Great local atmosphere, awesome service at the bar and the food is really good through the entire menu. The pool tables could be better so it's not a "let's go shoot pool" place. Overall a very cool spot!

Great bar atmosphere - right out of an 80's movie (sans protective band-cage). Pool tables moved aside when live acts entertain. Generous pours and reasonably priced cocktails. Bartender certainly knew his drinks and wasn't stumped by a single order - and we dropped some obscure orders over the evening. As with virtually all TLH bars ('cept Leon pub), smoking is prohibited indoors. Bonus features are that it's located above two good restaurants ( Italian (Leaning Tower) AND Peruvian (Turnover Cafe)).

This is redic! The food is good, the bar is good and drinks are priced right. WHERE ARE THE SERVERS???? I now dread going here, because if u do order food it will just sit at the bar until u personally go up and ask for it. Who wants a cold hamburger and fries? Its literally a joke when we go here about when the beer will come. Next week? The week after? It's sad because I used to love this place and was hoping management would step in and solve these problems.

Recently expanded, Corner Pocket has definitely been one of my staples in going out in Tallahassee. There aren't many places that offer shuffleboard, darts, pool, and poker (real, no video), and, on top of all that, the inside is non-smoking! The non-smoking point is a big one around here where many bars quickly get to the point where you don't need "beer goggles" because the person next to you is already obscured by a prominent smoke-screen. There IS an ample "patio" area for all the smokers to hang out, so if you partake you will not be excluded. Another great thing about Corner Pocket is that it is not close to campus and thus does not get overrun by all the little undergrads. It is mostly locals (and thus a little older crowd) and always and interesting mix of characters. Especially with the new expansion, Corner Pocket will remain one of my main night time hangouts.

The food was ok (I got wings). There were a lot of tvs but all but one were pretty small. Being smoke-free was definitely a plus for me. There were about 5 pool tables, a foosball table, and about 6 dart boards. I had a good time.

I changed my review of this bar because its gotten much better the last few times I have gone. Pool, darts, poker nights, trivia nights. Cheap beers in huge mugs, and the shots come in what seems to be a 3in1 shot glass. You definitely get your moneys worth. The food is decent overall.. Make sure to try the wings though.

Sorry for inserting a little sanity into the reviews for this place. It's a typical dive bar. Wings, beer, etc. They have darts, and pool, some decent beers on tap and typical bar food. The prices are quite good, which is why I would give it 2.5 stars.

I hate that I've spent a few football seasons at CJ's being miserable, having just recently visited Corner Pocket for the first time since the expansion. I go on Sundays to watch NFL games, and have found it to be great. They have a large number of flat screen TVs and they plan out which games will be where; Fish never hesitates to ask what game you're looking for when you walk in and directs you to the TV you're looking for. The food is the average bar food menu, but the prices are great and the food is actually quite good. I'm a big fan of the appetizer sampler platter as well as their burgers. The service is a bit hit or miss. . .just depends on who is working as far as I can tell so far. But with the TVs always having my game on with the sound and the food and prices being reasonable, I'm a regular for football now!

So I was in Tallahassee for a day on business. I stumbled upon this joint as it was within walking distance of my hotel and I was on the lookout for a place to grab a few drinks and a bite. So, the reviews are a little all over. Here is my takeaway. This hole is a solid 3 stars, no more, no less. A few different beers on the tap. They had $5 pitchers so I had one of those. Burger was decent. Staff was friendly and attentive. This place looks to be packed with regulars. From what I can tell, all the staff knew most of the patrons by name and vice versa. Music was loud and all over the map. Some small TV's were placed throughout showing a variety of things from the news to the baseball game. Pool tables, steel tipped darts and multiple boards, poker table add a little something to do in this place.

One of the best bars in Tallahassee! My roommate and I are regulars of the establishment and we always leave happy! Servers know us by name, food is generally awesome, their new happy hour is great, always have new events throughout the month! This bar is our "Cheers" and we can't say enough good things about it :) Wings are top notch! And curly fries!!

As the name may suggest, this is a dive bar complete with several pool tables, dart boards, and massive TVs showing pretty much any game known to man. It's exactly as you'd imagine it, a bit seedy, no frills, but just want you want for a chill night with friends. We ended up here after two nights of very heavy drinking, just trying to relax and have a beer. The bouncer ID'ed us at the door (I still can't get used to that in the US despite living there for 10 years) and put some bracelets on us. Apparently a number of underage kids go there as the bartender interrogated me when i ordered a pitcher of beer ($8.50 for a massive pitcher of Yuengling - about 4-5 pints) and 3 glasses - he wanted to know who the glasses were for and almost didn't let me leave with it. After that, you are pretty much left to your own devices although I would recommend bringing a few whiteboard markers if you want to play darts. The markers they have are terrible and most regulars bring their own. Overall, it's cheap and cheerful with plenty of space for groups, so not a bad idea all around. Now if only they had shuffleboard...

STAY AWAY!!!! went there yesterday, had a weird feeling when they took our debit card to "hold" while we ate. Meanwhile, our debit card number was STOLEN and all kinds of fraudulent charges. Seriously, do not give this place your business, stay away.

Piss poor service...servers with really bad attitudes...and a extra charge on my account... I definitely don't recommend this place to anyone...and I hope management takes a look at these reviews

I'd been here a few times before but will NOT be back. The service was TERRIBLE. The food and atmosphere were decent but the employees just had bad attitudes and did not make us feel welcome. My girlfriend was also overcharged and our server begrudgingly had it corrected. After reading the reviews I'm also glad I didn't use my debit card. This place needs help.

Went here Friday with some friends and again on Saturday to watch the FSU football game and had a great time at Corner Pocket! The Happy Hour specials were very good on Friday. I really like this place because the crowd is older so you don't have to deal with college students and the like. The food is actually pretty good for bar food compared to many other bars in Tallahassee. The wings were very good and so were the fried pickles. I've heard that the burgers and sandwiches are all excellent as well from friends. I also got to meet the owner, Bill. He is a very nice guy and will take the time out to sit with you and ask how you are doing. On Saturday, I watched him accommodate everyone in the bar (including Hurricane and Bama fans) to get their games on a TV in the bar so they could watch the game even while the FSU game was going on. That alone makes this place worth it. I will definitely be back when I'm in Tallahassee again.

I highly recommend that nobody go into this place. I went in for a beer and dinner, spent 18 dollars but went on my bank account a few days later and was charged 42!!! After calling 5 times management doesn't seem to care. I have basically been ignored. This was fraud!!!!!! If you go pay cash or the server may steal from you as well

It's not a bad place at all. Friendly, down to earth, Ok food but ever since my girl Stephanie left hasn't been the same at all.
