I love cheap chinese food normally, but this food was horrible.... Let me explain, I ordered it for delivery, they are only about 2 miles away from me and it still took over an hour to arrive... When it finally did the food was cold and expensive... Beef and broccoli should not be 15.50 if it is then it should not take an hour to arrive cold... I told the lady over the phone I would be paying with cash when the driver arrived, when he did I tried to pay with a 20 and his reply was "Oh, I don't have any dollars". What?! You don't have change?! Your a delivery driver! Your gonna need change, its kinda one of the key requirements of delivering food. Maybe If I was trying to pay with a hundred or something I could understand but not when it costs 15.50 and I'm paying with 20. Being stuck at home today, super hungry and not wanting to wait another 30 to 45 mins to eat I gave him the 20 and said don't worry about it....to this he looked shocked. I guess he needed the money more than I do, so merry Xmas ill-equipped delivery driver. Buy some new socks or some deodorant. If you order from here make sure you pick it up if able.

They have gotten their act together! Kudos to you New China. After an inconsistent last six months they have really become the best Chinese cuisine in the city...HANDS DOWN! Give them another try if you have doubts!

Back up goes their rating in my book! Recently I have ordered from them three more times. I have rarely had issues with their food. It's good, decent delivery chinese food. When you order something that is spicy, they actually cook it that way, NOT like one of my other attempts to find a replacement chinese restaurant that delivers that puts a little cup of chili oil on the side and leaves all the heat out so one can "add to taste" cooking 101 tells ya cooking WITH the seasoning results in a much different (and better) result than seasoning after the fact. Nor have I ever received food from New China that wasn't properly prepared. It seems the ONLY real complaint that I ever have had was their deliveries. prior to the last few orders their deliveries were abysmally slow. I am more than happy to report they seemed to have a much better handle on that now. All my latest orders have arrived in a reasonable amount of time, one was exceedingly fast, but that was on a mid-week afternoon, so they probably didn't have many orders ahead of mine. Regardless the reasons, they have their delivery system back on track. As a side note, on my last order, they were apparently out off all the items that goes in the pu pu platter. Rather than notifying me and allowing me any options, they just adjusted the quantities of what they did include in the appetizer. Half of it ended up not getting eaten. Five egg rolls for one or two people to share to start off the meal is just a bit much. Since my initial order, I have ordered multiple times from them. Generally I've been very pleased with both the quality of food and delivery. One delivery went very awry. I don't have a clue what happened with them, but after waiting nearly 1 1/2 hrs for the order to be delivered, I called and told them just to cancel out the order. I was told that it was out for delivery, and just accept the food at no charge. They were good to their word. The food did finally arrive and apparently they had contacted the driver to let them know to simply deliver the order and not charge me. Bad execution on the delivery, BIG props for keeping a customer happy. Since then I've order a couple more times and the orders and delivery time, though not the speediest, have been much more "in-line" with anticipated delivery times. The food is generally well prepared and delivered very warm and ready to devour. Why am I updating now? I'm getting ready to order again and saw that I've eaten their food for 1 1/2 years now and time to share more than my first experience. I never had issues with their delivery time prior to them going with the EAT24 ordering system. The message I received after placing the order said to expect the delivery between 45mins - 1 hr. So at 1:10 minutes I checked the status of my order. After two minutes, they came back and said "I contacted the restaurant and the delivery person is out with your order now." Okay. I live 6 minutes from the restaurant. 15 minutes after calling, the knock came at the door. I don't know if the issue is with EAT24, the restaurant not able to keep a delivery person busy, so the staff delivers or what. Maybe just "unrealistic" delivery times? (though 1 1/2 hrs seem to be a bit lengthy to cook and deliver an order less than 10 minutes away) I guess I'm through. I tipped the driver. Guess it's time to go back to my first Chinese Restaurant from here on out. Quite a shame, as I liked their food. Sorry New China. I'll miss ya. So I would have to rate New China: FOOD, 4 stars! delivery service: 0 stars. I've only spent a couple hundred dollars with them over the year and a half I have ordered from them, so they probably won't miss me.

I'm a huge sucker for Chinese food. It's pretty much comfort food for me - I can be having the worst day in the world, but if you give me an order of crab rangoon and some sesame chicken, my whole outlook just brightens up. So, when I find a place that serves a good meal, I stick with it, well, like white on rice. New China is one of those establishments where there's basically just a couple of tiny tables, a counter for ordering and payment, and a kitchen. You can eat in if you'd like to, but most of their business is carry-out or delivery. Since this is their focus, service is generally pretty fast. If you're ordering lunch, it'll be 15-20 minutes if you're willing to pick it up, perhaps 30-45 if you want to wait on delivery. Evening times might get extended a little bit if they have a rush, but they'll almost certainly be there faster than your local pizza joint. The food is pretty standard, but the prices are inexpensive enough that I really can't find anything to complain about. Seeing as I'm a graduate student, tasty, cheap, and plentiful are generally the three biggest factors on my list. With respect to each of these, I can safely say that I've never had a bad meal come from New China, and I can easily spend under $6 (lunch) or between $10-15 (dinner). And if you plan it right, a dinner that includes just about everything you could want (soup, eggroll/appetizer, entree, and rice - usually the $15 end of the range) can easily last for between two and three meals, if not longer. (Protip: The key here is ordering an extra quart of white rice - you spend another $2 and end up with more food than you know what to do with.) With most of the other Chinese restaurants in this town, it can be hard to order that much food and get away (with delivery charges and tip) without spending $30 - I know; I've tried. At New China, I usually spend half that amount for food that is just as good and is ready a lot faster. In my book, if you live on the right side of town for it, New China can't be beat.

No idea about the actual restaurant but delivery was pretty great! Was staying at a local hotel and always enjoy trying Chinese food in the different areas I go. Not as impressive as other Chinese food I've had (I promise Virginia beach, VA has the BEST) but it's normal Chinese food. We ordered General Tso Chicken at a "medium" spicy level, and Hunan beef at "very spicy." Both came with fried rice, and a choice of either egg roll, wonton soup, or egg drop soup for the price of $8 something (for dinner which is great). The general tso was pretty good but "medium" still isn't spicy enough. Hunan beef was good and just spicy enough. Ordered Crab Rangoon which was about average compared to other places. My biggest tip is to STAY AWAY FROM THE EGG DROP SOUP!!!! Don't do it, it was terrible. Delivery was super quick...they said it would be 45 minutes but it was here in 20. Use eat24hours.com if you don't want to talk on the phone!

I found three staples in my food. If that's not bad enough for you it took over an hour for it to deliver. Didn't taste too great even before the staples.

Ordered food a little later on a weeknight and it took over an hour to get it (when they had told me thirty minutes.) But it was worth the wait. Chicken chow mein was LEGIT.

Generally, Chinese food around here is usually disappointing. New China deserves 5 stars because 1. I ordered "chicken with broccoli and black bean sauce" and was pleased to have plenty of fresh tasty broccoli and fresh tender chicken. 2. the singapore noodles are loaded with shrimp, pork, chicken, and has veggies and flavorful curry. 3. The lady at the front totally asked me how I've been, and remarked that I haven't been there lately!!! Seriously, these days, who notices anymore? They do. Plus, they're always busy so the food is fresh.

The food is very delicious! Almost I pick up a meal there every two days. In addition, the restaurant is pretty clean, sometimes I just eat there enjoying the sweat smile of the owner.

The New China used to be good , now they are the new New China, and the food is suffering. New management, new cooks, different stuff, not at all the New China that I liked before. Rude management seem to belittle the staff. Egg rolls are nasty, chicken is mushy, soups are like Jello when refrigerated. I choose not to go there anymore. The New China that I remember used to have Pamela Anderschong Lee working the register....those were the days.

This is my official spot in Tally until I find better for Chinese. I've better but that's only because nothing compares to Chinese in downtown Toronto and late night college town Chinese in NJ from yummy yummy. With that being said my food usually arrives in less than 40 minutes with my grub hub order and it is reasonably priced[I'm cheap]. I'll give them a solid 4 stars because I've never been to the location only ordered delivery.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
