Hands down the worst Longhorn experience ever. Food was mediocre at best. Ice machine was broken so ice was limited. Upon first entering the restaurant it smelled dingy and did not look very appealing. The only bright side was our server. Ms. Willie Mae was extremely courteous and did her best considering she was taking care of a large party as well. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Upon entering, I walked up to the hostess to request a table. She offered no greeting, just stared at me in anticipation for me to talk. I requested a table and she still didn't say anything. Then someone else came by, she handed the menus to him and said 'He'll seat you. It's a booth'. It was an odd exchange. Our server was friendly and helpful, offering us advice about the toll roads here in FL. The food was delicious. My salad had a little too much dressing on it, and the server offered to make me another one. Overall good experience, pretty standard for a Darden restaurant. Not my first choice when dining out, but we left full and our taste buds were happy.

I've been to this Longhorn more than 4 times, and every time I've gone I've been satisfied. I wasn't pleased with one server, he wasn't very attentive. The food is always delicious. I tried the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer and I fell in love with it. I love fried green tomatoes but I didn't expect for them to be so delicious, and the sauce was amazing. Great service and nice people.

We were so disappointed in our visit which is totally out of the norm for this location. Upon arrival the hostess told us there was a 25-30 min. wait; however, he never took our name nor gave us a pager. We waited at the bar for our table and had to wipe the bar clean from food ourselves just to sit down. It took the bartender at least 10 mins. to offer us a drink. During this time we watched the bartender pour a drink for another customer and was shaking so bad you would have thought she was an alcoholic who hadn't had a drink all day. When we finally got to our booth table we both had to sit on one side because one of the seats was so badly torn. Then our waitress brought us refills for our tea but brought lemons in the tea which we never asked for. The glass that my tea was brought in looked like it was grabbed out of a dirty stack of glasses and had food all over the outside of it. I had to send it back for a clean one. The raspberry vinaigrette had so much black pepper, it was almost inedible. I ordered the prime rib and it was so bland and barely room temperature I had to send it back also. Then I ordered the filet in its place and it took 22 minutes to get it. The bathrooms were no better, tissue all over the floor, water left running in the sink. It was just a disaster...Sad to say but I doubt we return there for quite some time.

The bake d potato wasn't hot enough to melt the butter. They did make an effort to correct on the third potato that was hot

The food is great and the parking sucks. Everything I've tried has always been good.

Not having many steakhouses to choose from we came here as we really wanted steak for dinner. This chain has always been consistent and good food for me. This particular location is very old, well it seems to be. We got sat at a booth right away and I was having a very hard time enjoying my visit due to the moldy smell. I am sensitive to mold. We started with white cheddar stuffed mushrooms, my daughter's favorite, and yes they were excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She knew the menu well and was great speaking about the specials and up sells. We all ordered steak and crab meat as an extra for hubby. Our steaks came out in ample time. All of our steaks were cooked to a medium rare. The steaks were good, juicy and tender moist. Baked potato was good. The food as usual was good especially for what you pay. Service good, food average to good, but oh man that moldy smell really put a bad taste of returning anytime soon. Remodel, refresh, clean and maybe then it will gain me back.

Good service, good food... Medium filet was more like medium-well. Note to self: next time order it medium-rare.

Meh its a steak house. I'd prefer buying meat from a super market and putting it on a BBQ at my house.

The food here is great. I tend to stay away from steakhouses because of the atmosphere and lack of variety, but Longhorn caters to a white collar crowd and has enough chicken and seafood on the menu for my tastes. Their prices are better than you would expect. The lobster chowder is great, their stuffed mushrooms are too salty, and sometimes their entrees are too salty but other times they're perfect. Their ribeye tastes exactly like what you'd imagine your perfect steak to be, and their lobster is so soft and moist, it's the best I've had in town. The tea is too strong for me. Service during peak times is horrible and slow. We've had to get our meal to go as soon as it's served sometimes, and once we got up and left before we were even offered drinks, but the servers are always friendly and gracious when they do get to you.

Longhorn, like Olive Garden and Red Lobster, is owned by the same company. What amazes me is how busy this place is on a Friday or Saturday night. Good luck getting a table in under 45 minutes. We opted for a Monday evening, thinking we'd have no problem getting seated right away, and we were correct. This restaurant is arranged for maximum profit, as tables are too close together, and you quite literally sit on top of other diners. As an example, when we tried to get seated at our table, we had to plaster ourselves against someone else's booth or table to make room for a table of diners that were leaving. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and extremely unprofessional of the staff to try and seat us that way. After that we had to ask our server for utensils to butter our bread. The bread was cold by the time the server came by. Service was rather slow, and because this place is so busy you are merely treated like a number. Longhorn can't be blamed for raising their prices to the point where a decent steak is $20 or more. I mean, when you are at max capacity most of the time, you'd be a fool NOT to raise your prices. The food was ok, but honestly, I prefer to get my own cut of meat from the meat counter at the grocery store and cook it myself at home. It will taste better, and I won't have to feel like I am just a number in a very large corporation's bottom line. The corporate feeling trickles down to all level of staff, as the servers are slow, and don't bring anything above average to the table. If anything, I left feeling like I had eaten another meaningless overpriced national chain's bland excuse for steak and a meal. My mother-in-law did say that her green beans were raw. You can fight the crowd here if you like. Go ahead and take my table.

To-go order was incorrect. Manager told me to come back or he would send me a coupon, but could not issue partial refund. I am in town on business, so neither option could rectify situation. I wonder if their primary source of income is stealing customers' money.

My girlfriend called and spoke to the manager this morning and he asked that we give them a chance to make it up to us for yesterday's poor experience. So I did and the truly shined tonight. I am looking forward to the next time we go and hope that they maintain the level of service we got tonight.

One of the best steakhouses in town. Even though they're always busy on the weekends, the food and service is great. The bar is also a great stopping point while you wait on your table. We've never been disappointed.

Im not really sure what has changed at this location recently, however the food and service has drastically changed for the worse. It has gone from being my friends and I's favorite weekly lunch spot to not even wanting to return. We always order 2 appetizers and a lunch special each, and come weekly or every other week. The last 3 visits have resulted in cold appetizers, delay in service, empty drinks, soggy bread, hair in water glass, dirty lemon rind floating in glass when we asked for no lemon, rude wait staff. We spend alot of money on just a lunch because we loved the restaurant, but now we definitely will be spending it else where. Really dissatisfied with the service and quality. Hope you can get it turned around and not lose more business.

Do not make reservations and expect this restaurant to keep their word. I made reservations for 9 people. I called one hour ahead (like the manager told me to do) to make sure the table would be ready at 2pm. I was told by another manager a party of 20 just came in and basically a party of 20 peoples' business is more important than a party of 9. I will never eat at another Longhorn again!

The food was good. The Service was exceptional. Ganine was so great, despite the fact that the restaurant was PACKED.

Note: I am a vegetarian but enjoy going to steakhouses because there are usually great salads and sides that I can make a delicious meal out of! I came with a party of 3 and we were served some warm grainy bread with butter (mmm) while we looked over our menus. I decided to deviate from my usual salad/side combo and ordered a burger without the meat. What I got was just wonderful-- a warm brioche bun filled with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, swiss cheese, and mustard. And, don't forget a side of fries! The waitress didn't act like my order was strange at all, and the kitchen was generous with my veggies. Overall, it was a great lunch! I just wish that there was a veggie sandwich on the menu because I paid full-price (9.75) even though I didn't get the hamburger patty on my sandwich.

In the interest of full disclosure, I was sorely disappointed that Longhorn dropped the liver & onions from the menu. That said... My family decided to allow me to violate my diet and eat a heaping pile of red meat. Long a fan of Longhorn, that was my immediate choice. Thursday evening (Feb 11th) at 6 o'clock and the restaurant was nearly full, surely a good omen. My usual choice at Longhorn is chicken, some of the best in Tallahassee in my opinion. But as I had permission to forgo the usual bird, I opted for the 18 oz. sirloin, done on the cold side of medium rare. Outstanding! Served grill hot and perfectly done with a properly seared exterior, this steak was extremely well done. This Longhorn signature item was also the choice of my sister and her beau, and they were equally happy with their steaks. My wife and one son chose their perennial favorite, ribs. Longhorn does a bang up job with their ribs, and these proved no exception. Fall off the bone tender and served with sauce on the side, there were few leftovers on either plate. Number 2 son went for the 7 oz. Flo's filet, the steak he's enjoyed for years. Again, Longhorn scored a big hit. Perfectly done, he consumed every, bite and in near record time, too. Congrats to the cook staff! However, standing above the food quality was our server, Anna Bean. Wonderfully attentive without being intrusive, she made the meal a pleasure. This is only the second dining experience I've chronicled to not include servers that regularly addressed us as "you guys" and repeatedly said "no problem", both huge pet peeves of mine. Drinks were kept refreshed, dishes promptly cleared -- everything seemed to be right on the money. Top notch service, here, and unusual given this is a chain operation. Will I return? Absolutely, and the sooner the better!

Ten tops only for father's day is the most ridiculous thing I have ever hard!!!. I am a kitchen manager at one of the busiest restaurant in town and we would never put a cap on the amount of guest in a party. Never again this place is 86 in my book for not stepping up to the challenge

This is a traditional chain restaurant. To expensive and the steaks just are not worth the price that you are paying. I definetly would not recommend.this restaurant.

It's pretty much what you'd expect from a chain steakhouse. Not too bad, but nothing great, either. I usually go for the Flo's Filet, which is pricier but higher quality than some of their other cuts. Their bread is always a nice accompaniment to any meal. However, the thing that bugs me about this location is its smell. It's like the carpets or the upholestery on the booths need to be replaced or something, because the smell that hangs in the air as soon as you step foot inside isn't pleasant. Fortunately, as soon as your food arrives the yummy smell of bread and steaks and whatnot becomes most noticeable, which is a relief.

Steaks are great but Sweet Ice tea tastes like brown water. Asked waitress for replacement and she brought some just as bad as the first glass. Does anyone at Longhorns taste test the tea? Obviously not. Waitress did say they just switched the way they make tea.NO EXCUSE. Our party of 5 had a disappointing experience and no manager came by. This was about 3pm on Saturday June 27, 2015. Looks like I'm going to the competition next time.
