Didn't know what to think when I walked in since it looked like a repurposed thrift store. Set up of the seating area was clustered with an array of different chairs that gives it a homey look. Seasonal and locally sourced food with daily specials, it is not your mama's cooking but it is pretty good. They take some classics and add a little twist and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Had a Greek salad ( unassuming plain lettuce/tomato/feta/olives mix with what I presume to be homemade vinaigrette) and it was not overpowering like a lot of Greek salads have a tendency to be. This was good since I added Lemon Chicken, small portion, but very nicely flavored. Service was great but ambiance was a little off. Couldn't shake off the cafeteria feel to it? They are trying though with small touches here or there. Will definitely go back to try them again when they are a little more settled.

I had high hopes for Indigo Bistro. Several friends had recommended it. With my friend Alan in town for a brief visit, I was looking for someplace different that might offer some interesting vegetarian options for my guest. We were quickly seated after entering the restaurant. Alan determined that were plentiful non meat options on the menu. He opted for a quinoa salad with tofu and a slice of the daily quiche special. I opted for the quiche and salad special. We liked the olive loaf that accompanied our entrees. The rest of the meal was average and would not warrant a return visit. The German roach crawling on the wall next to our table added an unappetizing element to our dining experience.

Interesting restaurant serving wholesome dishes. Quaint decor. Ordered the quiche/salad/dessert deal. Very nice - ham/cheese quiche (a bit less congealed than I like, but tasty), salad w raspberry vinaigrette sauce, lemon tart. Wife had same but with artichoke/asparagus quiche instead. Outside seating is good, with four tables (two left, two right) at the entrance. The raspberry lemonade was stellar. I suspect it was made-in-house. This restaurant is focused on providing the good stuff to the clientele. Organic is the order of the day. I'll be back - we enjoyed it! (One bothersome fact, which this restaurant has no control over) is that there is no left turn into the parking lot. A rather inconvenient entryway when you're coming from Thomasville road. The optimal access point is a right-hand turn into the parking lot. Oh, and that's another thing: it's discouraged to exit the parking lot from how you came. The schtick is that you're to drive counterclockwise until you reach the appropriate exit. Silly...

Food is fantastic but ambiance is average. You feel out of place if you don't have gray hair. I'll be back for the chicken salad but I might take it to go.

Indigo is a great find tucked away off Raymond Diehl. I've been here for brunch twice and highly recommend it! They offer soups and salads for lunch but their real prize is their brunch- I just wish they had more options on their menu and that they opened earlier on the weekends! The food here is delicious and local and wonderfully prepared. Great addition to the tally local food scene!
