Save your money and drive to a different place... Service was horrible and the sushi was the sloppiest rolls I have ever had... Not worth the slow service with so many better choices in the area.

we ate here to kill time while at the mall waiting for our flight back home. Not realizing it was outside of the mall, it was a bit of a hike. At any rate, the food was delicious. We were starving and ordered more than we probably should have but the food was so good we didn't mind stuffing ourselves. The sushi was fresh and the presentation was actually impressive.

Still the best place in Ft. Lauderdale to get sushi. Just make sure you order take-out. The wait service is horrendous.

Great decor. Wait was a bit long for food. And what's more is that I didn't like the food... It's my fault that I ordered wrong stuff :( was hoping for noodle soup but didn't realize i ordered some fried noodles instead. But even then it was bad pan-fried noodles... I will probably still come here and order something else next time, if im in the region. Once again the decor was cute.

Great food, much better for carry out than dining in.

Yelped this place after leaving Sawgrass Mall. My niece and I ordered Tuna Tartare which was fantastic! I had a Volcano roll. It was okay but I didn't like the fact that the mixture on top was baked so the sushi is served cold with something piping hot on top which was strange to my senses. My niece had the Rainbow roll which was nice. The seaweed in both rolls seemed extra chewy though. I guess the thing I enjoyed the most was the Tartare! The location is nice and staff was very polite and knowledgeable on menu items. I paid $31 for an appetizer, 2 rolls, and 2 soft drinks. I thought it was kind of expensive as I typically pay $5-6 for a roll near my home, this place averaged $9-13 for a roll. There are also hot choices on the menu like fried rice and teriyaki chicken. This place was okay but nothing truly stood out or makes me dream of going back again.

A little run down (but hey that makes it more authentic Asian), and the semi-private booths make for quite a romantic evening. Service was good. The food was great overall, but a long hair in the tempura banana was off putting. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress the dish was replaced with ice-cream !!! Bizarre. No refund of the banana dish was offered!

Meh. Mostly fake crab and way too much rice. Actual sushi was thin and not particularly good. Pretty much food court standards. Service, despite there only being 3 tables in the place is slow and somewhat surly ...

Cool little place, liked it a lot! Nice private booths if you're on a date. Awesome Fried cheesecake!!!

Worst Sushi I've ever had! Not fresh! When I asked to order something else the owner came and scolded me saying I must not know sushi. His sushi is fresh, its everyone else's I'm comparing him to that is not fresh. He was so arrogant he left the sushi we sent back on the bill. Never again!

I am from the New York area so one of the things that was drastically different when I moved here was the sushi! This place actually customized a roll for me just how I like it! Every other sushi place I had been to couldn't do that (or they weren't willing). I haven't tried too many things on the menu other than the roll I know they'll make for me, but my friend tried the crazy tuna roll and loved it.

Came here for a business lunch on a Monday. There were five of us and we were greeted and sat immediately. The place was pretty empty for lunch time. On a side note, why would people who don't like sushi agree to go to "SUSHI INN"!! I digress. I was the only one who actually ordered sushi. The rest of the group ordered fried rice or stir fry which they said was good. I decided to order the most unique special roll they had "The Happiness Roll". This was shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, inside out, and topped with seared beef. It wasn't bad and it wasn't amazing either. It left me underwhelmed at $12.99. Overall, this is a typical strip mall sushi place with dated décor. They did have some private booths which seemed neat. I want to give this place another shot since it's sooo close to work but I won't be rushing back.

We were seated in a private booth. Restaurant is not fancy, but the food was great! The service was nice to us. We went 8ish for dinner on Friday and the food came in a timely manner. We were very satisfied with our experience. We will go back. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt the WORSE Japanese food I have EVER eaten. Starting with the frozen salad continuing with the dried out Beef Negimake; fish-less Jalapeño roll. Go elsewhere. go anywhere just not here. horrible.

Best sushi inn town! My favorite is the Red Dragon Roll. The service is friendly and very welcoming. The dessert are delicious also (tempura vanilla ice cream is my favorite).

This place was incredible. The interior was comfortable and service was friendly and our server was quick to get our order. We ordered the sushi deluxe platter with the tempura appetizer. The tempura was light, crispy and not oily at all. The sushi platter was equally satisfying, fresh and delicious. Every dish was fairly priced and extremely tasty. I'm definitely coming back to this place!!!

Awesome hidden sushi place. I've eaten here regularly since I moved to Sunrise and will continue to eat there. The staff is friendly, the ambience is cozy and takes your imagination to an actual place around Asia. Sometimes the site gets packed and the service takes a little bit long but it's worth the wait.

The best sushi in Town! The Lobster roll its amazing!!! Every time i go to this place the owner is with a cheerful smile... Makes you feel welcome... The service is good too... And the chef is pretty cool... Always tells pretty good jokes and gets the rolls ready in time!!

It's hit or miss - exactly what you don't want in a sushi restaurant. I've been there three times with friends: twice it was good (not blown-away good, but respectable), the third time they were out of huge chunks of the menu and the sushi they had was not fresh. It's an okay place if you go during the week for a cheap lunch, but on weekends I'd steer clear.

Stopped by for lunch this sunday with my sister. The food was really good and the service was fine, given that we were the only ones there, so you cant really mess up there. My sister, who had lived in Japan for several years and is very picky about japanese food said that her sashimi and volcano roll were very fresh...

If you don't mind outdated decor, this is a great little restaurant. There has never been a wait or even a large crowd since I began going. This is my "go-to" place on a Friday or Saturday night when I am hungry and do not want to wait to be seated. The sushi is consistently the best I have had in Broward county. The "sexy tuna" roll is my favorite, definitely worth trying.

Went before the Panthers hockey game 12/26...was going to go to the italian restaurant in the same strip but after waiting 10 minutes and no server came to Sushi inn instead. Very good decision. Had the box (sushi, teriyaki, rice, pineapple, sashami) and a Philly roll and they were delicious. Had a bit of a wait after order even though it wasn't real crowded, but it sure beat next door. Wasn't real expensive. For you sports fans, behind the bar was a poster of the cheerleaders for the old Miami Floridians ABA team from about 1970. They were wearing boots up to below their knees...classic. I was going to offer to buy it but it was taped up and not in excellent condition.

We tried 2 different soups there and both were disgusting. The appetizers but just ok, nothing I would order again. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because the actual sushi rolls were good quality and prepared well. Service was just ok.

I will not be coming back here after my one experience. I waited for 30 minutes for 2 rolls (veggie and california), which was probably due in large part to the staff doing sake bombs with a group of customers eating in. They seemed to be enjoying it, at least! The sushi was decent, but not worth the long wait when it wasn't even a busy night. I'd hate to see the service on a busy night!

This place is sweet. The food is really good! They have private booths, with shades. I stumbled upon this place randomly one day, and haven't stopped coming here. The service is on point. I recommed you go for lunch and order a lunch box. You get a little bit on everything and it's big enough to share. A really cool unique place, check it out!

First and last time here. Below mediocre food and very dated decor. Waitress brought out wrong food and it tasted old and tempura flakes were stale. I will not be coming back.

Let me start this off by saying this is my go to lunch spot for the office. I usually pre-order my food before I leave the office because I'm just that much of a boss... usually when I show up my food is ready for me to vacuum up. The bento boxes are pretty good too. Best economical roll is the spicy crab roll...

I have heard about this place and wanted to go for the past 2 years. Last night a group of us went. I enjoyed browsing thru the menu, its colorful and the selection of dishes were amazing. I wanted to order so many dishes!! I started with the Udon with shrimp tempura soup. I am not a fan of soups but this one was the bomb!! So delicious and tasty. The shrimp tempura was on the side not in the soup as I thought it would be. I had a bite of the chicken liver. Really tasty!!! I want to go back and try some more of the rolls and dishes. The ambiance was good. They have an area with "closed in" tables for private dining. The staff really friendly.

Food here is pretty good. The sushi was good but not exceptional. I got a California roll and a volcano roll. My main complaint is the service. Very slow. Only 4 tables taken while I was there, waited 15 mins after asking for the check, finally I just took it up to the counter. The waitress was friendly, she was just not attentive at all. It wouldn't of been a big deal if the place was busy, but nobody was there. I may return, hopefully my experience will be better. If so I will definitely update my review!

Went to this place for the first time expecting alot and i was not let down. Sushi is great and fresh. And i was suprised when i saw what i think was either the manager/owner head behind the sushi bar and start making sushi himself ( they were busy and rightfully so). You have earned a patron for life.

Although the place is a little dated, the arrangement of the settings with the semi-private tables are a nice touch. Our server was very pleasant. The food was average. We had vegetable yaki soba,.which was watery, and the sexy tuna roll, for almost $12, was nothing to write home about. The food wasn't horrible, but it wasn't noteworthy either.

If you eat sushi often you won't appreciate this place at all. We were the only customers and order was brought out incorrect. "Tuna appetizer" tasted like ground tuna fish with siracha on it. Don't waste your time. Sushi wasn't bad. It just didn't taste fresh. I've had worse but wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I had heard about how wonderful this place is for a long time by friends who live in the area. We had not had a reason to go until a birthday dinner for one of said friends took us there. First things first, I am rating this place on food. Sure the inside is not brand spanking new, but honestly the places that are usually are more flash and less substance. What I found here was SUBSTANCE. By far in SoFla this is my favorite Sushi restaurant. It is by no means close to me, but a good reason to head to the Sunrise area. We had ordered a few rolls and our friends did the same for the most part but others did order bowls of noodles, sashimi and a couple of other things. We LOVED our rolls... I ordered randomly so I don't remember what they were that night, but what I can say is that we noticed that absolutely everyone else ordered a (something, something) Tokyo roll. Everyone. We had not but they gave us some to try. It was delicious. One of our friends was in the Air Force and was stationed in Japan for over 3 years. He pointed things out in the meal and explained that the sushi was cut in the correct way, that the noodles tasted right and that the food was very authentic. The prices are awesome, they really were. We enjoyed it so much that we had told our Sushi roll obsessed daughter about it. So for our Sunday meal today we asked her if she wanted to go to the regular place (The Pancake House) and she said that no, she wanted to try Sushi Inn. We took her.. Today we ordered the Tokyo roll, the Angry Tuna (because spicy isn't pissed off enough), the Futomaki, the vegetable and the spicy crab. Or Krab, because its the imitation stuff. It was DELISH. We liked it all so much that we ordered another Angry Tuna to share. All of this, one iced tea and two Miso Soups later the bill came out to $54 plus change (pre-tip). Not bad at all for 3 people who ate until they couldn't eat any more! Lets put it this way, after lunch we went to Sawgrass to pick up a few necessities. Hours later on our way home my hubby was still saying "That food was great". Indeed it was.

I went on Monday before going to the BB&T Center for a concert. My friend and I love to eat sushi and figured we'd give it a try. It's a cute little place in a shopping center. We decided to sit at the sushi bar. There was only a handful of other people there. We were greeted immediately. We started off with some Kirin lights which came in a frosted mug (always a plus for me lol). I ordered the spider roll and my friend ordered the panther roll. We were given a cucumber salad that was really tasty considering it was cucumbers with pieces of crab meat. The dressing was really good. Our food was brought out fairly quickly and it was fresh and yummy. Some items on the menu seemed a bit too pricey for my taste but I wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area.

Love this place! My favorites are happiness and volcano roll. I always go when they're about to close but they always whip something up quick for me to take with. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious!
