita with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, feta and black olives. The falafel tasted a little off like there was some overpowering spice in it. But the veggies were super fresh and the sauces (hummus and tzatziki) were really good. The place was very clean, the staff was nice and attentive, and the prices are good for the amount of food you get. There's also a HUGE selection of fillings. all in all, not the best greek-ish place in town, but not bad for late nights, delivery, or if you're in the neighborhood.

First timer and not unimpressed. The place was clean and the service was quick and friendly. Price value was excellent - really enough for a second meal. The variety of options was more than sufficient. Looks like it could become a good hangout for pre-FSU football games or a good place for late night munchies - open til 3 a.m., I think. Definitely a place my wife would like. I'll go back when on that side of town, for sure. And as far as the comparison to Subway, you gotta be kidding! Subway is not even in the same league. Please! (Do you get the feeling I'm not a big Subway guy, no matter what Jared says?) Cheers!

Nothing special, but in all ok. I can see why many people love this place to death. Wraps are pretty good and service has been always good. Caters to college students well as its open late and has a "beer pit" Good, but in my experience gets old fast. A once a every 2 months place, or if your really hungry late.

I don't see why this place is so popular, the food is far from spectacular. My pitas never seemed to have the freshest vegetables and always left a bad taste in my mouth. I think I'll save the sour lettuce eating for Subway.

Yikes-a-mighty! We've come here dozens of times and I'm just now reviewing this anchor of West Tennessee. Firstly, heed to the notice in the top left of the menu. That's right... Breakfast all day. (The addition of eggs effectively makes ANY of the menu items "breakfast all day" items - which will be my "tip"). For parents (and legal guardians in general), note the kids' club options. Turkey, Ham, Chicken, Hummus, Quesapita options - all served up in diminutive wrap portions. Quirky features of this joint are the ADA elevator upon entry. Not sure what this edifice was formerly, but it appears to have been a stage (current indoor dining area) with two long steps above the audience seating area (currently the cashier / kitchen galley / soda & tea fountains. Patrons can expect a well prepared pita when they come. We always do.

In my humble opinion...The best thing about this place is the falafel veggie option and tzatziki sauce availability. As it has been mentioned in previous reviews...this is a knock-off Subway but with the pita twist. I'm not complaining, it's just with the knock-off feel...I wish you would get similar prices. A veggie option for me is a Falafel Pita with a ton of veggies which runs at over $6 and if I'm feeling extremely affluent I will make it a meal. This 'meal' is just the addition of a bag of chips and a cup for soda and it brings up your total to close to/if not over $10. This is a bit pricey for a glorified sub. Granted, as mentioned above...they do have tzatziki sauce but I don't see how this justifies their higher prices for meal add-ons. Not a comfortable place to sit and eat as it is a weird set-up and the tables are always empty, which just looks sad and dumpy to me. Not a very welcoming vibe for a nice lunch. Been there 3x and only once have I received great service. The first two I got what seemed to be new employees so they were mostly focused on learning how to work the cashier then working with me to build my pita just how I wanted it.

I tried to eat here. There was only one employee there. He was taking orders and cooking too. I waited five minutes and he never even acknowledged me. The guy in front of me said he'd been there ten minutes. I went to Pitaria instead.

The setup is basically like Subway but with pitas. I was interested in something fresh and crunchy so I popped in. All in all it's okay. The romaine lettuce had a bitter taste that just put off the whole meal for me. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. The prices are good and the portions are large. Other than the lettuce, I couldn't find anything wrong with the place, but somehow I just didn't find anything all that right with it either. Anyone can have a bad day, and I will try the Pita Pit again.

Pita Pit is a serviceable option for fast food pita sandwiches with a "Greek" flare in West Tallahassee. First, as you approach the cash register to order and pay, you select the type of pita you want off the menu. Looks like a lot of American-friendly choices, but I chose the "Gyro" which ended up being a beef / lamb mix in small pre-cut strips. The set-up is an assembly line where you tell the Pita Artist what toppings you want on your pita. They have a pretty good selection, sort of like Subway. Spinach, lettuce, alfalfa, tomatoes, onions, and so forth. There are numerous sauces you can select for your pita as well. As always, I highly recommend you try tzatziki if you have never had it. Pita Pit's tzatziki was creamy and tasty and as good as most other pita/gyro restaurants I've visited. I found it rather novel that when our pitas were finished we were asked whether it was "For here or to go?" with the difference being that while take-out was wrapped like a sub, dine-in pitas have a piece of the same wrapping ripped away and suddenly you have a hand-held food. Still wish I could have gotten a plate of some sort, but like I said, it was kind of novel. Coca-Cola products to drink, with chips being the predominant side. You can also order pita fries, but they were several dollars and I didn't want to risk it. Finally, I see that Pita Pit has very extensive hours. That alone probably makes it worth a visit next time you are wanting some late-night "eats."

I LOVE Pita Pit. I wish I had heard of this place before and now need to be here all the time. It's my go to spot when I can't decide what I am hungry for. There are so many options and they are all so healthy. What is there not to love? My favorite Pita is the Chicken Slouvaki. I get it exactly how it is described on the menu, with tsatatski sauce, feta cheese, green peppers, romaine lettuce onions and of course, chicken on a wheat pita. Basically my favorite thing ever and it's only $7 dollars. The staff is really nice, they usually are pretty good about telling you what does inside of the pita's It is also usually pretty dead in there which I also like and so you can pretty much have a relaxed lunch/dinner/post workout meal. I foudn out about this place beause of my sister, an elite, shout out to Haronyd M. :) The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because for some reason this specific Pita Pit is marketing themselfs to after hours bar hoppers so that they can munch on food after partying all night, this made for a really unfortunate experience where I was verbally harrassed by a drunk girl. This is the only thing, so try not to go too late unless you are drunk. :)

Pita Pit is great. Everyone should try it especially if you are hungry at 2am! The pitas are about $6, you get fresh ingredients and lots of choices, the staff takes care in putting the pita together. I think its a really good value. It's been filling and delicious every time. We are from California and have a hard time finding Pita Pits where we live so we were really excited to find one in Tallahassee.

Since I moved by Pita Pit a year ago ive become a fan. I eat there maybe 4-5 times a week. Plenty of toppings and sauces to choose from. The breakfast pita with hashbrown, egg, bacon, and steak is AMAZING. The Gyro is also really good. I recommend adding Ancho Chipotle sauce to anything your order. Great staff. They are all extremely friendly. The place is always clean. Great place to stop for a quick bite.
