Food: The dim sum was pretty good here, comparable to California's dim sum. They had a lot of different plates, all which I thoroughly enjoyed. 4/5 Service: The food came out in carts like most dim sum restaurants. We came on a Sunday afternoon and we still had to wait for about 20 minutes. The service wasn't bad. Final thoughts: I'm surprised to see some bad reviews. I must have come on a good day. Everything I ordered was great. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area!

Don't go here! Worst dim sum place in Miami area! This place is packed only becuase it's right next to a big Chinese supermarket. We went for Sunday brunch, waited for 15 mins which is pretty decent for dim sum place. However, the food is below average. There are not so many choices of dishes. We couldn't find shrimp dumpling, leek dumpling or beef tender. Most of dishes are tasteless. Not to mention the slow service and loud enviroment. Won't go back!

NOTE: I USE TO WORK HERE NOT BEING BIASED! ! I paid for all of these meals! There are things that are amazing quality and some I wouldnt order. Prices here are quite expensive. Hot and Sour Soup- delicious, depending on the day of which chef is able to cook it. I think it was sunday where the meat was more flavorful. Orange Chicken- the sauce was very good but the chicken was dry :/ Sweet and sour chicken- the pineapples and bellpeppers gave the chicken a good flavor but it was pricey. Authentic: Beef chow fun- if you like your noodles soft, go for it. I wouldnt. Peking Duck- pricey but its freshly roasted for the crispy skin Salt fish fried rice - rice tends to get hard since the rice is already dry in general. Wouldnt order again. Beef/Fish in hot chili oil- very very authentic not a lot of restaurants serve this! TRY IT IF YOURE INTO SPICY FOODS! ! It is pricey but you can share it. Oysters: it is so cheap for a fresh oyster in chinese sauce. There is XO sauce and garlic and vemercelli noodles. I personally didnt like their XO sauce but the garlic was on point! The size was huge. DIMSUM: COME EARLY IF YOU DONT WANT TO WAIT! I was the hostess there. Busiest time is 11:30 to 12. BEST time: 11:00! ! ! Plenty of variety and Freshly off the oven. SOMETIMES the food can be cold just ask them for another one. It was in a push cart. Must try: Chicken buns Stuffed eggplants with shrimp Shrimp balls Shrimp dumplings Congee Shrimp/beef rice paste I didnt like these: Fried taro balls- very oily The veggies - sometimes they have large stems that are very difficult to chew. I would only eat the leaves so its not worth it. Fried chive, beef, and peanuts dumpling - tastes so weird and oily. OVERALL: Dimsum is decent since i didnt get to try their variety of foods in depth. I wouldnt eat here for dinner all the time. Probably once every few months. Try the flower tea with rock sugar! ;) If you read all of this, please hit the useful button. I just want to know if anyone out there is actually reading my massive review. Ive worked for many restaurants so its a guide whether or not i should elaborate in details.

Very good Chinese food. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant in America. Having been to China and spent a total of seven weeks there, I would say this place is authentic. Very exciting variety for south Florida. Having read some of the negative reviews I almost didn't go. We went at the weekend and had items off the main menu. Not the weekday dim sum, which seems to be the source of much of the reviewers discontent. The staff were very welcoming to us and helped us with the menu and advice on choices. I'm going back 100% certainty. The Szechuan peppers are a lip trip for anybody that hasn't tried the "buzz" before !

Their dim sum is from 11-3 on weekdays They have great service, especially if you're chinese haha. There are always servers roaming around, checking if you're satisfied w everything. We even got a sweet soup dessert on the house, a taro and clear tapioca soup which was very good! We came for dinner, and ordered 3 dishes Beef noodle chow fun - kind of good flavor, but oily Beef and radish "casserole" - this is basically beef and radish that come in a stone pot , steaming! Pork and green beans In my opinion, and as a native chinese and Asian, Toa Toa was much better We had dim sum for dinner, and at Toa Toa, it was AMAZING. It surpassed this place by alott.

Not too shabby of a place. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Get here early on a weekend though because this place gets PACKED. I was lucky enough to arrive around 11:00am on a Sunday morning and was seated right away. But by the time my boyfriend and I finished our meal, there was a huge line and tons of people eagerly waiting for food. They have your usual dim sum fare here. Shrimp shiumai (dumplings), chicken feet, BBQ pork puns, a variety of steamed buns, taro balls, shrimp balls, congee, etc. I was particularly happy with the chicken feet (I mean, I finished a whole order to myself). I was a little disappointed with their shrimp rice rolls. It usually comes with this delicious sauce that's light, slightly sweet and salty--it basically makes the dish. However, I'm sad to say that this place basically used soy sauce and that kind of ruined the dish for me, so I'm going to have to take a star away. Service here is decent. It may take some time to flag a server down once they get really busy, but my boyfriend and I aren't too needy when we're preoccupied with all the food carts strolling around. Don't be shy about trying a new dish. Prices were comparable to other places I've been to in south Florida so that shouldn't stop you from being adventurous. I would have to take another star away because they didn't have my favorite dessert. It's a warm soft tofu dessert that I always try to score at every dim sum place and I was pretty bummed that they didn't have any. Not sure if it's because they ran out or if they just don't make it. I guess I'll have to come back another time to find out.

2.5 This place left a lot to be desired. With it being Sunday at lunch time I knew this place was going to be busy. We saw a line out the door and decided to check out the strip mall so maybe the lunch rush would die down. After over an hour we went back over to put our name in with still a 30 minute wait. The waiting area up front was cramped with lots of people waiting but the small amount of time in there I noticed the floor was wet, no soaked... Finally, our name was called and we were seating. Our table was cleaned but then it looking like someone carried something dripping over our table to make it dirty again. The guy that sat us noticed but only replaced one chair. I had to replace my chair with one at the next table over and our table cloth was still dirty. The carts came very slow and the first one to show up had mostly sweet Dim Sum on it; not realizing we received two sweets to start off with.. After not being impressed with the food or atmosphere we decided we would just try a couple more to make sure there isn't something here we are missing. Again, these carts were very slow to come by even though the restaurant was full. What we ended up trying was dry and not very flavorful minis the sweets. As I said in the beginning there was so much left to be desired. Sticky Rice- Decent Steamed Pork Bun- Dry & Bland Sesame Seed Ball- Served Cold & Super dry Yellow Cake Rolls- Yum! Like Sponge Cake! Steamed Sugar Custard Bun- Super sugary but intriguing tasting! Overall, we have tried most of the Dim Sum restaurants around and we won't be back to this one. It by far isn't the worst food but with the atmosphere and lack of service/ knowledge of being about to describe the dishes; this place will be left out for us.

Kind of a funny little note, the pronunciation of the Chinese name for this restaurant is really similar to Tin Fish so I checked in AND wrote the review for the wrong restaurant...oops. Thank god a friend here on Yelp messaged me and corrected my mistake. So...onto the review for the proper place: It's the second time I had the dim sum here, I like it! Apparently they only have it during lunch time on weekends? It's not order off the menu, they come around with push carts and you point at what you want. I'll post some pictures later on some of the stuff that I recommend, I just don't have any idea how to describe what I ate lol so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I was recommended by a good friend of mine to check this place out. Got there when they're first open so everything was freshly made. I was waited by a male server who was well dressed, and his English was well spoken. He was probably 2 or 3 that can speak English there. The dim sum server that brings the cart around spoke no English. The dim sum was excellent, I had the sticky rice, bar b q pork bun, egg tart bun, shrimp siu mai, and a couple of others I don't know that name. They were all great. I usually go to China Pavilion in Pempbroke Pine, but this place is going to be my go to place for dim sum now. Overall service is like any typical Chinese restaurant, but the food is excellent and definitely worth the 25 minute drive.

The food was fresh and delicious. Our young kids loved it, and the fish tanks are a good diversion. Was here twice in a week a recent family trip-- apparently its the best place if you're in Florida. We drove about 45 minutes to get here, and it was worth it. Service was very friendly, and the food was tops. If only they had my favorite-- Coconut Skyscrapers (aka coconut jello pudding), I would have given them 5 stars.

This is my second time here when visit south florida. The lunch time dim sum is a push cart with right temperature serving. From cart you can select the "small dish" Dim Sum you like. Today the best dish is shrimp spring roll. The skin of the roll is crispy and pop. The chef use different skin instead of shanghai spring roll skin. There is different between two that allow the skin to be pop when you eat it. This can tell you there are some dim sum chef are paid attention to the detail of the food. Every single items is great. The service is fast. We have 9 items that only cost $35. Each item average is about $4. Medium price. The tea is included. They also serve menu chinese dish.

This place is only getting worse. I came here for dinner with my parents and the restaurant didn't have anything that was on the menu no veggies that were stated on the menu... No duck... No cold cuts as advertised in the menu with a picture... And some other things on the menu they didn't have, even things listed on the "specials" board in the front. Food taste between bleh and ok. Downnnnhilllll from here. I only come because it's in a convenient location for me. But even now it's not worth it anymore.

By no means could I be classified as a masochist. But in a twisted way I was actually entertained by this most unpleasant experience. Typically I won't enter an establishment with a 3 star average with more than 20 reviews. Strike 1: Once I entered Pine Court I was greeted and quickly seated. I arrived about 1 hour before closing on a weekday and noticed there were only 2 other occupied tables.` After receiving the menu, I showed the manager their 10% off yelp check-in special. Dude said in a smooth manipulative voice that the Yelp check-in special was no longer valid. Strike 2: I decided to order the spicy sesame chicken $6.95 bit.ly/1htCGAY , Curried Singapore style Vermicelli $10.95 bit.ly/1htCJwC , Stewed bean curd Hakka style bit.ly/1htCPUQ and King of "Har gar "Shrimp dumplins" bit.ly/1htErOG . The spicy sesame chicken was as cold as a popsicle, they must have just brought it out of a fridge and threw it on a plate. I flagged down the server and inquired about my "ice cold dish" and she replied in a heavy accent while walking by " suppose to cold " and kept walking. Interestingly even though the dish was cold it was actually quite tasty! Strike 3: Before I ordered the stew bean curd, I asked the server what it was and she said it was fried bean curd. I asked her if there was any meat in it and she said no. After I took a few bites of this crisp yet bland dim sum, I noticed an unknown piece of flesh at the bottom. I flagged down the server and asked her what it was and she said it was shrimp. Either way i think she just said whatever came to mind. Strike 4: Again I had to flag down someone for my bill, when I received it I noticed a discrepancy. Both dim sum items were listed as $4.50 though I were told they were $4.00 each. When I told the server(who was different from my initial server) that the price is incorrect. She walked away and glanced back at me and said " you write tip " while pointing at the receipt. I think I had to flag down three different people as my initial server went MIA after taking my order. This is the first time since I was a kid that I had to request a doggy bag. I obviously couldn't eat cold chicken and the vermicelli portion was huge and I couldn't finish it. I was actually laughing throughout the whole time I was there, I was in utter disbelief of what I was experiencing from start to finish. I would have loved to have video recorded my experience. Its such a shame, yet entertaining, the food is actually tasty and flavorful. But the service is horrid, but in a comical way.

I've been to many dimsum places prior to this location and I won't be coming back. The food was not hot. We spent about $30 on six dishes. I'm down to give every restaurant a try. But the restaurant quality was just awful. I'm not sure how people eat here. Hopefully dinner time is better.

Dim sum is one of my most favorite meals and if you are looking for some decent Chinatown style dim sum, Pine Court will satisfy that itch. For the uninitiated, dim sum is Chinese tapas, a series of small order dishes, usually comprising of two to three pieces of whatever it is you order. Carts with similar types of dim sum come around. You are given a ticket and when select what you want from the cart, the server will stamp your ticket. Usually the price is dictated by the size of the dish of small, medium or large. Additional prices are for specialty dishes and vegetables. As a general rule, try to get a seat along the aisle as this will make it easier for you to order and carts are less likely to miss you. There are also some dishes that you can order from your seat. If you see something that you want to try, don't hesitate to ask your server. Now the quality of the dim sum here is pretty good and probably the closest experience you will get to dim sum places on Mott St. in NYC. However, occasionally you will get a cold dim sum piece---this seems to be especially true if you order a pan fried turnip cake which is best severed hot. Although they may get annoyed, send it back. If you are not sure what to order and want to take baby steps before venturing into more exotic or different types I would suggest the following and I have included phonetics for the wagoren(outlander) :) Roasted Pork Bun (char shu bao): roasted pork in a sweet baked bun. Chicken Bun: (Kai bao chai) savory chicken in a sweet rice steamed bun. Leek Dumpling: fried leek and shrimp dumplings in a very thin, round and crispy rice skin. Mustard Greens: Order some of these. Sure it $8.95, but you get a lot and they are delicious. This should start you off. However, after you have tried the basics; try the steamed lotus leaf (sticky rice with chicken, shrimp, sausage--not pretty but yum!); turnip cake (pan fried mashed turnip with sausage and shrimp); beef paste (steamed beef with cumin/coriander in a rice wrap) and for dessert a sesame ball (fried sesame glutinous sweet rice covered in sesame and with red bean inside) or egg custard (pastry filled with a slightly sweet custard). All of these are my faves. Also make sure to order some chrysanthemum tea, served with sugar cubes. A bit extra, but oh so good. If you want a complete list of dim sum overall (pine court has many of these...estimate 60 or more). Try this link: atthebackofthehill.blogs… Anyway, last but of advice....come before noon if you are here on a Sat or Sun as they inevitably have a long wait after that.

Gross not feeling it! I'm all about good dim sum, good conversation, and good atmosphere, but the only thing I got was the conversation and that's because I brought it! I was excited to try it after hearing people rave about this place, but it didn't appeal to my palette! The food was super greasy and not that impressive. The place was outdated and seemed typical if it were 1980 and I didn't care about taste. By the way 2 people out of the group I went with spent the night on the toilet... Not to discourage anyone from trying it but enter at your own risk.

It's been a long time since we've been back mainly because of the service, not the food. We decided at the spur of the moment at the insistence of some friends to go out for authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food. So after explaining that unless your Asian be prepared for slow service. I think they want to help but because of the language barrier they don't have the patients to help the non Asian navigate the extensive menu. We were greeted and seated promptly and given the standard menu and the picture menu upon our request. We studied the menu and when we were ready it to order we had quite a hard time getting a server's attention even though we were the only table of the three that had not ordered yet. Finally, getting someone's attention we began to order but when he couldn't answer the questions he called over the manager who was quite helpful in explaining the dishes and even advised us when we ordered too much. Here's the menu which satisfied all six of us. Seafood tofu soup- overall rating of fair: quite bland, barley enough seafood and a chicken flavored broth. Spicy cold chicken- excellent with a slightly vinegar and spicy oil sauce Short ribs on a sizzling platter with sauce- good flavors Eggplant and beef- also nice medley of flavors and not a heavy sauce Peking Pork chop- a breaded and fried chop in a thin slightly sweet red sauce. I don't usually like things fried but this had a nice crust to meat ratio and was quite good. As well as added a balance of textures to the meal. Sautéed pea tips- perfectly prepared Fujian Fried Rice- a new experience for all of us. It was simple fried rice quickly with just some vegetable as this style of fried rice is topped with a special seafood sauce with black mushrooms that sets it apart from anything we had ever experienced . Oh, I almost forgot to mention that this is owned by the same people that own the New York Market located in the same plaza. This gives them the availability of fresh everything, especially tanks of fresh seafoods. As I said, the food is worth trip. However, should you go it would be wise to seek out the manager to assist with the ordering . If not make sure that your server understands English. We would definitely return to try more of this fantastic menu.

There's many reasons why this place didn't get the 5 stars. When first sitting I was scared very scared due to the lack of great service from one waitress, but things changed and changed for the best. Another waitress came and she was great and spoke decent English enough to keep up a short conversation outside what was written on the menu. I had the shrimp wonton soup, which was amazing mixed with ground pork. I had pork shumai and orange beef which was also very good. At this point I was at 5 stars for a yelp rating until right before leaving I saw a roach and then I had to give it 4 stars, but all Chinese places have roaches so i didn't freak lol.

The last few times I've been here, the dim sum has been absolutely amazing. Even the service has gotten better and consistently so! I really love their beef and pork ribs, the siumai, the cilantro shrimp dumplings, the hargow, taro, oh I could keep going! I almost hate to say it since I am a Toa Toa loyalist, but the dimsum here may be my new fave here in South Florida! It's really so good here! If you've never been you must at least give it a try.

Dim sum here!! If you are coming to Pine Court, make sure you check in first through Yelp to New York Mart to get your 10% off! The dim sum is great!! Best I have tried in South Florida. It might be a bit expensive than the other dim sum places, but totally worth it. You will see lots of asians here eating... hint hint, good sign!! We stumbled upon this place when we visited a couple of months ago the New York Mart, so this place was definitely bookmarked! So for those that don't know about Dim Sum, this is the 101...... Phoenix claws or chicken feet - very delicious flavor Har Gow or shrimp dumplings - were great! the skin of the dumpling is very light and delicate (unlike other places that it's like totally white) Lo mai gai or lotus leaf rice - was splendid!! the inside was white and it did not have a strong flavor from the beef, the ingredients inside felt fresh i.e. chinese sausage (it's not any sausage!) Shaomi or pork with shrimp dumplings - again great flavor and soft Steamed meatballs - a bit too soft for my taste, but flavor was good Baos - a variety of pork, custard and duck egg - whichever you choose make sure you choose wisely, you might want to have the salty stuff first or anyway everything is going to the same place i.e. your stomach!!!! Tofu skin roll - vegetarian!! yummy!! or it might have some meat! Daan taat or egg tart - it was ok, tried better ones but this passes the test So after all this food, I want dim sum again!! My heart feels warm and fuzzy when I do dim sum. Which the literal translation into English is that it touches your heart!

Really great dim sum! We got there at 11:30 AM on a Saturday and we timed it just right. Everything was coming straight out of the kitchen to our table. Try the jellyfish, calamari, shrimp and mango dumplings , steamed greens, the freshest ever, and anything else. You will not be disappointed!

We came here last week for Dim Sum and all I can say is that they are serving COLD DIM SUM. All the dim sum that was not in a steamer was room temperature. That is pretty much inexcusable.

Food was delicious. Customer service was superb. Waitress always available checking on our needs with a happy smile. That's what we want to see. We go to dine out. Enjoying the food that we eat in a nice and friendly atmosphere. I am going back here.

After reading all the great reviews, I thought this place was a sure bet. My fellow yelpers, if you have never been to dim sum before, this is not a good introduction. I felt like a stranger thrust into a stranger land with no guide. Everyone is very nice and personable, but at the same time incapable of being helpful. I realized that the other patrons were quite adept at selecting small dishes, but I can't imagine that I am the first newcomer to have passed through here. Even at Chili's they ask "have you been here before" ? Most places will even give you a rudown of how things work. No such pleasantries here. There's the pool swim or sink... good luck. With no direction and being extremely hungry, I ordered something random to find out it was some item you couldn't pay me to eat. They were quick to take it away. No problem. But still, even after that, no menu was offered or direction given. After trying a couple dishes, I felt as though I gave it enough of a try and paid the check. I don't even know how much each item was.

Dim sum is a Cantonese favorite. Small, bite sized portions served on small plates or in baskets. The colloquial expression for going out to a dim sum place is "going for tea" since traditionally one drinks green tea with dim sum. The first time I had dim sum was a grand experience. A very small exclusive restaurant in North Miami. Perhaps parking in the back and walking through a private hallway had something to do with the mystique. Or maybe it was being greeted by the owner and seated promptly by the hostess. The ambience was very intimate, only a few tables with just enough room for the carts to go by. The tea was as to very expected: green. The servers (as you will) were attentive and explained what was in each of the items. I felt as if I had a private sitting. The memory is a fantastic one. This is what I was looking for. According to one of my favorite Yelmigos Kelvin, this is precisely what one should look for when in search of great dim sum. We arrived on a whim. The restaurant we originally drove to was closed, out of business. Not wanting to go through putting the baby back into the car to drive somewhere else, we stumbled into this establishment. When we walked in, we were pretty excited. It is well known that a tell of great ethnic food is that it is frequented by those most knowledgeable about the cuisine. Inside the restaurant it felt as if we had been transported somewhere in China (never been so I can only imagine)... The hostess was friendly. We were seated immediately, but then no one ever came back to our table. The tons of people around us had several of small plates and baskets of food scattered all over their tables. The servers came around with carts, and we had no idea what we were looking at. When we asked, everyone was very nice, but we never got a clear answer and were not offered a menu. Everyone around us was busy ordering and filling their tables, and it was just a bit overwhelming. We tried some peppers and buns, and then left disappointed.

The restaurant is large, bright & seems clean. The Sunday dim sum was very busy, but the service was pretty good in spite of the large crowd. Plenty of variety and the quality and taste both were very good.

The only authentic-tasting dim sum/Chinese food I've had since moving to the Ft. Lauderdale area. It's a bit pricey compared to what I'm used to, but I can't complain too much. They have chicken feet here! And they roll out food out on carts! You know the food is good when the majority of people eating in the restaurant are Asian. If you don't know what to order, just point. The purpose of dim sum is to try lots of things with a lot of people, so invite all your friends and eat adventurously. Don't be afraid to ask what the people there recommend. Everyone tends to like shui mai (kinda like a Chinese pork meatball in an open wanton), har gow (shrimp in a semi-opaque rice flour wrap), bbq pork buns, ha chun (sp? but it's a rice noodle wrap with shrimp), taro cake, turnip cake, egg tart, and if they have it, xiaolongbao (soup dumpling, if made right, really awesome since it's a bite of soup). For the brave, chicken feet, jelly fish, and anything you can't identify easily.

This place used to be so good when it first opened. I have always gone on Sundays for dim sum. I can't really comment on their regular menu. As far as dim sum on Sundays - the place is packed. For our party of 4, we waited about 30 minutes to get a table. Once we got a table, there was only 2 carts of food going around .. and it wasn't the good carts either. We wanted more variety. I had to track down different wait staffs for ice water, for additional items that we couldn't get from the cart, and even for napkins. If you want Dim Sum - go to Toa Toa or Tropical Chinese in Miami. Those 2 are my top picks! Very consistent!

I'm not gonna lie, I hate this place but I always go because my family likes it. The service is absolutely terrible. I've been here at least 20 times and I probably had "okay" service twice. Every other time, I have to flag down the people and ask for something which they usually walk away too fast and forget about. The food was good, but I feel like it's gotten worse through time... but once in a blue moon it'll be really good. I used to think the carts were really cool like they have in new York, but lately every time I get the food, it's really cold, especially the fried items that aren't in the steamer. Last time I came, there were 3 dead cockroaches on the side of the window which really makes me question the cleanliness of this place. With that being said, I will probably be back here next week against my will.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Me and my husband went in for dinner one of the ladies mad it feel very uncomfortable for us. We really felt unwelcome in the restaurant. She gave us the regular menu when we asked for the dim sum menu she act like it was inconvenient for her to get it with a sigh and the menu was right behind her. We ordered our food when I asked questions about the order she didn't answer. We felt super conformable we told her we was leaving not once did she turn around to say anything. I wouldn't recommend

We go down to south Florida every so often and Pine Court is one of those places we visit. Its a Dim Sum place and it also serves Cantonese food. When it first opened it was cool that there was another restaurant that serves Dim Sum and also another restaurant besides Silver Pond for Chinese dinner down there because everrrrrrry body knows about Silver Pond. Ambiance is like an trying to be a classy restaurant but needs some cleaning in some areas. (i'll get to Silver Pond later on their business page later......) Dim Sum: Its alright. It has your usual varieties and for the weekends (only times i've been) they have the push cart there and it gets quite busy. Most of it is okay - I thought for a place like this, I was hoping they would have some of the specialty dim sum i would find in Cali or NY but nope. Dinner: They served salted peanuts as a amuse bouche (haha sorta - i mean not technicality-wise its not your typical amuse bouche) for before dinner! I would give this portion an extra half a star because I believe the floor manager was very helpful and the food was good. They have different special running but only 1 special per table. We have picked the 2 lobster deal twice now. They also have a Peking duck special which the floor manager slices in front of the table like how they do it in China, served with buns and scallions. It looked cool - thought bout trying it next time. We also got this pork/taro fried dish and it was delicious - totally recommend that. Its sometimes understaffed so all the servers gets all antsy and stressed but that also leads to some sort of wait time when you needs something. Overall its OK - good on those days when its adequate on staffing. Food wise - Better at night.

Happy accident that we found this restaurant! I haven't been to China, so can't say if it's "authentic" but I haven't seen a menu or atmosphere like this since Vancouver's China Town. I'm a vegetarian, but had fun browsing the picture book menu of the wide variety of dishes. I went with the safe bet fungi and veggies in a fermented bean sauce. My eso had the curry seafood vermicelli. Both were fantastic not only for their scrumptious flavor but also for the fact this is not the normal Americanized Chinese food. After our meal, I tried to communicate to our server I'd like dessert. I still wasn't sure she understood when she brought out two bowls of what looked like warm bean and barley soup. Yes - she totally understood me! I would go back just for that "soup." It had the consistency of starchy wet oatmeal, and there were beans, but the subtle flavors of raisins, orange, and spices with a hint of sweet were unexpected and delicious! Great restaurant for those who are looking for a more "authentic" experience - not so great if you can only handle chop suey.

Best dim sum I've had in south Florida. We have lived in Toronto and New York, which are known for dim sum, and this place is on par with those restaurants. They have push carts, so you can pick what you want. And if you don't see a dish you want, just ask a water and they will get it for you. My mom really wanted the turnip cake and they make us a fresh order. It was delicious! The chicken feet we great! And the banana leaf wrapped rice was fresh and aromatic. The pork ribs were peppery and extremely flavorful. We found the waiter to be efficient. Not the friendliest, but that's to be expected at dim sum. Go for the amazing food and be adventurous. Just point and dishes and try them, you won't be disappointed!

Very authentic Chinese food clean and fresh. Has lots of setting. Not your ABC Chinese food. Best around here with a very extensive menu. Love that fish hotpot and short ribs. Haven't tried everything here but everything that I had was delicious. During the daytime they have dim sum which is they push around the cart. Just don't expect great service here its a hit or miss. Come for the food is all you should care about here. Had a manager here took dim sum off my table to give to the next table without even apologizing to us. Did not even tell us why and just walked away with our food. The waitress had to tell us after being asked why, that they are making more but that table wanted one to go. Like I stated come for the food not the service.

I was very please with the food here. Service was good. All the Dim sum was fresh. Will go back to try more dishes. I live in Fort Lauderdale and it is the best Dim sum I have found in this area. Fried shrimp were outstanding as were the buns. Great chicken feet also.

The only true Dim Sum restaurant I know of in south Florida. There is a bit of a language barrier with the staff, but all in all great. Dim Sum is served by the traditional carts 11a-3p. After 3 it's a consolidated dim sum menu and a traditional Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of of authentic Chinese dishes. If you're a "foodie" you must check this place out!! You will not be disappointed.

We regularly came for Dim Sum during weekend lunch time. 4 star for the food. 3 star for the service and environment. The dim sum is authentic and inexpensive. But the service is slow. This place is always busy during peak time.

Great dim sum in South Florida! The decor was nice, service great, a nice bargain for two people. We ate until we were stuffed, tried about 8 different dishes and ordered 1 beer; $42 total.

Came here for dinner with the family. Food is good but service was really slow. It was busy and the staff was unprepared for the dinner rush. There was a long wait for food. Majority of our dishes had arrived but the server kept forgetting to bring us white rice. Also our last 2 dishes finally arrived 30 minutes later after the rest of our dishes were gone. There were tables that had left because the food took too long to arrive. Another table was seated underneath a leaky ceiling that was dripping water on their food.

I honestly don't know how this place gets more then 3 stars from some of you reviewers.. I stopped here since I was in the area and wanted some dim sum.. The place looks like a typical dim sum cart place but cool factor is they have a tank area u can pick out ur sea food because they are alive. Then reality kicks in greeted by smile sat down to an old fashion screw you guys we don't want you here attitude by a male waiter.. When asked about the menu he walked away mid sentence.. But he doesn't stop there he doesn't come back to our table for 20 mins and I mind u there was 5 other tables 2 of which got there after us and they had food and drinks before he came back... I should of walked out but since I got drinks from another waiter I didn't wNt to walk out on 5 dollars worth of sodas, then get into a argument. Again he comes to our table and asked us "what do you want!" I was like hold me back before I break his hip. I asked a question again he walked away from the conversation. Ordered my food with another waiter who looked more like a table cleaner. Food arrived cold the shrimp dumplings are not homemade but the pork shumai was good. We ordered the walnut shrimp, pork shumai, shrimp dumpling, pork fried rice, and some type of beef. Portions are small for the price. Rice and beef were ok nothing spectacular and the walnut shrimp came with barely any sauce about 1/4 of the order had sauce the rest was fried shrimp.. I explained to him after I ate that I didn't want a refund but he issues of the meal he walked away mid sentence... To avoid me going off on this a-hole I walked up to get my check and pay but he wanted to cash me out my bill came out to 54. Dollars I didn't leave him a tip and he stated they didn't work for free. As he was talking I walked away just how he did to me three times... I wouldn't go back even if u payed me.

This restaurant is pretty good for dim sum and dinner. This place is a really good alternative to other well-known Chinese restaurants around this area. It has pretty much taken the customers that used to go to Hong Kong BBQ, Toa Toa, and Silver Pond. If you're Asian and live around here, I don't know why you're reading this. Every Asian should know about this place already. Something I will gripe about is that they need to turn up the AC. You're going to sweat when you come for dim sum. There are too many people on the weekends. Don't know what it's like on the weekdays. An incentive for coming is the bubble tea next door. This bubble tea is very comparable to Lolicups and Sweet Hut (my favorite place for Pearl Milk Tea, which is located near Atlanta, GA). It's called Chatime, which is located in a building called New York Mart. This mart is also another place that every Asian family always stops by for their groceries.

So after I said I wouldn't go back I ended up going back-- but it wasn't my idea!! The restaurant has improved A LOT since I last been. I had their dim sum and it was good. There was a lot of variety of dim sum in those carts the ladies push around tables. The service was much better this time around. Major improvements, I will go back.

Your typical push cart dim sum service. Overall the dim sum was just average. Some of the dishes like the taro dumpling came out rather bland. The fried turnip cake lacked flavor. It definitely needed some more seasoning. More chinese sausage in the actual turnip cake would have made it better. Some of the dishes required soy sauce which should not be the case with dim sum. If anything, dim sum dishes should be over-seasoned and not under-seasoned. The steamed pork/beef ribs were good as were the shrimp rolls. The shrimp dumpling was not very well made. The skin was too thick for my liking. For a casual dim sum fix, this place will suffice. Not the best but far from the worst.

If you do not speak the language look at the take out menu first !!!! They come around on carts with the food and try there hardest too explain but it's hard too understand :(. Chicken feet were amazing. They do not except your 10% off which if that was something I knew ahead of time I would not have eaten here!!!! Not only did I have too sit there and guess every meal, ask for sugar , go on yelp for brief descriptions. They were over whelmed with servers watching television. NY MART YOU SHOULD NOT BE PROMOTING THIS. I'm highly disappointed. Lost my love of DIM SUM

Very happy to have found this place. We came in for dim sum around noon on the weekend and it was very busy. We were seated quickly and the service was attentive and polite. The food is brought around on carts and they serve a great variety of delicious buns, dumplings, pastries, soups and other. The ladies who push the carts are not exactly fluent in English so if you need to know what exactly the dish is, it might be a bit confusing. For us, of the adventurous type it really was not an issue, we tried many things and loved it all! I haven't been here for dinner but think their dim sum are very good and best in the area. My personal favorites are the shrimp dumplings, egg curd pastry and of course who does not like the BBQ pork buns;) PS. Next door is a rocking Asian market btw. When I go I always stop by for bubble tea and other treats, great plaza to visit, always great experience.

Average dim sum at best. Does not compare to New York. Walked in around 12:30pm and surprised that the place was pretty busy. A few carts were going around serving food. Service was not good. Took a while for them to bring out water and hot tea. Did not even bother to ask for forks because the guy basically said I can't do so much when translated into English. Hence his tip greatly reflected his attitude. Food was ok. I think everything was made with a lot of MSG cause I felt like taking a nap afterwards. The shrimp dumplings tasted fresh though. I don't think I'll come back if I'm down here in Florida and craving some dim sum.

I came based off of a quick google search and for dim sum while we were in the area. We were greeted by our male waiter with glasses who had this really miserable "I-hate-you-people-vibe". I wondered if we were accidentally walking in right before closing time but we weren't (was 9, they close at 10:00, 11 on weekdays is not correct). Dim sum is what we came for but didn't realize they stopped serving that at 9 so we ordered other things. The service was non existent, I had to get up myself to get the extra menu we weren't given. Our 1st hateful/ invisible waiter abandoned us and after a while a new woman came. She was a bit more pleasant, but it's still not warm service. The food was good but nothing blew my mind, and I'm someone who loves authentic Chinese food. We were not asked if we wanted dessert or anything else prior to just being told that they are closing and brought our bill along with a "get out immediately and I will stare at you so you don't linger" vibe. I personally don't care about people being not nice but I came with a friend who was annoyed and it affected our dinner and experience. I would prefer to give my money to a business that seems to want to provide a nice service, not that acts like they dislike me!

Worst service ever. Workers are so rude. Food is mediocre. Place looks fine. Just the service is so awful. They are negligent, brusque and downright grumpy. I am sure management doesn't care. They used to be better years ago. Now they found some guys that have zero interpersonal skills.

They have the real dim sum experience, carts and all. So if that is what you are looking for then this is the place to go in Broward county. But I would rather skip the carts and have good, HOT dim sum from Toa Toa or China Pavillion. Plus, the service is despicable.

  • Mary L.

I've never had anything less than a great experience here. I don't mind that the staff don't greet me as warmly as they might at the Cracker Barrel - I'm here for the food, and nothing else. Don't trip me up with pleasantries, just bring me some chop sticks, and let me get on in there. I always sit on the end of the table so I can pick out what I like. The staff brings tea and water. The dim sum is fantastic. I could sit here all day, son. All day.

I've been here three times, and I must say-- the food is very consistent! Fresh and delicious. They are always so busy any day of the week that I've been. Surprisingly they even have carts pushed around during the weekday. If you eat dim sum often, you know a place has to be busy for them to push carts around during weekdays. My favorite is the duck feet and bean curd, but everything else is great too. We always order one of each dish. This is a great place to have large group luncheon because everything comes in tapa style. It's great to have more people, so you can try more dishes. Today they deserve an extra star from me because the service was actually decent.

Is it even possible to write a review with less than one star? Last night I went there with a friend because of a review from the Sun-Sentinel. We were seated, given tea and it took too long for the waiter to take our order. They said we were too late for dim sum (in a dim sum restaurant?) No soup, no mustard, no noodles, peanuts... nothing on the table to nibble on while we waited. The waiter would walk by, look at us and tell us that our food would be soon, but after an hour and a half we finally gave up. About 10 minute before we walked out, the waiter looked at me.. said "OH" ran into the kitchen and came out with someone else's food. We walked out and went to Toa-Toa (which was awesome) I will never go back to this place. I can't even rate the food

Well - i ordered pork with Chinese broccoli take out and when I got home - it was pork with American broccoli and mixed vegetables- not at all what I had ordered. So I was going to make the best of it, and tried to eat it. I had to spit the first bite out it tasted so horrible. Money wasted!! I tried to call them back before I headed over there to return the food and no one answered!! Grrrrr But I also ordered a dish of my favorite snow pea tips. This thing was swimming in way too much grease and to top it all off - had no flavor! 3 thumbs down for this place. 2 steps away from closing down with such horrible food. If you want good Chinese food go to Miami on bird road and 84th avenue. They never disappoint (Kon Chau Restaurant)

I think this is the best dim sum in Broward county. Toa Toa used to be good...the sizes of the dumplings are smaller and smaller. I am staying with Pine Court, the food is ready, fresh and delish!

My family and I used to love this place when it first open. But, now, the food is just terrible. Not my go-to place for some dimsum in the south Florida area.... I had the shrimp dumplings and it was extremely salty for steamed shrimps. The chicken feet was okay, not the best I've ever had. I would rather pay a little more and go to Toa Toa down the street.

Sad to say I cannot even give Pine Court a fair review on their cookery... I went on a weekday afternoon and they were pretty busy the push carts of dim sum never even made it over to our table or it would be all taken already. After 30-40 minutes of waiting I decided to have lunch else where.. I'm not really going to touch bases about the service, you should already know typical "authentic" Chinese restaurant attitude. Perhaps I may give them another try if I am in the neighborhood and actually review their dishes.

Dim sum!!! Carts go by and you choose, sometimes they can be explained, sometimes not...depends who is pushing the cart. Be adventurous and ask for the menu with pictures. You can also order from the menu and it's great. Food is good, some amazing. There is a super fun market in the plaza for adventures after. The plaza itself is a mini international shopping/dining spot.

Compendium of 4 visits - highlights. Visit 1 - very excited about dim sum - ordered some for takeout and liked the variety and food. Visit 2 - dinner - disappointed that the dishes themselves were not at the same level - bland, greasy etc. I left most of it. Visit 3 - tried again for lunch dim sum. This time we ate in, did the carts. Very very different and more difficult. We don't eat pork and as many others have mentioned, the lack of English speaking servers made our experience very very bad. We did not know all of what we were eating and had to spit it out a couple of times ... whatever it was, it was horrible tasting ... even talking to management at that moment was useless. I was embarrassed to my friend for even having suggested it. I completely agree with other reviewers on this. Visit 4 - 2 days ago - more than 6 months later - craving dim sum - thought I would go back to my ordering method of Visit 1. No go. I wanted fried dumplings and found out 2 things - one, that my favorite crispy shrimp balls were not on the menu any longer, and two, again, maybe due to the language barrier, that they have NO fried dumplings of ANY kind. I find this hard to believe of ANY chinese restaurant. Forgive the cap emphasis but it was quite frustrating. I'll take it as a sign ...

The food was nice, it was fresh. Literally we had to wait 20 minutes for it, but that's fine. This place doesn't get more stars because of the terrible service. No refills and they forgot half of our order. We just paid for what we ate and left, didn't even bother asking for the missing food.

If you are expecting the typical American Chinese restaurant food, despite the typical decor you are in for a treat! Our Chinese Exchange Student turned us in to Pine Court! What you will notice as the amount of Oriental families dinning here. What separates pine Court is every dish has a different sauce, not your typical General Tao's Chicken. My favorite is the " Spicy Fish Hot Pot" , and the Bok Choy is delicious! Yes the service is a bit slow but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Go to the expensive popular chain if you want atmosphere, come to Pine Court if you want good food!

I'm also really surprised by the bad reviews here. Maybe they've changed management? This was my 1st time here and I had a great experience. They had stuff they I don't normally see on Dim Sum menus. I think I even saw fried frog legs! We had a party of 6, everyone loved everything and none of us had any complaints. Food was fresh, tasty and quick. Maybe it's because we're Asian and they're biased?! Lol!

Great dim sum in the area! Used to be locked into China Pavillion or even Bamboo garden, but this is way better. There is a great selection thats fresh and tasty too! I have been several times and the quality has always been very good. The service may tend to be on the slow side, but that can be attributed to the restaurant being full, especially on the weekends!

Dim sum at it's best has finally arrived in S. Fla. Pine Court offers a great selection of dim sim dishes in push cart style. The dishes are excellent and by far probably one of my favorite places to go for it. Have visited the establishment on several occasions and found that the food and quality have been consistent time after time. This is when you know that they put out quality dishes that is edible and not overly greasy to make it taste better. If you are planning on trying Pine Court on the weekends, make sure you arrive early so that you can try some items that tend to sell out quickly and takes time to prepare. The service is pretty quick and the wait staff is extremely helpful. The only downfall is the young hostess that doesn't seem too friendly. Seems like the past couple of visits she has had different moods and displayed no concern for the guests. Does not seem like she knows where to seat the customers in an orderly and manageable fashion. But once you're seated, loosen up you waist belt and begin browsing the carts for food, because the food will come quickly. The pros about a push cart style dim sum at Pine Court is even if there is a wait it will be minimum. Because most of the time customers will be seated, food served instantly as the cart goes by and off they go when they're done. The only downfall is...every visit there will be different dishes and you won't always find available the ones that you enjoyed from the previous visit because of supply/demand... TIP: Show up early to make sure you are able to try all dishes available.

Another visit because I like my dim sum. I think the trick to liking this place is to only come for dim sum. at precisely noon. When they are most busy. To get the freshest food. There were lots of classics this Saturday afternoon; maybe we came at the perfect time. The shumai was the epitome of shumai - fatty springy pork filling just the way Asians eat it. No dessert cart to be found. I did spot some sesame balls at one point on the bottom of something else. I need me some egg tart to finish right! What a great meal for $35! We got 3 med, 4 large and 1 XL plate. I'll be back... for the dim sum

Everything tasted off to me. The things I expected to be on the salty side were actually sweet. Maybe I got used to a certain taste for dim sum, but this fell short of my expectations. The place was packed though, so maybe it's just me? I couldn't fathom how this place was jam packed as this was very mediocre dim sum.

Went there for take out today and for sweet n sour pork dinner along with a cashew chicken dinner , wanton soup and a beer was $50 and the batter on the chicken was all GREASE!!! The dimsum here is good. No doubt about it. It doesn't seem like it but there's a lot more to offer here than in most restaurants. They even have some dishes (vegetables, oysters, chicken feet, etc) ready for you straight out of the pot in the back, where you can bring your card and get some. The food is always hot / fresh because they go through so much at once since it's always busy there. Also another reason, it's right next to the New York Mart. Definitely one of the best Asian / Oriental marts I've ever been to in Florida but that's for another review, lol. I love their coconut milk jelly for dessert. Super light & yummy :) Pan fried turnip, shrimp dumplings, and steamed rice noodles are really good here. Sometimes, if I can find it or it comes, the fried taro too! It's push-carts and you have a card that they check off based on what you order. The carts rarely come by our table which usually result us having to get up out of our seats with our card and find the nearest cart. A lot of people love the idea of the carts because in most restaurants, they come to your table. But for this place, I don't like push-carts. I feel like you don't get to eat / try / see everything they offer because some of the carts just don't come to you. Sometimes it feels like there are no carts. I honestly much rather go to China Pavilion where you order off the paper and they bring it to your table. The service is what gave this place a 3.5 for me. Besides the carts, sometimes its just getting the attention of a waiter to refill our teapot, getting some glasses of water, or to get a box to go. My dad had to literally wave one down. I get it's a very large restaurant and there's a lot of ground / tables to cover but they should definitely hire more servers and get more carts. This place would be at least 4-4.5 stars if they fixed that.

I cant fathom how this place has gotten so many good reviews. The food is below average at best. If you like to wait 10 minutes before each greasy, bland and lukewarm dish, this is your place. No one here speaks English. The wait staff are a joke. Don't bother asking for anything, you'll never get it. We saw other tables just get up to get it themselve - soy sauce, napkins, hot tea refill, ice water, utensils, etc. My parents and I were unimpressed and will not be coming back. We've been going to Toa Toa Dim Sum for years & maybe that's what set our expectations so high. Hot steaming food made to order and most importantly all of it is incredibly tasty. We did not get even a fraction of that at PineCourt. Don't waste your time or money, it's not worth either.

I'm surprised by the less than stellar review on here, because this place is really great. I originally went to this shopping center to go to the New York Market, when I noticed a bunch of people congregating outside the restaurant. I wandered over and was shocked to find a Dimsum place complete with carts. I have been to Tao Tao a dozen times but I really prefer the ordering from carts. The food was fantastic. The carts came quickly and everything was steaming hot. The sticky rice and chicken feet were as good as I have ever had. All the dumplings were tasty and perfectly done. Unfortunately, the BBQ pork buns (my favorite) didn't come by until I was already stuffed. To be fair to the poor reviews concerning the service, it did take them a very long time to get us our water and tea. But, I am willing to tolerate it because the Dimsum was so good. I will definitely be back often.

I suggest to my non-Chinese family we try dim sum on Sunday. We arrived at noon to find the restaurant crowded and we were given a numbered ticket and told the wait would be 15 minutes. No problem, the time went quickly and we were seated within 15 minutes. A waiter quickly brought us water and tea. We waited about 10 minutes for the first dim sum cart to come by. We tried a bun with barbecued pork inside that was very nice, we had some sort of spring roll with meat inside (no idea what type of meat). We just 'went with the flow' and didn't ask for anything special. We figured out how to order the dumplings by pointing at them. If you are a picky eater I would not recommend trying this because I double a non-Chinese speaker would be able to figure out what is in the dumplings. My 9 year old really enjoyed the dim sum and can't wait to return. We enjoyed the food and will go again. The service and frequency of the carts was okay but not great. All in all we liked the experience and will return.

Honestly, it's not good enough. Service is fair. The servers are polite but no smiles. I know their dim sum time ends at 3pm. As I saw, there was still 70% full of customers around 2pm, but I only see 2 dim sum cars around with limited selections. Finally we needed to order Chow Fun. Food are ok. They have Chinese dishes but based on "dim sum" selections, there are less. However, the Beef Chow Fun was great. Conclusion: If this is a small restaurant, I think I won't request too much. However, their decor shows me that I should treat them a big, organized, traditional Chinese Dim Sum and Dinner place. For my opinion, they haven't reached that level.

Despite the bad reviews on yelp my stomach made me sit and eat here. I came on a Thursday. The first wave of food ( about 4 dishes of dimsum) came out fairly quickly. However, after my friends and I finished those, we waited over 20 minuets for the rest of our food. The staff was strange, one of the women working there saw us sitting for so long waiting for the rest of our food that she thought we were done. I asked her to check in the computer to see if the rest of our order was even put in the computer. She checked and said no. I was puzzled but at this point I just wanted to leave so I asked for my check. Right after she put the check on the table, the manager came rushing out with 2 more dishes (still not completing our order) and gave us an attitude saying "why you leave? You order this food! " wait what? The lady just said it wasn't in the machine! We just hurried up and ate it, then paid. We never got our full order. Never got any refills on tea or drink. Weird place with okay tasting food. If you are starving to the brink of death then I guess it's okay to eat here.

Pine Court was a bit of a disappointment. The experience we had here was far from good. Now, before I start, I do understand that this was their grand opening week and all but we just weren't happy with the dining experience. We arrived here around 1 and it was packed. The parking is very ample and the place is pretty big, so no worries there. However, it was packed and we waited about a half hour for a table. Not bad when it comes to Sunday dim sum brunch. (Especially when they're giving out 20% off for the grand opening). When we were seated, we were greeted by a waiter to take our drink orders and he left the paper where they mark off the items you purchase from the dim sum carts that go around table to table.....The problem was there were no carts to be seen. The kitchen must have been understaffed or unprepared because people all around were waiting impatiently for food to come out. You can tell who had been waiting the longest. They were the ones mumbling and grumbling under their breath. If you are an avid horror movie fan and enjoy Zombie movies, then you can picture in your head what we witnessed. Any time a dim sum cart came from the kitchen, it got mauled by people. They ran up to the carts in hops of finding something they wanted. We were able to get some dim sum staples like Chicken Feet, beef honeycomb tripe, turnip cake, and shumai. The stuff we did get tasted great. I thought the chicken feet was good and their honeycomb tripe was addicting. The turnip cake was a little cold and smushy. Shumai was eh...good, not great. We also got Shrimp Rice paste, which was great. We ordered several other things such as beef noodle soup because they ran out of many things like sticky rice and....Shrimp Dumplings... NO Shrimp Dumplings!? Are you kidding? Unforgivable in my book. They ran out of them around 1 p.m.? Shrimp Dumplings are my absolute favorite dim sum item and one of, if not, the most popular dishes in dim sum restaurants. The fact that they ran out instantly turned me off the place. When we asked the staff about the lack of items, they just got upset. I understand how frustrating it must have been and they must have had a rough day, but come on. Much of the staff was rude and not very helpful. We never got a refill of water despite us asking, so my dad decided to go to the little area with the sink and get some water for us. The waiters just glared him down as he brought back the water to our table. We just wanted water damnit. I get it. It's their grand opening. Maybe in the future, I'll give them a try again. But first impressions do matter. I probably won't come back til they get things figured out. I live an hour away. Once things settle down, MAYBE I'll give them another try. Til then....

We ordered takeout and it was very authentic. Closest to nyc Chinese I've had in sofla. Had a hard time ordering over the phone, and it was more expensive than other take out in the area, but we weren't disappointed. Definitely worth trying it

Four stars is a bit generous, it's more like a 3 but I do think this place has potential and hopefully it will work out its kinks soon. We saw its Grand Opening full page ad in the Chinese newspaper and went with a group of friends. When we walked in, we exclaimed how much it feels like Hong Kong. Or Toronto. The golden dragon on the red wall. The noisy, lively clanks of Cantonese. The sea of Chinese faces with nary a white one. The place looks new and clean, unlike many other dim sum placesor Chinese restaurants in S Fl. Unfortunately, the restaurant is seriously short staffed, both inside the kitchen and out on the floor. Not that the waitresses were idling... there were just not enough of them. Our tea pot went un-refilled for a long time. The kitchen wasn't turning out dim sum fast enough. Once in a long while a waitress will emerge from the kitchen with a half filled cart, or a tray with just a few bamboo steamers/plates, and will immediately be attacked by hoards of hungry customers. A lady even hijacked the cart and re-routed it towards her table. Haha, there you go, an authentic Chinese experience. I remember when I was a kid, I would be sent by my family to scout the carts for the best dishes, if we happened to sit far from the kitchen. Sadly, none of us have kids to send on such mission, and we are too dignified to hunt for food. I start to long for those order sheets. There were lots of people waiting for a table, but sadly, as no dim sum came forth nobody was leaving. Most of the dim sums are about average. The BBQ pork puff is excellent, the shrimp cheung fun (rice paste roll) quite delicious, the coconut pudding fluffy and bursting with flavor, though rather sweet. The shrimp dumpling breaks apart and the shrimp on the mushy side. The tripe and beef innards are tender and flavorful, even if the color looks bland. The egg tart is flaky, though the crust deserves a few more minutes to reach a golden brown. We can imagine someone in the kitchen yelling, Don't wait! Just pull them out of the oven or else there will be a riot out there! The variety is limited, but I don't think that's their #1 concern for now. Tired of the wait we decided to order some rice and noodles. The noodle with soy and bean sprout, and the fried rice came out surprisingly fast. Perfectly executed, with lots of "wok chi" they turned out to be the best dishes of the meal. I'll wait a few weeks and hopefully the next visit will be more positive. I'd love to have more dim sum places around!

Good NY traditional style chinese food. Update: Since they changed their chef the quality of food has not been the same. Service is not the best especially when it is super pack during the weekend for Dim Sum.

The dimsum @ Pine Court seems to be a hit-and-miss. I've been here over 5 times and each time I have a different experience. None has never been awesome. Sometimes the food is good, but the service sucks. Sometimes the food is so bad and the service is bad. The manager definitely needs to change the way the dimsum comes out. If you aren't aggressive enough, you won't get any food and starve. I would like to see more varieties of dimsum that makes them stand out. It's just too typical.

I came here because I was going to the super awesome Chinese market in the same plaza. Let's say I was truly disappointed! There were not as people when we arrived (as I would expect) and we got sat next to the kitchen door. That is fine. There were only two carts. Yes...just two carts just barely anything on it. We got only three things from the cart and I was hoping and hoping for more item but NOTHING! I had to flag down a person to get a shrimp rice noodle roll! If the food was great I might have forget about the lack of selection but it is not!!! Nothing special or good about it and the ones that were on the cart were sitting there for a long time because the dumplings were falling apart!!! That is just insane! I see people ordering items but I was too upset to do that. IF you have to order your dim sum, then stop the cart totally and just give us the menu!!!! I am never going to go back there ever again!!!

The best dim sum place to go to in South Florida. It used to be China Pavillion but this one has it beat. Not only is the interior beautifully designed and spacious but it has the tradition push carts you would see in Hong Kong. From all the times I came here the food has been great. My parents are probably the biggest critics I know and they throughly enjoy it each time with little to no complaints. The only setback is that at certain days, especially Sunday it gets super busy and you might have to wait for service. Or you might end up with a rude waitress. But that's really a minor problem compared to the excellent food offered. It's also fantastic they are right next to New York Mart as well and sometimes they have promotions running for each other.

My new favorite Dim Sum place in Broward county! My old Dim Sum place had gone down hill and there was emptiness in my life. And when I say my life, I mean my stomach. Luckily Pine Court has come along and, like a rebound relationship, helped me forget about the restaurant that scorned me. She's bigger and better and most importantly, she didn't run off with my best friend! I love the Hong Kong style carts versus the wish list that you typically have to check off at your table. They have that too, but the fresh variety is a welcome addition. Get there early on Sunday for lunch and try to get a table near the beginning of the cart's parade around the restaurant.

I came here before for dim sum and i gotta give props for it....this time i came for dinner and ordered few dishes and bbq roast pork..."cha siu fan" it threw me off when it tasted like sweet and sour pork...when i asked the waiter was told this is how its made....never seen one chinese restaurant make it like that...c/s is alright...

Wow. My husband and I just stumbled upon this place by accident and can't believe there is something this great in our own backyard. We're New York transplants and love great Chinese food, something that's pretty hard to find in South Florida. The minute we walked into Pine Court and saw actual Chinese people eating in it, we knew it was going to be good. We had the good fortune of walking in right in the middle of their Sunday dim sum lunch. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait about 5-10 minutes for a table. We were seated by a table waaaay in the back next to the bathrooms, which was not ideal. Since the restaurant was so busy, it took awhile to get noticed both by the waitstaff and the roving dim sum carts. We ordered some nice tea and a very large bowl of wonton soup to share. The soup was flavorful and just had bok choy and some light shrimp wontons in it. Very good, but you can't get an individual bowl, so plan on sharing this. Once the carts started coming around, we stuffed our faces with sweet pork buns, savory chicken and mushroom buns, shrimp dumplings, some sort of meatball and fried shrimp. The bill on your table gets marked every time you order something. Overall, everything was good, and what I've come to expect from dim sum places. I like that you can be adventurous (chicken feet and tripe, anyone?) or not and still have a great meal. I think the bill was under $30 for two people to have lunch. This place is a definite must try and we look forward to going back for dinner!

Food was not worth the wait. The service is slow. The food is cold when placed on our table. Things are flavorless. Would I come back..I don't think so.

Good dim sum carts. Everything else questionable. Customer service lacking compared to other dim sum restaurants in S. FL.

This place shouldn't even have a star. I took my friend there. There was one big cockroach crawling in front. And it's not random! We saw 3 roaches during dinner! Completely lost appetite. Most of the food was not touched, which BTW is pretty expensive for what it is. And when we try to reason with the waitress. She said it is NORMAL for any restaurant to have!!! Are you out of your mind?!! We will never return!

Service was absolutely terrible. Be ready to yell at passing waitress as they whiz by you like the restaurant was a race track. Also, be ready to be terribly disappointed if you've had decent dim sum anywhere else. Compared to New York, Houston, Dallas, Denver, New Orleans, etc...this place is like comparing a Red Lobster to an Emeril's. Bad service, boring limited selection of items that taste like they are from the deep freezer at Publix, and a manager who had a constantly unhappy expression on his face as if he had just tried a dumpling from the cart and didn't like the taste. Go elsewhere...or better yet; grab a few frozen items from Ny Mart next door, pick up a steamer, and make it at home. You'll be happier.

I'm glad this restaurant opened in Fort Lauderdale. That's what was missing for my Sunday brunch. Sure, you can go to these buffets like Dragon Gourmet or Eastern Fusion, or even eat dim sum a la carte in a restaurant like Hong Kong BBQ, but there is a definite charm to eat at Pine Court when they bring you the carts filled with these delicious steaming bites of shrimp, meat or squid. The jasmine tea was just right and very aromatic. The dim sums are fresh, well sized portions. You can order special plates if you want. Last time, we chose squid and it came perfectly chiseled and steamed enough to make it melt in your mouth. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to experience a taste of China in a very clean place, with great service, and smiling waiters.

I'm at a cross between a 3 and a 3 1/2. First off, I went during the 20% off entire bill grand opening so I can understand if their food may have improved because first off, the size/portion was small. And even though they have the push carts it was so busy and lacked variety that I would have rather have them do it the "new school" style and just ring up the order rather than pushing the carts around. BUT like I said it was super busy when I went and it's never recommended to go anywhere on opening day as I've realized when I went to Western Beef. Their shrimp dumpling was glued to the paper underneath it. The wrapping fell apart trying to pull the shrimp dumpling from the wax paper. =( Their steamed pork buns were good but way too small... like it probably would have been 1 1/2 of the regular sized one if you mushed it together. Ribs and pork belly or tripe (whatever it was) was good but way too small of a portion. Like I said, maybe they improved with time since I went opening week. My main gripe along with my family's was that some of it was way too salty. At this point I can't even taste it being too salty because typical Chinese food to me is TOO SALTY. I guess that shows you how great my Chinese food experiences have been in S FL! It's all summed up by one word! SALTY! To the point that I cannot even tell any more. Oh and that weird, "Makes me sleepy after I eat it" wonder of Chinese food definitely applied here too... BUT the same happened with China Pavilion and Bamboo Garden too so maybe I'm allergic to Chinese food. =p Dim sum wise, it's okay. I'd recommend it if you're craving it but for really good dim sum... I dunno. You tell me if that really exists inside S FL. Outside, yes...

This place was "serendipity" and "wtf?" is going on. So, I had to give it an fair rate because I really am being honest. Generally, the place IS fancy, romantic, and looks glamorous BUT there are the good and the bad or pros and cons. The pros: the food or dim sum which we only ate was fine and the tea was very good. The cons: terrible service and communications. Yes, I mean, I was SHOCKED that they didn't know how to respond in English. I looked at my mom and my aunt, they were stunned as well. Lets face it, we live in South Florida with wonderful multicultural communities. As an American with immigrated family, at least my mom & aunt knows how to speak and communicate in English on basic levels. Of course, this is Chinese Restaurant in Sunrise, FL USA. The waiters and the employees needs to REALIZE that it's not only Chinese costumers who are coming in but as well as other nationalities. If we do come back here again, I hope to the last drop of hope that they notice or at least improve the communication skills as well as the service. This is our first time to eat in this restaurant and if we do eat here then at least we know how to order it in a weird way... No wonder why the other restaurant that we love the most gets positive reviews and check-ins.

The four stars is for the dim sum only, as we have not gone here for a dinner yet. That time will be coming shortly. There are generally two ways to get your dim sum here: from the carts pushed by servers who generally can point out what each dish is OR you can order directly from the dim sum menu if that is better for you. We have eaten dim sum from NYC Chinatown to San Francisco and then from Vancouver to Hong Kong. The two South Florida competitors of this restaurant (for dim sum) would be Tao Tao and Hong Kong City, both respectable and very good. Pine Court is up an edge because they have the carts, the choices are more varied, and the atmosphere almost makes one feel that they are in Hong Kong. So, for these reasons I would rate this place on top. By the way, we have learned that the New York Mart (in same shopping center) is owned by same person as who owns Pine Court. If you like Asian Supermarkets you just have to walk off your dim sum in here. Superb assortment of canned and frozen Asian foods..........and don't miss the fresh fish section which has snails, blue crab, dungenous, striped bass, flounder, yellow tail, shrimp, etc. All very fresh!

I am a big fan of dim sum and have been going to Toa Toa regularly. I decided to try Pine Court because I do like the cart service. The first several items we received were cold. They would have been good if they were warm. The items we received that were warm / hot were good...the problem is not all were warm. Also, there were long periods of waiting in between carts. We tried to get a waiter to get some other items...also was a challenge (seemed like a lot of people worked there but nobody knew where our waiter was). I think I will stick with Toa Toa since the food is always good (and hot / warm) and the service has always been great there. I'm not sure if I will give Pine Court another chance...right now, thinking not so much.

Opened recently. Grand opening special, they are taking 20% off your bill. Not sure when it will be over. Went here for Dim Sum Sunday. Almost fully packed with Chinese customers eager to try it out. Its a new restaurant so everything is clean. Pretty large place. It is cart service for Dim Sum. The Dim Sum was very good. Its a 30min drive for us but we will come again. Pork Dumpling (sui mai) was large. Pork and shrimp was in large chunks. Tasty. It wasnt in one solid piece like other places which reminds me of a meatball in a wrapper. Stuffed bean curd was good, had bamboo shoots in it. Roasted pork buns (char sui bao) was excellent. Nice appearance. The ratio was perfect, sorta thin bread around juicy pork filling. Pineapple bun (bolo bao) was excellent. I miss eating this. Similar to Roasted pork buns, has good ratio of bread and yellow filling. Shrimp dumpling was good. It sticks to the paper just like the port dumpling but minor issue. Lotus paste bun is awesome. Small and perfect, peel outer skin and take a bite. Has some bits of egg yolk in middle. Congee millennium egg w/ pork was good. Pan Fried Turnip Cake was excellent but a little oily. WOW, they have beef tendons!!! This is incredible. Normally you get a few pieces out of the beef stew order which is the best thing about it and now you can get an entire order of it!! Update: Side note, the review was based on me going there when they opened. I have had a few reports of it being too packed by late noon and service is suffering. Please try to go early if you want. Its a new place, give them time to figure it out. Also, stop bitching about the paper sticking to the dumpling, use your fingers and remove the paper.

This is a cart-pushing dim sum. Very large restaurant which serves your typical dishes. I have only eaten here for the dim sum, have yet to try their main dishes. The service was a bit lacking and I didn't find anything that separates them to other dim sum places, but I would go back.

Didn't get some Dim Sum !!!!!! After reading about the Dim Sum in New times figured I would try this place. Was seated by a young girl and was given some hot tea and peanuts..Looked around for Dim Sum carts, but no carts, told us they had a Dim Sum menu, so we ordered several to try along with a entrée..After 20 minutes the entrée came and 1 minute later was swooped up and said this was not your order. Another 10 minutes went by and the next lady was yelling at the owner and manager that she never got there appetizers, the owner and Manager just walked away.5 minutes later the entrée arrived and 1 minute later was swooped up again as this also was not our entrée..The waiter came over and asked where our Dim Sum Was DAHHHH..Never got it..After 45 minutes with no one coming by and no food, so we left. The lady that was yelling at the owner and manager told us I guess you got tired of waiting.Other patrons that came in after us got there food, I guess you should not be seated next the wall..And restaurant was not even half full..Will never go back there again.DIDN'T GET OUR DIM SUM..

A new dim sum place in South FL. This place can get really crowded on weekend. If you are planning to go on a weekend, I do suggest you to go after 1:30pm. Food is good. The only bad thing about them is that when they get busy, you need to get your servers attentions for tea and water.

Went back for dinner and was quite surprised for as good as the Dim Sum was the dinner was very average.... The staff appeared withdrawn, polite but did not make you feel welcome, which initially made me feel good as I thought now at least I would get some GOOD authentic Chinese Food (poor attitude = great food is my rule regarding Chinese Restaraunts!) .... it was a Friday night and hardly a few tables occupied. The reason we came here was because the Silver Pond was closed for it's Summer vacation and the H K City BBQ was too busy - our usual 2 GREAT places to eat at! We ordered the Chicken Corn Soup which was decent (the sliced green chillies in Soya Sauce we requested never came), the Shrimp in vegetables was bland and lacked flavor, the Beef with Ginger and Scallions reminded me of the old Wendy's ad and I ended thinking out loudly to my self "Where's the Beef??", the Crispy Pork chops were not crispy, the Fish and Tofu Casserole was edible, the Yung Chow Fried Rice and the Pan Fried Noodles with Chicken were decent. The a/c appeared to have been shut off before we got there and it would have been pleasant, if it were snowing outside! I think the HK City BBQ and the Silver Pond have no worries about any competition from this place unless things improve drastically........ so until it snows in S Florida you may not see me again (at dinner) in this place!

I know I am getting real Chinese food when as soon as I walk in I see the telltale sign- dinner alive in a tank waiting for me to order. Yes- this means getting my fish fresh and having the whole fish steamed head and all. Any place that can serve me a fresh fish head and fresh fish in traditional Chinese style gets my five stars. Also the variety of Chinese veggies are plentiful and if you are conscious of what you eat you can always ask for them to steam the veggies and put the oyster sauce in the side. I'm not a fan of having the veggies pan cooked with all that oil. If you do not speak the language don't be afraid to ask if they have any specials. They are super friendly and welcome those who are adventurous and would like to venture past the typical beef and broccoli.

BEYOND TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Total chaos, food was cold, I complained about the service & they did NOTHING! All they care about is making money, customer satisfaction comes LAST!! So if you want to wait an HOUR just to get one dish on your table (that's all you're probably gonna get), knock yourself out. But I think there are much better options in the area. Save your time & go somewhere else!!!

I have lived in Florida for the most part of my life and stopped eating Chinese food because it was terrible!! As it turned out, I thought it was terrible because I never had real Chinese food! I had moved to Maryland for a few years and wound up eating at a Chinese restaurant that had 2 menus. I noticed that the red menu was given to us while the Chinese couple in front of us were given a blue menu. I asked the waiter what the difference was and he told me that our menu was modified because Americans don't eat real Chinese food. I told him I wasn't most Americans and I want to eat Chinese food, or else I wouldn't have come there. He gave me the Chinese menu and I ordered a duck dish that was amazing. Having that said, now that I know what real Chinese food is like, I do like Chinese food but only if it is real. Last week I was in the area and saw the Pine Court restaurant. I went in to look at the menu, that pretty much tells me what to expect. The selection was more authentic than most if not all Chinese restaurants in South Florida. Noting that the place was filled with Chinese people also told me that this was the real deal. The place was quiet and clean. I ordered my food and of course I had to order some Dim Sum. The food was fresh and really tasty. My advise, if you are one of the many Americans that will eat any version of any ethnic food whether it is authentic or modified for Americans, then I do not recommend this place. If you are a true food connoisseur, you will love this place.

Great family style Chinese food. I come from a Chinese family and this is one of the most authentic restaurants in the area. The service can be hit or miss, but the food is right on, reasonably priced for the size, and there is never a wait to be seated.

ZERO stars, zilch nada nothing. You've got to be kidding me!!! The WORSE service I think I have ever experienced in the last 3 years!! Place was 75% full. We order, soup, appetizers and an entree 1 HOUR Later...yes 1 hour later the waitress who didn't speak a lick of English brings out the egg drop soup. Ok its a holiday, the soup came in a LARGE bowl, we each had a tiny bit of the soup. OK for 8 bucks for the bowl of soup, the portions are family style. We wait, wait wait. I observe people getting angry. I see people getting up from their table to get their OWN food! No appetizers!! None Entrees come. My squid tastes like it was sitting in the kitchen for a while. The Duck entree comes 5 minutes after the squid. The taste of the duck is ok. The squid tastes like, well...like it's been sitting there. I tell the waitress, ummm what happened to my appetizer? "Oh oh so soorwy." People around us are now leaving without eating! We should have done just that! I ask for the bill and where is the LARGE bowl of soup that the waitress stated she will give us (we paid a lot of a bowl of soup here) to take home. I just knew she threw it out. Another waitress comes out with a Little Little take out container of what was supposed to be our left over soup. No way was this all the soup left over, just no way. The Bill comes and of course they still have the appetizers which we never got yet someone they "remembered to bill us." I told whomever, take this off our Bill! Fuming mad. Needless to continue, I really hope this place is out of business within months. The price points are rather high for this area plus the food was eh, and the service was just crazy crazy bad. OOOMPPHA!!! Fatty says...go some where else!!!

This used to be one of my favorite Dim Sum place in South Fla, unfortunately this time was very disappointing due to bad service. We sat at a large table almost in the middle of the dining room and close to the kitchen. After a while of being sitted, I started noticing that there were some people by the kitchen (steam area) where the Dim Sum goodies were baked and taken to their tables....then I realized that I had to approach to that area so I could have some food, because I saw that no carts were getting to our table. The waiter was very rude!! We ordered a Beef Chow Fun and it was burned, the rude waiter then took it away with an attitude and didnt want to hear the reason why it was being returned he just said we just didnt liked it...Hello!!! Who will want a burned Beef Chow Fun? The Dim Sum was ok just a bit better quality than China Pavillion. Of course Chinese people only come to this restaurant because of the food quality and can care less about the service

Went there for dinner and even had reservations. Don't know what the manager was thinking of scheduling only 2 waiters, 1 person busting tables, and it had to be 1 person in the kitchen. It took over 1 hour and 15 min for our first dish to come out. Taste was average Chinese cuisine, nothing really special, full of soy sauce, msg, and more soy sauce. When we did finally start eating the 1 waiter was nice enough to warn new customers that were waiting at the door for a table that they were really backed up, how embarrassing is that for their business. If there was an option to give negative stars I would. Save yourself the frustration and call ahead and ask if they have a full staff working even after reading this review.

I went to most of the dim sums in south florida and this place is by far the worst one I have ever experienced. Not only was the service horrible but the food was also pretty bad. As we sat down and waited for the carts to go around, it took at least 20 minutes to get any service even inbetween foods. In my opinion, they need more workers and carts since this place is pretty big compared to other dim sum like Toa Toa. They basically only speak Chinese so you won't be able to communicate at all with the employees. Overall, the place was very disorganized. You could tell that managers and workers were running back and forth to get different plates for each group. People were trying to get the workers attention to get their foods while others were yelling and getting up to get their attention. I also noticed that people that could speak in Chinese were able to get their food quickly while others were just sitting there. Lastly, as my family were getting up to leave because we got sick of the service, the manager/owner came over and gave us an attitude. He told us that 20 minutes waiting for one dish is not long, however, in my opinion that was unacceptable. He was very rude and so we gave no tip whatsoever. We will never go back to this place. Go to Toa Toa! There service is amazing and so are their food. This place will be busy only because it's their grand opening. Eventually they will die down until they know how to run the restaurant.

Horrible Service. Very disappointed. The staff was extremely rude and disorganized. I have never taken the time to post a review for a restaurant before, but this restaurant is definitely worthy of one. I am Chinese and there aren't many of these so called authentic Chinese restaurants in South Florida, so when this one opened I was really looking forward to taking my family here to try their dim sum. We were seated at one end of the restaurant, in a corner. Each time the carts came out with food, the staff would start at the other end (the more decorated side of the restaurant). The restaurant is very large, needless to say if you have all the carts (which there weren't even enough of) start at one end each time, of course they would run out of food before making it to the other end of the restaurant. We felt very neglected as customers. During our 45 minutes there, only two carts made their way over and did not even have the basic shrimp dumplings or siu mai. We did resort to ordering a few items off the menu since the dim sum was not working out. We ordered 3 plates of the shrimp cheong fun. When one of the servers came out with the 3 plates, we were certain it was ours. We watched her go to 3 different tables around us to ask if they ordered it. We knew it was ours and tried to get her attention, by saying "Ma'am, ma'am," over and over, but she ignored us because the third table she went to were in the middle of asking if they could just take the food anyways (they must have been very hungry too). At this point I was furious. I said to her, "I am trying to tell you the food is ours." She replied rudely with an attitude, "I don't know who's food it is." As a server, how do you not know who ordered what and then give the customer an attitude for trying to get your attention. I told her to bring me my check and I would only pay for what we ate. I walked up to speak to the manager who was standing by the carts about the food not coming over and he was completely distracted and all over the place. He screamed to me as he was walking away, "There is no food here. SORRY." Astonished, at that point I just wanted to leave. What else can you do if the manager doesn't even care? No one came to get my credit card, so I walked up to the cashier to pay. Standing there with the check in hand, she carries out a conversation with another employee. I waited to see how long it would take for them to acknowledge me. When they were done with their conversation, one of them said to the other in Chinese (thinking I did not understand), "I think she wants to pay." I have never had such a frustrating experience at a restaurant in my life. Don't waste your time or spend your hard earned money at this place.

Nice and clean and new but...... The service is terrible . The food is just ok. I would rather go to Silver Pond and wait one hour. It's all about the food. Not even close. Lamb chops in a Chinese restaurant? My wife had to try them. Yuk !

Not sure why people rave about this place, is really not that great. Very disorganized and poorly manage. Food is alright.
