I have only had two experiences but they where enough to write about! The atmosphere is great and staff are friendly but the food is one of a kind! I had fried ravioli and the lasagna! Just delicious! I loved everything! Best kept secret !!

Recent delivery orders have come out janky. Ordered a personal pepperoni, calamari, and clams in white wine sauce on this past order. Calamari was meh (I think they got 2 cooks in the back) and the clams were excellent. Now the personal pepperoni was old. Like re-heated after somebody cancelled their order old. How do I know? I made hand-slapped pizza for 2 years at a mom-and-pop during my college years. Did 6 months in a mom-and-pop pizza shop in high school. I would say I've made quite a bit of pizza. This pizza was old and re-heated. Cheese was that funky texture of cooked fresh, left out, re-heated. Rubbery, had a different hazy color and texture to it (not that fresh roasted look, bubbly etc). The product changes with each iteration.

I don't know what people end up liking about this place. There is just nothing special about it. The only things on the menu I liked (& I gave them enough chances because my boyfriend & his family have been going there for years, I didn't write them off right away) were the desserts & the Milano salad which comes with jumbo shrimp. But their sauce is mediocre, so is the pasta. And when you eat there, there's always a weird stale smell coming from somewhere. We tried delivery a couple of times. The first time it was similar to the other review about taking forever & getting lied to about how 'it's on it's way," & the second time they were just so rude on the phone... & it wasn't the endearing New Yorker type of direct personality...it was just downright rude. My boyfriend & his family have finally stopped going there too, thank goodness! There are wayyy too many good Italian places on this side of town to settle for this place. Life's too good to waste on a bad meal and rude service. You want good Italian with genuinely kind service? Try Marola's on University & Ramblewood- small place, finally tried them the other day & it's fantastic!

I would have given the restaurant five stars. The food was great and sauces tasted homemade. But here is the rub. We always get a bar b que chicken pizza to go. If the sauce is made to order in the back. How could they have run out? The wait staff is very inattentive and clumsy. I have been splashed in sauce once before from fallout from several tables away wthout apology. Today it was the soup. We keep going back for the good consistency of the food. But one can forget about good service.

The Foccacia bread that comes with the meal is AMAZING. Four people in our party, each ordered 2 plates each so we could all share, and EVERYTHING was delicious. The servers were fantastic, and the prices were reasonable. What more could you ask for??

3.5 star pizza This crunchy, greasy meat lovers pizza was exactly what I needed after a few drinks. I would eat pizza from here again if I was in the neighborhood. It was good and sure as hell beats the Papa Johns and Pizza Hut that surrounds it.

Whenever I visit the folks, I go here! Authentic, delish and low key!

I really enjoy the food at Milano's! I give them 3 of 5 only because their customer service is inconsistent. Sometimes you get someone that says you cannot replace something as simple as regular fries for sweet potato fries and other days they do it without a problem. They make really good food and I always order for delivery but they sometimes take a little longer then expected and when I decided to go eat at the restaurant I was disappointed in their service there as well. They brought me my sauteed spinach on a sticky dirty plate and when they brought it again after I complained and they apologized, the waitress was back in less then a minute with my spinach which was definitely not hot making me think she just tossed my original spinach on a clean plate. This was extremely disappointing to me but I a am a firm believer on second chances. I still have yet to return to dine in but I have gotten delivery...I guess I rather not know what happens behind the kitchen... Overall, good chef --not so great service.

Wow. I'm more than a fan of this place. When you pull up, don't be afraid if you don't see anyone else there. We were almost scared away by the empty parking lot and even emptier restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable for the large quantity of food you get. You could totally share a meal with two and possibly three. We came with a group of six and everyone was so pleased we decided to stay. All of our dinners were excellent. We will definitely be coming back here if our travels permit.

The focaccia was not cooked. The service was not the best. The pizza dough wasn't cooked either. Won't be back.

I would give Milano's 0 stars if I had the option. Boy, do I have some bones to pick with this place. Last night, my family and I ordered a pizza for delivery as it was raining and nobody wanted to go out. I say this because my parents are regulars to this place and normally pick up their pizzas themselves. Lessons learned. First of all we were quoted 35 minutes. My dad must have had a hunch that was problem number one because his response was, "we'll see about that." His hunch was right. After an hour and no pizza my mom called on the E.T.A.. We were told by the person who answered the phone, 'the driver was on their way." Just as the saying goes, "check's in the mail." They were not on their way because 20 minutes passed and they still hadn't shown up. I should probably tell you that the promiximity of Milano's to my parent's house is comically close. We put another phone call in and were told the same thing, except this time my dad warned that if the pizza showed up cold it was going back; he's not one to mess with. We waited another 10 minutes with no pizza in sight and decided to forget it. We had waited over an hour past our quote time. We ordered from somewhere else and sure enough that is when the delivery guy called claiming he was outside. I was standing by the window and saw no such person so clearly had he gotten lost going around the corner. I informed him we had ordered from somewhere else already and told him to bring the pizza back. He insisted that he was at our house as I stood outside and watched the rain. The kicker is it wasn't but 10 minutes later that the delivery guy still had the nerve to show up at our door. I reminded him that I had told him not to, we had ordered dinner elsewhere and didn't want it. He persistently tried to convince me the pie was still hot with an attempt at "it's my first day" sympathy. No dice. He finally took the hint and left and we enjoyed our Tijuana Flats that was ordered, made and picked up in 10 minutes. I think it will be a while if at all before my parents order from Milano's again because this type of service is just unacceptable.

I decided to get pizza from Milano's as it's right down the street from my house. Seeing as it had decent reviews I figured that it couldn't be too bad. However, the cheese pizza I ordered had the strange gummy texture of a reheated pizza. Clearly, it was not a freshly baked pie. The white pizza was not great but at least it was freshly made. I will not be eating here again.

I am slightly obsessed with the white pizza!! My son loves the chicken parmesan and bow tie pasta. The chicken pastini soup is really yummy also.

My husband and I went there for the first time because we live nearby and we were very impressed. The house salad was amazing. Stuffed clams also excellent. We recommend it!!

The pizza here is very good. $5 for 2 slices and a drink, good deal and they have a few stools when you first come in so you can just eat and go. North End of Broward is sorely lacking for good pizza and the best way i can describe the pizza is that it is hearty and it doesn't make you feel sick, not a greasy pizza at all. The ingredients are top notch. I want to try other things there but I keep eating the pizza. Meatballs are outstanding, try the meatball pizza, very good. $9.99 large Cheese pizza carry out M-Thursday, that is a heckuva deal.

Have eaten pizza here many times. Their pizza sauce is wonderful and the crust is great! The owners are very nice people.

This is a small family-owned Italian red-sauce restaurant-pizzeria in a strip mall. I've been here twice and been pleased both times. The menu is small, including seafood, chicken, veal, pasta, pizza. I had a respectable zuppa di pesci, and the veal dishes were quite good. The food was well-prepared, nicely presented and good quality. The portions were generous. The prices were fairly low. The service was friendly. Definitely a good place for local dining

Pizza was outstanding! I'm a pizza connoisseur and I was impressed. Wine was old and taramisu was average (great icing though). Nonetheless, The pizza will keep me coming. Lunch special- 2 slices of cheese and a soda for 4.99- can't beat that.

Milano Italian Grill is a small, family-owned restaurant with fresh food, good service, and a quite atmosphere. Walking in to the restaurant you can see that the owners put in some thought to its layout. It feels more upscale than your typical mom and pop Italian place. There are absolutely no paper place mats with pictures of Italy, thank God. The menu is simple, but complete. The garlic rolls are amazing, so make sure and get some of those. The pizza is pretty good. The sauce is outstanding and my wife and I often find ourselves ordering additional side cups of sauce just to dip the aforementioned garlic rolls. The prices are very good, considering what you get. I would recommend this place if you want a quiet, quality restaurant and don't want to wait in line just to get a decent Italian meal.

I love love love this restaurant! I am originally from Brooklyn, NY so I know good pizza and let me tell you this is the BEST NY style pizza I have had in South Florida and I have lived here for almost 6 years and tried many different "NY style" pizzerias and restaurants. The pasta and seafood dishes are all amazing as well. I believe the owners are actually from New York. They even have amazing chicken rolls, pepperoni rolls, and calzones! Soooo NY! - reminds me of home =) Oh and sicilian slices! yummm. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. I go to this restaurant everytime I am in the area. I dont understand why this place is never that busy. I guess not too many people really know about it. What a shame. Definitely check this place out if you want some real NY style italian food!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
