These are a few of my favorite things, Brooklyn and Pizza. When you combine the two, enlightenment may be achieved. There's a certain authenticity and more importantly, a specific taste that comes to mind when you think of a slice from the City That Never Sleeps. In Tallahassee, we have Brooklyn Pizza. And it's a damn fine slice of pie. Chewy, dense, and a crisp crust make for an above average pizza. The Supreme is loaded with meats and veggies and the flavor profiles pair well together. Of course an extra sprinkle of Parmesan and red pepper flakes don't hurt, either. The garlic knots are garlicky and this guy ain't complaining. Not the best knots in town, but still decent. Garlic, cheese and bread. Don't expect much else. Honestly, what else do you really need, though? Brooklyn Pizza has outstanding lunch specials. $6 (tax included) for 10 different options. Truly, a steal. The store is usually quiet - I've never encountered a rush. However, they're open late. Until 3 am! Now, I'm no genius but instead of ringing the bell for a taco (wink) during those late night hours, call up the great, local pizza joint on Pensacola Street. You'll be glad you did.

Good Pizza - no frills menu - self serve soft-drinks AND iced tea. The "sell" here is the value. The lunch special is a winner (six bucks). If you want pizza - and you're close-by, then by all means come. It's worth passing every corporate pizza to buy it.

There's many reasons why this place impressed me. First let's just talk about the fact that they are open until 3am! Wow. I mean, I realize its a college town, but I was still pleasantly surprised. The pizza...very good. Very very good. Small and dimly lit, a good place to grab a bite to eat after drinking or even to catch a bite with friends. Wasn't too hard to find. Great service. The girl who helped us was super nice. Not a lot of parking or seating though. But what's better than a pizza place that stays open until 3am...that actually makes crazy good pizza!?

This pizza stux. Fukn Albanian crap. Not real. Pizza sauce base comes from a can. The pizza dough is old. The toppings are not of quality. Stay away.....

I love this place! I have been ordering pizza from them for the past 10 years! So delicious!

Went to this place right after the Florida football game and managed to beat the crowd. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. It can get crowded here and parking is not good when busy. Great spot to come and eat after the game.

Best pizza in Tallahassee! Love the spinach and feta pizza. I love how thin the crust is. They have really great specials everyday.

I've come here many times over the years. If you're looking for good NY style pizza, this is the best you'll get in Tallahassee. And, you can always get it by the slice here. Prices & quality are good. Why bother with the generic chains - just go to Brooklyn.

It is with a heavy heart that I am giving Brooklyn a bad review. I am a Tallahassee local at my roots; I LOVED Brooklyn. Key word- loved. I have returned home after a four month hiatus. My main issue is that THE PIZZA IS DIFFERENT. Half the cheese, half the pepperoni, and HALF THE FLAVOR. My heart is broken. To compound a bad experience both of the employees working this evening were rude to me. The male on the phone made a snarkey comment when I asked what the deal of the day was and the had me repeat my order of a pepperoni pizza TWICE. The snobby girl behind the counter was so unfriendly and didn't even say thank you or have a nice day. I will be dreaming of Decent Pizza when I am away from now on. :-(

Probably the best pizza I have had since I moved to Tallahassee. If you are a fan of crispy, thin crust pizza, this is the only place I have found in town that does it. I didn't eat in, so I can't comment on the service. The place was clean and the inside looked friendly. My only issue is that the toppings and cheese were a little thin. The mozzarella had good flavor and was good quality unlike the Elmer's Glue cheese food I have experienced at other places in town. I would have liked a bit more on the pizza, but I will rectify that by ordering extra cheese the next time. All in all I like it.

Decent pizza by the slice. Always a little off when it's reheated w added veggies. Basically put luke warm spinach and mushrooms on my reheated slice. Will come back and try a bagel though. But hey, I guess pizza is never really bad. This was just medium.

Pretty OK Pizza. A bit off the mark for NY Pizza though. Was actually a bit too thin. Crust felt like it had been sitting around for awhile, maybe from lunch 7 hours before hand. Cheese was kind of lacking on it, too thin to support any sauce. The flavor of it was good though, I'll give it that, but the consistency was off. Would give it a 3 given the fact it is in Tallahassee which has a lot of pizza places but a shortage of good pizza, if this was up north would be a 2. The sausage was authentic and sliced appropriately long ways. I used to live in Chicago and my gf is from NYC.

Coming from South Florida (and having family from New York/New Jersey), I was happy to find out that Brooklyn Pizza has roots where the best pizza can be found. As to why they are in Tallahassee, who knows? But who cares?! They have awesome pizza, with the perfect ratio of dough to sauce to cheese. The only thing I wish they did was put more toppings on their pies, but they use quality toppings, so I understand why it isn't done. Still 5 stars in my book. And the calzones are HUGE. Don't overlook them.

Brooklyn's best selling point is it's lunch prices - they have ten lunch options for six bucks (including drink). Their wings and mozzarella sticks are both pretty good, but the pizza is a a little light on sauce and has a sweetness to it that I'm not a fan of. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. It's close to where I work, so I'd definitely do it again for lunch, but if I had the choice I'd much rather head to Decent, Milano's, or Leaning Tower.

It's been a very long time since I've ordered a home-delivered pizza...it's been a long time since I've had a pizza that I didn't make...so, very excited tonight to ORDER IN!! Brooklyn Pizza...great reviews, etc., and there we went. I know the snafue about the delivery (1 1/2 hrs.) could happen to any delivery business, so, no problem...we totally understand. However, what we DON'T understand is the undercooked crust, the lack of cheese and lack of sauce and the total blah-ness of the pizza that was finally delivered to us. No more a "Brooklyn-style" pizza than I am Angelina Jolie...Is this just a Florida thing or what? Does anyone here know what PIZZA means? In any case, a complete disappointment.

5 stars based on my experiences, which basiclally consists of eating in and mainly during lunch time. Their lunch specials are awesome and you definitely get a bang for your buck. Always fresh and delicious, couple of times I ordered delivery was to a near by location so the pizza and side items were still fresh and did not disappoint.

This is the best pizza in Tallahassee. Very thin crust, NY Style. The sauce is mild and delicious and the topping are vast and great.

Best pizza I've had in Tallahassee. Brooklyn sells by the slice or you can get a whole pie, either way, everything is good. The garlic rolls are good but not the ~best~ I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend this place!

The kind of atmosphere you usually have to go to a lunch truck to find, but the pizza is fantastic.

Not the most amazing pizza in the world, but it's great for Tally. They have an everyday special for a 1-topping LG pizza that's costs around $8-9.. I forget. Haven't really had anything from there except for the pizza, but if you are feeling lazy and want some good delivery - give Brooklyn a call

Certainly not the best pizza I've ever had, but definitely my favorite pizza in Tallahassee. New York style pizza for a bargain price ($9.99 for an 18-inch, one-topping) is always good. Definitely worth a visit or ten.

This pizza is great! Nice new York style pizza...with taste to match. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 star is because they can have unnessacarily long wait times and horrendous customer service. I would recommended you call your order in first before going.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
